    The room was unclean and looked as though it had not been properly cleaned in years. The surrounding area also felt unsafe. The bedsheets were worn out, and I couldn't bring myself to sleep because they felt dirty and smelled old. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend staying here.

    I appreciated the location to where I needed to be the next morning, the mural on the building and palm trees is peak California vibes. Personnel were also very friendly and kind to me, as I arrived later than I had expected. The room I was given was actually pretty big. There was a little table too. It’s an economic location, so there were some details like the shower not being full pressure, the window screen looked like it had been pushed out so I couldn’t close window completely at night. However, for the price I understand it’s not going to be top, it served me well as I just needed a place to rest for the night. Great for solo travelers and those that just need to rest at night and will be out all day.

    Arturo and the front desk lady whose name unfortunately I did not get were very nice, thank you. Only kind of some of the other guests seemed a little dodgy but this is nothing hotel can control.

    If you need a place to crash on short notice then this place will suffice. The room was for the most part clean. They do have cockroaches, saw one in my room. No soap for the shower. Parking was fine and the staff was thorough. Only saw one homeless guy digging in the trash in front of my window. Location is good and near the freeway and restaurants. Overall, if I couldn’t find a place then this would suffice.

    The desk was noticed and agreed the desk attendant gave out an unready room. A refund of the night was offered by Hotel.com. A new room was issued for the following night. Reservation was changed to leaving a day earlier, and Hotel.com came agreed. I have been charged for 4 nights. Filed a dispute with American Express.

    What made the experience even worse was what happened after checkout. I accidentally left my medicine bag with my vials inside the refrigerator and called immediately asking if they could overnight it to my next location. The young woman who answered stated they “don’t do that” and that the hotel is “not liable” for anything left behind. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, I was told no manager would be available for days. I understand hotels have policies, but basic customer service and empathy go a long way. Very disappointing experience overall.

    Upon arrival immediately thought “more like MOTEL, not Hotel”. Free parking should have read “park at your own risk “ sketchy people. Elevator was iffy everytime. Then I noticed expired inspection 2025 on elevator, explained why we had issues with buttons not working and doors were dangerous. We had to purchase our own bathroom cleaner before using the bathroom, specifically the shower. Bed was decent. We were in town to watch my grandson graduate to Marine. Timings for events were early 600 hour, so no time to search another hotel. BUT the staff was welcoming and very accommodating with helping us switch rooms mid visit so that our Marine had a bed the night before we departed back to Tx. So thank you to the young lady at the front office.

    After having my truck stolen from their parking lot, all the staff cared to do was try to push me out of the room after I explained to them I would be extending my stay because I had no way to leave. I kept getting threats that they were going to find me after I told them as soon as I’m done with the police, I will be jumping online to extend insanely rude that staff member needs to be fired.

    Pleasant helpful front desk. Housekeeping didn't make up my bed nor take out my trash one day. Shower and sink has stains. This is really a motel rather than a hotel. Less expensive but far away from everything.

    I had my truck stolen out of their parking lot and after explaining this to them, all they cared about was telling me to check out by 11 or they were going to fine me while I was explaining to them I’m on the phone with the police and I plan to extend my stay. They lost my Amazon package. There was no hot water. The air conditioner barely worked. It just blew air. I used to stay there every visit out to San Diego, but I won’t anymore.

    I left my dog locked inside of the room while I went out, then I was contacted that someone found my dog wondering outside. Lucky he had my number on his leash and airtag on him, or it could have ended very badly! When I came back to my room key wasn’t working and it was conected to another room, they fixed the key and we got in. I tried to contact the hotel to understand what happened, who entered my room and left my dog outside, because he is 15lbs and definitely can’t open doors by himself, and it is something very serious… But now answer! Next step is to see if they will answer when a Lawyer contact them about it.

    Parking was easy and secure, staff(ARIANA) was amazing, the other front desk pregnant lady was absolutely rude. I have auto immune diseases so I was freezing in my room hit my son & ex husband don't do u need more blankets, she gone ask my ex husband doesn't the heater in the room work, she refused to give us towels & said that house cleaning can do it. She was horrible. But everything else was phenomenal and Ariana was phenomenal.

    Throughout the night, I was woken up multiple times by noises in the hallway. At around 7 a.m., the situation escalated when a stranger began aggressively banging on my door, shouting, and even attempting to force their way in by body-slamming the door, until I yelled out and he left. This was extremely alarming and felt like a serious safety issue. I tried calling the front desk using the in-room phone, but it was not working. I had to use my personal phone to get in touch. When I finally reached someone, I was told they would “look into it,” but I never received any follow-up or update about what had happened. At checkout, I received my deposit after telling staff I was checking out early. I was told that staff had spoken to the man, but no clear explanation was provided as to how this situation was allowed to happen or what steps were being taken to prevent it in the future. The incident itself was not addressed until I brought it up, and there was no meaningful reassurance regarding guest safety. I was also told to contact a third party, Expedia, regarding a refund. As of now, I am waiting for that refund to be processed now that Expedia has reached out to Hotel Milagro. While the room itself was in OK terms, the lack of security, the non-functioning phone, and the poor communication from staff made this a very negative experience. If you’re

    Let me say this was my 1st.Stay I usually stay at Hotel Palmeras. Down the road but decided to give Hotel Milagro a try. Wasn’t disappointed there’s nothing bad I can say. About my stay after 2 molar extraction. That they couldn’t honor an early check in after a medical procedure without upping the fees even if it was a hour or 2 hours early. Then charging $200 cash deposit if you don’t use a credit card. I’ve never had to pay extra $100 or pay extra fees for an early 1 or 2 hour check in at Hotel Palmeras that’s what I will take into consideration the next time I book for and medical procedures done when I need to the rest after procedure or day before procedure. Remind you we checked out around 6:15AM

    well the staff was really sweet, i loved how calm our stay was since the area is lively for sure, our floor was reallyy sticky but they have a lot of accommodations like a laundry area, microwave and mini fridge, it's not luxury but it's not the worst hotel i've been to.     The rooms were very clean, staff were somewhat friendly but seemed like they weren’t on the same training page. We did not have hot water in our room our first night and the staff couldn’t fix it, but than the next night staff stated they had to turn it on. The whole experience was okay, but we won’t be returning.

    I have stayed on the following days and my deposit money has not been refunded to my account and not only that been accused of breaking a windows in all my life have had no problems staying at hotels until here I think you need to check up on this issue for some reason I think someone in your hotel is trying to stay with our money by saying things that don't happen please look into it and please verify that everyone including me got there money back looking forward to your reply and this are the dates to look up to see if I got my refunds Please review if there is any money being refunded to my account for the following dates 2/19/26 to 2/23/26, 2/27/26 to 3/21/26, 3/13/26 to 3/16/26, and 3/21/26 to 3/24/26 Thank you

    Fraudulent, predatory acts with Hotel deposits and unclean towels in room. Made fake claims of smoke in the room to keep the full deposit. Other instances on yelp, google and other palces showing similar occurrences ranging from damages to the room to a smoking charges like mine. One of the towels in the bathroom had lipstick stains where no one in our group wore any lipstick at all. A lil before checkout you get a text saying if you're even a minute late after 11am they'll charge you 25 dollars out of your 100 dollar deposit. One of my guests forgot their jacket and we went back up to grab it, thats it. That was all for them to then try to claim my full deposit by saying there was smell of smoke. The whole hotel smells of smoke, people are casually smoking everywhere on the property. Stay clear of this hotel. A cheap price tag is just their con to keep your deposit.

    When we first checked in and went into our room we were given a dirty room someone had just checked out of. We had to go back and get another room. Second room was spacious and clean. Overall it was calm and quiet so we appreciated that. Housekeeping tried to barge in at 8:30 am and woke us up even though check out was 11am.

    Room was clean. No roaches. Staff was nice. Parking was free. Never had issue finding a parking spot. I give it a 3 star because we had water issues. I felt I was taking a shower under a faucet. Slow, minimal water pressure. Other issue was that hot water was hit or miss. At night no hot water, which I hated cause I look forward to hot showers after being out all day. Some mornings no hot water as well. Definitely they need to work on this.

    For me the check-in process the parking the room itself was amazing the night that I showed up the receptionist was awesome and very helpful it was a smooth check-in process I got some good sleep I got to do laundry. I'd like the evening so much that I wanted to add one more night and and they both demanded that I paid $240 for one more night. I recorded an interaction with one of the staff in the morning and with I guess either the manager or owner. The morning receptionist and the manager was rude and aggressive. I recorded the whole thing. After that experience I wanted a receipt for the fact that I was charged the deposit but the system for some reason voided it so either the reception is from that evening voided the deposit or something I don't know but they made it seem like it was my fault. And all I did was show my ID the same card that I paid with and let the lady at check in know that I also had a pet. I was debating on whether to do these reviews because I really honestly have nothing to say that's nice in regards to ever going back again I'll never go back to that hotel. I wanted a receipt for the decline of voided to transaction the manager was able to do that and I just wanted to leave. I never felt so disrespected and put down before. Even as I was leaving the hotel ladies were kind of like rushing me out and I ended up forgetting some things in my room. I'll never return to this property again I don't think anyone else should either.

    This is a basic budget motel. Clean sheets, working AC, semi-clean floors. Chairs I wouldn't sit on without a towel on top of them. Very low shower pressure, but got the job done. Staff provided me extra coffee for the room.

    The door to the bath and toilet room is sticky. There was very limited hot water at the sink tap and the bath faucet was broken and would not produce warm water at all. The maid was very nice but couldn't speak any English for requests or questions. The neighborhood has gang graffiti on the sidewalks and buildings.

But in that time … no hot water (which they did give a discount) and I saw a roach or two. That big for me. And nasty af. So it’s a no go coming back. Thanks to the cold shower and roaches.     The staff are super friendly and accommodating but definitely need better cleaning done in the rooms and specially the bathroom. My bathroom wasn’t even cleaned.

    Was last minute cause I had to cancel a property that didn’t feel safe and they booked me at night! I am a solo female and to walk in an see a woman smiling at 10:30pm working alone made me feel safe. Bed wasn’t comfy and the bathtub was ghetto and the shower was cold but I was safe and it was cheap!

    Overall the gentleman that checked me in was super kind and even let me check my bag into my room before 3pm which was super helpful. Downside the wall next the bed was dirty and looked like something was splattered a crossed it, the floor was dirty but everything else was clean. I was upset that someone at the front desk gave my room away, only reason I know that is because someone used a key card and opened the door and we both we're in shock because I was in my boxer shorts and she opened the door part way before it stopped because of the deadbolt thing at the top of the door and she asked if I was staying there and I said yeah until Sunday, then my keycard stopped working and the water stopped working so a little upset about that

    The experience since the beginning was not very good. Although the front desk clerk was exceptional at helping with the check-in. The fact that the parking lot had people in the parking lot playing crude and seemingly adult and explicit sexual music at very high volume from their vehicle was not welcoming. Add to this the fact that the front check-in clerk walked over and seemed to know the people playing the music and just hanging out there T the parking lot, which seemed to be either family or friends gathering there for pleasure and just listen to music. I noticed kids with them, but that didn’t stop them from playing their music. They stayed there for about an hour and left. Them at around 1:30 in the morning, the fire alarms woke everyone up. I awoke when I heard it and called the front desk and they said there was no fire and they had either set off by mistake and cleared it. But it continued on an off for the next 10 to 15 minutes. Couldn’t go to sleep until around 2 am. Not good! I was expecting some sort of refund but got the finger instead.

    The bed was comfortable but could have used more pillows. The pillows are small and not of the best quality. When I requested additional pillows in the evening, the young lady checked for me, but said they had ran out. She was very polite and helpful. The room could have used more attention to detail when cleaning. The bathroom appeared clean, but when my husband took a closer look, he saw there was blood on the rim of the toilet seat. Overall though, it was a good hotel and a very affordable price for my family while visiting the area for SeaWorld.

    Room's floor was sticky, bugs all over room. The paint on the walls was coming off. Beds were at least clean and sheets clean. Some of the towels were stained and dirty looking. Fridge was dirty and had hair in it. Staff were friendly and willing to allow us to check in a little early.

    Great stay there was an elevator for the top two floors it was quiet and I slept very well there. I wasn't asked for a deposit and the staff were friendly. I will definitely stay there again. I felt safe with the safety latch I'm place and I had a good view of my car. Microwave and refrigerator are a definite plus

    Above par place. Nothing to write home about, however it’s a decent place, a bit pricey for the building type, but a place for a quick getaway to lay ur head. It was clean and no bible buds or rodents. Room are spacious tho.

    Clean room, comfortable bed, quiet, hot shower, nice bathtub, my key always worked (sometimes I go to hotels and the key doesn't work--irritating), when I had difficulty getting out of a tight parking space on the property, the night manager helped me (at 4:30am!), which I really appreciated. Only problem--when I first got there to check-in, no check-in person was present, so me and some other guy had to wait 10 minutes, which was irritating. He and I both called the person twice asking for help and she finally came out and helped. That was the only drawback to the place. Well, and the parking can be problematic (the second night I got a spot where I couldn't be jammed in--where there was no possibility for anyone else's illegal parking to make it difficult for me to get my car out).

    For the price, the room was amazing and very comfortable spacious and clean. The environment is maybe not the best for young kids or travelers but for someone passing through or needing just a place to stay. This is a very very good option and I’m most definitely would use it again.

    The most significant 'issue' is the floor in the room. It was soiled to the touch and noticeably sticky in places. This was was brought to management's attention, and notations to HK Staff were made and changes were put into place with immediate effect. To that point, the Staff is by far the best part of the stay at The Milagro. I find Seraj very informative and honest, as were all the HK Staff I interacted when coming and going to the room. I asked for extra towels, no problem. I asked for a late check-out, and directions to the local market, no problem. I speak a little conversational Spanish, and I feel the staff appreciated the fact they could inform me of things in their native language. A smile and friendly greeting go a long way to make for an enjoyable stay. I travel and review a LOT of venues. The Hotel Milagro is not a palace, but it also doesn't claim to be; It also doesn't charge the rates as such, either. That's awesome and value worthy. 8.5/10 Recommend. Thank you!

    room is slightly bigger than other budget motels. bed is comfortable enough with 4 pillows. a little loud at night but place seems safe. parking gets packed but you can usually find a spot. cleaning lady knocks to give you towels and soap if you need it.

    Nice updated rooms in older motel building. Lcoation is in older part of city but close drive to downtown San Diego and tourist areas. Room was spacious and clean. Not highend but comfortable. Queen bed was nice but sheets were no quality and thin. Free onsite parking was nice. $100 deposit. Overall good value for price.

    Property shower and bed/pillows were subpar at best. My back definitely hurts after 2 nights on it. Also, even though my time of arrival was confirmed via a phone call 2 days prior to my reservation, they still attempted to charge my card before my arrival (which is a placeholder card), and then texted me asking for a new payment method within 30 minutes or else they were cancelling my reservation. I was driving. I do not text. Thank goodness i stopped and read the message! Would not recommend. Only plus was dog friendly.

    I was in San Diego for business as was the case last year. It was my first time at the Milagro. Overall, the price was right buy it's a bit on the noisy side. I blame the neighbors more than the traffic on that one. I'd return to stay there moving forward.

    Plain and simple hotel. No frills, clean rooms, just what you need for work trips. Didnt soend time in the room aside from sleep so amenities mean nothing to me. Free parking. Close to downtown area. Lots of restaurant options nearby.
