Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The rooms are often described as spacious and comfortable, with some guests praising the unique design. However, there are consistent complaints about the noise level, both from the train outside and from the rooftop bar. Some guests also express disappointment with the lack of amenities and the quality of the shower facilities.

- Noise level from train and rooftop bar
- Lack of amenities and poor quality shower facilities

Room was very quiet and clean. The only thing that could be upgraded are the towels.

Great location and super friendly and helpful staff

Location, confortable bead and clean bathroom High Price for lack of services like room cleaning, bed, short times of roof garden, and. No sun protection on roof garden tables
- 3.5/5
Clean, comfortable, spacious. View from terrace is nice. Not worth the money. Bathroom facilities do not match the price. They should improve on that front. There is no breakfast included for this price. Plus the additional charges, do not justify the options available.

The location is great and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The free yoga classes were a nice bonus. It is clear that the hotel is going through a transition.

The room was clean and spacious, the lights were confusing, but the luggage storage was nice with automatic lights. The beds were fine, not comfortable but we've had worse, the pillows were very dense or very empty, no mid-point. The wifi is on a network anyone can access which we didn't love. The TV looked like it can access some apps but doesn't actually work for that. TV service went down our last night and didn't come back up before we checked out. Overall, it was a very nice stay and we recognize they are working to build up their customer base. Last suggestion would be to offer room service at 3 nights, if we're paying a service fee per night it should be an option to elect for towel change over at least. They were very response for when we texted for something, and called a taxi for us on check-out.

No cold water, complained twice, then no hot water, no room service, no housekeeping. No restaurant and overall beaten down rooms and property. Would never stay here again.

Disappointing

The staff was fine but the room felt dirty. Everything felt like an inconvenience. And when I asked for extra washcloths, I received a plastic bag on the counter in my room full of towels. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

the happy hour drinks and snacks were such a fun add to the hotel so you weren't having to go out for a meal 3 times in a day. It let us spend out time doing city activities instead of just eating. We had some great Italian beef sandwiches and a nice breakfast buffet. Water pressure and toiletries were excellent. Bed was super comfortable. Room was quiet. The lobby is pretty dark and doesn't have a gathering place for guests. You can see Trump from our window. boo. the hotel seemed rather empty, and yet there were guests right next door to us. You could hear them opening and closing their door many times through our closed doors. It wasn't that disturbing, but it seems like it would have been easy to accommodate more privacy. Unless of course, the view of Trump is a highlight.

The room itself was very good, with a comfortable bed and everything needed for a pleasant stay. The room itself was very good, with a comfortable bed and everything needed for a pleasant stay. However, the overall hotel experience was somewhat disappointing. The property has recently been taken over by Sports Illustrated and is currently undergoing renovation and rebranding, which was communicated during my stay - not before. At present, the lobby feels worn, dark, and quite small, with no seating areas. It does not yet reflect the standard or atmosphere the hotel appears to be aiming for. My main concern is the price. Given the current condition of the hotel, the rates felt high and very close to premium pricing than the overall experience justified. I fully understand that improvements take time, but during a transition period like this, I would have expected more competitive pricing. That said, the hotel shows promise, and I believe it could become a very attractive place to stay once the renovation and transformation are completed.

There is no daily housekeeping available for those staying less than 14 nights.
- 3/5
It was okay for our four night stay, gave me and my sister a place to sleep at least. There's no daily houskeeping and some of the furniture was dirty. Staff was friendly and helpful. An alright place to book if you don't spend much time in the hotel room, which is easy because of its location; its close to the train station and tourist areas.

We went for NRA. The NRA bus stop was really close. They gave us water every day. Excellent room. Not enough queen rooms, so you have to book in advance.

Room layout and size was great. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Odd that we had to use our room key to go down to the lobby - just inconvenient vs a problem. Would have liked a restaurant in the building but lots of food choices right around the corner.

The location of the hotel was excellent for tourist spots. The room was comfortable, was a reasinable size and had a very comfy bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no maid service. We stayed for 6 nights and the room wasn't cleaned. You had to request to get rubbish removed and get clean towels or sheets. We had to put the clean sheets on the bed ourselves and the dirty towels and sheets were just piled in the room. I dont think this aspect of the hotel is clear on the website and I woikd probably have booked somewhere else if id understood this. We had no hot water on our last day and while these things can happen and we were given the key to another room to shower, our phone didn't work and we had to visit reception to report the issue which they already knew about. I'd have expected the hotel to inform us of the issue.

The suite size was roomy The location I have been to bad hotels but nothing like this one. During my stay, the property had issues with their hot water and they claimed they were working on it. That wasn’t my problem though; my problem was how they handled the issue. When I raised it to the front desk all they had to offer was relocating me from one room to another every morning I face an issue with the hot water! When I complained and requested a refund as it is not reasonable to keep relocating my room, they outright refused making the issue sound as a minimal inconvenience to relocate every morning and forgetting that hot water is an essential utility for a functioning hotel and it is a minimum expectation for a paying guest. Absolutely terrible experience ruined my entire stay in Chicago.

We paid for a studio city view and when we got to the hotel the placed on the 5th floor. No city view from the window. TV / remote did not work. Had to cast from my phone. When I tried showering there was only ice cold water. I called the front desk to ask if I’m doing something wrong they said they are trying to fix it. I booked this place for the convinces of getting ready for my graduation which backfired completely when we found out in the morning still no hot water. They said they would move us to a different room once people checked out at 11am. Around 12 we were moved to the tiniest room. ( I paid for a studio ). This room had only hot water set to one temperature. ( it was too hot but I just had to deal with it) next morning once again only ice cold water.

The staff were amazing and very informative. Good location to walk to most attractions and eateries. Clean rooms. Unfortunately we didn’t have hot water and had to move the second night to a new room. Also a little dingy looking on the street. Could use some upgrades on beds as well.

What I liked: The location is excellent, and the gym is actually quite good for a hotel gym. Very disappointing stay. Check-in was chaotic due to extremely loud protest pickets outside the hotel, yet staff made no effort to acknowledge or explain the situation. The hotel also had no housekeeping or room service, which was never properly communicated. I had to request extra towels, and they arrived in a plastic bag. Even worse, there was barely any hot water during my stay — one day I had to shower completely with cold water. On top of that, they charge a mandatory resort fee that feels impossible to justify given the lack of services and overall experience. Far below the standard expected for the price.

Our stay at Sports Illustrated Hotel & Resort exceeded every expectation and made my birthday celebration incredibly special. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to create a memorable experience. Not only were we generously upgraded, but the staff also beautifully decorated our room for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. We were also welcomed with a lovely gift bag filled with treats and snacks, along with champagne and juices so we could enjoy celebratory mimosas, such a classy and appreciated gesture. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional customer service. Every team member we encountered was warm, thoughtful, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our stay special. That kind of hospitality makes all the difference, and it did not go unnoticed. We also thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop happy hour, which had a beautiful view and added to the celebratory atmosphere. The hotel’s location was another major highlight and one of the primary reasons we chose it. It was absolutely ideal, perfectly situated, and incredibly walkable to nearly everything we had planned, which made our trip seamless and even more enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable birthday experience. It’s rare to find a property that combines thoughtful hospitality, excellent service, and a perfect location so effortlessly. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend this property to others. The happy hour drinks didn't taste good.

Great location and converted old Virgin Hotel. Room was fine and hotel basics were fine. There wasn’t any room service daily or for my 3 night stay. There was a strike for housekeepers and they were LOUD out front everyday. Not sure what the hotel fee was for on top of Expedia hotel charge was for, they gave me 2 waters the first day and that was it. They also upsell their vacation club/time share a lot, kinda odd.
- 4/5
I would highly recommend this hotel. The only issue we had was that there was not daily cleaning. I actually never saw hotel cleaning staff in the halls, but the room and hotel were very clean so I am not sure where they were. The hotel is near so many attractions and restaurants. On the second floor is a room with a pool table, air hockey, and other games which was a nice break.

Inconsistent messages from the staff. Got a call from the Sports Illustrated and was told that I paid the daily fee when I made the reservation on Booking. Pretty good experience overall. The only NEGATIVES were: 1) during check-in there is a HARD sell to participate in some sort of sales pitch while doing on-the-house activities in Chicago. The front desk person simply would not stop trying to sell this, even after we told her several times in no uncertain terms that we were not interested. Definitely a bad way to start our vacation - be prepared! It was so awkward seeing that receptionist after that experience, too, she seemed cold toward us. Weird! 2) cleaning services weirdly are not provided. They say the goal is to make guests "feel like they're at home". Um, I'm trying NOT to feel like I'm at home because I'm on vacation. 3) they add a $27 per person "resort fee". What, exactly, is this for? A resort has all sorts of activities and spaces and extras. 4) Noise. You know it's a bad sign when ear plugs are provided for free. Our room was right next to the L. It wasn't terrible, and the ear plugs do help, but be prepared. POSITIVES: 1) staff (except for the first check-in person we encountered) were exceedingly friendly and helpful; 2) they let us check-in an hour early - much appreciated!; 3) very good location, loads of walkable options; 4) as 2 adults and a teen, we really appreciated the studio set up. The toilet is separate from the shower, there are two sinks, and a separate vanity also. Great set up for our small family. NOTE for parking we used the public garage at Millenium park, cheaper and onlya short walk.

Location was perfect. It was walking distance to all the main attractions. I don’t think they should have put a coffee shop in there. A mini market or small café would’ve made more sense. The bed was comfortable, but it was very low—it felt like everything was designed for shorter people. The vanity and the bed should both be raised.

The frog top area on the 26th floor is amazing best surprise out of the hotel. Rooms are very nice shower and bathroom as well. Very great location and so cool to have gotten to watch the St. Patrick’s day river dye on the roof top and have free drinks. Nothing at all definitely coming back!

We chose this hotel for my husband’s birthday weekend. The room was spacious clean and trendy. The bed was so comfortable. The happy hour was excellent and the game room and bar on the second floor was fabulous. The customer service was phenomenal. The location was great and made it easy to navigate about the city. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the perks of staying here were great. They offered a complimentary item from the coffee shop and hosted happy hour during my stay. My room was neat and well kept and a great place for me to land.

Friendly associates. Welcomed and greeted every time we entered or exit. Bedroom was cold and unsure of how to change the temperature in the room.

This property was in an amazing location central to transit and within walking distance to a lot of places. I have never been treated better by staff. They were so helpful and kind.

The location is great. The bed is very comfortable. Wonderful staff - Jordan and Darryl were terrific! The housekeeping was great. The hotel is well managed - all staff are welcoming and very helpful. I have stayed at this location several times and there are many common space touches that could use a refresh. Also, the rooftop music is really loud, even 2 floors down.

Staff were great but the water temp through the shower was hard to control. Even on cold it was really hot water coming out of the shower head. But otherwise the rooms were clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
Accommodations were comfortable overall with a couple slight disappointments. Certain aspects of the room had not been maintained (the vinyl flooring was in desperate need of repair and cleaning). Other amenities in the room were clean and fresh (such as the bed). Temperature control for the room was great, no issues there. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff at the front desk when checking in. Assuming the lack of maintenance is due to the fact the hotel has been sold.
- 5/5
Sad to hear this hotel is closing.
- 4/5
Our room keys didn’t work and we had to venture back downstairs. Slight inconvenience due to small mistake of writing down wrong room number. Very clean room and aesthetically unique. My husband loved the unique bed frame although the mattress was too soft and sunken. Friendly staff.
- 3/5
Room was good. Breakfast at Miss Rickys was very disappointing
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious, clean & well-appointed. Everything you would expect from the Virgin brand. If you're in Chicago, check this place out.
- 5/5
The attached restitution was great for dinner. The hotel is quirky, but a delightful experience.
- 3/5
The roof top bar was closed. Last year the hotel had events at the bar and roof top. This time everything closed early (bar) or was shut down (roof top)
- 5/5
The extremely courteous and helpful staff! From the Valet to the check in and even the bell hop, all made our stay enjoyable! Keep up the great work!
- 3/5
Clean room. Great location. Comfy bed
- 5/5
The shower is large with bench seat, central shower ahead and detachable head. Premium scented cleansing accessories and two separate vanities finished off the space. L The restaurant on the entrance level prepared all foods from scratch with that wonderful southern European food wafting throughout. Virgin Chicago continues to impress and makes me feel welcomed and at home.
- 5/5
It was an amazing experience!
- 4/5
Was charged $70 of amenity fees and upon showing up was told the rooftop bar was closed. Still charged the amenity fees. Staff kind of just had no answer for this at all when so brought up it was pretty ironic that I was charged $70 when the staple amenity wasn’t even open. Rooms were clean and nice but was disappointed no rooftop bar as we were looking forward to it and it’s why we booked the hotel over others. Won’t be staying here again.
- 4/5
the room was awesome. The check in process was not good. Unfriendly staff. Room was not ready til close to 5pm. Not all the outlets worked in the room...not a problem but you'll want to look into that. Valet drop off was TIGHT.
- 3/5
I booked two rooms for our family. While the hotel was wonderful, I was very disappointed T. He kin because I had requested adjoining rooms and didn’t get them or even rooms on the same floor. Even though I received a message from the hotel that they had received my request and was When I arrived, I was told they didn’t have any adjoining rooms and they couldn’t even accommodate us on the same floor. We were here with adults and children for a family girls weekend and we had to split up with 4 floors between us. I was told by the front desk they only had one room on each floor that had double beds which I found out later, was not true. I booked in advance for a wonderful weekend and the hotel could not accommodate my request.
- 4/5
Everything was good until the television service went out twice.
- 4/5
Bed’s amazing, location unbeatable! Sucks they make you pay a 35$ resort fee on top of all the fees you already have to pay and room fee as well.
- 3/5
Nice location, interesting architecture. But the place seemed a bit tired to us and in need of a refresh. Room was tiny, not well equipped (ex. Teapot but no coffee maker). We would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Very accommodating to our concerns.
- 4/5
Spacious, nice staff, great location, super clean
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Downsides: the valet was inattentive (not to be found) when we pulled up a little after 8 PM as was the bellman whose duties end at 7:30. The good news, parking is literally around the corner and the bellman carts around the corner from the front desk. So, a little self-service never hurt anyone.

- 5/5
Excellent hotel the rooms are awesome
- 2/5
Clean room, no extra channels, no directions by the concierge on how to use the elevator, no ice, quiet though.
- 5/5
Great stay and location
- 5/5
Room was spacious and clean ,bathroom didn’t have a bath which wasn’t an issue to us,a well stocked mini bar and easy access to transportation, food and sights.
- 5/5
While this was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things and did not significantly affect our overall experience, it was disappointing, especially since we were excited for the special touch to mark the occasion. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unique atmosphere the Virgin Hotel offers. I hope to return in the future and hope for a more attentive approach in fulfilling special requests.

It was walking distance to the Chicago Theater. The room was clean. Staff was nice. Everything was great except the outlets in the room. I tried several different ways/outlets to charge electronics but the connection wouldn’t work.

- 5/5
Great place to stay near everything.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel every thing about this hotel was perfect
- 3/5
The good: Check-in underwhelming (especially for a Virgin brand); food carts left in the lobby opposite elevators with door to the kitchen wide open. Room on 20th floor was fine - nothing great. Bed was comfortable, room was clean The less-than-good: blanket for the bed was a very used $5 target special - nothing nice and befitting a more-than-average hotel toilet seat - cheap and nasty TV - remote would randomly turn off the tv and had to be restarted (sometimes the old tech is better than the new stuff) Luggage - no room for larger suitcases - would not fit in the built in shelf, and no luggage rack for the larger case Built in "wardrobe" - not tall enough to hand trousers An about average stay for a hotel; but Virgin need to master the basics (something the bigger chains have figured out)

Overall stay was good, but when considering the price, not excellent. Service was amazing, amenities left something to be desired. Technology in room and on the Virgin app was glitchy which made our stay a little frustrating due to many features relying on the tech.
- 2/5
Pros includes filtered water in the lobby, and pets stay free. Also was able to accomodate 1pm complimentary late checkout.
- 5/5
going out for the night and the couch areas were all set with reserve signs... we understand if there are reservations but they sat empty the whole time we stood there... for an hour or so. Otherwise, we thought Virgin was wonderful and an amazing location!
- 3/5
The hotel is cute, the room is fine. Finding out upon check-in that I would be charged a $35 “resort fee” for things like wi-fi and use of the amenities was not fine. When I book through Hotels.com and it lets me know that my total includes taxes and fees it’s absurd that I would be charged ANOTHER fee on the property for things that should absolutely be included in the price of the room. I won’t be staying here again because of it.
- 5/5
my only concern is that hot water was not during peak times, but still ok to take shower
- 5/5
Hotel exceptional, speedy checkin, very friendly staff who explained everything in detail and were happy to answer any queries. Bedrooms, quirky, beautiful bedding, lovely comfortable bed and pillows, food and drink excellent. Good central location to all amenities, shops bars and cafes. One of the best hotels we have stayed in
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Staff were very welcoming.
- 5/5
This is one of my favorite hotels in Chicago and it's the first one I check when I am heading to the city. My suite was comfortable and I enjoyed my stay. One tiny complaint is that the in-room coffee seems to have been downgraded. There used to be a fresh pour over option in every room, but on this stay my room strangely had one of those small tea bag style coffee packets you usually see at far less expensive hotels and it didn't work with the room's pour over basket.
- 5/5
Was one of the best experiences of my life
- 3/5
Great rooms and decent location but a little edgy outside. Rooftop bar should be a positive but we really felt unwelcome there.
- 4/5
A great location, our corner suite was a fabulous size and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were very helpful and charming. Definitely a place I would stay if I get back to Chicago.
- 4/5
Great modern location. The fee onsite was different that the fee told but it was a great stay. I would stay here again.
- 1/5
Do not book this hotel if you want to sleep at all. 1:30am and the thumping loud music from the club 3 floors above us is vibrating the entire room. We called down and there are no rooms to move us to so we are literally stuck here, awake until the club closes. What a waste of money. The hotel is also very dark with no real lobby. Sketchy street. Stay anywhere else and it will be an upgrade.
- 5/5
The only downside is the noise from the L which disturbed our sleep every night.
- 5/5
Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff!
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing. The staff was amazing. Definitely will come back.
- 5/5
Helpful friendly staff especially at check in and housekeeping. Really convenient for anywhere in the city. Great coffee in the ground floor coffee shop!
- 4/5
The hotel is exceptional but make sure you’re in by 10:00 pm. The area around the hotel entrance becomes very uncomfortable after dark. They really should have security out front.
- 2/5
For the price I paid I was disappointed. Bums with their pants down at the entrance of the building - front desk laughed and said “that’s city life”. At the entrance of my room were ceiling tiles; all yellow and dirty, you could see the insulation seeping through. Shower floor was not cleaned or they need to just regrout. The location is next to the train so sleeping was not ideal.
- 5/5
Loved it so much
- 5/5
Great area. Friendly and helpful staff. The beds are incredibly comfortable!
- 5/5
Amazing staff and service
- 3/5
No hot water in the shower for the entirety of our 3 night stay, it was barely warm. Complained multiple times, other guests were also facing the same problem. The responses ranged from "engineers are working on it" to "leave the water running for longer" to finally "that is the hottest water you're going to get". That was unbelievable given that the sink had hotter water than the shower. Upon my insistence, they offered to move us to a different room the next day after 3pm - that meant we would have had to take cold showers for 2 days. In the end we just didn't take up the moving-rooms hassle in the middle of our trip.

Property is old and worn down. They gave us a handicap room. That was sparse and uncomfortable . We checked out after one night. I expect a refund for one night from Expedia. Please let me know how to reply for the refund for a terrible experience
- 5/5
Best service hands down. There area lot of choices at this luxury point. THis one is the best
- 5/5
The staff is wonderful!
- 5/5
Great stay…. staff was excellent
- 5/5
Very good food and pleasant, helpful staff.Very nice modern, spacious room.
- 5/5
My family and I loved the friendly/helpful staff. The hotel was convient to a lot of tourist spots and great restaurants. Public transportation is also available right by the hotel for anything a little further out. We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
The last room in Chicago during lollapalooza but actually nice
- 4/5
Great area and very walkable to local attractions
- 5/5
The property was so amazing and clean. We got the grand suite and it was perfect. The suite is really nice and lots of space to place your belongings and get ready! It is beside the train so always make sure you’re placed on a higher floor to avoid the noise
- 3/5
The hotel is in a great location, but it feels quite worn and in need of updates. In the evenings, the atmosphere can get rowdy due to the bar crowd, which detracted from the overall experience. Given the price point, we were expecting a more refined and upscale environment.
- 5/5
The hotel staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, and the hotel was located in a convenient area.
- 4/5
Nice property but very loud at night.
- 4/5
I loved the location of the property, and the overall concept of something fun and funky, but I had a "higher end" room, and it was right near the elevator, so I got a lot of noise on that side, plus the El from the other side. The rug wasn't super clean (although the bedding and the rest of the room were a delight). The most annoying thing was the TV. Anything I turned it to, 10 minutes later to the minute, it went back to the Virgin channel #1, here are all our hotels in the world. I really hated having to stay on top of a show, when usually I want the tv on as background while I'm getting ready, etc. Also, this hotel's amenities were oversold, i.e., good luck getting on the rooftop, especially if you just wanted a quiet sip of a drink. I loved the cafe and the staff, though, everyone was very pleasant.
- 5/5
It was my second time at
- 5/5
The stay was very nice, and we loved the rooms, coffee shop, robes, and rooftop bar! However, I did notice a few things were missing. For a nice hotel that is pet-friendly, I was surprised there wasn't a dog bowl, a fun amenity, or treats. There also wasn't complimentary water, which is odd for a $470 room. The little touches were lacking. I would stay again due to the room and location. Thanks!
- 4/5
I love Virgin air and expected a 5-star experience. Hotel checkin was not all that welcoming, but efficientl. They had no valet service and basically told us we were on our own. Thought ok I need a drink so went to the rooftop bar. An afterthought at this hotel. Cushions were dirty and faded. Barely staffed. More like a rooftop bar in costs rica than downtown Chicago. Room was nice and stylish. The highlight of the stay tbh as was the coffee shop.
- 4/5
Hotel staff and room were awesome..bed very comfortable. Coffee shop was great had great fast breakfast options. Had Miss Rickie's one day was really great food. Only complaint would be the rooftop bar evening clientele...did not feel comfortable and they were loud and raucous.
- 3/5
Good for red line subway access, parking in garage close by for a discount, walking distance to Riverwalk and stores.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed our stay but felt the price was too high for the size of the room, and the lack of places to sit in the room. Only one chair.
- 4/5
Love the Virgin brand. However, Loading and unloading was terribly managed and spaces in front of hotel were taken by valet of Vip vehicles. Also, there were so many no guests that were attending a roof top club that elecators were all full. Didnt seem very sade nor well managed.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel with exceptional rooftop in prime location.
- 5/5
Coffee shop was amazing and the team. Friendly front desk staff and food at the restaurant. Great shower and room. I stay again.
- 1/5
Worse experience ever! Loud kids partying on the roof. I was kicked out of my room a day early.
- 5/5
Property location was perfect! Rooftop top views was amazing!
- 1/5
Previously stayed at Virgin property and loved it. Was really excited for our stay at Chicago property and could not have been more disappointed. Booked 3 night stay and left day early to stay at another hotel because it was so awful. When checking in we found out the rooftop bar was hosting an event that was open to the public and had a line down the block waiting to get in. Once checked in, AC is on room would not go lower than 71 (same after we had maintenance “fix it”). Service at the rooftop bar and main restaurant were both subpar (the cocktails at bar were the worst we’ve ever had). Important to mention the bar is open to the general public and is packed so hotel guests likely won’t find seating. The worst part of the stay was the music from the bar. We were 8 floors below it and the music sounded like it was in the room next door…until 2am!!! If I could rate the property zero stars I would. It’s worth mentioning we randomly met a hotel employee outside the property the first night in town and they told us we would be disappointed in the property…that says a lot.

All around great stay. Convenient location. Wonderful room, very spacious. Prompt desk service.
- 5/5
Staff were absolute professionals
- 5/5
Very well appointed rooms and wonderful customer service!!
- 5/5
The location was perfect! Minutes away great food and the riverwalk. The hotel personnel was very friendly and extremely helpful.
- 5/5
Great as always.
- 5/5
Great time!
- 5/5
We enjoy staying at this property when we visit Chicago, as it really is right in the heart of the city. Many sights and great restaurants are within walking distance or a mere short Uber ride away. Very pleasant front desk staff, and the coffee shop has a great brew!
- 5/5
Beautiful room and the staff was very accommodating when I needed to clear the mini bar to store breastmilk. Thank you again!
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Good hotel, convenient to Chicago Theatre and public transport.
- 4/5
Nice property, great location. Hotel was a little grungier than the pics online make it seem and the rooms are quite small, but still clean. Staff was pleasant, not overly welcoming. Fantastic dog friendly option. Would stay here again.
- 1/5
Bugs in the room, very dirty bathroom. Door handle broken. Paper thin walls people next to us loud all night like 3-4 am. Hair in the sink. Rooftop bar service poor very rude staff. Was asked to move after spending 40 dollars on a lemonade no booze and 1 drink. Said the spot was reserved no signs like the other tables. We over heard the bouncer laughing when we moved they let some friends take our spot. Carpet in room stained. No I did not complain at the property was only there for 3 nights. Wasn’t worth saying anything. There were people picketing out front and they block our way in last night and were very rude.

Olga at the front desk was awesome
- 5/5
Loved it!!!
- 5/5
Great location! First time in Chicago and this was within walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
Great restaurant and rooftop bar in one location!
- 5/5
Like the roof top bar.
- 5/5
Finally a hotel that exceeded my expectations! Beautiful stay.
- 5/5
wonderful staff and even more wonderful room! very clean and safe area:)
- 2/5
Terrible room. Can’t sleep with the thumping from the 26th at night to the crashing noises from the gym at 5am. Very rude lobby with people pushing and shoving to get to the 26th floor party.
- 5/5
Room was great - comfortable, great shower. Short walk to train station to and from O'Hare airport.
- 5/5
My initial experience was TERRIBLE. However, the manager, Frankie called my the next morning both apologizing for my experience, and extended the upgrade that I was due. She went above and beyond and also provided an additional meal and adult beverage. This lady truly deserves a raise. She really should be applauded for this!
- 4/5
Only one chair to sit on or the bed. There was coffee in the room but NO coffee maker. A well stocked fridge and snack tray. But no room in the fridge for anything you might want to put in. Room came with one robe. Had to ask for a second. Lobby had no seats to wait.
- 5/5
Very nice stay
- 4/5
Nice room, great shower with waterfall shower head and seperate hose. Everything was very clean. It had a large safe, separate sink and commode.
- 5/5
I had a great experience!! I will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Spent a long weekend here and it was great. Staff was friendly and location of hotel was perfect for sightseeing and walking to most things downtown. Our room was clean and quiet. Loved the large bathroom and closest area. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Was charged $25 for a toothbrush!!!!
- 5/5
Stayed one night, friends trip. Hotel is beautiful and interesting. Location is fabulous, we walked nearly everywhere. Friendly staff. Our view wasn't great but we were not in the room much. Will definitely go back, loved it!
- 5/5
The access to amenities and the property itself was very nice and exclusive.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this property. Super convenient, the metro and train stations a very short walk away. Right by the bean and river north. Cafe and commons club were fantastic, service was great by all staff.
- 5/5
We hope we can make another trip to Chicago sometime soon and stay there again.
- 5/5
Great stay on St. Patrick's Day weekend.
- 5/5
Great stay , very nice suites. Lots of offers ... Love this
- 3/5
I did not like that the bathroom and shower is in the middle of the hallway instead of building a normal bathroom where everything belongs and specially for someone who wants privacy in the bathroom. The tv remote didn’t work as well
- 5/5
We were only there 4 two nights visiting our children, but we will definitely return again. The staff was super accommodating.
- 4/5
Great location, restaurant, and staff with clean rooms and a cool vibe. Has an amenity fee, but don’t really know what it included beyond normal hotel offerings.
- 4/5
Incredibly nice staff but outdated amenities and decor
- 5/5
Great
