Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its central location and cleanliness. The staff's helpfulness is often mentioned, although some guests have had negative experiences with specific individuals or the management. Amenities and services, such as parking, housekeeping, and room features, are inconsistent and sometimes disappointing. Unexpected fees are a common complaint.

Would stay again.

We were there just to sleep. Got there late at night. But the front desk was very helpful and kind. Felt bad she was all alone.
- 4/5
Older property but locations is great! One block from miracle mile. Rooftop bar was great. Staff wonderful! Had a fitness center that I didn’t use but it was quite large with lots of equipment. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not spectacular. The bus stop is one block from hotel and runs frequently if you need to go downtown. Also can want subway station to go back and forth from airport. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby!
- 4/5
Room was great very spacious. Lots of places to shop short walk to navy pier. Plenty of places to eat
- 4/5
Liked it very much!!
- 5/5
Very nice, loved the breakfast and rooftop bar
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and staff. Great location and great for a staycation or long stays.
- 5/5
The hotel was a great location and very clean and and staff was nice and friendly!
- 5/5
Had a great time over two days in Chicago. The only downside was that my room was not cleaned when I returned.
- 5/5
My family and I visited on a very busy weekend. I was displeased initially, that the front desk receptionist was by herself considering the hotel was sold out. However, she handled the check-ins with ease; but because of them being short staffed, the extra towels we needed did not get delivered to the room that night. Other than that the stay was pretty good. They seemed adequately staffed the rest of our stay and we were able to get assisted in a professional, polite manner with the rest of our requests. The property was really nice. I loved the front desk design with old vintage suitcases the most! Great lobby area; cozy, and comfortable. I did not have time to hang out the rooftop but will definitely plan to at my next stay. The location is very walkable and close to all of the great shops on N Michigan. All in all 10/10.

Excellent location. Well maintenance space. The room was decent, shower was not great, low pressure. The Skybar was fun and breakfast was good. A very enjoyable experience.
- 4/5
The location was great but there no bottles of water in the room
- 5/5
PERFECT!!!!! Had such a smooth stay! I had a 5 hour delayed flight and was stuck in Nashville. My bestfriend had already made it to Chicago and was at the hotel. I called the hotel and let them know the situation and they allowed her to check in and get comfortable in our room (which was very beautiful). Breakfast was 10/10, roof top was 10/10, service was 10000/10. Loved everything about the hotel especially since we was walking distance from Michigan Ave. We had such a good time in Chicago and this hotel will forever have a customer anytime I visit. Will be back!

This was a nice standard hotel. The location is the main highlight here. The rooms were OK bed was comfortable and the staff was kind.
- 5/5
Great area with a cool rooftop bar
- 5/5
The hotel itself is tight, but it was in a perfect location to shopping on Michigan Avenue. Leo was great with valeting our car. It is also very close to the Northwestern Medical campus and the Children's Hospital. Overall, it was a good location for a short stay.
- 2/5
I picked this hotel because the reviews were good on Expedia but I was very disappointed on the amount of dust in the room, didn’t notice at first until then ext morning when we woke up
- 2/5
Breakfast dinner and drink vouchers not provided despite premier club experience being advertised as included in every reservation after 1/16/2026. Hotel emailed me multiple times about the perks and vouchers available before checking in and then texted me day of check out encouraging me to use the vouchers that they ultimately would not provide. I would have picked a different hotel had their advertised perks been listed correctly.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean and the rooms were decent. Did like the fact. I didn't like the fact there is no mirrors in the whole room except for the one in the bathroom. Also for the price that they charge I feel they should have had daily housekeeping but it was only offered after a 3-day stay. I asked for lotion on the first day by the time I checked out I never received it. The first evening I go to take a shower there's no body wash in the dispenser. If you didn't pay extra for their special inclusion package their breakfast buffet was $35 per person which I think was way too high for what they provided. I asked the front desk with help for sightseeing and cab service and they couldn't help me with either one. I will not stay there again.
- 1/5
To begin with, no one picks up the phone, they give about 9 options and tell to you text phone number that never even replies back. The TV didn’t work. There isn’t cold water. The refrigerator is warm. Some of the plug outlets didn’t work. The check in at 4 PM is mind blowing, I texted their phone number to request to check in early but never got a reply. The restroom was super nice and the hotel is in a nice area close to everything.
- 2/5
- Lint in all towels, unable to shower due to the amount of lint provided in towels. - Cleaning request did not happen during 4 night stay. - Broken bathroom toiletry holder. - Unable to provide towels to room, required to go to front desk.
- 4/5
Overall good but found a dirty sock in our room. No ice machine on every level. Only 3 elevators for 20 plus floors.
- 3/5
It was unfortunate that for entire day I did not have air-conditioning in my room. The staff indicated that there was a problem with the entire hotel and the HVAC system, and that the engineer was working on it. However, the next day I found out when the engineer came to my room that whatever motor that they used to install an air conditioning unit in the room was the incorrect motor and it was never gonna work. The air conditioning unit was finally fixed and when I came back to the hotel the next day by 3 PM we had air-conditioning. The hotel indicated that they were going to reimburse us for the first night. Stay to the amount of $389 and that they would be contacting Expedia since that is where I booked the original trip through. Therefore, I’m just waiting for a refund for my first night which the hotel told me was $389.

Enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
The girl from the breakfast and the guy from the rooftop were nice and respectful, we really like them
- 5/5
Everything perfect
- 5/5
Our room was spacious and very clean
- 2/5
Elevator is very slow, showers are tiny
- 4/5
The room had no drawer storage for clothing. The towel rack with your clean towels is on the wall in the shower. The cleaning staff was very friendly. You cannot call the hotel. It gives you a message to text them. I was trying to call to let them know we would not arrive until after midnight. We we arrived the man at the front desk told me my reservation had been canceled because my card declined. I told him that I had picked to pay at the hotel so that was not possible and pulled it up to show him. Once I did that he checked me in and mentioned it no more. The next day I heard the man at the front desk tell another lady that. I wanted to ask if their policy was to tell everyone that their reservation was canceled.
- 4/5
They were awesome to clean our room before we checked out . Which we checked out 2 days later
- 5/5
The property was good, no pool which is fine for us. Read that there was a hidden mandatory fee but book with Expedia and that was not the case. Card didn’t open the door to the hotel room on 2 occasions but that was the only hiccup
- 5/5
Very nice staff hotel was very clean and well maintained
- 4/5
Overall, the hotel was very good. We had a Junior suite with a great amount of space. The lobby bar was closed, but the rooftop bar was open and the staff up there was great. They only do housekeeping every 3 days which was no issue for us and seems fairly standard these days. Will consider staying here again next time we visit.
- 5/5
It turned out that everything was fine. There were no additional charges except for the incidental charge. Service and staff were excellent. I really recommend this hotel especially if you want to stay in a central location.
- 4/5
Had a pretty great stay. Everything was really nice. Only complaint was how slow the elevators were but I assume it’s bc of the age of the building. The towels in my room were brand spanking new so it did have a lot of fuzz. Overall though, this hotel was great and it’s in a really good location. The bus stops were only a two minute walk and there’s a famous pizza spot and bagel spot next door. Will be staying again
- 3/5
There isn't a coffee machine in the room one is supposed to be in the lobby but although the machines there were 4 there wasn't any tea or coffee pods.
- 5/5
The room was clean not as spacious but great view. The bar was fun!
- 4/5
Great location, lovely hotel with a roof top bar and cheerful staff.

I did not stay because my medical reason for booking this was canceled. They would not work with me to change the dates.
- 1/5
Horrible experience
- 2/5
The room wasn't clean when we entered. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. There were water stains on the ceiling.
- 1/5
They cancelled my reservation without notifying Expedia or me and I had to find a new place to stay. They are the worst hotel ever. Do not stay here. Do not trust them. They even admitted that the reason they did it is because my rate that I booked at was too low.
- 4/5
Nice hotel - great location
- 5/5
Everything was fine.
- 2/5
Unfortunately our stay wasn’t what we had hoped for. We booked this hotel simply for the rooftop. We were there celebrating our friends 50th birthday. We were told as checking it that the rooftop was closed for a private event, but if we wanted to we could purchase tickets to go. Next, our room ran out of toilet paper before the day was over. I had that there was 4 of us sleeping in that room, so you’d assume for the price of the room for the night we would at least have a full roll of toilet paper. The breakfast buffet was pretty blah for the $35 per person. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels with better breakfast options. I don’t usually complain like this, but we were all disappointed with our stay.
- 5/5

Great location for shopping. Well maintained, slightly dated rooms.

Asked for a room with a tub didn't get it and got extra charges after stay. Got my full deposit back but got extra charges. And paid for breakfast after being told it was included. No cable on tv

The hotel was amazing looked exactly like the photos. The staff was awesome 10/10 I would for sure stay here again!
- 3/5
we ended up having to pay $90 on top of what we paid on this app for no reason, our hotel was fully paid yet they charged us this without explaining what it was for, I didn’t want to ask because I was already stressed about not being able to check in early and being late to our activities for the day.
- 5/5
I had travel delays and a situation with my husband and my luggage and they have been very nice about it . Front desk staff is very kind and professional

Staff was extremely helpful!
- 5/5
Location was perfect! We brought our French Bulldog and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Great weekend stay!
- 3/5
The rooftop bar was amazing? The location was great! The room was old and musty smelling. The carpet was wet and the floors felt uneven. The beds were comfortable! There weren’t enough elevators to support the volume of guests. The valet parking was very expensive compared to other hotels. The DJ in the main lobby was amazing and the lobby vibes were good! Gino’s pizza next door was great!
- 4/5
Complimentary breakfast was really nice.
- 4/5
Excellent location within walking distance of bars , restaurants and transit. Clean and spacious rooms.
- 1/5
There're bed bugs. Be careful
- 3/5
My booking stated The hotel Collection on Superior Ave, Chicago, IL had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot in the room. The room did not have a refrigerator nor a coffee pot. Coffee was available on the main floor from 5:30am, which was great. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off around the sink area. Maintenance should repair the wallpaper (Room 2504). The lobby looks nice. Gym was adequate. This hotel is listed as a 4-star but is closer to a 3-star hotel. There was one very thin blanket on the bed. Not enough for warmth. The room was clean. The hallways were pleasantly scented, which was good. Some hotels smell horrible. I was told I should have received an upgrade for a 4-night stay, but did not. My reservation was also to include breakfast but when I checked in I was told breakfast would cost extra. The hotel location is good.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the rooftop bar was great.
- 4/5
Great stay!! Love the different vouchers. Well worth it!!
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean, staff very helpful, bar and rooftop staff was great.
- 5/5
the rooftop was great, room was clean, overall good for the price
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
The room had a nice level change with a desk and fridge and the beds were really comfortable.
- 5/5
Valet parking was terrible and I should have received a $30 discount off of the valet parking per my reservation and they charged me the full amount. Also waited over 30mins for valet to get my car
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
We like the bar area on the top floor. The bar tender was very nice.
- 5/5
great location and spacious room. good value
- 5/5
Great stay! Amazing breakfast buffet!!

the room was clean, the staff was friendly! the rooftop bar was a bit expensive though.

- 5/5
It was very clean and met standards
- 1/5
The room I booked on the app looked clean simple with a modern vibe. The room I walked into looked like it was put together by a items found near the dumpster: the red carpet was full of lint and specks of dirt. The two towels left in the bed were so dirty with yellow brown spots and black spots. The cover was red with orangeish bleach stains. When I decided to see what the mattress looked like under the covers I found it was so dirty it became black. I was scared to sleep on that mattress. The room was somehow connected to another one, which was fine with me as it was noted in the advertisement, but I didn’t expect it to be a glass window covered with wrapping paper that has hearts on it. In addition to that the vent facing the bed was uncovered. I felt so uncomfortable I reported the issues to the person on site: not room I booked and unhygienic. Then I walked out so they can solve this. Their solution was to change the towels. I never came back and I never will come back. I was scammed.
- 4/5
Roof top bar was very limited. My room had not a strip of toilet paper. Conditioner was out! Had two shampoos and no body wash.
- 1/5
They sent me a text, while I was sitting in their lobby trying to figure out where I could stay on the money I had left .
- 4/5
Good location, definitely walkable to a lot of shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
The front desk staff at night and during the day upon checkout were incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. Our original hotel was oversold and the front desk staff at that “unnamed” hotel just a few blocks away were awful and rude. It was a welcoming experience to come to this hotel and be greeted pleasantly and with a warm smile. Really appreciative of this after what was a long day of travel and confusion. Thank you, and I’d have no hesitation of recommending this hotel to my friends.
- 1/5
I paid for room almost $600 but Expedia didn’t send me breakfast.
- 5/5
Enjoy
- 5/5
It was a great location for getting to and from our event.
- 1/5
After I tried checking in early, I came back later and the hotel gave away my room. I would not trust this hotel again.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Room was immaculate with an incredible view and the staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Rooms need a renovation.
- 5/5
Everything was nice, the only thing is that there should be a little bid more personel in the lobby taking care of guess needs
- 4/5
The stay was nice however my reservation was supposed to include early chk in and out. I arrived at 230p and my room was not available. I was offered a down grade. Went to lunch returned at 430p and was told it still was not ready. Again offered to downgrade my room from a deluxe to a standard double queen. After voicing my displeasure I was then put into an available room. Why wasn't it just offered to begin with. Anyways, the rooftop bar and lounge was cool. Dj played a great variety of genre. We didn't stay late thought maybe 1030-11p. Overall it's a great location and a good price. Cheaper to self park in the garage directly across the street or use the ParkWhiz app.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice and taken care of for the price the staff and the 24/7 hotel assistance was nice and tentative. But as for the amenities there was ABSOLUTELY NO parking available or offered by hotel. Closest parking is hospital garage across the street that is 60 dollars a night no unlimited access in and out so something to keep in mind.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay; the hotel is super centrally located—everything is close by—and it is all lovely and elegant.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, I look forward to my next stay.

- 5/5
Shockingly good
- 4/5
The director and the property manager are extremely biased and I’ll just leave it there.
- 5/5
Kory checked me in and she was incredibly kind — patient, warm, and just overall amazing. Later on, when I needed to extend my stay, Raymond took care of everything quickly and with zero stress. Super helpful. The bar was another highlight. Drake, the bartender, is fantastic — friendly, attentive, and makes a great drink. He really added to the vibe. And I have to mention the owner. He was so kind and down‑to‑earth, took time to talk with me, and even gave me some great recommendations around the city. You can tell he truly cares about the guest experience. Overall, the staff, the energy, and the location made this an easy 5‑star stay. I’ll definitely be back and recommending it to friends.
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
The location was perfect for us adjacent to Northwestern Hospital. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, particularly the manager of the rooftop bar/restaurant. Lovely Spring sunset on the roof overlooking the downtown. Definitely will stay again
- 5/5
Hotel was awesome! Very clean and walkable. Rooftop bar is great too
- 5/5
The location and price were excellent
- 1.5/5
I reached out to the front desk at 6a stating my bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly last guest stuff still in bathroom. They told me take pictures and talk to Manager. Still awaiting manger to contact me days later.
- 0.5/5
The was not great at all!! The wall paper was peeling off the the wall because on water damage. I was there from 5/3-5/9 and my room was only cleaned once. I asked the day clerk on Wednesday morning if I could have my room cleaned he said no. Horrible!!!
- 4/5

- 1/5
Deberían de tener estacionamiento para los huéspedes
- 5/5
Front desk was amazing artreece
- 5/5
Good vibe. Easy check-in and out process.
- 5/5
It was a prefect location for the city cruise event! The price was on point as well!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Cool view and in a very convenient location. Lots of parking options nearby but kind of pricy. Staff were super helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
At check was told to pay an additional $450 for amenities such as water bottles, breakfast, and happy hour drinks. When reservation was made all of these amenities were included. Several guests had the same problem. I called Expedia customer service and was told to pay for the additional fees and try to get a refund afterwards which is not ideal. If you decide to stay at this hotel be prepared to pay for this all inclusive fees. Additionally the parking is about $60 per 24 hours.
- 3/5
Location was food but the hotel is old and dated. Our room was visibly dusty and dirty. When I went to the buffet to get a spoon for my room I was told a very rude "no" by the staff person. Luckily, there happened to be someone there who was meetig with the hotel INVESTORS who set the staff person straight.
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful, charming and cozy. The room was very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the rooftop bar.
- 4/5
Everything about this hotel was great except the mattress! It needs updating...not very comfortable. Location was amazing though!
- 4/5
Didn’t have toiletries on first night
- 5/5
Great staff. Great location. Great room
- 2/5
C+
- 4/5
The staff were great. Rooms were very clean but lacked in the little things like soap and a coffee maker. The room was large and comfortable. The cooling system would only keep the room at 70 degrees. The tv was slow and clunky making almost useless for entertainment. No tv guide or movie channels. The hotel is places well around shopping and restaurants near by.
- 3/5
Nice hotel but Junior Suite couch bed was very uncomfortable. Could feel the springs so we made it back into a couch and 2 of us had to sleep on it. For the price for the room, over $300. It definitely was not worth it.
- 5/5
The bar was well stocked and the bar staff was great!!
- 5/5
The location of the hotel was great. The staff was friendly, and always helpful.
- 2/5
I chose this hotel for my business stay because it offered early check-in and late checkout. I called the hotel days prior to my stay to confirm my late checkout would be available. The staff member was very cold over the phone but did confirm this for me. My early check in was granted and there was no mention of any issues from the staff or what time I need to checkout. I received a call the next day at 1:30pm that I need to be out of y room immediately. They also charged me a late checkout fee with no prior notice or warning. I should’ve listened to the reviews of this hotel. They clearly only want your money and will do anything to get you to pay more than the room price.
- 1.5/5
Valet messed up my rental car.
- 2/5
The hotel was nice. But the room the phone didn’t work and the stuff was really expensive. Everywhere we went. Also breakfast was very expensive for a hotel.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, very comfortable bed and pillow, great location, guy at front desk was very nice and friendly, would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Clean and quite. Good location. .
- 4/5
Decently clean, everything was very near by which was very convenient. Bar was nice inside.
- 3/5
There were a few other things though that were disappointing, though. The typically fitted sheet was flat (fine) but it was too small for the bed and didn't reach top to bottom so we were sleeping on the mattress cover. There was also only one roll of toilet paper stocked in the room for our two night stay, no coffee maker (even instant pouches would have been fine). There were also very slim TV channel options nd the premium ones were 'blocked or scrambled' (we were working during the day and looking to chill in the room at night). One other thing is that there is ZERO soundproofing in the hallways -- we were there while the hotel was full of College Formal attendees, and we were woken up several times through the night (we love a good party, but even when just talking normally we could hear every.single.word) into the wee hours. Overall, location is stellar, the hotel is pretty, but the amenities are slim. You shouldn't count on any extras in the room.
- 3/5
On the site it's listed that cribs are available and I also included the request with booking in the accomodations section. Upon arriving at the hotel we was told not only were there not any cribs but it was treated as if it was a weird request. The host was a younger guy (I'm 31, he was about 25) and when I asked if he could if housekeeping for a crib I was again told by him that they do not have them. Luckily a bar worker heard the convo and told him that housekeeping do have cribs. He paged housekeeping and surprise! A crib for the baby. We quickly moved on from that and I was excited to continue on with my birthday trip. Well.... Entering the room it looked clean.. But that bathroom had no toiletries. No hand soap. No q-tips or shower caps. The following day the room was not tended to. All bath towels that I neatly put in a pile for housekeeping remained there. No fresh towels. No fresh linen for the bed. No new bag for ice. Still no hand soap (that I requested the night before and never received). I truly was expecting more from this hotel.
- 5/5
Definitely would go back, only thing they take too long to refund your deposit.
- 5/5
The staff and hotel itself is really nice, I just dont think paying extra for the drink, lunch and dinner coupon was worth it
- 5/5
Great location and property
- 3/5
I thank them for giving us a bigger room when they messed up on our reservation they had a live band downstairs if you want to go downstairs and chill It was quiet upstairs couldn't hear other people and to the mornings they start slamming doors but other than that It was nice me and my kids enjoyed and my husband
- 5/5
The room was very clean. Hotel staff were very polite. My next trip to Northwestern I will use again!

This a great location. The price was well below others in the area. The Skyview lounge was excellent!

Excelente services!!!

Terribly loud music played all night and the staff would do nothing about it. Music was blaring all night and we were not offered a solution. Very disappointing.
- 5/5
Great guest services, valet services was amazing I forgot the gentleman name he was awesome help…breakfast was a little cold but the flavor was amazing
- 5/5
Very nice property, good walking distance to everything I needed, and nice views from room
- 5/5
good city view
- 5/5
It was in a great location near everything.
- 4/5
Excellent location for exploring the city
- 5/5
Great hotel! Good location near Mag Mile and the room was VERY clean. Would book here again.
- 3/5
It was a tough weekend for the hotel staff and its guests. I will say the good parts- location is great. We enjoyed restaurants need by- Gotham Bagels and Gino’s East. The price was great but just remember, you get what you paid for.
- 5/5
The check in process was very quick and easy and the room was also very nice and clean
- 5/5
My family and I enjoyed our first trip to Chicago the hotel was clean and the atmosphere was great
- 4/5
The ice machine being only on 2 floor is inconvenient. Overall the hotel was a nice option for the price. The workout room was a positive
- 4/5
We waited for almost 15 minutes to get on an elevator to go downstairs to check out. There were moments where we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes our entire stay just to get on an elevator.
- 4/5
Needed to reset the temperature in the room a few times . Other than that everything was
- 4/5
The only minor thing that was bothersome was the air con was not cooling the room. The thermostat was set to 68⁰ but the room was almost 80⁰. Other than that, overall it was a great experience. Will definitely return.
- 5/5
Great location really close to Michigan Ave. Great rooftop bar. Breakfast buffet has a lot of selections.

Was iffy about this place but great staff, bar was more than expected . Clean and overall great location! I stayed 24hrs -knocked out everything I wanted by walking . food, bars, activities and the pier.

I had a three day stay here. At check-in, the staff was perfunctory. I woke up the next morning to find no hot water in the sink OR shower. The front desk staff was unhelpful. After using towels to give myself a cold sponge bath, I left for an all-day meeting, asking for the water to be fixed and for fresh towels. I returned at 6 p.m. to find hot water but no towels. I was told there was no room service at that hour and that I could come downstairs to get fresh towels if I wanted them. The front desk person didn’t say she was sorry or thank me for my patience when I did. She didn’t even make eye contact or speak with me. The room fridge was missing a leg, the shower conditioner pump didn’t work, the bed was rock hard, the towels were threadbare, the blanket was old and tired. The manager did not return my call or email. I tipped the housekeeper when I left…but I was extremely disappointed. Do NOT be misled by the “Magnificent Mile” appellation. With decor being original from 1980, this hotel and its poor service, tired, and rundown appearance is not worth it.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable beds/rooms. Didn’t try the breakfast but the bar was well stocked. Already planning a trip back.
- 5/5
The room was great and the staff was very good. I liked the location a lot because it was only a block away from Michigan Avenue
- 3/5
It was ok, you get basic room unless you oay $50 extra a night for coupons and a bag of water.
- 5/5
From the time I arrived I was nothing but amazed Everyone was so very attentive and very accepting whatever I needed even though I traveled with my children they still very much made all of us feel important and that we mattered my daughter will be graduating and I can’t wait til I’m able to go back and enjoy ourselves again they made it where it was family oriented but still made it where you could still have your Adult time as well very clean and Great Area they definitely get all 10’s you definitely wanna make this hotel a must try if you coming or live in the Chicago area
- 3.5/5
The neoghboors were too noisy i had to open the door and ask them 3 times to lower their volume at 330 am
- 5/5
Nice area for everything’s
- 4/5
The prices for the drinks at the bar was too high.
- 3/5
I love how there are so many restaurants in walking distance, including activities like 360 Chicago. Other than that, this hotel was not what I expected and the way the pictures online is set up of the rooftop bar and restaurant is very much so false advertisement. It’s highly overrated to me. I think it’s mainly for young people. But all in all the staff was nice and everything was pleasant.
- 2/5
Great location, great hotel bar, horrible hotel reception worst experience so far. Room smelled like sewer but was clean.
- 5/5
What a great stay right downtown. In town for a Hawks game and saw the price with the amenities given and couldn’t pass it up. We only used our free drink tickets. Bar downstairs was nice. Only checked out the rooftop bar quick cause it was raining. The biggest rooms in Chicago as well! Looked like there was a spring formal the night we stayed so the elevator was very busy in the morning. Overall couldn’t be happier a block away from the magnificent mile for that great of a price
- 4/5
Tip-be certain to include the upgrade for drinks/breakfast offered by hotels.com before you check out-several travelers were upset to find out that the “upgrade” is not optional, but required. The cost was steep at the check in counter. Otherwise the hotel is ideally located and offers lots of great amenities. The beds and showers were ok, not great, but overall the stay was comfortable and convenient
- 5/5
Early check in was a major plus. A hidden gem in Chicago
- 1/5
Staff and pricing were a problem.
- 3/5
The property need updating. The room is clean and spacious, but the hotel needs updating. The price does not include a daily maid service. There are no robes. No complimentary water. The TV has limited viewing options. The hotel is marketed as luxury but there is no actual luxury aspect. The location is 100/100 though. A quick walk to mag mile.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious, the staff was flexible, supportive understanding our request
- 5/5
Nice experience
- 2/5
Fridge was broken. Requested microwave via text before arrival, maintenance brought us one and informed us we were put in the wrong room. Brought us a new fridge but said to just put a small amount in the mini fridge and it will work. So we put one pack of hotdogs and homemade lunchables. We woke up to a wet carpet and spoiled dinners! I had to clean it up! No offer for free meals at the diner after this!Vent in our room was packed full of dust !I emailed the property as soon as I reserved a room letting them know I have a service dog, the breed and size as well as informing them that she would be with me at all times, never left unattended in the room. When checking into the hotel the front desk lady tried to charge me for a dog fee. I informed her (along with our dogs vest and documents (and I legally do not have to do that) that they can not charge for service and that I emailed them prior to arrival . She said she would look on the computer and informed me that I did not let them know. I pulled up the contact direct with the hotel and showed her that o most certainly did. She rolled her eyes and said “you didn’t but I will put it in the system for you now!” Breakfast is not for everyone in the room and it is not a buffet. They give you 2 cards for each morning (scribbled out in black sharpie the word buffet right in front of us) then informed us if the other 2 paying adults in the room want breakfast or would be $30.00 each! Free drink not available until 7:00pm

- 3/5
There were things I liked about this hotel and things I did not like. It was a good location. We got a nice deal through hotels.com. and overall I would stay there again. However their staff are not all up to speed. I called the hotel before I booked and then I called about a week before our arrival to double-check on a couple of things and without getting into all the details, we were misinformed about some of the benefits that I had with the VIP package. And one of the things that happened because of the misinformation was that we did not get to have Easter brunch. That really sucked! I actually feel like the hotel kind of owes us because of that debacle and getting different information from different staff people and then not getting the brunch. Extremely disappointing. I ended up not eating until I got back gome at 4:30 that afternoon.
- 5/5
Very clean room
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!!
- 0.5/5
The staff up thru management were uncommunicative and just outright horrible. They abuse their titles to process unauthorized transactions on your credit card on file without a mention. I was discriminated against by staff
- 3/5
It was busy at breakfast time but after half hour and flagging waiter down he still wouldn’t come over. I talked with management but they wouldn’t give any vouchers or anything since we had to leave to get to hospital.
- 5/5
It was a great stay and good getaway
- 5/5
Bar was stocked up & clean
- 5/5
great location! love the ambiance and that rooftop!

I just wanted to write this to make everyone aware of unknown fees if you book through a third party. We booked this hotel months ago here through Hotels.com. We paid $252 for four nights. We arrived at the hotel and the hotel wanted an extra $145 per day as a form of resort fee. I went back and looked at our confirmation and the only mention of an additional fee was a $120 deposit. When I asked what the fee was for, the response was, "Two free drinks, a voucher for $10 off dinner and a free breakfast". I ended up on the phone with Hotels.com who reviewed their agreement and there wasn't any mention of this either. Hotels.com ended up refunding our $252 and we went around the corner and stayed at the Allerton, which was MUCH nicer.

Another room playing loud music and yelling at midnight -2 am.
- 4/5
Yes,everything was clean spotless
- 1/5
Buried in the fine print of the reservation agreement, they have a surcharge that varies by day. I was given an estimate, but the actual charge was over 4x the estimate. The surcharge ended up being more than the rest of the hotel reservation. They should be upfront about their prices, because otherwise it was a decent hotel. Expedia should not give a platform to any hotel that is not up front about its pricing.
- 5/5
The room was amazing… my fiance and I stayed here for Valentines weekend. We were offered a drink package coupons for the restaurant and we had a wonderful view on the 27 floor.

Clean and spacious room. Enjoyed the rooftop bar.

Valet took forever to park my vehicle, had it sitting in front of hotel for majority of the day I checked in, and when finally parked in a garage I get notification from my phone that the valet didn't even lock my car. So I had to lock it on my end. $75 for this type of service is ridiculous?! As I asked the hotel worker about it at the front desk he was very rude and inconsiderate and just brushed me off telling me he couldn't do anything about it. I asked to speak to a manager but wasn't in so I got his card and will be reaching out to him regarding the inconveniences during my stay here. Wouldn't stay here again.

Water stains on the ceiling, Room was very cold when we enter. (0 degrees outside and they didn't have the heat on in the room, took the room 2hrs to warm up)

The tv didn’t allow you to watch any movies or shows.

Everything was good.

Everything was awesome. My first experience at this hotel. The staff was courteous, the breakfast was delicious, and we slept good. It was our wedding Anniversary. I have no complaints. Thank you for a great stay.

The wallpaper was peeling off the wall, the sink faucet was loose and the bed was made without fitted sheets and you could feel the mattress pad with your feet. I had to get out of bed and try and pull the sheets down enough to cover the mattress pad.
- 5/5
Clean room! Good eats and strong drinks at the bar!!! Don’t expect nothing less in downtown Chicago… friendly staff and cool lobby music vibes!!! I enjoyed my stay
- 3/5
Service was great !! We were not informed that we could not access the roof top at all any day we were there without a fee and would have been great to know that because that’s the reason we chose this hotel .
- 5/5
Great location for a great price!

The room was bigger than I expected and very clean
- 4/5
The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. Only minor issues were that the room door had obviously been kicked in before (which didn’t instill a lot of confidence) and they had no hot water on the evening of NYE, when it was crazy cold outside. They did, however, get it fixed by morning,so not that big of a deal. Breakfast buffet was decent too.
- 5/5
Habitación limpia y espaciosa

This experience has been extremely frustrating. I am still waiting for my **refund**, which should have been handled properly from the start. I would not recommend staying here—they lack transparency and can’t even be honest about their own billing.
- 1/5
shower was not working and no water until midnight

Clean rooms. Great amenities. Great price.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay. Restaurant was not the best but it is a roof top restaurant in December, we had to eat at the bar. The dish we got was kind of ordinary though. Better to go out and find a nice place to eat.

The room was spacious and clean and it was a good value.

We only stayed one night but It was definitely a vibe! The room was very nice! The ambiance of the hotel is amazing! The rooftop bar was everything! The DJ found all our 90’s music! The bartender was super attentive! The location was steps away from The Mag Mile! The staff were super nice! We will be booking again l!
- 2/5
I was charged an extra amount (more than the original that I paid) upon arrival and I’m not even sure what for but I needed a place to stay. They blamed Expedia for the miscommunication but I reached out to Expedia confirming things prior to my trip about an email I received about a rising price from the hotel and was told I will not upcharged, yet still was. I honestly don’t recommend. The elevator was also broken and it took up to 10+ mins just to get one sometimes.
- 5/5
Yes- got a free upgrade and early check in from Raymond.... Everyone loves Raymond!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly , The rooms were clean and the buffet breakfast was great !!
- 3/5
Only one elevator 29floors no attempt to have it fixed til the weekend is over. 20min wait times and we were on the 25th floor. No compensation in any way
- 5/5
Excellent service staff, clean room, roofftop bar, everything was excellent
- 4/5
Loved the location and staff. Loved the step down in the room. Everything was amazing except the bed. It dipped a lot and was not comfortable.
- 3/5
The elevators were absolutely terrible. Everyone waited for 10+ minutes everytime you wanted to use them. One out of order. The buffet was also average and food quality was not there.

The smell of the lobby always makes me feel so comfortable. I like the rooms and friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean & comfy room.
- 3/5
Staff were courteous. Rooms are dated, but clean. No fitted sheet on the bed, so bottom sheet of the bed easily became loose. Old smell in hallways
- 5/5
Great deal on the mile. Ours came with two drinks, $10 dining credit and an actual buffet breakfast
- 3/5
Well I decided to stay there because I had out patient surgery at Northwestern Hospital nearby and had an appointment the next morning. But honestly I was a little disappointed for a number reasons. First the hotel lobby restaurant was closed. However the restaurant on the 29th floor was good and the bartender was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating! The room’s electrical outlets by the bed were next to impossible to access, so I had to charge my phone across the room which was inconvenient. Lastly there were no vending machines where you could by a late night snack, and there was no one manning the front desk. Not very professional.
- 4/5
The room was clean, and spacious. The shower was REALLY big for some reason. Rooms AC/Heat worked properly and had no issues with any of the facilities. The staff was MORE than friendly and helpful. There were only a few things that were a little off. You do have to valet your car. It took a decent amount of time. Wish it would have been faster. We did run out of TP towards the last day (4 day stay). And there were fees that I had to learn about not during the purchasing process. Which was tough, but luckily I found out before hand and was prepared for when we got there.

Everything was great! The only issue for me was the carpet in the room, not that it was a problem but it seemed to be old and should be replaced with tile or something else.
- 5/5
Gentlemen was delightful on the front desk.
- 5/5
Loved our room and the rooftop bar!
- 5/5
I liked the bar quite a bit. Their cocktails are not too expensive either. My room was beautiful, fresh linen and room refresh every morning. The breakfast was pretty good, love the chicken sausages. And all the staff was generous.
- 1/5
They charge you one price on Hotels.com then they make you pay another 100 a night when you check in.
- 0.5/5
The hidden fee of $150 your not told about till check in. Customer service was terrible.

Great location and amenity
- 5/5
We were so happy at the hotel. It was so convenient to walk to downtown. The staff were so friendly at all times. I will come back again next time! Chicago is such a nice city!
- 4/5
Hotel has a great location, and the staff was very welcoming. Jorge the bartender was great. We did not have any "do not disturb" to put on our door. Service came in which was ok, but we had no soap in our bathroom, and they still did not fill. Vanity was super small and hard to get ready, as there was really nowhere to put things. Besides that, everything was good. just a little note. The room was spacious, clean, gave us water, and breakfast was great. Would 100% stay again!!
- 5/5
This location is very convenient to shops, dining and the trains. The rooms were spacious, quiet and clean. The complimentary bottles of water, rooftop bar, and breakfast buffet was a very nice touch.
- 0.5/5
I was charged $140 for a daily guest package. This was not disclosed on the confirmation. Please refund $140
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Excellent service.
- 3/5
Overall the property is good. Unfortunately, the staff at check in were unbelievably rude. There were several extra “fees” that were charged at check-in that were not disclosed by Expedia. The hotel staff blamed Expedia for displaying the wrong property fee. Also, this is one of the only hotels in Chicago where you don’t need a key to go up the elevator which made me a little uncomfortable. The hotel, otherwise is clean and perfectly located. Just be careful with all the hidden fees you’ll be charged with at check-in.
- 1/5
Do not book here unless you want to pay a ton of hidden fees. Check google reviews if you don’t believe me.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable hotel with a pleasant ambiance. Polite and friendly staff. Room was clean and cozy. Rooftop bar provides nice views of the city
- 5/5
Everything was great. Had an issue with my reservation at first but the front desk attendant was super helpful and so nice. The food and drink vouchers were a new experience for me and i would definitely come back for overall experience.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and service, very big and comfortable rooms, and great location.
- 5/5
conviniently located at the shopping district.
- 2/5
The room was lovely and clean and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the location was very convenient. However, the front desk staff was less than pleasant, especially upon check in when springing the hidden fees upon me, which are not disclosed on Expedia. Bookers beware that you will be hit with mandatory hidden fees when checking in that will be presented to you as if they are the refundable hold fee all hotels charge, when in reality it’s an “all inclusive resort fee” thing and then you’re hit with the refundable fee on top of that.

My friends and I took a girls trip for one day. Our stay was great and Kori at the Front desk was awesome. She made sure that it was an enjoyable evening with friends. We all agreed that we would defiantly come back!

Staff were excellent. Rooms were roomy and clean.
- 4/5
The hidden fees whether hooking through a 3rd party or not is ridiculous, and dishonest. It was an expense I was not ready for.

very clean, polite and friendly front desk, fresh water

The drinks and food options were amazing. The beds were the best I have ever used!
- 0.5/5
The hotel used a pricing system that deceives customers. They advertise a room rate that fails to disclose a mandatory coupon purchase requirement and other fees that double the cost. These are deceptive trade practices and unethical. Avoid this hotel.

People from front desk talking too loud on the phone, disturbing, therefore, customers at front desk.

Why wasn’t the downstairs bar open on Tuesday and wed ? We went told that housekeeper doesn’t attend every day . The breakfast cooked items were cold at 8 am I did mention to the staff . The restaurant options were limited. Overall I wouldn’t recommend
- 5/5
Thank you so much!!
- 5/5
Nice!
- 4/5
The rugs were really worn and looked dirty. The bathrooms was very nice. Beds were really too soft. We were suppose to have a city view but our window just was back alley of two buildings. The staff at the front desk told us we’re could get something yo eat up until 11 but the kitchen close at 10;45. We couldn’t use our $10 credit nor our drink tickets, No coffee in the rooms but breakfast was very good.

We were there for chicago marathon. Perfect location. safe, walkable to millennium park and other attractions.

Had a problem with the women's rest room outside of the breakfast buffet. I told one of the employees about it and he said I just should have used my strength to open the door. Did not offer to help me.
- 4/5
Very good for the price. Breakfast buffet included as well as $10 off dinner and a few free drinks. Location was perfect for my needs. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Doors are loud when being shut, waking me at times but overall a good experience!

Warning: I booked this hotel via Hotels.com and prepaid the cost which was verified on my Hotels .com receipt but when I checked in they had "mandatory fees: that were greater than the cost of the room per night. I explained that Hotels.com said all taxes and fees were included but it didn't matter--the hotel price doubled, The mandatory fees cover water bottles (6) , a drink coupon and (not free just discounted) dinner coupon and breakfast which was served a little too late for me to catch my flight since I left at 7:30a. I couldn't tell based on booking with Hotels.com that I would owe another additional 140 dollars at check-in after paying that amount already -
- 5/5
The hotel was great. The breakfast had good variety and the daily drinks at the lobby bar was a nice surprise.
- 2/5
What was offered online was not what was honored once checked in

There were giant cockroaches running all over the lobby and bathrooms. I’m sure if they are in those spaces they are definitely in the rooms too! Do not recommend this hotel unless you like hanging out with roaches.

The front desk and bar staff were friendly and welcoming! The room was clean and comfortable.

BEWARE! This is an ALL-INCLUSIVE hotel and is NOT sold as such through Expedia. No where did the description state that an ADDITIONAL MANDATORY $140/night is required prior to check-in. We arrived at 3pm and were told about the MANDATORY fee when checking in. We stated that the reservation through Expedia does not mention any additional fees and all they had to say was; “ Expedia sells your reservation to a 4th party Hotels.something or other” and it’s stated on their site and they are not responsible for how Expedia advertises. We didn’t have the option of finding another hotel because we were scheduled for a rehearsal dinner at 6pm and wanted to relax after our flight from CA and wash up. We paid the additional $422 for 3 nights and called Expedia customer service to inform them of what occurred. I am SO grateful I got a WONDERFUL representative by the name of DAWN, who listened, investigated, and refunded us the entire amount immediately bc she also noted that no where in the description was the mandatory fee included. So, just be aware.
- 5/5
A tote of water bottles upon arrival. Drink and breakfast tickets included with stay. Loved the little extras!
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
It was way to cold other then that everything was good
- 3/5
Mandatory guest amenities charges of over $110 per day were required upon check in. Many guests including foreign tourists were compelled to spend additional amenities charges due to lack of proper communication between the travel agents and the hotel management.
- 4/5
Prime location and very walkable. Great staff and spacious rooms.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was extremely accommodating.
- 1/5
There were hidden fees when we got to the hotel. Seems like false advertising to me. Thought about contacting an attorney to see if hotels can do this
- 1/5
Total scam. Got there and there were hidden fees. When I purchased the a room with all fees and tax included!
- 5/5
I was blown away with how beautiful the hotel was from the outside looking in. I could not believe that the room came with two free drinks a $10 dinner credit and free breakfast in the morning. I was also handed a bag with six bottles of water for my stay. When I walked in my room, it was a high-level room looking at the John Hancock building on the 26th floor. I snag this room last minute at a discounted rate and I would like to try to stay at this hotel every time five stars!
- 5/5
I loved the location. Very close to fine food, entertain and attractions. Everything was a walkable distance. Definitely would stay there again.
- 2/5
The lady at the desk during the check-in on September 21 in the morning was very unprofessional and rude. “It’s not my problem if Expedia doesn’t inform you about the resort fee” so… take it, or leave. During my time visiting many cities I never had a staff so disrespectful and unfriendly… I would never come back to this hotel again… I do not recommend!!! For Expedia: if the hotel has resort fee, INFORM YOUR CLIENTS!!! Because we are your clients booking through your website, and we trust our time and money and after be scammed
- 5/5
Una excelente experiencia

The person I spoke to on the phone was polite and helpful and I actually didn't end up staying there but I'm posting this review because the total price quoted on Expedia did not include their absurdly overpriced $140 "mandatory resort fee". As a solo traveler, I had zero interest in "the breakfast buffet for two" or "dinner tickets". I appreciate the person on the phone from the hotel warning me about this but subsequently both Expedia and hotel management were not helpful in resolving this issue (waiving the fee or providing me with a refund). Buyer beware - watch out for hidden fees and lack of price transparency if you are booking this place.

Hotel is very nice . Clean and well maintained. However there was a non disclosed 150 dollar fee at check in . Expedia states 25 but the hotel charged 150 . Basically tripled the price of the room . Beware what looks like a bargain isn’t . On checkin was given a set of key cards that did not work . Returned to desk and got new ones , was given keys to someone else’s room . Returned again to desk for a different room . Room was clean and very comfortable overall . The additional fee left a bad taste in my mouth for Expedia and the hotel

Overall good experience. Room was okay. was nervous about unexpected charges that some people have complained but didn’t end up getting any surprise charges.

Really enjoyed the perks, free drink tickets for two, free breakfast buffet for two. $10 credit for restaurant. Made it convenient and easy

Tacky is how I’d describe this hotel. Surprisingly I stayed here a few years ago and it was ok, not menoranle yet not over the top bad as now I’ll go in order. 1. High extra fees. Compensated by drinks and food Both turned out bad experiences. I don’t want your drink or food , I’d rather have no extra fee surprises and my extra Pennes! 1. I was curtly told there is no hot tea or coffe until 5:30 am. ..the girl guarded the tea area , really ??? I had to walk down the street to buy tea..what thd extra fee for? I don’t need a bar drink, simply thd normal courtesy if a simple tea bag and hot water. Why am lugging complimentary bottle water up a slow elevator when they could keep fresh in Lobbh ax normal hotels do 2 Fitness center - no exercise mats 3 room. It’s eclectic - funky - I get that I understand …but old 80’d curtains and chair fabric are not funky - they are ugly and make no design sense at all Seems ref are trying to use eclectic to incorporate either old or maybe cheaper accessories. -if dampens and detracts from a room that could be nice Bed. Really! They put a not fitted sheet, blanket , then sheet stack and tightly tightly tucked it in. No fitted sheet. So right that I could not free blanket without undoing odd non fitted sheet on bottom and exposing the icky plastic pad. Very weird way to make a bed Bed was bad. Bad. Huge sink hole in center. My first ever all around bad bec experience.

Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, no plastic silverware 👍

Door safety lock was broken, things were shabby throughout. Plus the hidden fees are ridiculous. We paid them but ended up for total price I could have picked a better product. I don’t recommend this property.

Watch out! This hotel is very deceitful. They have all these hidden fees that they don't tell you about until you arrive. We had over $150 in hidden fees that were not listed. When confronted at the front desk, the front desk person said that those fees those fees were true and correct. As I checked in, two other couples were also checking in. They were also confronted with those surprise fees. Everybody was pretty upset in the lobby.
- 1/5
We were charged an additional fee of $105 per day plus tax. We were told it was mandatory in order to check in. The front desk also told us to request a refund from hotels.com. When we did that, the hotel said it was a benefit package. It was never presented as an option. We were basically told to pay it or not check in.

We did not receive maid service for the the 2 nights that we stayed.

The ‘all inclusive’ is NOT worth it! The price per person breakfast is on par with that of a Holiday Inn. Actually you get to make your own warm waffles at the Holiday Inn which makes it better. The hotel itself is in a good location, walking distance to downtown. Within the hotel walls however it is loud! If your floor mate closes their door, you’re gonna hear it. Room was clean. They do provide a bag with several bottles of water which is nice. Good bagel place next door but the pizza place is just alright.

Amazing stay! Staff was helpful!
- 5/5
Great view from the room. Staff was on point. And the bar was a nice treat. Then the rooftop was even another bonus. Loved the property.
- 1/5
The hotel was very nice BUT! When we checked in we were told we had a balance of $422. We booked a package through Travelocity. In the final fine print, we were aware that there would be a $125 deposit due (separate from the $422). The charge was apparently for the all inclusive package, which was never in the original package, nor did we want it. The shift manager said that we would have to contact Travelocity because they booked it that way. After 2 hours on the phone, we got nowhere. We had to pay if we wanted to stay. Both the hotel and Travelocity knew about this legal scam and both admitted it to me. Done with Travelocity

This property is in a great location, a block away from Michigan Av. The hotel is generous with providing a nice buffet breakfast and drink tickets at the bar. The rooms and the carpeting in the halls are a little dated, dingy, but it didn't dampen the overall experience.
- 4/5
Clean room. The staff was friendly and helped to explain the extra charges that Hotels.com did not. Good location, close to walking distance on Mag Mile.
- 4/5
Otherwise, the room was lovely, clean and quiet.
- 1/5
The hotel is great, however the mandatory additional $140 on top of my purchase from Expedia was not. We had no choice to pay it unless we wanted to forfeit our room and what I had prepaid on Expedia which I was expecting that to be the full price.
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff, enjoyed the breakfast daily and the free drinks at happy hour.
- 4/5
When checking in to hotel, I was told that that there will be no housekeeping service for a 3-night stay until the guest is checked out is a bad policy. At a minimum, cleaning should be performed at least every other night. A guest should not have to ask for towels or take out the trash, it should be part of your stay.
- 4/5
The room was a little outdated, the AC wasn’t adjustable, and our toilet didn’t work very well our toilet was fixed fairly quickly after letting the front receptionist know. The views from our room/rooftop were beautiful! The location of the hotel was perfect and close to local tourist attractions! Can’t wait to book again in the future.

This hotel is a scam. We reserved at one price and when we arrived to the hotel they wanted to charge an extra $560. Come to find out while we were there that we weren’t the only ones they scammed.

Room was perfect for a one night stay. Staff was friendly. We enjoyed our cocktail and actually had dinner there. We ordered pizza, burger and empanadas, it was all very well made and tasty. The food prices were great.
- 5/5
HOWEVER! be warned of the resort fee! Its $100 a night or something like that. BUT! It is a really well located. As far as comfort... everytime we used the shower, there would be a very high pitched squealing coming from the shower head. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything... including in the bathroom, you can hear and smell everything. There was no extractor in the bathroom and the smell would linger in the whole bedroom for a long time. We weren't given a "don't disturb" sign, you might want to ask for one.

For travelers coming for business or academic purposes, the so-called “package” is not useful. It mainly consisted of drink and dining vouchers with restrictions. Hotel conditions were below expectation: Facilities are dated, with carpets appearing worn and uncertain cleanliness. Bathroom sink drained very slowly. No housekeeping or room service during my 4-night stay. This practice of concealing mandatory fees creates unnecessary stress and wastes valuable time upon check-in. I strongly recommend Expedia review this property’s listing for transparency. Travelers should be fully informed of the total cost before booking.

Kory at the reception was very friendly and helpful! Thank you
- 3/5
Staff were dismissive during check-in; for the price, the rooms were no better than a Holiday Inn. The filter in our a/c unit was nasty and hadn't been changed. The mandatory $95 guest pass was completely unnecessary and just poaching for what you got. The breakfast was a Sysco affair, and the drinks at the bar were very limited under the pass. I wish I had gone to another hotel and will not be coming back to this one.

The rooms are clean and comfortable with welcoming staff. All the staff were very nice but Austin the bartender was outstandingly amazing. Every chance Austin got he reminded my fiancé that it was her birthday. Austin is super friendly and very informative, as he was delivering superb service he was seamlessly training another bartender at the same time with no interference. Austin from one major city to another, we send our thank you from DC all the way to Chicago keep up the wonderful work. We will be back Chicago, we will be back.

• Deposit: USD 125.00 per accommodation, per stay “We have included all charges provided to us by the property.” Which is not accurate as the hotel hold you as a hostage. The Amenity Package is almost as costly as the nightly lodging charge. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive when questioned about this. Would NEVER recommend this hotel or the hotel group again.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. They will hand you a list fees upon arrival that are more than the actual reservation stay. Thank God for Expedia being a reputable company - they saved me. This hotel establishment is deceptive and awful, and unresponsive. The clerk checking us in was rude and heartless. I have never experienced service so poor in downtown Chicago. The city should shut them down.
- 3/5
This hotel would be so much better if it wasn’t understaffed. I had to wait at least 10 minutes any time I needed something at the front desk and they rarely answered the phone. Extremely frustrating. Valet was also super slow and the front desk had to call someone every time you dropped off or picked up a car. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.
- 1/5
Hidden fees is RIDICULOUSLY more than the hotel room ..
- 3/5
Be aware there is a additional 140 per night fee that wasnt disclosed through Expedia. The staff is rude and not friendly.

Like: room well-insulated, nice bar, great rooftop terrace, convenient location. Dislike: dinner buffet, worn-out lamps & furniture & carpeting in rooms.
- 1/5
I did not even check in. When asked for deposit, I was also asked to pay the $140 "resort fee" . I was unaware of this expense. The ladies at the desk were very rude when asked if I could waive fee as I was unaware. Their response was "3rd party reservation, talk with them" very unprofessional front desk help at the time I arrived there.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the bar area and room design. I also appreciated the vintage decor throughout the place. Although the room was clean I didn’t appreciate the smell of my room. It smelled like a geriatrics activity room.

Everything is good
- 4/5
We liked everything, the service, the view, the territory. But there was one minus - it was difficult to wait for the elevator in the morning to go down for breakfast, and to check out in the morning. We went down the stairs several times.
- 2/5
Wear & tear of the room- wood surfaces need polishing- deeply scratched. Curtains torn & falling off of hooks on the window. Breakfast was mediocre, dining room had zero ambience- it was a carpeted, fluorescent-lighted, corporate meeting-style cafeteria.
- 1.5/5
The surprise of an additional $140.00!!! Plus a credit check deposit of $125.00! Leaving me with no money for the weekend at my stay in Chicago.

The entire process was a hassle from original booking to final vehicle pick up. I booked 2 rooms, one for us and one for a friend. I was charged an arbitrary just over half at original booking with the remaining balance due at check in. I was hounded multiple times to check in early online and went through the process which included taking a photo of drivers license, answering multiple questions and taking a selfie. Upon arrival, the valet attendant had no clue how to explain what to do with our car while we were parked out front. The man at check in wasn’t much help either. After quite a bit of confusion and back and forth, I finally just decided to leave the car parked out front and just check in. Check in involved providing a copy of drivers license and a paper version of the form asking for answers to the questions I already completed digitally. Additionally, the ‘free’ drink and breakfast vouchers were separate fee that, while equaled the total of the room charge, felt off since they should have been included in the total fee. The incidental deposit also had to be run as a separate transaction, requiring tapping the credit card twice. Our room smelled like garbage and the floor was wet.

Hotel was overbooked and I wasn’t offered any compensation at all. To make it worse, it was Saturday night around 10PM and I couldn’t find a room any place. I ended up walking the streets endlessly. There was no manager on duty for me to speak with either. The check-in desk was located within the bar and lounge. The music was liking which would have been fine on its own but the staff and I could hardly communicate.

The bathroom had mold in it. The room was stinky. The breakfast staff were so kind. The property is over priced, even for the location.

Thank you all staff very friendly and professional
- 2/5
While the breakfast was good and complimentary bottles of water were provided daily, the positives ended there. The room itself was extremely old and worn out. Housekeeping only came once every three days, which was far from ideal. It was so dirty in our bathroom by day 3 and no garbage removal... To top it off, when we ordered a cocktail at the bar, the ice had a distinctly unpleasant taste. Overall, the prime location was what saved our stay, but everything else fell short.

The staff was very helpful
- 4/5
The hotel was very focused on service and quality of stay, asking for feedback through text and email even during the stay. And for the most part, we enjoyed the convenient location and sleek style of the hotel. I will say that the beds were real firm which I don't find comfortable but to each their own. The only off putting moment was when the man at the front desk told me if I smiled more he'd get me checked in early. That didn't feel great.
- 4/5
We don't travel much and we do not stay in hotels much, especially not in major cities - typically no need so we are not accustomed to expenses like parking. The room rate was acceptable for the location. Parking was not my favorite ($75 per day for valet - come and go parking) -. or $58 or across the street. Wish I had shopped that, but the location was wonderful for our brief needs. Only two complaints about our stay. The inside of the bathroom door edge near the handle had crime on it which leaves one wondering how clean is the rest? Most importantly, the hot water did not work. An engineer came to resolve it. We didn't know we should run the shower and then flush the toilet to get the water temp mixture correct. Not his fault but that seems like an important design failure. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was courteous, we walked the neighborhood that night and next morning.

The breakfast was quite nice.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean and such friendly helpful staff. Def recommend!
- 2/5
Beware…If the price on hotels.com says $250 a night, the hotel adds on a bunch of additional fees that you pay when you arrive. In the end I paid closer to $400 a night. Read the fine print because you WILL pay more than expected. Turns a fun, moderately priced weekend into an overpriced fiasco. Not worth the price and will never stay there again.
- 5/5
Smooth check in, loved the room. I will definitely come back.
- 3/5
Overall, I was satisfied with the property. What I liked the most is the location. They do not clean the room on a daily basis if you're staying multiple days which was fine with me. We were on the 22nd floor but unfortunately our view was blocked by other buildings. My reservation inclued free breakfast buffett and free drink tickets. Not everybody got those, it depended on the reservation. i didn't use the drink tickets but did take advantage of the breakfast buffet which was pretty good.I thought I was going to pay $159 a night but it ended up being a little over $250 with fees that did not include $75 per night for valet. i just needed a place to park the car and yeah, everywhere I could find was very expensive. If you reserve your room through expedia, be prepared for extra fees.
- 3/5
Everything else was just OK, and certainly didn't justify the $450 price tag when all fees were actually included. Location was good, accomodations were a bit rough around the edges.
- 3/5
This hotel is in a convenient and walkable area of Chicago and it was very easy to get a cab. The room was clean and modern. But we weren’t really happy with our overall experience. We arrived early before our room was ready. The hotel staff said they would call me when our room was ready but they never did. I had a presentation to give and needed to use their business center because my room wasn’t ready. Totally understandable. However, the business center was a closet type room that would only fit one person. Thankfully it was available. When I went back to the desk and asked to check in, I was informed their was an additional $215 charge that was for 6 bottles of water, use of wifi and the gym. It was not optional. I felt that truly unfair. I didn’t need the wifi and had no want to use the gym. It was ridiculous. And then we found out they didn’t even clean rooms on a daily basis. It we wanted our trash removed, it would be an extra charge. So we had to sit with empty food containers from our takeout in our room all weekend. I will say the beds were comfy by the room was hot. The air was set to 75 and you weren’t allowed to adjust it. We will not be going back there for our next trip to Chicago.
- 3/5
Hotel near MagMile was ok HOWEVER the staff never responded to any expedia messages and early check in was a complete waste of time. I checked in through expedia and via a text from their hotel all for nothing 12 hours before other then to be charged twice for the security deposit. Room was not available when we arrived at 1pm. We left to eat and shop and never received any response through expedia and never received a text to the cell phone # i left at check in. I called from restaurant and was told they were behind and room probably not ready till 5pm. We returned at 4pm and sat in the lobby waiting for our room to be available. My daughter closed her eyes at one point and a staff member woke her up with a pillow telling her "dis is a hotel, you cant sleep here" I didn't see this interaction because i was at the front desk asking AGAIN if my room was ready and probably would have strangled the rude foreigner. This idiot should be fired immediately and has no reason to be working at a hotel or speaking to customers on vacation. IF WE HAD OUR ROOM WE WOULDNT HAVE TO SIT IN THE LOBBY WITH OUR LUGGAGE AND CLOSE OUR EYES WAITING FOR THE HOTEL TO CLEAN THE ROOM WE PAID FOR!!! Ive stayed in Chicago over a hundred times throughout my life and this was the single worst experience by far for myself and my children. I would not recommend staying at this hotel that clearly does not appreciate your business or know how to accommodate it's guests properly. So many other options.
- 5/5
One of the most dog friendly hotels we stayed at on our cross country trip! This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and will stay again the next time we’re in Chicago. Even with the required $100+ resort fee added to our nightly stay (Which includes a breakfast buffet, cocktail vouchers and dinner discount per person) it was still less than competing hotels near the magnificent mile downtown. We appreciated the welcome bag with 6 bottles of water at check in as well! Very spacious rooms with great views! Note: For my fellow exhibitionist, you’ll enjoy the view and GIANT window right in front of the bed too! I’ll leave the rest to your imagination!
