Reviews
The Majestic Hotel is a historic, baseball-themed property located in a quiet, residential area near Wrigley Field and Lake Shore Drive. Guests appreciate the hotel's charm, friendly staff, and convenient location, but some find the rooms outdated, small, and in need of updates. Parking can also be a challenge due to its off-site location and valet service.
- Historic charm and baseball-themed decor
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Outdated and small rooms in need of updates
- Off-site parking with valet service

The room was small and many fixtures were worn. For instance, the wallpaper in the room was damaged and the luggage rack was discolored from wear and tear.
- 4/5
The hotel and rooms are clean and very presentable and the staff is very nice & helpful. The place does have a certain old charm. The elevator, while functional, wasn't really very useful because it's tiny, so we used the stairs. A bit disappointed there wasn't a continental breakfast. They did have free coffee but nothing more. Overall, a nice place to stay with a 10-15 minute walk to Wrigley.

Always love it!
- 5/5
Great location for Wrigley (10-12 min walk) friendly staff, very reasonably priced parking, comfortable room & bed, good a/c unit, and fine amenities.
- 2/5
Dowdy run down property. Scattered baseball themed decorations to mask the lack of investment in updating or enhancing the building & facilities
- 5/5
Everything great. Would love to have coffee in the toom
- 5/5
Great location, quieter area, extremely clean, friendly staff
- 5/5
Great room and space. Exceptional area as well
- 5/5
Older hotel with the charm of an older one. The staff was fantastic and the area was close to Wrigley field. Good restaurants nearby. It is within walking distance of Wrigley and the light rail. I would definitely stay here again and I hope I get the opportunity to do so
- 3/5
The room was clean but very small, and it was well-worn. The common areas were also well worn. The hotel looks good from the outside butbis disappoiting the moment you step in the door. The hotel needs a make-over. In the room, the refrigerator was packed with items you had to buy, leaving no room for leftovers from local eateries. There was no microwave in the room, which I thought the advertisement on the internet said they had (but I could be mistaken) so we brought some popcorn to pop but there was no microwave to pop it in. There also was no coffee maker in the room. You had to go down to the lobby to get coffee in the morning. Having a one cup coffee maker in the room with plenty of coffee would have GREATLY enhanced our stay. We could dress slowly and not have to jump into clothes to run downstairs for coffee. Because we paid Cubs game day rates, we paid $546 a night. So don't be cheap -- give us something to make it worth that rate. Our cab driver indicated other travelers had been disappointed with the hotel too. The male staff acted indifferent to us. The women staff were very nice to us and helpful. What I liked was that it was walking distance to Wrigley Field, there were good eateries close by, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly, even at night. Lots of women walk their dogs late and seemed OK about it.

I liked the themed classic baseball feel that came with the room Deposit was stated to return in the next couple (1-2) days, it’s been two weeks and still no return

This property was a great location for attending a Cubs baseball game.

Everything was incredible! The Majestic is very close to Wrigley Field, so the baseball theme was everywhere - from the lobby to the hotel room (: the staff was incredibly friendly and were so nice. We arrived a lot later than we anticipated (think around midnight the next day) and the staff could see we were incredibly tired and were so friendly so late at night! (: the elevator up also had places to visit along with their distance from the hotel. We ended up going to Ann Sather on that recommendation and because it was a 10 min walk away. It’s also very close to the running trails along the water which my fiance loved! The area is super safe and I highly recommend staying there if you want access to good food, the lake, and want to tour Wrigley field. Additionally, we took the cta bus into the city and it didn’t take long at all (roughly 20 mins)!! It’s a great location - quiet, safe, walkable and overall just so welcoming (:
- 5/5
The staff is always so friendly and helpful- one of the best reasons to come. Proximity and walk ability to Wrigley with the baseball themed property is the second! Rooms always clean. Could use a bit of updating but very clean.
- 5/5
Great theme!

Location and the lobby was very nice. Well I didn’t see a breakfast so if it was there it wasn’t prominent. For the price it was missing amenities most other hotels have: coffee in the room, safety bars for older visitors, some kind of breakfast. I don’t care for a full refrigerator in case I have leftovers.

Air conditioner not working. We used ceiling fan instead. Saw a popcorn maker in the community room. Never saw any popcorn in it.

What a treasure hidden on a quiet street close to the lake and boystown. Charming facility with attentive, warm, professional staff. Parking is available for an extra fee and its well worth not searching for on street parking. It's going to be my go-to hotel from now on!

Wonderful little place! Would stay again, as it was clean, cute and in a good area
- 4/5
Great location. Bed was comfy. Floors were a bit squeaky.
- 5/5
It was good
- 4/5
The hotel was fine for my purposes. The room was clean and so was the bathroom and the bed was very comfortable but there aren’t really any amenities to speak of. But I didn’t really mind that as all I need is a clean room with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. I used to live in Lake View East and was happy to be back in my old neighborhood again!!! If I would have liked one thing, that would have been a coffee maker in the room but other than that I was very satisfied with my stay and would defend motley stay there again. If you are looking for a clean and friendly no frills hotel in the best neighborhood in Chicago, the Mahestic fits the bill!!
- 5/5
The staff really made our stay special! So friendly and welcoming. The coffee, cookies and popcorn was a nice touch. Convenient minibar and not overpriced. Will stay every time we come to the area
- 5/5
Easy check in. Close parking
- 4/5
It's a quaint old building. The room was small; the elevator was smaller. The staff was friendly and professional. The carpeting in the hallway and room look dirty, but choosing to believe they're just old. Best thing about this place is the location. It was an easy walk to Wrigley.
- 5/5
The parking was great right Next door and secured .The staff was incredible and really care about the guest .The Hotel really gives you the whole experience of Wrigley field and only 12 minutes walking .If u want the complete experience then stay here . This hotel is magical .

It's an older hotel in a quiet neighborhood right across from the lake. The elevator was only big enough for 2 people and the room itself was very small. The fridge was stuffed with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that you could purchase along with snacks, but it just takes up a ton of space we would have liked to use. The tub had no handholds or non-slick surface and with the pedestal sink, there were few places to put toiletries. We didn't use their parking, but there wasn't much street parking around the hotel either so glad we didn't depend on that. It was fine for one night, but the cost was extremely high due to a baseball game/graduation Saturday night.
- 5/5
Charming and clean Room was small but it had everything we needed, they did a great job on renovation

I thought there was supposed to be a continental breakfast but it never materialized. There was always hot coffee in the lobby and sometimes amazing cookies but not always - that seemed to depend on the mood of the front desk staff. The property is a little dated - rooms are fine but definitely old school and the elevator is small. Some areas could use some updates.

- 5/5
Parking in the back which is validated and the staff (Emilia) are excellent. Charming neighborhood hotel walking distance to Wrigley Field. I will certainly stay there again. Winner!
- 4/5
Water pressure was abysmal, and the AC units needs a serious upgrade. Wouldn't stay again, but would highly recommend to our of town Cubs/baseball fans.
- 5/5
Great location between Wrigley Field & the lake.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly! Rooms were very spacious. Hotel has that nostalgic feel which we liked. For price of room, hotel could offer some sort of breakfast. Good location for a short walk to Wrigley Field.
- 4/5
Staff was nice and professional, great location. Room was quite small. Especially for the price.

This is a great hotel !I would definitely stay here again . The area is SO nice . Just a 10 minute walk to the lake so peaceful. We walked to some nice breakfast places. The hotel has a list of restaurants that came in handy . You can park in front of the hotel for 15 minutes for dropping off or picking up your luggage and the parking garage is around the block .The rooms are very comfortable. There is coffee and tea , popcorn in the room by the lobby . It looked like the pictures on the website. I would recommend staying here . We allso took a bus to downtown. When you go out of the hotel take a left go to the end of the block and either direction you will find a bus stop .
- 5/5
Historic building, small elevator and parking is with the neighboring condominium building which wasn’t hard to figure out but not ideal for any one with any handicaps based walking needs. Great location for Wrigleyville fun though!
- 3/5
Lobby staff was friendly, bed was comfortable. Parking garage was off site. Would have been nice to have a continental breakfast or more coffee options.

Stayed there for May 3 Cubs game nice walk to the stadium. They offered a parking garage easy to find an easy to get in and out of.
- 5/5
Everything was so smooth & easy!
- 5/5
Cute hotel in a quiet and pretty area of town, but still walkable to restaurants. Parking was easy. They only do valet though, so bring cash for a tip. The interior had a cozy design with a cute sitting room with coffee and tea. The rooms didn't have a coffee maker, which was difficult for me because I need it first thing in the morning. But for people not self conscious about going down to the lobby for coffee before showering/makeup, the setup is great and they have lots of creamer/sweetener options available. The room was on the smaller side but plenty big for me and my husband. The bed was comfortable and there were snacks/drinks stocked for purchase. Both staff members we talked to were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
The property is charming and in a great location. Offsite parking is convenient and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The mattress was a little too soft for me.

Loved the hotel. It is such a nice place, really cozy. The room was perfect, clean. Nice area and many things around. Close to Wrigley Field.
- 4/5
Nice place for going to a game at Wrigley
- 5/5
I loved this place, everything was spotless, the theme was great, the robes they had were fantastic. The location was nearby redline and the neighborhood is beautiful.
- 5/5
We had a really good experience. The rooms were small but perfect for the two of us! Parking was tricky so be prepared to look ahead for parking! Overall we will be back again!
- 5/5
Clean and great staff
- 5/5
Great place to stay for Cub games.
- 3/5
A lot of little things not kept in good condition. Coffee table swayed and was about to collapse. Bed frames on enery room we have stayed in area squeaky. Some outlets and bedside lamp USBs were not in working order. Almost daily dumpster emptying at apartment next door right under quite a few rooms' windows very early in the morning. (I had messaged property twice for a quiet room away from such noises and they did not respond) Having said that, we are past and future guests, but just wish things were up to par for the expense.

We had a great stay. Clean, comfortable, unique property. Will be back!
- 5/5
Excellent location. Wonderful hotel.
- 4/5
The staff is helpful. The standard room is small but it works. They could stand to upgrade the mattress but it is ok for a night or two. The ac is not too loud and there was a ceiling fan that was nice to have. The elevator is really small but I don’t think this is unusual for a building of this age in the city. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
The Majestic Hotel was fabulous. Super clean. Situated in a nice neighborhood with plenty to do within walking distance.
- 4/5
Room was smaller then shown and bed possibly not queen as reserved. Shower was somewhat difficult to work to minimize squeak while showering.

There’s a parking garage available, but this hotel is in a great neighborhood with plenty to do and eat in walking distance!

Stayed here for a show at Aragon. Was a nice night so ended up walking back after the show. Was just the sort of place we needed.
- 5/5
Great location, walked to a lot of places. I would recommend it. (Not a great choice if you are mobility limited on stairs.)
- 5/5
This is such a great hotel. Perfect location, easy parking (garage across the street on Addison). The staff has always been so welcoming and lovely, and the rooms are cozy. 5-10 minute walk to the L and many great places to eat and drink within walking distance.
- 5/5
Pretty cool, Cubs themed hotel (and I’m not even a Cubs fan) with accessible parking garage. Stocked mini bar that you can either charge to your room or pay cash at the desk. Close enough to walk to Wrigleyville. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the creaky floors - you could hear the people on the floor above you walking around. But overall it was an enjoyable trip!
- 4/5
Nice staff. Excellent location. Could use new beds. Overall very nice stay.
- 4/5
Room was quite warm even with turning the air on but not terrible. Pillows weren’t great, but outside of that it was a lovely stay! Kind staff. Quaint hotel. I’d stay again if the price was right.
- 5/5
Room was a little stuffy. But the room was beautiful and staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Excellent temperature control. Pillows need to be different. Consider not having motion activated lights in the bathroom- lots of people don't want the full light when they wake up at night to use the bathroom.
- 5/5
Clean room and convenient location
- 5/5
Great property, only issue was lack of coffee maker in room and a weird clanking sound from the radiator on our last night.
- 5/5
Quiet hotel in a residential neighborhood. Nearest shops and restaurants are about two blocks away. Bus stops are also easy to walk to. Location is really close to the lake -- I recommend taking in the views at Belmont Harbor. The hotel is in an older building that has some quirks, but I really enjoyed my stay. The staff is excellent. I also like the common room downstairs -- very comfy and cozy, with coffee, a shared microwave, and disposible plates and utensils.
- 1/5
Majestic hotel if I could leave zero stars I would. It’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Never going back again. I didn’t like being right in front of the front desk. I didn’t like that I could hear everything going on at the front desk. There’s someone next to us that has their phone speaker on all the time. There are people above us who keep running and jumping at alll hours of the night. And there’s something clinging outside of our bedroom window. It’s not close to anything like it said on the website. And the front desk was not helpful at all. There’s no bar or even a spa like the website said they do. They do not. They can’t even offer floss. They taunt you with over priced snacks and drinks in your room. I did not touch them!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. We were treated wonderfully and were asked if everything was good whenever we came downstairs. Easy walking to everything in the area
- 5/5
The hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful street in a great area close to shops and restaurants. The room is as cozy and nice and the bottle of wine was a great compliment.
- 4/5
My only complaint is the really loud banging of the radiated heat. While a little noise is to be expected, it was quite loud and needed a little maintenance to reduce the noise, Great little living area was unexpected and nice to have. I’d definitely stay again. Great location and inexpensive parking.
- 5/5
I only spent one night at this hotel due to a travel delay so my experience was somewhat limited, however I felt very welcomed. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant and the common area was quite charming. The location is ideal and close to public transportation. I would definitely book a future stay at this hotel.

Great cozy and clean place.

A great option for Chicago...especially the staff
- 4/5
The heat turned off during the night and we woke up in a freezing room.
- 4/5
Room was large and clean. The wind made something make a lot of noise knocking and clanging at night, so that woke us up several times. Maybe that could be secured so it wouldn’t make as much noise

Room was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. No vending machines, but the honor bar was not crazy expensive 👍 Would stay here again.
- 4/5
Nice property, good size for price. Only thing would be being charged extra without any reasoning. Wish I can get clarity as room was left in good shape
- 4/5
Parking in Chicago is insane and I don’t think your website or emails tells you not to bring a truck to get”free” parking! We ended up getting a ticket not good!

- 5/5
Very cute hotel, clean and quiet. Staff very friendly.

Very nice room, comfy bed, very friendly and helpful desk staff. No problems or extra charge for early check in (2 hours with notice).
- 4/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Place has a lot of character
- 3/5
It was fine. Had no issues
- 3/5
I didn't know about the free bottle of wine until I overheard a guest ask. With popcorn the only amenity, you need a new machine. One night guard slept and scared me. Coffee area not regularly cleaned and coffee a bit weak. I do love Amelia and Luis, however, and the location.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great location.
- 5/5
After one trip, this is now one of my favorite hotels. Great staff, amazing location.
- 5/5
Great place, room, and location. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Such a charming hotel. I loved its quirky character! My husband, a baseball fan, appreciated the decor. The room was spacious and spotless. The bed was comfortable, and the towels were nice. The front desk staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great room, FANTASTIC location and parking was a breeze!
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
Very cute place, friendly staff, nice community room for gathering. Very comfy beds, nice pillows. Would definitely recommend, especially to baseball fans.
- 5/5
Great value. Clean room. Cute lobby area
- 5/5
Clean and great local. Walkable. Parking.
- 5/5
Good location.
- 5/5
Easy check in, easy parking around the corner. Clean accommodations in a quaint, older building.
- 1/5
No parking for larger vehicles. Had to park 8 blocks away and walk in snow. Front desk staff was very quick to offer up solution of cancelling our reservation as apposed to calling lots to find a close parking option. No morning breakfast. Smallest elevator I’ve ever seen. Would not consider this hotel again. Over priced and underwhelmed.
- 5/5
The Majestic is a wonderful small hotel with a wonderful staff in a great location.
- 5/5
Ameila was super amazing at the front desk, the room was amazing and the walkability was perfect.
- 5/5
Cute rooms, comfy bed, nice mini bar. Bathroom a little small and dated- carpet and furniture a little stale and uncomfortable. But cute baseball/ Cub decor. No breakfast and no bar.
- 5/5
Unique Cub- focused decor/ no breakfast/ comfy bed/ uncomfortable couch- they need throw pillows. But overall- great and spacious
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 3/5
Rooms are a little outdated.Rooms need a refresh.
- 5/5
“A one-of-a-kind hotel with amazing style, great service, and unforgettable vibes. Highly recommend!”
- 4/5
Room was big and comfortable. Heat a little tricky to get right. Parking at an adjacent condo was slightly inconvenient and $25 a day. Heavy baseball themed hotel. No breakfast.
- 5/5
This place was remarkable! I will be staying here again for a Cubs game or another visit.
- 3/5
Older, smaller room than expected
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and room was clean and comfortable!
- 5/5
Yes, it is old and a little worn, but it’s immaculately clean and welcoming. This place reminds me of old European hospitality. We loved it. My daughter is Gen Z, and I am a Boomer. This was perfect for both of us. Warning, the radiator pipes do bang a bit at night, but it’s part of the charm. Turn the fan on to drown out the occasional noise. You will be fine.
- 5/5
Loved the Honor Bar in the room! Such a great idea
- 4/5
Clean room, nice staff and great location. Hotel could use a bit of updating in the room but overall we really liked this hotel and would stay here again. Great price and location for a quick trip to the city!
- 5/5
This hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was easily walkable to many areas including Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park and numerous restaurants and grocery stores. There is no breakfast but there is coffee all day long. The $25 dollar covered parking was well worth it. Front desk employees were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Ownership was present and accessible! We’re not instructed about free wine and upgrades. Great stay will stay again in the future.
- 5/5
I made a last-minute decision to stay in Chicago and not drive home to Indiana. I booked a room at 8:30 PM… And was pleasantly surprised to see how affordable it was. I then arrived at the hotel after midnight. The night staff was extremely pleasant, and directed me to the convenient parking around the corner. I would stay here again.

The front desk receptionist was so nice and friendly and even offered advice on how to take the subway to the airport to save money vs a cab. The hotel is gorgeous and even offered wine and cocktails for sale at incredible prices. The room was comfortable. I’d definitely stay here again!

This is a nice property located on a very quiet street surrounded by classic Chicago apartments. Super walkable to nice dining, coffee, breakfast and nightlife. Blocks from Wrigley Field. The hotel itself is quaint and very cozy and comfortable.

Arrival at the Majestic can be a little challenging. It may be necessary to parallel park, and there are only two, maybe three "loading" places in front of the hotel. The parking garage is around the corner ... probably a 5-6 minute walk. Parking is an extra $25 per day, plus tips for the valet. It does seem safe and secure and was always very accessible. Room 108 was tiny. Everything was pretty nice. It was quiet and clean. The entrance to the hotel is not ADA accessible. Several steps. Just a heads up. If you book through Hotels.com or another third party get a confirmation of your rate per night. We ended up being charged about $50 per night more than we had expected from our reservation. The hotel referred us to Hotels.com to try to access a refund. by the time we got our invoice there was no evidence on our Hotels.com portal of the price we had seen at the time of the reservation ... only the price we were charged by the hotel. Not sure how that will turn out.
- 5/5
Very nice and charming hotel at great location.
- 3/5
Nothing wrong with the building besides hearing every single thing the upstairs neighbors do. Staff is very friendly but isn’t overwhelming. Biggest issue is good luck finding parking. You’ll be blocks away
- 5/5
Heat and AC was great Parking garage right around the corner and price was very reasonable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Excellent neighborhood. Parking cost and facilities very good.
- 3/5
Easy and safe parking in offsite bu close garage. Excerise facility pass a few blocks away. Staff was friendly. The hotel itself is dated with small rooms. Bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Rooms are cozy but plenty of room for 2 people. Really enjoyed our stay!! Area very walkable and a short walk to public transportation. Would definitely stay again!!
- 3/5
The Majestic is conveniently located a few blocks from our daughter’s home. The staff is friendly (we only met front desk) and the building is reasonably clean. Who ever designed the renovation should be banned from similar projects. The bathroom light automatically went on if one of us passed by the door which squeaked and groaned when moved. A mirror was placed on the wall opposite so that the light was reflected to the bed. We left the door open a crack to see our way during the night. Windows were poorly insulated allowing a draft. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the wooden hangers, tissues and bar soap as well as an empty fridge to hold the contents of our cooler.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Quirky yet the rooms are clean, well appointed and the bed is very comfortable. We had the sun room suite and it was perfect. We would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Comfortable bed and pillows.
- 2/5
Although the historic age is charming, the floors are made of slats and you can hear the creaking of every footstep made from the floor above you. There is a lot of noise from across the alley from the adjacent. The room smelled like mold and had issues with allergies. There is also mold in the shower. The door locks are older, magnetic keys, and proved to be very problematic.
- 5/5
All was good- check in was easy- room was huge and clean- very close to where we needed to go- definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay if you’re catching a game at Wrigley. Walk right by all the traffic! Super cute and clean.
- 1/5
This hotel has the feel of the old male hotels of the 50's. It smells of disinfectant. Don't come with a car because parking is six blocks away at a much nicer hotel on Broadway. You get what you pay for but at $300 a night, it should have been better than this.
- 4/5
Safe, clean, convenient
- 5/5
Great location and quiet
- 5/5
The MH has parking options depending on the height of your vehicle O/U 6 feet tall. The location is ideal if visiting Wrigleyville.
- 5/5
Great experience. Great staff.
- 4/5
A/c worked fine. Coffee was all gine. No perks that I’m aware of. Parking situation was difficult. Heavily worn.
- 4/5
This hotel is perfectly located for Wrigley Park fans. Hotel was very clean and well represented. Amelia, our hostess was a wonderful adder during our stay
- 5/5
All was great. Awesome location with easy walk to so much fun things. its not super luxurious, but its clean, friendly and great location

Advertised parking just a block away, but when we went to said parking, the staff at the garage wouldn’t let us park there. We drove around the block for an hour looking for other parking to no avail. Finally had to cancel our reservation and the staff was nice enough to help with that. The pictures were also deceiving to how nice the hotel actually was.

Clean room, Quiet location near the lake and Wrigley field. Historic but updated hotel with character. Don't be a noob and try to drive/park here unless you enjoy selbst schadenfreude. Cubs theme - friendly staff and nice coffee/hangout lounge near lobby.
- 5/5
If you are looking for a charming place to stay that is walkable to Wrigley, this is an excellent option. The staff is friendly, the neighborhood felt comfortable and safe and it was very conveniently located. The hotel is definitely vintage but it is well kept, cute baseball theme and friendly staff. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Excellent stay. The only thing we had difficulties with is our chain on our ceiling fan was broken. We had to take the light bulb out to enjoy the fan at night.
- 5/5
It was close to Wrigley Field and everything we came to do we could walk to! We were also lucky enough to get early check in and enjoy extra time in the city.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
This hotel is within walking distance of Wrigley Field. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Great location to catch a game at Wrigley Field! Not your typical hotel. It's vintage charm makes you feel like you are staying in old town Chicago!
- 2/5
Air conditioning did not work well, we were offered free parking to compensate.
- 5/5
This property was conveniently located in walking distance to Wrigley field! I also enjoyed the smaller, quiet hotel. The staff was helpful. Parking was secure nearby for a fee. I will definitely return.
- 5/5
Parking was convenient and easy. Room was very clean and quiet. Room had lots of room. Easy walk to Wrigley field through a beautiful neighborhood. The absolute best part of this hotel staff that went out of their way our entire stay. Without a doubt the best staff at hotel I ever stayed in. Always with a smile and a welcome. Definitely recommend if you are traveling with a service dog. Will be my go to hotel when staying in Chicago.
- 5/5
We chose this hotel because we wanted to be near Wrigley Field short walk safe plenty of restaurants and bars.Took the L which was convenient.
- 5/5
Cubs hotel very nice close to restaurants and stadium
- 5/5
Loved that this was in walking distance to Wrigley Field.(about 15-20 min) It’s in a nice area with restaurants within a short walking distance. Just be aware, this is an older hotel and the elevator is very small. Three adults with three rolling carry-ons could not fit into it. This is a cute hotel. The staff was great. I would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
The rooms are nice but dated. The AC includes loud window units. Bathroom and shower very nice but with no humidity control. Staff very nice.
- 5/5
Very cute hotel and rooms. We were there for a baseball game and the location was perfect. 10min walk to Wrigley Field.
- 5/5
Water pressure in shower below par, even considering water conservation
- 3/5
Clean room, noisy a/c unit. Hotel is in need of refurbishment.
- 4/5
When we went to leave, we found items left behind by previous guests, under the bed. We hadn’t checked when we arrived, as we assumed everything thing would be clean. It was not. One item was a pair of underwear.
- 3/5
Convenient but not very clean
- 5/5
It had a lot of character and nice amenities in the room. Comfy bed too! Loved the location and Amelia at the front desk was friendly and helpful start to finish!
- 5/5
Loved the hotel. Super quiet and loved the rooms.
- 5/5
A beautiful hotel so quiet you don’t realize you are in the city
- 4/5
There was trash behind the dresser, there was blood on the pillow, the refrigerator did not work, three of the lights in the elevator were out.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The staff was nice. Very convenient location for our visit, not far from restaurants and wrigley field.
- 5/5
The rooms were amazing and very clean. The staff were so wonderful and accommodating. Parking is around the block but easy enough. The decor was awesome. We loved the woman who checked us in. Super friendly and sweet. We cant wait to come back!
- 5/5
Convenient location for Wrigley Field, parking right nearby, and lots of entertainment and restaurant options in neighborhood.
- 5/5
Great place with friendly service.
- 5/5
Nice property and staff
- 3/5
The staff at the front desk did not communicate that the parking fee would be removed from the $100 credit card hold for incidentals. The garage has a sign that said cash only. I paid the garage directly $60 in cash. I contacted the hotel about the $50 not returned to my card. I was told a manager would call me back. It's been 5 days with no call and no refund of the $50.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Hotel is small, older, and lacks amenities of larger hotels. Overpriced for what I paid…should be a three-star at best.
- 4/5
The Majestic Hotel was in a perfect location for us, close to our daughter’s home and the lake. We made a poor choice of a room. Our queen bed seemed small (we have a king) and the room was tiny. It was clean but the AC was incredibly loud when it came on (husband liked the “white noise”). The shower was difficult to turn on. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We may consider the Majestic again, but take a larger room with a larger bed.
- 5/5
Great decor and atmosphere. Staff was helpful and accommodating. The hotel is walkable distance to many amenities (little less than half-a-mile’s easy walk to Wrigleyville). The rooms were small (at least mine was) but clean and nice. There weren’t many “extras” (for ex: no pool, no restaurant, [though you can order food to your room]) and the parking garage is half-a-block away, so if you’re planning on spending a lot of time at the hotel, I might not recommend it. But if you’re looking for a place to stay while you explore Chicago, go to an event, see a game, etc, this is a very good option.
- 5/5
Nice. Clean. Great location. Friendly
- 5/5
Excelent Location for a CUBS Game, Nice and very good Hotel.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean but rather small. The price was way to high ,we expected something nicer.
- 5/5
Cute baseball themed boutique hotel! Room was clean & the staff was very friendly! In a quiet neighborhood! Easy walk to Wrigley field.
- 5/5
staff was so friendly and i like my free wine,i would like to see coffee pots in room
- 5/5
For Cubs fans this is the perfect place to stay. It’s beautiful, vintage, and walkable to Wrigleyville!
- 2/5
The evening desk clerk was rude and seemed inconvenienced to have to answer any questions. The carpet throughout was worn and dirty. The whole hotel looked rundown. There were hairs in several places in the bathroom. The mattresses were overly soft due to age. The lighting in the room was poor. Very overpriced for the quality of the hotel.
- 5/5
I have never stayed at this location before BUT I plan on coming back again. I loved this hotel and the area. Walking down Broadway street, there is everything you need. And the rooms are nice. Lovely stay not too far from North Halsted.
- 3/5
The hotel was perfect if you were going to Wrigley Field. A very good location. The concern is the parking. It was very inconvenient.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved it, enjoyed the stay and loved the way the hotel was designed
- 5/5
Bathroom was small
- 5/5
Great stay and close to the park.
- 4/5
Didn’t like u couldn’t get to parking garage from inside hotel! Rooms small but clean
- 4/5
Excellent location, older hotel but still well kept. Elevator was ridiculously slow - not worth waiting on at all.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Great for any baseball fan, and only a 20 minute walk to Wrigley. Staff is so helpful and friendly, parking garage is excellent. Nice walk to the lake as well.. clean, spacious room.
- 5/5
Great staff and location
- 5/5
It was perfect!! Close to the stadium! Everyone was super nice! Amelia was terrific!!
- 5/5
Very convenient if you are attending a Cubs game.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff! Easy walk to Wrigley and restaurants .
- 5/5
Great spot to walk to wrigley
- 5/5
Always enjoy staying here. They replaced some furniture in the room, which was much needed. The new stuff is uncomfortable but its still an upgrade. The bathroom couldve been a bit cleaner-windows really dirty. But staff is great- always so friendly!
- 1/5
The parking ended up blocks away and cost $50. Not what I expected. The room was VERY small and had a dirty rag left behind. The TV worked half the time. Will not stay here again
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at The Majes
- 4/5
Good location!
- 5/5
Great experience overall!
- 5/5
I did not receive a welcome gift.
- 5/5
It was an easy walk to Wrigley and there are great bars and restaurants around.
- 4/5
The hotel is charming and everything was clean and orderly, though the building shows signs of its age and lack of standard upkeep as the paint on the gains railing for the stairs was worn down to the wood the carpets seemed dated and in need of being replaced.
- 5/5
Location is great and parking was easy.
- 5/5
Neighborhood gem
- 5/5
Cozy accommodations and friendly staff. The refurbished rooms were clean and comfortable. The close proximity to Wrigley, restaurants and theaters was great. Didn’t find out about the complementary wine bottle at check-in so missed out on that. Would return gladly.
- 5/5
Beautiful area! Very friendly staff and within walking distance of Wrigley Field
- 4/5
I didnt know about VIP access
- 4/5
Note during the summer time - use the room fan and don't try to rely on the AC window unit. The one eco-friendly option was the optional turndown service which is the biggest impact you'll have, but most everything was one time use or plastic. Good place to stay if you're meant to just sleep and not to spend too much time relaxing in your room.
- 3/5
Ants were in the room with us. We found them crawling on the bed at night.
- 5/5
All of the staff were helpful and accommodating. I felt welcomed right from the beginning. The parking attendant was amazing and went above and beyond. This will be my first choice hotel for future trips to Wrigley!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
This is really a great place to stay if you’re in town for a game at Wrigley Field. Short 6-7 blocks away. The decor was vintage baseball right down to the bleacher seats right when you walk in. We will definitely stay here again the next time our KC Royals are in town!
- 4/5
Nice! Thanks
- 4/5
We were in town for a Cub's game and picked this hotel for it's proximity to Wrigley Field. It was an easy walk and the area seemed safe. Small rooms with Queen size beds but it served it's purpose. Price was a bit high for what you got but it's all about location. No valet parking but there was a loading/unloading zone.
- 5/5
Love that is so close to the lake. Neighborhood is great and the parking garage in and out service was very convenient. Our room was nice but this is an old building so keep that in mind. The theme is baseball which was pretty cool.
- 3/5
A lot of money for what you get. Close to Wrigley Field, which was nice.
- 4/5
Solid boutique hotel with accessible snacks, in-room dining and parking. However, upon walking in, it felt like “The Shining” and held an “attic” or “basement scent” — and felt stale. Elevators and interior could use upgrades.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The room was not as nice in person and the building showed a lot of wear and tear. Bathroom towels were stained, bathtub had chipped paint, and the overall cleanliness of the room could have been better. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and efficient. The location was good. Room did not meet expectations at price point (around $800 for 3 nights).
- 4/5
The front desk was nice. But not aware of the VIP amenities like room upgrades and free late checkout.
- 4/5
Stayed here instead of dealing with traffic after a Cubs night game and it was worth it! The staff is super nice and helpful and the location is excellent to use as your base to explore the city.
- 3/5
Not like it used to be. No breakfast since Covid. No newspapers. Rooms renovated but the furniture in our suite was uncomfortable. No coffee table. No table for eating. Fridge still causes the food to freeze. AC still very noisy. No storage space in bathroom. Positives: nice street. Convenient to Wrigley.
- 4/5
Great location and proximity to Wrigley Field and Boystown with so many LGBTQ+ friendly businesses. The property is older with the charms that come with it and a lovely neighborhood. The mattresses and pillows were worn out and not comfortable. Our mattress was very concave and sunk in the middle. Little things needed repair like the toilet paper roll holder and the desk leg. The elevator was very small so we took the stairs most of the time. Not a good property for people with mobility issues. The suite had good space for our family of 4 to spread out and liked having the little fridge and sink area. The grocery store is very close by and loved hanging at Rocks for drinks and bar-type food. The price was good at the Majestic but not the nicest or fanciest place.
- 5/5
Was very pleased with our stay, they let us check in early. Very nice and loved all the cubs memorabilia! Will definitely stay here again ❤️

- 5/5
Booked the room For concert at Wrigley Field , convienience and great staff. Very helpful and friendly
- 4/5
Nice room in a great location. In room coffee would be nice but otherwise comfortable stay for a good price.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Great area, easy check-in, room was clean and had great amenities, beds were comfortable and bathroom was spotless.
- 3/5
We booked this hotel because it is close to my son’s apartment. The room was nice, expensive, over 300 per night. We asked for 2 queen beds. We got 2 rooms with 2 large tvs. There was a refrigerator and microwave also a mini bar with items to be purchased. The bathroom was modern and seemed quite new. The room was cooled with a room air conditioner which was way above eye level making it difficult to see or change the temperature. My husband was cold the first night. I had to drag a chair over, climb up and raise the temperature. The parking garage was about a block and a half away from the hotel. The price was good for parking in Chicago, 25 per day. My only criticism of the hotel would be the carpets are old and look dirty and need to be replaced at least cleaned both in the room and in the public space. Also for such an expensive hotel the linens weren’t’up to snuff. There was no choice of pillow, nicer hotels have choices of firm or soft pillows and there was no top sheet so you either had to have the duvet over you or nothing.
