    My wife and I stayed here for a night while going to a concert at The House of Blues. The location could not be more perfect. We were able to walk to breakfast and an architecture boat tour all before checkout. The only downside was insanely slow and not communicating valet. That process has to be improved. If other hotels in this price point can give live updates that should be the expectation in 2026.

    The hotel was in a great location to everything downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. I didn't like that they had a destination fee but I does give you a $15 food/bar credit. The only thing I wish they had in the room was a full length mirror.

    Every staff was very friendly, but Daniel from front desk is amazing! Great hospitality and very informative. Room was also clean. Although, I was not informed I’d be charged $12.00 for Fiji water(thought it came with the room). Otherwise it was a good overnight stay.

    The location can't be beat and the staff are all the nicest people--every valet, housekeeper, front desk, and barkeep. Our room, however, while clean on the surface, was dreary, with peeling wallpaper, cracked tiles, a wobbly toilet, and lighting that was wholly inadequate. No USB ports anywhere at all in the room so don't forget your charging blocks.

    Had breakfast at Yolk three times, although not part of the hotel but accessible from the lobby . Food options very good and staff helpful on the availability of gluten free and lactose free options. Highlight of the breakfast was the server Roxanne, really helpful and always service with a smile . She deserves recognition, Had a couple of dinners in the main bar and the highlight of every time we ate or drank here was the Hungarian barman called Richard , what a character, always attentive on whatever we needed and always ready to upsell at every opportunity , the hotel are lucky to have him . the location of the hotel is great , within easy walking distance to all the entertainment and touristic spots. Asked for laundry to be picked up the day of arrival (Saturday) , pick up confirmed at reception on my way out to dinner, no one ever showed up as clothes still bagged when i got back. Called down for pick-up and no one ever came , asked again on Sunday and no pick-up. In the end bought some extra clothes and never did laundry at the hotel !

    Would recommend this hotel. Location is great on the water. Very friendly and helpful staff. Checkin was quick and efficient. Room was clean and spacious with fridge & coffee making facilities, iron and board, safe and hairdryer available. Only gripe and this is not a big deal but the rooms used to have an alarm clock that contained usb ports which is very useful for me as an oversees visitor wanting to charge phone etc. without using 2 pin adaptors etc. these clocks are no longer available and there are now no usb ports in the room, its not a big issue, but it would be convenient to have them back.

    We had 2 rooms, 2 people in each room. There was only 1 bathrobe in each, no sleepers(they have run out, according to staff) Sign says Public parking, but you are getting husseled by "valet" to park with them($86 per day) or move the car.

    The room was falling apart. Door stopper was coming off, wallpaper peeling off, scratches on both coffee tables, and the AC unit was just blowing cold air it was freezing at night. The only good thing about this hotel was the location other than that go to another hotel in the area.

    The cleanliness was perfect when I checked in, no stains anywhere, fresh sheets and everything seemled newly wiped down. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the blackout curtains, I was able to sleep well. I was worried about noise from The House of Blues being so close, but you could only hear the bass occasionally, it never disruppted my sleep. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! The bartender gave recommendations, and the in room dining server was incredibly friendly, and personable.

    We came in for the Oasis and MCR concerts and we really enjoyed our stay! The hotel has such a great location to the river walk area and countless food and shopping places.     We had an amazing meal at legal sea foods. Excellent food with reasonable prices. Marriott hotels offer you the comfort of home. The spacious and comfortable bed along with the added amenities.

    Hotel was clean, staff was very kind! The bar was quite slow but it was definitely not a big deal. I will note that because of the house of blues venue, music and noise could be heard from our hotel room that was on the 10th floor. The noise did not bother us but if someone was sensitive to noise at night, keep that in mind! Overall, i enjoyed my stay and i would recommend this hotel for your Chicago trip.

    I have stayed in many Marriotts and usually love the level of comfort. This place was a problem. The room was pricy, the only option is valet parking $80 a nigh which is at the high end of normal for Chicago, however on the way in and out no doorman or valet was present I had to go find someone inside. The front door was broken, the complimentary water was empty the whole stay, the room which I was told was an upgrade to my booking was tiny, old and the view of the city was actually a view of a multistory parking lot, the air conditioning smelt strongly of mold which worried me enough to turn it off. They also charged me an additional 25 “resort fee” and gave me a 15 ticket toward food or a drink. There is no restaurant at this hotel and when I asked for food at the bar I was told there was non. 15 did not even cover the cost of one bar drink. The waiter was very nice and helped me find take out. Overall my guess is that this place is grossly understaffed those I did encounter seemed nice enough. Marriott needs to get its act together on this one.

    We had an amazing experience. Honestly, there is not one single thing I can complain about. However, the thing that made the biggest difference to me was how kind and helpful the staff was. They were all very accommodating, caring, and always ready to help with anything, big or small. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in Chicago!

    The location was great, but the room itself was a letdown. We found a very visible brown stain on our sheets with oily marks around it—super gross. It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were also old wine stains on the table and the shower barely worked. Half the water came out of the tub spout because the nozzle was corroded and wouldn’t go all the way up to get the full water pressure to the shower head. Disappointing room overall. The best thing about this hotel is the location.

    We really enjoyed our stay here. We did have 1 minor issue. I got an email the morning we were supposed to check in saying that our reservation was canceled. I had to talk to 3 people before anyone could help me. Finally when I got someone at the actual hotel, they told me our room was not canceled and everything was good from there. It was just stressful getting that email and no immediate answers while sitting at the airport worrying that we didn’t have a place to stay. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, the staff was nice. PERFECT location. We walked everywhere!

    We loved our stay here! Extremely clean, stylish, sophisticated hotel. All staff very welcoming, friendly & attentive. Rooms are spacious, smelled good, bed was so comfortable. Anytime we needed anything, we called front desk and they immediately sent it up. Everyime we came & went they welcomed us in. We felt like VIP. Best part of it is its location. Steps away from riverwalk/water walking distance to all restaurants, bars, stores.

    Staff was very courteous and accommodating. It was mine and my spouse's 10 year anniversary and the front desk upgraded us to a suite, offered us room service meal credits and even drink tickets at the lobby bar.
