Quiet and immersed in greenery. You can hear people next door as the walls are think but if you are lucky you will have a more secluded room.

I paid for an expensive room that was supposed to be”have a view of the mountains”. It had a view of a hedge and a parking lot. It was very dusty to the point where my allergies went crazy. The heater barely worked. It was a gigantic room but it didn’t feel like a $400 room. Also it was weird that people could see into the windows while walking to their cars.

Our shower was not working well, there was a big leak so the water was not traveling up to the shower head and there was a lot of mildew in the shower. The carpets were also old and stained. Needs an upgrade since it’s an older place. Though the grounds are pretty

This property is very well maintained rooms are spacious and clean as was bedding crisp and clean. The grounds are very nice and well maintained while I did not use the pool. It looked very inviting. I was disappointed that the bar area of the restaurant was not open until 5 PM and I was promptly dismissed when I got there at 4:45. It should be open at hours that are not aligned with the restaurant in my opinion. Other than that, the staff was great. Enjoyed my stay thank you very much.

The rooms and hall ways are dated but the restaurant and pool and atrium/ patio are nice.

The room felt nice and clean, relatively modernized, well-styled. The heat/AC is a little noisy but at least it's all controlled through a thermostat on the wall, which was capable of switching between heat and cool on its own as needed, to maintain temperature (this is really helpful--thermostats that have to be set either to heat or cold only don't help when you're staying somewhere (or during a time) where things fluctuates between the two.)

It is a little dated in the rooms, but still very clean.

The room was filthy. I’ve never been so disgusted with the condition of a hotel room. There were what appeared to be drips all over the wooden headboards. If it hadn’t have been so late at night when I checked in, I would have sought alternative lodging.

Convenient location (boring main road but near the small downtown area). Friendly staff and pretty grounds - it's several small buildings around a courtyard with pool and outdoor seating. The bathrooms and many furnishings are quite worn - it feels quite overdue for a refresh.

Wry clean and quiet and safe. Love that the rooms are behind common area further from the main entrance and street. The complimentary breakfast with the room was much better food, selection and service than expected. For the prize, no real dislikes.

Nice grounds, room has a balcony, close to the Claremont Colleges, Claremont Village and California Botanical Gardens. Toilet seat needs to be repaired. It was loose and would clank whenever one stood up. Woke me up overnight. Elevator is tiny.

The double bed room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and a comfortable arm chair for reading. It also had a semi-private balcony area for enjoying the warm weather in Claremont. We didn’t get to make use of the pool, fitness center, or courtyard area, but they all looked like they would be great for those who have time to hang out at the hotel. The staff was very helpful as well—we called ahead because we were arriving late and they made sure to hold our room for us, as well as allowing us to heat up some soup in the microwave in the market off the lobby. Also love the warm cookies they give you at check-in! The bathroom was very snug for our family of three, although it wouldn’t be a problem if only one person was using it at a time. The lighting in the room was very dark with just lamps and one ceiling light near the door. The climate control went from cooling to heating if you adjust the temperature setting by one degree; we ended up turning it off, but then it became too hot in the middle of the night.

I also requested temporary access to another room for 10–15 minutes, but that was refused. While the room itself was otherwise good, the restroom was not well maintained—there was no soap provided for the shower. On a positive note, the breakfast was good, and the staff in the breakfast area were courteous and helpful. However, my experience with the front desk was disappointing due to the lack of assistance and rude behavior.

We were able to change our reservation and did not incur a fee or pay for a night we did not stay there. there is fast electric car charging very close to hotel, and a Trader Joe's. the vending machine charged me for 2 waters and gave me only 1. Expensive water at $7.50 /20 oz.

It was nice to have adjoining rooms. Had to book separately and note in the special requests when booking. We didn't get the breakfast with the room since it wasn't offered with the nonrefundable room discount and would have been $60 more for both rooms ($16 for refundable room + $14 for breakfast x2) so we got breakfast much cheaper elsewhere. It was nice parking close to the room. The area is wonderful and feels safe. We had first floor rooms that had a patio facing the pool, not private at all though. My key didn't work on the pool doors but the front desk was helpful and let me in. It was nice to have hot tub access at 6am. It was a nice stay and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Staff were great. Building is a converted apartment complex, and many entrances are not ADA-compliant. Sofa in my room was significantly filthy. Took photos and gave them to both the front desk AND the hotel manager, but they would not give me any discount or offer anything else because I'd booked through Hotels.com, so I'm bringing my problem to you.

We arrived around 4:30 pm with our preschooler and were told by the three staff at the front desk that their system was down, meaning they couldn’t check us in or allow us into a room. They didn’t know when the system would be fixed or how long it would take. They did take our phone number to call us with an update but then they never called. It was unfortunate that the management of the hotel had no back up plan for manually checking in their pre-paid customers with small children as a back up to their electronic system. Thankfully when we returned to the hotel three hours later they were able to check us in. It was a simple ground floor room, but that’s what I booked, and it was clean and comfortable.

This was my second celebration here. The banquet rooms are perfect for any side events! The hotel has a charming layout with nice room accommodations. The rooms can use an update but otherwise lovely hotel.

Awful room location very far from lobby with terrible WiFi reception that required two days and two hours on that day to fix, food was not good and was overpriced for what it was, beds were uncomfortable. Staff called my room with "multiple noise complaints" over a regular volume business call. Not a great experience overall and would not stay there again.

We liked the location, staff, and the cookies. The layout was good for an active toddler. We liked the courtyard eating area. The shuttle to town was great, used it twice. The rooms are very tired, they need to be remodeled. They are also very small. The dresser in our room had drawers that wouldn’t stay closed, really annoying in the tight space. The baseboards looked as if some rats had chewed on them. Curtains were yucky. We used to stay here about 10 yrs ago, it was fine then, but now it’s not.

The hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is hotel has multiple building so we had to walk some to get to our room. There is parking all around hotel so that helped after initially checking in. The chocolate chip cookies were great and warm!

Excellent stay with excellent service! The staff were very helpful, the restaurant food was fantastic (my favorites were the buffets and the zinfandel), and our room was spacious (deluxe king). I do recommend requesting the courtyard view, if you want to use your patio like we did.

Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Only one recommendation - have someone service the elevator in building 4. It didn't always level properly when stopping on the first floor and the controls didn't always work (couldn't get the car to go to third floor from ground, but would go from two to three). Nice place, good staff, good cookies.

I never write reviews but I just loved this hotel. On Route 66, lovely grounds, retro vibe but also updated. Very clean. Excellent breakfast buffet. We were only there one night - I would have loved to stay longer. My room had a balcony!

We enjoyed our stay here. This hotel is very beautiful with lots of green landscape. The pool area is gorgeous. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect - close to downtown, Buca de Beppo and Trader Joes. If you have a chance to check out the adjacent Paino Bar, I would highly recommend it as it was such a fun spot!

The property is located one mile away from the Claremont Village, a lively community filled with shopping boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment. Good for families. The rooms are clean and comfortable but due for a remodel. Didn’t like the bathroom so close to the bed. Overall, would recommend to stay.

I loved being on the third floor, having a pool view, and looking out from the balcony and through the trees. It was like living in a tree house. The grounds are lush. Even though the property is older, it is well cared for and clean. This isn’t a high-end location but it is charming and the staff is kind. I went for a solo retreat and would go back again if I could be in the same room facing the pool.

The check in process was not easy as the room key wasn’t sent to my phone as requested. When I spoke to the front desk person, she was less than helpful saying she wasn’t sure why it wasn’t sent and she guesses she could try to send it again. I ended up having to stop in the front desk and get regular keys, which is no big deal but it was one more thing I didn’t want to have to deal with when check in at Hiltons is normally much smoother. The room itself was quite beat up. There were gouges in the closet door and the bathroom vanity. One of the bathroom tiles was cracked clear through and the tub was missing the finish around the tub drain. You could see the interior of the tub where the finish was missing. That being said, the bed was comfortable, the room felt safe and the area was great.

Parking is always a problem here; hallways could use sprucing up. Limited hotels in this area so prices are higher than I’d like to pay. All we need is a bed and we don’t use the pool or restaurant. Close to town center is great.

The bear was a little uncomfortable. We’re expecting the queen size bed, but we got a twin overall everything else was good. The staff was really pleasant and polite and ❤️MY Son. Enjoy the fact that he had a warm chocolate chip cookie.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times…probably 2-3 visits per year. The last 3 out of 4 trips were terrible. The hotel has turned into a frat-house party just about every night. Often times the pool would have 20-30 teens/college students acting what you’d expect. Parties/noisy till 2am or later. I won’t be returning there again.

It is a old hotel but well maintained. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is fantastic! So are the chocolate chips cookies upon arrival and now they have gluten free ones too for my husband.

The property is somewhat dated, but the sitting area is wonderful with the heat lamps. The staff is super friendly & accommodating.

Outdated and musty smell-needs a renovation. Restaurant was mediocre.

A bit pricey when all we need is a bed and shower but the room is comfortable and the hotel is located where we need to be. There is never parking close to building 4 and we have to drag all our things across the parking lot. Usually the hotel is pretty quiet.

Doubletree is a first class hotel priced accordingly. Everything AOK.

Front desk staff were wonderful, restaurant staff and the housekeeping staff i interacted with were awesome too. I was recognized from previous stays and treated with kindness and compassion due to current reasons for visit to area.

Not clean. Sinks didn’t drain. Ac didn’t work properly which made the room feel musty. I won’t stay here again

Checked in for 2 nights. Had to change rooms 3 times. Due to smell in 1st room.. Then they had the next room booked on the second night. So i checked out again and received another room the next day. Other than that it was a beautiful property.

This double tree was very disappointing. Our room smelled like urine. As a result we moved to a different room, it didnt smell like urine but the entire facility needs to be remodeled. Only positive was location because we had plans in the local area.

Perfect location. When I arrived at the hotel … I was warmly welcomed by A Staff member! The food and Room service were fantastic and very tasty. This was one of the most perfect experiences. I can’t thank The staff and manager enough for helping get clothing donations. After losing everything I owned in the Eaton fire it felt so good to have clothes and shoes to wear while I figure out where I go next. I’m grateful and thankful for these kind humans.

We evacuated to this hotel from the Wildfires in the Pasadena area. We were greeted so warmly and made to feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast is is amazing with an omelette station every day! Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Check-in was easy. The property is very well maintained. There is a Trader Joe's almost next door. Some dining options close. The lobby and bar were nice. Nice walking around the neighborhood.

Everything was so nice

Quiet suburban location, close to 210 freeway and Claremont colleges.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and staff was very attentive and helpful in this department.

We enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi.

Hot water never came on even waiting 15 minutes with both the bathtub and sink runners all out. Wake up and want to take a shower? Nothing but room temperature water in the AM. Return in the late afternoon, no hot water. Do Not Stay in Building 4. It is far, far from the boiler.

Just a beautiful property

We have stayed here several times. This time we were on the third floor. Room was quiet. As for comfort, pillows are too hard for my liking. Maid service was impressive… the room was tidy and bed sheets changed after only one night. Parking is not great if you are in building 4. By time we arrive in the late evening, all spaces are full and we cannot park close to the building. The hall, elevator and entrance area could use some cleaning. A vacuum for indoors and maybe even power washing for the outdoor area would help. Areas of the building are starting to look “tired”. As usual, we got cookies on arrival and checking in was fast and easy which I love.

nice hotel. but the king room was really small. & i didnt have a ticket, so no breakfast??? really? wow. i guess i wont be back or recommend to anyone else. the girl at the front desk was really rude about this as well.

Great location and great hotel. Feel the rooms need to be a bit updated and for the cost of the rooms is way overpriced.

The room was well layed out. The balcony was awesome. The only thing I would suggest is having lugguge racks available in each building.

Our room was next to the elevator so VERY noisy, even at midnight. Maybe the hotel needs to post reminders to be quiet. It would be nice to have a refill daily of water in the room. Parking near building 4 is minimal. This is a good city for restaurants.

It was dark when we got to the hotel, the carpet seemed dingy, the sink porcelain in the room was damaged with stains and the air conditioner would not cut off, even when I put it up to 74, it was very noisy. It was just the one night, so managed the stay.

Older facility with great breakfast - buffet or a-la-cart! Room was clean but very out dated and musty smelling! Elevators small and noisy. In general staff friendly and helpful.
