We had delays getting to the hotel, one call and the manager had us checked in so we only needed to pick up our room keys. The staff was helpful and kind, giving suggestions on where to eat, sights to see and best family activities! Next trip to Chicago we will definitely be staying here!

Room cleaning is every other day: didn't see that before I booked. Long queues and waited for the elevators (elevators broken). Not worth it. Staff were polite and helpful.

Staff was very helpful and courteous that’s what save the stay, property was really old very dusty, the bathroom was really outdated The flushing thing for the toilet was broken. That’s really petty in my opinion with all the money we pay for a stay not to have a handle to flush the toilet, dust everywhere and bed sheets very old and smelly in my opinion not worth the stay!

I definitely loved the big room and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. It had stylish details and like its location is a plus. Hotels at this price range tend to offer bottled water in the rooms, this one did not which was a little disappointing.

I checked in with three kids for a quick trip to the city. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and the hotel is located very convenient to all our attractions. We could walk to the Museum of Ice Cream, shopping on Michigan Ave and Ed Debevick's for dinner. Once we arrived, we never had to get the car back out! The room was a great size for the four of us, my 11 year old son slept on the pull out couch and my teenage girls shared a queen bed. Everyone was very comfortable.

The hotel was great and the staff were great but the parking is 2/10 would t recommend m. Daily parking is $60.00 but if you have to use your car you will still pay $60.00 to get it out regardless of how long you were in the parking garage. So be prepared to either find parking on the street or pay the fee.

Location Hospitality was not good. Rooms weren’t inspected before moving. Gaps in the window let in extremely cold draft on 20th floor while the thermostats for heating didn’t work. Staff didn’t resolve it immediately. Only on last day they came and solved it. First two days I fell sick because there was cold draft and siren noise from downstairs all the time through the night. The thermostat didn’t turn heating mode on at all for the same time. When the staff came in to solve the issue they also accidentally removed the curtain rod.

Perfect location steps from everything! You cannot beat the location of this hotel! Tucked just a block off Michigan Avenue, it offers the perfect balance of a quiet night's sleep and ultimate proximity to all of Chicago's main attractions. We walked to absolutely everything—the Magnificent Mile shopping, River North dining, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and the Riverwalk are all just a short stroll away. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The indoor pool and on-site Starbucks were fantastic bonuses. If you want a walker's paradise in the heart of downtown, this is the place to stay!

We found the staff friendly and helpful. Parking sticker shock at $65 per day is lower than some other downtown Chicago hotels. The hotel is in close proximity to Northwestern University Hospital which worked well for us.

The room was one of the worst Marriott properties I’ve ever stayed. The room in all aspects was not Clean. Trims , carpet, bed , sofa ,shower etc.

Everything about this hotel just fell slightly short of my expectations. The shower drain in our room ran extremely slow, causing water to pool in the tub, also the walls in the shower needed to be wiped down better. The temperature of the hotel pool was very cold. The water was also very cloudy, not sure if the chemicals were off.

Aside from there being a dirty sock in our room when we first arrived, the stay was pleasant! The room was clean, all workers were polite and attentive, and service was quick and painless.

The room was clean, except there were about a dozen or so fruit flies. The condition of the wallpaper, tub, etc. is worn, but the room itself was comfortable. The thermostat worked. The room darkening shades were great. The pool had a view of the city buildings. Neat sky window. The water didn’t seem very clean, as we couldn’t see past our torsos or our feet. Very slippery wet floor. There is a glass wall between the pool and gym. Just be aware the outside traffic can be loud with police and fire truck sirens and cars honking horns, but I would imagine this would be an issue at any hotel in the busy area. One negative is the hotel parking. It is $65 to self park in the garage or $70 for valet. Wish we would’ve just valet parked. The parking garage is very tight and narrow. We had to go down some stairs with our luggage to get to the elevator that takes you down to the lobby. When taking the elevator to your room, you must swipe your room key first and then hit the floor number. We never experienced this before and wound up riding up and down a few times. Good security measure though. We did feel safe at this hotel and only went out during the day. The hotel is in great walking distance to stores.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel due to a lack of transparency about their incidental hold policy. At no point during booking or in any confirmation emails was it disclosed that a credit/debit card was mandatory for incidentals. This was only revealed at check-in. I had sufficient cash to cover any potential charges, but was told cash was not accepted and that I would be turned away without a card. This put me in a very difficult position because this requirement was never communicated beforehand. Policies that affect whether a guest can actually check in should be clearly disclosed before arrival. What made matters worse was the manager on duty, who showed no willingness to work toward a solution and demonstrated very poor customer service. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or even show basic concern. Because of the lack of disclosure and poor handling of the situation, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this property. I would strongly encourage future guests to call ahead and confirm all payment requirements so you do not encounter the same situation. Very disappointing experience overall.

I took my 10-year-old grandson to Chicago for a spring break getaway. Our room at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Magnificent Mile was perfect in every way. The bed was comfortable. The sofa with ottoman was relaxing after a long day of seeing the sights. We especially enjoyed the heated pool on the 10th floor. What a treat for my grandson! I recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Chicago.

It was the worst experience of my life. After and emergency landing I had to book at your horrible hotel. I never felt so mistrated. They took advantage of me and eventhough the girl at the desk said she wouldn't.....they charge me 2 nights instead of the one I stayed. I said I might leave in the morning if they opend the airport. You are thieves that take advantage of foreigners and terrible circumstances. And the bath was filthy, I'm glad I only had to stay a night. The breaksfast was horrible and super expensive and the coffee undrinkable. They over charge for everything and is so not worth it. A scam. I will post this review everywhere!!!

Cons: The room was cleanish, the bathroom shower looked crazy. There was only half a covering so water naturally flows to the floor leaving visible water damage and mildew. The room had a nice size but a terrible view we just faced another hotel. The worst thing was that even from a high floor the 24hr street noise particularly ambulances and sirens was crazy loud. Pros: Common areas are nice and there was a Starbucks on property, very convenient. The location to attractions and shopping was great everything was a short walk or Uber ride away.

Excellent location - close to some attractions, food, shopping etc. Large, clean room with refrigerator, tv and sofa - so all was well - it was my solo trip and so my requirements were low. But I expected that breakfast is included - which was not and fell short of my expectations- otherwise good overall.

Check in and out was a breeze! Was a bit disappointed because I paid for parking and was told by the front desk that the valet could bring the car out up to 3 times a day because I had forgotten something in my vehicle but was told that they couldn’t bring my car out until I was ready to leave and check out because I paid through spot hero. Just frustrating because I couldn’t get a simple item out of my car and wish I had known that before they took my car.

The staff was fantastic at check in, got up to our room and the door would not unlock I had to put my whole body into it. Finally got in the room and realized the deadbolt was not going in and the door was sticking. After the maintenance man came up we spent almost half an hour messing with the door to finally get it to be able to close. My daughter was patiently waiting and upset because she wanted to get going and then was hesitant all night that the door was not locked properly. Wish we would have just moved to another room. Other than that the pool was okay very busy and super chlorine smell that made our sensitive skin itch. Location was convenient to most shops and restaurants.

Our room was also pretty dirty. Tons of dusty. I took a photo of all the dust attached to the ceiling where the fan blows out for the heat. Light fixtures were covered in dusty. Hair in the room. And someone else's left overs still in our fridge. I called down to front desk and was put on hold for about 25 minutes. I ended up hanging up and putting the person's left overs out by the ice machine. There was no garbage located in that common area. At this point it was past 6pm and there was no point in trying to complain and book a different hotel. Wouldn't stay here again.

Parking garage is managed by a private company and they were off for the holidays. Garage gates and door just opened and closed for everyone. Hotel will charge you for the garage use anyways. Called garage attendant by phone and they said “the hotel is ripping you off”. When confronted, front desk staff didn’t care.

We were traveling with an infant, so cleanliness was very important to us. Unfortunately, the housekeeping service was the worst part of our stay. Another issue was drinking water. It was available only on the 10th floor, and we were told it was also available in the main lobby. However, when I checked the lobby twice, the water pitcher was empty both times and did not appear clean. The hotel should pay more attention to maintaining and restocking drinking water stations.

Unfortunately, we had either blood or fecal matter on the wall of our room in several places.

Everything else was great from hotel side, except for a lot of Siren sound outside that makes me hard to sleep well.

Staff was great. Toilet in room is very loose on the floor and the safety lock on the room has been busted. Room just seemed old stains all over the big round chair. Just hasnt been updated since like 1999. And $210 for "incidentals" seems like a lot for an outdated room.

The room was not totally cleaned out. There pile of “dirt” left in the entrance hallway as if someone just finishes some work in the room.

Dirty the pool was called the bathtub overflow drain had a bunch of gunk coming out of it. It was disgusting. The transition strip came up. My daughter sliced her toe on it. On a positive note the front desk girls were extremely nice.

Staff was very nice, we got to the hotel very early and they offered to hold our luggage for us so we can walk around the city while we wait for our check in time. Very fast check in and check out. Nice restaurant downstairs. Everywhere was walkable including grocery store, shopping, restaurants, and convenience stores.

Perfect location so you can walk to the tourist attractions from Navy Pier to 360 Chicago Observatory and many more. Would recommend to those traveling to see the sights.

i didn’t see any housekeeping staff during our 3 night stay and they never came to our room. limited trash receptacles in room and no trash bags to empty it yourself if housekeeping is not provided daily. overall- would stay again and we enjoyed our stay.

Staff was great and prompt, the parking was easy and convenient, and it was right in the middle of all the major shopping and dining spots.

Great location, not a far walk to catch the CTA Red Line; walking distance to Navy Pier. The area surrounding the hotel felt safe at night - although not very quiet. Lots of ambulance sirens heard due to Northwestern Medical down the street.

Great location for Downtown Chicago, the lake and the Pier. Rooms were very good, lots of space and comfortable. Staff were friendly, gym and pool were quite small but absolutely fine.

Unfortunately, another guest made some bigoted remarks toward my friends and me in the elevator, which was very disappointing. On top of that, the room itself felt a bit outdated

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the Magnificent Mile. There’s a Starbucks conveniently located downstairs and a Dunkin’ right across the street. Public transportation is also nearby, with both the train and buses within walking distance. If you’re visiting Chicago as a tourist and want easy access to the city’s highlights, this hotel is a great choice.

This hotel really lived up to the Marriot name. The staff, especially Justin, were super helpful. The room was comfortable and clean.

This room is in better condition than the room I stayed in last week. The staff is professional and efficient, And the location is great.

A room with torn carpeting is unacceptable. I booked a room again for a few days later, but I will not choose this hotel again unless its rates are meaningfully better than the other hotels in this part of Chicago. I was disappointed that Marriott believes it is acceptable to rent a room in this condition. I do t think it is acceptable.

I booked a regular queen sized room being that it was just me. They gave me a beautiful queen sized room with wonderful window views of the city. They come and clean every other day. They have a Starbucks inside and a restaurant. Very clean. Close to all attractions. Literally walking distance and plenty of public transportation. This is placed in the perfect spot

Great location. Close to Michigan Ave and many restaurants. Shower backed up and black ooze came up through drain. Property did not attempt to fix it for two days and still was not fixed the day we checked out. Bar is only open from 5 pm to 10 pm. Even on weekends.

Valet laughed and watched me struggle with my suitcases, both coming and going. The manager Joe was helpful the first day, giving me one night of valet free, as I was near tears. But unless you can carry your own bags, don't expect any help here. Or respect.

The property was nearly perfect in every way. Front desk staff and service staff were professional and friendly. Nearly perfect location, immaculately clean, and modern atmosphere make this a must stay. Also the exceptional value for a property of this caliber make it a hidden gem.

I did not like our room. I asked for a new room but staff was not accommodating , so we checked out the next day.

Decent option if you want to be close to everything downtown. The room was fine, nothing special. As others have mentioned, be prepared to hear sirens once in a while, since it is close to a hospital. They don't provide slippers, which I find surprising for a Marriott hotel.

Hotel was ok the biggest issue for us was the hospital located a block away. The sirens were blaring all night which kept us up.

Did not see Valet parking so we did self-parking in the garage. It was extremely difficult to drive in and almost every space was occupied.

The front desk staff greeted us warmly upon arrival, making check-in a breeze. Valet parking was also straightforward. However, when we entered our room, there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom area. I informed the front desk, and they quickly dispatched someone to address the issue, which resolved the smell. Overall, the room was clean, but I did observe that the carpets were quite dirty and appeared to have not been vacuumed. Additionally, there were some black spots on the shower curtains. Check-out was also easy.

No daily clean up for 2 days, which all I stayed. So not enough coffee. Broken closet mirror and automatic shades. Perfectlf fine for my use and in a great area.

The bed had hair, the toilet had feces!! I am not happy about that at all!!! The staff was GREAT!!! That’s unacceptable and i will be getting in touch with corporate about this!! Thank you
