Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location, accommodating staff, and cleanliness. However, some guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the small room size, lack of amenities, and slow elevator service.
- Excellent location
- Accommodating staff
- Small room size
- Slow elevator service

Small room. Coffee machine in the room was good. Cold and hot lever was reversed in shower. Electrical outlet in bathroom did not work so I could not use blow dryer in bathroom. Mattress very firm. Room very clean. Room very quiet. No mini fridge to put food in. Only one vending machine to provide food in the lower level. Five-lb weights were missing from exercise room. No swimming pool. Starbucks within walking distance. Pricey restaurant next door. Larger coffee machine (free) on 2nd flloor. Location of hotel excellent.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. Room was small but all I needed.

The check-in process was quick and easy. The common area provided a comfortable space to relax, with complimentary coffee available throughout the day. The location is outstanding, right in the heart of downtown Chicago, with convenient access to public transportation, major tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The room was very very small, with a very compact double bed, making the space feel somewhat cramped and congested.

Friendly reception staff, superb location The room was a bit noisy as the building's HVAC fan was in front of the window

This should not be rated as a 4 star property. It is 3 stars at best. I was very disappointed in the room. The bathroom was very dated and honestly not the cleanest. The shower head had mildew and the grout was very stained. One of the bath towels was stained, as was the bedding. I did not feel comfortable in this room. My door was directly next to my neighbors, so when they entered and exited their room it sounded as though someone was trying to break into my room. Having a river view is nice, until someone sets fireworks off at 4am.

- 3/5
The location was fantastic! It was so close to everything. Good walking distance from a lot of sites. Wonderful restaurant choices and things to do. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Not the best for what it cost. I've stayed in way nicer places for far less. Staff was absolutely great but no parking available on site. You have to park in a garage a few blocks down. Room was pretty small, with scuffs and scratches on the walls. The AC went out in the middle of the night. I fixed it finally after 20 mins of trying.
- 4.5/5
The location is the perfect spot - walking distance across the bridge from Magnificent Mile and close to the Art Institute and Millennium Park. The Executive Suite we booked was spacious enough for 3 adults. The carpet and lighting feel outdated. Should have a luggage rack as the closet built in rack is too small for a larger suitcase to fit on.
- 3/5
The location is the winner with Club Quarters in Chicago. It's the best! Our only concern was that the staff, who were extremely friendly, nonetheless managed to check us into the wrong room, and then called at 11:30 p.m. (after we were fast asleep the night before a big event) to inform us of this. We then had to go down to the front desk and figure everything out, when the unintentional error was on their part. That wasn't great! Everything else about our stay was fine. The housekeeping was exceptional, and the friendliness in general was very high.

Great location, room not so clean
- 5/5
Really good hotel, I’ll be back next time
- 3/5
- The location is 100/10 and honestly the only good thing about this hotel. (That’s why I gave it 6/10; otherwise, it would have been 2/10.) - Easy check-in and check-out process. - Very old and worn out. - Cleanliness was below average. Although the bathroom was relatively clean, there was dust visible throughout the room. - No refrigerator in the room. - No bathroom slippers. We asked for a pair, but were told they were unavailable. - We opened one of the drawers, and the smell was horrible. - Overpriced for what you get.

Centrally located hotel, clean, nice amenities. I would stay here again. However, I want to highlight 2 things that were not so great. I had booked a suite and was given a suite up on the 41st floor when I arrived at 10:30pm. I was told at that time there was no elevator past Floor 38. The front desk staff did offer to have someone take my bags up 3 floors, however I would have like to be notified when I booked it that they were going to give me this room. There is no way that my friend who was sharing this room with me and has joint issues would be able to climb these floors up and down every time we were in and out of our rooms. I asked if he could give me a different room. He said he could downgrade me and I said that's fine, we'll accept that. He found us a room on the 11 floor and handed me the key and said 'here you go'. He didnt tell me what kind of room he was giving us or any additional details about the gym facility, the laundry services they have etc. I asked him what kind of room was it and he said 'it has a queen bed'. I asked him because we are downgrading from a suite to a queen bed room, would that come with any refunds on the pricing of the room. I am not sure if this question upset him or him just having to look for another room had upset him. He said there are no refunds on this and you said you were ok with a downgrade & proceeded to tell me that I was giving him neg energy. His name is Leo and he needs additional training in customer service.

Not only is it dirty but it is filled with questionable clientele-- prostitutes, homeless people, people on drugs etc.. The location is good however everything else is not. I do not recommend this motel-no-tell.
- 5/5
Check in was very easy! The hotel room was clean and the amenities were also easy to use. Perfect location is you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area.
- 3/5
The staff at the reception were exceptional! Pedro and his team were incredibly helpful. Best location in town. Very outdated. Rooms, switches, carpets. Single glazed windows- constant noise from the street, and incredibly thin walls with no sound insulation, so you can hear your neighbours every single word.
- 4/5
El hotel es bonito, ni hablar de la vista frente al río, pero creo que necesitan poner atención en ciertas cosas que tienen que reparar de las habitaciones y hacer más funcionales otras. Es un excelente hotel. Pero no lo dejen descuidar
- 5/5
So good Nothing
- 4/5
Overall I enjoyed my stay but be wary that some rooms do not have fridges. I got a room with a river view and it did not have a mini fridge. As far as incidentals such as snacks and things, there are two vending machines and an ice machine on two floors so not especially convenient. Felt like a step down from some cheaper properties I've stayed at, but I guess it is more about the location and the view of which both were great. Just don't buy anything that needs refrigeration like I did and waste food and money.
- 4/5
Our room was wonderful. It's definitely worth paying extra for a good view as it's the best view in Chicago! Free coffee on a morning. The first room we were given was on the second to top floor and it was tiny- not what we'd paid for - so I had a word at reception and the guy couldn't have been more helpful and upgraded us to a wonderful room! The lifts took ages.
- 4/5
It was accaptable
- 4/5
Walking distance to many places in Chicago
- 5/5
No complaints! Also excellent location.
- 4/5
We stayed in a superior room with a queen bed and a pull out couch. Everything was clean. The only comment I have is on the noisy AC we had. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Was good
- 4/5
Parking was about a 10 minute walk. But considering some places were valet only, I appreciated the option. When buying online it seemed that the parking was right there and not too much money. If bad weather, the parking would be a killer

Good staff, clean room. Loved the water stations

Wonderful location and very friendly and helpful staff.

Great location. Old style loved it

River view is not great with Trump Tower. Room was small as previous reviews so dont book of you want/need/like more room.. I wouldn't say 'cramped' but def smaller than normal.
- 5/5
Excellent location and friendly staff.

We made the first request at 9:30 pm.
- 4/5
Great staff clean rooms
- 5/5
Great place to stay in the heart of downtown Chicago. Clean rooms and close to plenty of good restaurants and shopping, all for a reasonable price. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Windy City!
- 4/5
Excellent price for the location! Room was nothing special but was clean, comfy, & quiet. Staff in lobby was very helpful & professional. Easy check-in/out since it can all be done on-line. Even an e-key so you just check-in at lobby kiosk! Would stay again based on location & value for the price.

safe environment, would have preferred more spacious rooms including a full kitchen.
- 5/5
Downside: you can hear some noises outside of the hotel like sirens but overall it was a nice place to stay
- 5/5
I didn’t have a kitchen. But everything was great especially the reusable water bottles
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
As a place to sleep it was excellent, as a place to relax in a morning or an evening it is not the place to stay
- 3/5
The room was cold when I arrived about 3:00 PM. So I turned on the heat and it go

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff overall! 11/10 experience!

Great location
- 5/5
Great stay, friendly staff.
- 1/5
I pulled up to the hotel and was told they oversold their rooms. They offered me $50 and an extra $10 for a taxi to their other location, 1 mile away and not at all on the river. I lost my river room, and lost my centralized location which I had planned my whole itinerary around. I was only in Chicago for a day and it was my first time ever visiting, and I had to cancel my museum tour due to the extra time I had to spend walking and riding the train. Instead I slept in a room with a view of a brick wall, literally
- 5/5
I really appreciated my 3-night stay at this clean hotel with extremely nice staff at Front Desk, Guest Service and housekeeping staff + awesome location
- 5/5
Incredible location, simple but efficient setup, compact but comfortable room with surely the best view in town!
- 4/5
There was no kitchen in my room even though my reservation said there was a kitchenette. It wasn’t an issue so I didn’t pursue it. The water station on every floor was epic! Used it several times a day. The cleaning staff never cleared a used coffee cup from my room over 3 days, nor did they replace the coffee pods I used even though I was enthusiastically told at reception that all the coffee was free. Just odd. Otherwise, serviceable and clean although decor badly in need of an update.
- 5/5
Very convenient
- 3/5
My room wasn't very clean and very dusty, I would described it as “picked up” rather than clean. They never cane to clean our room at all. The location was great, and getting free parking was a steal or else I would have stayed elsewhere. The staff were really helpful and friendly and I really appreciated that.
- 5/5
Great location, front desk staff was very friendly and professional. Convenient parking.
- 2/5
heater was broken it was freezing and staff was extremely rude
- 4/5
They couldn't change me that night but did the next day. Staff was gracious and friendly. Location was spot on for walking Riverwalk, Millennial park and Michigan Avenue
- 5/5
Amazing staff and the executive room was great except it doesn’t have any view
- 5/5
Lovely room with a river view. I would stay here againz
- 4/5
Great location and wonderful staff made this stay enjoyable overall. The hotel is conveniently situated close to everything we needed, and the team was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. However, the lack of air conditioning was a significant downfall and made the room uncomfortable. We were told by staff that the air conditioning hadn't been turned on yet, but the hallways were cool with a noticeable air flow. Staff offered a fan, and still our room was a stagnate 72 degrees. If that’s not a concern for you, it’s still a solid choice thanks to its location and service.
- 3/5
My overall experience at this hotel was alright. However, my flight was delayed for a whole day and so I missed a night, and Club Quarters did not honour my 3 nights stay, so instead, I only had the chance to stay for 2 nights and pay for the entire initial 3 nights. They were not understanding that this was out of my control and did not make any effort to accommodate this delay that was due to weather.
- 5/5
Was a great room for the night. Close to my concert venue and very clean. Staff were all polite and helpful
- 4/5
Breakfast coupon for the restaurant next door was nice. Rooms were small. Elevators completely suck. So slow and only 2, spent a ton of time waiting. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
$30 parking offsite a couple blocks down with in/out privileges self service check in great price for the location & friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean room and we got an early check in. Friendly staff. Great location
- 4/5
Good location. Walkable to the Bean and Art museums. Next to River so get that river view room for a lovely view.
- 1/5
We were initially booked at the main location on the River Walk, but we were then instructed that we would need to move to another nearby location upon arrival. The receptionist told us that the company intentionally overbooks its main location and reserves some capacity at other locations to entice customers. BE VERY WARY OF THE BAIT AND SWITCH. If you stay at this hotel (I highly advise against it), I recommend calling ahead to verify that you are actually booked at the correct location.
- 1/5
Poorly maintained property. Staff were apologetic but could not assist as the room chairs were torn and was poorly maintained. We booked out and lost a nights accommodation costs without staying there. We are still waiting on a refund from hotels.com for the balance of the accommodation as promised at the property.
- 5/5
Very convenient downtown location. Simple, clean rooms. Parking located in a public garage a couple of blocks away, within walking distance. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
I’ve been staying here for almost 6 weeks now every week, the reason I say there everybody is very helpful very polite. They go out of their way to help you get to where you need to be, which is in your room when your first check in. The rooms are very clean. All service is outstanding.
- 5/5
Hotel was centrally located easy to get around without a uber
- 5/5
Hey, the room was nice and clean but showed signs of wear and peeling paint. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was helpful and kind. Location is awesome. Chicago is a very walkable city, the hotel is located right on the river with nice views.
- 5/5
Me gustó, excelente ubicación, café expreso en la habitación, botellas para rellenar en el bebedero de cada piso de la habitación, housekeeping service excelente.
- 5/5
the desk clerk is a gem, he very politely & quickly checked me in & was very helpful answering my questions. outstanding customer service
- 1/5
Parking, ticket was not validated. I was told it was 35 for self park. It was actually doble de amount.
- 5/5
From the front desk staff to the valet at the end! Such a great stay! Thank you!
- 2/5
I was expecting a small room based on the description and price but was surprised that my 3rd floor room had no window, no thermostat, and a damaged headboard. Thankfully this was a one night, brief stay.
- 5/5
The staff was very attentive to everything we needed and had questions about !
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly, courteous staff
- 4/5
Place was in prime location. If you are on the lower floors you may be looking into another building/no light or view. But I would stay again based on the location to must see attractions and the subway.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room -- staff fairly responsive. Great location for seeing the sights! Right on the river trail, walking distance to Art Institute, Millennium Park, Chicago Theater -- the room was advertised with a kitchenette -- but it turned out to be just a microwave and fridge. A kitchenette usually involves a cooktop and some cookware provided. So maybe a more accurate description. But otherwise it was fine.
- 5/5
Great location and reasonably priced. Small but cozy rooms.

- 5/5
Perfect location great room for the price
- 5/5
Great stay, room was clean, location was perfect for my stay.
- 5/5
great location
- 4/5
It was fairly clean, staff was helpful
- 3/5
Room was filthy with hairs in the shower and bathroom. Overall outdated with slow elevators. That said, location was excellent and in the middle of many great Chicago attractions. Front desk and maintenance (toilet didn’t work when I checked in) were cordial.
- 5/5
Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of area. Hotel was perfectly clean and right in down town next to river so everything was walking distance. Great price
- 5/5
Perfectly located. The staff was amazing. Room was clean. Will stay again
- 5/5
Land and lake was dope! The greeting dude was awesome as well, great experience, great location in downtown Chicago. Two thumbs way up :)
- 5/5
Loved my stay.
- 5/5
Great location if you wanna walk around downtown. No free parking though. Room is super clean! No breakfast, just coffee. Affordable room for its location. Staff were nice when I called about checking in super late.
- 5/5
Great customer service, a hidden Gem!
- 4/5
This hotel has a great staff and great location. It definitely felt older and the rooms were very small.

Clean room, carpet is a bit old, all together great place to stay for the price. Small but comfortable room. There are vending and ice machines on 9th floor and basement and ice buckets are available next to them. Hotel is at a great location to anything downtown. Easy check-in and out with digital/electronic option.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was great
- 5/5
Location is superb and unbeatable for the price! The room itself is a little small however, keep in mind the building that the hotel is in is actually the smallest by width in of buildings along the Chicago River!
- 4/5
It’s a convenient location.

Rooms were small but clean. They were prompt on room service needs. Valet was good. Great location to food food and boat tours.
- 5/5
Great location, wonderful helpful staff, welcoming ambiance
- 5/5
Stayed several times. Cleanliness is always top notch. Rooms can sometimes be on the smaller side. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Parking is so so. It would be much better if there was a valet service.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and there were a lot of food and entertainment places nearby.
- 4/5
Great downtown location. The room was clean, but the hotel was old. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is old. The elevators are very slow and small. The room had a great view, but was small. The toilet was loud.

- 5/5
Overall great
- 4/5
Free laundry there but we didn't use it. Ice maker was only on one floor and if you didn't hit the right elevator would have to jump onto one of the other ones to get from room floor to the lowest level for the ice. Staff was nice and made check in and check out smooth. Bed was comfy. We had a good laugh because the room, bathroom, and even the hallway made us feel like we were on a ship. Only downfalls we had was the tv wouldn't connect to our phone to stream and we didn't have control of the air in our room. We turned it all the way down in hopes it would cool the room and it didn't move from 70 degrees. You can turn the fan on but it runs all the time and wasn't quiet. We got overheated during the night so it made our days long. The hotel is clean and totally worth the amount.
- 5/5
Great hotel, if you are in Chicago dont look anywhere else just book it. Perfect location Perfect room. Service is great.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
A super cool 100-year-old building in the heart of Chicago. We couldn't have been happier.
- 5/5
Can’t pick a better location than this!! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the river view room. You won’t regret it!!!
- 5/5
Love the location, laundry facilities are excellent, location perfect right next to the riverwalk, we always stay here when in town, view from our room great, enjoyed watching the river turn green no issues, see you nrxt time.
- 5/5
Small room but did the job
- 4/5
Clean room. Courteous staff. Had access to microwave, a fridge and utensils. Would stay there again and recommend friends.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Nice hotel close to everything , the rooms are small not as clean. I still recommend this hotel, because have a nice river view.
- 5/5
Staff were always friendly and professional. Very clean and neat space. Shower was a little cramped and outdated but clean. Views are nice. Laundry room is super convenient and affordable. Location is extremely walkable, in the heart of Chicago. My only complaint was that the parking was a few blocks around the corner. But I had free parking and for downtown Chicago it wasn’t bad, just cold in my case. Definitely would recommend this hotel
- 4/5
Everything was really good, the location and the hotel are great. The only thing i didn't like was that i was told the parking lot they recommend was 30$ per 24 hours and i ended up paying 60$ so if i knew this i would pay the 70$ they charge per valet parking and avoid walking 4 blocks. Still Will recommend the hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was accessible and easy going I really had a good time and felt super safe!
- 5/5
Go here regularly. Staff is great. Bedside table needs refinishing…bath trash can too.
- 5/5
I checked in on Fiday night and the front desk was so welcoming
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Convenient location to Michigan Ave. Historic hotel that retains some of that charm with modern room renovations.
- 5/5
Location & hotel staff
- 4/5
The club quarters is very nice and wonderfully located. The concierge staff was so accommodating and helpful and I loved the views from my hotel room on the 33rd floor. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 is that it is an old building so you can see the wear and tear, the water wasn’t as hot for shower and the heat machine was so loud when it kicked on. Other than that I will absolutely be staying here again because I did enjoy my overall stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, very helpful staff. Since we would all be there for five days, they upgraded all of our rooms so we had more space. They extended our check out so we could freshen up before our flight after our conference
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
The location was nice and centralized near the riverwalk and close to many shops.
- 4/5
Very nice staff
- 3/5
They try to be a nice hotel. However, rooms are extremely small. Bathroom is not updated or nice. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. This is the first negative review I have ever done on a hotel. Not sure how it got the positive reviews. Perhaps bots or something.

Staff was unfriendly, no amenities

I recommend good experiences
- 3/5
Rooms are small but great for a single person .
- 3/5
Bed was two twins pushed together, not a king as advertised, walls thin, neighbors playing loud music until 1:00am had to call down to desk twice to ask them to address this.
- 2/5
Rooms nor lobby or areas aren’t similar as in the pictures, really small rooms, not well maintained, old not well maintained, far less than ideal.
- 5/5
Seamless check-in and check-out with helpful staff. Will definitely recommend

Helpful staff! Great view of the river from our room.
- 4/5
Room was fine, staff originally booked me in the River hotel which I know is the same building but I specifically booked Club Quarters to be on a higher floor so there would be less noise from the city while I sleep on my business trip. After asking the staff they were able to make the change.

Super fast and easy check in / out experience, amazing location and very affordable
- 4/5
The room itself was nice and we liked the kitchenette style. It was clean and spacious. The parking was a little inconvenient if you choose the off site parking. The front desk also let a friend check in without notifying me which was a little disappointing. I never gave them an alternative name but they still let them check in without calling or notifying me at all.
- 5/5
Great location & everyone was very helpful. Needed a fridge for medication & they set us up in a room with one.
- 5/5
Pedro and front office staff made our stay excellent. Return customer love the location, room quality and value overall. Room size and features make this our first choice in the city
- 5/5
Everything was awsome
- 5/5
Great view of the River
- 5/5
Very clean room, extremely helpful staff (especially Ron!).
- 5/5
Had such a great stay here! The staff, location and cleanliness of the hotel made for a great stay on our 4 day 3 night trip! It is centrally located to all the great spots in Chicago!
- 5/5
Everything was clean. Room was wonderful with an amazing view of the river. Its in the middle of either main areas. Staff was more than friendly and always had a smile. Highly recomend for a night or two in the city.
- 5/5
The staff was GREAT, room was clean but small.
- 4/5
The room was a great price for New Year’s Eve . The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was valet was full
- 5/5
Great location. Rooms are perfect. People from front desk to maids are kind and always helpful. I stay here whenever im in Chicago.
- 3/5
The man at check in wasn’t particularly helpful and there was no coffee in my room. The hotel needs a little TLC, it’s getting a little shabby in some areas. It was clean though.

Everything was excellent
- 5/5
Very nice views.

Excellent
- 5/5
Laundry was easy to use.
- 4/5
Room was clean. The toilet clog and had to ask them 3 times to fix it. The heat in the room was broken they gave us a space heater
- 5/5
Room is very nice and the service was excellent.
- 5/5
Friendly and knowledgeable employees who will go out of their way to assist guests. Clean and quiet rooms even though it's located in the heart of Chicago.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Excellent location, right next to the Riverwalk with amazing views! Just minutes from millennium park
- 5/5
Got the best views in Chicago.
- 5/5
Clean room...friendly staff
- 4/5
Easy check in. Ready to upgrade. I love how central it is and the water stations on each floor. This is our second time to stay here and will do it again!
- 5/5
Only thing missing is a safe in the room.
- 3/5
Was charge $16 for something I'm not sure but my room was reserved and paid but I got hit with and separate charge
- 4/5
However, we were placed on the 40th floor in the only room on that floor with the elevator directly behind the bed. Every time the elevator moved, we heard loud mechanical noises coming straight through the wall behind our heads. The hotel was aware of this issue and still chose to place us in that room. When I finally complained around 11:00 pm, they offered to move us. By that time, I thought they were working on fixing the issue and hoped it would stop, so we stayed. Unfortunately, it didn’t, and we didn’t get a good night’s sleep.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, modern finishes in beautifully restored vintage building in great Loop location next to Chicago River
- 5/5
The room was very clean, everything was prepared for arrival. Only issue that was found dealt with the coffee machine, which was minor. Someone left old pods in the brewing part of the machine, which caused a jam.
- 3/5
The room you get is not the room pictured. Paid for the upgraded room but got a small room. They said it is facing the river so it is upgraded even though the room is the same size. Also you need to turn the heat on yourself. It will not be on when you get the room.

Great location and accommodation service. We could the rooms to be old and noisy. Would recommend to anyone on a budget wanted a good area to stay!

Very clean and the staff was wonderful!
- 5/5
The room was beautiful the stay was amazing
- 5/5
We loved the hotel, parking was a bit of a ways off.
- 3/5
The sofa couch sheets weren’t as clean as we hoped & we had to ask for new ones.
- 4/5
The room was very small but clean. Bathroom is nice. Elevators are extremely slow! Staff is friendly
- 4/5
Don’t have restaurant
- 3/5
I would make sure the shampoo and conditioner they offer in the room is full because mine were emptied. I would like to make sure I get fresh towels every day and not have to ask for them and I don’t want them saying I owe them money when I pay them completely off as soon as I got there, that’s all.. other than that. The staff was wonderful and the room was great.
- 5/5
Front desk for extra blankets. Jock was at the checkout desk he went outside to grab a cab for us and even loaded our luggage!!!! Excellent customer service, we will return again next Christmas shopping season. The

We were looking for a hotel that would keep us close to everything; we're a couple that was looking forward to walking all over downtown Chicago-and this hotel fit the bill very well. The hotel itself has an older historic feel to it. The room was pretty basic but we weren't looking for lap of luxury nor modern fixings: we were looking for a comfortable place to stay where we could unwind after a long day in the city-and Club Quarters Wacker hotel nailed it! The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was small but clean and with excellent water pressure. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, microwave and suitable sink. The living space was small but there was just 2 of us so we were absolutely fine. The reception desk/system was EXCELLENT-very responsive and friendly! When I made the reservation 1 week in advance, I asked for a high floor with river views and we got it! The location of our room on the 36th floor overlooking the Chicago River really was amazing! Maybe other's stay experience may vary, but considering what we paid and all that we received, we are extremely happy with our stay. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a comfortable stay with the basics in an excellent location.

Good condition, nice rooms. No dedicated parking, was given a map to park 10 blocks away. Address given for google maps leads you to the sub level street under the hotel rather than the above ground level in front of the hotel
- 5/5
The. Room was clean, comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
- 5/5
Clean room. Convenient
- 3/5
Room was okay, couldn’t open the window
- 5/5
Room was super cute. The staff was top tier friendly :)
- 3/5

- 5/5
We enjoyed our weekend stay at Club Quarters very much. Gorgeous 1920's building and our room was very nice as well. Perfect location for EVERYTHING. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Great location, close to everything! Very nice and super friendly staff. Will book again
- 5/5
Very kind staff, small but clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view! Great location, quiet. Checked all the boxes for my overnight trip!!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless, the staff was always friendly, and we truly enjoyed our time here
- 3/5
The main office entrance and elevators looked ran down. The rooms are TINY, and Club Room views are minimal (not the best views.) Beds are kind of uncomfortable. Good budget friendly if you want to just go for Downtown Chicago, but do not expect too much. You get what you pay for here.
- 1/5
No A/C
- 5/5
Staff were extremely nice. The room was nice.
- 4/5
Great location. Super friendly staff. Will book again!
- 3/5
elevator gets stuck
- 5/5
A good place for stay
- 5/5
The staff were so kind and helpful, from directions to sharing places to eat, they were brilliant! Plus, it is close to every thing!
- 4/5
The staff is excellent and friendly. Great location. I had to cancel my last night because of the winter storm warning and got a full refund and so happy about it. Rooms are clean enough but very outdated. I had to ask for them to replace my sheets and waited a little too long for that. But overall good experience.
- 5/5
My view to the river was so beautiful. I truly loved this place, i would highly recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Amazing and friendly staff, perfect location nice rooms and views.
- 5/5
Great Location! 2nd floor lounge with coffee was a nice bonus! Rooms were small but very clean. Would stay again!
- 4/5
The front desk staff were very helpful but it does not make up for the fact that we had to change room 3 times! Despite booking a superior room for 2 the bed was practically against the wall in the first room so I asked if we could change room but whilst the staff were happy for us to do so the 2nd room was worse than the first - absolutely no storage space other than a wardrobe smaller than the average broom cupboard with the bathroom being no better - you had to avoid stepping into the toilet when coming out of the shower! Finally asked if we could be upgraded to a junior suite which the hotel was happy to do. The suite was much better in size and had much better storage the only downsides being no view (we had booked a room with a view) and an unusual bathroom set up with the wash basin being outside opposite the bathroom as opposed to the bathroom itself - never seen that before! That being said I would stay again although if I did I would pay a little more and pay for a suite from the start
- 5/5
Location and value for the money is very high
- 2/5
I also was disappointed. When I made the reservation, I paid an additional upgrade fee for a "room with a view." The view from my window was of the wall of an adjacent building. Finally, I did not receive my free breakfast coupon during registration and called the front desk to inquire as I was preparing to check out and have breakfast. The front desk person I spoke to said she would have someone bring the breakfast coupons up the the room which took a lot of time. I won't be staying at Club Quarters again.
- 5/5
Excellent and attentive staff, clean property and friendly environment.
- 5/5
Great. Comforting and relaxing

Great place to stay in central Chicago! Location is fantastic! The staff were helpful and cheerful. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. Great bed! View of the river is the best!
- 5/5
room was clean ! hotel floor was very quiet !

Great staff!!
- 4/5
Staff very helpful. Got me extra coffee, turned in my purse I left in desk by accident. Room clean. Room small but workable. Bed felt like full size and not queen. Comfortable but tight for 2 adults. Location excellent.

the staff were very helpful answer all our questions and we were in a great location near the parade and fireworks. The room was clean and fantastic.
- 5/5
Yes the room was clean and nice. Staff was amazing and accommodating. I would recommend the hotel to everyone. I’ll definitely come back.
- 5/5
The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The room was dusty compared to previous visit. Dirty bathroom fan. Enjoy the coffee on 2nd floor. I forgot toothpaste. Appreciated being able to grab a tube from guest closet.
- 5/5
Staff support and friendliness was amazing. Room was small but clean, quiet and very comfortable. Security in the lobby was appreciated. Rinnie at check-in was super helpful and went above and beyond.
- 5/5
This hotel was centrally located to everything we wanted to do. It was easy to walk to the Michigan Ave. shops, Navy Pier, Chicago Theater, the river, and Millennium Park. The staff was friendly. Rooms were a little small but updated and clean. They have a complimentary coffee lounge area on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed everything about our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Nice location and view from room.
- 5/5
No breakfast, great location
- 5/5
Staff and location were great.
- 2/5
Room was tiny and the mattress was old and uncomfortable. Left and did not spend the night.
- 5/5
Exceptionally friendly staff especially the especially the gentleman that was working 11-21 at 7pm. He went anove and beyond and was one of her best parts of my visit to Chicago.

Amazing staff. Valet parking was so easy

Only one elevator was working and you should probably call and check to see if all the elevators are working before booking. Finding out when you arrive if there's a 30 minute wait to take the elevator up to your room is kind of terrible. We can walk up 14 flights of stairs with your luggage good luck.
- 5/5
I love the location
- 5/5
Great stay! Friendly staff! Greet location and would stay again

Pedro and Tony are so helpful and inviting

Great staff!
- 5/5
The front desk staff are amazing! They are courteous and kind. Pedro went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable with our accommodations. He treated every guest special and although they were busy- he ensured that he was personable.
- 3/5
The best parts about the stay was the convenient location and the view of the river. The roms are in dire need of updating/refreshing and the wait time for the elevator can be long if one or the other is out of order( which was the during my stay there)
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, GREAT location, and comfy beds.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 2/5
It is extremely difficult to find the hotel, and valet parking is confusing
- 5/5
We knew when we booked the room that it is smaller than the typical hotel room; we anticipated the compact nature of the space. It reminded us a little of a larger cruise ship room. Nicely appointed and very modern (but with a throwback vibe), we were plenty comfortable. Our room had a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, and some plates and flatware! The shower was plenty warm and had higher-end amenities. The bed was very comfortable (even if it was just a queen). We really appreciated the refillable bottled water and the living room downstairs with a fancy coffee machine and other amenities. We were very happy with the staff - the hotel has a front desk, but also uses kiosks for check-in, which I enjoyed using. When we called for the room to be serviced, they always responded quickly and even washed the dishes one day. Our time in Chicago was lovely, and part of that was being able to stay in this hotel!
- 5/5
Spacious clean room
- 5/5
Smallish room, otherwise pretty good.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and easy access
- 5/5
2. Amazing locality 3. Sweet staff 4. Easy and affordable parking options
- 3/5
staff was really nice. room was small with small window. however that small window had so much noise, could hear people on wacker drive on the street, car alarms, and people walking through the hallways. VERY NOISY. barely slept.
- 5/5
Amazing view of the river from our room. Within walking distance to everything we were looking forward to seeing. Ronnie at the front desk was welcoming and answered all our inquiries.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff! The only issue was that there was a buildup of dust around the beds. Overall, highly recommended
- 5/5
Just stayed one night, but it was wonderful!
- 5/5
Hotel was great, from check in to check out. Stayed for 5 nights. Very comformatble bed. Great location for shopping and walking. The only feedback would be that the A/C wasnt strong enough to cool my room.
- 5/5
Love this hotel and many stays here great people and great location
- 5/5
Had a great river view
- 5/5
It was an amazing experience overall. As soon as we walked into the lobby the nice young man at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Made us feel very safe and welcome yet super taken care of. I would definitely book with them again because of this.
- 4/5
Perfect area along the river.
- 5/5
For visitors driving to the hotel for the first time, note that the hotel entrance is on the UPPER street level.
- 5/5
Great location, helpful staff, nice rooms and great coffee. We love Club Quarters/Wacket.
- 5/5
Clean property, friendly staff. Will book again
- 5/5
Seamless check in. Staff was available anytime we
- 3/5
Check in process did not work properly
- 5/5
Very good staff
- 5/5
Great service and pricing
- 2/5
When we were checked in to our room somebody else was already staying in that room, which is a huge security concern. Also, no air conditioning and when we called to ask the woman at the front desk was rude and told us they didn’t have it on since we were in the colder months, but if you look at the reviews there are complaints about no ac from 4 months ago. The biggest thing was the security concern.
- 5/5
Great location!!
- 5/5
This hotel is in a great location. Only con was that no one cleaned our room. Not sure if we were supposed to request it, bit other than that everything was great.
- 2/5
TV in our room did not work and could not be fixed. Countertops were not clean and the room was very dated.
- 5/5
Check in staff was amazing.
- 5/5
We waited 30 minutes to get into our room. The room with a view that we booked wasn’t ready by 3:30. The doors are very close together, so when the neighboring room opens or closes their door, it feels like someone is trying to open yours — it kept waking me up. On the bright side, the free coffee and convenient downtown location were great.
- 5/5
Got an upgrade after a scheduling mishap. Great coffee machine in the lounge
- 5/5
We had a very pleasant experience staying here. The room was small but very clean. Friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Nice view. Convenient with so many stores surrounded. Friendly staff and clean rooms
- 2/5
One elevator was out of service. Room view is a bunch of dumpsters. Valet took a long time - sometimes there wasn't even a valet at the stand. For the price... you're paying for location. Would not book again.
- 4/5
Room too small
- 2/5
Good location. Nice hotel room. But the elevator didn’t work at all the entire trip. There wasn’t any urgency to fix it
- 3/5
Customer service was poor everything was self service Elevators were broken
- 5/5
Will stay again
- 2/5
Very very old rooms. 10 min wait for elevators. Great location.
- 5/5
Great, walkable location to everything we wanted to see in Chicago. This hotel was even featured on our architecture river tour!
- 5/5
Walk in shower/no tub.
- 5/5
Great place near Riverwalk and walkable to Art Institute, theaters, and Millenium Park.
- 1/5
.
- 3/5
Positive is that it’s in a great location. The negative was the state of the room. Very dated, AC didn’t cool off room properly, and refrigerator made a god awful noise every time the compressor came on causing me to have to unplug it.
- 1/5
Hot dirty carpet
- 5/5
The staff were incredibly helpful and the property is is in a great location, apart from being across from trump tower :-/ The rest of the area is great! The rooms are clean and the cold bottled water refills were really helpful.
- 3/5
Very close to everything
- 5/5
Great rooms-perfect location
- 5/5
Outlets didn't work properly the first night, but it was quickly resolved! Overall, super nice hotel and would stay here again! LOVED the lighting features of the room.
- 4/5
Room was clean and service was excellent. The bathroom was not that clean and possibly moldy because of humid retention
- 3/5
Great location, but room was small and had a number of inconveniences. We had about 12” walkway around the bed and there was nowhere to open our suitcase other than to put it on the bed anytime we needed something out of it. The bathroom was also small with the toilet literally in the doorway to the bathroom. The toilet paper roll was mounted behind the toilet so you couldn’t reach it when on the toilet. Also, the sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain.
- 5/5
I like everything about my overnight stay on this property.
- 5/5
Perfectly located in downtown Chicago near all sightseeing adventures. Oh may I state the downtown area was spotless.
- 5/5
Valet is expensive, but worth it!
- 4/5
Quality
- 5/5
Sufficiently varied!
- 5/5
The check in was smooth. The room was a bit small but it was as expected for the price
- 5/5
Everything is nearby. We had a great time.
- 2/5
Well I asked for utensils and staff told me to deliver to my room and I wait until second day morning and I still don’t have it :)
- 2/5
Location is very good in the Downtown area close to everything but that is the only thing good about this Hotel for 300 dollars a day, it was an awful experience. First I had reserved and paid for an upgraded room with a river view when I arrived I got a cubby hole of a room with a twin bed for me and my wife. I was very disappointed to see that and requested the room that i reserved they said sorry we are sold out but will give you the actual reserved room next day. Which they did but was still small. It felt like I was staying in a hotel in 1980's as the toiletries included a solid soap and water like shampoo. Ther is no amenities there or parking on site. there is a valet parking for 78 dollars a day otherwise the closest parking garage is 1/2 a mile away. No breakfast no Pool. We were disappointed with this hotel.
- 1/5
One of the only two elevators was down all weekend and apparently it had been down for several days before according to staff.
- 5/5
There was very clean everywhere , starff are very nice and welcoming with smile. Also the location is amazing. We had a great time with Club Quarters Hotel.
- 5/5
The location is amazing, ask for the river view room, it’s stunning!! It’s a little noisy at night with you have problem with that.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location and the staff was excelent.
- 5/5
Are the rooms small, yes - but you know that up front! The river view room had the best view and makes up for that, besides when you could be out and about why be in the room other than to nap/sleep. From the hotel, everything is within walking distance you could need. The staff was very friendly. Only note is the ice is in the basement, basically - and you can only get there by elevator 1. Also, the free fresh water was a very nice touch - but I was confused what to do with the bottle after!
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
We loved the area!
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful
- 4/5
Great staff and incredible location. My room and bathroom were quite small (which is ok)' but just ok in terms of cleanliness. Only two elevators-not good. Better options in this area.
- 5/5
Great Service
- 5/5
Upon arrival the staff was very attentive & had us checked in within 2 min. Tony went above & beyond & upgraded our room which made our stay perfect! Area is perfect! My only complaint is the water was not hot but other than that I would stay again!
- 5/5
The location is amazing right in-front of Trump Tower, along with all the other good amenities and super friendly staff.
- 1/5
The elevators did not work while I stayed there. So 30 floors worth of people had to share 1 elevator. Which caused the elevator wait time to be 30 minutes minimum and when if did actually arrive it was most likely full of people. The room was clean but small and cramped and our wall lamp would flash and flicker at random. I was not happy with my stay on August 27-30 and I told the front desk. So they said they would refund me one night which is roughly $380. It is currently September 18th and I still haven’t received my refund even after calling once a week to check on it. I still haven’t seen my refund and they keep telling me it’s on the way and my bank can’t even see it pending. So this hotel is full of liars who make empty promises. This hotel single handedly ruined my holiday weekend with its huge list inconveniences. Making me late to events and reservations. very displeased with the service of this establishment. I spent over $1000 to stay 3 nights and the lights barely work, and I have to wait 30+ minutes for an over crowded elevator. Making me late for my vacation excursions and they don’t even care enough to reimburse me the 1 night they said they would. The hotel wasn’t worth the money nor was the service. And the didn’t refund me like they said they would and that’s a big problem for me.
- 4/5
Elevator was broken
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The room was small, but the view was unbelievable.
- 4/5
A nightmare to get to by GPS. Kept taking us underground. Great location once we’d left the car parked up.
- 4/5
The air conditioner was very loud.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Very easy check in
- 5/5
About my fourth different time in two years at this property. Staff is always on point and has accommodated if any hiccups happened, easy, check-in, etc..
- 5/5
Clean room and very helpful staff
- 5/5
The Only place we stay when we’re in Chicago! Location, friendly staff (thanks Pedro!), clean and comfortable rooms, and amazing river views!
- 5/5
Very friendly and clean
- 4/5
Easy access, elevator was down so getting to the 12th floor was difficult, but I was only there for a night.
- 4/5
$76 a night parking is ridiculous.
- 5/5
The stay at this hotel was fantastic and the service was absolutely amazing! I would advise people to read the parking situation well in advance and try to call ahead of your stay to figure out how and where to go. We arrived there and realized cheaper parking (which we didn’t mind walking) was off-site about 6 mins away. Unfortunately, our TV did not work which sucked when we came back to the hotel and wanted to unwind after a packed day. Majority of the channels were black screens and my volume button didn’t work. Unfortunately maintenance was not able to resolve the issue. Reviews said people complained about the noise, and it’s noisy but it’s Chicago so what do you expect? We didn’t mind the noise, but there definitely was noise throughout the night. Overall, my wife and I loved our stay a ton! The location was absolutely amazing with nothing being more than a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
- 5/5
Really small room, but great, excellent location. Worth it.
- 3/5
The location was perfect (10/10), but unfortunately one of the elevators was out of service during our stay. Getting to our room was a hassle, it took about 30 minutes each time we wanted to go up or down.
- 4/5
Great location. Comfortable amenities. Great price. Quiet in the rooms for a peaceful rest. Bed less than comfortable. Mattress not very supportive. Would be inclined to NOT stay again simply because the bed was so uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Great hotel and excellent location. Rooms were clean and complimentary water was nice. Would stay again and worth upgrade for river view
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
The room was small and clean with a view of the river (but too close to the elevator). With only 2 elevators and 1 not working, getting in and out too way too long. The coffee/tea machine also did not work and the air conditioning in the gym did not work properly. Luckily the property is located in a great location which is walkable to many places and restaurants.
- 1/5
Super outdated and smelly. Carpet smells like it hasn’t been changed or cleaned in YEARS. The AC in the room was super noisy and furniture was faded and falling apart.
- 5/5
Shampoo and conditioner, and you left me to use my sheets and towels for a reasonable period of time without dragging them off. Good on you
- 5/5
It was accessible, clean, safe, friendly staff.
- 5/5
The cleanest of the room and the location 👌
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
There was only one elevator working during our stay, which caused longer wait times.
- 5/5
Awesome stay and location. Loved the room. Elevator was a challenge
- 5/5
Really appreciated the refillable water bottles!
- 5/5
Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room also had a beautiful view of the river walk and the location is perfect for anyone relying on public transportation. On a side note PLEASE FIX YOUR ELEVATOR IT WAS A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE.
- 2/5
Elevators were not working properly. Staff had to manually run the one working elevator. Had to call to lobby several times to get picked up. Elevator skipped us several times on each trip down. They knew we were there but stopped at other floors filling up before they came back to get us. Location is good. But very noisey all night long
- 3/5
One elevator was not working so take long time to up and down
- 5/5
The layout of the room gives it a feel of being at home. We also enjoyed the complimentary espresso machine and water!
- 1/5
I frequently stay at this property and this past stay confirmed that the property should not be accepting guests. There is one working elevator for the entire property, the room was dirty and completely disheveled. This happened on my last stay and I accepted it, this last stay confirmed there is no plan to improve.

Loved free water station on each floor. Room is quiet and linens are super clean. Nespresso coffee was so good.

Great location but 1 elevator was out leaving only one elevator for the upper floors. This led to occasional long wait times although the staff were clearly working hard minimize delays
- 3/5
The elevator was broken and it made keeping a schedule difficult, However the staff was absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10.
- 3/5
Very convenient location. Right in front of Trump Tower and steeps away from Riverwalk and restaurants.

Even at the best of times this hotel only has two small elevators to serve floors 11-42. One was out of service when I stayed so meant waiting for long periods of time or taking the stairs to/from 22nd floor. My room was tired and in desperate need of renovation. But the sheets were perfectly clean and the view from the window was spectacular. Was it worth the money? Probably given the cost of other hotels in the area.

Elevator repair was a pain but the staff handled it perfectly
- 3/5
The staff was amazing. They did their best with the tools they had available. However, the elevator was broken, which led to an average wait time of 20 minutes to get from my room to the lobby. This was inconvenient for me, as my Uber rides were pre-scheduled. Once again, I want to emphasize that the staff was fantastic and deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication.

Rooms are much smaller than shown in pictures. Elevator was out. Quality of room was poor

Robbie was amazing at the front seat when we checked in!! When we checked out the Latino (I am Latina so no one freak out) man was NOT - he had such an attitude. But overall the hotel is good for the price & location. Only one elevator which was very inconvenient but the staff tried to compensate.

Elevator was an issue

One night stay. Reservation staff was very professional and view of my room was excellent!

This hotel had positives and negatives. Our room was adequate for our sleeping and showering needs but in need of some upgrades; soaps, shampoos were quite nice; complimentary water bottles and water in hallways was a blessing with the hot weather; the elevators however were a time eater to say the least; staff were cordial and helpful but the on-your-own electronic check in process and area need some serious attention.

Just was very small and had to go all the way to basement for ice

It is a nice and affordable hotel in the downtown of Chicago. I am not sure why it is 4* hotel, while there is no fridge in the room. The room is about 200 square feet, it is nice for a day or two days trip. View from window is amazing.

Takes a long time to get your deposit back.
- 5/5
The friendly staff was spectacular. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
The customer service upon checking in was amazing and super accommodating. The hotel was in good shape overall, but when we requested a room cleaning twice, it was not done until the third request.

Nothing is unique about this property, beds rooms are super small and the beds are made for toddler.
- 4/5
Cleanliness, water hydration stations, and a wallet key are great features.

My last visit they had a nice Italian restaurant. I still think it’s a good spot but I won’t be visiting Chicago again until it’s safer and cleaner. Lots of trash and boarded up places that used to be shops. Amtrak cancelled our train home to Michigan. But we were able to take the South Shore train to MI City where my husband picked us all up and drove 2 hours further to get home. The front desk again helped assure us they were there to help. Overall,I would pass on Chicago until they get things sorted out.

Nice place and amazing view

The woman at the front desk was always very helpful and had a smile.

We loved this hotel for multiple reasons, location being number one for sure! Right next to the river, tons of dining and shopping options, and a few blocks from the park. We also loved the historic beauty of the Hotel, and how lovely the staff was! We will definitely stay here again!

This will now be my go-to stay whenever I’m in Chicago! The staff was amazing from my parking confusion (totally user error) to upgrading my room so I could have a view of the river. The location cannot be beat, everything is within walking distance.

Staff was friendly, accommodating and had wonderful recommendations

It was great, all around
- 5/5
It is a conveniently located property to everything you may want to do. Close connections to the "L", busses and other transportation options. Restaurant options are great as well.

Checkin was great the gentleman was friendly, helpful and pleasant to deal with. The room was just what we needed after a day of traveling as well as right in the center of everywhere we were looking to go. Walking distance.

Small but clean, great views of the river
- 4/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. The rooms were comparatively small. The amenities are limited.
- 5/5
Great place across from the river. Easy access to all the great places
- 5/5
Fabulous location, Happy helpful staff, great place to stay!

Towels were soiled. Chips crumbs under bed (we had to clean it upon arrival). TV didn’t work. Lamps in room didn’t work. Elevators took a million years but that’s understandable. Parking was non-existent. We had to park in a parking garage but that’s fine I guess.
- 5/5
Location is so central and more affordable than nearby hotels. The room was small and outdated but it was safe, central and functional.

We had a great experience. The hotel is in the best location, walking distance to everything. Staff very friendly, helpful and made great suggestions. The rooms are a bit small but its in an old building in the middle of the city. Property is well maintained. If you want amenities stay somewhere else.
