In general the hotel is good, it's just that I think is too expensive for what it is and for what they offer. The price, it was very high.

This property was perfect for our time in Chicago. I will return! It was convenient to get to all the events and venues we wanted to see. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was delish. The room was perfect. You could tell it was an older property, some paint and fixture issues. But those didn't interfere with the stay.

Cleanliness, friendly staff all around The room door (506) doesn't always close completely. It will get stuck, not terrible. But, if someone doesn't pay attention, it may not fully close. Would have liked other places besides LL to fill a water bottle.

We also had issues with room cleaning. Staff asked what time we wanted the room cleaned because we were still in the room when they first came by. We told them anytime after 1 PM. We left for several hours and returned around 7 PM to find the room had still not been cleaned and was left a mess. Another disappointment was that the room we received was smaller than the room advertised online when booking. The front desk staff was nice and professional, so most of the issues seemed to be related to housekeeping rather than customer service.

Valet couldn’t take our car (don’t travel in Chicago with a U-Haul lmao), but directed us to a good parking structure that did. The AC was broken in the first room we were assigned, but the receptionist very quickly changed our room which was so much nicer.

Shower/tub did not have safety precautions such as adequate grab bar and anti slip coating on the tub service. I fell and fractured 4 ribs during my stay.

Location: Excellent. Close to everything - Riverwalk, Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, Magnificient Mile, Millenium Park and the Cruise Piers. Breakfast: A big plus. Tea/coffee: Always available in the lobby Staff: Frontdesk staff were prompt and helpful. Heritage building: The old motor club (AAA) building. We saw multiple tour guides bringing people to the lobby to show them around. The room did not have big bay windows so there was limited natural light. The restroom was not the best and it needed deeper cleaning. In general, the housekeeping can be improved.

For the expensive price this hotel charges, amenities were meager. My unit did not provide enough soap to use and did not give to-go breakfast as approved from my request. Pricing was very high for a fair hotel experience.

Typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Disgusting. Air conditioner rattled all the time. I called about it and was told that’s the way it is. It was updated and clean.

I stay here frequently on my trips to Chicago, this hotel always exceeds my expectations. The two young ladies I engaged with at the front desk went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant experience. Perfect location to walk to many attractions and a huge collection of dining options

Wonderful location! Walking distance from everything we wanted to do/see. Only issue is the noisy a/c system. Thankfully, it works very well and the room was confortable, but for light sleepers, that could be a potential issue. Otherwise, an excellent place to stay and highly recommend!

Location was great for my meeting and staff were overall nice and friendly and helpful. I just had an issue with my room and despite maintenance coming four times, it was finally resolved. There was not any follow up with was surprising. But it was nice and accommodating overall.

Probably was really pretty. Staff was amazing. The room was very small for a king bed and two people. Just one bedside drawer and a small closet wasn’t enough. Bar wasn’t available as was stated.

We did not get crib and the front guest told they dont have anymore, when we specifically had placed request. My husband slpet on floor, they dint give us mattress too

My room didn't get cleaned at all. I stayed there for 3 nights and they told us on checkin they only clean rooms every other day, so we were expecting our room to be cleaned with fresh sheets after a long tiring day, but it had not been touched. We had piled up trash, no more toilet paper, and the hand soap wasn't even in the room when we checked in. I should not have to call down to get soap or for trash pickup.

A lot of little things missing from the room..... Phone had half the buttons missing, so when I needed more towels and stuff I had to go the lobby to ask in person. Shampoo was empty upon arrival... really annoying when you're actively trying to use it. Plus they said housekeeping every other day, but never happened over our entire stay. Property was nice, but I didn't know what I would be getting in the room day to day.

Location was great. Very friendly valet staff. Room is very small with poor air flow. Felt very humid and musky even with AC and dehumidifier on entire time. Room was out of body wash and shampoo when we arrived. Breakfast was great.

Parking kind of sucks. We arrived late on Friday night and had to park at a garage. The closest garages were full. Had to walk about 3 blocks to park. They do have a valet option though.

It's an excellent and very interesting hotel (used to be the Chicago Automobile Association headquarters, lots of cool car-themed midcentury design), located in a great place, with great staff, a solid breakfast, and always clean rooms. The one negative is that there are nearby dumpsters VERY loudly emptied by truck in the evening (sounds like they're being thrown off of a building). Nothing really the hotel can do to fix that, but may be important to know. That said I definitely would stay here again (and have!)

Super clean hotel, friendly staff and amazing car valet team who went above and beyond for me and my kiddos over the weekend!

Cons: the upkeep at this hotel is awful; gym had 3 treadmills and 4 bikes, and none of them worked except for one bike. The rooms were also in need of better maintenance.

Every night the entire week there was a garbage truck that came into the alley approximately between 1a-2a and stayed for about 20 minutes. I brought this up to front desk staff the second day of my stay hoping to potentially change rooms. I was given foam ear plugs and informed that others reported the same concern. I was reassured that while there were not other rooms to switch to, the garbage would not be coming again for the rest of the week until the weekend. That was not the case. The duration of my stay from Monday-Friday, being in town for a work conference, I was woken up out of my sleep every night by the loud slamming and beeping sounds outside of my room (on fourth floor). Housekeeping services were also not provided on one of the guaranteed days. Not even one bottle of complimentary water. Water $4 ea. Otherwise stay was okay. But unfortunately the lack of sleep I got due to this issue not being addressed was enough for me to wish I stayed elsewhere.

Cool hotel layout, clean room, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Weird chemical smell in the room when I arrived and in the basement fitness area but not terribly persistent.

Room was a little dated. Could have used a light in the shower and a shelf or shower caddy for guests that want to use their own shampoo. Room was spacious, which was nice.

This was the former Chicago Motor Club building which reminds us easily by some decors. As the refurbish was nicely done, we enjoyed the airy atmosphere of the room without thinking about the former office building. Room was clean yet functional with a nice bed for a good night sleep. On top of that, people who are working for this hotel are superb, and the free breakfast was certainly appreciated (both quality and quantity). Only "drawback" (if you will) was the drainage of the washroom a bit weak, and the ice machine on the 11th floor did not work. Nonetheless, great group of people and location were easily offset some inconvenience. That said, it was a great stay overall.

The front desk staff was courteous (not overly so). We paid extra for a river view, but when we arrived in the (rather small) room, the heater was making an awful racket, there were orange extension cords plugged in, and the toilet was running. We tried to flush the toilet but it didn't work. So, back down to the front desk. We were given another room (no river view) on the same floor. Apparently all the rooms are small and all the heaters make noise. We decided to suck it up and stay. This hotel could definitely stand some upgrading compared to other hotels. Wish I had read other reviews instead of just going by overall star rating. Would not stay here again.

Poor experience. The water in the bathroom sink was either boiling or would not get warm at times and by the second day, the handle just fell off completely. That same day, while closing the sun-shade on one of the windows, a large sharp-edged, metal bar came crashing down from the top of the window, narrowly missing my head, and we were no longer able to move the sun-shade up or down. Climate control was also wonky and would display one temp while blowing air that definitely wasn't matching the reading on the unit. Finally, the key-card scanner on the door stopped working and we tried to troubleshoot the issue to no avail, eventually having to wait ~30 minutes for an employee to first come to the desk to help and then another employee to come to our room to solve the issue. Not amused by the experience here, if I wanted a less than favorable stay I simply would have gone somewhere else for half the price.

our initial room had a really loud AC like screeching noise from a fan and they moved us right away. valet was also easy. well worth the price. this place was unexpectedly so close to millenium park and we were able to walk around with comfort. highly recommend if you want to see the bean!

We were in the city to attend Cubs Convention 2026. Though we booked for Hampton, they experienced an issue that caused a relocation to a nearby Cambria. As a result, our stay was comped, which was greatly appreciated. Our stay at Cambria was quite pleasant, staff were wonderful, and we look forward to another stay in the future!

The shower pressure in the room was very low. When we poured coffee in the reception area on arrival a bunch of flies flew out of the grille below the urn and we got a lot of coffee grounds in the cup and had to throw it away.

Sweet hotel. The lobby in this building is really cool. All art deco and apparently was originally the AAA building in Chicago. Neat history. Rooms were as expected from a Hampton Inn. Clean, well lit and the right size.

We did able to check in in this hotel, they have sort of issues insteas they transfered us to Hyatt centric.. which did so much inconvenience .. Far away from our parking booking and no breakfast.

Everything was great accept that our room and breakfast was cold. No matter how I will try to turn up the heat, it didn't work. They offered to move us and give us half. It was 9:30pm. I don't know if they're giving me half off or not yet.

Not enough space for 4 people

The heat wasn’t working when we got there. We had to call for extra blankets. There was No cold water, it was boiling hot. The bathtub backed up. They tried to reset the heat, but it didn’t work. We got back to our room at about midnight and called back down and then we had to change rooms. The second room was way smaller than the first room. The blinds were broken and didn’t move. The lamp was broken. There was no water pressure in the shower. The room was super hot. They had a maintenance guy come up and try to fix the heat and it worked for a little bit. The hotel regulated the thermostat during the daytime. We were there for 4 days and never got any housekeeping (they said you would get it every other day). We normally don’t complain this much, but this was pathetic. Excellent location and great breakfast buffet however! We did get a small refund.

The staff can level up their attitude, at breakfast and some of them at front desk. Customer service is the main reason why people come back to you. In this case, it didn’t work.

The heater was broken and we had to go to a completely different hotel for a night. When we came back the next day we were placed into a different room and the heater was blowing cold air. it took 35+ minutes for them to fix it. Our trip was based off of this issue and we wasted a lot of time when we could’ve been out enjoying ourselves. it was extremely frustrating and stressful

The front desk was amazing, check-in was quick and easy. We used the hotel recommended lot across the street but the hotel gave us the wrong price for “self park” so we ended up paying more than we were expecting. The room was small and looked quite dated. The A/C - Heater was very noisy. Whenever it would kick on, it sounded like a small plane was taking off. Not real conducive for a good night sleep. The toilet blocked up, but soon fixed itself. I’d called the desk to report the blockage, and called back when it cleared itself. They still sent someone to double check and make sure all was well, so that was good. It was a great location for the things we did and the places we went on our short trip to the city. We never stopped in the lobby for breakfast, so no comments there. It was nice to have a microwave in the lobby to heat up some pecan rolls we’d brought from our local bakery, but it would have been even nicer to have a small microwave IN the room like most hotels do these days. The beds and pillows were comfortable - but still didn’t get much sleep because,of the constant noise.

Room was comfortable, clean, bed was a little worn out, staff was pleasant, breakfast was average plus and parking was not applicable for us. A definite repeat for us as it's in a great location for our needs

Was super nice and quick! They were able to accomdate to our early check in and even alllowed for us to stay an hour later on our check out. We were not going to be able to go to our next destination until 4 and they held our luggage for us until we were able to come back which gave us time to walk around the city without having to haul around our luggage. They are in the middle of the city which allowed for us to explore and walk around the city whenever we wanted without having to uber everywhere. The breakfast was okay, nothing crazy but still good and kept us fed. Overall a very good hotel and a good option for the price.

The hotel itself was good, great continental breakfast, but the AC was SO loud in the rooms - you could hear them from outside in the hallways. Additionally the staff was not the friendliest, and one was asleep at the front desk when i was trying to ask a question one morning. Overall, not worth the price we paid, but good enough for the weekend / conveniently located.

Good location to walk around, cabs were easily accessible. room & bathroom were not very clean. Debris was left on the floor near bed edge and shower had lots of mildew. A/c gave me a cough like it wasn’t clean air.

Location was excellent. Close to many things to see and do in the area and it felt safe. Breakfast was good and staff was fairly friendly. My only complaint was the room window was FILTHY and I paid extra for the river view. We could barely see the river through the window.

Room was on the small side but very clean and nice.

First the room had a dirty damp carpet smell the hallway had a smell the toilet ran all night paid for a river view received a river corner view. Overly loud and the receptionist must have been somewhere sleep because she never returned for 45 plus minutes so I went back to a high priced room that I could never fall asleep in. Left very early

Excellent location. There is a bus stop nearby if you are tired of walking on the Magnificent Mile. Staff is very friendly. Room is a little smaller than what I'm used to in most hotels, but that is expected in this area of the city. I would like to specifically note the amazing water pressure of the shower. It's perefect after a long day of sightseeing.

We LOVED the Art Deco lobby and learning about the history of the building. Our room was comfortable and quite, the complementary breakfast was quite good, and the front desk staff was very friendly. EXCELLENT location!

Location is great, very close to Riverwalk and everything. But the facility needs works, the bathtub not draining at all. Breakfast was just very basic.

Overall, these are situations that can be improved because we love the hotel and its breakfast, but not having our room cleaned on any of the three days did ruin the experience a bit. However, I would stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it, just keep in mind that to have your room cleaned, you will probably have to insist quite a bit at the front desk.

When checking in, it took almost 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to help us. Therr appeared to be only one front desk check in attendant which I think it’s interesting at a large hotel especially on a Friday. It was also disappointing to see the bar was not open and if it was there was no bartender present to make it even look like it was open to serving.

This is a Great place to stay. It is right in the middle of everything. Room was clean & comfortable. The free hot breakfast was really good to start the mornings. Front desk was very responsive & informative. Would stay here again if back in Chicago.

Very centric and close to the main attractions downtown

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The lobby was nice and clean. Our room was clean and cool. No problem with anything. Our stay was very comfortable and it was close by to everything we wanted to see.

Comfortable bed and pillows were amazing! Breakfast options were great. Perfect location for walking to Magnificent Mile, the canal, Starbucks Reserve, and several great restaurants.

It was okay but for the price it could have had a better complementary breakfast. Also they said, the bar was under construction, even though there was nothing being done to it and there’s bottles of alcohol. They just didn’t wanna make it, but you could get a beer if you wanted.

Shade broken toliet filthy cramed room

Excellent location but it was loud at night which was understandable. However, the A/C made a very high pitch noise when working. It was so annoying we turned it off. I talked to the front desk and they said all of them were like that.

Perfect location

The next morning I spoke with the front desk, (which I think the woman's name was Vee), and she was SO helpful and understanding. We were moved up to the 10th floor which was a much nicer room, very quiet and beds were much more comfortable. Very pleased and slept like a rock! Very appreciative of the service given to my self and my daughters. The breakfast had many options to choose from and was very good! The location is absolutely perfect for close access to the BigBus transportation and only a $10 ride to the Navy Pier. I got up early one morning and walked right around the corner to walk the River Walk before everyone else in the room woke up which was just beautiful. We checked out on Saturday and the front desk were more than happy to keep our bags for us until we were ready to leave. I did find parking cheaper through spot here just a block over which was easily accessible and safe. Overall great trip!

Tiea at the front desk was great, but everything else about the hotel was horrible. We didn’t even stay through the first night because the AC wasn’t working, the room smelled like mildew and there was feces on the toilet seat.

It was very clean but always so hot in the lobby and hallway. The gym was a joke it was just a couple of treadmills. I was on the 9th floor and everything from outside was still sooooo loud, it didn’t help that the AC in my room whined kinda loud all night. The breakfast was decent and it was close to get to sites.

Horrible sound came from a/c unit. Room was not stocked at arrival. No laundry services like noted on amenities. Waffle makers down first day. Parking was expensive and should be better noted on the website.

We had no soap, toilet paper, or shower gel and the toilet did not work. Toilet was repaired but still did not flush properly. We could only access WiFi the whole time we were there. The business center had 2 computers but one was off and the other not set up yet. I had to leave the hotel to work, which made my stay at the hotel pointless. The staff was apologetic saying the issue was Hilton wide and out of their hands but offered no solutions. I will log stay here again, though the location is great and staff was lovely. Not being able to work cost me money, which is unacceptable. I’ve never had issues at Hilton hotels but if the euro is not guaranteed I will not be back

Terrible stay . They didn’t clean the room for 3 days even after multiple requests. No mirror in bathroom, bathroom lock not worked. AC was not proper and we all sweating even at lowest temperature and high fan speed.

When we checked out we were charged for the additional "already payed for" room. The hotel told me they couldn't do anything about it and that I should contact Orbitz, even though I had told them the original reservation was for only one room and that everything was payed for already. They won't refund me for what they said it was already paid. On top of that, they said they would clean up the room every other day, but the never did. Even worse, we found someone else's sock in the room! I don't think they actually do any cleaning. The hallway smelled like trash and I saw a huge trash bag next to another room and took at least one day for it to be picked up.

My colleague did have an issue with the AC in his room and he eventually moved rooms because of it. The only issue with my room was that the bathtub drain was slow and probably could have been rooted.

The staff was friendly and helpful giving recommendations to eat and directions. We were there 3 nights and never got our room cleaned or fresh towels. Not sure if I needed to ask but usually I don’t have to they just come by and do it. Everything was pretty clean except for a few spots in the shower had mold so I think maybe they need to either spend more time cleaning it or replace the caulking.

Loction is excellent and center to activities. Staff were friendly and professiona. Out of 3 elevators only one was working. Staff were working hard to get the repair company but at the time we left the hotel, they were not able to get it done.

Close to Chicago Theater

The hotel is a cool 1928 building in a great location. The free breakfast has lots of options and was good. The room (12th floor) was clean and quieter than the lower floors. The only ding was that the bathroom fan didn’t work.

My experience at a hotel in Chicago was extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it. The conditions of the rooms were simply unacceptable, flirty bed covers and there were no mirrors in the restrooms because another guest broke the mirrors before —when we asked in the front desk for help to change for another rooms they tell us that there was no more rooms available, I was so disappointment because I had a paid reservation in a month in advance, —and I encountered roaches and other bugs throughout the facility. Given the high price per room, I expected far better accommodations. To add to my frustration, the rooms had a strong odor of marijuana, which is shocking for a Hampton hotel. The level of service did not meet my expectations at all. I will not return to this hotel and strongly advise others against booking here, especially if traveling with family. This hotel made our experience in Chicago negative for my kids and family, and I believe everyone deserves better.

I think the hotel was overpriced relative to the services provided. I had a four night stay and house keeping did not attend to my room at during my stay. The room was adequate and the staff were friendly. 3/5.

Air Conditioner dripped and all night you could hear water rushing from the plumbing. Breakfast was good. What you'd expect so no surprises there.

I wish you happened when we arrived in the room and discovered a bag between the bed and the window which contained a half feet and chicken. I took it down to reception and they were not very responsive and the female staff member just stared at me. I asked her to take it and told her I was not impressed which she did and then she stated that she would get the supervisor to contact me regarding this issue which I never receive contact over the three days over there. Other staff, particularly a young gentleman who was behind the counter in reception on the days following was absolutely spectacular friendly helpful accredited to your hotel Another minor issue was the fact that the shower/bath did not drain very well and would constantly fill up while showering

I told the front desk person at check out and she proceed to tell me had I told her 5 seconds earlier that should she would have given me a discount but she had already pressed the check out button and didn't want to get a manager to refund it. I wasn't even looking for a discount and wanted to make sure the room got a deep clean.

When we finally were able to check in two days later, the room was not properly cleaned. There was trash in the drawers and behind the trash can, and debris all over the bathroom—including a press-on nail on the floor. The towels provided had stains on them, and we had to request new ones. When we brought all this to the front desk's attention, the only response we got was, “Sorry, we’re short staffed.” I understand that staffing issues happen, but the complete lack of preparation, cleanliness, and care for guests' experience made this stay incredibly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this property until they make significant improvements.

Very helpful staff checking in and out, they held our luggage our last day while we explored with no issue, and the rooms were clean and tidy.

This Hampton Inn is in the best location! It allows easy walking distance to all local attractions. The hotel room was spacey and clean. The breakfast does not disappoint. The front staff were exceptionally helpful.

Very central location in downtown Chicago; clean room and cordial service.

The only downside was a terribly noisy AC, a thermostat that only went from 68 to 69F and back, and a pillar right in the middle of the room. It gets really noisy at night, but that probably comes with being in downtown. They can probably upgrade the windows a tad bit to make it better, but can’t complain with the location. Not sure if I have any real complaints at the moment.

This hotel is a bit run down, the beds not super comfortable, and a lot of ambient noise. That being said the staff is friendly and helpful, it's in an extremely walkable area, and feels quite safe.

Great stay. Didn't like having to go to one floor for ice and then another to fill water bottle. Breakfast staff was rude when I used the pitcher of water to fill my water bottle up. Could have just had two pitchers setting out, problem solved.

The reason why i gave a 3 star is the fact that the room was extremley small and hot. The temperature wouldn't go lower than 68°, and as a woman going through menopause...wowee hot! The toilet ran a lot so i wouldn have to remove the tank lid to fix the stopper. However the good stuff outweighed the negatives. The staff was incredibly accomadating and so friendly. The breakfast was absolutely delicious as well.

The heater was very loud and didn’t work well. The room was freezing despite having the thermostat set at 74. The noise it made interrupted our sleep. I talked to the front desk staff and was told that they had no other rooms and were sold out. I asked for maintenance to look at it and was told that those systems are louder…

The thermostat was confusing to work but other than that. The hotel is right by literally everything.

This property was in the perfect location for us to be able to walk to the area attractions such as restraunts, the Sears Tower, magnificent mile, the John Hancock Center, and Mellinium park. The room we had with a view of the river made our stay even better. The hotel was very clean and maintained, and we absolutely loved being able to mirror or streaming services from my phone to the television. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and one of the best that we've had at any hotel anywhere. Our only problem was the parking situation, especially with a full sized truck with topper that wouldnt fit into any of the garages except the one across the street ($140 for 2 nights and no in and out).

It was a one night stay. It was fine, very old hotel. All the carpet needs to be replaced in the rooms. Furniture is stained and i wouldn't sit in the chair in our room.

Rooms are smaller as the building is smaller and furnace was a bit loud, but location is great!

This is our favorite hotel to stay at when we come to Chicago loop area! The historic lobby is just gorgeous, and staff are always kind and helpful. The breakfast variety is fantastic (love the potatoes).

It's a convenient spot for downtown Chicago, great value for the price, and includes a very nice breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly. We parked in a public garage 3 blocks away for $65/24hrs.

I was expecting more from a Hampton Hotel. The building is old and it took a while for our room to get warm. The rooms are small for double beds. I hated the sliding door for the bathroom. No housekeeping during our trip. I had to ask for towels, trash bags and tissue. The breakfast was great and the breakfast’s staff were friendly.

I understand this is a historical building but the lobby needs attention and cleaning.

Easy to get around as lots of buses/subway/L nearby. Room good size and a nice sized bathroom. Had a fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board. No safe, though. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was okay for staying here for 3 days however we were given a room that did not have a very clean bathroom there was mold and mildew in the shower along with poor water pressure which was very annoying. And a bathroom door that had to be forced closed and did not have a working lock. TV did not connect to share play and was overall a very tight small room with not a lot of places to store clothes out of the walking area. Not really anything other than a small gym in this hotel and the bar was closed the majority of the time. Confusing area for drivers with 2 hotels was hard to distinguish between which places were. However area was right next to the riverwalk lots of places to eat within walking distance and complimentary breakfast was great and the staff was great.

The breakfast was good. The property itself is a little dated,but it appears to be getting a remodel. Location is fantastic. Close to great restaurants, shopping and the theatres.

Cons: - During our stay, weather temps ranged from -7 to 35 degrees F. Stayed in room with King bed and city/river view. Inside the windows, it iced up. Couldn't leave curtains/screen open due to outside weather coming in. Therefore, making room with a view pointless. - Cocktail bar is for looks. Hasn't been open for a while and was told definitely not during our stay or foreseeable future. - Car parking is not on premises. Extremely costly if you want in/out valet privileges. - King room with view was very small. No dressers. Only 1 tall cabinet. Bathroom door is a pocket door that doesn't fully close/lock. - Cleanliness average mostly due to renovation construction. Pros: - Continental breakfast better than most places. - Location is walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, stores and public transportation hubs. Overall: During extreme weather, either hot or cold, do not recommend rooms with windows. Until old single pane glasses are replaced, opt for the interior rooms. Also if you're uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with someone, choose the larger rooms or ask for the ones that fully close/lock. Good place to stay otherwise, if you want to be in the mix of everything.

The last 2 days it was cold in the rooms and in the lobby

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast area was way overcrowded and nowhere to sit. It took me 45 minutes to get valet to get my car when we were trying to leave there was nobody up at the desk. The battery on our hotel door went dead so we have to wait for maintenance to fix it so we could get into our room. Our heater didn’t work in our room and the refrigerator did not work so it could definitely use some updates

Elevators were not overly busy for the number of guests in the lobby at different times and seemed to be working well. All of the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. The hotel was lower rate than some near by which was part of my reason for booking, but the experience was no less enjoyable.

Friendly staff, clean property in a location that is very convenient and within minutes walk to theater district, shopping, restaurants and within 5 minute walk to Metra and Southshore train station.

As a college student working a part time job I decided to go with this hotel as it was the more “affordable” option. I don’t have a ton of room to judge, but I feel like I did spend my money and didn’t receive all I could’ve. Weird stains in different places. Slimy bathroom floor. Staff was exceptional though, anything we asked for such as extra towels, or new sheets, they were happy to help. The building just needs a little bit of love put into it! BREAKFAST WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!!!

When we got to our room, our bed was VERY broken. Thankfully, the management quickly moved us to another room. Sheets in second room were stained. You could tell the room wasn't deep cleaned in a LONG time. The child's bare feet were super dirty from the carpeting. I'll be staying somewhere else next time we go to Chicago.

We had stayed here a few years ago and it was great. This time not so much. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept in. The bathroom was dirty and bedding had stains on the sheets. The walls are very thin and the sirens / noise from the street woke us up multiple times throughout the night. It’s a great location, but unfortunately I won’t be returning

The rooms were a bit small, but overall, it was a clean and good service. The breakfast was really good! Hotel is right next to Michigan Ave and walkable distance to CTA.

The sink was dirty and mold around the drain. Breakfast was hot and area was taken good care. However, an employee made faces every time someone was getting food or as she was waiting for the customer. Guest service counter can't control every detail and they did excellent in addressing the bedroom cleaning issue. To the management, for the location or the brand name behind this inn they lack on leadership. This experience had me confused as if I booked in a Econo Lodge. For sheets so stained with unknown fluids is a unforgettable experience. Worst makes me feel you can put people health in danger to cutting corners. Hilton, if you care of your brand name and quality send auditors and verify my hard but truthful review. Or, tell your loyalty program customers to bring their own sheets since you can pay to make our own bed and to bring cleaning products to have a clean room.

I asked explicitly to have a room where it would be quieter since I’m a light sleeper and the staff person said it was quiet. They put me on the second floor in a room directly facing the street where sirens and horns made noise all night and music started playing early in the morning.

They charged me 69$ per day for 4 nights for Vallet, which I didn't even use; all I wanted to do was park my car in hotel parking and use Uber. But during check-in they took my key from me and parked, and on the 4th day they gave me my key back. They did not mention this during my stay. No, I am not getting my deposit back as they charged $69/night * 4 days without using Vallet Service.
