Loved the location and comfort but the best thing was the service from all the concierges. From the email welcoming us to the restaurant recommendations and bookings, we loved them - especially Sheryl! The food at Brass Tack restaurant could have been better although Leonard's cocktails were exceptional.

Top of the line customer service! I can’t express how deeply I am impressed with your hotel, the feel, the specialness of it all! My first time there, has left me with a lasting impression I will never forget! Classy and it smelled like Paris! Love everything about the hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer. Room service took too long

Lacking basic Kleenex, toilet paper, and towels for such a high end property. Also, transparency in car wash offering on cost would help. Great staff overall!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel, the fact that you offer a car wash service. I had to wait about 45 mins to a hour, for my room to be ready. Even though i had a scheduled check in time.

Unfortunately, our stay was heavily impacted by an extremely large security presence due to a foreign delegate staying at the hotel. There were police and security personnel throughout the property, security frequently entering elevators with guests, and vehicle access to the main entrance was restricted (our driver was not allowed into the roundabout). At one point, my fiancé—who uses a rollator and was accompanied by our service dog—was asked by security to step aside and wait near the entrance. While we understand that high-profile guests require security, the scale of the situation made the environment feel tense and uncomfortable for much of our stay. When we raised the issue at checkout, the staff acknowledged that the situation was unacceptable for guests. Because the reservation was booked through Expedia, they explained they couldn’t issue a refund directly but did provide a one-night voucher as a goodwill gesture. We appreciated the staff’s professionalism, but for a $3,500+ stay the overall experience unfortunately did not reflect the level of comfort and accessibility expected from a five-star hotel.

Nice bellmen, nice front staff, rooms were cozy and well kept. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Completely loved our stay. Probably the best hotel in all Chicago. Amenities are great and the staff are even better.

It was terrible customer service, a maintenance person had to “reset” the TV’s and fireplace twice, the pool and hot tub were closed and I complained about the stay to 2 managers. I was told that bc it was booked by a third party there is nothing they could do. I want a full refund, and will never stay there again!

My birthday and a spa treatment. The spa facilities are down no hot tub, no sauna, and no the pool was freezing cold and not heated. Tried to cancel my spa reservation due to this and they still charged me an addition $300 and added it to the room charge even though the service wasn’t provided. I will never book here again and you shouldn’t either $1500 for a 2 night stay and valet is $89/night

When we arrived at check in time, we were informed that our room was not ready but that we could upgrade at a discounted additional cost to a suite. At first, we didn't want to do that and decided to wait. The host provided complimentary round of drinks and meal for the wait. We decided to upgrade and I'm so glad that we did. The room was incredible and the service, from concierge, staff and valets, here is top notch. We ordered the Waldorf salad and Waldorf chocolate chip cookies because you have to if you stay here. Loved this place and will definitely return.

Lovely room and spacious bathroom plus all of the high end touches (robes, slippers to soft mats and towels and great bath products and loved the nespresso maker!) View was not great but gym and lobby made up for it; bar was too crowded and we couldn’t get a late checkout but at least it was noon and they held our bags for a few hours!

We had a devastating family emergency and the staff handled everything for us. They were so kind and compassionate. I don’t know how I could have handled getting to the airport and returning the rental car without them.

Location and the architecture of the building

We loved our stay at The Waldorf Astoria. The staff was very helpful at every turn. DeAndre was the first person we met at the front desk and he gave us great suggestions on places to go. We only stayed a night, but we’d definitely stay again. Valet was helpful and polite and we felt at home. The Brass Tack restaurant located in the hotel was also excellent. The Smash Burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. Robert, the waiter was also great. Almost perfect outside of the temperature in the room. We had the fireplace on and tried to max out the thermostat, but we really didn’t get much heat until the next day. We just bundled up under the covers, but that was a minor inconvenience. It was a great stay. Of course a few weird looks from other guests, but we felt the hospitality from the entire staff. We’ll be back for sure!

Service and accommodations were top notch. Surrounding area was safe and loaded with dining options. Excellent stay. First time at a Waldorf and it did not disappoint.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary. We brought our young daughters along and were greeted with teddy bears for them when we checked in. The valet, Jesus, made our time there so enjoyable and went out of his way to help us. We will definitely be coming back!

The aesthetics of the hotel are not up to par with the category. Tacky furniture with no attention to details. The elavators take 15 minutes to reach the floors, there are lightbulbs in my room out of place

Other than those things, we enjoined our stay. Room service was great when ordering from their menu(s). Food was 4.1/5 and was great late at night. Bed was very comfortable and shower was great. The tub’s a little small, but still pretty nice. Everything was clean too. Overall, it didn’t seem like a true 5-star hotel to me. This place was more like the Hilton Chicago.

Questions took awhile to get answered. Housekeeping needs to wait and not just enter rooms. Handicap rooms take longer to open door not appropriate they use master key and walk in

The room I stayed in was horrible. There was a constant thumping noise all night, the room began flooding through the carpet, the room food service was below average. I was very disappointed in this stay and would not recommend it. I checked out early because of the room conditions.

The Waldorf Astoria BMW7 series car was truely nice and also the suite on the 16th floor look likef house beautiful luxurious magazine the king size bed was thick and heavy the carpet was very thick the show was huge luxurious the tub was huge plenty of bath towels two heavy bath robes with Waldorf Astoria on them the luxurious snacks bar was full of many different treats alot of different drinks its worth the $450 a night 🌙 plus tax

Property is very nice however it could use a common area and be more inviting in lobby. It seems somewhat stark and cold in lobby. There is nowhere to sit when you walk in but a small side lounge area that is not very inviting.

The hotel is beautiful & the spa was wonderful. The staff is exceptional. What I really loved was the private Pilates.

The Waldorf Astoria was definitely a five star Hotel. The rooms were excellent. The accommodations were fantastic and more importantly the service we received was exceptional. They did everything to make her stay a great one. Traveling with a two-year-old is not normally easy especially at a nice hotel but they went out of their way to make it a fantastic experience. Everyone was so accommodating would highly recommend.

The property is very nice. Valet parking was chaotic. There was only one man taking care of the cars and luggage so the wait time was long. The fireplace in the room left the smell of gas, we turned off the fireplace and asked the front desk to send someone to check on it. Maintenance checked it with a meter and there was not a gas leak. We did not turn the fireplace back on.

We got there at check in (3:00) but our room wasn’t ready yet so they helped us with our bags and brought us to the restaurant (Brass Tack) and told us the first round of drinks were on them, we ended up getting food too and they paid for it all. The food and drinks were delicious! The bar (Bernard’s) was so cozy and cute also! Everything was super clean as well! It was our anniversary and they sent up chocolate covered strawberries to our room!

My favorite place to stay when visiting home

Had lovely time here. Staff were very attentive and Cheryl the concierge took the time to greet us every day and see how we were enjoying the city and if we needed any recommendations. She even organized some champagne for our room when she heard it was our anniversary!

I travel to Chicago multiple times a year, and have hotel favorites for different seasons. The Waldorf Astoria is now our favorite hotel in the city-- across seasons. By chance, my wife and I encountered the hotel manager in the elevator. He was courteous, attentive, thoughtful and made sure that any inquiries were answered and all needs met. The spa was outstanding and the staff was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful and the room was beautiful. They were firing on all cylinders. We look forward to our next stay.

Good location, good facility, but room light was broken and fixing up was slow. Early check in and waiting for hotel to text when the rooms ready until I went back to the hotel after 4 pm, and still took time to find the room and luggage was not even delivered properly. Not reflective of the reputation of the hotel.

One of the best hotel stays ive had the service and staff where amazing. Made us feel like we where important. I appreciate Cornelius and Sheryl for making sure that we where accommodated to the best of their ability. The valet attendants jaime, charles and thebother guys name i dont remember but he was working with them. Went above and beyond. We will definitely return in the future.
