Nothing Dirty property, toilet had pee in it, the whole room smelled like cigarettes (I booked here because it mentioned it was smoke free), the bedsheets were stained, the “desk” in the room was about to collapse, the floor was filthy, horrible place to go. It doesn’t even deserve an star.

I read a lot of reviews of this place online and I have to say they are all majorly outdated, the place is now extremely clean, and very comfortable to live in, they seemed to have fixed all issues with leaks and the holes in the ground, which gives the place a great look, the bed is extremely comfortable and quite large which was excellent. The tv was high quality and we received towels and shower equipment for our stay, if you are reading the reviews just know they are massively outdated and I highly recommend this place!

Parking was easy, and there were several nearby locations for food and amenities. However, there was no deadbolt lock for the door, the wifi didn't work, there was no cleaning service, and I found drug paraphernalia under my mattress. Clearly, this motel is for a certain clientele, and I just didn't fit there. Good location; not a great space.

The bathrooms, specifically the shower was so gross I didn’t want to step in it. There was one available outlet to use in the whole room. Lighting was awful. Lamps were broken and old. The blankets were incredibly thin and they couldn’t give me extras. And you can’t control the temperature in your own room. So you’re just at their mercy on that. The owners are nice but the hotel isn’t. The ice machine definitely wasn’t sanitary and was only in the office so unavailable at night. The steps to the second floor were very small and honestly dangerous. The location wasn’t great either. There’s one restaurant in walking distance and the food there is very mids. Cannot recommend.

To be blunt, the place is a rat motel. The grounds are in shambles, the exterior of the rooms i.e. balcony, stairs, door are unclean and need to be updated. I was glad to make other accommodations for my stay in Chicago. The motel manager would not move my date of stay up one day. There were rooms available, but he would not permit my request to move my stay up one day.

The place is okay. The room we got smelled strongly like cigarettes — the odor was soaked into the walls — but for the price, I guess it’s fine.

There was no air conditioning that I could manage, just a fan that was dirty. There was no fire alarm. The hot water came out as a trickle.the staff was polite and nice but I found it odd that I received the remote for the TV along with the key.the neighborhood seemed decent, however I was propositioned by what must have been a drug dealer to see if I wanted any coke, heroine, or weed. He also had a difficult time trying to get out of a parallel spot in front of my car and I feared he would hit it, which is why I stayed outside to watch the proceedings. Oh and my room reeked of weed when I got there. The window only opened about a foot, but did not lock.

Staff are ready to clean your room at request. They are pleasant and easy to approach at all times. The bed is clean. The only motel with fridge and microwave in the room. Easy transportation if you have no car. In the center of Chicago and Surbùrbs.

For a cheap hotel, it’s fine as it has the basic necessities a hotel needs - however, it was slightly dirty, microwave didn’t work, and no plugs. The side lights on the nightstands didn’t work and the room was hot (no temperature regulation). For the price it’s fair

First of all the rooms look like they were thrown together extension cords hanging from the tv the tv mind had static on every channel couldn’t even watch tv tried to hook up my game system but the tv was glued to the wall so you couldn’t do that it’s says it has air conditioning on here but it doesn’t when I asked the man at the front desk he said they did but it was out of season mind yu they never had air conditioning so they’re false advertising then ok maybe the heat is amazing since it’s in season nope I was freezing had to run the shower on hot for the steam to heat up the room wouldn’t ever stay here again but I guess you get what you pay for

Catfish! I will be honest, the staff were great. I’ve had better coffee at the homeless shelter I used to work at. The rooms look nothing like this. My bff and I looked around the room and then at each other and agreed, hands down the most orrible lace I’ve ever stayed. Glad there were no bedbugs. But my bff was sure to check before unpacking. Nice neighborhood, but they really need to renovate.

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever "stayed" in. There's no way I could have stayed overnight. I ended up leaving after 3 hours and just accepted the loss. Where do I begin? The carpet was damp from the fridge I assume, the bathtub wouldn't drain and I've never stayed in the hotel room where you couldn't control the climate... that was a first. I was sweating just laying in bed. I don't typically write reviews but I'm just trying to help everyone out here. I just can't believe they charge over $100 for a room there.

Waited over 30 minutes to get someone at the lobby and when they finally came they sent me to a horrible room with no AC, no lock on the door, bugs flying in the room, dirty.. refused to refund as I went to a different hotel as soon as I saw the state of the room.. but I will dispute with bank because it was beyond unacceptable

first noise I hear when I step in is a fire alarm low battery chirp going off. first thing I see is two wires hanging from the ceiling where a fire alarm should be. Very confusing

Bed was quite comfortable. Crosby’s Kitchen was across the street. Also a Mexican restaurant and a gyro shop were close. Caldwell was not far away.

There was no ac. None. When i contacted the front desk they offered a fan. I would have appreciated being told at check in The air was not working. The motel was clean.

Both the property and the room did not resemble the photos on Expedia. It was a sham. Place was not as described and I did not end up staying despite the fact that they refused to cancel and refund my money.

This place was so gross. We walked in. Laid down for maybe one minute and left.

Room at 5:30 in the morning scaring the crap out of us. My husband ran to the door to shut and lock it while yelling out the window that this was our room.

When we arrived we were told that our reservation was canceled because they didn't have a room with two (2) beds available. However, they never notified us, and it was already late, so we didn't have an opportunity to investigate alternative accommodations. We ended up staying, and the accommodations were adequate and of fair quality. Despite the unexpected cancellation, the staff member was friendly and accommodating.

My stay in Chicago for the first time visiting was great the city is beautiful but my room when I got there was dirty not clean used soap towels and bedding floors not swept bathroom had open and used soap shampoo and conditioner in it. Pillowcase on the bed was dirty still had stains and hair on it. I was not happy at all with my stay and I was visiting for my birthday I have sickle cell and could of seriously got sick with the conditions of the room I booked its like someone had just left or my room been sitting like that for awhile. I was very disappointed in the condition

Very quiet and safe. Housekeeping are great when you ask for cleaning. The bathroom is so white after they finish cleaning.

It's nearly to my new job. Safe and the service desk answers your call at ant time to meet your need. They should not wait for me to request cleaning my room. Although it's in the middle of a street, is still quiet.

The room was very dirty. I didn't want to touch anything but didn't have faith any of the other rooms were better. There were a lot of stains on the cloth headboard and walls. The sliding window did not lock just had a jam so it couldn't open more than 10 inches. Some of the rooms allow smoking, and mine smelt terrible even though it was one of the nonsmoking. The bottom of the tub and bathroom door were deteriorating. There were loud bangs and yelling audible from other rooms.

This motel is absolutely disgusting, left after being in the room for only 5 minutes didn’t even set our stuff down. Fur balls everywhere, bathroom was dirty and paint in bath tub was chipping. Lamp shades broken or missing. Staff claimed it was newly renovated and replies to other reviews saying it was currently under renovations (untrue) they can’t own up to it being dirty and nasty. No returns or refunds, save your money go somewhere else.

This place is condemned. FILTHY place. I recorded video of the room. I don’t know where to start. Heavy spider webs hanging from the ceiling and walls. FILTHY walls. BROKEN FRIDGE. No handle on the microwave. Soap tray embedded with rust. FOWL odor in the room. FILTHY curtains tied up in knots. My room was on the first floor #15, No workings locks on the FILTHY windows. I arrived late in the evening, I wasn’t able to move to another hotel that evening, I went to the store and purchased BEDBUG SPRAY. The next morning I found me another hotel room in the, south loop area in Chicago, it was up to code, decent, and clean hotel. I slept at peace.

On the funky side, and a bit run down by today’s standards, but nice and quiet (we were in the back row of rooms under the trees), comfy, and quaint…a refreshing change from the run-of-the-mill, sterile, generic, brand name motels. This one has character and charm. Think “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” but on a tiny scale. Staff were great. Will definitely stay here again!

The bathroom looked patched together in a way that looks like a code violation. Plus, there were loud characters there. One person decided to have a party and play loud music till the early morning when we were trying to sleep.

No A/C and super out dated and noisy. Never again!!

This hotel is the only reasonable priced motel in the Chicagoland area. The rooms are very clean. The staff is there for you. Can't be at it. This will always be my go to in the event I need a motel room. Jon Bell UPS Teamster.

Nothing deluxe about the deluxe room. Everything looks patched together. Couldn't use the shower due to black water raising in it plus no shower pressure at all. Not worth what I paid for it

I asked for a “Deluxe “ room. I always inspect my room. Upon entering, I noticed peeling paint, some type of leak in the closet area, and the window lock was broken. It was too late to ask for a different room. There is nothing Deluxe about this room #59. The TV had 3 working channels, 2 in Spanish…look elsewhere. Not worth it.

It was old and they had tried to do some updates and were also in process od remodeling other rooms. It was pretty far from downtown, but was fairly easy to find. Desk clerk was nice. No toiletries were provided and we had forgotten soap so it would have really helped. Would never stay there again.

Tub didn't drain. Floor around toilet was not clean. No room service. Paper thin walls.

Place was a swanky hell hole… neighbors were loud until after 1am. Owners response to complaints was I could sleep afterwards. I had to be up and back on the road at 6am. No good avoid, place is a ghetto dump and I could go on but just run!

I liked that it was close to our next day event and i didnt like that it was being remodeled at the time of our stay the bathroom door didnt shut, the tub would flood,the toilet seat was very loose and the headboard to the bed was very dirty.

Room was slightly still dirty with pieces of wrappers laying randomly around the room. One of the lamps didn’t work, was just there for filler. The check in process was fast and simple. The wait staff were fairly nice. Just a decent place to rest your head for a “reasonable” price.

This motel is under construction : therefore the currently available rooms are on the list to be reconfigured. Hammer banging over my room one day. Plus noisy guests above me who were warned by staff. Clean and basic rooms. Unfortunately there is no control for AC/Heat. Missing light bulbs in lamps. Staff seems eager to assist. My room was changed 3 times the first night. Towels are very thin and not always so clean. The major plus is free parking. Travelers must book online only, not in person.

I was surprised that the mid-week price through Hotels.com was $111/night, but when I re-upped in person it was only $75. The Hotels.com price was 48% higher! That should not happen.

of amazing TV channels with 24/7 with few if any commercials. any and all categories you could imagine. hard if you're supposed to be working because it was very tempting but.pretty amazing if you're on vacation 😁within walking distance of a Target and a ALDI grocery store .. nice clean microwave little refrigerator in room It was exceptionally quiet... Coffee ice and freshwater in the lobby... The main reason I took time to give this small motel a five-star even though it might surprise some because not state of the art AT ALL appearance-wise.... Is that having come from a more expensive motel 6 in skiller Park where I had horrendous front desk service ..endless insects.. noise you name it... And then for the first time ever deciding to call corporate simply to save other guests from the really really bad service... Well now having had these last 3 days at the Edgewood motel with all these attributes at a great price ..made this place all the more appreciated...or all the right reasons.!!!
