Reviews
The Pendry Chicago is a beautifully restored Art Deco hotel in a prime location, with friendly and helpful staff. However, some guests have reported issues with noise, room comfort, and unexpected charges.

Elegant but not pretentious. Great location and friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Will definitely stay there again.

Great staff and property!
- 2/5
We stayed at the Pendry Chicago for a week. The one time housekeeping cleaned our room they did a poor job, including not changing dirty glasses, removing and not replacing a bath mat, not refreshing tissues and toilet paper, and not fully cleaning the toilet. The next day we put a privacy sign on our door and left for the day. When we returned, the sign was on the inside of our door, clearly showing someone had entered the room without our consent. When we brought this up to management, we got the runaround and claims that security scan reports of our door showed only our entries. When I made clear that I had documentation of there being no housekeeping that day through texts with the hotel and receipts showing our absence for the full day and there was no longer any plausible deniability to be had, the security team admitted that a housekeeper had entered the room despite the privacy sign on the door. Later, they spoke to the employee, and told me their internal investigation showed an accidental entry, which makes no sense given the privacy sign on the outside of the door, the hanging of the sign on the inside of the door after entry, and the room not otherwise being touched. The only thing that makes sense is someone cased our room and decided there was nothing worth stealing, then hung the sign inside after it fell off the door. Also, the windows are thin and even earplugs don’t help with the street racing noise and sirens outside . Don’t recommend staying here.

Staff was amazing. Great hotel and location!

Delightful staff and property, perfect for downtown adventures
- 5/5
historic building location exceptional staff; above and beyond bellman service; we felt well taken care of no cashier at the property
- 3.5/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Sent us to an excellent restaurant. Helpful in planning our activities for a short stay (3 nights) in Chicago. Nice breakfast experience at the restaurant. Again, excellent service. Room was not all that clean. Stains on the carpet which would not be expected from a hotel of this caliber. Towels were frayed which was unusual for a hotel at this level and supplies not ample. Would stay there again based on quality of service and location.

Beautiful hotel in ideal location. The bar is amazing. Hotel is full of amazing details.
- 5/5
I absolutely loved it! I little bit noisy but close to literally everything!
- 5/5
Gorgeously appointed hotel in a fantastic location. The building is iconic and the staff were so helpful and delightful. They could not have done enough to assist. Nothing. It was perfect!

Great and very elegant hotel! I absolutely loved it! The only thing is a little bit noisy but it’s the price you have to pay to be in an excellent location, you have everything you need in a walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Always a great welcome and great stay at the Pendry Chicago. Love the staff.

Great staff and perfect place to be in the middle of everything!

We were upgraded to a double queen and the location was great.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Very central location, helpful staff. The speak easy was a great surprise
- 4/5
(They did give us new chocolates) Location was great, parking expensive but it seems to be pricey everywhere.
- 3/5
I will start by saying the staff was so friendly and helpful and you can’t beat the location. However, for what I paid, it was a little lackluster…. Our room was very warm. We couldn’t sleep the first night there so we called the next evening. The air filter was filthy and he was able to get it back running again, thankfully. The shower knob fell OFF IN MY HAND as I turned it. Even on our last day there, we just had to guess how to use the shower knobs to get it to the temp we wanted and shower vs tub faucet. It was a good stay but not worth the money imo. Oh, and the cleaning staff left two of their rags behind… just not what I was expecting
- 5/5
Overall amazing stay
- 5/5
The staff at the Pendry are top notch. We arrived early and just wanted to drop our bags off, but the staff was able to check us in several hours early. Upon learning it was my birthday, the bell hop brought me a glass of wine from the bar and later, the staff sent up a bottle of prosecco and birthday cupcakes. Our room

Staff were professional, courteous, and engaging with plans we had while in the city. They offered alternatives to consider without over stepping or being pushy. Very helpful overall!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Recently renovated rooms and superb staff. Central location. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Perfect location, stunning hotel!
- 5/5
The bars in the hotel are very good both on ground level and level 24 for relaxing and also drink and food selection. Onsite restaurant good too. Great location as well. Hotel also gave 2 discount voichers to use on site restaurant and cafe.
- 5/5
The hotel itself is beautiful, the lounge and bar area are so cozy and the cocktails are amazing! The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. Our stay at The Pendry was great! Shout out to our friend Anis at the bar lounge for his excellent hospitality.

Bar area and rooms are nice The man at the concierge desk I heard him talking to a woman that was needing to order balloons and I overheard him telling the check in staff that he had already talked to the woman so when he called her and then hung up he made a face of annoyance. I was waiting for my car to pick me up and I observed it all ….he was bothered and annoyed…not good

Truly one of our favorite stays! The staff makes you feel at home & are super accommodating. I will stay here every time! The bellman Michael is quite literally the best ever!! He made our stay so wonderful and special!
- 5/5
Great location. Walking distance to a lot of attractions: art institute, river, bus and train stops
- 4/5
Our room was huge, appreciated that. Pretty loud at night, from outside noise. Not hotel’s fault.

Muriel at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous, wonderful historic art deco building right on Michigan Ave., great location and views, really nice, spacious and clean room. Chateau Carbide on the 24th floor is definitely worth checking out, nice cozy areas to hang out, sit on a couch and have a drink while enjoying great views of the city. We also got a free ride from the hotel to the Shedd Aquarium.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3.5/5
Room was nice
- 5/5
The on-site restaurant is just so-so but in room dining was excellent. Did think it was a bit odd they charged both an $8 delivery fee and a 22% service charge for it, thought it should have been one or the either given the service is just in the delivery
- 3.5/5
Front desk and Concierge were not welcoming, friendly, or helpful.
- 4/5
There were two elevators out of the three and you had to wait sometimes up to 15 minutes for an elevator to be free and not filled with people and you couldn’t fit. The sounds from the streets is crazy - we faced the street and it was so loud. From the fire trucks - to the protestors - to the honking. It was all night long.
- 5/5
I was able to walk around in please ??. We enjoyed the Soul feeling . We enjoyed everything ? ❤️
- 3.5/5
The decor was beautiful and the room was large and comfortable. Location was perfect for what we needed for our trip. The gym was convenient and had decent amenities, but it was a little small and a view would have been nice. The elevators were incredibly slow, which became a nuisance after one or two days. Our room was right next to a staff room, so it was often loud right outside - that was disappointing for the price we paid. Room service was efficient, but very expensive. We had a meal on the rooftop that was pretty mediocre, even though the view was beautiful.
- 5/5
We were speechless walking into our room. Staff and room exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to book again.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Yes, but room 301 (a corner suite) had an awful sound caused by the "ventilation system"that needed to be fixed (twice) during the night. So, we unable to sleep comfortably.

Clean room and amenities
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional!!!!!
- 4/5
Quick service.
- 5/5
Best hotel ive ever stayed in. Perfect location for moving around Chicago. Everyone helpful, had a great time.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Loved the location and the room!
- 4.5/5
After a long morning of moving about the city we returned to the hotel bar area with food that we had purchased before returning and were told that outside food was not allowed in the bar/restaurant area. We returned during check in time so the small lobby was full and there was nowhere else to dine while our room was being turned.
- 1/5
There are way more options in that area of Chicago with far better customer service and we won’t be returning to the Pendry
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
A very clean room, everything smells good and fresh, very nice staff, the staff helps all the time, my family and I feels very secure in the hotel.
- 5/5
Room was really clean and fresh
- 5/5
The room was fantastic, the rest of the hotel (lobby, gym, bar) is spotless. We arranged an engagement photoshoot in the bar via Laura S (events coordinator) and she was unbelievably helpful in ensuring everything was done correctly and in line with hotel procedure. Will be staying again when we revisit Chicago!
- 5/5
Excellent service that was very accommodating.
- 4/5
lovely hotel with wonderful friendly staff, and the perfect location. The beds are lovely and comfortable and the hotel very pretty. However, they need to upgrade the quality of the food preparation. The offerings were very good but the actual preparation of the food was not in line with any of the other Pendry hotels we have stayed in.
- 3/5
While the front desk staff could be more welcoming, the bell desk staff was very nice and offered water to those waiting
- 4/5
Great location! Very helpful staff!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel and location.
- 5/5
Excellent location to stay in the heart of the city.
- 5/5
It was a pleasant stay. Lovely amenities and fantastic upgrade.
- 4/5
Corner room on upper floor was quiet. Bed was comfy and warm. Staff was friendly all over the hotel from front desk to restaurants to cleaning crew. Room service was late but server was friendly. Wish the bathroom had a lit 10x mirror!
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
A lovely hotel. From the complimentary beverage after check in, to the art deco feel throughout, carrying on to the crisp, clean room, and right down to the hand soap and hair products. Everything about it was warm and cozy! Will visit again!
- 3.5/5
The atmosphere It was very noisy outside but I guess the hotel can’t help that. Coffee pot didn’t work and remote needed to be fixed bit staff handled it immediately
- 5/5
Neither would get me a cab, they said to just stand outside
- 5/5
19th floor room with roomy bathroom & excellent water pressure. Soft, comfortable sheets on moderately firm mattresses. Very prompt room service with nice choices 24/7 (we ordered at midnight). Located about 2 blocks from Miracle Mile. On top of that, customer service was outstanding!
- 5/5
the bellhop and staff were extremely courteous, there was a problem with a transaction and the front staff was immediate at amending the issue. best place i’ve stayed! extremely classy and polite.
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional, top to bottom.
- 5/5
The staff made the whole experience even better. Everyone I talked to was friendly, helpful, and actually seemed to enjoy their jobs. The lobby bar and restaurant were great too, and the whole vibe of the place is relaxed but still upscale. The location made it easy to get around the city, but I kept finding myself wanting to head back early just to enjoy the hotel. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pendry Chicago. I stayed in a tower king room. I originally was going to stay in a suite but the normal king room was very spacious for one person. The valet service was pretty quick and the valets were all very nice. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and professional. I loved staying right on Michigan Ave and within walking distance to so many things. I read some reviews saying safety was a concern but I didn’t experience any safety issues. They lock the doors on Michigan Ave after a certain point to keep the flow of traffic thru a better monitored entrance. I also took an evening(beginning around 9:30pm) stroll around Millennium Park, down to Buckingham fountain and back up Michigan Ave to the river and the surroundings blocks around the hotel. At no point did I feel unsafe and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Chicago. The location is fantastic, the employees are amazing and the rooms are comfy. What more could you ask for?
- 5/5
Really great spot in the city right in the middle like a five minute walk to to everything around you the staff was great. The rooms were beautiful.
- 4/5
Overall, it was "Good"; however, doesn't deserve a 4 star rating. The great: service is as it should be for a top-shelf hotel. Staff is terrific. Location couldn't be better. Improvement areas: We were on 9th floor. Heavy cannibis smell in hallway (not necessarily hotel fault, but was annoying). Post check-in, while we we in room getting ready for an event, hotel personnel came in twice (once to check mini bar inventory and another time to replace missing items). Should have been done before check-in. It's a minor nuisance, but not good for a 4 star hotel. Also, wake-up alarm went off on hotel clock at 6 am (previous guest must have set this). Another minor annoyance, but for a 4 star hotel should have been part of a standar checklist to reset to neutral. Would consider going back, but may be better options in area to check out.
- 5/5
Clean and great service.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent. Will definitely stay here again. I really liked the scent of the bath/shower products and the candles in the lobby
- 4/5
The room had no soundproofing. Every night a car was revving loudly across Michigan Ave around midnight, making it impossible to sleep without noise-cancelling AirPods.
- 5/5
Staff was our favorite part! Very very professional and friendly
- 5/5
A great location, a fabulous building, and a delightful room. The one mystery was a background thumping noise that persisted throughout the stay. Fortunately, didn't disturb sleep. The reception staff sloughed off any knowledge or interest in the cause, but we couldn't imagine that the source was an unknown to hotel staff, and potentially fixable.
- 5/5
Rooms are lovely, bar / restaurant is top notch. Love staying at the pendry!
- 3/5
This hotel is so overpriced. Had the double queen room for over $600 for the night and we were so packed in. We ordered coffee and they brought us more pods for the in room machine instead, windows don’t block any sound so we awakened at 6:30 am on a Sunday to the sound of trash trucks on the street. Just not a great value.
- 5/5
Great location, staff, room!
- 4/5
Great location. Hotel is vibey with rooftop, nice bar, restaurant, and coffee shop. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would stay again
- 5/5
Very nice, service was stellar, the bed was super comfortable, location perfect for our activities. Bar and resturaunt inviting and comfortable. We will definitely return on our next visit to Chicago.
- 1/5
Mold in vents; not a high luxury hotel
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The only complaint that I have, is the elevator, it was not working and it was causing so much traffic to go to our rooms.
- 5/5
We loved the Pendry!
- 1/5
We didn’t eat breakfast here. Sink would not drain for the first night, they did fix it after informing them. Bar is spot on for the most part except for the fact that a couple had us move down to accommodate themselves then ordered drinks and food and left without paying. Other than our business trip experience was 7/10.
- 3/5
Beautiful building in a very central location. Also a fantastic bar, which is worth visiting if staying nearby. We arrived at 5pm after a long flight and were told our room wasn’t ready. We walked around for an hour and received no phone call. When we decided to go back and ask, the room was ready - they just didn’t bother to tell us. No apology. Front desk then asked for payment immediately. I had provided card details already at the time of booking but they wanted physical payment. They wouldn’t take Apple Pay (?!), so I was forced to rummage through my luggage in the foyer while other guests waited to find a card. Upon checkout I was told the payment hadn’t gone through, despite me showing evidence to the contrary via my banking app. They demanded that I make a second payment, insisting that the original would be refunded. Interestingly they were now somehow able to take payment from the original card they had on system, which they had previously told me I could not use. This meant I was out of pocket several thousand dollars. It took a full month for the original payment to be reversed to my account. The worst part is they were not at all apologetic about any of this. I understand these things can happen, but as this was no fault of my own I expected some basic level of courtesy. If you want luxury and service, try the Langham or the Peninsula. I won’t be returning to a Pendry property.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
Loved it. Very lux.
- 5/5
Well furnished, comfortable room. Friendly and professional staff who match the hotel’s sleek but laid back tone. Iconic old art deco building; maintained impeccably both inside and out. Would happily stay again.
- 5/5
Just an amazing first class hotel! My favorite in Chicago!!
- 5/5
Great staff, excellent guest service, super comfortable. Only one functioning elevator is a concern.
- 5/5
Ideal area if it’s your first time visiting Chicago. Hotel staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
The room looked clean, but I saw a few spiders and ants, throughout the room and throughout the three days we were there multiple times. Elevator was a bit confusing.
- 4/5
Yes the breakfast was fresh
- 5/5
I loved the hotel, however I would request an inside room next time. It was extremely noisy outside.
- 3/5
This place would’ve been great if it wasn’t for the elevators. They took forever during the day to arrive to the floor we were staying in. At one point we waited 20min for an elevator, got on and got stuck on the 14th floor. Once it opened after a couple of minutes of being stuck. We took the stairs all the way down. Other than that, very clean and nice hotel but not worth the price.
- 4/5
It’s a great location and they gave our boys a welcome penguin. We couldn’t see the rooftop view bc our boys were 8 & 10 and it’s 21 and up. We would’ve loved to have a “free” family picture. The room service food was about a 5 (crudités, pasta and a chicken sandwich $150) Only one side of the elevators went to our floor, spent a little time waiting.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Very nice staff.
- 5/5
The bed was extremly comfortable Staff was very attentive. Highly recommend
- 4/5
Fantastic hotel!! Absolutely beautiful and exquisite!!
- 5/5
Hotel was fantastic!! The staff? Exceptional! I will be going back in a heart beat. Michigan Ave is quite noisy on Friday and Saturday evening. Not quite the Hotel's fault but it is a very busy area.
- 3/5
sometimes we waited so long that we decided to take the stairs and walk down 14 flights, we ended up doing this 3 times. This was incredibly inconvenient! When the elevator was working, it stopped on every single floor as we went down. We were there from Wednesday to Sunday, it was very frustrating!
- 4/5
Everything was nice with the exception the elevators were extremely slow but beds are very comfortable and the rooftop was really nice.
- 4/5
Great staff. Elevator wait times are bad.
- 4/5
Excellent location, great restaurants nearby. Nice, spacious rooms.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel
- 4/5
Good location not far from all the big attractions. But it was noisy in the evening.
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
great stay
- 5/5
Nice rooms and excellent service!
- 5/5
The corner room was lovely. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room felt more like a nice apartment than a hotel room. Staff was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed.
- 5/5
This is an exceptional hotel. The rooms are clean. The service is impeccable, and the products!! The signature scent is to die for. It is now a part of my life. I had to buy a candle on the way out and have already visited the online store for body wash and lotion. Well done. There are a lot of choices in Chicago, but this is now my go to. Will definitely be back!
- 5/5
We enjoyed the room upgrade. Having a suite was very nice. We stayed 9/6-9/7.
- 5/5
Close to everything near the lakefront. Service and rooms were top notch. Would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
The property is gorgeous! Lovely rooms and the staff were fantastic, could not fault them at all! My only issue would be the roads outside are very noisy, we needed ear plugs to sleep. Other than that, absolutely fantastic stay! Would return and would highly recommend
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and clean. In a great location and great views.
- 5/5
Only negative was we were suppose to have a city view and ended up with one of the rooftop and side of another building. No view at all.
- 3/5
Great place esp last minute
- 4/5
Just ok for the price.
- 5/5
Great stay. Good bar. A little noisy as it is in a very busy area but I didnt mind it. Will stay again.
- 5/5
This hotel was lovely. The room was large and smelled divine. Everything was spotless, beds were comfy, location was excellent, staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. :)
- 5/5
Fantastic experience top to bottom. The staff was incredible, the room was luxurious, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will be back.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel!
- 5/5
Corner room, river view, great view from room and rooftop
- 5/5
Amazing hotel. Room services so fast. Thanks to”Hakim” for his amazing assistance with us.
- 3/5
The location was great but overhyped. Rooms were average. I did have good sleep comfy bed and pillows. I would have liked a full length mirror at least. Squeezing a line of people in one elevator and stopping on almost every floor was a little annoying. Wish the front desk explained more of the amenities or a text or something
- 5/5
Room was very nice and clean. Great location and we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Only thing I would say is that it is a little loud at night but you are downtown right off Michigan ave so you should expect some street noise. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great service and lication
- 3/5
My problems were mainly with the front desk staff, who seemed overwhelmed and frustrated for the most part during an incredibly busy holiday weekend. When I first arrived, almost an hour after check-in time, housekeeping was running behind and originally told me that my room wasn’t ready. When they noticed my displeasure, they found another room for me. That set the tone for the stay. Lines at the front desk constantly, elevators full or too slow. The room itself was lovely and some of the best bath products I’ve experienced at a hotel recently, but they need to improve on slickness and efficiency, as well as a real hospitality mindset
- 5/5
Very impressive, 5 star quality for 4 star prices. Highly recommend.
- 3/5
Slow elevators. Solid hotel but nothing spectacular. Would choose other properties in this price point next time.
- 5/5
Will be coming back! Beautiful rooms and great staff.
- 5/5
We love it here! Carissa (Chris?) the bellman is soo kind and professional.
- 5/5
Loved the atmosphere and friendly atmosphere
- 4/5
This was property was centrally located next to everything that a first time visitor would like to experience. The access to the parks, museums, the Riverwalk and dining options makes for an enjoyable trip. The only downside was having to wait a considerable time for the elevators. Having 5 elevators and not all running at the same time, led to long wait times for a popular hotel with many guests.
- 5/5
Lovely rooms and staff very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Fantastic location. Great staff and all round service
- 5/5
Wonderful Stay.
- 5/5
Our stay exceeded our expectations. Hotel was exactly what we needed—-location was excellent, staff was professional. I will certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.
- 5/5
The staff was so accommodating and extremely kind. Would stay here again 100%.
- 2/5
Elevators were so slow! Valet parking was absolutely terrible!
- 5/5
Awesome hotel!
- 5/5
We enjoyed the rooftop dining--the view is terrific, especially after dark. Excellent location on Michigan Ave near restaurants, shopping and museums. Did the valet parking and it worked well for us. The service was all around excellent including checkin/checkout, in room dining service (we did breakfast), concierge, baggage help and valet . They were able to give us a late check out so we could fit in an architectural boat tour and then kept our luggage all day until evening so we could squeeze more out of this long weekend trip to the Windy City. The hotel is clean, stylish and service is top rate. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent!!!
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel. Hotel staff in all areas were extremely professional and helpful to include front desk, concierge, bar tenders, hostess and cleaning crew.
- 5/5
Excellent location, smaller room, but very clean and good service
- 5/5
Great hotel in downtown Chicago.

Service wasn’t great.

The bed was very comfortable. But we did not order any room service so I have no comment about the food options.
- 5/5
The stay so far has been great, but we attempted to order in room dining which, according to the menu, is available until 5AM, but were advised by the front desk staff that we would not be able to order food for at least 40 minutes while the kitchen was “cleaned”. No other solutions were provided and we were very disappointed in this interaction.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out and the staff are super nice and helpful. Hotel is in a very crowded area. It can take time to get in and out with your car. A lot of noise from the outside even when staying on top floors. Hotel could be managed better. Elevator was broken for a whole day. Room had some minor repairs that were not done when we checked in.

She sent us a special note and gift! What a wonder person! The hotel was the best location too. We enjoyed the hotel and our trip very much! Thank you for Murriell for bringing joy!!

Nice hotel

Close proximity to everything

Amazing property in a great neighborhood right at the heart of all the action.

this hotel was so noisy, that I didn't get any sleep. The hotel is very dark inside and half the elevators were out of order so it took a long time to get to and from your room. The biggest negative was in the insane amount of street noise, day and night and we were on the 18th floor. no sleep in Chicago
- 4/5
Lovely hotel in a great area close to everything. But so noisy at night- people seem to like racing in the streets - outside our window.
- 5/5
Accommodations were great. Clean rooms and very convenient location. Service at the bar upstairs was pretty terrible the night we were there. Very unengaged and getting a drink took over 30 minutes

For the price I would have expected much better service, they advertised Coffee bar every morning, and they were out each and every day, they advertise the roof top and there is cero priority for guest, were never able to spend time there, did not have basic ingredients in the bar. We were at the 10th floor and the street noise was really bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

There was an odd odor. My room was not ready for several hours after check in.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Chicago with exceptional customer service.

Amazing service! Great for families. Our kiddos received a stuffed animal upon check in with they loved! Great location.

I had AC issues with a crazy rattling noise in my first room and was upgraded to another nicer room my last night there. Neither of the beds were very comfortable - I think adding a pillow top would be helpful! The rooms are cute though!

We spent a week here. The location was great! The staff was nice. However, Dishonest fees were charged after we checked out of our room. One was for the honest bar (charged for a bottle of Maker's mark we never had) How ironic! The Honest Bar!! & the other was for a Venteux dinner receipt that we had receipt of. Apparently, after we left & signed the receipt we were given, they came up with their own. Other disappointments were for the cadillac transportation that was discussed upfront with a hotel representative. They don't offer it thru the week, only on friday & saturdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Also left a message for the concierge on the 1st day & never received a call back. Very disappointing to say the least! One last mention, the sirens were going off alot & we found our room to be very noisy. We wouldn't stay here again!!

Nice property, very walkable. Front desk was great. Bar area nice & welcome drink nice. Concierge was not around. Got suite with 2 full baths which was awesome with teens. Great stay overall!

Nice property. Nice renovation. Bed is comfortable, room quiet and a good size for the price. I was on the 5th floor and the elevators those lower floors are SLOW. like sometimes had to wait for 15 mins. When they finally opened it was like a clown car there were so many people jammed in there. That said, the hotel is centrally located and that was my only issue.

Great beds and a great atmosphere.. we walked everywhere from here!

Nice hotel, centrally located

This is a great hotel in a historic building right on Michigan Ave. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They have one of the best hotel gyms that I have ever seen. The beds were quality. The only thing I would warn visitors about is that they should bring their earplugs due to the super loud cars and motorcycles that seem to cruise the avenue until 3AM with loud mufflers and music.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, the best doormen and a reluctant but helpful concierge lol. Love that they still give you bathrobes in the room and the in room bar selection is top notch. The Vendeux was w9nderful as well, particular the service. Everything about the stay was wonderful.

An excellent hotel with beautiful architecture in the heart of downtown. The service and staff were excellent. Looking forward to staying here again on my next business trip to Chicago.

It’s a great location for walk around the beautiful downtown of Chicago. People were so helpful and friendly. Definitely I’ll consider coming back.

Great stay. Elevators were a lot slow but overall great property and great service!
- 5/5
Great place! Will be back!

While the hotel was beautiful and clean, and everyone was so kind and helpful, the loud hustle and bustle from the city below, bled through the windows and created a difficult time to sleep as there was not one bit of silence throughout the night, but that is literally what you get when you’re staying in the middle of the city. The restaurant was excellent with amazing service. I would recommend if you’re a heavy sleeper.

Great location, cafe attached has superb breakfast! A great base to explore Chicago!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay in every way possible!

It was great

Beautiful property. Amazing customer service.
- 5/5
I loved the area, the building was so pretty. We didn’t know we had to make reservations for the roof top bar so we weren’t able to go. So that was my only disappointment
- 5/5
Lovely stay. Will come back. Great location and attentive staff
- 4/5
The hotel is really nice. But the check in took way too long, the lady at the front desk couldn’t find the reservations and kept mixing them up. at check out we had extra charges that didn’t exist. Room service has TERRIBLE service so does the restaurant.
- 3/5
The road noise was so loud. Woke up several times during the night. Would not stay again due to noise. The staff was friendly but too few people at front desk. Spent 10 minutes waiting to checkout.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff!

I was a bit nervous about my first visit to the hotel, but the staff made me feel incredibly comfortable. I was greeted very politely, and the valet service was incredible. The room I was assigned was magnificent and clean. I loved it, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I want to go back!

Well run, accommodating staff, central location, cozy lounge area with fireplaces. Definitely stay again. This was our third stay.

Staff was wonderful. Loved Bob Klees,Chef Concierge ! He is so helpful, friendly and warm. He made my morning trip downstairs for coffee worth the trip.

Absolutely incredible stay in a wonderful location and an extremely friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more.

Great, historical building with a nice and welcoming vibe. Well placed. Featured on the architectural tour! Had a room next to the elevator and was extremely loud. Otherwise, great stay.

Not a good experience, told me to pay for an upgrade if wanted lake view, then only got a 13th floor room, with little view to the lake. Room is dirty, a lot of stains on the walls and furnitures. Not clean at all.
