The best hotel we stayed so far!

The room was one of the cleanest and nicest rooms I've ever been in. Very good staff. Breakfast was consistenly good.

Hot breakfast was great and a good variety. The hotel grounds and lobby area are nice. There is a jacuzzi and swimming pool. The room was clean and well kept. Overall, I’d stay again. Parking is $27 per night

Overall the hotel was nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Only negative was that even the “soft” pillows were too firm for me, so bring your own if you want a very soft pillow.

Great pricing, appreciate the free parking and breakfast. Area is a little questionable although we didn’t have any issues for a female traveling solo might be a little uncomfortable. Room was spacious and appreciate the free water, dish soap and details. The room is a little outdated, bathroom could use some minor cosmetic changes but overall great stay and friendly staff. Clean enough!

Family of 6 stayed here and could not have asked for a better experience! Upon check in we were greeted by Ross who was so kind and had a welcoming smile! He answered all my questions and even shared his experience about being from Texas. I had to go to the desk for things I forgot, laundry detergent, and computer access and Edgar greeted me with a smile each and every time. I know he probably got tired of my face but he never let it show. The kitchen staff always had breakfast stocked and the variety of food was awesome! There is not a negative I can say about this experience. We even had to use the pool bathroom and it was SPARKLING CLEAN!!!! I let my kiddos sit on the toilet!!! It didn’t stink! It was stocked with toilet paper, soap, and literally CLEAN!!! Will definitely stay at this place again!

Affordable, clean, 20-25 minutes from the tourist beaches (mission and ocean). Right off the highway. Stay was amazing too. The continental breakfast was also very abundant and generous with the variety options.

This is second time staying at this hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Can’t complain! Breakfast is really, really good. Definitely this is a great hotel to stay at which is affordable compared to to other hotels.

The only complaint I would have is that the gym could use maybe a few free weights. Other than that, our day was excellent. The staff was great. The amenities looked great and the pillows in the bed are awesome.

The front desk staff were so lovely and welcoming, and even accommodated a change from a single to a two queen room on a busy weekend. Rooms were new, clean, and had unexpectedly comfortable beds.

Best and cleanest hotel experience I’ve ever had.

It is the kind of place you book when you can’t get space at the big resort hosting the Conference you are attending. In all fairness it was good value for the money but the neighborhood was icky after dark.

Great place to stay with my family. Was a little nervous about the location, but all in all it was a great stay. The room was perfect, breakfast was good, and the staff helpful.

Well maintained hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast have plenty of selections. Swimming pool and hot tub is a bonus. Overall, it’s a great place to stay close to the freeway. However, there are transients walking through the front property and one lady begged for money.

The room & entire facility was clean. The breakfast was good. The mini fridge was decent size. There’s only one elevator for 4 floors & workers so it could be slow. The surrounding areas had plenty of shops, etc but the room could hear all the road noise.

Rooms are always clean and fresh, the kitchen is excellent , coffee available 24/7, Manager Tiffany made sure I was taken care of and check-in was about 2 -3 minutes. Best Holiday Inn I have been to around.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was not pleasant. The clerk made an issue out of collecting additional personal information such as my address and phone number. He already had my government-issued ID to verify identity and also secured a deposit on my credit card, so I questioned why more information was necessary. He insisted it was “legally required,” which I disagreed with. I explained that I would of course provide such information to law enforcement if legally required, but I do not believe a hotel has any obligation to demand it beyond identity verification and payment authorization. Additionally, I am an IHG Platinum Elite member, and there was no acknowledgment of status or elite recognition during check-in, which was disappointing. Other than the uncomfortable check-in interaction, the stay itself was satisfactory.

Love the breakfast menu. The staff that cleaned our room each day placed our kid’s stuffed animals in the sweetest places each day. Our sink handle broke during our stay and they fixed it that very same day. It was all we could have wanted.

Location was fairly convenient to most attractions. The staff was awesome. Breakfast was good. The fact that we didn't have to pay for parking was one of the reasons we chose this hotel compared to others in the San Diego area.

the room was clean. it had a modern design and features, especially the bathroom. the ac was not so noisy to wake you up and it kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was good; the menu choices vary every other day. The menu offered a good variety to choose. Our room overlooked the pool; kids using the pool until 10pm (yelling, laughing, etc) caused us to lose sleep. Maybe a room facing the front/road might be better. The Manolo Farmers Market next door was super convenient.

There was the sound of a motor pump turning on every 5 minutes. Area is sketchy

It says that check-in is at 3 PM. I arrived five minutes before 3 PM. They told me my room wasn't ready to give them another 40 minutes. I stepped outside with the kids to get something to eat down the street. My husband stayed in the lobby waiting another family came and the guy at the front that was checking people in gave the other family the room first then when another coworker comes and say you gave the room away his been waiting my husband then the guy worker said that he didn't know we were a different family because there was a whole bunch of kids we look the same he was a tall white man felt really like he was being more racist than welcoming so he didn't know that my husband was waiting in the lobby because a different Hispanic family came with kids and gave them a room first when we got there first and been waiting overall we had to wait an hour to get our room at 4 PM instead of 3 PM for check in so just to check in was already bad that night my husband left my debit card on the counter where the microwave refrigerator is that we got up in the morning to have breakfast and need to San Diego Zoo me not grabbing my debit card because we were not using our cards we were using cash on the way home

Excellent property, I was first placed in a room with a bathroom sharing a wall with a smoking area. The smoke leached through the walls. I was moved as soon as I brought this issue to the staff. Pool and hot tub were excellent rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast exceeded expectations

Room was really clean, had shampoo, body wash, hair conditioner, the fridge is a pretty decent size and spacious, loved that they had a grill outside by the pool, breakfast was really good with great choices and variety overall I will definitely recommend and come back just wish staff in the kitchen were a little bit friendlier. Another plus is that they have restaurants and a small grocery store walking distance.

Spacious room. Bed was super comfortable. Shower was perfect and rooms and hotel were all clean. Free breakfast daily was more than sufficient with ample choices including to go bags. 24/7 fresh coffee available. I do wish they had fresh water dispenser available besides during breakfast. Location was perfect to many near by attractions and airport.

I NEVER give 5 stars. There’s always room for improvement, however, the staff at this hotel was amazing and so patient and accommodating. We traveled with my 18 month old granddaughter. The whole staff was just super NICE! And breakfast was fantastic

We really liked everything about this hotel excpet the noise at night. The staff was excellent, its a very good location, the free breakfast was great. The only thing was that 2 of the 3 nights we were there, there was a ton of noise coming from outside the hotel that kept us up. First was what sounded like a couple fighting in the middle of the night for at least 20 minutes. The second was super loud motorcycles constantly until about 2 am. We had to be up at 430 for a flight, so that was VERY frustrating. Literally the only thing we didnt love, but a very important thing.

I would say maybe the breakfast needs more cooked items, especially for those who are vegetarian or can't eat meat. Overal,l though, it was a great experience.

The Room was clean and had everything we needed: fridge, microwave, TV, and an iron with board. The room also had a safe, coffee machine, with a nice view. Breakfast was an added plus, offering biscuits, eggs, potatoes, and protein. Plus fruit, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and juices. We definitely used the laundry room during our 5 day stay which was a great amenity before heading back home. Hotel is located next to various restaurants, a grocery store, gas stations, and miscellaneous stores. The Trolley station is two blocks west, which is convenient if you want to travel to Tijuana or Mexico. Definitely worth coming back.

Horrible. I stayed on the first floor room 106 due to the rain it completely flooded me out they changed my room however they called me today at work and canceled my future reservation. How do you cancel a future reservation for a person who just got flooded out of their room terrible customer service terrible management

Vey noisy from the street

The best thing about the breakfast, the staff was hustling to refill whatever was depleted. They apologized for any delay and got us hot food. They're customer service was fantastic.

I had a very pleasant experience. No difficultly checking in and out. Staff are very nice and helped when I needed anything. The room was very clean as well. Location is very close to the main street for food, shopping and entertainment. I would highly recommend you to stay here.

Everything was great here. Safe to park to the room being super clean. The bed was so soft and cozy was able to sleep easily, usually I have paranoia about sleeping in a Hotel room and in the beds but this was absolutely amazing. I had no worries when sleeping. I also liked how quiet the hotel was during the night. 1 thing I would change is the breakfast, but for being complimentary it was decent.

Best coffee ever. I enjoyed the facilities and the breakfast menu was fresh everyday. Staff was nice and friendly. The hotel was quiet.

Our room was great and fit our family of 5 very comfortably. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was fantastic and we all enjoyed it.

The room is clean and well kept. But we were placed by the ice machine which was loud and disturbing and the ac that was in the room had made some unusual loud noises, so I was hard to sleep also with that. And the blinds that were given to first floor were not private enough, I can see outside and who knows if people can see inside and it didn't block the lights from the outside (pool lights), lamp post and sunlight. So I was shined with light all night and well of day.

It is conveniently located close to downtown San Diego so you don't have to spend a lot of money on the downtown hotels. Just hop on the major freeways and get to your destinations.

Excellent service

Hotel was clean and quiet. Excellent front desk staff were polite and professional. Came for Comic Con and although we came in late sometimes, there was always someone at the front desk and their little store with drinks/chips, small toiletries was still open. Parking was good and trolley station was 5-8 min walk. A few restaurants were nearby and a market. Morning breakfast was good and easy to grab and go fruit, coffee available as well. Would definitely come back for a San Diego getaway!

We like Holiday Inns because the rooms have really comfortable beds and pillows. They have a fridge, microwave and there’re breakfasts and coffee are great.

Breakfast was good. Good coffee. My unit was facing main street and I could hear a lot of street noise. Could be an issue for some.

Everything else was fine-- no bugs, water pressure was good, hot water came quickly and you can crack open the window slightly. The breakfast is typical HIE, but they did alternate some of the hot items each day so that was a plus. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they looked clean from a distance. The best thing is that the area is quiet at night. The hotel is far off nearby I-5, which is great. There is the occasional rumbling of a loud car, motorcycle or truck going by, but really not bad at all. If quiet and a good night's sleep is important to you or your family, I'd highly suggest this location! Request a room on the backside of the hotel-- you'll thank yourself for that :)

We loved it. Very quite place to stay. Also something was left behind in our room and we didn’t realize it until we got home. Housekeeping found it and turned it in. We did appreciate it. Friendly staff. Good breakfast too. Every time we go to San Diego this is where we stay always.

Breakfast was pretty good. Didn’t like the shower head and the mattress needed more cushion. Other than that we were able to rest up.

The hotel was nice and clean. Even though a Main Street is in front of the hotel you could not hear the traffic. The staff was polite and courteous.

It's right next to a farmers market that has an awesome selection including their hot foods section. 10/10. so happy with this hotel and will be booking it again the next time we visit. thank you!

Me & my family enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Chula Vista. Checking In was fast & easy. The parking was great. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable. The place & room was clean. The free breakfast was amazing. I would absolutely stay there again.

Property looks newer than the ones I looked into in the same area. It's probaly about a half mile away from the freeway, so it's quiet. It also has good reviews so that's a plus. The free breakfast is lacking in my opinion. The egg omelette does not even taste like one. The only thing I like is the coffee lol. Having said that, I still recommend it.

Rooms very clean, quiet and comfortable. View of the pool. Nice stay. Only mild issue was the room (207) had a smell that reminded us of faint bug spray. Our daughter's room had no smell. Overall, nice stay.

Easy check in process and easy to find all the amenities such as Ice Machine, pool, gym and breakfast area all thanks to the staff professionalism and the little card with the reminders/instructions.

The only issue I had with room, it was right in front of Main Street where cars with loud and cause it had to go to sleep. Plus at breakfast had to wait for food so to being empty for more than 15 mins, til came out out and check. And not seeing employees cleaning tables.

The room was big & clean. It was quiet- We didn’t hear anyone in the rooms around emus. Breakfast was awesome- Wide variety & plenty of it. The hot tub & pool were warm & clean. We loved staying here, & would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel. We got upgraded for a suit. The room was spacious and very clean. Very modern. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast also very good and lots of options.

there were only 2 spaces for disability parking. We had the convenience of a parking spot for 2 days but at the last day someone else parked there and they did not even have a disabled decal or plate. Also on the first 2 days their locks have something wrong with them that we had to change our keycards several times. The kitchen staff was very accommodating though and attended to our needs. There was enough bacon and sausages for everyone at breakfast. Outdoor jacuzzi was nice.
