The location was great, but the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Check-in and check-out staff wasn't the friendliest, but the overnight staff great.

Ideally located. What You lose in views it makes up for in its great location. Was here for GoFest 2026 and the Bean, Giordano's, CVS and even the Riverwalk were all less than 15 mins away. Of course, mileage varies by people's walking speed. But you have everything within a 30min walk, be it sights to see, stores to shop or just a simple stroll in the park or thru downtown. If you have comp breakfast, it'll suffice, otherwise, probably best to grab some to make or eat elsewhere. Unsure of dinner since I ate out. Overall, would stay again.

The location was fantastic; the room was big enough for 2 people with a roomy bathroom. Our room was very clean as well. Breakfast was just OK, rather underwhelming given the price of the hotel. Bar and food was very good and the service was great. Breakfast was pretty underwhelming given the type and price of hotel.

Excellent location , clean but the coffee was horrible. I also complained to the main desk about the beds making to much noise that I wake up every time you move. By the third day nobody did anything about it and I just had one more day so I have to deal with that. Other than that it was nice, the gym is excellent too.

The location was perfect, but the rooms were too small and the lobby is just too narrow. It’s probably the smallest Hilton hotel I’ve ever been to. They offer free breakfast, but it’s more like a snack, on second thought it’s not free because we have to use a voucher that we paid for.

The hotel was clean. The staff was nice. The bed was terrible, very hard and uncomfortable. The frame sounded like it was wooden and made so much noise when you moved. One day they forgot to give us body towels, I didnt notice until I was already in the shower, they did bring some up right away but didnt apologize for forgetting them. The room amenities were great, the microwave and fridge came in handy. All said for the price they charge the beds should be more comfortable then they were.

I booked this room through Expedia and it did not include breakfast. The room was small and echoey. The hallway was noisy, there is only one ice maker for the entire hotel. The WiFi is horrible. (Had to use my cell data my entire stay). There is no parking. There is valet next door for $71USD per 24 hours, it does have in and out privileges just text and they’ll get your vehicle. The hotel was within walking distance of a lot of attractions

The staff were sloppy in cleaning my room. They left dirty towels and cleaning cloth in the room after cleaning. The management didn't believe me when I raised the issue until I went back to my room and brought them the dirty towel along with the cloth that the staff used to clean the surfaces. The staff also forget to get the trash out of my room after cleaning (left it on the floor next to the door inside my room.)

It was in a different floor, but I was able to get there and back to my room in a few minutes There was hotel staff In the lobby every time we entered, even late at night Housekeeping was great. They expect you to go a mile round trip every time your dog needs a potty break. Ask yourself, how many times a day does your dog go potty? Especially if you have mobility issues. Thinking about driving your pet. This is downtown Chicago. Good luck driving. We had to leave after the first night. I explained the situation to them, and they refused to refund the two additional nights we could not use. Pet parents, stay clear of this hotel. Hotels.com do better screening hotels you advertise as pet friendly.

Excellent location. 30 minutes walking to most major attractions. Parking is not great but there are plenty of places to park for a price. The location itself is very clean and the staff is very helpful. Small messages asking how your day is going is a nice touch. Hands down the best feature is its central location to major events and tourist spots. I would highly recommend it just for its central location.

We had an exceptionally clean and comfortable room. Every part of the building was clean. Checking in and out was easy, and they held our luggage for most of the day after we checked out. The staff was friendly and greeted you every time you came in. The location was great, too.

This hotel is located in the perfect spot. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is spacious with the microwave and refrigerator. My only drawback was that the shower water did not get very hot. The sink did however.

The hotel is very nice; my only complaint is that the kitchen was closed for renovations, which was part of the reason I booked to stay there.

We booked three rooms for a party of 10 people and were required to pay $150 incidental holds per room (totaling $450), along with valet parking at $71 per day plus tax. Despite the high cost associated with this property, the level of service we received during check-in and throughout the stay did not reflect the standard expected from a Hilton property. At check-in, the front desk agent provided very little information about the hotel. We were not informed that the restaurant was closed, nor were we told how to access the Wi-Fi, where amenities were located, or how valet parking worked. These are basic details typically shared with guests upon arrival. We only learned some of this information after overhearing the staff explaining it to other guests. Additionally, our group was placed on lower floors without being given any options, while we overheard other guests being offered choices regarding their room locations. This inconsistency in how guests were treated raised concerns for us. Another frustrating issue involved late checkout. The night before departure, we were told that a late checkout would be granted. However, the following morning we were informed that it was not allowed unless we paid $25 per room, which we ultimately had to do. The information given to us was inconsistent & frustrating

My second time at this location. It does the job for me. I was not on holiday, so needed a "home base". The room was roomy, bed comfortable. The shower worked well (not always the case in some places). The location was the greatest advantage for me - heart of Chicago, close to everything, by walking, bus, L, or taxi. The staff was courteous and responsive. Only negative was the restaurant was not functioning. But plenty of food options nearby.

Just to be disturbed at 11:55pm for music that was on 16 out of 32 volume level on a Saturday night (not to mention Valentines Day).:.Extra fuel to the fire, the bed was full of long blonde/light brown hair (mind u I have black stitch braids)…the bathroom sink was also full of several different small hairs… nonetheless the housekeepers need to do much better on cleaning/sanitizing.. Wnd maybe thicker/sound proof walls ..either way we did not enjoy our stay considering we paid $268 plus $75 for parking !!!!

Everything down to the staff, the room, and the location was amazing. I will definitely keep this place in mind when I stay in Chicago again. I love the fact that I arrived at 10:00 AM to my hotel and they were willing to let me into my room early and even let me pick the floor that I wanted. On my last day there when I was checking out, they held my baggage while I was moving out and about through the city before my flight in the evening. They were extremely accommodating with any questions that I had and my room was spotless. Definitely recommend this hotel!

I immediately called the hotel and was told there was nothing they could do for me. It was non refundable and non transferable. I made a mistake and immediately tried to fix it and was met with no understanding. None. And I was out $250. I will never use hotels.com again will tell everyone I know not to as well

The things that are not ideal: for the price paid it was very frustrating to find that you need to pay for water (unless you have some status with Hilton); the towels are so small that I thought there were kids size; the hotel has only 2 lifts to serve 25 floors; sound insulation is terrible, you can hear any noise coming from the street, I'm glad I took earplugs with me otherwise it would be difficult to sleep at night.

This by far and away was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. Upon arrival the lobby had water leaking everywhere from the ceiling with buckets and hazard tape sectioning off all the seating area so it was alerted a bad impression. Day two was WORSE. I have a broken wrist and I’m in a splint/brace. When I saw how the showers were set up I knew it would be an issue. The bar they consider a safety bar (imo it’s not because they hang towels from there is to my right so I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold

We had a very nice stay, but it was only for two of the three nights we had reserved for. The staff was nice, but we were told the hotel had overbooked for a convention and we had to be moved to another hotel for the first night. They covered it, but it was still disruptive to our anticipated time in Chicago with the multiple check ins and outs. We were also told that Expedia should have alerted us to this, but we did not receive any communication about this from you. The property and staff were generally excellent over the two nights we did stay.

Very staff, room was very clean and had everything I needed. Bartender at lobby bar very friendly not very knowledgeable. I realize they would be city noise and night, however last night there multiple cars, people on streets outside hotel all having car door windows open with extra speakers blasting very loud music, enough to make jewelry move on side table( 5 floors up) seems like management could have done something since car was parked on the street right outside lobby entrance but was told no. This noise lasted over 2 hours, starting at 2 am

The hotel has valet parking but there’s a parking garage across the street that is slightly cheaper – although still rather pricey. The room was rather good, pretty spacious with a nice bathroom and shower, but the view could’ve been better. My only issue with the hotel is with the restaurant – there was only one waiter who was doubling as cook. We waited 90 minutes to be served a mediocre “a la carte” breakfast. If you need to stay near the North Loop, this is definitely a good and accessible hotel, but I would have breakfast at one of the many close by restaurants.

Plenty of options to walk to for food and drinks. Relatively affordable considering it’s downtown Chicago. Room was on the small side, beds weren’t very comfortable and I highly recommend bringing your own pillow as the pillows felt like some some stuffed two t-shirts in a pillow case, paper thin. All in all not horrible if you are looking for a relatively affordable stay in Downtown Chicago

Location was great. Stores, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Definitely would stay there again.

The location was great.

I wasn’t able to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. When I arrived from the airport, tired and looking forward to my room, a drink & dinner I was told they had No Reservation for me, that HOTELS.com had canceled it. And to make matters worse they were totally booked. Every hotel in the area was booked. 3 hours later with the help of other folks in the hotel bar, I was able to get a room. Not my ideal location and 3 times as much as I wanted to spend but you do what you must when you’re desperate. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS OR SAY A GOOD THING ABOUT HOTELS.com THATS HOW MY STAY STARTED…

Great location. Easily accessible to public transport and most tourist activities were walkable. Our only complaint is the lack of lighting in the room. If you don’t open the window shade the room is a little dark.

Quiet,clean

Clean and well located. Our only issue was with the service at the front desk. The two interactions we had (at check-in & just for a question afterwards) lack of friendliness and border rudeness.

Couldnt find a better location than this. We found being next to a major subway connection, the Riverwalk, MagMile and Millennium Park gave us plenty to do. Our room was clean and updated. Bed and bedding were super cozy. The street noise is pretty loud, but that is expected for downtown. The breakfast in the hotel is pretty bad. The sausage tasted like microwaved sawdust, everything was rubbery, the coffee was subpar. Thankfully, there are a ton of options around. Service from the staff was kind and prompt.

Location The greatest thing about this hotel was the location - it was central to Michigan Ave, the Riverwalk, Navy Pier, and all of the notable parks and sites (Millineum Park, "The Bean", Maggie Daley Park, Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain). All are well within close proximity and walking distance!

Location is excellent and so many things were within walking distance - we loved that! Property is nice; although we had a room in the front and there are a lot of sirens at night. Maybe a room in the back would be quieter. The hotel does have a bar and restaurant. We did not use the bar; had breakfast at the restaurant. Service was quite slow. Food was Okay.

This hotel is in a nice location for a quick weekend trip - it’s on the Riverwalk and Michigan Avenue, which were the two areas that I accessed during my time there. It was clean, quiet (as much as it can be in the middle of a busy city area), and our room had everything we needed. I like when hotels provide pump bottle shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion - this one provides all!

This property was clean and modern. It’s minutes away from the Chicago Riverwalk, Michigan Avenue, and Millennium Park. Staff were friendly and even gave me suggestions on where to go during my visit.

This is what hospitality should be, every time. My wife and I met at this hotel and returned on our wedding night. The staff remembered us and made such a big deal about our big day and that we’d chosen to return to celebrate where it all began. They went above and beyond the first time, and last night they made that service week dull and unremarkable. 100% recommend this property

Location was great! It was within walking distance of all major attractions and the train system. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was efficient and polite. Our biggest complaimt is the street noise. We were on the 15th floor but could hear the street noise day and night so if you are a light-sleeper, I would not recommend this hotel. Fortunately, the noise was not that big of a deal for us.

Great location

I like that there’s only a few rooms on each floor with no long hallways. The super friendly staff checked on us periodically to see if we needed anything. Very convenient and within walking distance to almost everything. Looking forward to my next visit.

They were under construction and I wasn’t notified about that ahead of time. Our room keycard didn’t work the second day so we had to go back to the front desk and have her reprogram it. She didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or anything. The valet parking was super slow with communicating and getting our car back to us.

The area is noisy as its close to the downtown. Too many vehicles , and chicago people driving honk a lot. So if that impacts your sleep then avoid this

Great location.

My minifridge was broken but they replaced it, promptly. Could not change the temp of the room. Front desk said they had no record of my complaints after multiple calls then said i can come down in the middle of the night for a blanket. I declined and just dealt with it. Granted it was summer but i had an elderly person witn me with medical issues.

The elevators are terrible. We used the stairs nearly the entire trip. The location of the property is great, and the room is tolerable.

Close to many things. Staff was great. They took our luggage early while we walked the town. They also held our luggage before our train departed. It was VERY beneficial. I would stay here again.

The room was very small. The room next to us was so loud in the middle of the night, we called the desk and they weren’t very helpful.

There were loud protests/strikers in front of the hotel early every morning during our stay. Instead of trying to move us to a higher room or one on the other side of the building, staff just indicated they knew nothing about the protests.

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. The bed was on the firm side — not uncomfortable, plenty of pillows. Basic amenities like a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were appreciated. Elevators were odd; a lot of time was spent waiting for them. Staff interactions were fine; some were friendly and helpful, others seemed indifferent. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Overall, if you’re looking for a no-frills, centrally located place to crash while you’re out and about in Chicago, this hotel does the job. The location is perfect.

Very n9ce and clean hotel well definitely book again

Great location. We didn't see hotel so I called. Girl was great staying on ph with me to get us there. Friendly front staff. Valet parking charges to your room, just fyi. When we were going out to breakfast, I asked a maid for 2 more towels & kleenex; I said to her, you don't need to clean/make bed. Came back & everything was cleaned & we got what we needed too. The Yolk is walking distance & a must for breakfast. Awesome food & service! 7 Eleven across street from Hilton so handy. Recommend this Hilton.

The property is in a great location with a very easy check-in process, which made our arrival smooth. However, the rooms felt quite tight and small, and the bathroom shower had low water pressure, A few improvements there would make the stay much better.

I stayed in one of the refurbished rooms (full width shower). The rooms are nice and big rooms, very clean and in a fantastic location. Downsides are that there isn’t a full length mirror, the safe was broken, towels too small for an average size woman and finally, the bed sheets were too small for the bed which was rather annoying when the sheets would constantly pop off.

The hotel was located in a walkable area near activities that I wanted to do.

Location is amazing. Room was clean but the bed was a little creaky (noisy) on one side so maybe it was older? HVAC unit was a little on the noisy side. But room was very clean and appointed well. Might be nice to have some tea options in addition to coffee.

Bed was very noisy, it banged against the headboard every time I moved. This detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay and excellent facility.

The location is amazing. It was a bit noisy but that is to be expected when you're right downtown. The room was small, and there were no mirrors outside of the bathroom. It was very clean. The front desk staff were kind and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay!

Very nice, helpful and respectful employees. Great location for a leisure trip. Close to the L, shopping, dining and millennium park. Of course the riverwalk as well. The hotel was very clean. Water pressure in the shower was a little weak for me if you’re one of those people but definitely not a deal breaker. I would for sure stay here again!

The amenities werent spelled out well with no real help from the front desk. The cafe i ended up leaving because the person working kept walking by me and never took my order. Plus, menu options and prices need to be clearly posted- there were none

This was a great stay. Quick 1 day trip to Chicago and this hotel was a steal for the price. Great location. I drove so I had to park one block over, which wasn’t an issue at all. Would 100% recommend this place to anybody coming to Chicago.

Over priced with not enough amenities. No mini fridge, no microwave, room lighting was horrible, when you take a shower too much water gets on the floor, no problem with the staff. The overall space of the place was just too compact from the lobby to the elevator to the hall way to even getting in your room good everything was just too tight. Only gave us one robe when it was 2 guest the leg was broken for the desk that was in the room which it fell and landed on my girlfriend’s foot. Not to mention as a refreshing beverage they chose cheap sparkling water. Breakfast was tasteless place was clean and staff was nice but that building itself horrible I will never be back

Very kind staff. Close to millenium park. We walked or took the bus from nearby bus station everywhere easily. We didn’t bring a car so didn’t have to pay for the $70/day parking which made it affordable hotel. Bed and pillows were fine. I loved the big refillable shampoo and soap dispensers attached to shower wall so we didn’t have to worry about the tiny .5 oz running out during our stay and better for the environment kit throwing away little plastic bottles

This hotel has a perfect location and it's really close to public transportation options. Our room was spacious, with lot of drawers and a closet with several hangers. The view is great as well. Room controlled temperature was great during the very cold days we stayed, including in the bathroom. We didn't use the breakfast service, but the restaurant area looked beautiful and clean. The luggage storage service was great, we really appreciated it.

The bed was super firm and hard to sleep on, toilet ran every 20 minutes like clockwork through the night, construction crews seem to have begun at 6am hammering and working on other floors. Not the best experience.

Very good hotel. I think my room was recently refurbished, so everything was very clean and new. The elevator was pretty fast, so that was nice. Staff were really nice.

The property is under renovation that we were not aware of. There is no bathroom in the lobby, which is inconvenient. The bar management is terrible. The person works at the bar cannot not mix drinks, but they charged full amount even we told them the drain was not right. The breakfast area has no windows, absolutely terrible. if a property is under renovation, we should know this before we make reservation.

Hotel was decent. It was a great price, which makes sense why it wasn’t the best. Overall, it was still nice. But disappointed with the lack of pool/hot tub. They were out of a couple items we had requested, and the shower wasn’t that warm. The views were excellent from the top floor!! It was still good for the value

Hotel was under construction so there were some minor inconveniences like no ice machine. Staff was great and got us in early. Room was comfortable but missing full-length mirror (big pet peeve). Also the bed frames are at that height where you always bump your shin. Elevators are very slow. But good bed, clean, modern.

We were woken up the first night from the room being stuffy and hot then the 3rd a party going on next door plus the sound from the hallway comes in like there isn’t a door there and every door slams loudly so if your going to Chicago and want a good night sleep I don’t suggest this location. I will add the staff was very polite and helpful I do appreciate that aspect of my stay

One should also note that there are several Hilton Garden Inns in the Riverwalk area, and they are unconnected. This was confusing for us when booking our trip.

The bed was uncomfortable. The front desk was not clear about breakfast. She made it seem like it was included with the room. Valet was slow and almost more expensive than the room. The HVAC unit in our room was not functioning properly.

The location was excellent. It was directly in front of many restaurants (Morton’s, Perilla Steakhouse), and there were coffee shops and food places just a few blocks away. There was also a clean 7-Eleven across the street, which I felt safe to go to for basic supplies like water (We went around 8 AM and 8 PM). We were able to walk to many of the attractions in the area, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and other museums, within about 10ish minutes. We also walked to Union Station, which we got to in about 20-25 minutes at a comfortable pace. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient.

I enjoyed my stay here for my solo birthday trip. It was walking distance from everything. Including the train rides to and from the airport. HOWEVER, there were protesters in the front of the building at midnight and didn’t leave until 3am one night. Cops came to clear the scene a few times due to loud disturbances complaints. Will i be back?? yes because the staff somewhat handled it well by giving me 1 day partial refund despite the two out of three day disturbance.

The hotel staff was really nice and welcoming. They did their best to help with any issues. Check in was very smooth and so was check out. I look forward to visiting them again.

We had to move rooms because our original room wasn’t cleaned. When we changed to our new room, it was also dirty.

Affordable for the service and location!

Staff was so accommodating. They allowed us to check in early. And on the day we checked out our flights didn’t leave until the evening so they held on to our bags so we didn’t have to drag them along with us while checking out more of the city! Definitely would stay here again!!

Additionally, one of the elevators was not working, and the only operational elevator caused long delays. This resulted in me being late to my event, further adding to my frustration and disappointment with the overall experience. This experience fell far below the standard I expect from Hilton hotels, and I was deeply disappointed.
