    The room was supposed to be a king and queen. It was a queen and a pullout sofa that was a full. The pull out bed was missing sheets, the room was missing a phone to call for the sheets, the bathroom was missing hand towels and only had towels for 2 people. The beds were not comfortable.

    I booked a room on Expedia but when I arrived they said they had no vacancy. This was despite a reservation confirmation number. This happened after a flight cancellation at midnight and the staff was not and offered no other place to stay.

    Great place to stay! Location is great and walkable with good food options. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Stored our luggage at check in so we could wander around until check in and at check out also. Only down side was we couldn’t get an early check in because it was so busy. Other than that great place to stay.

    Upon arrival, the room and common areas appeared poorly maintained. There were noticeable odors, stains, worn bedding, and debris in hallways that did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The bathroom exhaust fan was also not working. I immediately brought my concerns to the front desk and requested a different room. Staff showed me another room, but it was in worse condition than the first. I was then told that additional cleaning would be performed the following day; however, that never happened. I appreciate that the front desk staff attempted to offer another room, but the cleanliness issues remained unresolved during my stay. What disappointed me most was that the condition of the property did not match the expectations created by the listing and reviews. I understand that hotels can have occasional issues, but I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay at this property again.

    We checked in Sunday and checked out on Friday. Our room was only cleaned one time during the week, even though we called multiple times to the front desk and housekeeping to request cleaning. The trash cans were overflowing in our room since no one ever came to clean, we had no clean/fresh towels and breakfast food was not good at all! I would never stay here again!

    The property is located in a beautiful part of the city with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the lake. The staff was great, very helpful and responsive. The room was clean. My one negative response is that the mattress was past its service life in that it had obvious indentations where bodies had laid on it.

    We made reservations for 4 people. When we arrived, had to make our own bed—open the sleeper sofa etc. we asked for a blanket and the one provided to us had two big holes in it. I expected more from this chain brand.

    We stay 4 nights , 3 days of out of 4 breakfast wasn’t enough item and sign says due to delay in delivery they are out of items . shower wasn't clean and not washed you could see hairs on the shower wall and they even don’t provide you with hand lotion. Wasn’t a good experience.

    They did serve fresh fruit, cold hard boiled eggs, some days stuffed egg omelette with cheese, which was too salty,yogurt 1kind of bread. There was a regular coffee(no coffee or vlackbtea in to room though)which was too bland, no black tea at all. They mentioned they have ordered it. When asked 3rd day about coffee and tea, they told me yo go buy from the grocery stif I wanted it so badly. After that I never asked them nor Went for breakfast. Very disappointing as badic necessities weren't provided for a hotel by Hilton??

    Staff were great, ideal location for getting around the city. Rooms are big, clean and have everything you need. Only problem was the mattress felt a bit old, we kept rolling together in the middle. Friends also had problems with air conditioning in several rooms, which hotel said was a problem they’re trying to deal with at the moment (but our room was 100% ok for that!)

    I liked how it was a few blocks from a train station to take me to the city center or within walking distance from the Magnificent Mile. The room was spacious and nice too. I liked that breakfast is included with the room. I didn't like how my room was only cleaned once during the week I stayed there.

    Great location. Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from. We used the train from O’hare to get near our hotel at the Clark/Lake stop. It was about a 5 mins ride with uber to our hotel. This was very convenient and cost effective as we didn’t rent a car because of the high cost of parking in the area. We walked most around the city and caught a ride share when needed which were very affordable. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

    The location was excellent The service. Upon arrival the room was not ready for us, we had to keep calling them for basic things that were missing like towels and blankets, until the 5th day when they finally stuffed the room with the necessary stuff after cleaning. Some of the staff were rude as though you were staying there for free and were asking for favors when needing things. The thermostat broke in our room and the room was hot and stuffy, when asked to get it fix they said “it was a problem affecting several rooms” I requested the window to be opened a bit because I could hardly breath and we were like that for 3 days, they didn’t even offer a change of room and if they knew this was a problem affecting several rooms, why didn’t they notify us instead of waiting to bring this to their attention. And the comes breakfast. If you think you are getting a deal and convenience because they offer breakfast, think again and save yourself the trouble. Breakfast was plain horrible, especially during the week, you could tell things were coming out of the freezer like bread, berries, or were old like cereal, bread, boiled eggs. My group decided to go to Trader Joe’s and get some tougher, fresh fruit, bread and other breakfast items. The shower head was stuck in one setting so we couldn’t adjust the spraying making it annoying to shower.

    For a five-night stay, I checked in to find only two packs of coffee to brew in the room. I asked housekeeping, called the front desk, talked to the front desk, etc. I was told to go to the lobby for coffee there, but I was working in my room and never planned to leave any day of my stay prior to 12 noon. Finally, on day 4, housekeeping knocked for the first time ever. She asked if I needed anything, so I told her my desperation for coffee for the room. She somehow tracked down two packets and brought them to me. Finally! The hall outside my room was littered with scraps of paper, and I could tell it had not been vacuumed once while I was there. My television did not work: NO SIGNAL! Actually, I was too busy to watch t.v, but I did want to catch the evening news. The television did not work!

The included breakfast ran out of juice and food. Not up to the standard that we are you used to with a Hilton property. Our first time at a Home 2 Suites and will probably never go to one again.     The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The couch, and lounge chair in the living room had stains on them that looked weird, dirty, and questionable. The dishwasher was dirty, and had dishwasher pods broken, and spilled all inside of it. The smell in the room smelled like old mop water. The young lady at the front desk on the second floor had a bad attitude when I asked her nicely to repeat herself because I couldn't hear her say the time and location area for breakfast. When I arrived to breakfast the next day, it was cold, not good, and were limited options, when it opened at 7am on Saturday. There was another customer/resident that was waiting, and angry about the breakfast as well. Also, it was very loud in the area, with people outside arguing, yelling, and fighting. I will not stay there again.

    They did not refilled the bathroom amenities such as soap, so out of the 8 nights, they provided only two small hand soaps. Staff was friendly most of the times. Breakfast was just ok, not too many options. But the bed was terrible, the mattress was too soft and lumpy it was difficult to get some rest, this was the worst part of the stay. Location was good, you can move around Chicago very easily and it is located a walking distance from most of the bus or metro stops.

    I've stayed here many times, but this stay was a terrible experience. Staff was unhelpful, the room was shabby (torn and stained sofa, stained carpeting, marked up walls, no shades on the bedside lamps - just bare bulbs, worn out, uncomfortable mattress, pocket bathroom door, that couldn't be pulled from its pocket, etc.

    The hotel was generally okay and the breakfast was fine, but our experience was marred by a complete lack of housekeeping. We were told the rooms would be cleaned every other day, but that never happened. Even when we called housekeeping directly, they would promise that someone was coming up, yet nobody ever showed. We eventually had to go down to the front desk ourselves to get fresh towels, more toilet paper, and soap because they simply wouldn't come to restock anything. It was disappointing to have to manage our own basic supplies when the staff repeatedly said they would handle it.

    Very convenient location, most of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant, breakfast was fairly good for the variety and convenience. The en-suite half kitchen came in handy for us as well. On our last day, my husband forgot his key card and was outside and asked an employee to be let in so he could wait for me to come down and bring his raincoat. The woman ignored him and then locked the door when another guest was struggling with the door. She was the only rude employee we encountered though. The plate to the bathroom door was improperly attached and fell off the doorframe on our first day. We didn’t bother to contact the reception about this as our booking was just for me and my husband. The shower also was not thoroughly cleaned but it was no bother. The rest of the room was very clean.

    I get the sense that for breakfast, the staff are under pressure to keep costs to a minimum. Examples: waffle batter very thin, no spray to keep the waffle maker non-stick. Food not refreshed/refilled often. Items offered seemed to change daily, no whole milk, only over-processed yoghurts, apart from one day. Breakfast room extremely crowded at weekend. Elevators slow and not all in operation. Promotes Hilton brand, but really this hotel is not a good advertisement for the Hilton brand.

    The property was great, located close to everything I want to see including wrigley field and soldier field. The breakfast was more then I expected and was a little different each day which was a nice change. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Our room had a big fridge and a full size microwave which was great for late night snacking. Walking into the ground floor was nice because Ambar smelled like smoky bacon which I enjoyed every time we left and came back. There was a homeless lady that got on the elevator with us and she smelled of urine. She tried to get us to take her to the 6th floor then then 13th after I explained to her if she wasn’t a guest she would have to leave. I redirected her to the lobby where the staff directed her to leave.

    The hotel is in a great area. The staff we had interactions with were very friendly and helpful. Honestly the only complaint I have are the beds and pillows. They are awful. That bed is like sleeping on concrete and the pillows are almost nonexistent. Woke up with osteoporosis. Not really but you get the point.

    Elevator wait time was LONG!!! Bathroom door lock was broken, i was locked inside the bathroom and had to use a credit card to pry my way out. Shower pressure was little to any pressure. Overall the stay was ok, bed and pillows were comfy. Location was nice, lots of shops and resturants within walkimg distance. GRADE OF STAY...6.5/10.

    Staff was very unwelcoming & unhelpful. Sheets & blankets were dirty, we waited 15 minutes for new blankets & sheets that were also dirty. Water did not stay hot in the shower without having to adjust every 4 minutes or so. Elevators took very long which caused me to have to take the stairs at 6 months pregnant carrying luggage.     First - my room was very clean. That matters the most to me. It looked like the window could open, but I couldn't get it to work. I would have loved to have fresh air. The dark curtains did not close completely, but it was close enough. The room was a little musty - thus the comment about wanting fresh air, but it was tolerable. The breakfast options were simple, but there were a few hot items. The staff was fantastic!!! Very helpful and funny - especially the gentleman working at night.

    2025 New Years trip to Chicago 4 nights. Definitely wanted to share a review on this place as we were a little concerned based on reviews from other websites... This place was awesome. Clean and it was modern(bathroom). Little interaction with staff but they were friendly when there was. In this day and age to get a hotel in a major city for under 130.00 out the door can't be beat, and again the place was perfectly fine from a cleanliness and modern not outdated perspective. The little kitchenette area was so nice too. Gym was also nice. Back to what was so great was for this price and location. Pretty much 95% of the things we did(willis tower, navy pier, old town for improv, all the must do food stops) were all a 1.5 mile walk from this hotel so didnt even have to use the subway much. Will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

    The room was supper clean! They only have room service on Thursdays I believe but you can always request room service for any day! The front desk person was supper nice and friendly! Checkout is at 11am and our flight didn’t leave till 7pm so we asked if we can store our luggage and the guy was supper nice about it and put away our luggage’s for us! Overall a 10/10!

    Stayed up this hotel in April and loved it so I decided to come back this past weekend.     The room was not cleaned. My entire stay. There was only 2 pillows on the bed. I also had to get my own sheets. No extra towels and my room was not smelling the greatest either. The shower was subpar as well. The water kept getting cold and the handle was extremely hard to twist. Definitely needed to be upgraded. Not a great stay at all. Very disappointing since it was my birthday and I was happy to spend it at the hilton. Very regrettable decision at this point.

    Wont stay there again. Filthy room, don’t clean….cleaned toilet once in 10 day stay but never mopped floor; difficult to get clean sheets. Indigent people sleeping at front door. Had to speak to manager who did come to room quickly but no results from his ‘ speaking’ with staff who he said are new and sheet service is poor per manager. Hey, buck stops with manager.

    The room was spotless upon arrival and the staff overall was amazing. My family REALLY loved the hotel, the fire place and “continental breakfast that was more than we bargained for. Ashley, Skylar and Mark were all very attentive to our needs and Skylar, the mgr, really worked to fix a broken situation that doesn’t require mentioning specifically because his resolution left us all feeling valued as customers. We will definitely stay here again.

    Imagine being two 60 yr. old women in a visiting state having to walk in the dark to and from the hotel to the car. It was so uncomfortable that We decided after our fearful walk back to the hotel that we’d just Taxi around the city instead. (Xtra money for that) Upon check out we voiced our concerns and was told that the general manager would reach out…hmmm- we haven’t heard from anyone yet.     It's a mid-range hotel. The cleanliness was not satisfactory, there were hairs in the shower box and drawers. Crumbs on the carpet and kitchen sink. The bed was sagging in the middle, and it was noticeable from the moment we entered the room and looked at the bed. I'm pretty sure the bedspread hadn't been changed, it had another person's perfume impregnated in it. The location is great. There weren't many options for breakfast, every day there was bread, waffles, muffin, a yogurt with some toppings, coffee and milk. Sometimes the restocking was slow, so during peak hours not all options were available. It's not a cheap hotel, they should take more care of the cleanliness and condition of the rooms. Not changing the bed sheets seems absurd and disgusting to me. The photos are from when we left the room for check-out and I think it should be more in order than when we arrived. Anyway, for the price I paid, there are better options.

    The staff was super rude. we checked in and got to one of the rooms and it had not been cleaned. Staff attendant up front didn’t even apologize for the disgusting mess and was very rude about it. Even though we were accommodating and willing to change rooms. I complained to Expedia and wrote a message to the property/hotel manager and never heard back. The rooms got cleaned once for an entire 5 day stay. Meaning we had to seek additional towels and toiletries basically every day. Aside from the location, there’s nothing good to say about this hotel. Breakfast was fine.

    The thin woman who works the early morning at the frontdesk is VERY rude, speaks in a pedantic and discourteous manner. Similarly, the security guard who was on duty when I arrived was very discourteous. He told me (from a distance and with gestures) that I had to press a button to open the door, but the button is tiny and I couldn't see it. He then started gesturing rudely and aggressively. The breakfast was average, neither too much nor too little, just the essentials. Go early for breakfast because they don't replenish what runs out.

    Bathroom exhaust broken, had to request for cooktop and tiny skillet. When I asked for a pot to heat soup, staff told me to microwave it. When I asked for a can opener, staff said to bring it down and he can “ghetto it”. I did and he couldn’t. I demonstrated the issue and asked for pliers so I can fix it myself. Fortunately other concierge staff member was wiser and sent housekeeping to replace can opener. When I asked day staff for printout of receipt of stay. Staff said it would be emailed. A simple yes/no should be the answer. Breakfast selection much to be desired and practically the same daily. Good location but concierge staff may need better training for customer service interaction. Housekeeping staff were great and responsive.

    Our room was nice and spacious. The Internet to our TV went out in the second day of our trip. They were not able to fix but did adjust our rate of the room. Upon returning home, we discovered lots of bites from clothes that we washed at the hotel. Assuming that there may be bed bugs in the washer because these clothes were not dried in the dryer. Be cautious when using the laundry as there are a lot of gues that come and go.

    Now, the pictures that were online did not match the actual room. I had high expectations for the room condition as it was in the River North neighborhood as well as I just had an INCREDIBLE stay at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Medical District in Dallas, Texas. The Chicago room was in need of a paint job as well as deep clean. I travel with my own disinfectant wipes and Microbran disinfectant spray. The office chair appeared to not seen a wiped down in months. Finally, the toilet continued to run after I flushed it. However, I shared the issue with Declan and we I returned to the room, it was no longer running.

    I had a great stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better, everything you need is close by. There’s a Target and a Walgreens within walking distance, which made it super convenient for picking up essentials. The hotel also offers a really good breakfast each morning. Overall, the combination of a great location, nearby shopping, and a solid breakfast made my stay very enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again!

    On the whole we had a very positive experience during our stay. The rooms were great, the bed very comfortable and a great shower! We were able to ask at reception for more coffee/teabags/toilet roll, shower gel with no issues and dealt with prompty. Staff were kind and efficient. No issues with WIFI apart from having to re-connect most mornings. Rooms were a little dusty in areas. Breakfast was sufficient but go early!

    I stayed for 3 days and my room was not made up even once. I asked for fresh towels and for the room to be made up, I was told it would be done 5pm but it wasn’t. Also, the breakfast is terrible, cold eggs in a plastic drawer, served on paper plates. Very poor experience

    Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was good. There was only a half a roll of toilet paper, and no refill. And I don't think the bottle water should only be complimentary for gold/silver status. It should be 2 bottles for all guests. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay.

    The location of this property is great. But the service qas horrible. We stayed 4 nights and our roomnwas only cleaned once. When we checked in we had to wait 2 hours past check in time. No apology or credit was given for this inconvience. Most of the staff was very rude. I would not stay here again.

    Mark at the front desk suggested that we make our own bed, even when the room was to be cleaned that day, that every one in housekeeping had left. He even told us that we were not on the list for that day cleaning, but when we showed up to check-in the first day, he was the same person who told us that it was scheduled for the third day. This situation was straightened out afther another associate showed up and explained that they had someone running late and that our room was on the list, and it would be cleaned.

    The staff provides you an amazing customer service, and the room even gives you a personal touch when you enter. Everyone is friendly- saying hi to you every now and then and checking up on you if there’s anything that you need. They’re very much observant like that, but they never hover.

    The hotel was located near a lot of restaurants and close to the subway or metro stations. Parking was a few blocks away in an enclosed parking garage. Check in is on the second floor, not when you walk through the doors. We stayed for 2 nights. The check-in counter was very nice and friendly. We were out of body wash and didn’t get a refill after they said they were sending some up. There was a hair that wasn’t ours on one of the wash clothes when we first arrived. Thought the fan in the bathroom didn’t work, but was told it works, it’s just silent. The nice thing was there was a small fridge/freezer that we did use. The water pressure wasn’t the best in the shower. We did have to request more towels after checkin, even though I requested them beforehand. I think the worst part was the bed. It just wasn’t comfortable for me and my husband and felt like we were sleeping on coils all night. Our backs were killing us every morning. We tried to go get breakfast, but it would all be empty but a few things left. It was super busy and packed. I’m assuming you would have to go at 6 when they open. I personally wouldn’t book here again when we come back to Chicago.

    This was a great value stay. The room was huge like a true suite with kitchenette, microwave, larger refrigerator, dinnerware, silverware, glassware, microwave and dishwasher (no dishwashing detergent was provided though). Also, I could not find an in-room safe anywhere, which was sorta disappointing. The fitness center was very basic with a good set of dumbbells. There were also washer and dryer machines within the fitness center that was a nice touch. The blackout curtains and sheers were both automated and could be opened/closed at a touch of a button. The location was within a short walk to the train station Chicago & State. I would definitely stay here again.

    I’m mentioning this under the pretense that it was the air and water show however check in time is 15:00 and we finally got in to our room at 15:45. Not a huge deal and fortunately we had no place to rush off to or we would have been screwed. Also, parking is not convenient. I get it, the location is ideal and such a busy and fabulous part of a tremendous city…… just be prepared to walk. And if it was a Chicago winter?…… oy

    Overall very good!! Only hiccup would be the breakfast service. Service was poor, very low pace and not very well attended. Food came in small batches not sufficient to cover the whole line of guests waiting in line. My stay was during the week, i cannot imagine how crowded would be during weekends.

    A travel crib was provided upon our request in the front desk, staff was very kind and helpful at all times. Magnificent mile and some landmarks (Hancock Tower, Trump Tower, Chicago river, etc) within walking distance, else, also nearby bus stops and metro stations (great public transportation). Only thing we did not like was breakfast, decided better to eat outside which is a good option at the end since there are multiple great places around. Overall, great experience for us!… Would come back for sure.

    This hotel's location is just great, the building is in good shape and the rooms are ok, not great, especially if your group is larger than 2 and you need to open the sofa-bed, otherwise there is enough space. The bathroom is functional, but for some reason they decided to install sliding doors, which in my case was broken, so was getting use to use the toilet and shower with the door slightly opened. The reception is on the 2nd floor, which is not a big deal, except if you arrive at night, or return from a walk, and find the door locked, needing to use your room key to open it, you still will need to use that card to go up wth the elevator. There is no parking place, and anyone uses the spot in front of the door, it definitively is not a good place to stay if you are driving a car. There is always a whim noise in the room, coming from engines or AC, I don't know, but the noise was constant, and at night was kind of annoying, even staying at the 14th floor. The view was great though. Finally, I left it for last, the breakfast. It was the worst experience, not just for the food, that wasn't bad, was basic but pretended to be something they are not: continental. No cheese, no ham, not even bacon. The worst part was the employees attitude replying you that they didn't have cheese that day, or that the frozen pre-cooked eggs they serve were still on the oven. Week days they open 6-9 AM, and 7-10AM weekends, the thing they enjoyed the most is at 8:59 when they turned everythin OFF

    Average to below average stay. Self parking at $50/day is less than convenient as the garage is a bit of a walk away from the hotel itself. Breakfast was well below par with items taking forever to be replenished. Coffee was watered down to pretty much zero taste. Front desk staff was rather rude when I was trying to get my parking ticket validated stating “you shouldn’t have inserted, rather scanned the ticket” as if that was a major inconvenience for them. Speaking of the room itself - the shower curtain was well short of the floor and a significant amount of water trickled out of the shower area unfortunately. Our sink was clogged which was thankfully promptly fixed by maintenance. The room does have basic utensils, a refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. There is no complimentary water whoever so come prepared or pay $4/bottle from the small store next to the check in counter. In summary, a typical downtown-ish hotel which travelers pick simply for convenience rather than the experience per se. I would stay away from this property and go with several other downtown options instead.

    Overall good property for the price. Very spacious room, and nice staff. The only problem was there was a nearby bar with music that was very loud Friday and Saturday night until late hours that essentially shook the walls. Outside of that, no complaints and it was easy to get everywhere I needed to while feeling like I was home.

    Our room specifically had sticky tile floors as we entered the room along with a musty smell. The sliding bathroom doors did not close easily. We had to use force or leave them slightly open impeding privacy. The AC worked in the room with the king bed, however, it was not working in the couch/kitchen area. This was only frustrating at night while the kids were trying to sleep on the pull out couch. It got warm and stuffy for them. Lastly, I did not like that the staff asked for us to verbally share our room number in front of other patrons while purchasing drinks from the hotel drink station. This led to an extra charge to our account that we didn’t authorize because identification was never required while making the purchase.

    The few people I met on the floor agreed that this hotel was “unstayable” and they were checking out early as we did. When we called down to see if we could get a different room They said they were booked and could not change our room. This place is Ok if you don’t plan on getting much sleep even with the help of an iPhone sleep app on at the loudest level hoping to drown out the loud traffic noise. If you can’t get a room on the top floor maybe you won’t hear the loud street noise constantly. The doors to the rooms on each floor slam shut. So even if you stay at the end of the hall you can hear every single door slam shut. We used the glassware. When I went to run the dishwasher I found the panel that lets out the soap was stuck shut. So we were drinking out of dirty glasses since the soap was still in the dishwasher! Another couple staying on the floor said this was the worst Homes 2 Suites they ever stayed in. I have heard these sites only put up a few one stars. So I gave it 4 stars in hopes that would put this up so you could read this. Best of luck

    When we arrived, there were immediately a few problems with the room. The desk chair was beyond dirty to the point where we were not able to use it. The dishwasher had a full load of dishes not unloaded. There was hair in the shower sitting on the drain. The comforter had marks on the end of it. It did not seem like it was thoroughly cleaned. When the hotel reached out to see how we were doing, I listed the problems and asked to receive cleaning the following day even though it is normally done every other day. They added our room to the list for Sunday cleaning. When housekeeping came at 10:40AM, I asked them to return as we were getting ready to leave at 11:00AM. They said they would try to, yet nobody returned to clean or fix the problems. Additionally, as this hotel is downtown Chicago, I expected some form of security. It said on the entrance doors that the doors were locked 24/7 for security and a keycard was needed for entrance, yet this is not true as the doors were always open and we never used our card to get in. If the statement of the doors being locked is published, then it needs to be true and not simply there for design. Very disappointed in the service we received. It seemed like our concerns were overlooked and for a hotel whose mission statement is “clean, comfortable accommodations”, our needs and expectations were not met.
