Reviews
The hotel's location is consistently praised, being close to shopping, restaurants, and downtown Chicago. However, guests frequently express dissatisfaction with various aspects of the rooms, including size, temperature control, and noise levels.
- Excellent location in the heart of Chicago
- Friendly and helpful staff, particularly at the front desk
- Rooms are often smaller than expected and may have temperature control issues
- Noise levels can be high due to thin walls and loud neighbors

Lots of things to do

Rooms were dated, the AC ran extremely loud all night and comforter looked extremely worn

Great location and spacious room!!

A sweatshirt was accidentally left in our room. Upon gets home the evening of checking out we noticed. The housekeeping staff isn’t honest…so it wasn't ‘found’. It was 100% left in the hotel room, so a worker stole it. Very disappointing for a Hilton brand establishment.

Highly recommend staying here. Clean. Friendly staff. Room was very nice and spacious. Close to red line train, restaurants and shopping. I will be staying here again!
- 5/5
The room was very clean, the staff was super helpful, and location was excellent. Our room a/c was broken and the tub stopper didn’t work, but would definitely book again
- 4/5
Location was great for being in the city and an easy walk along the river. Well-lit areas that are bustling and accessible stores nearby if you forget anything at home to access. Room was comfortable and price was fair. There was a roach crawling around in the lobby.... If parking in garage next to hotel, make sure to pre-pay for the parking in advanced, whether through hotel or third party or else it will be $40 for the first hour and only goes up from there.

Clean, the front desk will text you and you can text back if you need anything ( towels, toilet paper, etc), the cleaners bring the towels up asap and the front desk responds fast. Loved that! That they clean the rooms and make the beds up every other day instead of everyday. The waters are $7+ at the hotel snack shop. Go to the mini mart literally next block over.

- 4/5
Very well located. excellent connections to buses, trains as well as cabs. lot of places to eat nearby. Availability of grocery stores like Target and Trader Joes for ready to eat food, small grocery items etc. Room was decent sized, although a bit cramped for four. No breakfast available. Room allocated to us was next to exit so a little noisy. Only three sets of towels were available although the booking was for four people. The staff was courteous enough to provide extra towels on demand though.

They had rooms available early in the morning. They charge me $35 to check in early when I am a Hilton reward member.
- 4/5
Front desk was excellent. I appreciated that they would text daily asking how was the stay so far and I could communicate with them through text. I also liked that you can digitally tip the employees as o rarely carry cash nowadays. My only gripe is that the bathtub was quite low and this caused shower water to leak out from the ends of the shower curtain. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again. Shoutout to Michael for his great customer service.
- 2/5
When I made the online reservation the picture showed 2 beds in a separate area than a sofa & tv. That's not what I got when I opened the door to my room. There was only 1 room with the 2 beds & a desk & 1 chair. 4 people in the room had to fight over who got to sit in 1 chair!! Not happy & when I went to the front desk about the issue I was told they don't have suites at that location. Then why was I shown that during my reservation process, making me think that's what the room would look like? Also asked for an additional chair & was told only 1 chair was given per room. That also made me unhappy. Housekeeping was only going to come every other day. I made it known I expected it daily. The lounge area in the lobby has old furniture that needed to be replaced & updated. Staples were coming thru the ottomans & cutting legs.

- 5/5
Good price for the area and super convenient to step out the door and hop directly onto the Red Line. Room was clean and seemed to be recently renovated. Concierge was super accommodating even though I didn't check in until 11:30pm. If you park on-site it's pretty pricey, but there are several garages nearby that are a better value if you don't mind a short walk.
- 2/5
The room was spacious including the shower and bathroom. Looked over the city. The store downstairs was nice. We found an adult toy under our bed, which was really disturbing. I also was given a handicap accessible room and hit my arm on the poorly placed towel rod on the door to the point I had a giant welt and bruise on my arm. I also at some point needed an extra key to the room because my boyfriend had the other one. The front desk staff asked for my husband’s ID (can we see Mr. Ryan’s ID?) when I was the one who made the reservation. I also found the bed to be way too short and uncomfortable. The sheets would not stay on the mattress for the life of me and there wasn’t a mattress cover, just a fitted sheet and nothing else. It just was not worth the price at all.

I loved the location of the facility The break down of the costs were not accurate, they were very unpleasant upon arrival, I let them know that I would be arriving before check in and was told that was fine and there was no fee as long as the room is available but that was not at all true. Had to pay 75 dollars to check in early. The security deposit says it is 100 dollars but it is in fact 100/night. Also after checking out I was told that I will not get my full deposit back because it is taxed. First I have ever heard that. To top it all off, they are still taking money from my card with no explanation as to why.

I like it had a refrigerator and microwave. The window opens up on the 13th floor room 1331 with not screen. I had my kids with me and only found out because my son was leaning on the window and it opened a little. There was a woman at the front desk who was not friendly at all. The room shower was not clean. I just cleaned it myself. The pool is so tiny with no hot tub.

The Hilton Garden Inn is in a convenient location that staying here is a no brainer. It’s no wonder why it’s so popular and busy on weekends. Thus, I would hope the front lobby staff should be more enthusiastic with customers. The gal who checked us in seemed a bit lethargic and robotic. Show a smile or two. Be happy to work there!
- 5/5
That I thought the parking was included
- 4/5
We only stayed for 2 nights but it was all comfortable. The location is perfect as it is a walkable distance from all the major sights of the city. There is also a subway stop right in front of the hotel (Red Line). We were four but the space was so much that basically 2 more people could have fitted on the floor. The bathroom was all clean and full with free amenities. There was also a coffee machine with some complimentary coffee. The hotel offers a 24/7 gym and a pool. It was great! Not the hotel's fault, but we planned our return back to Saint Louis via train and wanted to take the 151 bus to Union Station. Not only the one we were waiting for ended up being early missing it, but the following bus was late and we ended up running like crazy to the train station. If you need to take the bus, look on Google Maps for the arrival time and any updates.
- 4/5
Very close to a lot of things. Didn’t like the 100 a day hold. That’s a big deposit especially when it doesn’t say on hotel website.

Easy check-in and a great downtown location with easy access to major attractions. The washroom door lock needs to be checked as it was not functioning properly. Location Nasty bathroom backed up shower and sink !!! Shower did not drain sink didn’t not drain - distrusting and unsanitary! Clearly housekeeping is short staffed and the owner of this hotel should be fined and shut down. Disgraceful situation to think it is ok for people to stay in this hotel knowing plumbing is bad.

Bed was horribly uncomfortable. Pillows were flat.. requested more pillows..never received them. An unexplained grinding noise was persistent throughout the stay. Staff was unhelpful and rude. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton again. Worst 550$ I have ever spent.

If you arrive a little early expect a $35 fee. No other hotel DT Chicago charged me that. They all waived the fee. Other than that I really like this hotel. Great location!!! Red line, Weber Grill, Pizzeria Uno, etc are right there.
- 5/5
We have stayed here a few times and always enjoy it. This time was great too. Beds are comfy, usually quiet (bit of a ruckus outside our room but security handled it), Weber Grill has great food and drinks. Always friendly staff. Bummed they no longer have valet parking but self park was fine. Pricey but no different than other downtown hotels. Convenient location. Really a great hotel. Thanks, again.

Beds were like sleeping on plywood and the pool is small. However, great location.
- 2/5
This property lacked cleanliness. The rugs in the rooms were nasty. I don’t know if they have ever cleaned them. They only do housekeeping every other day, and if you ask them to clean it on a day it isn’t scheduled. They give you resonses, in a nice way that it’s not your day. You have to be to the point if you want it done regularly. They also don’t give you new towels on your off day, unless you ask. Clean up on your day consist of fresh towels, bed made, change the trash will try and tell you when you last had house keeping. There is a $70 parking fee if you decide to rent a car. That wouldn’t have been an issue if we were told that there was a charge to park when we asked about parking. We were just told that they do have parking. Also if you park it has to be for the whole time tha you are there, which we weren’t told that as welll. If you park without the hotel validating your parking, it could be more expensive. in the beginning, but no one told us that, and we asked It is not the hotel’s garage.

However the are big issues with the noise levels inside the hotel and we had a very bad experience with Guests a couple of doors down from a our room that started to shout and fight during the night and the staff / security didn’t address that. Several rooms call the lobby to deal with the situation but the hotel didn’t resolve it or call police. It was pretty scary that at 2 am in the morning. This happens in a hotel. response from the hotel staff
- 1/5
Get in the room, pull the covers down and a Crunchy Cheeto flies out of the sheets. There was probably 20 or more between the mattress and the wood side board. Leave the next day and about 12am get a text for 6$. Called immediately and was told the housekeeper put down we drank the water in the room. WE DID NOT. I’m not paying 3$ for an off brand in a tiny bottle. Was told I had to call back and speak to a manager. So be careful you aren’t getting extra charges!!

Staff is amazing. Pool is tiny and filled with children if it’s not like dawn. And then the heaters make a crazy amount of noise.

For what we paid and the location I had high hopes for this inn but my expectations fell flat horribly. From the check in with Fatima to the room cleanliness, all left much to be desired. Fatima was clearly not in the mood to be of any more assistance than she was. She was not welcoming in the least and clearly didn’t want to be bothered doing anything but inputting my i formation and getting me out of her face as quickly as possible. We get to our floor and it smelled of complete garbage. We then make it to our room, all dusty, bed was uncomfortable, refrigerator was not cold. They did send maintenance up I cannot recall his name but he was the best part of the experience at this inn. I am quite disappointed to have that kind of experience with any hotel/inn attached to the Hilton name. We won’t be back and will not suggest anyone else to utilize this location either.

The Cons: Service: We were placed in a noisy room by the ice machine. After requesting a move, we waited 20 minutes for an update that never came. When I followed up, the staff seemed more concerned with whether we had touched the room than actually helping us move, citing that they were "too busy" to assist.Eventually, I had to give up on the move entirely. To top it off, the hotel showed zero flexibility on checkout, quoting a $75 fee just to stay until 1:00 PM. Don't expect much in the way of hospitality or quality dining. Dining: Very disappointing. The meatloaf was soft and mushy, and the cornbread was clearly not fresh. The cornbread was not hot enough to melt the butter. The waiter rushed the service as they were nearing closing time. Policies: Very rigid. A simple 1:00 PM late checkout request was met with a $75 surcharge.

I like the elevator security feature where you have to show to a fob reader your room key before you can use the elevator to the floor where your room is. Be sure to request to your taxi and Uber drivers to drive inside the drive circle to pick you up and to not stop just out in the street because it will be hard for you to flag down the car and enter it due to the heavy traffic on the street. The hotel was very good and I recommend it.
- 4/5
We stayed just one night. The accomodations are clean and the property is relatively up-to-date. It's in a great location. The restaurant was convenient. We had the breakfast which was reasonable, but not great.
- 4/5
Washroom door was not getting locked, apart from that everything was good.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
Overall was a very great stay. I only wish there was a small breakfast to maybe grab something small for on the go people like myself.
- 5/5
really good stay! literally right next to the redline outside their doors and you can easily walk anywhere soooo easy. the only problem i had was their water fountain was very slow and tasted kinda weird lol
- 4/5
Right off the train in the center of every thing. Rooms were great and staff were great. Charging for water was pretty tacky and the noise from outside was pretty loud but overall I was happy with my stay and would stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Great location! Room was clean, staff nice, loved the view from our window on the 20th floor!
- 5/5
Room was clean.. staff was great.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, accommodating, convenient downtown location
- 3/5
Hotel is in a good location right next to Grand station red line stop so easy to get to from the airport. Also good location for a 5minute walk to reach the Magnificent Mile. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Couple of let downs were that we were on the 15th floor, but was still able to hear a lot of street noise from the room with the windows closed. Maid service was only every other day and even then beds weren’t fully made, it seemed there only came to change towels and empty bins and they didn’t ever leave any extra toilet paper so we had to go to reception to get it.
- 5/5
Gorgeous room and all the facilities. Just loved it.
- 3/5
The first day I was there was great. The front desk girl was very pleasant. The room was nice but I wanted a room with a tub. It was my last 4 nights that my issues came up. I had a front desk guy who was unpleasant. He did a few things I did not appreciate. If I dealt with the girl I did on the first night I would have been fine. This hotel charges a $100 a night incidental fee which is ridiculous. I live in New York and we don’t even do that!?!?
- 4/5
It was very pleasant. Staff seemed friendly and helpful The snack bar was super expensive
- 5/5
Excellent location and quality for the price!
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous when I checked in. They detailed the many wonderful services available at the hotel.
- 5/5
Clean hotel nice staff. Location was great, however know that the hotel is not on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue) it is a couple of blocks away but still a good location!
- 5/5
Beautiful room & they gave me a view
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, awesome view and great bar!
- 3/5
Room had a great view. The location was convenient to walk to the Magnificent Mile, amazing restaurants, and other popular attractions. The lighting was inadequate at night. Took two requests to get another roll of toilet paper. The lobby had an overwhelming fragrance at all times. Many guests have allergies or migraines and are sensitive to smells. The only thing they should smell is a fresh clean smell or a neutral scent.
- 3/5
I liked both the rooms I had. I liked the one with the bathtub a bit more. The hotel clerk woman who checked me in yesterday was pleasant. The front desk guy who did my 2nd check was unpleasant. I asked to charge my phone in my old room. I was up there for less than 10 minutes and he sent security to ask me to leave because they needed to clean. It’s after 5:00 pm. Hotel housekeeping are gone. I’m black and it felt racially motivated. I would give a 7
- 5/5
It was but the toilet wasn’t clean
- 3/5
It was okay

.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, great location!
- 5/5
Beautiful room, lovely staff
- 2/5
I was surprised at our experience because most of my stays at Hiltons have been incredible. Unfortunately, both beds in the room had a lot of hair (I do mean a lot, we ended up lint rolling the entire bed) in the sheets and on the pillows. The sink in the room wasn't really draining well and would fill up during use. I usually don't ask to switch rooms because the next one could be worse. At check out, I wasn't asked how my stay was or anything. It was in a great location, with parking (at a cost) on site and restaurant on site, but I couldn't get past the cleanliness and I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Helpful staff
- 5/5
Clean rooms, helpful staff, convenient location, snacks in lobby and on site parking
- 5/5
Nice clean place.
- 5/5
Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the beds were so comfortable! Great location for exploring the Magnificent Mile on foot.
- 5/5
Everyone was great
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
Staff…. Room great…. Even upgraded from single beds to two queen beds, which was very nice. Temperature settings for heat in the room worked so well. Everything went perfect from check in to check out. Well worth the price hotel.com charged.
- 5/5
Amazing clean nice employee
- 5/5
The room and service were very good, clean rooms. Would recommend and come back when I’m in the Windy City
- 3/5
Staff was nice but our headboard was a bit dirty. Also prepare to pay a decent amount for parking.
- 5/5
Excellent stay
- 5/5
Super clean and great location
- 5/5
Conveniently located in downtown, walking distance from
- 4/5
I called the front desk on the second night and found out that the rooms are only cleaned once every two days! I hope we can let the guests know sooner, thank you.

Great staff, great room, and close to everything
- 5/5
Spacious room, hotel is close to everything

- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Our room was located at the end of a hall and was very quiet (minus the noise of downtown Chicago which we were totally expecting).
- 5/5
Nice location
- 3/5
The location was great, and having a grocery store nearby was very convenient.
- 5/5
Great location and great hotel. Only issue is housekeeping wouldn’t clean room upon request only every other day.
- 4/5
Nice size room. Odd location required us to go up a flight of steps to get anywhere. Missed having all day coffee or spa water. Would not stay here again
- 5/5
In and out, no issues.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Clean rooms.
- 4/5
Room was very clean. Shower was hot and powerful.

All things about this hotel was good from the location to the staff
- 5/5
Great room, great view. Staff was great.
- 5/5
All very nice super easy to walk everywhere safely to shopping food etc
- 5/5
Super clean- everywhere inside even smelled nice. Great beds, tv, and amenities- the indoor pool was small, but pristine. Courteous staff. I really have no complaints, we had a wonderful time.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Very clean, love tge location central to the city took the el from midway
- 4/5
The location was by a lot of good restaurants and shops. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice.
- 4/5
But otherwise it was a nice hotel and we would stay there again.
- 2/5
Charged extra $35 for 1-hour early check-in convenience. It is juts mean! Not the way to treat guests. Won't go back there again.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Staff was vary helpful
- 5/5
Room was spotless.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was friendly, pool was good for kids and wasn’t that busy, great location, beds were comfy. Overall a great stay for the price and location.
- 5/5
Room was clean but a little small, beds were comfy, kids enjoyed the pool which was small but never busy, service was good, and location was in a great spot as well as the price point.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
We were able to get the top floor room so we were excited for that. Everything was wonderful and clean.
- 5/5
Great stay. Perfect stay but needs cheaper parking.
- 5/5
Friendly place very clean staff made sure was comfortable on my birthday no complaints
- 5/5
Perfect for a quick getaway weekend
- 5/5
Good location
- 4/5
The room was fine and the staff was polite. Why didn't you give me the $100 deposit?
- 5/5
The room was Awesome, and the staff were very nice.
- 5/5
The room is spacious, quite, and clean.
- 5/5
Hotel was very convenient in that a lot of places (attractions) were within walking distance..the casino (if that’s your thing ) was literally right behind the hotel on the next block. Many many dining options in the area aswell. Room really clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Nice room, easy check in, decent fitness room, and the hotel was kind to hold my luggage the afternoon after I checked out.
- 5/5
Room was clean, nice view. The staff are nice, was so nice to come back to the room and it was clean again, we were well taken care of. The location and the pool are the best parts of staying here, this was our second time and we will absolutely return next time we travel to Chicago.
- 5/5
Took the kids for Christmas, the staff were wonderful. The view was fantastic. The down pillows were phenomenal and I will be buying some, very comfortable sleep.
- 5/5
Helpful front desk
- 5/5
Fun!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was awesome and helpful.
- 5/5
Yes.
- 5/5
The best part of this page it is it right on the metro station, ultra convenient
- 4/5
Great location and nice updated room
- 2/5
Bedding smelled really bad and when I asked the front desk to have it changed they said that housekeeping only comes every other day. There were dried boogers on the shower walls and the body wash container was empty. Staff was rude and seemed bothered when I brought up my concerns.
- 4/5
Average Hilton hotel - reliable and clean. Great location!
- 4/5
Yes everything was good
- 5/5
Service was great, room was great. I definitely would recommend.
- 5/5
Great View. Nice Warm a nd Quite Swimming Pool. Weber Grill Steakhouse in the Building. Reasonable on site Parking with Spot Hero.
- 5/5
Amazing staff and perfect location
- 4/5
Overall, a very nice stay and a great location.
- 4/5
I wanted to bring a few concerns to your attention regarding my recent stay: • The faucets in the room are loose and may need tightening or repair. • The bathroom door does not close completely, which affects privacy. • The edges of the bed frame are quite sharp and pose a tripping hazard. • I requested Kleenex from room service, but it wasn’t delivered until the following day. I hope these issues can be addressed promptly to improve the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention to these matters. Best regards,
- 5/5

- 5/5
Convenient and clean
- 5/5
Clean room, nice lobby, and amazing lounge area. I will definitely come back!
- 5/5
The room was amazing!
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous. But room needs better pillows and beddings.
- 2/5
Staff lacked customer service training. More than once replies were rude, or they were simply not knowledgeable. Example: I had to check-out at 3am to catch my flight back home. Front desk attendant told me I couldn't be checked out until 11am the next day. I had to explain to the Hilton staff that that doesnt mean I cant check-out. They calmly took my advice and confirmed they understood. Customers should not have to train Hilton employees on such matters.
- 3/5
The only issues we had was the heating of the room as it wouldn’t get warm
- 2/5
The heater in room 1624 made a loud noise every time it turned off. When we complained about loud music, the guy at the front desk said that it was okay because it was daytime. Finally, our traveling partners were accidentally assigned a handicapped room. However, the front desk guys would not believe them until they personally checked out the room. We are return visitors, but this was not a good experience.
- 5/5
This is a very nice hotel! The location is perfect. The rooms were clean and the staff was very polite and professional.
- 5/5
Easy check in
- 3/5
Can you sleep through incessant fire truck sirens and car honking? If so this place would be fine but walls were thin and we could hear everything, including the rooms next door and people in the hallway. Not for light sleepers. Great location though.
- 5/5
The staff as very nice and the rooms were clean and up to par.
- 5/5
View clean room and front desk staff

- 5/5

- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The internet was reliable, clean, TV was easy use and able to unwind with my streaming. Pool was great, sadly didn’t give myself energy time on this business trip for gym. Lobby is best in Chicago with so many charging spots while I wait for my ride. Even room was modern minded and had charging spots on both sides of bed
- 5/5
Clean room, very friendly staff and great location
- 5/5
Rooms very clean, staff friendly and good customer service
- 4/5
Good location. Weak water pressure.
- 5/5
Clean peaceful and easy walking distance to almost everything

Cleanliness, location
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Staff were amazing.
- 2/5
The thermostat is one of the oldest devices in existence, and it was never possible to regulate the temperature in the room. We stayed there during the winter, and one day there was a snowstorm. Even though we selected the heating temperature, the air coming out was freezing. The windows are not sealed, so all the cold from outside seeps into the room, and the noise from outside can be heard even with the window closed (it literally felt like the window was open). The room cleaning was very poor. There was hair in the sinks and even on the bathroom ceiling when we checked in. In addition, housekeeping was not performed daily. We had to request it at the front desk several times, and even then, they never came. Furthermore, the room was supposed to include two courtesy bottles of water per day, but after the first night, they were never restocked. We had to ask for them at the front desk, only to find out that we were charged for them after checkout. In general, the hotel staff is not very helpful or service-oriented. There is no one to help you carry your bags to your room, and the hotel entrance doors malfunctioned and were sometimes out of order. It is not even a cheap hotel, so for those rates, there are countless options that are surely much better.
- 2/5
The hotel room was dirty- there was a lot of someone else's hair in the shower and bottle caps next to the bed. We asked to have the bathroom cleaned and the guy just wiped it down quickly, he didn't even get all of the hair out of the shower. It was disgusting.
- 5/5
This was my second time staying and I have no complaints.
- 4/5
Clean room. Convenient location
- 5/5
Convenient location near many restaurants, shopping, etc. There is a CTA stop practically out the front door.
- 5/5
Great location and very comfortable.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Great location. Staff were very helpful. Walls did seem a little thin. Could hear noise from other rooms and sirens outside.
- 5/5
Helped out with any questions we had. Hotel is walking distance from everything!
- 2/5
The hotel is in good vicinity from magnificent mile but I couldn’t sleep because of the ambulance and fire truck sirens. It’s was way too loud and so frequently. I am not sure if there is hospital nearby.
- 5/5
Loved this hotel! The location is perfect, the facilities are modern and super clean, and the pool was a major highlight. The staff was incredibly friendly and made everything feel easy and welcoming. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Everything was great.

Was a great place to stay downtown Chicago convenient to a lot of locations would stay again.
- 5/5
Great location, room was great
- 4/5
Room was clean.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed my stay. Clean, quiet room. Central location.
- 5/5
Very easy check in process
- 5/5
The location is great, in the middle of everything.
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
It is affordable and very good place in the center of the magnificent mile. 100% recomendable for families. The hotel doesn't have breakfast.
- 4/5
We did not eat the breakfast, it was too expensive.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
The room was in good condition. The man the did the check in Sunday afternoon was impolite and unhelpful, but the young man that handled check out was more pleasant and didn't seemed bothered when i asked a question. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable
- 5/5
Place was well managed. Staff was friendly and I saw they greeted everyone including myself. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
- 3/5
The room wasn’t what we’re use to but it wasn’t bad, staff was accommodating overall it was ok.
- 5/5
It’s within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to see and was easy to get in and out of and staff was helpful!
- 5/5
Room was great, staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
The folks at the desk were nice and helpful. It was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in.
- 5/5
Very nice, staff was courteous
- 5/5
Staff were wonderful and room was great!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay there for my daughter’s birthday. Thought the location was great and easy to walk everywhere!
- 4/5
The room was not cleaned on day 2, and coffee was not replaced. The coffee maker did not work very well. Different topic…my room was across from the stairwell and there were loud sounds coming from the stairwell throughout the first night - almost like construction noises.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
The staff was very professional and helpful
- 3/5
The hotel was nice, clean, housekeeping was very friendly and helpful, good location, beautiful city view. The restaurant was delicious! My only complaint is parking. The hotel does not have their own parking so we were out 60 dollars a day for parking which is outrageous and we weren’t even made aware of that until we tried to leave later on. We ended up spending over 200 dollars in parking in just a few days. I guess that’s how it goes in a big city though but I would have been nice to have known that ahead of time.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, spacious and clean room. Recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Just think of the word "everything" and you get it.
- 5/5
Location is perfect
- 5/5
Great location.
- 3/5
Housekeeping didn't come every other day as promised. I called the front desk to request housekeeping. When they came to the door, they asked me how much I wanted the room cleaned. Obviously, I wanted the whole room cleaned? I'm not sure why that was a question. Also, overall the room was quite dusty.
- 3/5
Didnt have breakfast. Rooms are kind of old and dark. Great location. Staff is awesome. Overall good experience
- 5/5
So close to everything. Felt very safe walking to areas at night.
- 5/5
Great spot close to everything and very clean
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and quick with check in
- 5/5
Clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Breakfast facilities are a restaurant attached. Did not use them.
- 5/5
This location is in a great area. Staff were amazing and they allowed us to keep our luggage at the location prior to and after checking out.
- 5/5
This hotel was an excellent choice. It was clean, staff was friendly and it is walkable distance to so many attractions and shopping. It was the perfect home base for our trip. The subway stop is directly outside the hotel doors- could not have been easier to get around. Would recommend staying here and we will stay again when we return.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, very comfortable room
- 3/5
Room was loud noise from outside
- 4/5
Great location downtown right off the Red Line. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Great, friendly and accommodating staff. Recommend
- 4/5
It’s pretty much a self-service kind of place but there is a subway stop right next to the building.
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
Clean and comfy room.
- 4/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Great location for Michigan Avenue exploring.
- 5/5
The location, the staff and the restaurant/bar made our stay so enjoyable. HUGE shout out to the WEBER GRILLE employees! The bartenders and managers went out of their way to accommodate large crowds that came and went during the New Zealand vs Ireland Rugby weekend. WE kept going back to the WEBER GRILLE for their food and the atmosphere. Thank you!
- 4/5
Rooms are clean, we were first assigned in a room next to the elevator. It was noisy at night so we requested to be transfered to a different room. We were transfered right away.
- 4/5
A great option in River North with spacious rooms and an excellent surrounding neighborhood.
- 5/5
Room was great and staff was nice
- 5/5
Clean room, great location.
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Room was clean. Decent restaurant on site, Weber Grill. I loved the location. Right next to Nordstrom and Michigan Ave. with lots of shopping options.
- 3/5
The guy at the front desk was not nice at all. I asked for a late check out and the housekeeping crew came knocking at my door at 8am,then 9am and 10am. I got mad and just left. I expected to communicate with each other after the second time but they kept interrupting my meeting.
- 4/5
It was all we needed for a city stay
- 5/5
The staff was friendly, the location was very convenient and the train was across the street.
- 5/5
Staff were courteous and room was clean. Location was close to the river and river walk. Weber grill connected to the hotel was a good place to hang out each evening with tasty and reasonable food options.
- 3/5
Yes
- 4/5
AC did keep the room cool.. insulation could be thicker. The sirens outside were so loud, it sounded like the windows were open. We actually checked, and they weren’t, Same issue with the ice maker directly across the hall.
- 5/5
We stayed here last Saturday, November 1st. Upon check-in, the staff wasn’t very accommodating, which made our first impression a bit disappointing. However, we appreciated that we were transferred to a higher floor — that was a nice gesture. The room itself was decent, but we noticed there weren’t enough tissue papers or napkins provided in the bathroom. Overall, our experience was okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of hospitality and attention to detail.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff
- 5/5
Everything was very nice. However, parking was $64 US, which was just over $90 CAN for 1 day. Seems a little much.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was very accommodating.
- 1/5
Rooms need to be updated and it smell like smoke
- 5/5
Easy to get around. Lively area and no need for a car to get around.
- 2/5
The hotel is what you expect from a 3-star hotel. However, getting your airpods stolen from the room and staff denying it even though findmy located it exactly in the hotel is a little turnoff
- 5/5
The room was clean, staff were great, and nice location within walking distance to many attractions.
- 5/5
Staff is very pleasant ans friendly. Our room was on the top floor and a view that was breathtaking.
- 5/5
I love how this hotel is right above the Red line subway that connects to anywhere in Chicago! It was so nice especially with the rain to just walk out and be able to hop on a subway immediately.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
The hotel is in the perfect location. Walkable to Riverwalk, shops and restaurants. The pool is nice but isn’t the most friendly. Requires climbing in and out on a ladder with footholds in the walls. Otherwise, I would happily stay there again.
- 5/5
Pleasant comfortable stay
- 5/5
Great location
- 2/5
We got to our room to find bed bugs. The hotel staff at the front desk did not seem to care, and brushed it off very quickly. We did get a new room, and that one appeared to be cleaner.
- 4/5
The staff was cordial, the location is excellent but at the same time extremely noisy at night. Bring earplugs.
- 5/5
very nice
- 5/5
Conveniently located in the center of everything! Spacious and clean rooms!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. In walking distance of a lot of places and things. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Great room
- 5/5
This hotel had a great location to shopping and several enjoyable restaurants.
- 3/5
Horrific pillows
- 5/5
It was affordable
- 3/5
I was under the impression that the hotel came with breakfast but it didn't. And they never brought up new clean towels upon my request.
- 4/5
Weber Grill was great, good food and great selection of drinks.
- 4/5
Dislike: not getting access to the MLB National League playoffs on the room TV. What TV service or hotel room doesn't get this national event??? I had to get updates on the games through my phone. Very annoying.
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and amenities like the in-room fridge and microwave make the stay even more convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to offer recommendations or assist with anything you need. Overall, it’s a great value in an unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago.
- 3/5
We were told the hotel was sold out for Th night, but we could check for the 2nd night on Friday to see if there was a room with 2 double beds. We didn’t check back because we didn’t want to move but was disappointed that we weren’t given two rooms with 2 double beds that were listed on my confirmation.
- 4/5
This hotel has all the regular amenities that you expect from a Hilton, but I was also so impressed with how quiet it was given its location.
- 4/5
A good value hotel in heart of Chicago
- 5/5
Very convenient location, walkable to most.
- 3/5
The location of this hotel was amazing! We elected to use the metro train to and from the airport and there was a station on the corner of the hotel. My room was dark and dated. The bed was awfully uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. The AC Unit did not cool well…there were periods where we were very hot (mid August). To round off with a plus—we really enjoyed Weber’s Grill, which has direct access from the hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly helpful staff for late check out due to work event timing.
- 5/5
Great spot downtown. Walk to the Navy Pier and up and down the river. Stairs to the L just across State Street.
- 2/5
Coffee machine broke and leaked, dresser was broken, keys needed replacing 3 times in 3 days. Some feedback for the staff, we came in and out what felt like a dozen times a day, with a double stroller. We managed to get through the double doors every time but we could see people standing at the desk and it would have been a nice extra step to help me my wife get through the door with the stroller and hold the door since you are standing 10 feet away. Again, this is for feedback on an easy way to be courteous or provide an elevated service. Some patrons that were waiting to use the door would hold it but not once did the staff.
- 5/5
Excellent location for visiting Chicago, near major attractions, walking distance to mig mile and Chicago river. Subway station is beside the hotel. Many restaurants are around. Hotel is a little old but condition is good and the price is reasonable. Staffs are very friendly.
- 4/5
Room was clean and quiet. Convenient location for Michigan Ave.
- 5/5
Clean room , staff were friendly, a lot of restaurants in the area.
- 5/5
I stay here often; the location is perfect and close to everything I could possibly want. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. They’re also more than happy to keep your bags if you have meetings and such after checkout and they’re always so courteous and kind
- 3/5
We didnt get cleaning service even though we stayed 4 days and we asked for it twice. The beds are old and they have a big gap between the headboard and the mattress.

Put us in a room that had a significant amount of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Moved us into another room but did not give us much for the health hazard we were initially exposed too. Couple bottles of water and snacks. They did not go out of their way to accommodate us and that was disappointing.

Perfect Location! But I just had to constantly call them for towels! The water extremely hot is what I loved about it! But overall it was a great location to stay! You’re downtown where everything is!!!! Two thumbs up! ☺️oh the police noise gone keep you up! Lol!

First night, room smelled horrible. I complained, they offered to move me but not until 3pm the next day. I couldn't make that work as I was busy with conference responsibilities. I returned the next morning and the room smelled okay, but still had periodic odors of sewage eminating. I kept the air on, but noted that the air turned off when I left the room. I wasn't very comfortable the entire trip, the service was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the $300/night that they charge. I won't ever be staying at this hotel ever again.

I had a great stay at the Hilton! The staff were super friendly and welcoming — they even let us check in early, which was a huge plus. The location couldn’t have been better — it’s right across the street from a subway station, and there’s a grocery store and CVS just a short walk away. The area felt very safe and convenient. Overall, a wonderful experience — I’d definitely stay here again!

Everything was very nice. Great location for walking, subway, or Uber/Lyft. Restaurants within same block offer top-notch cuisine. I would go back and stay here again!

Within a few blocks of so many great restaurants. Try Zarella Pizzeria and Taverna for great tavern-style pizzas, artisanal pizzas and Italian. Plus, Pizzeria Uno, Mastro's Steakhouse, etc. are all within walking distance. Bally's casino is also only a few blocks away. Nice rooms! Great service!

Just a short stroll from the hotel, you'll find popular spots like grocery stores, Nordstrom, Starbucks, and many other exciting destinations.

Great location to and walking to riverwalk, millennium park. Metro is right outside the front door.

I did bring this up with them at reception, but their only solution was to give my points in the loyalty program (?) that I had already told her I'm not a member of. I explained that I was beyond disappointed paying $200 per night for something so low quality. I've stayed in Motel 6s with better standards.

Can’t say enough about this wonderful hotel! The room was immaculate, and we took advantage of the pool and the gym. The location is PERFECT! The staff is exceptionally kind and friendly. We just spent seven nights here, and we enjoyed every moment of being in fabulous Chicago. It’s now our fav city!! Thanks for making our vacation so great . . . hope to come back here next year!
