This week has been a particularly tough week for me. But I was excited about yesterday! We were taking our son on his first overnight vacation since he was an infant. The day wasn't great but wasn't terrible, but my son rejected the idea of sleeping somewhere new and had a meltdown. My wife and I decided to take him home (and hour and a half drive) without staying the night and the staff - especially the valet manager - was so lovely and helpful. I literally cried from how sweet and understanding they were as I drove home. A+, would come back either alone or when our son is better traveled. We'll be practicing at family's homes for a bit 😁

The staff at this property are very helpful and friendly. It is in a good neighborhood within walking distance of Grant Park and the museum campus (Adler Planetarium/Shedd Aquarium/Field Museum). The room was clean and the kitchen well stocked with basics for being able to prepare food. The L is very close, great for getting around the city, not so great if you are sensitive to noise as the trains run at all hours. Lobby area VERY HEAVILY perfumed with some sort of "air freshener" it's awful if you have allergies or sensitivities. Luckily the rooms are not cleaned/sprayed/deodorized with whatever chemical it is they use in the lobby. Breakfast was your standard hotel fare - buffet of eggs, sausage, misc. breads, misc. cereals, oatmeal, fruit. Was kept well-stocked throughout the open hours, and dining area clean. Again, staff very accommodating.

Location to the museum campus and train station. There was hair on the floor that not vacuumed. Breakfast did not have much variety.

Loved my stay here amazing view!!. The elevators and hallways was just super humid. Rooms were cool and clean the view we had AMAZING!!! I only gave it a 4 starts because of the humid elevators and hallway. But other than that I would book again!

Loved loved the closeness to Grant Park to play Pokemon Go!!! We also loved loved the pool and hot tub on 8 th floor. We also liked free breakfast where we met Pokemon Go friends!! Our room was clean, had a large bed and sofa plus a full kitchen . This was awesome. The room was perfect for us as a couple but could accommodate an entire family comfortably as well. Thank you. The young man that worked the desk on Friday around 1 pm really helped us with our Uber. Thank you ! Nothing.

The overall stay was good. We had 4 kids and were able to use the pool and enjoyed the breakfast. The location was really good and not too far from anything we wanted to do like the shed aquarium, Sears Tower (aka skydeck), etc .We needed the pull out sofa and it was very worn and not supportive at all so the kids had to sleep in the bed with us which was tight but made do. A good stay for a family for but no more than that.
- 5/5
This hotel was in a good location and our room was huge! Tons of space AND the kitchen! We also had huge windows that allowed for a bunch of light and I loved the beautiful smelling lotion! I'd recommend staying here if you want to spread out and be comfortable, but also be close enough to the pier/downtown to walk if you didn't have a car.

Second, they have coin operated laundry machines. They couldn’t provide quarters. They said the safe code was just changed. They didn’t have access to their change. I had to get quarters from a grocery store a block away. On a separate day, the clothes dryer would not take one of the quarters I had. The front desk did not have any quarters to swap out the coin. I had to go out to the street and ask a passerby to exchange the errant coin.

We had the best stay here! Within a short walk to the trains ($10 for 2 of us to jump in and off as many times as we wanted in 24 hours) to get down town, super comfy room and beautiful views into the city! Valet was top notch and worth every penny! All staff were so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious and a great start to a day of walking and shopping. Would totally stay here again and stay longer - such a great start and finish to our trip!

Front staff doesn’t really help
- 3/5
Very convenient spot to book if u are going to suenos festival. But the prices are outrageous and the free breakfast was disappointing. It wasn’t even breakfast it was more of so snacks. Our closet door was broken and the sheet of our mattress was stained.
- 5/5
Honestly everything you could ask for a business trip. Comfortable beds, functional kitchen. Super helpful staff for things like mail packages shipped to hotel for our trade show at McCormick. Bonus trader joes around the corner for groceries
- 1/5
While management did close off the room after our complaint, infestations this severe rarely exist in just one room. Cleanliness and guest safety should never be compromised. Travelers should think carefully before booking here, as the convenience is not worth the potential health concerns.

Location was very convenient for the Trains and buses to get around. Several buses take you to Navy Pier but 29 is the most direct. We took a bus and went to Lincoln Park Zoo about 40 minutes away. We took a bus to go to Museum of Science and Industry another 40-minute trek. Hotel was within walking distance of the Shedd Aquarium and Science Museum (about .7 mile) It is a beautiful walk through a park and a few underpass pedestrian walkways. And, if you are an avid walker, you could walk to downtown Chicago about 2 miles to the Bean. The thing I didn't like the maid took the hand towels when she cleaned (which is every other day) and she never replaced them the remaining 5 days that we were there. I had to do some cleaning of the kitchen and chairs that had sauces or ketchup splatters. The stove top needed a good cleaning as well. I am glad I brought some extra towels of my own. I wasn't able to clean them perfectly nor the refrigerator because I couldn't figure out how to remove the shelf above the vegetable drawers to do that. It was like owning a time share and having to do some cleaning.

One of the reasons I booked this property was I thought the room had washer/dryer which it didn't.Breakfast could be better...real crockery instead of disposable plates, better choices. Not particularly clean room -expensive for what it was. Would try somewhere else next time

The location was perfect. It was an easy walk to the Museum Campus and Millennium Park. Our grandson loved the indoor pool and hot tub. They had a nice breakfast, included with your room. When we arrived, we asked for a view of Michigan Lake, and were given a corner room on the 19th floor with a gorgeous view. Our bed was very comfortable, the shower was large, and the room had a small kitchen. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I gave this hotel a 9 was because they were short-staffed with housekeeping staff. We waited over 3 hours for clean towels, and when calling the front desk, it often just rang with no answer. They could use more people working there since it is a fairly large hotel.

I was given the option to pay extra for a Lakeview for the room, which I did the room. I actually got there was no view of the lake, and when I asked about it, the staff said that they cannot guarantee a lake view room, even though on the app, I clicked unlike your room and had to pay extra for it.

Other than the terrible check in experience, the room was clean, the hotel had great views of the lake, and was in a good central location for the attractions we had planned to go to.

There were only 2 things that were not perfect. One was the parking. It actually only cost us 32 dollars for an entire day but it was down the street and around the corner from the hotel. The only other thing that could use improvement is the musty odor in our room. I will admit that I am sensitive to smells but it was the room. The rest of the hotel smelled amazing!
- 4/5
Good service
- 5/5
The breakfast menu is the same as another other Hilton property. You must arrive early if you plan on eating a good serving size portion. Otherwise as time goes on they DO NOT restock anything. If you visit Orlando or Ocala FL, they keep restocking everything. I understand you do not want to waste food but you have two hotel properties in the same building. You can count how many people are check-in, add 20% for food and you will be all set. When we arrived, we went one hour to closing and it looked like a grocery store shelf during a national disaster. Barely anything. They wouldn't restock the hot water or coffee. On the plus side the property is walking distance to eat breakfast and behind there is a Trader's Joe.

Room was clean, staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great
- 5/5
I've stayed here several times, and this is my go to place in Chicago. We had some slight issues this time with valet, but it really seemed it was a specific employee rather than the system as a whole. We've never had problems in the past and have had great experiences.
- 5/5
We loved to stay here only the breakfast is too early for us
- 5/5
The breakfast was spectacular!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and fully equipped with all necessary appliances, cookware, dishes, and utensils.
- 4/5
The breakfast does not have many options for vegetarians everyday. There are no notifying boards so that the staff would know we needed the beds to be made or new towels needed. I called the front desk even then no new towels were provided even though the front desk person was really nice.
- 5/5
The breakfast potatoes tasted weird but it was ok
- 4/5
Rooms are very noisy from frequent outdoor elevated train, hallway noise from people talking. Turn on all the fans to mute the sounds.Hot breakfast was good with eggs, bacon, juices. Faster to ask for more towels at front desk than wait for them to bring it to our room.
- 4.5/5
The only problem i had was for breakfast the only meat that was served was pork. I unfortunately don't eat pork so that just made it weird a little.
- 2/5
No valet parking availability, had to find your own parking downtown Chicago which was very inconvenient. Breakfast mediocre. Took 2 hours to get extra towels & pillows.
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff
- 2.5/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room size was great especially since we traveled with four kids and it was helpful to have a fridge and freezer. The room was clean but there were stains on the couches and mattresses. The corner of the couch was held together by duck tape. The faucet in the kitchen and shower leaked. In the kitchen, the faucet leak was so bad that it sprayed wildly in every direction. There was mold in the grout.
- 5/5
Great location. Spacious room for families
- 3/5
It worked for us
- 4/5
Cool spot, but limited view of the beach due to its location. Even it says water view, it’s not exactly true.
- 1/5
Room was not ready, waited more than an hour. Front desk was incredibly rude.
- 3/5
The breakfast was terrible! Other than that it was ok.
- 5/5
We would of liked more seating for breakfast.
- 4/5
It was clean and accommodating for my family of 6. It was spring break, so it was packed but still not overly crowded. The kids had a blast in the pool and enjoyed the large windows with city views everywhere. The parking was rough; I kind of wish I had paid the valet fee and done that instead. It would have cost more, but the stress of parking a very large SUV in Chicago was terrible. There was some wear throughout the hotel, like peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, but it was still very clean. The beds, however, were not the most comfortable, and the bedding was loud and not soft.
- 5/5
Queen bed comfortable good shower
- 2/5
Long lines and wait times for breakfast. Not enough food. The room didn’t smell good and the tv network didn’t work.
- 5/5
Highly recommend Eleven City dinner around the corner for lunch or dinner.
- 5/5
Good room. Parking was awful. Valet was full and no options were given for parking
- 4/5
I didn’t eat the breakfast
- 0.5/5
The location was the only nice thing about this hotel Where do I start ...maybe the fact that I slept a total of 2 hours because the bed felt like I was sleeping on a lumpy bag of rocks.. or maybe the fact that the pool had zero towels available and the water looked cloudy / dirty... I did manage to get in the hot tub for about 20 minutes because at that point I was already dressed to swim. I will definitely never return to one of these hotels ever again in my life...this may be the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel(and I've had a few bad experiences)
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh and delicious .The room suite was nice and clean very comfortable.
- 5/5
Breakfast was fresh, plenty of food. Staff manning breakfast were quick to replenish. Just wish they would greet :) I do appreciate the staff as I've worked similar job positions, so I have a high regard for everyone who works at hotels. They are the unsung heroes <3

Elwood Suites in their locations throughout the states and I have always had a pleasant experience. This was not the cases this time around. They cancelled my reservation as a no show. My flight was delayed and I attempted to reach them through the chat and never received an answer. It offers self check in on the website but that wouldn’t work either. Once we got to the hotel we were received by a grumpy employee accusing me of not showing up on time. As he finally gave us a room. Not the type of room that I had payed for. We checked in on Thursday by Saturday evening nobody had come to clean the room. I asked the staff and was told that my room wasn’t on their list. We went to the front desk and were told they would have the room cleaned. When we arrived later in in the evening it was still not cleaned. I called and was told that it was too late and that nobody would be cleaning the room by the most unprofessional person I have ever come across working the front desk. He said someone would bring towels to the room. They never arrived. We he’s to go downstairs to see him to pick up own towels. The man at the front desk was very disheveled in his appearance. The room was finally cleaned in Sunday when we were checking out on Monday morning. This was not a good experience at all and I will not be staying at this chain of hotels. They put the a Hilton name to shame.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfy. We had a very nice view and also our kids had so much fun due to its proximity to the city atteactions. Just the wifi issue but not a big deal.

We had a King suite with a kitchette and pull out sofa. The king bed was like sleeping on concrete for 3 nights. Kids said the pull out bed felt like rocks. There's no comforters, a sheet and a light flimsy blanket is what you get. The kitchenette is nice size, no oven but that's expected. Dishes provided, silverware, ONE stainless (NOT non stick) pan, but NO cooking utensils. Pool was okay, we tried to use the laundry at night once but it takes $6 in quarters and there's no machine. Desk employee said "you have to wait until morning", so come with quarters and your own detergent if you have to use the laundry. We looked forward to the breakfast buffet based on photos but it was awful. The 8th floor with all the amenities (pool, breakfast, laundry) are shared with the Hilton Garden next door. Breakfast is CHAOS to out it lightly. There's only mini omelettes, no clue whats in them, grits like oatmeal, potatoes and very greasy sausage. No pancakes or waffles or bacon. Yogurt is in a communal bowl, so we skipped that. Cold cereal, bagels available. Finding somewhere to sit when 2 hotels worth of people are scrambling around and only 10 tables is hard. We have 2 kids and all had to stand to eat. Hotel is in a good location downtown, walking distance to the museum campus and grant park, cta station is not far also.
- 5/5
To our surprise, the room was actually great and had a nice view. We reserved a suite with the bedroom and it was the perfect size for our family of 4. Breakfast was good - but extremely crowded (not the hotels fault). The staff were all very kind, smiled and refreshed everything super quickly. The pool was small but the kids loved it. The location is perfect - walkable to the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. We also walked back from Millennium Park since it was a straight shot. Overall, other than the disappointing check in experience, our 3 night stay in Chicago was great!
- 4/5
The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast. Very basic and actually hated the paper plates! Other than this, I recommend staying there.
- 5/5
We had the best time staying at this hotel, very cool place and close to everything. Definitely worth and recommend the hotel, very clean and I love the small kitchen area and of all the Hilton I stayed so far this was the most beautiful place and I love the Asian restaurant Leiya in the corner of the hotel and you’ll get 10% if you’re hotel guests and their food was so good and delicious.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was amazing, breakfast was okay. Pool and hot tub both could use more maintenance and cleaning but was a great amenity to have. Overall, great for families or someone coming in for work

Room wasn't checked for certain things. And had a dirty rag by the window and shower had black stuff by it

WE had a broken pipe in our bathroom. We notified the staff immediately. I fell asleep fully clothed waiting for the egineer who never arrived. WE had a hot showe running from 7pm to 10am. It took 3 phone calls for them to get all the water off the windows and the windowsills. The room was a humid, swaet box for the first 2 days of our visit.
- 5/5

The property was well kept and in a good location. My experience with a few different front desk staff was a little disappointing. They had little customer service skills when lines were long and no valet attendee working. They were short with customers and at time very rude. I called ahead to have my car pulled around and was told 10 minutes. I waited and proceeded to valet. After waiting an additional 15 minutes in line, we were told the valet was on break and they didn't know when he would return.

Our hotel was in the perfect area. Very walkable to many locations in the area. Breakfast was okay but the fact that so many restaurants are in close proximity made up.

Great hospitable human beings love the Ives from the front desk
- 5/5
Very clean room, loved the stay
- 5/5
Beautiful views of the city. Very clean and every was very friendly.
- 2/5
They offers Netflix and I tried to access but I can’t. So I call the front desk 2 times asking for help and both of the times they told that the “engineer is on the way”. Also I runout of shower soap and they told me that they going to help me and don’t receive anything.
- 3/5
Problems arises always , it just happen what they do is why you could back or not I park the car the till Friday, I call give my stub number first night no problem morning ran around came around no problem.. I call Wednesday night 7pm huge problem, come down as usually no car maybe busy I’m the only one in area, maybe parking car. Another ten minutes go by I see the valet go to the garage 30 minutes later 740pm, no car they called valet it’s break time. I waited 8pm I ask the valet said can’t find my eyes he looks 830 he ask to the garage the car is there locked, I go back upstairs, security check to see who got the keys 910pm.. I get the car around 8pm I was going to car the cops, but could located my rental agreement, what did I have to do it doesn’t matter. I get the car with a sorry, so my advice is not to bring a car here btw the desk also try to say other people were waiting fifteen minutes. I was waiting longer with enormous courtesy and calm
- 4/5
Internet was good and loaded pretty fast; staff were friendly but unhelpful, told us where something was but didn’t actually tell us so we were running around helpless. There is no parking unless you pay $70 a night for valet or park a mile away in a parking garage.

- 3/5
Room was clean and spacious. Hot tub was nice. Breakfast was bland and not worth the extra charge. Parking was way to expensive.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and well kept. The staff is nice and easy to communicate with. The only problem that I encountered is the parking. Free parking is almost non-existent. Paid parking on the lot across the street is $38 per day. Valet parking is $70 per day. Parking everywhere in Chicago is extremely expensive if you can find it. It's very limited.
- 5/5
Shower drips all night long!
- 5/5
Beautiful view and excellent service! Love the heat lamps in the front of the building.
- 4/5
Spacious for our party of 3. Room was great; only thing was that the sink area was not private / did not a have door and was part of the bedroom. We were visiting family who lived around the corner so a great choice for location and quality. Ate at the nearby French bakery a couple times when we needed a snack. Very close to the red line and of course Michigan Avenue.
- 5/5

rooms are clean and property condition is good but the staff is not good they are not helping nature
- 3/5
The bed was stiff and pillows were not comfy, as soon as you lay down on it and deflates almost flat and breakfast was terrible and parking even to leave the car for valet was terrible but the room was very clean and staff and valet was great
- 5/5
Good location, big rooms
- 5/5
Everything was excellent.
- 4/5
The room was a bit run down with stains and dry/“crunch” spots on carpet and furniture. Tile in kitchenette and fridge had obvious splatter of food or sticky stuff and the bathroom sink had dried toothpaste from the previous guest. Little things on their own but together, they made the room feel dirty and our stay a bit less comfortable. Beds are comfortable and the shower/tub combo was clean so not all bad.

Walkable to Shedd Aquarium, Buckingham Fountain in Millennium Park, Flo & Santos “tavern-style” thin-crust pizza, Giordano’s deep-dish pizza, Blues at Buddy Guy’s Legends, The Jazz Showcase and Chicago dogs and Italian beef from Devil Dawgs. Grubhub offered free delivery and a $10 discount to Homewood guests (Feb 2026). The staff is very welcoming. Our room was large and clean. We loved the daily free hot buffet American breakfast plus continental breakfast fare. The roll-through toasters work great!
- 5/5
The staff and everything else was all great.
- 5/5
Loved the stay, well definitely book again.
- 3/5
The staff was great , very helpful Breakfast was good Facilities , the gym was good but the pool always FULL OF PEOPLE as same as the jacuzzi , may be It could be a good idea to limit the amount of people there After all it is ok
- 4/5
Staff was helpful, and rooms as well as breakfast were really good!

The amenities were pretty good. The gym was awesome, the location for breakfast was awesome, the food was hit or miss. The staff was great (just one time they forgot about a delivery that I inquire but no worries). Housekeeping was great. HOWEVER, they only had ONE working elevator!!!
- 5/5

The room was in iffy conditions. Mold in the shower. The view outside of the window was a dirty roof very depressing. It was not worth the money at all. The staff is always great, respectful and welcoming they are what keeps you coming back!! However the facility itself could use an update.
- 2/5
1. I requested in advance, a quiet room and was given a room right in front of the elevator (room 2213). 2. The staff failed to respond to my call to address the kids running up and down the hallway. This was after I spoke to the family, and after 10pm. 3. The lint traps of the dryers were filthy with hard sediment. 4. The restrooms on the ground floor adjacent to the check-in area had NO soap, a hygiene issue. 5. The breakfast was inferior to the advertised flier on the fridge, indicating "frittatas". The breakfast items were rather unhealthy and cheap. 6. The lighting in the room was so dim and inappropriate that the custodial staff came up and changed three bulbs. He stated that they were "ready to go out". 7. Upon check-out I shared all of the above with a gentleman, who had no name tag, but who said his name was "Edgar". He said he could not do anything other than contact Hotels.com on my behalf in order to request a refund. I have never heard from him or Hotels.com since. 8. Given all of the above, I felt extremely unwelcomed and my needs ignored. In fact, I developed a serious eye infection the night I stayed at Homewood Suites. I am disgusted by your staff, the lack of hygiene and the refusal to maintain a peaceful area after 10pm.
- 2/5
The room was clean and beautiful, but the front desk staff and valet experience were horrible. The hot tub was also broken and we didn’t find out until we were already at its location. Plus, you needed your room key to go anywhere, a fun surprise to find out after having your arms full loading in on the crowded elevator.

- 3/5
Our room on the 21st floor was quite disappointing. It is in great need of an upgrade. The room looked like something from the 70's. It showed many signs of use and/or abuse. The breakfast area was a nice, updated space. It appeared clean and well stocked. I would not stay at this location again in the future.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful and informative as I was new to Chicago
- 5/5
it was a very smooth checkin

Hilton hotel staff Olivia was rude. She didn't care about my amenities due as I had booked for the hotel suite prepaid stay. I felt like they didn't care about me and the clock I wasn't in my room as booked. Olivia who did transfer me to other rooms until she was disrespectful to me had known of the maids job to stock the rooms with advertised items for hotel suites as well. I shouldn't be targeted to complain about what I paid for and staff bad hospitality given for falsely housing guests as prisoner's or patient's. I was targeted repeatedly by staff, foreigners, and others who stalks me and my sons. Also, the breakfast served again was tainted with drugs. Gas fumes was in my suite booked stay at times. I complained hemical in the hallway before I entered my suite to so that I could get inside. Media LIVE of TV LIVE MEDIA SHOW HAS BEEN illegally WATCHING ME AND INVADING MY PRIVACY WITH OTHERS WIRED TECHNOLOGY HELP while I WAS inside the HOTEL suite as IF I HAD GIVEN THE APPROVAL TO BE FILMED, IT'S MY RIGHT TO REPORT THEM EVERYDAY especially since WAR IS OF MY$FEDERAL TSP APWU linked to fraudulent policing of children and Local leadership of government employees, victims. Also, I had NO BODYGUARD to help me and REPORT them all as it happened during times of my hotel stays that I noted for to inspect my own suite rented for suite advertised. I couldn't get relief if needed due to closed windows too. Staff didn't care about me and my safety nor my booking of hotelcHil.

We brought our 3 boys, youngest being 6 months. At checkin, we said we'd need a crib / pack & play. We were told one would be brought up, so we unpacked and headed out for dinner. A few hours later we got back and one was never brought up so we called right away to have one brought up, we were told one would be brought up. 20 minutes later and with a baby ready for sleep, one was not brought up, so we called and asked for one a third time, and was finally brought up. Last issue was that the room specificlaly has a dishwasher, but evidently it's not to be used, because there's no soap in the rooms and when calling for soap, you're asked to come all the way down to the lobby to get some from the front desk... where they only give you dish soap and look at you like you're crazy for asking for the dishwasher soap.
- 5/5
The room was great, staff were friendly and helpful. The only disappointment (for the kids, at least) was that the hot tub was out of order all weekend, and the pool was closed Monday. But it didn't ruin our weekend by any means.
- 5/5
Excelente ubicación, súper limpio, cuarto espacioso y servicio de excelencia
- 5/5
Everything ok
- 5/5
Everything was up to par, will return for a future stay
- 2/5
Please improve staff. No greeting. No warm welcoming. Checked in rooms were not clean. Had to get another room. Breakfast was mid, instructions for patio poorly communicated. Room service enters room without notifying or stating it’s them.
- 5/5
This Hotel Was Lovely Very Clean And Had A Great View
- 5/5
Clean room and amenities. 15 mins walk to major attractions.
- 3/5
Disappointing that hot tub was closed and wasnt informed even at check in. Didnt really interact with staff, when we did it was brief and lackluster. Clean rooms though!
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I believe every room is a suite with a pull out sofa bed and small kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The staff could not have been nicer. We kept having weather issues, even rescheduling our trip, and calling the hotel with questions. They were always courteous and accommodating, making sure we had adjoining rooms. Thank you, Alexis, for all your help! Cons: One of two elevators was down the entire weekend and the stairs are locked from floor to floor so we couldn't walk to breakfast. The hotel was packed, so moving around was tough. The L is close and noisy at night. The breakfast was weird (pulled pork and smoked sausage instead of bacon or pancakes?) but we found stuff to eat. The pool was PACKED. Overall, a solid hotel!

Great Hotel, location close to all attractions, clean, perfect breakfast
- 5/5
Well appointed and clean room, excellent staff. Great fitness center and pool! Wonderful location for seeing the art and architecture of Chicago!
- 4/5
Room was clean.
- 2/5
Heater would stay on for a long time causing the room to be very warm then shut off for a long time until the room started to feel cold. Staff was not helpful and I had no explanation of my charges which are about $200 more than I made a reservation for and I did not receive a receipt via email. I will NOT stay here again.
- 4/5
The room was excellent, clean, and spacious. The pool and jacuzzi also were very nice and clean. The breakfast, however, was ok, and not well stocked or fresh. One elevator was out of service for our stay which caused steady long waiting lines for the elevators. Overall staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
very courteus staff, room very comfortable and well-equipped, good location
- 3/5
Staff was nice, elevator situation sucked as there was only 1 working elevator and you couldn’t even take the stairs bc they are all locked. Friends had a disgusting stain on their headboard and other friends had walked in on a family to their assigned room, got a new room, key didn’t work so then finally after the 3rd try they got a room. Breakfast was ok. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
- 2/5
- Only 1 of 2 elevators working over our 2 night stay (serving 20 floors). Always a crowd for the elevator in the lobby and had to let 3 down elevators pass my 10th floor (because they were full of other guests checking out) and walk down 10 flights of stairs. - Bathroom sink faucet was broken (water sprayed out of spigot). - Large spider web over bathroom sink. - Noisy HVAC fan (on constantly for a 72F, auto, setting).
- 5/5
Clean room, amazing view. Friendly staff and location was in close proximity to all types of transportation. Family friendly hotel. Good breakfast options. Would recommend this place!
- 4/5
Super clean and great staff
- 5/5
Phenomenal customer service, great breakfast and managers dinner. Clean rooms and facilities. Great view and value. Accommodating staffs always ready to help. Great place and near to tourists attractions. So happy with our stay.
- 5/5
The room was spotless , the concierge was great and very helpful. My family enjoyed the pool , we will be back soon
- 1/5
Didn’t go, weather canceled it. I’ve been trying to get my refund and no one answers. Will never book with them again.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the hotel conveniently located. Breakfast buffet was a great amenity with hot options and plenty to choose from. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The gym was nice and the kids enjoyed the pool. The only negative was the elevator was out.
- 3/5
Dont know why i was able to pick my room and still be given another room, that pissed me off and the fact the only parking was valet for 70$ the public parking was over a block away for 40$
- 3/5
The room was nice and clean. There was only 1 elevator working the entire stay which caused a lot of problems for a property with so many floors and guests. It was unacceptable. The breakfast was the worst I've ever had at a Hilton property! The only available parking was valet and it was $70/day which is totally ridiculous. The valet staff was good and fairly quick but the cost was also unacceptable.
- 4/5
The hotel is really nice. Great breakfast, exercise room, the pool is amazing but the elevators are terrible. I stayed for the weekend and only one elevator worked during the entire stay. This is my second time staying at this location and the elevator was this way the first time as well. If the elevator’s get fixed this could be a 5 star hotel. Great staff, great location, reasonable prices but the elevator wait time is VERY long!
- 1/5
Terrible service. Small bed. Overcrowded.
- 2/5
The had a sour smell and the door didn’t close immediately, there was a delay. So I had to push it to close. The breakfast was horrible both days. The elevator had trash on the floor and the guest and front desk staff were arguing. I drove 4 hours, it was a waste of time.
- 4/5
Room was nice size, the amenities were nice.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Staff was cool, definitely funny and welcoming
- 2/5
It’s was aight
- 4/5
The room was perfect for our family and the location was wonderful. Staff was friendly and responsive to an issue we had in our room promptly. My only complaint is that we had to leave the pool area with our kids on Saturday night because other guests were very rowdy and participating in inappropriate behavior with children present. Other that that, we had a great time!
- 4/5
The room was spacious and had a great view, having a full kitchen was a bonus. The staff was friendly and the restaurant located inside of the hotel was awesome. The hotel is located ‘outside’ of the city which was nice, quiet area with some super yummy restaurants across the street. The only downside to this hotel was there was only 2 elevators and with 20+ floors we waited awhile to catch them going down and up.
- 5/5
The room is spacious and clean and there's a nice pool in the hotel. Great location and friendly staff. The breakfast had limited options, but since we had a kitchen in our room, that wasn't an issue.
- 1/5
No breakfast included, only one elevator working, valet parking taking forever, kids running around halls late at night banging on doors
- 5/5
Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at for the Bears playoff games! The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean, which is staying here again.
- 4/5
Room was nice clean. Staff was helpfull when needed
- 1/5
The room I initially booked in advanced was not available. I was never informed about the room until I arrived at the location.
- 5/5
Clean room, pleasant staff, nice breakfast.
- 2/5
The staff here is horrible, the hotel is okay, the elevators suck, we got stuck in one of them, and they had to have someone come help get us out. They also won't accommodate a late check-out.
- 5/5
Good amount of space, clean areas, courteous staff
- 5/5
All those things! Stand out staff—-friendly, helpful, each person we encountered was all those things. Breakfast was top notch! Room was spacious, well-appointed, bed comfortable, clean,
- 4/5
My husband and went to enjoy a night here for his birthday. The staff was tad bit helpful .I loved the pool and jacuzzi! My room although had some minor issues some light bulbs not working while there had very poor lighting.
- 5/5
Great visit
- 5/5
Great place to stay close to everything
- 5/5
Staff kindly moved me to another room when a dog a floor barked for more than 20 minutes.
- 5/5
Price for the location was unbeatable. Walking distance to the museum campus, close to several CTA stops, great view from the room, awesome spot all around. Bed was comfortable, breakfast spread was fantastic. Will definitely return!
- 5/5
Amazing staff and stay
- 3/5
Everything can be improved. Food, staff, room with needs of a clock radio to keep watch of time and music and local broadcasted aired station preferred American music entertainment and news entertainment
- 3/5
The staff were nice, the valet was quick, and the front desk staff were helpful. Our room was spacious but the bathroom shower had mold along the caulk seams and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The towels were awful. The edges were torn and frayed on about 50% of them. The pool was a bit cool but overall well kept. Would I stay again? If I had a choice, likely not, but it is one of the few hotels in the area with a kitchen and at a decent price.
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh but not enough fruit options. The room was clean and in nice condition.
- 4/5
It took place at 0930 8th floor breakfast area.

I have made a tradition of staying at this hotel for my birthday and I love it this time. I got a high floor so I had a great view at night. The staff were very friendly. The housekeeping was also attentive and friendly. I will definitely book again for my birthday in January.

- 5/5
Excelente ubicación, la habitaciones muy cómodas.
- 4/5
Breakfast menu was very limited. Barely had any main entrees. Not what I usually see at other hotels
- 1/5
Staff are rude. On their phones when there was a line at the counter. Power went out. When i needed help lady at counter said shes not signed in so go to the other lady. I told her a gentlemen told me to come to u and she said well im not signed in. Not a good experience.

Only recommendation , better breakfast
- 5/5
The kids enjoyed the pool and we were thankful for the great breakfast
- 5/5
Room was spacious - suite w kitchenette; free breakfast was nice as well
- 5/5
The staff was courteous, my room and the hotel was very clean. Everything was in walking distance. Valet park as soon as possible, they fill up quickly. Great time.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. Generous amount of amenities. Staff was very nice. Will come again
- 5/5
Good stay. Was not told when I checked in that I would need to use a key to use the elevator. Breakfast was good. The hot tub was nice. But no one regulates the number of people in the pool. There were way too many! The rooms were clean. But loud because if how close the hitel is to the El train
- 5/5
Rooms were fabulous! Very clean and spacious!
- 5/5
Loved the room it was spacious
- 5/5
Limited breakfast menu and overcrowded eating area.
- 4/5
Overall a great experience. The proximity to public transportation and local attractions was excellent and the area felt safe for tourists to walk around. The room was spacious, clean, and had a well equipped kitchen for a hotel suite. The front desk staff, valet, and breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. The only area keeping the overall rating from 5 stars was that the housekeeping staff cleaned the room midway through our stay and took all the used towels but didn’t replace them with fresh towels or restock toilet paper in the room.
- 5/5
Clean room, with cleaning service every other day, texting service to ask any questions, pool and breakfast were just fine, and they gladly kept our bags after check out while we went sightseeing before we headed out of town!
- 3/5
The room smells bad. I informed the staff about it and didn't even try to do anything
- 4/5
Amenities were great! Property looked well kept.
- 5/5
Better mattress on the sleeper sofa
- 5/5
Nice rooms, staff was helpful
- 5/5
Spotless, clean room, accommodating staff, beautiful pool and hot tub area, and competitive rates!
- 3/5
This hotel is nice, newly built, and the staff seems great. However, I think that there simply aren’t enough staff to go around and accommodate the size of this hotel and the amount of guests that are staying there at busy times. The hotel pool was routinely out of towels, and the breakfast on our final day did not have cereal and milk.
- 5/5
Staff - nothing short of amazing. Olivia, the ladies the following morning and the valet. The view was beautiful from the 12th floor we had a corner room. The breakfast was free and filling. Small imperfections in the room but nothing worth mentioning. Would recommend and will stay again.
- 5/5
Staff at front desk were nice and professional. Breakfast staff were also efficient and accommodating to guests. The hotel elevators were always busy as only 2 were for guests and sometimes one is being used by cleaning staff. Hotel location is very ideal if taking the public transport around. Museum campus is about a 15 minute walk which was fine for us since the weather was nice even if it's wintertime. Lots of dining options around the hotel and a Trader Joe's on one corner. Hotel proximity to the trains may be an issue to light sleepers, so take note of that if considering this hotel.
- 5/5
car parking expensive 70 dollar
- 5/5
Early check in!
- 3/5
House keeping/ front desk, was called for toilet tissue twice/ three times for 2 days and never received. Also we called for towels on one occasion and never received even though the staff stated that they will have it sent up. 2 days is ridiculous to me for basic necessities and that system should be reevaluated. I should not have to call front desk for toiletries and still not receive it.
- 2/5
We had many issues
- 4/5
The room layout was very useful. But the breakfast room was chaos. You need to lay the food out in a more logical way and provide more seats
- 5/5
Staff was helpful, food was good, outstanding pool and hot tub.
- 4/5
Room could have used a little more attention before we checked in,but overall it was really great. We were from out of town and there for a football game and the employees were good sports about the rivalry. My Hotels.com search was supposed to show hotels that included parking, but this one didn't, so that was a little frustrating, but not the hotels fault.
- 1/5
Staff was rude, also I was over charged for my stay and charges to my card.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Property was clean and staff was friendly. Could of had more options for the included breakfast
- 4/5
Staff was great. Breakfast was good but the gap under the door is like 1” so you can hear everything in the hallway.
- 5/5
Room very clean and staff very courteous.
- 5/5
Everything from the room stay to the staff service and the cleanliness of the hotel excellent
- 5/5
Not enough space for all the guests to eat.
- 4/5
While the room itself was great, we were somewhat disappointed in the continental breakfast experience as a whole. There were many items not available. By the time we waited for the hot items to come out, the food we were able to get was cold. There was also no seating available so we had to take food to our room. By the time we arrived in room (after getting stuck in stairwell because there is no entrance other than on 1st floor) our food wasn’t worth the wait.
- 3/5
The rooms need improvement. The toilet leaked the entire time we were there, and when we got to our room, the bedding was covered in dark makeup and didn’t look like it had been changed.
- 5/5
I have to admit, I was more than a bit hesitant to visit Chicago, but I found the Downtown area very clean, well maintained, And secure. A beautiful City with a rich history.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was very helpful!
- 5/5
The breakfast selection was so amazing, all the appropriate condiments you can think of was available…
- 5/5
There definitely needs to be more seating for breakfast
- 2/5
Everything was awesome. The room, the view, the pool. Only downside was the food.
- 5/5
STAFF WAS GREAT
- 5/5
We were in town for the Bears/Packers game. It fit our needs perfectly. Great experience.
- 5/5
Clean room and great breakfast with fresh fruit.
- 4/5
Yes
- 2/5
Unhelpful reception staff.
- 5/5
This was our first visit to Chicago. The room was clean and large for the 2 of us. Very inviting. Location was close to 2 major bus routes that took us every where we wanted to go.
- 1/5
Upon arriving at the hotel in the early morning hours, we were informed that our reservations had been canceled, despite the fact that we had prepaid for two full nights. Our flight arrived late, which is why we arrived at that time, something that should be understood in a city with international flights and 24-hour front desk service. Throughout the entire process, we were respectful and polite. We simply asked for information and a solution, as we understood that our reservation should still be valid. The front desk staff member who assisted us was extremely rude and disrespectful from the very beginning. She told us to step away from the front desk, stating that she was “trying to see what she could do, but not with us watching her.” At no point were we rude or demanding; we only wanted a clear answer regarding a reservation that had already been paid for. She left us waiting for over an hour, without providing any information or alternatives. When we attempted to approach the desk to ask for an update, she accused us of bothering her by looking at her and said she could not do anything else.
- 5/5
Yes room was clean ans staff great
- 5/5
room looked amazing. breakfast should be better for the price
- 3/5
Misguided communication on digital check in and being able ton”skip” the front desk. That was further from the truth and digital check in is pointless. Luggage carts were not available arriving or departing so we had to lug bags to and from room. Plus had to inconveniently deal with elevators requiring key to go to floor with full hands. Digital key was not as convenient as it should’ve been but I do like that feature when it worked Room services was not responsive when requesting a blanket.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice building and location. Staff was amazing as well and got me out of a meeting crunch by helping me print.
- 4/5
Well our room was quite dark . It was missing a lamp on end table and two from the ceiling. The window had cold air coming the whole time. Clean yes , spacious check .
- 3/5
This was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at in the middle of the night. Lots of noise coming from the train outside, but also noisy from the inside - elevator and upstairs noise along with the HVAC within the room.
- 3/5
Main issue was that the bathroom had water spill into the toilet and sink area. No matter how we adjusted the shower head the water would always leak into the rest of the bathroom and it was very annoying. All towels weren’t that soft either.
- 5/5
Everything was really clean and the breakfast was good
- 4/5
Staff was great, room was clean. Only minor issue was their valet staff informed me that since I drove a manual(stick) transmission car they would only park it since I did not need in/out privileges, claiming they do not normally accept manual transmission vehicles. That is stupid. How does a car service company like a valet company discriminate against manual transmission vehicles when they a car service company.
- 4/5
A very cozy apartment. The only drawbacks are the rather modest set of dishes (no wine glasses or a standard pot for an electric stove). Other than that, the bathroom door hinges squeaked and the sink drained poorly. Everything else was OK.
- 5/5
Location is near to many parks and easy to go around. breakfast is good.
- 5/5
Very convenient to museums, trains, music and restaurants. 24 hour coffee and tea. Staff very nice. Would stay there again!
- 5/5
Cleanliness of the room
- 5/5
We loved our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Fantastic location nice pool area .
- 5/5
Stayed there for a family trip, everything was great 😊, super clean, good breakfast and the room ( corner room) was stunning 😍
- 3/5
I appreciate that they want to use tech more with having your key on your phone - however that’s suppose to bypass needing to check in and check out, which it didn’t. Maybe rethink that portion?
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean and friendly customer service
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 5/5
Nice new hotel, everything updated. Comfortable. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Clean and super close to the very thing
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Good, hot breakfast, with different offerings each day. Close by restaurants (and 10% discount with room key) at the adjacent Asian restaurants and French bakery.
- 4/5
Not bad for the price
- 5/5
Great experience
- 2/5
the information that there self parking there is not a self parking they’re still self parking . $70 for valet parking you don’t have a choice. I would not of stayed at the hotel
- 5/5
Great experience with accommodating staff. The room was very clean!
- 5/5
Great room, great amenities, and a wonderful breakfast.
- 1/5
This was the worst stay I’ve ever had at a hotel. I checked in and within 20 minutes I checked out and booked another hotel. A firetruck was there getting someone out of the elevator because they were trapped inside. The rooms were not clean at all. Fingerprints all over the mirrors. Horrible.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Great Location
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Breakfast was ok, staff kept it stocked, but the set up was terrible. It was set up around a small island and always too crowded. Location was super convenient and pricing was great this time of year. Not the best suite set up I have seen but i would stay again.
- 5/5
Pool was nice
- 4/5
Some issues we faced during our stay: 1. Hand-shower was not functional. 2. Toilet flush was faulty. 3. The housekeeping lady did not do her job perfectly - she didn’t replace all towels. 4. There were no mirrors outside of the bathroom.
- 4/5
Parking incredibly expensive but to be expected for Chicago. Nothing overly amazing and definitely nothing overly bad either.
- 4/5
When I booked this hotel I was told the pool was heated. That was my very only reason for going.I called back the first time to make sure, they said it was not. I tried to get refunded they did not want to refund me.I called back again twice, both times someone said it was heated. At this point I don't know what to believe so I tried again to get refunded.Still they did not want to refund me,I had to go or lose my money. No refund even though I was lied to.The pool was too cold so I couldn't enjoy it.I did try. It took me 30 minutes to get my whole body into the water when I finally got in, I was in there for bout 30 minutes. I was shivering, my body cannot take the cold that's why I needed a heated pool!!!. I do thank y'all for this cold I have now.I could have used that money and put a big pool in my backyard. Don't get me wrong the hotel was nice,my room had a little smell but I think that was because the rug needed shampooing which I told the lady at the front desk. The pool was a disaster but somebody on which ever end was deceiving. They could have easily just given me my money back since they didn't have what I asked for. So for me my stay was ruined and money wasted.Be blessed and happy on purpose.
- 2/5
I wish I could of just brought my google tv dongke it would of been better
- 5/5
We had an amazing experience thank you so much!
- 5/5
All
- 5/5
Room was clean the view was beautiful
- 2/5
Not great. Breakfast was a horrific experience of people stealing chairs and rude guests. Front desk was rude and insulting. We’ve never experienced such poor service and lack of concern for guests requests. Don’t stay here. Trust me -there are plenty of better options in the same area and better customer service. I was on Hilton Honors messaging all week about horrible experience. Message me and I’ll share some of the insults by hotel staff and some very racist comments.

- 3/5
Allowed staff to change bed’s linen
- 4/5
Everything is good.
- 4/5
The staff was awesome from check in to check out. The only few issues I had during our stay was needing to have coins to use the washer/dryer and the cleanliness of our room. These was some discoloration on the head board and curtains
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Our room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.
- 1/5
The room was wore out needed some TLC it smelled like a wet dog and pee, when I talked to the staff they informed me that their dog friendly! We don't have a dog so I shouldn’t have to sleep in a room that smells like this. I was informed that it was a full hotel and they didn’t have any other room at this time.
- 5/5
Perfect property for what we needed
- 5/5
Good stay
- 4/5
The location and hotel in general were great. The food for breakfast can be improved.
- 5/5
Clean and amenities were great!
- 5/5
Free breakfast clean rooms almost brand new
- 5/5
this was the best value and excellent hotel
- 3/5
Room was fine. Staff were fine. There was a conflict regarding the price of parking. Was told $70 by the staff, but the ticket said $65. They would not honor the lower price
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
La ubicación es excelente, a dos calles el metro. Supermarket a una calle, una panadería de especialidades en la esquina. Quedamos encantados.
- 5/5
Check in, cleanliness of room, staff and breakfast were great!!! Staff were so friendly. It was a nice walk to museum campus even in November. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great location, wonderful, clean room with view of lake and Grant Park. Room was quiet. Easy access to CTA, Metra, and museum. Will very likely stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice property!
- 4/5
Staff was great and room was very clean
- 4/5
Staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. The bed was a little hard for me.
- 4/5
Great location to stay at if you’re attending a game at Soldier Fields. Nice rooms and quiet too.
- 4/5
clean room, swimming pool
- 5/5
Yes. We were very satisfied. Thank you. Great location for the aquarium and museum. Very accommodating. Loved the attached Chinese restaurant option. Bonus bakery attached also. Yum.
- 5/5
Room was just like the photos!! Super easy to check in and there was parking right across the street!!
- 4/5
We just have an experience we just asked for a bottle water because they don’t have water in the shelves (to purchase) and one of the staff at night time. She just gave us one bottle even we are asking for two. And she is saying that she only can give one bottle of water didn’t make sense because two of us need to drink water and we are just asking to just add one more.
- 1/5
My daughter was bitten by bed bugs on the sofa bed.
- 5/5
Great hotel and in good location
- 5/5
breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Felt safe walking around the hotel outside at night and the room was very clean.
- 5/5
Room was clean breakfast was terrible

- 5/5
Food was good housekeeping staff amazing
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
The rooms were spacious and clean. Even the fold out couch was comfortable. Even though we didn't cook in the kitchenette, it was well stocked, everything you needed, even a toaster
- 5/5
Beautiful and secure stay in perfect location.
- 5/5
Great location near many Chicago attractions. Spacious room with confortable beds. Free breakfast has good options. Pool and hot tub area very nice. Only negative is cost of parking.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious with a kitchen and sofa. Very comfortable and easy check in and out. Beautiful city and lake views.
- 3/5
Average standard , very basic beddings , extremely small kitchen area , otherwise okay for 1-2 nights stay.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Rooms were big with kitchenette, fridge, microwave. Breakfast was pretty good. Would stay here again
- 4/5
Room could be cleaner. The ac is on all the time and pretty loud. The room layout was nice.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time. Would stay there again next time we’re in Chicago. Only issue was the lights in the kitchen were dim making it hard to see, and they flickered in the bedroom.
- 5/5
I was positively surprise that they had dairy free milk for coffee! Amazing. We loved our stay.
- 5/5
Loved everything!
- 3/5
The room was clean. However the room and the hotel felt old and stuffy! Furniture was old and chipped off wall paper was starting to peel off in the bathroom. Worst of all toilet was leaking water bad! Had to turn it off after each use to minimize water all over the floor! Sadly I didn’t want to change rooms for fear of get a worse situation!
- 4/5
The breakfast was ok. My neighbor's noisy. Not far from L, so could hear them.
- 5/5
Awesome location for tourists! Brought my kids (10,8,5) and used public transportation and walked! Everything was easy to get too! The hotel was well kept up and very accommodating! Highly recommend!!
- 5/5
Spacious room, friendly front desk & housekeeping staff. Enjoyed the breakfast with hot & cold options. Convenient to the museum campus and also some good south Loop restaurants.
- 4/5
I didn’t not do breakfast
- 1/5
I didnt recieve my deposit back which was a lot of money and they told me that i was going to get it back 1 month ago
- 1/5
On top of that, the hotel itself had a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the building, including the room. The entire property smelled bad and did not feel clean or well-maintained. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Between the poor service, lack of accountability, and uncomfortable environment, I would not recommend staying here. Management should seriously address both the customer service issues and the cleanliness of the property.
- 4/5
The bathroom sink makes a loud screech if you have the water on full force which is a little Ann.. They should have 4 towels per room instead of 3. Breakfast has a lot of options to pick from. You should be able to find something.
- 1/5
Breakfast was terrible. The buffet was dirty. Very limited options. I had blood soiled sheets, my pull out bed linen was dirt. Asked for manager and was told they haven’t been available for 3 days. Was told I could speak with general manager and waited over 30 minutes. No one came to talk to me. Zero accommodations were given. Customer service was terrible.
- 4/5
Everything was great but the breakfast was underwhelming. I was hoping for waffles per usual at hotels and there were none. No bacon either, just sausage both days.
- 4/5
Great location great staff awful breakfast
- 5/5
Had a great stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop. The location was very convenient for exploring the city, and I was able to find parking right outside the property without any issues. The staff was friendly, and everything was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
we really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly!
- 5/5
The hotel front doors lock after a certain time & you have to use your keycard to get in, i loved this feature as it made me feel super safe & comfortable. the room was amazing & super clean. staff was helpful
- 4/5
This was a great location for the area and was within close walking distance of public transportation.
- 5/5
If you plan to stay at this hotel, make sure you visit the two well-organized supermarkets nearby.
- 4/5
Breakfast was excellent. Air conditioning loud but effective. Tv works well. Excellent views . Close to museums & parks. Friendly staff
- 3/5
Furniture was not very comfortable, the kitchen lacked necessities like dish soap and a sponge to wash dishes without running the dishwasher. There were only 3 plates for a room that sleeps 6, so I constantly needed to wash things. There was 1 pot and 1 skillet which was all scratched up and the Teflon coating was peeling, which is highly toxic. So I only had 1 pan to work with basically. So that was an obstacle while trying to make a good meal for my family. Breakfast was fine, I guess. Super busy and very hard to find a table in the Lodge in the first weekend and week in October. We had to sit outside one of the days. But we did get there in the last half hour of the meal. My kids ate fruit loops each morning and I had the egg, potato and meat they served. So it was a win to have breakfast each day. Oh, and as an eco-friendly mom, I was disappointed with the use of the cheapest plastic dishes in the Lodge. Very wasteful and lots of BPA. Loved the block it was located on! Trader Joe’s was 3 min. walk away. Super easy access to the Field Museum, Planetarium etc. So overall, we had a good stay, buts it’s always all about the details.
- 4/5
Expensive valet parking. $70 per night
- 5/5
Property is in reach of a lot of attractions, Grant Park is next door Trader Joe’s is a block away Soldier’s field is a 10-15 minute walk, or a 2 minute ride. Michigan Ave is a half a block to walk to restaurants, museums shops. The best part of my stay was the bed, it was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in made my stay very enjoyable. Getting good rest is the foundation for a successful vacation !!!
- 5/5
Excellent choice!
- 2/5
I was not happy with the service provided. They clean the room every other day and the day they were supposed to clean, it was not done. I came to the room in the evening to find the room undone. It was not a great experience for the price they charge. I was very unsatisfied with the service.
- 5/5
Just what we needed
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites. The hotel was walking distance to the CTA transit view, the rooms were clean and we loved the extra sofa and kitchen area.
- 3/5
Breakfast was meh. Had same standard hot food protein, potato and one form of egg. The hotel is clean and good for families. Pool was nice. Only bad thing was people above us were clearing very loud and having a party we complained to the front desk but the noise continued onto 1:00am in the morning. We are a family so it’s annoying not to be able to sleep. We were there three nights and only the last night it was bad.
- 4/5
It was okay
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Day.
- 5/5
Close to everything :) clean, family friendly
- 3/5
Valet was full on arrival which made our stay somewhat complicated. Wish we had known that ahead of time. One of the curtains in the living room area was stained and as someone who's worked in healthcare, it looked like it could've been blood. Unnerving right off the bat. We had to ask for extra towels & washcloths right away as the room was only stocked for 4 people (although it said it slept 6). And how on earth does the single bathroom not have a ventilation fan?!?! Again, the room sleeps 6, meaning potentially 6 people using the bathroom throughout the day. A wall vent in the shower didn't cut it. There needs to be a fan ran by switch. Also, all the dishes in the cabinet were dirty on arrival as well. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The kids loved the pool but the hot tub looked like it needed a good cleaning. Overall our stay was ok. For the price I wasn't expecting the best of the best but there were definitely a lot of areas that could use some help.
- 5/5
Well kept property with helpful staff. Close to the museum campus and soldier field. Elevator traffic can be busy. Views of th lake from our corner suite were great.
- 5/5
Very good customer service and care for us. The room was nicely cleaned and good location to everything!

Not much choice for shopping

Beautiful place loved everything about this hotel

No housekeeping service during our 3-night stay.
- 4/5
I liked the room and the view!
- 5/5
A quality home stay venue by Hilton. Breakfast is ‘the okay’ but included and coffee is always available in reception. Very safe and a short walk to ‘ Roosevelt’ ‘L’
- 4/5
Friendly staff!
- 5/5
Overall service
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views of the city. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel just a few weird people sitting outside which isnt the hotels fault.
- 4/5
Family and business friendly. Customer service was helpful.
- 5/5
Good location, very clean
- 4/5
The suites are the best 🙏
- 5/5
Family of 6, 4 kids under 5. We were able to book only 1 room where most places wanted us to book 2 different rooms. We stayed for 2 nights. Pretty kid friendly and the staff was friendly. Had quite a few options for breakfast. There were scuffs and marks are door frames and furniture but everything was clean. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The pool was pretty cold. But overall our stay was great and we had a nice view of city life!
- 5/5
Very good staff. Well-maintained property. Great location. Family-friendly. Excellent service.
- 5/5
Clean room. Great buffet breakfast. Was lucky to get a nice room with good views. Will definitely come back if I travel to Chicago next time.
- 5/5
Well worth the trip. Will be back. The view from our room was amazing
- 2/5
What I liked was that to access an elevator you needed your room key in order for it to work.
- 4/5
Very good location to many attraction places with just walk distance.
- 5/5
Nice and clean and good breakfast buffet
- 5/5
Close to downtown
- 5/5
Very safe and clean area. Felt comfortable walking around to nearby stores, supermarkets, etc. will definitely consider coming back!
- 1/5
I had my flight cancelled, so, I travelled the other day and when I get to the hotel to start my staying, the front desk guy said that my reservation was cancelled because I didn’t show up on the day I started the reservation and I should call them to inform that, so, I don’t know that I have to do that. He said they were full and there was no room available. I’ve got a refund for the rest of my staying. I’ve got another reservation to the same hotel that they said it was full, but I had to pay more for that.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very friendly and hotel was super clean
- 5/5
The service was excellent, and it was in a perfect location
- 3/5
Secondly, Homewood Suites has a restaurant attached. Called Leiya. It’s a delicious place for flavor Asian food. I spent $150 for 3-5 meals, vegetable fried rice, and fries. It was a bit pricey, but the food was delicious. Now to the not so good part. The suite we stayed in had the bathroom in the bedroom, instead of the main area where we walk in. Guests had to go in and out of the private bedroom. It has a quaint kitchenette, with limited pots, pans, bowls, plates, etc. The room was pretty clean, but there was mold on the side of the bathtub/shower. For the price, it was disappointing. You will also need to pay for parking. The hotel does have a $70 valet fee per night. There is a public parking area in front of the hotel, and prices vary due to your needs.
- 4/5
We loved this hotel. The problem was the 'not included' parking, which added $30 PER DAY, though the lot was across the street. Also the hotel puts an additional hold on your credit card *per day* for incidentals. It was $100 per day, returned 3-5 business days after checkout. For us that meant we, who are not wealthy and stayed 5 days, could not do our Chicago visit justice, and had to pare our plans down. It was disappointing since we thought we had found a good deal that turned out to be more expensive.
- 5/5
Loved the outdoor patio.
- 5/5
I like the full kitchen and it has everything i need. Love the bed is so comfortable. The area a bit far from the center but is to reach with bus and L train. The huge point is so close to Traders Joe.
- 5/5
Great. Could have more breakfast options but overall good.
- 5/5
More variety. Breakfast
- 5/5
Great location, walkable to sites and .2 walk to transit. Room has everything you could need. Studio apartment with appliances if you choose to cook. We will use this location in the future.
- 5/5
View from our room was absolutely beautiful. Loved the beds and bathroom. Shower had great water pressure. TV was clean. Only complaint I’d say was the wifi didn’t permit certain streaming services to be accessed. We had issues with Hulu and Disney Plus. Otherwise an excellent hotel. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Comfy
- 5/5
I enjoyed our stay at this location. We didn’t have a rental car and only took public transit from the airport and our walk with luggage was literally a block when taking the blue and red lines. The location was perfect biking distance to things like millennium Park, The Boat Tours, and Navy Pier. The hotel was clean, staff was super friendly every encounter we had with them. The view from our room was absolutely stunning. We had continental breakfast and it was ok food just your average “hold me over til lunch” deal. We didn’t use the pool so we can’t speak on that. When we arrived we were able to leave our luggage with valet so we could explore until our check in time. But yeah 10/10 recommend.
- 5/5
Very happy with my stay at this hotel also the staff was also very friendly and helpful Thank you .
- 5/5
Close to Michigan ave
- 4/5
All good
- 5/5
Good location in South Loop to museums and Subway and anything else you might need. There’s a couple grocery stores nearby as well. Fridge and stove was great too!
- 1/5
Also security supervisor was very rude.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and comfortable and the included breakfast was definitely a perk. The quality was basic but the variety was nice. The pool space was beautiful, with floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the city. Water was colder than expected but was a good time regardless. Close to public transportation, grocery stores, great restaurants and a 15 minute walk to museum campus. All in all, was a successful stay for our little family.
- 5/5
8 out 10
- 4/5
Cons- You share the breakfast area, pool, gym, and laundry with the Hilton hotel connected to Home Suites and it gets REALLY crowded in those tight quarters during peak times. The pros outweighed the cons though and I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and convenient
- 1/5
Checking in was a really bad experience. Check-in time was 4pm. We arrived and we were told we could check in at 2pm but that didn’t happen. Our room was not ready until 5;30pm. The front desk was great with updates but it was housekeeping who didn’t accommodate us. Never apologized but argued with our request. Bad experience to the beginning of our trip.
- 5/5
We could not have asked for a better hotel. Central location. Short walk to the museums. Close to the Red Line and grocery stores. The pool and hot tub were really nice. Great breakfast and Wednesday evening social. Clean.
- 5/5
Booked the trip last minute for a corner suite. Got there and it was on the 22nd floor with amazing views of Grant Park and lake Michigan. Got in late from a delayed flight (O'Hare) and got woken up at 7am with maintenance asking to fix my toilet. Kid seemed more embarrassed than I was when I told him he had the wrong room. Other than the vanity sink being a little slow to drain the place was great and the staff was very friendly. I'll definitely book again if I'm ever in Chicago.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel!
- 5/5
I was concerned before our arrival about parking costs (after reading other reviews) and how to reduce it, but decided to use the hotel’s parking in the end. They offer valet only parking with 24-hour in and out privileges for $70 a night. Most cheaper options seemed to lock the car in without access for the duration, which would not have worked for us. The faucet made a loud honking noise and the hotel fixed it immediately after we mentioned it. Also, we did not find a room with 2 double beds for our family of 4 and while the sofa bed looked somewhat uncomfortable to me, the kids had no complaints!
- 4/5
Close to everything
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
This is my favorite place to stay in the city of Chicago. Lots to see close to grant park. We are able to walk to most places. Staff is so friendly ans polite
- 5/5
very nice for family unit
- 5/5
Staff was very responsive to a problem with the door lock. They were on it within 5 minutes and being notified and problem was solved shortly afterwards.
- 5/5
Everything was Excellent! Only thing I would recommend is if you need to do laundry make sure you have some quarters! If my family and I visit Chicago we will most definitely be staying here again! Thank you!
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Really convenient location. Kitchen floor was sticky upon arrival, but unit was clean otherwise. Good dining and transportation options nearby. Poor selection of snacks/drinks in hotel lobby.
- 4/5
We had issues with our AC we asked for it to be fixed the first day, it didn’t happen. They fixed it the next day we had to ask again. When needing assistance at the front it was normally well staffed however we had a time were we along w several other people waited for over 25 minutes for anyone to be present at the desk to assist. Room was clean & everything you would want in a room with a gorgeous view
- 4/5
Hotel is well located, clean. Room was large and kitchenette helpful. King bed excellent. Spacious shower. Only minus is the sofa bed which is small and not suitable for two large adults.
