All black staff, very inviting. Close and affordable parking. Had the pool alone, nice outside deck to chill and grill along with smores. Breakfast is ideal but a little sauced up

The area around the hotel is walkable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is courteous.

My stay at the Hyatt House was great. With spacious clean rooms, friendly staff, good amenities, and breakfast varieties your stay in the heart of Chicago will be one full of adventure and memories.

The entrance area on the street level needs updated/cleaned and decorated to reflect the quality of the Hyatt. When we first walked in we didn't think we were in the right place.

Breakfast was ok, but very happy to have it regardless. The scrambled eggs were funny - were they powdered by any chance? The oatmeal was excellent! All the meat seemed to be turkey based, that was yuck. The coffee was very good. The breakfast staff were very attentive and very friendly. I didn't like the scrambled egg consistency or the turkey breakfast meat. Everything else was super!

The property was very well-maintained, just a few minor things here and there (scuff marks, a little peeling paint, etc). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a great location, within easy walking distance of some great food options; you would need to take the El or drive to get into the heart of downtown, Soldier Field, etc. The rooftop deck has a great view and is the perfect way to end your evening.

Valet is expensive but staff got your car quick. Great customer service all around. Rooms were clean and new. Breakfast was good and service there with wait staff were all very nice.

Check in was at 3 and we tried to check in at 3:48 and our room was still not ready. Valet took a very long time . The bar was also closed on a Saturday night which was unfortunate. There was also not enough bedding for the pull out couch . For the amount of money I paid, my expectations were not met at all.

The valet is $72 dollars additional for over night, and the valet stole a $5 bill I had in my car. I know it was there right before dropping off, and was it not there after. I did not make a big deal out of it because I would have probably have tipped that much or more, but I would never use them again. It just says something when someone will risk their reputation and job to steal a $5 bill. The room was nice, but it is definitely not sound proof as it claims. We were next to a family with a baby and small kids so we heard the crying all night, and the kids tv shows blaring, and parents yelling. Buffet only went to 9am, so hard to get to after a concert the night before. The neighborhood was nice for walking.

We ran into an issue with parking for valet. The hotel adjusted this. Great location for walkable restaurants. We do like the location and the amenities they offered like the washing machine and the little market. It was just not a great sleep for us.

The room was perfect for family of 5, hotel was beautiful. Breakfast great! Literally the only thing I can complain about is the parking was $72 a night.

The staff were consistently outgoing and friendly. Not in an artificial, "you're at a hotel" way. Helpful, genuine.

Everything was great except running out of breakfast food 39 minutes before closing. No eggs or sausage, when I arrived. Plan accordingly or close earlier…you should feed for the time advertised.

We never had an early breakfast during our stay. The last 45 minutes suffered in our opinion. Favorite food was not replaced and even coffee was sometimes allowed to run out. There was a good variety in general. Our stay involved Memorial Day weekend and this location was very busy.

While clean and a staff that’s helpful, the cost of the hotel had us expecting toilet paper that was useable and breakfasts that weren’t cold and actually full options until the time ended. We arrived to eat Saturday 45 minutes before breakfast ended and things were not refilled, the last waffle was hard as a rock. Staff was friendly and cleaning so everything looked great, just extremely disappointing to have two breakfasts that were cold and left us hungry. As for the toilet paper, it dissolves practically before you can use it. The cost of having a car is extremely high. I think we just anticipated some basic things being of higher quality based on cost to stay and park.

No major problems - parking is expensive but you can use SpotHero to find less expensive parking overnight; staff was just fine; breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about= but certainly adequate options and portions. All in all it was a good place, well located.

The breakfast was nice, they even had gluten free options. The location is great. There was no blanket for the couch bed, just a sheet, we had to ask 3 times before one was delivered. no housekeeping to replenish towels. (2 night stay)

Everything was clean, staff were very polite and helpful, valet parking was a breeze, and the breakfast buffet was far better than expected.

The pool hours were to be open until 10, the doors to the pool were locked at 9. We used the grill on the rooftop and needed plates and tongs. We went to the lobby to request these items. They refused to give them to us but instead had them brought up to us. Okay, that’s fine, but nobody ever brought them so we had to use a plastic fork to flip burgers. Overall just wasn’t impressed with the hotel. Nice area of town and felt safe but for the money spent I feel like we would have been better off elsewhere.

One of the best says at any property EVER! such an amazing staff...even the valet staff (Tristan) was amazing...everyone willing to take a moment out of their day to help! Great location and our room was super spacious and SPOTLESS!! (And we looked deep!) Good breakfast too! Will be coming back!!!

Only tried breakfast on two days and it was fine. By the time we got to the breakfast area it was in a bit of disarray. Needed more attention Food offering were about normal and we’re fine. Not enough seating for the size of the hotel tho.

I was truly impressed with my recent stay. The staff at check in were warm and welcoming, my room was very clean and the hotel has excellent amenities. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast but the staff went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you were looking for. Hotel staff walked around during breakfast area cleaning, refilling food items and greeting/assisting guests. I did use the gym and it was clean and with a nice view.

Our stay was exceptional. But, I was totally disappointed with Expedia. Even though they had confirmation on their computer, the hotel had no info on our booking. The manager had to review the app to book our stay. Check-in should have been 5-10 minutes, tops!!! It took about 1 1/2 hours. I traveled 1 1/2 hours away to see a Dr for collapsed feet. Then I called Expedia and kept sending me to talk with an AI Agent. It took forever to get a human. And, then I got a foreigner that I could barely understand what he said. I finally got taken care by the manager of the hotel. That was extremely patient in assisting us with our stay! Probably not using Expedia again! This was the 3 time reservation issues with two hotels and once with a car rental.

The room was very clean when I walked in. The staff was very friendly, and when I reported an issue, they addressed it immediately. The air conditioning worked wonderfully and kept the room cool when I needed it. And the water for the showers managed to stay hot the entire time.

The room was perfect for our anniversary celebration. They even had champagne, snacks and a sweet note waiting for our arrival! They were knowledgeable about the area and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to do. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking, $73/day to be parked by valet in the parking lot under the hotel. But that did give you in and out privileges. We Ubered or walked wherever we wanted to go. It was in a great location where you could walk for almost anything.

The hotel is in a good location, there is an L-station about 3 blocks away. Breakfast has decent options, we did enjoy the warm oatmeal, French toast sticks, hash browns, and muffins. The gym is well stocked and was not too busy in the morning on a Saturday. Rooms are cleans and are very spacious. There was enough room for 3 of us. They are also fairly well stocked and it is great to have a kitchenet.

For a Hyatt hotel, this was meh at best. I paid extra for higher floor room. But my view was still not great, for it was the opposite side of the downtown. Now I know that not everyone will get the good side. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel it’s wrong to charge extra for the rooms with poorer view. The “complimentary breakfast had 3 items only, and one of those was some terrible, dry, stale turkey sausages that I couldn’t bear to finish. And I’m someone who will eat almost anything! Unfortunately, I forgot my expensive electric toothbrush in my room. When I called to tell them I will happily pay to get it shipped, they kept me on hold for 15 min and told me someone from housekeeping will call back. Well, no one called for 2 days, so I called back and this cycle repeated. I just up and buying another toothbrush now. For the price, this hotel fell far down from expectations.

Came in with several families. Pool had amazing views. Rooms worked perfectly. And the bar/lobby area was nice for hanging out. Very walkable to many restaurants or coffee shops. Will definitely stay again.

I asked for new towels, I didn’t receive any. My order of food was pictured to be dropped off in the hotel lobby but it got stolen by someone and staff was of no assistance at all. Seemed annoyed I was even asking, as he had the food bag of food I ordered opened near his desk. I also asked 3x for them to fix my tv so I can watch Netflix. Etc and no one ever came. Just a terrible experience

I've never been to a Hyatt hotel. This hotel was spotless and had great service. The only issue was the valet. I only used it one night since the guy was on a personal call when I needed my car and he had to hang up to help me. Eventually.

Staff was okay for the most part. But the room it self and presentation of the facilities is not up to par. I have stayed in Holiday Inn and Super 8 hotels that were in better condition. Multiple areas of our room was damaged. Carpet torn and stained. Dent and scrathes in the cabinets and walls. Holographic finger nail polish on the wall. No bag in the trash can or for the ice bucket. Not impressed at all. Very disappointed.

This hotel is one in my books. The property is very stylish and modern. The hotel room is clean and roomy. Guest services were polite and inviting. This hotel is near good eateries and nightlife.

Nice place to stay if you’re in the city for long. Most rooms have rest area and kitchenette, but then if you don’t need those you might find the room too crowded and wish for more empty space for walking and luggage. The neighborhood is pretty chic. Quick check in and out. The air conditioner was a bit noisy for sleep.

The room was very clean, nice amenities, used the work-outroom. Can't say enough about the staff. Check in staff is excellent - nice smile, very helpful and always accomodating! The breakfast staff is awesome - especially Derrik and Sierra - always has big smiles, friendly, helpful and efficient. As for my family, after a long day of driving or flying into Chicago, its so nice to know you're going to feel welcomed when you get to Hyatt House!

Great rooms in a great location for a great price. We went to a concert at United Center & the West Loop is very walkable. No car needed. And the sunsets from the rooftop are absolutely breathtaking!

Everything was great at our stay. Clean, updated room. Staff was friendly every time we talked with them and immediately took care of a couple request we had. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Location was close to several bars and restaurants and easy to get to transportation. Only drawback was the parking was full but they quickly gave us a list of options nearby and it worked out just fine. Would love to stay here a again.

Overall, the hotel was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the quick and easy check-in. The only issue we experienced was with service responsiveness. We requested extra blankets and had to call twice, ultimately waiting about an hour and a half before they were delivered. Improving turnaround time for basic requests would significantly enhance the guest experience.

This room was a real delight to stay in. Easy (and safe) parking, walkable to a lot of good shops and food and it was well-appointed. The breakfast provided in the morning was also great.

The horrible smell on the level to go up into the lobby is terrible. Such a gross smell and a bad taste of the hotel before even checking in. If there is any way to change the air filtration or use some candles that would be great. Overall stay was fine, but that was constantly just a gross thing to deal with.

Room was very clean and pet friendly, which is very important to us. Breakfast staff, especially Sierra & Derrick, were very friendly, efficient and always cheerful. Check-in was quick and easy and front desk staff exceeded expectation. We have stayed at the Hyatt House at least 3 times and will be staying there more often

We stayed there for four days, but during our visit, they didn't come to clean the room or change the towels. We asked them a couple of times for at least a light cleaning.

This property advertises "limited guest parking" but should really mention that there are literally 8 spots in the parking garage and it is almost impossible to turn around once you get stuck in there. Do not plan to park on site, because you will be disappointed. Staff was inattentive and not helpful. Room was basic but clean. Location was close to many restaurants and shopping. Would not choose to stay here again.

Check in was at 3pm and my room wasn't ready. We waiting until 3:45 and were changed rooms because my room still wasn't ready.

The hotel distance from city center is 15 minutes by car and the hotel only cleans rooms every other day which is bad

Perfect location

This hotel was in an awesome location—walkable to shopping and eating. The room had a nice layout, plenty of space, and a well equipped kitchenette. Beds were comfortable and having double sinks was a nice bonus. Would def stay here again.

My partner and I experienced a horrific day of travel. Upon arrival at 3:00 in the morning we were greeted by a front desk customer service rep who upgraded our room and was very sympathetic and friendly. Kiana who was the desk supervisor for the next day put together a toiletry bag for us because our luggage was also delayed. she was incredibly friendly and so helpful and a breath of fresh air after experiencing no customer service all day from the airline. They turned my frown upside down with thier compassion, empathy and kindness. Thanks Kiana and the front desk team!!!!!

Hello Mr. Humphery: I wanted to write that my sis and I were on a "staycation" at The Hyatt House Chicago West Loop and we were more than please with not only our room's cleanliness, but the overall appearance of the property's cleanliness. In addition, the staff were gracious, courteous, and respectful. Cordell, our room attendant was very courteous this morning on our departure. The attendant at the delicious breakfast buffet was gracious as well, as I wanted to bring my breakfast up to my room. I even witnessed him promptly picking up a napkin that fell on the floor. We will surely stay here again, as we were very pleased with the excellent customer serve we received herr at the Hyatt House Chicago West Loop.

Property was within walking distance to many restaurants. Short Uber ride to United Center. Pool and lobby areas were nice. Room had a nice setup and beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful with finding area parking.

I didnt like the limited and expensive parking.

They need a restaurant if they are going to advertise having one. Their "restaurant" is prepacked food with a selection of about 6-7 items. It is topped off with plastic utensils in wrapping while you are sitting at the bar. Rooms need to be updated with more charging area's and more business friendly.

This was a very nice hotel. Was very modern and very clean. The lobby had plenty of space to hang out in with friends and the bar drinks were tasty.

The Hyatt House is a great hotel in a great location. The only downfall is the parking, there are limited parking spot on site.

A brief 2 day stay. Clean, great breakfast, convenient to restaurants, union station & greek town.

Parking was the worst part.

Parking was the only bad side. Super small lot on grounds so you have to walk from lots of park on street and pay by 2 hours

Our room was fine. It was clean upon arrival. We stayed 3 nights and our room was not cleaned, restocked or touched during the 3 days. The breakfast was not good and we couldn’t even eat it again after the first day.

Awesome place great time

No room cleaning for 3 days. No new towels for 3 days. Asked the front desk several times and was told they would do it right away and never did. On the last day went to the desk to ask about why nothing happened and was told they would be right back and no one was at front desk for 15 minutes. Will not stay there again.

Very clean hotel with friendly staff in a nice neighborhood! Great rooftop terrace with incredible views and comfy seating area. It was hard to get a comfortable temperature in the room at night, but I think that’s most hotels. My only complaint is that and the noise of the air conditioner kicking on and off all night. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Everyone was very nice and helpful Staff was always polite and made a point to talk to you! Room was exactly like pictured. Very clean and comfortable. Bathroom not very private , can hear everything happening in there ! Great breakfast! Would not recommend parking your car here though. Parking deck is very small and tight. And limited spaces. They do have a list of other areas close by , as I came back from a concert and no parking available! Lobby is on the 3rd floor.

Loved the hotel, great staff, great location right near a lot of good restaurants and stuff, only thing is I wish they had more on-site parking, but there were garages near by that I could park and walk back to the hotel from, so it was no big deal, fantastic complimentary breakfast in the morning was great, loved my stay.

Wonderful place for a family in the West Loop! The rooms are very large (especially for Chicago). Easy walk to the trains and lots of restaurants nearby. Bonus? The pool was great for the kiddos to get a little swimming in. The breakfast in the morning was perfect - enough yummy options for everyone. We will definitely stay again!

They stay was good.Nice quiet location staff semi friendly but seems unbothered. The breakfast could have been better. The only downfall was we thought we were able to park in garage but it’s so small maybe 10 cars can fit. We registered to park but couldn’t, had to park in another garage a block away. While checking out I made sure to ask attendant to double check our parking and to remove it because we didn’t get a chance to park in the garage. While getting on the road to go back home I received and invoice for parking and a transaction on my bank account. I called customer service and she advised I will receive refund in 7-10 business days. I specifically asked if she would send a confirmation and she assured she would. I have made it home 8 hours later and still no confirmation. I will wait to see if my money is refunded in about 7 days and call again. Wasn’t the worst experience but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

moved all the food and took them to the front desk to dispose of. The hotel was informed but since we had an event to go to, we did not have time to go thru the rest of the room until late in the evening. I was looking for glasses for my water, noticed the diswasher unit just practically unattached when i tried to open the door....which was a surprise (i did inform the hotel as well). Glasses did not look throughly cleaned. Because of the above, i was paying a little more attention when i use the shower, which i notice black molds on the shower curtain! I am extremely disappointed of the room and told to reach out to get a refund for the stay. I hope Expedia will help me to get the compensation. Clean, comfy room and friendly staff. Super convenient to restaurants, live music and shopping. Very walkable area.

Hotel parking only has 20 spaces for a 14 floor hotel! Plan your parking elsewhere in advance. You'll enter at ground level where the homeless like to hang out and have to take an elevator to the 3rd floor for the lobby/front desk to check in.

Loved the room; was clean; staff was good. Parking garage was full when we arrived so had to park down the street at a different garage. Breakfast was not great.

Very limited first come first serve parking onsite. I had to find a public lot nearby and walk back and forth to the hotel. Nice hotel but parking was an inconvenience.

Hotel was pretty clean and cozy. The tv channel options weren’t great and the streaming did not work. Breakfast was convenient and overall I felt safe staying here.
