Check in staff very friendly. Good breakfast options Had a spider some weird maybe dragonfly type dug and a huge fly in my room. Carpet was gross. Tv extremely small. Just not a good quality hotel over all.

We laid in bed and found it had been peed in by not an animal....but a person. New linens thrown right on top. Never staying there again

The room was dirty. Uses tissues on the desk and hair clinging to the wall in the shower. The hallway smelled bad. We couldn’t get the TV to work.

Anytime towels were needed we had to go down stairs and bring our dirty wet towels. Would not give us additional towels unless wet dirty ones were given back downstairs.

felt the guy could look a little more presentable in the hospitality business for a Holiday Inn. Hair was all shaggy and did not look very clean for someone at the front desk. he looked more like a janitor

It was very clean, close to Whitetail Resort and Hagerstown. The beds were comfortable. Wish they had updated TVs.

Quiet night sleep and a great breakfast

All staff are very nice, helpful, and pleasant. Breakfast is a bonus! I wish the pancake machine was working! Its my favorite breakfast item at Holiday Inn Express.

It was ok for an over night stay during what would've been a 13+ hour trip.. Breakfast wasn't that great and when we were packing up to leave we found ants coming from the wall near the bed going up to where we had food sitting by the microwave so that was disappointing. Although we did get free points we still don't like to wake up to ants. We didn't go to the pool area but our room was right across from it and the hot tub floor looked kind of gross due to color change. We were there on the night of January 1st 2026 and the lady working the front desk when we checked out on the 2nd was really nice and quick to try and make our night with ants worth while by treating us to some points..

I arrived about 20 minutes before check in and was told I had to wait. I have no problem with this part! What bothered me was that I was kicked out of the lobby and forced to stand outside with all my bags for 20 minutes. When I got to my room, I found it was infested with bugs. They seemed to be coming out of the AC unit and I killed over 20 myself. If it wasn’t in such a remote location, I would have left.

What an amazing place. It looks so nice and clean. The room was a king size bed and sitting area. Very spacious. The bathroom was great. Well lit will a long counter top space. Love all the amenities the place have to order.

Location was good.

Stayed here last year also, this hotel is great for day trips on the C&O canal. The breakfast is a welcome feature. Only disappointment this trip; the hot tub was not hot, it wasn’t much warmer than the pool. This is normally an enjoyable feature after a long day, so I was pretty bummed. Other than that, the hotel met expectations.

Good option for an affordable, clean room. Hot tub was a nice bonus!

The staff was taking good care of the facility, but the building felt a little worn. The carpets were all getting swept, but need a good deep clean. The desk and breakfast crew were top notch. The food was good, hot, and ready. As we left we saw the lady in charge of the area moving each table individually to clean it and sweep around it.

They blamed hotels.com then found out it was their issue ( messaged with someone who was so kind and helpful) I’ve been told they were giving me 2000 points on my account because of the inconvenience but don’t know where to find those points. Eugene at the front desk is the one who lied about the overbooking issue… I didn’t appreciate that. He could have just stated that they messed up and I probably would have dismissed the issue.

The hotel was good - it is in a convenient location, clean room, friendly staff. The only issue (and it is not the fault of the hotel) is that the town has a volunteer fire department post near the hotel that uses what sounds like a tornado siren to notify volunteers and it went off 4 times in night.

Basically your average hotel. I booked this because it was inexpensive and the reviews were decent. Not a bad stay for the location. I was upset that they did not have accessible chargers for an EV on site when that was part of the determining factor of booking it.

The place was quiet and the breakfast was what I have come to expect from the Holiday Inn chain, of hotels.

I stayed at this hotel with my fiancé from May 25th - May 28th and it was absolutely amazing. Michelle was AWESOME!! She was always with a smile and an attitude of service that I really appreciate. She got mad resolution skills. All the staff was super nice, complementary breakfast from 6AM to 9:30 AM if I’m not mistaken every single choice was great quality, proper heat and the accommodations are just lovely. Cozy and clean rooms equipped to ensure comfort, privacy, rest, and wake up refreshed. Laundry room was a plus!! Thank you for being so nice! Just FYI: the jacuzzi in the pool area need some cleaning, maintenance and the jets are not working.

I was placed in a room that needed repairs, the covers were stained and there were ants. When calling down to the front desk I was asked to bring the cover down because they were short staffed and told they could do nothing for me because they were completely booked AND because I booked the room on Expedia. The next day in the morning I asked if there were any rooms available and was finally placed in another room for the night which was much better.

The property was close to everything we needed. It was clean and quiet.

I was attempted to be charged a $200 incidentals fee because my address was in neighboring WV. The fee was waived but that is ridiculous. No other hotel have i stayed at locally charges any such thing. Not even in WV, i checked as a follow-up. The bathroom was not cmvery satisfactory luckily i come with my own cleaning supplies. There was a stain on the shower curtain as well as the tub. But if your just staying for a day or two your fine. The staff was pleasant.

Absolutely disgusting pit ran by thieving hillbillies. Dirty room, trash in hallways, NO HOT WATER the ENTIRE time we were there, water leaking heavily from ceiling tiles in the hallway, hotel filled with dirty construction workers partying all night. Worst of all: I’m a 100% disabled veteran traveling with my service animal as I have been for over a decade with no issue. When checking in it clearly states I’m disabled with an animal on my reservation and I informed the front desk upon check in. The surly trashy old lady at the front desk was clearly not paying attention to me just joking with a bunch of dirty workers and didn’t care what I said. After checking out they charged me an ADDITIONAL $75 on top of the already ridiculously overpriced room rate of $129 because of a “pet fee”. When I called to ask why I was charged when traveling with my service animal, the disgusting old woman who checked me accused me of having a fake service animal and lying about being a disabled veteran then hung up on me!!!!! Never in ten years of staying at 100s of hotels with my service animal as a disabled Iraqi war veteran have I ever been treated this way. Luckily I was able to contact Holiday Inn Express corporate complaint department to lodge a formal complaint and was informed they’d be launching an investigation into the disgusting witch of a front desk manager for her horrible actions. Oh and this one horse town has literally NOTHING to eat!

We had a great stay other than some noisy neighbors at 2:30am on Saturday morning. The staff were awesome and really enjoyed the pool/hot tub. Would definitely stay again.

We had a nice stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We stayed here for its proximity to the Whitetail ski area, for we enjoy shredding the gnar. The wifi worked wonderfully for remote work. We were surprised to learn there is a a hot tub in the pool area as it was not listed or shown in any of the photos. There is an exercise room which is open 24/7 to allowed pumping of iron at any time. The included breakfast was tasty and filled our bellies with the nourishment we needed to dominate all the slopes at the ski area. There was also cheap fuel right by the entrance.

The breakfast offering also far exceeded my expectations with lots of selections. Probably the best breakfast I have had at any hotel recently. My only two criticisms was the check-in was slow when I arrived. The person at the front desk was on a personal call and then once she hung up, she had a phone call related to a medical emergency at the hotel. Also, parking was at a premium but only because of my late arrival. I did find a parking space though. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to weary travelers.

We enjoyed our stay at this motel. The room was nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast was so good. However, I was not expecting addition charges when I arrived to supposedly have refunded later. It's been several days and still no refund. It would of been nice to know of this charge while booking on Expedia.

We were there overnight on our way home. The staff was friendly, rooms clean and the bed comfy. They had a dresser & a closet, which appears to be rare these days. Pool was a bit chilly, hot tub clean, breakfast typical buffet. All in all, a great place to stay.

Great hotel at a great price only about 10 minutes of the main highway. If you get there before 9pm there is a cute little Pizza place across the road that had great food and great service. Was able to park my pick up and 14ft Cargo trailer no problem. Staff was super friendly and room was clean and renovated with Holiday inn’s new layout that has the cool lighting coming from the top of the bed and furniture. Overall had a great stay and highly recommend!
