Reviews
The hotel has a great location and is generally clean and comfortable. However, some guests have reported issues with breakfast and unfriendly staff.
- Great location
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Breakfast is often crowded and has limited options
- Some staff members are unfriendly or unhelpful

A special thank you to Nicole at check-in. She was warm, welcoming, professional, and made a great first impression. Friendly team members like her truly enhance the guest experience. There were a few aspects of the room that could be improved. The temperature was difficult to regulate, which made it challenging to stay comfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom layout also felt a bit awkward. The sink was positioned very close to the toilet, while there was unused space beside it that could have been utilized more effectively. In addition, there was very limited counter space for getting ready. As someone attending an event, having room for makeup, toiletries, and styling tools is important. While there was a mirror in the hallway area, there wasn’t a convenient surface nearby to set a makeup bag or other items, which made getting ready less efficient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, appreciated the excellent location, and especially valued the outstanding customer service from Nicole.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and offered great tips on places to go while in town.

It was a very clean plenty room to sit It was rather basic but probably satisfactory
- 2/5
The staff was so gracious and accommodating I booked my room on 1/6/26. I requested that my room be away from the elevators .My room was directly across from elevators. My thoughts are that can probably get another room the next day. Go to desk and was told since I requested a queen that those rooms are across from the elevators. If I had gotten a notice when I booked on 1/6/26 that all queen rooms are across from the elevators, I could have had the option to get a king room, or book another hotel. As I got an answer about check in times when I booked the room. I actually called in to the hotel to confirm my stay, and again asked about my room being away from the elevators. Was told everything was good. Laquita please do better!! This is so unacceptable!

I liked the service and the friendliness of the staff.

Great location
- 3.5/5
Location was good in terms of transit options. Bed was comfortable and room was large with additional seating. Elevator's were slow and the room keys were difficult to get to work properly with them. Breakfast wasn't always ready on time and some items were not kept adequately stocked.
- 2/5
The room I received was not the room I booked. I got vouchers for drinks at the bar but the bar was closed when we tried to go (when the sign said open daily from 4 - 10pm). We tried at 5:30 and again at 7. Our room's floor were sticky.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay here. Hotel appears updated and modern. Didn’t utilize any of the meals options but looked good when we passed through the breakfast buffet area. Very busy weekend to stay. Was difficult to use elevators due to how busy the hotel was (especially being on the 9th floor). Staff was super kind and friendly. Room could have been cleaner, especially the flooring. There was one day during our stay that we didn’t receive a room cleaning which was unfortunate to come back to, but didn’t majorly impact us. Overall, I recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Everything was as expected.
- 3/5
The check in was easy and the room was fine. However, the restaurant did not have a chef, so there was no dining services for lunch or dinner, which was a big inconvenience. We were not notified about this until several nearby places were already closed. Everything else was ok.
- 5/5
Honestly great, close to everything in downtown Chicago. Hotel has a bar and restaurant.
- 5/5
This hotel is close by most everything downtown and using the L, you can get most anywhere else! Highly recommend! Staff was amazing!
- 4/5
Excellent location, as I wanted to be able to access downtown Chicago and the train station quickly. For the price, the amenities of the hotel were pretty sparse.

Location The receptionist when we checked in is not very welcoming . The facility required a $150 refundable deposit upon check in which was never mentioned when we booked . Until not it is not refunded.

- 2/5
Air condition loud as airplane. The darkest room I’ve ever been. No housekeeping. Slow reception.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Everything was fine.
- 3/5
I was never informed when I registered that there would not be any housekeeping room clean every day but every 3rd day, and if I needed it, I need to order it 24hours ahead! This is not very attractive nor hygienic for a hotel with all these customers. Also Sat and Sun restaurant is not open, again not informed or posted anywhere that I could see.
- 5/5
Area was perfect, the only thing I didn’t like is that you had to remind them about cleaning the room, getting new towels, getting the trash out. Breakfast was 10/10, most of the staff was so nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Great stay thank you
- 5/5
This was my first time in Chicago. This hotel was nice ,clean had more than enough towels in room, the rooms looked nice. The complementary breakfast was more than expected it was awesome. The bar was nice the Windy City cocktail was my favorite.
- 4/5
Great Hotel.
- 5/5
Room was very clean.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Our room was exceptionally clean! They had a great baggage storage service. Breakfast was awesome. Also, my daughter ended up getting sick in the middle of the night and they were super helpful mixture, bedding, and all the things.
- 5/5
Bed was so comfortable. Enjoyed the dining and complimentary beer. Very nice hotel, close to Amtrak Union Station.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 3/5
Great location!! Many food areas
- 5/5
Excellent would stay again
- 5/5
Clean, walking distance from hotel to many attractions and free delicious breakfast
- 4/5
Did did not prepare well for high influx of guests.
- 5/5
I was in an Uber. However, breakfast wasn't ready at 630am as intended.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good. Front desk contact a taxi for that was very quick.
- 5/5
Exelente atención. Todo limpio . Exelente en todo
- 5/5
Great location and very clean
- 5/5
Hotel was full but our stay was quiet and comfortable.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great and that staff was working hard. We arrived and couldn't check in for a couple hours due to a power outage. They said they'd call us when it was over but didn't. They need 24 hours notice to clean your room. We asked in the afternoon. They didn't do it, and when we asked why the next night they said we asked too late in the afternoon. So they really need 36 hours notice. Staff was generally helpful getting new towels and such though. Good budget hotel for the area.
- 3/5
There was a party next door in at least two to three rooms. The cops finally came after security showed up arguing in the hall. It was noisy well past 1 am. Should have been dealt with much earlier
- 3/5
Nothing to brag about

Great breakfast! Nice staff
- 4/5
the breakfast was ok. Usual nothing fancy but do the trick. Location is really great. Easy to walk, easy to get the subway or bus. Rooms are fine. Parking is in another building it is ok but you need a few more minutes to park. Staff was helpful.
- 4/5
Great location. Breakfast is good, with fresh fruits
- 4/5
The hotel room was really nice. The breakfast area was a bit crowded and we had to wait for certain dishes to be brought out. Other than that, it was a nice hotel stay.
- 2/5
The staff were a little odd, and stared a lot.
- 5/5
Really great experience, we slept like a baby , really close to everything , food 8/10 need more options , definitely coming back here. Great experience.

- 5/5
Breakfast is good and fresh.Only thing the parking is expensive
- 5/5
Great location, staff very prompt and helpful, restaurant had great bartender. Parking was located next door and very easy to maneuver.
- 5/5
My wife and I live in Peoria Illinois and we come up to Chicago once a month to get away we stay at this hotel every time the amenities are great. Breakfast is amazing. The best thing we like is the parking is validated. Yes it’s for $70, but you can come and go as you please.

- 3/5
Great and helpful and quick staff. Good stay overall. could use better management. Photos online of this hotel show a hot tub available for all guests. However, when checking in, we were told that is a years-old photo and it has since been filled in and a workout room is there instead. There was only 1 trash can in our King sized-bed with sofa bed room, and it was tucked under the bathroom sink. The breakfast was very nice with eggs and sausage and potatoes (and biscuits and gravy on Saturday) to go along with some toast and waffle-makers and yogurt and always-flowing coffee. But it got chaotic with only one poor overworked (but jovial and joking) worker having to keep everything stocked and empty quickly-filled garbage cans. Get to the breakfast a couple of hours before it ends to make sure you get what you want and not deal with chaos of crowds.
- 4/5
but the towels smelled of barbecue!! That is unusual and I have never encountered this situation before. It may be a one-off situation, but I can't predict.
- 4/5
The staff here are good at their jobs. The property itself is a bit dilapidated, but they keep it clean. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but not bad. It was what you'd expect of breakfast at a 2.5-3 star hotel... There was decent variety (e.g., waffles, sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs and sausage, yogurt and fruits), but the quality of everything was mediocre. Overall, I'd say this is a decent budget place to stay for a night or two. I'd mainly book again because of the staff keeping the place running smoothly and treating customers well.
- 3/5
I stayed for 4 nights. Took a lot of effort to get them do room service (even after i requested for it) and when they finally did, they did not replace the towels.
- 5/5
Great location. Staff was friendly. Clean rooms. Purchased parking directly next door.

Tout était top, l’hôtel, le petit déjeuner, le personnel au restaurant, l’emplacement. En plus Chicago est ville magnifique. Je rêve déjà d’y retourner. Hôtel à choisir les yeux fermés
- 5/5
Thoughtful and great staff, flexible checkout!
- 4/5
I had no issues with check in process, I had no issues with the Room everybody was nice
- 5/5
Daily towel service would be appreciated. Breakfast was good. An Expedia room away from the elevator would be nice.
- 5/5
Staff excellent! Room clean and great breakfast!
- 5/5
Our go to place to stay when we are in Chicago. Staff is friendly and helpful and beds are comfy. The only downside is that the ventilation system seems a bit noisy to us, we are used to very quiet conditions when sleeping.
- 5/5
This place is clean and spacious and the most wonderful bonus is that the people are so nice! My check in was later in the evening - the person at the front desk was really pleasant and the manager swooped by with some extra friendliness. I thought I might have just gotten lucky but when I went for the included breakfast the next morning, the people working at the buffet were also gregarious and warm and happy. I’m guessing that management is nurturing a culture of value for their workers and it shows. Keep it up!
- 5/5
Check-in was efficient and pleasant. The room was very clean. Breakfast was quite elaborate, unusual for a complimentary meal. One of the staff in the breakfast room was a ray of sunshine! Her name is Ariane and she deserves a raise. Her friendliness to every single patron was just lovely to behold. We left our bags in storage while we explored the town and retrieved them easily in time to get to our train. An altogether positive experience. I now love Chicago!
- 5/5
I couldn't find any water at the breakfast buffet....
- 5/5
The room was particularly updated, but it was clean and well set up. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the bar one night. Everything we wanted to see was easily walkable from the hotel.
- 5/5
The staff were professional, but also very welcoming! Room was clean! Definitely would recommend staying at this establishment!!
- 5/5
Amenities were all clean! Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, too, we really liked the potatoes baked with green pepper. They partner with a parking garage, but it is literally beside the building and so it's easy and convenient to access. Surrounding areas also feel very safe, and this area of Chicago is very beautiful!
- 5/5
Very spacious and clean rooms
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful
- 2/5
The location was good and the staff was kind.
- 5/5
Super Happy with our stay….. breakfast was so good aswell ❤️coming a back !
- 5/5
Great location. Nice room.
- 5/5
My stay at LaQuinta was very nice, and I felt relaxed and comfortable. The restaurant, although busy, had all desired choices, with excellent presentation. I tried to get a reservation on the way back but waited too long! Next time I will plan further ahead!
- 4/5
Lots of undeserved attitude at the front desk
- 4/5
Good location, gym was decent. Didn’t love that you had to pay to store your bags after checking out - usually that’s a free item.
- 4/5
The hotel is good
- 4/5

Clean room/ good breakfast
- 2/5
Snooty staff at check in, but not really a problem, I can be snooty right back. The party down the hall was LOUD, and continued after I called the front desk. Hole in the bathroom ceiling? Really? $200 for motel 6 experience!
- 5/5
Definitely enjoyed my time here. It was a romantic getaway for me and my boyfriend. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed.
- 2/5
Had to ask a few times for a trash bag.
- 5/5
The property was pet friendly and the room was clean
- 4/5
Staff was kind.
- 4/5
Tub drain was clogged but maintenance fixed it right away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, but it was free, so no complaints. The set up made for a chaotic, somewhat frustrating experience at the busiest time in the morning, but again, tolerable. Clean hotel. No major issues during our 5 night stay.
- 5/5
Clean and updated facility, including the room and common areas. Beautiful lounge with large windows. Nice perks: free breakfast every day, and free drink tickets. Centrally located in the Loop. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Café da manhã fraco, desorganizado.
- 4/5
This was a quick stay one night I did not get time to enjoy the amenities but next time in Chicago I will
- 4/5
Conveniently located within walking distance of many places. It was nice having a restaurant next door. The room was clean and ready for us when we checked in, but the bottom edge of the shower door was moldy. Breakfast was well stocked continuously with fresh food despite a huge crowd.
- 4/5
Came from Kansas City for a Bulls game. Great location in a comfortable room. We had a very nice to two day stay.
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
El lugar está céntrico, cómodo y los del staff son amables !! Estuvimos hospedados una semana y si nos gustó ⭐️
- 5/5
Impressed with the huge room. And the toiletries provided. Breakfast was very good. Would recommend
- 5/5
Close to many attractions, restaurants. Including breakfast is a plus. Recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
The staff are great. Great location. Booked this hotel as it advertised laundry machines which were no longer available and this was not communicated at any point until we went looking for them and asked. The gym was hot every morning. The elevators were very very slow and often unclean.
- 5/5
good
- 2/5
Breakfast was okay. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. However, I was disappointed when I contacted the hotel through Expedia. They did not answer my questions or address my concerns. I was charged more than the bill stated, and they haven't provided any explanation or response to my inquiries.
- 3/5
Breakfast was the same thing every day and the toaster didn’t work 2 of the 5 days we were there
- 3/5
The room was average, hadn’t seemed to have been vacuumed. Breakfast was running low but there were many guests there so might have been hard to keep up with.
- 3/5
Room dirty
- 5/5
Great location and easy to public transportation.
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast
- 5/5
Breakfast is ok. Not much choice of bread (only white bread during weekday). Air conditioning was good.
- 4/5
This was a nice place for the price. Was within 10 minutes walking distance from the Amtrak. The place was clean and fairly modern. We had planned to eat at the Restaurant but there were not a lot of menu options, so we went elsewhere. The staff were not overly friendly, but all in all a good experience.
- 3/5
The breakfast buffet was chaotic. Nothing was organized, most of the food was gone or things weren’t working, there wasn’t enough space for everyone. The room was nice and large, but the staff was not helpful or friendly.
- 3/5
The location was good. Beds and pillows were comfortable.
- 5/5
Great location with near access to the rail system and buses. Staff always would get us what we would ask for water, towels, and directions.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Highly recommend.
- 5/5
The suite was great
- 4/5
Otherwise, everything was great including an adequate breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff, good breakfast.
- 5/5
Our stay was Great!, very clean and nice Breakfast Good location for our visit.
- 5/5
Everything was nice just didn't understand the designation fee.
- 5/5
Clean room, the complimentary drink at the bar.
- 4/5
We had a nice comfortable stay! My husband, son, and I enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed slept good and the front desk staff was nice. I noticed the couch in our room was worn and dirty. Could use a few clean and that will get it back to shape. I loved that we got to park in the garage and could easily uber or walk to our destinations.
- 1/5
I need a full refund. I decided not to stay at this property after they accused me of smoking and I don't smoke.
- 4/5
Clean. Helpful staff. Appreciated wide doors and bigger area qhen entering room.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic, room, staff, breakfast
- 4/5

- 4/5
Room was very good. Breakfast was mediocre. Front desk staff was disinterested.
- 5/5
Great location, clean
- 4/5

- 5/5
The room was nice and comfy the breakfast/bar located on the second floor. It’s $60 to park a night it was my son 9 bday we came from Detroit to find something to do we was able to walk to the sky walk building that was a Great experience I hate elevators but I manage to go up 103 floors my ears was clogged up bad then I went and got my car out the hotel garage and went to the Navy Peri and got on the Fly Over Chicago ride another Awesome experience then we left there and took a uber to 360 tilt I was too scared so I paid for my kids to get on. Had a good time here in Chicago I’ll be back in June to do some boat rides
- 4/5
Room was nice and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
It was a clean room and comfortable mattrees. We like it that there is a microwave and fridge in the room; good complimentary continental breakfast. We would like to especially acknowledge the lady working in the breakfast area. She was very pleasant and attentive to guests, a good way to start our day.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Our room was very clean and had a cool view. We had breakfast several times, and there were always plenty of good options. The front desk staff was also very helpful. We thought Crystal was absolutely wonderful!

- 5/5
Staff were all so friendly and helpful! And the breakfast was really really good! I also really appreciated the Noodles and Company in the same lobby area. It was a nice and easy option for a hot meal without walking in unfamiliar area. Thank you all so much.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were courteous and helpful, and breakfast was solid.
- 4/5
Everything was great, only gripe is I called before arrival and was told parking would be 60$ total for 2 days but when I arrived it was 60$ per day.
- 5/5
Very nice staff and breakfast had so many choices
- 5/5
Very clean room. Great service and nice staff! Would book again!
- 3/5
The hear in the room stayed at the pret temperature of 66.
- 5/5
Staff was very personable and the stay was pleasant. Room was clean.
- 5/5
My only complaint is that we had to wait for our room because we got there early and in order to use the bathroom in the public area, you had to ask for a key. Otherwise it was a great stay!
- 5/5
Very clean and no noise!
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. Ms. Simone was a great receptionist. Very poliet and helpful
- 5/5

Check in desk staff was friendly. Room was clean and spadious. Great breakfast buffet included.
- 5/5
The room was very nice!
- 5/5
Clean, great location
- 3/5
They had to look up the reservation when I arrived + the person at the front desk was pretty rude. Definitely would have chosen another hotel had I known.
- 4/5
Courteous staff and well located downtown.
- 5/5
The place was clean, our room was nice and our luggage was held since we arrived too early to check in.
- 4/5
The staff and facilities were as expected and appreciated. Our only complaint was the signage to find you!! Even with GPS, which stuggles to work around all the tall buildings, we circled the blocks several times before having to call the hotel to find it! It was dusk and very VERY hard to see the sign, it needs to be lit!!
- 5/5
The location is perfect, the staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Excellent service and very clean.
- 3/5
The mattress are really bad
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Right in downtown, super walkable area. Free breakfast. You can get 2 free water bottles per day which is a nice touch. Only downsides are the room didn’t have many outlets to plug in phone chargers and you need to figure out your own parking. There’s 2 garages right next to it though for convenience.
- 5/5
Yes. Beautiful and very clean
- 4/5
Clean, cool staff, breakfast was decent. It was convenient by all events. Had no clue this was downtown hidden gem
- 5/5
Nice staff , clean hotel and rooms. Breakfast good
- 5/5
The room was very nice , Leona was the person I check in was rude . I didn’t know she was a women , I asked my daughter what he is saying, she told me I’m she, I was confused for a moment because in front of me I saw a men with make up. Is he wants every one call her a women , maybe needs to wear the proper make up and speak nice to the costumer.
- 5/5
We had 2 suites from 12/26-12/28. Very reasonably priced, very comfortable, spacious. We had my daughter's 90 pound English lab and the pet fee was 25/night as advertised on Expedia. When we arrived they said the charge was 40/night but I was able to show proof on the Expedia site and the $25 price was honored. Short walk to the bean, Millennial Park. Not a very dog friendly City - many green spaces prohibit dogs. The hotel however, was fantastic!
- 3/5
The room was in great condition, but the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing, but also very crowded. You cannot beat the location, and the staff was helpful. I would probably pay a bit more due to the bedding issue.
- 3/5
The choices of breakfast were very limited. The food would not be refilled even before 30 minutes from the closing time. The drawers and wood floor in the room were kind of dusty. The fan was noisy during the nighttime.
- 5/5
Very nice staff, good breakfast options, and comfy room.
- 1/5
The location was great, and the room was clean. The food was also good in the morning. Unfortunately, we did not get much sleep.
- 5/5
Only complaint is the lack of parking & the cost of the parking $$$$
- 4/5
Location and rooms were nice staff was ok as well would stay here again
- 5/5
Great stay, polite helpful staff!
- 5/5
Seemed like a super busy night but the staff still handled us with care. Our room was doubled booked on some sort of technical accident but we got upgraded. So it made the stay 10x better. We really enjoyed our stay. Barely even left the room.
- 3/5
Everything was good except one of the worker at breakfast area. Never do refill for juice when was been more then 10 minutes to finish breakfast and when you ask very rude. I stay many times on downtown Chicago and first time the breakfast staff(iñ
- 5/5
Front desk was informative about parking and essential info related to our stay. Breakfast was good! Coffee was solid, biscuits and gravy was good.
- 5/5
Stayed here for a quick two day visit and we appreciated the amenities. The free breakfast was a nice added bonus. It was conveniently located to shopping and transportation and I would absolutely stay here again
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 1/5
It felt dirty and disgusting. Front desk changed random $17 for discounts on tours. I was in town for phantom of the opera. No boat tours in December in Chicago. This felt like a complete scam. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Very clean room. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was tasty.
- 4/5
Our room was clean. Convenient parking next door in parking structure. Daily breakfast was nice however the coffee was horrible. One morning I got a mouth full of coffee grinds.
- 1/5
Horrible and didn’t get my room deposit back, over charged for sure
- 4/5
Everything is going well but I need late checkout
- 5/5
Staff is EXCELLENT!! They were very helpful and kind to us and specially to my mom who is in a wheel chair.
- 3/5
I was a little aggravated, Due to several different issues
- 2/5
When we checked into our room, there were dirty sheets on the pullout couch. The conditioner and body soap was completely empty. For the 3 nights, the trash wasn't taken once. Was told that bottles of water would be put in our room each day and water never arrived.
- 5/5
Just a couple of hitches... The streaming TV sysem you use is execrable. 45 seconds to switch channels, the "Guide" has no data. There are much better systems availablle. Can't think of another except: WE WANT THE WAFFLE MACHINE returned to the Breakfast Room! See you after Spring Thaw!
- 4/5
All of it!
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful checking and the room was great !
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, nice treat bag.

- 3/5
Service and condition of the property desired improvements

Check in was amazing, wonderful staff, not our first stay here and won’t be the last. Thank you!
- 5/5
Kind and very helpful staff! This hotel is also very clean.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and excellent breakfast!
- 5/5
Everything was great with our stay. The hotel room was spacious and clean. Everyone from the front desk to the ladies preparing breakfast were helpful and friendly. There was a very good variety for breakfast. We would stay here again!
- 5/5
The rooms are lovely. The staff is helpful!
- 3/5
Room is nice but done communication issue among front staff. Some staff has ridiculous attitude.
- 5/5
Location was great , price was good , elevator needs a lot of maintenance
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and convenient. I really enjoyed my stay. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Nice hotel downtown
- 5/5
Nice and clean hotel. Late night/ overnight staff was jut very friendly but other than that I had a great stay and would go back
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Great hotel for the price. Exceeded expectations.

Room clean, decent bed. Not sure who adds the destination fee tho.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Love the gift bag of popcorn and sweets!
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff, central location (close to union station and metro options).
- 5/5
It’s walking distance from the chriskringle Market . And tons of shopping in the area . Very clean and offer breakfast .
- 5/5
No Complaints
- 5/5
Right next to venue
- 5/5
Love this hotel. It’s clean, staff is nice, great location
- 4/5
Overnight, this is a convenient place to stay in the Loop. I was not impressed by the front desk staffer (Leona) who seemed like the job of checking me in was an imposition. The room was fine, quiet during the night. screaming child
- 2/5
The room was far from acceptable. Could not sleep as the cold air return rattled and was extremely loud. Never shut off. Could hear loud noises once you got of the elevator. After midnight and too late to get my husband and grandson up to move. Hotel was no sympathetic and only offered to open a reward program and gave it 1500 points which is only $15!!! For a room that cost $175 and unable to sleep due to their issues I feel $15 is less than acceptable
- 5/5
My stay met my expectations based upon the prior guest ratings and reviews. The front desk person who checked me in could use some remedial training on guest relations. No enthusiasm - a little kind welcome and positive words would be helpful!
- 5/5
Everything was great and breakfast was delicious.
- 3/5
Except for some mildew in the bathroom, we really liked it!
- 5/5
The employeea were courteous and kept the food fresh and hot
- 1/5
Both of us had ice cold showers, body wash was out and hair dryer didnt work We also called prior to see if our room was available less than an hour before check in They said it was but when we arrived that was not the case. I told the front desk ahout this and nothing was done. We stay at la quintas all the time and this was our worst experience
- 4/5
Clean room, helpful staff
- 5/5
The room was very clean, comfortable pillows and the parking garage was right next door.
- 5/5
Great location. Hotel was great for a weekend stay
- 4/5
Courtious staff, clean rooms, easy check in
- 5/5
The hotel is very walkable from Union Station.
- 5/5
Everything was fine
- 4/5
Clean room, great location, courteous staff.
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was o.k. I don't like that they charged extra for amenities you might not use. Bed was soft. But overall, a very nice place to stay.
- 5/5
Clean room and loved the free breakfast.
- 3/5
Staff was courteous, but room was fairly dirty; I kept finding hairs in various parts of the room. The "resort" fee was kinda bogus.
- 1/5
Because they sold out! It was a nightmare to deal with. It was too late for us to find a new hotel because it was so late and we were already in Chicago. They gave us 2 absolutely disgusting rooms for the night. The mattresses were stained and nasty. The bathroom was so dirty. There were no sheets for the futan or pillows or blankets. The futan was a twin sized 2 inch mattress that had urine stains all over it. It was such a terrible experience! Worst experience!
- 4/5
The room wasn’t cleaned once in 3 days but aside from that it was awesome
- 5/5
The amenities did it for us. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected.the room was super clean and cozy, everything I needed for a great stay. Thanks for the hospitality
- 4/5
Yes
- 1/5
Terrible! Do not stay here. I was charged a $ 70 “resort fee” for four nights. There is no “resort” anywhere in the hotel. A huge scam. Rooms are not cleaned everyday, strange people loitering in the lobby… Just has a weird vibe. Never again!
- 5/5
The hotel staff was very helpful, parking was painless and the rooms were very clean.
- 5/5
Everyone was friendly and helpful, room was clean. Breakfast was really good!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, great pricing that is within walking/scootering distance of a lot of great places.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
I don’t like the smell of marijuana in the hotel; maybe many people had smoked before coming in.
- 5/5
great experience. staffs are so nice.
- 5/5
Nice staff at the desk. Clean rooms. Breakfast was better than expected.
- 1/5
i arrived and the security deposit was almost double the cost of the room and was very unexpected i had to cancel my reservation with nowhere else to go
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay here.
- 4/5
My hotel stay was good. Parking was easy with the garage that is right next door to the hotel. If you pay for parking at the hotel, you get in and out privileges. Breakfast was good with lots of hot and cold options. There is a $17.61 per day resort charge that I was unaware of at the time of booking. The hotel states it is on their website but not on third party sites like hotels.com.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice. Breakfast was great! Clean room and comfy bed.
- 5/5
I haven had the breakfast yet but it will probably be as nice as everything here. Definitely planning to stay here again.
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Comfortable room, great breakfast the next day. Location was close to Union Station for our trip the next day. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Great location, fresh, clean rooms excellent breakfasts
- 4/5
I don't care about echo-friendliness
- 5/5
The room, gym, and breakfast stood out because they were all large and surpassed our expectations. Check in and check out were quick and seamless.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
but the "3D-printed" pancakes are too thin. Same goes for the flat egg rounds. I'd expect better from a La Quinta.
- 4/5
Clean room. Great location.
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Room was nice, breakfast was good. Front desk was great.
- 5/5
Jawanna was awesome! Lounge music was jamming too!
- 3/5
The room was decent enough, plenty of pillows. But the shower was scolding hot to sear your skin off. And the TV played for about an hour the one night and then auto shut off, would not come back on. Next morning tried again, lasted maybe 20 minutes before automatically shutting off again and would not turn back on. Was frustrating. Staff was nice, friendly, professional. Breakfast was pretty good.
- 5/5

- 5/5
The ladies doing the breakfast were wonderful. We especially appreciated the early opening to accommodate the marathon runners.
- 1/5
I had made a call to make price comparisons prior to booking with Expedia and the person at the desk told me that I was a liar and would never get it for the price that he quoted $800 and hung up, I dialed the hotel and hit option 5 to speak with an actual person at the hotel, I advised the manager and he said it never happened and if it did it was a mistake, I am a physician and retired Navy that was a choice and not a mistake. He said he didn’t feel it was a need to deduct nor was it an issue, the first night we had to have the sheets changed, stains all over.
- 5/5
The only thing that sucks about this property, is the 66 it cost to park per day.
- 5/5
Clean, well maintained, efficient staff, nice breakfast area, easy walk to several main attractions. Highly recommended.
- 4/5
Very good location
- 3/5
Breakfast was quite like 2 star hotel . The service was real poor
- 5/5
Not sure about the pancake machine….slow and then pancakes were hard to cut….2 waffle machines might be best. Oatmeal was good and layout was efficient.
- 5/5
The hotel is near Union Station and Lyric Opera. There are convenient busses to the Art Institute and shopping.
- 5/5
Very convenient location, clean, comfortable and friendly.
- 5/5
I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area over the years. This is the first one I would come back to. The only issues I had with the hotel, are they don't give you lids for coffee and they don't do housekeeping.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 4/5
Very nice for price and location

She handed the elevator on key but did explain where we were staying and overall unhelpful. I requested blankets for my room and Jessica brought 2 damp towel-like blankets and l yet again had to call the again had to call the front desk for additional assistance. Alicia brought the proper materials. But the initial encounter and lack of customer service put a very sour taste in my mouth and I will not be booking with La Quinta in the future. Check out process was an odd one as there was no one stationed at the front desk when it was time to check out. For the amount of money I paid, this was not a pleasant experience and you all must do good.
- 5/5
We were accidentally assigned the wrong room number and we couldn't get into the room. After the desk clerk discovered her error and gave us the correct number, she then came to our room to make sure we got in okay and that everything was satisfactory. Everyone was very pleasant.
- 5/5
Everything was great when it came to staff and room but breakfast was trash best thing was pancake maker and deposit cost more than the nightly rate and some destination fee which is another way for Chicago to get money.
- 5/5
Very convenient and walk able area.
- 5/5
Very quiet, great service, friendly and the breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Clean room, adequate, nice staff. Walked from train station easily. Because my trip was so short, I was not pleased with the one night price tag. Way too expensive! and because I had an early train I wasn’t able to partake of my complimentary breakfast.
- 3/5
Mattress was very uncomfortable. Sheets scratchy & thin. Rooms need updating seemed dirty.
- 4/5
Hot breakfast was not hot. Batheoom was spotless, but not sure about room. Staff was excellent.
- 4/5
Wonderful room, staff and location. Thank you.
- 3/5
I stayed four nights and the cleaning was never done, I had to get all the trash cans and picked
- 4/5
I like the hotel and its location but what I didn’t appreciate much was that I arrived on Friday and left on Sunday. They didn’t clean ur room on this interval of days. Besides, breakfast could have been better.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at La Quinta — probably one of the best La Quintas we’ve stayed at! The hotel was very clean, and we loved how secure everything felt. It’s conveniently located near the Chicago train (metro/subway) and within walking distance of the water taxi, making it super easy to get around the city. Before booking, I did my research and saw quite a few one-star reviews, which honestly made me hesitate. But I decided to take the chance — and I’m so glad I did! I’m not sure why those reviews were so low, because our experience was far from a one-star stay. It’s probably just really picky guests leaving those, because this hotel definitely deserves better. Breakfast was great — they served a hot breakfast with a nice variety of options, and even had a pancake-making machine, which was such a fun touch! The hotel also offers luggage storage if you arrive before check-in. Our flight landed early at 8 AM, and they stored our bags for $5 per bag, which was totally worth it rather than carrying them around the city. Overall, it was close to everything but still away from the noisy parts of town. We’d definitely stay here again next time we visit Chicago!
- 3/5
We arrived 130 and the room was ready but we would’ve had to pay close to $90 extra. We had them store our bags for $5 per bag. There was no bedding in room for the hide-abed. Not even extra blankets in closet. My husband went down to deal and it was brought up shortly thereafter. After checkout, stored the exact same bags. Got charged for 6 because we had our computer bags attached to our luggage bags. They were tied and securely attached that there was no way they’d be separated , which they did separate them. Found it to be more for the money than customer service.
- 5/5
Room was quiet and clean. Everything worked.
- 5/5
Everything was ok
- 4/5
Safe, clean but no frills. I hate rubber floors for easy cleaning.
- 3/5
The location is great. The rooms are big, and the beds are good. The shower is great. However, the room could look better if they would replace the broken lamp shades. The room is also dark. No safe in the room unfortunately. Breakfast is free, and not spectacular. Staff was very nice. You can get free bottles of water and a snack bag daily at the reception, which was nice. We arrived early, so we couldn't go into the room yet, which was fine. However, we had to pay $5 per bag to be put in a luggage room for safe keeping. I have been to many hotels in the US and in Europe and I never had to pay for putting my bags in a locked area until I could get in a room.
- 5/5
Very clean. Only downfall was the main elevator was not working
- 4/5

Apart from parking, everything is excellent.
- 5/5
Hotel is clean, breakfast is decent. Location is great.
- 5/5
Very nice Hotel and the staff is helpful accommodating.
- 4/5
La Quinta did not do daily housekeeping in my room during my 3-day stay. Did not make the bed, empty trash, replace towels, or provide coffee for the second and third days. The complimentary breakfast was above average. The bed was comfortable. Bedding was of good quality. The room I was assigned had not been serviced, so I had to return to the front desk to request a different room!
- 4/5
Staff Was Very Friendly. Rooms Were Clean. I Will Stay Again!! Thank You Everyone For The Warm Welcome.
- 4/5
Clean room!
- 4/5
But carpets were not clean and felt dirty and sticky
- 5/5
The small "convenience" store had very little variety and needs a refresh and restock .
- 3/5
The area was nice and very walkable. Lots of great dining close by. The bed(s) in my room were worn out and very uncomfortable. For that reason, I would not stay at this location again. Otherwise, I had a great experience in downtown Chicago!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Thank you to everyone at the hotel.
- 5/5
Lovely staff and great rooms at great price and location!
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room, friendly staff and convenient location.
- 5/5
Good place to stay
- 5/5
Handy for Union Station and Lyric Opera.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and beautiful. I would recommend that the beds have a mattress cover. The building only had one working elevator which made it difficult to get in and out.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, decent gym, ok breakfast.
- 4/5
I’ve had better breakfasts at your chain. No hard boiled eggs, the pancakes out of the automatic machine weren’t cooked, sausages were laying in water or something didn’t look appetizing. There was only white bread and bagels no raisin bread, English muffins, whole wheat bread.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 1/5
very dirty
- 5/5
Room was fine. Stayed 3 nights but no one ever came to replace towels or clean room
- 5/5
Family friendly
- 5/5
I really enjoyed the stay here. The property was great for the price and very walkable. One of the better continental breakfasts I’ve had. The staff working breakfast and the front desk were very attentive and nice
- 4/5
Overall I thought the stay was really good, the only complaints I have were lack of water options that weren’t behind a pay wall and that house keeping was extremely loud and didn’t get the memo of our late checkout and woke us up banging on the door 2 times within an hour. Staff was friendly and let us check our bags before our train left the station during the hours we had to kill in the afternoon. They also let us have a late checkout which was convenient as we got back to the hotel late the night prior. This was my second time staying at this location and I’d be willing to come back a third time in the future if travel plans aligned.
- 5/5
Very nice location downtown Chicago. Great price as well. Breakfast!!! Beautiful. Downtown hotel so parking would be "fun". Parking garage beside them but not owed by them.. Check-in was easy and can unload on street or roundabout behind.
- 5/5
Loved being in the heart of the city. Easy transportation by bus. Friendly and informative staff!
- 4/5
The stay was nice and was in a good location for getting food and walking to sight seeing attractions. The bathtub//shower was out of date, but it was clean. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t good, but it was fine.
- 4/5
excellant breakfast with friendly service
- 4/5
I like tgat there is parkomg right nect to the hotel but i dont like that the hotel doesnt have some type of deal where your parking is validated to where you arent paying a huge amount to stay. Also wish that ALL fees were included in the booking especially if your splitting cost with people. Any taxes, destination fees, etc. Just include it when I book it online, whether through hotel site or a third party.
- 5/5
Very nice stay
- 5/5
Accommodation and attendants are welcoming and request for additional beddings came promptly.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The location of the hotel was great. It was close to Union Station and Grant Park. We went to Lolapalooza. We were able to check our backpacks at the hotel for $5. The room was comfortable.
- 5/5
This is my 3rd stay at this hotel I find it very convenient for me easy walking distance to shops and the Coffee Bean and the park
- 4/5
Staff were nice and room was cozy, however our room had mold on the ceiling of the bathroom.
- 4/5
The property was great and so were the people. the only thing I missed were some standard amenities, i.e., shower cap, soap dish, Kleenex, movie channels like Netflix or Prime, and 2-3 Q-Tips. I realize these are small things but they are so every essential when you don't have them. Although...there are several stores in the area and I easily picked them up.
- 4/5
Convenient to Union Station
- 2/5
The hotels rooms were good but the services were below average for the price point I paid I felt that I wouldn’t come back here
- 3/5
I reserved a king size bed and k got a queen
- 5/5
Excellent stay top to bottom. Check in and out was flawless. Breakfast was delicious and the lady watching over the hot food on the breakfast buffet was exceptionally friendly and kept everything full. Would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Parking was very close and friendly staff
- 5/5
Excellent location, clean and comfortable room, and friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Would definitely stay here again
- 3/5
BEWARE THEY DO NOT HOLD YOUR BAGS FOR FREE. Our room wasn't ready and we had a play to go to. They charged us $5 for every single bag we had no matter the size. The rooms are a nice size and location was good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Joe was extremely nice. The room was fairly clean. There was some food on the floor by the door, the bathrooms had peeling paint and mildew, and there had been a water leak that was evident above one of the beds. The refrigerator got so cold it froze everything. Its not a bad hotel but expected a little more for the price.
- 5/5
Good location. Very safe( had security and restricted access by key). Although the facility is a little old, but to compare the price it is acceptable.
- 5/5
I love how clean everything was. It was so close to food, fun things to do, and everyone was nice. Thank you for such a good experience! 100/10 recommended, and definitely will come back.
- 4/5
Hotel was nice. A bit overpriced for what it offered. Rooms were clean. Breakfast room was too full, not enough tables and chairs for seating.

- 5/5
Very nice clean and spacious rooms
- 4/5
pefer for citywalk, easy to most of atrractions.
- 2/5
If you’re looking for covience in down town then this is the hotel for you- but for the price you get no view. Windows view is of all the other hotel rooms kinda like a prison circle haha no cap. But also it was 10:02 and we got noise complaint ig we were being too loud, but it was just me and my sister in the room and laughing so if we been getting noise complaints then there’s no sound proofing anything in there. My sister woke up with bites
- 5/5
It was within walking distance from all major attractions
- 5/5
great place
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Nice place and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Great area near restaurants train station, walkable to many tourist attractions
- 4/5
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
It was ok. I only had coffee too congested to get any food. Lots of toast and meat. The chips and brownie at check in are cute in you like that kind of thing. For what I paid not impressed but it did its job.
- 1/5
.
- 4/5
They should need to upgrade the TV in the rooms as they are outdated and you get stuck with same things.
- 4/5
We had to check in a 1 AM and it was a quick stay but the breakfast was fine and the room comfortable
- 5/5
Great downtown option.
- 5/5
The location was very convenient. I would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
However, was very disappointed with the breakfast, as there were no options for vegetarians. Plastic and steroform cutlery and crockery for breakfast was totally a no go for this standard of property. The room had a coffee dispenser but no coffee or tea pods / sachets. The front office staff were helpful and friendly which was a nice.
- 3/5
It was clean but the rooms were cold tempertaure 24/7
- 5/5
Arrived late exhausted....required sleep. Morning breakfast lovely with assortment of breakfast foods.
- 5/5
Not enough fresh fruit options for breakfast; hot breakfast items were ok, but too dry. Rooms were clean but not deep cleaned. Upon arrival immediately needed maintenance to unclog the bathroom sink drain so questioned if housekeeping had run the faucet otherwise they would have noticed that. Corners with lots of dust. Staff was always friendly and very responsive.
- 3/5
The room was spacious, but I thought a bit smelly of stale sweat? Might need carpet cleaned. The breakfast was mediocre, no brown bread and all plates and cutlery throw away.
- 4/5
comfy bed, med firm.
- 4/5
Good stay was clean but breakfast needs some better quality food
- 5/5
My wife and I arrived at the motel a little after 4 AM. We have a reservation supposed to be there will be around 6 PM. Different occasions. Tell them that we were running horribly late they held a room for us at 4:30 this morning
- 5/5
It was a great stay Parking is horrible beds were comfortable breakfast was decent hotel is almost a 5 star if the front desk people were a little more knowledgeable about parking and if the parking accommodated a truck which it doesn't.
- 5/5
Me and my friends stayed here for lollapalooza and it was good walking distance from grant park, it was quiet and the room was nice and spacious, i would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great service. Wonderful staff.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
It was perfect
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay here and staff was super friendly!
- 4/5
Very close for transportation and point of interest!
- 2/5
Bathroom sick was slow to drain.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Stayed for 5 nights while attending Lollapalooza. Convenient 15 minute walk to Grant Park. Breakfast was great- Ariana (sp) is a treasure and a joy in the breakfast room! Coffee is great (huge plus imo) and biscuits & gravy were delish. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. We'd stay again.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. We were able to walk to most places or were easily able to grab an Uber. Hotel was super clean and the complementary breakfast was great. Only issue was staff checking us in. He seemed pop in
- 3/5
Decent stay in a good location. I stayed here as it was the most affordable option during Lolapalooza. I was told that we would only get housekeeping on the third day of our 4 day stay with I didn’t think was a great point of customer service. Beds were ok, kind of soft but we slept alright. Breakfast was ok but better Thursday and Friday as somehow oatmeal, yogurt and bagels disappeared on the weekend. The highlight was the restaurant wait staff who were always happy and friendly.
- 4/5
Nice hotel for the price. Good breakfast. Watch out for the hidden 17.60 charge for bottled water in the room they don’t disclose to you. Figured being by the glasses it was included, guess not!
- 5/5
Everything was exactly as I thought it would be. The room was super clean and the service was excellent!
- 5/5
Buena comida y muy segura el area y muy limpio
- 5/5
Quick walk to Ogilvie Train station and the Bean. Breakfast was great. Loved the welcome gift of Garrett's popcorn
- 1/5
The property was not clean, the air condition in our room didn't work , and the breakfast food was disgusting.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was great. The hotel was packed. The breakfast was a challenge with the high numbers of guests, but that team worked hard to feed everyone.
- 3/5
Convenient location; clean on odor-free; sub-par breakfast; no housekeeping.
- 5/5
See above
- 4/5
All I needed…hotel in the loop, a block from the L, breakfast.
