Perfect location for catching a game at Wrigley Field. Walking distance to the field and in the middle of all the action. When you are done with the action and want to rest, the room was nice and quiet. I would have preferred coffee in the room for the morning, but there was a nice self serving coffee bar in the lobby.

For a game at Wrigley Field, the Wrigleyville location is hard to beat — aside from some possible buyer’s remorse (the notice after booking that the property is completely self-check-in and not staffed, the warnings in other reviews about keys not working and extra charges) our stay was actually great. There was a front desk attendant during our stay, I suspect because of the Cubs game, and they were friendly and helpful. We booked a room with a balcony and took our dog with us and it couldn’t have been a better experience! Would recommend but def do some reading to make sure it will work for your needs.

The room was clean the desk attendant put water and two bottles of beer in my room, which I didn’t expect and that was nice. We parked right next-door in a parking deck. It was close to everything we were interested in the sliding doors in the bathroom are a little annoying, and the room above us was loud in the middle of the night, sliding doors back-and-forth and making noise but other than that, it was very reasonable and we had a nice time

The room was clean but there were several maintenance issues. Things that overall weren’t big but small and many of them. The temperature regulation was a bit hard to control. Pillows were small and uncomfortable. Liked the coffee downstairs but water was out and if they offer it as a benefit they may want to put in a water line making it more useful. Cute decorations!

The property is remotely maintained so it’s a roll of the dice whether or not there is help at the front desk. Be careful of the elevator. Not only does it move like pond water, but it might just be filled with a cleaning cart and vacuum with no attendant. The rooftop lounge is cozy, but be careful of the warped and uneven boards or you might just end up taking a dive towards N Clark Ave. At least there is a police presence close by to assist if you need help. All in all, a 3 out of 5 stars. Come for the memories and bring ear plugs at a minimum.

You have to complete check in online, including a photo of your ID and a selfie for identity verification, before you can get a key... to be clear, that is a key to the building AND your room. If you like me haven't done this yet, you have to call the number on a piece of paper taped to the window and they will text you things to do while you and your bags stand on the sidewalk as long as is required to get through checkin. Luckily Im tech savvy, but if this had been my parents for instance, who are in their sixties and relatively savvy themselves, there would be no hope. Once you're in, the hotel is cute and fine. Then again, lack of staff was a huge inconvenience as I needed to stow my bags for the day before an evening flight, but no staff to do that. I had to uber to a hotel near where I was going and use their bell desk. So unnecessary. Note to The Chicago Hotel: this model doesn't work, and I wouldn't recommend anyone do this to themselves when there's plenty of other places to stay.

To the point where I decided not to stay there. I then had to scramble and stay with a friend who was not expecting me at all. There was $125 incidental hold that I had no idea would be that much. They would not accept my credit card as payment, because their system did not work. I was not able to check in online. I ended up having to use my debit card to pay the incidental fee, which was more than the room itself. I would really like a full refund because I did not even stay there. I am reaching out to their manager via email tonight.

Limited staff so we waited out in the cold (coldest day of the year) waiting for someone to let us in. We had to call a few numbers to reach someone to let us in. Our door handle in our room fell off (the inside of the room), our tv didn’t work, the heat in our room didn’t work (they brought us a space heater), and in the morning we smelled burning. when we went to remove a phone charger from the wall; it was black, a hole was melted into the charger block, and one of the prongs was stuck in the outlet. Reached out to management about all of this and sent pictures and nothing was done about it. Never heard back from them.

Clean, spacious room. Updated bathroom, but water pressure was terrible (not surprised). No staff on site as it is a remotely managed property. "Pre check in" process was a bit of a hassle, as I completed the process well before check in, but still kept receiving emails about having to complete the pre check in process. When i called the remote staff, they informed me i was indeed, already checked in.

Upon entering the baseball motif was amazing. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures and was even more impressive by how quiet and how close everything was to the location. Got charged $250 for not smoking in the room. Let me explain, the main reasons we stayed here was because it's close to our daughter's house and the fact that it has a rooftop where you can smoke and when we go to Chicago we like to purchase a small amount of marijuana because it's legal in Illinois. While even though we went to the roof each time we smoked marijuana has a strong odor and since we still had it with us when we were in the room it did make it smell so the hotel charged us $250 for not smoking in the room. Doesn't make much sense to stay somewhere with access to a roof but still smoke in the room when there is a sign saying there is a $250 charge for smoking. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you want to be charged extra for nothing

Very confusing check in. The front desk person was away so I called the number and no one knew where she was and then she finally showed up. Hard to get into the actual place. Then she said they are charging me for incidentals like late check out and “free” dinner. However the dinner isn’t at this hotel you have to go to their other hotel 3 miles away. And it’s only for $15. So I paid for a dinner voucher that doesn’t actually exist in the hotel. Bottom line it almost seems scammy with all the info and added payments. I’ll follow up with them to see about refunding me for the things I never used.

Not a safe area. They don’t have desk coverage at all times. At 4pm when we checked in the girl at desk refused to check us in herself. Insisted on us using mobile check in even though we were standing right in front of her. She was not friendly or welcoming at all. She refused our request to check us in and told us she couldn’t check us in and we had to do it through a mobile app even though the email gave us the option to check in online or in person and we selected in person. When we checked out, there was no attendant at desk and had to check out online. Also no attendant at desk when we returned later that evening from our event. Very poor customer service and accommodations are not up to Chicago standards. I stay in Chicago often and had to stay here because my usual hotels were booked. Will not stay here again.

Visit started off with some pretty rude service from person answering the phone…this place really does make you feel like hospitality is DEAD…the room itself and the lobby were great, clean rooms clean lobby just not good service. It’s amazing that by sending repeated text qualified as giving good service is absolutely not service at all. The room, the decor and area were great. Be ware you are in a loud party area and if you are a light sleeper you with not like it here…I personally like sound and slept like a baby, the bed was super comfortable. Unfortunate with the behavior from the people that answer the phone there. It’s not a fully manned hotel and it lacks oversight for giving good service.

I usually don’t write reviews but my sister and I stayed here for a concert at Wrigley Field and it was not a good experience. Upon arrival check in was pretty smooth because fortunately I had read the emails and completed the online check in procedure as required, plus they had an onsite person that day assisting with check ins. However, once we arrived at our room we instantly noticed the entry point/lock on the door had been damaged. This was odd because the door only required a key tap to enter so how the lock ended up damaged that way was very concerning and whether the door was secure. Also one of our beds had stained sheets which were never replaced after notifying the hotel. Our patio door did not lock and the screen door was broken. Not to mention the patio is shared with another room and separated by a short fence. All of these issues were documented and reported to the hotel in which they responded that they were aware of the front door and it just looked like that but wasn’t actually an issue and “thanks for informing us” of the other issues. Considering we paid over $500 for one night in this hotel before deposits and fees, it’s reasonable to expect better conditions. We did not feel safe or secure in our room from either entry point and they showed little to no concern about it. The place itself is in a great location and has a nice concept. It could be a great stay if they maintained the property in better conditions and fixed issues as they arise.

The hotel was beautiful. There was very little help from staff. It is difficult to figure out how to get your key and access your room without anyone working in the lobby. Luckily there was a member of the cleaning staff there to assist us. Without that we would have cancelled the room

This is a really fun place to stay if you are a baseball fan. Lots of fun baseball decor and wall decor in common areas, and the room was clean with a minimalist vibe. It would have been nice to have more baseball related decor in the room, but it was fine. The hotel staff from reception to housekeeping was all very friendly.

Room was great! It was fairly quiet My first recommendation would be to add small fridges to each room. My other negative are the extra fees and no explanation as to what they are for. But perfect for a quick getaway for location Also bonus would be if you could work out a parking situation somewhere nearby . Lots of communication from the staff, just wish check in process was smoother

It’s an easy self-check-in process, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I believe adding a refrigerator to the rooms (and perhaps a microwave) would definitely enhance the guest experience. The coffee corner is nice, but having a refrigerator and offering fresh milk there would make it even better. Overall, I would certainly consider booking this hotel again in the future.

This was the perfect place to stay for a Chicago Cubs game!!! The hotel is convenient to Wrigley Field and in the middle of Wrigleyville. The location gives you unlimited food and drink options with access to local shopping within walking distance. The only draw back is trying to find decent parking. The hotel turned me on to an app called SpotHero for parking which ended up turning out to be a great app!

The hotel had no on-site staff. We had to call a phone number to get our room key and were put on hold for a long time. The room only had hand soap—shampoo and conditioner had to be picked up from downstairs. The toilet paper roll in our room was already half used. A perk was receiving three free drinks from the bar next door. A nice spot to check out is Cheesy, located right across the street.

Guest services day before and day of check in were unfriendly and rude. Called morning of to inquire about early check (per instructions) and was told “your room isn’t ready, call back” and they hung up on me. Properly lists that text messages can be sent but they were rarely answered. TV didn’t work which would have been nice to have some noise to drown out the noises from the bars. We definitely paid for the location and not much else. Parking is an additional expense on top of it.

I really like this Hotel. Even though it was mostly contact less they were very attentive reaching out via message. The only thing I not so sure about is the $49 amenities fee since i only stay a couple night arriving late the first one I only used the bottle water they included which I appreciated. Besides that its about 4 blocks from Wrigley field & surrounded by nightlife. The bars & street can be a little noisy but not terrible & That was even if a bar crawl (mustache crawl) & kpop (Ateez) concert going on in the same night. I didn't visite the attached bar but did check oit the roof deck which glhad beautiful views. In all I would definitely stay again.

I’m going to add to what many others have probably said: there are very expensive hidden fees at this hotel. Starting at $100 per stay. We only stayed one night. But I think there is also a $50 per day fee. Literally NOTHING at this hotel is staffed. There is no bar or restaurant. They give you a text which is a bot. It was difficult to figure out check in online. You need a code to get into hotel so if you haven’t received it by email or text your stuck waiting, and stressing, outside in the heat/cold. Also in the middle of the night water started leaking through the vent right over our toilet in our bathroom. Couldn’t tell if it was clean or grey water. Clearly gross and possibly health code violation. This is not ok. Especially for what you pay after all their hidden fees. Really not a great experience.

They use a unique business model with a remote guest services team, however, they will only respond to your texts & calls the day you are set to check in, which can be problematic if you happen to have ANY issue that you may need to discuss prior to arriving in a new city. If you are going to be remote, fine, but respect the game when you receive texts or calls from your guests. The room & property are fine, however, they charge you an extra $50 per person for amenities that you don't see. So don't be fooled by the low rate, as you might as well take the additional $100 and stay at a hotel with humans.

As soon as I checked in the lady tried to tell me the room I paid and booked through hotels.com was not available and I had to upgrade to a suite for more money. Also i didn’t have an option of the 49.95 fee for guest benefits package. I received a email notifying me that i received a gift card for $25 for restaurant.com to use during my stay or in the future i was not notified of it during my check in so I text the help number and they lady sent me an already redeemed code. The king deluxe is small nothing spectacular about it no refrigerator’s. Love the convenience of stuff being within walking distance but overall there was no ice machine just a cooler with chunks of melting ice, no bags or buckets for transporting back to your room. Definitely not worth what you pay to stay one night very overrated!

There is no staff on site that is not previously stated prior to booking. There is no cleaning staff for the rooms: upon asking for a sheet change we were told it cost $50 to get our sheets changed although we had a three day stay. They begrudgingly gave us towels. No ice machine on property, no fridge in room and cards to enter consistently did not work on a reliable basis. The rooms were nice but, I would consider this an air bnb not a hotel — which we booked a hotel to have hotel like accommodations not for unhelpful and board line aggressive phone staff. On site staff was nice but, not helpful to meeting our needs. I would give it a 3.5 out of 10.
