We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent, conveniently close to everything we needed. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options to choose from.

I love the Talbott and have been a guest many times over the past 40 years. My husband and I brought our children there many times as well. It feels like home and the location is excellent for us. This trip was with a couple of notable distractions for me. The plumbing in the bathroom was very noisy. I actually was awakened early by a neighbors use of sink, toilet or shower??? not sure which making lots of loud noises and for several minutes at least. In addition, the mattress was not very comfortable after this most recent remodel.

Really nice hotel and location. Only con was that our room’s window was looking at the side of another building.

The spacious room (two queen bed standard room) we had for our stay more than made up for the fact that there is no pool in this hotel. This was one of the largest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in and my family really enjoyed it! The room including the bathroom was incredibly clean, the beds very comfortable, and the location was a couple minutes walk to Michigan Ave. My only complaint was that at a certain point only one elevator seemed to be working so wait times were longer than I wished. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The dining staff especially Fabian was fantastic and last but not least, Freddie the bartender was on top of our drinks and appetizers. Super crew and we will definitely stay again!

Very nice, but only provided two towels and we needed to take a shower when we arrived because we had a an event for the evening, and then the next morning we needed a shower. The towels were provided were too wet to use in the morning.

The room is fantastic as is the hotel, but the elevators really need to be fixed permanently. Every time I stay, one of them breaks. If it happens again, I likely won’t continue staying here.

The location is great, always outstanding service.

We enjoyed our stay at the Talbott. From check-in to check-out, the staff was pleasant and welcoming. We were upgraded to a king suite with a city view and appreciated the spaciousness and quality of our room. The only small things that could use improvement were that the heater in our bathroom did not blow heated air, only a fan that blew cool air, and our bathroom door was warped so it didn’t close easily. Otherwise, the room was spotless and comfortable. The location of the hotel was convenient as well, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants.

Great location, quite roomy, but a little noisy.

Outdated. One elevator was broken so we waited over 10 minutes to get to the lobby w our luggage. Room was spacious but looked out to a wall in an alley. Will not stay again. Disappointing.

Nice property with good amenities. Staff was rude and unresponsive to small needs including body wash for the room. Room was not ready upon arrival at 5pm when it was noted that room would be ready at 4pm.

Location is impossible to beat! Loved being able to get to so many favorite spots on foot. Staff was very kind. I paid over $3k for 4 nights and our room was shockingly facing the alley way on the third floor with constant slamming of dumpsters at all hours with no natural light or view. I was so bummed about this as it kind of ruined the vibe inside the room! We also weren't able to get our rooms serviced the first two days due to short staff but we had 4 people in our double room and needed trash removed, more towels etc.

The room wasn't ready at the appropriate time. The check-in line was so very long and people weren't happy. Limited staff to take care of guests. Not enough cleaning staff since quite a large number of people were asked to wait for rooms to be ready and no clear answer as to when rooms would be ready. Room was basic (it had a view of the building mechanicals) and the toilet backed up (however, it was taken care of quickly). The restaurant staff and food were very good and the only bright spot at this hotel. All in all, meh. Too costly for what it is.

It is in a good location I paid for breakfast when I booked. The first morning I was told very rudely by a member of staff in the restaurant that I didn't have a voucher. I went to the reception. When I sat down a menu was put in front of me and I was told the 3 things I could order. From a long menu list. When I asked for an orange juice I was told ' you will have to pay for that.' So it is a very limited breakfast I paid for. I clearly got the budget menu. If I had known I wouldn't have bothered. Restaurant staff were horrible. Then the reception staff confused me with another guest ( from the Netherlands) and I am still trying to unravel my charges. Very unimpressed with the staff generally.

Hotel was under construction, horrible bathroom. Remodeled bate room had a soap metal holder that you will hit with your body every time you would take a shower. Horrible

Room couldn’t get cool enough. The conditioning didn’t function well. The technician brought us up a fan and that helped a bit. Also, the mattress was uncomfortable.

The Talbot was a nice hotel. Parking was offsite and terrible. If you park offsite be very careful.

We stayed during the weekend of 4th of July and were upgraded to a suite. we arrived around 10:30pm. the Front Desk agent who checked up in was very nice and welcoming. It was quick. Out suite was big and quiet. The bed was ok. The was toilet was clean. Not a big fan of the photographies on the wall but I guess the hotel wants a little rock'n'roll style. The elevator were pretty quick. We did not try the bar/restaurant or any room service.
