- Minor repairs needed in some rooms
- Evening meals could be improved

I loved that this place creates an environment to remove yourself from technology a little bit and encourages you to enjoy the things around you. The property was great on the inside and nice on the outside as well. I think the addition of bird feeders or something along those lines could help bring even more life to the property.

Delicious continental breakfast- with warm quiche, fresh fruit, and a muffin. Wonderful way to end our stay at this charming hotel.

My wife and I were traveling to the area to see a concert at the Darien Lake Amphitheater and booked the Asa Ransom House for an overnight stay so we didn’t have to drive back so late. Unfortunately the concert was postponed, but we liked our stay so much that we reserved the same room for the rescheduled concert date. We actually reserved an extra night so we could take a side trip to Niagara Falls. The owner Bradley is genuinely friendly and accommodating, our room was very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic.

Cute park look in quaint town. Rooms were large and very comfortable with antique furniture. Breakfast was a delicious experience as different every day. Feel there should have been the option for an evening snack available such as charcuterie or cookies and maybe wine. Coffee bar was great but not checked as coffee maker had no water and option available was water pitcher next to maker leaving it empty. Also no creamer available for coffee. A small fridge could be stored at coffee bar to place creamer and snacks as an option

It was a quaint old tavern that was very quiet and peaceful. The room were decorated in period furniture. They beds were very comfy. The inn owners were nice but not around much. I enjoyed reading in front of the fire in the pallor. The breakfast was indeed delicious. They serve high tea on Thursday and Saturdays. I’d like to do that next time. They were in the midst of some renovations but it didn’t really affect our stay too much. I’d like to see what it looks like when they are all done. Breakfast was served from 8:30-9:30. I would had liked it to be served earlier. The innkeeper gave us a brief tour of the inn when we got there but neglected to show us the wine bar. No big deal but it would have been nice to know about it. It would have been nice to have some information on local sights and restaurants.

Breakfast was above average. Very nice presentation. Clean tables with cloth table cloths was appreciated.

I returned to Asa Ransom house because it is lovely and comfortable, even though it is a bit of a distance from my activities in Buffalo. The breakfast is fantastic and the Tesla charger makes it a winner.
- 5/5
Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Great hospitality, exceptional breakfast; warmly decorated, clean and comfortable lodging. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Such a characterful property. The tea/ coffee facilities on the ground floor were ideal and our welcome goodies an unexpected delight. Bradley was a warm and welcoming host. Of particular note were the superb breakfasts, best we’ve had anywhere. Each morning Bradley served a freshly baked savoury dish, freshly baked cake, lovely mixed fruit and exceptionally good coffee. We are already plotting our return visit.

Bradley was a great host! Our breakfast was delectable 😋
- 5/5
It was fantastic. The room was great. Breakfast was absolutely perfect. They do an amazing job to ensure there is zero stress. We plan to visit again. It's in a small, quiet town with plenty of quality restaurants within walking distance.
- 5/5
Very nice B&B. Beautiful, historic, and lovely in every way. If I’m ever in NY, I’ll go out of my way to return here.
- 5/5
History abounds in this quaint and cozy old-fashioned boutique hotel on Main Street in the heart of town. I am 75 years old and I felt like I was visiting my grandparents home. It was delightful. Warm and friendly service too. Highly recommend.

We love this place, super cute.

Asa Ransom house become your home away from home. Abigail's Garden was my room and it was true to its name. I slept well in a well finished room with floral decorations giving me the experience of resting in a Garden. Just lovely, cannot wait to see the other rooms!
- 5/5
Breakfast was gourmet.
- 5/5
A very nice spot. We were on our way to Canada and stayed there just one night but it will become a regular spot on our travels back and forth. Quiet, peaceful and a delicious breakfast to get us on our way.
- 5/5
This was our first experience in a B&B and it was great. we had a very pleasant experience
- 5/5
We have stayed here three times. Always very clean and quiet. The owner is welcoming. Property is in good condition. Love the whirlpool tub and patio in Abigail's Room!
- 5/5
Had a lovely stay with my pup. Very welcoming. Nice rail trail nearby to walk off the road. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely stay again if my travels take me through this area again.
- 5/5
Our in keeper was fantastic! He did everything: Gardening, meal preparation, a gracious host, and all done superbly! The food was wonderful. Rooms and the lounge are were delightfully cozy.
- 5/5
A beautiful country hotel. The host is very knowledgeable, helpful and affable. It’s our go to place when we stay in the Buffalo area.
- 5/5
The host was super friendly and informative. The history about the inn is interesting. The room was clean, neat and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and my wife and I really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Wonderful visit. Close to Clarence Town Park and several antique shops. Very friendly innkeeper, cozy seating in the parlor by the fire, and tasty breakfast. Just a lovely time at Asa Ransom House.
- 5/5
All in all, a delightful experience.
- 5/5
Loved the property and the history of the place. Breakfast was really good and I was allowed to invite a friend for $30. Very homey, and not far from the Clarence antique markets.
- 5/5
This is such a beautiful inn! I truly enjoyed my stay, especially since I was there during the holidays and everything was decorated beautifully and festive. Bradley is a great host! Loved the breakfast too.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, they upgraded our room, what a lovely surprise! Everything was clean decorated beautifully, very quiet, the owner was accommodating and friendly, the breakfast was delicious. It was like staying in a room on a tour, and going back in time in a home that belonged to a well to do family from the 1800’s.
- 5/5
Absolutely delightful! Warmly welcomed and everything was impeccable and super comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer!
- 5/5
Clean comfortable. Owner/Chef made delicious breakfast. Quiet. Helpful staff.

The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and breakfasr was delicious. Our host was very pleasant and chatted with us during breakfast.

We liked the coziness, the clean attractive character of the rooms. Comfortable and pretty rooms.
- 4/5
Wonderful proprietor! Awesome breakfast. Quiet, clean room. No elevator, facilities are older.
- 5/5
Although, it was very difficult to contact the property before hand. So start calling as early as you can if you need to make any arrangements.
- 4/5
This is a great little find in the suburbs of Buffalo. Charming! A nice change from the big name and chain hotels.
- 3/5
The exterior 1800's charm lost it luster upon entering because of a strong 1800's house odor that was off putting. Fortunately, the odor was not present in our room. The many stairs would make it difficult for those with mobility issues. Our room was clean, comfortable and convenient. Shower was great and hot. King bed was wonderfully comfortable. Lack of available guest information about wifi password, breakfast menu and times got us off on the wrong foot with the host who grudgingly accommodated us and our lack of understanding of what to expect. The breakfast portions were on the light side, and the same over our stay, but tasty. The guests and host would be happier if there was printed information in each room about breakfast times and menu options if any, local restaurants and check out time.
- 5/5
We took our (adult) daughter to our favourite B&B for our first time back since Covid. The old house is still as lovely as ever and the antiques are interesting to look at. The room was spacious, the bedding remarkable and breakfast was amazing. The pull out sofa was not as comfortable as our king size bed but she survived. We will not wait so long to go back....
- 5/5
The restaurant looked very elegant. And the girl who served us breakfast was very pleasant. And the food was good. The rooms are very clean.
- 5/5
We ready enjoyed our stay. Tidy, classy and the breakfast was fantastic.
- 5/5
It was a great place! I was able to check in early which was wonderful n I was grateful for it after a long drive. I liked the set up of the room, I loved the lil porch to our room. Very very clean! Good breakfast! Amazing book collection! I will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area
- 5/5
It felt like HOME away from HOME. I have stayed here several times and will continue each time I’m in the area.
- 5/5
My wife and I love to stay in quaint B&Bs, and this one is a perfect example. It was our second stay there, but with a new owner, and we were just as happy as the first visit. Our room was spacious, comfortable (good AC), and clean, and it’s always nice to find the bed made when we return from a day of activities. Good hot breakfast is included — the quiches were delicious, but we’d suggest something different the second morning. Glad to find the mini-fridge in the closet. And thanks for carrying our luggage to the second floor.
- 5/5
Extra little touches make this property a 5 stars option. Once we arrive to our room, a bucket of ice was ready for us. The room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was nice and freshly made. We will be back!

Simple: fantastic!

Interesting inn in a quiet setting. Quaint room with porch overlooking gardens.
- 5/5
Staying at Asa Ransom House felt like home away from home. It was clean, comfortable and safe. The staff was excellent. I will be visiting again.
- 5/5
Innkeeper was so friendly and polite, made sure we were well taken care of. The rooms and overall bnb are beautifully decorated and the aesthetic was perfect. We saw wildlife and the breakfast was incredible. 10/10 would come back.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed and quiet room, followed in the morning by a lovely homemade breakfast. Charming owner/host Bradley provided great historical information about this lovely Inn that has been serving travelers since the revolutionary period.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful, attention to details, care for the guests, the atmosphere, fresh roses on the breakfast table and breakfast. Definitely will go back if i am in the area.
- 3/5
Quaint B&B but I was literally only there for a few hours. Attended a wedding about 10 minutes away in the middle of nowhere and just spent the night. Obviously it's an older historic property but upkeep and maintenance could be approved. Spring cleanup had still not been done so curb appeal could be greatly improved. Some minor improvements in the rooms could help overall conditions as well.
- 5/5
The historical Inn is charming. The breakfast was delicious!
- 5/5
Beautiful and interesting house. Not a bit like a chain hotel. The owner was very attentive and hard working and whatever you needed, he was there for you. Lovely breakfast, very comfortable bed. I couldnt recommend Asa Ransom House more highly. We came for the eclipse, but chose to stay 2 extra days.
- 4/5
I loved the property and the breakfast. The lady that checked me in didn’t explain stuff well and repeated same question when I was asking a question. The rest of the staff was great a so was the place.
- 5/5
The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and the service is phenomenal! I highly recommend this beautiful, historic inn and always look forward to my future stays!
- 5/5
The House was absolutely breathtaking. The decorations for the holiday season were already in place and everything looked great. The staff was terrific. The service amazing and the food (from a food snob) was a nice finish to a perfect stay. We got an upgrade to a beautiful room where the fireplace was already lit and the ice bucket filled. I'm looking forward to coming back for afternoon tea! I would recommend this establishment to anyone that wants a special place to stay. thank you to the staff at the Asa Randsom house. You made our stay perfect.
- 5/5
The inn is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and the special dinner event we scheduled was just lovely. I look forward to returning the next time I am back in the area.

Realmente nos encanto todo ,muy agradecidos con nuestra estadía ,
- 5/5
Bradley and his staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Asa Ransom House is where we pla to stay in the future!
- 5/5
Almost everything was better than expected...our room, the the parlor, and especially the proprietor who is also a chef that prepared a perfect breakfast every morning. What a welcome change compared to staying at a brand hotel near the interstate.
- 5/5
It was an amazing stay. The inn keepers and staff were super friendly. The breakfast each morning was delicious. I would definitely recommend and will definitely make sure to come back.
- 5/5
Asa Ransom is a jewell of a bed and breakfast.
- 5/5
If you want just to relax and have some down time the Asa is the place for that...It was a very relaxing atmosphere...The food was exceptional...
- 5/5
My girlfriend and Ioved the old-fashioned quality of the place. It really helped us feel welcome and relaxed. We hope to come back some time.
- 5/5
Great location for eastern suburbs of Buffalo, right next to a park. Tasty breakfast, historic charm, and quiet.
- 5/5
This house is beautifully decorated in the classic federal style with furnishings and artwork that add special touches to the property. As an interior decorator I appreciate all the little details and the surrounding gardens are breathtaking! We were so happy with the service, especially our delicious breakfast which we requested early for our morning departure. We will definitely visit again!
- 4/5
This was a very unique little experience in Clarence, NY. The Inn is very vintage & stayed true to its original form. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Everythibg was awesome from the food, to the room, to the service. We also got engaged there and it was perfect!
- 4/5
Very historical and original. Beautiful grounds. Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Only complaint was minor repairs needed in room.
- 5/5
I am so happy that found this place , it was a big surprise how lovely it’s in real life . And you can feel the history , interior and exterior are absolutely stunning!!! Breakfast was served in the same perfect way!
- 2/5
Beautiful room but poor communication with staff. 5.5 out of 10.
- 4/5
If you are handicapped this property is not for you. From parking to building and room access you will find difficulties. The staff I met were very nice. The room was a bit worn. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. I was unable to reach staff or the front desk from my room phone and no one made any attempt to fix that. Breakfast was quite good. It was a bit pricey all things considered but it was close to our venues. In general it served our purpose. To be fair, it was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast so I may be being a bit tough on it. That said, I shouldn’t have to feel the need to clean the tub before using it regardless of the type of facility.
- 5/5
Our stay at Asa Ransom House was absolutely delightful. The proprietor, Bradly McCallum, was charming, solicitous, and fulfilled any requests we had for service promptly and completely. Breakfast was included and the food was excellent and presented beautifully. We felt very much at home and plan to stay there every time that we are in the Clarence, NY area. There is a small, historical park within a quarter of a mile and Niagara Falls is just an hour away. I walked every morning and saw deer along the way. Tulips, lilacs and lily of the valley were in bloom. The B&B is pet friendly and next time I plan to take my dog. I just can't say enough about how pleasant our stay was. The bed was extremely comfortable. We did need to buy pillows as the pillows provided were full of feathers. They may have had hypoallergenic pillows, but we never asked. There are teas held at the B&B Thursdays and Saturday. We attended one with my 90 year old mother who lives in the area. The three of us enjoyed the tea very much. Reservations are required as the teas are very popular.
- 5/5
Great room and friendly staff..Thank you!
- 5/5
Met expectations and then some.
- 4/5
Set on lovely grounds on the main street of a town outside Buffalo, this charming house is a very comfortable place to stay. There are a few signs of wear and tear, and the bathroom could use an update, but the bed was wonderfully comfy. Breakfast was generous and delicious, which was a relief after the extraordinarily poor service at dinner the night before. The food, once it finally came, could have been wonderful, if it had been delivered while it was still hot. Dinner at the property sounded appealing, but instead, it was a vastly overpriced mistake.
- 5/5
ful and kind - definitely our destination of choice in the future! Our room was luxurious and comfortable: beautifully appointed and wonderful linnen on the bed. Thanks again. We can honestly recommend Asa House to anyone visiting the area, especially if you appreciate attention to detail and vintage authenticity! There is the most exquisite collection of fine porcelain tea cups. I’m definitely coming back for a High Tea!
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Very clean, comfortable and friendly
- 5/5
Very friendly owners, lovely gardens. Charming stay.
- 5/5
Was a beautiful place to stay. Room was gorgeous and super clean! Great breakfast. Would stay there again!!
- 5/5
We had the most wonderful and romantic overnight date night here! The room was beautiful, bed comfy, sitting room so enjoyable and food delicious. So good we’ve booked my parents in for an anniversary gift. This is a slice of B&B paradise and feels it’s in its own little world.
- 5/5
Probably the most memorable hotel we've ever stayed at. We were immediately struck by the beauty of the property, the cleanliness and decorations in the room, and the friendliness of the staff. The free breakfast in the morning was better than any other breakfast in our week-long trip. We highly recommend this to anyone in the Clarence / Niagara area looking for a cute / romantic place to stay!
- 5/5
I loved it! Asa Ransom House was charming; the grounds and views were delightful; the employees were welcoming, warm and friendly and went above and beyond; the breakfast was delicious. I would absolutely stay there again.
- 5/5
The best was coming in on a chilly evening and the fire was going in the living room and to sit and relax. One of us went to work on the jigsaw puzzle in process! Ok, breakfast was awesome as well. Choices to order from the night before. And when asked, we were welcomed to pay for a friend to join us. And for those in need of a charging spot- they have one! (I’m guessing you should indicate his when booking.) We look forward to returning to Clarence to visit friends and will be guests again at the Asa Ransom House.
- 5/5
Loved the house and our room. Beautiful area. Breakfast was delish. The restaurant wasn’t open so we went to the Italian/Polish restaurant down the road and had a fantastic meal.
