Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with guests appreciating the free parking and friendly staff, but expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of working Wi-Fi, broken elevators, and absence of breakfast. Some guests also reported issues with room cleanliness and comfort.

No breakfast was provided. There were no bars of soap at the bathroom sink. The in-rooom coffee was only 2 packets of decaf coffee. There was no regular coffee or sugar or creamers. Most importantly, the AC was on its highest and barely cooled the room. The air it was putting out was barely cool. If it had been really hot outside I don’t think it would have been comfortable at all.
- 2/5
The customer service at check-in was horrible. The lady did not come to the desk and she had guests waiting for over 15 mins. When she arrived at the desk she did not welcome or greet me. When I clarified the purpose of my arrival she told me to “hold on”. She charged my card without explanation of the purpose of the additional charge.

Room AC unit was non functional. However, I enjoy warmer temperatures so I was not going to ask for a different room. However, if my spouse was with me she would not have been happy. AC in room was poor to non-existent.

We were in town for a White Sox , hotel was walking distance to the stadium. The lobby area was freshly remodeled, the room floors are dated . The Wi-Fi not good .

The location. That's it Room was hot when we got there. Didn't have soap or all the towels. TV remote didn't work. Elevators didn't all work and they were very hot inside when they did. It felt like a 2 start $100 motel

The location was good. Close to a Hyde park, and close to the best place I’ve ever eaten; Batter and Berries on State St. Staff was friendly! It was very basic. Housekeeping only upon request, no basic hygiene items, like hand soap. Only one of 3 or 4 elevators worked.

Room was clean but a few scuffs on bathroom sink. Location to China town was excellent too, thats why we chose that hotel. Our air conditioner didn't keep up. We were on the 5th floor, it was kind if stuffy but not unbearable. Room 551. Elevator was kind of shaky too. Bathroom shampoo and soap dispenser were just sitting in the tub, not in the wall hangers. Overall it was decent though.

It was close to public transportation I had high hopes for this hotel, but my experience fell well below expectations. The room was noticeably unclean, with dirt and grime along the edges. Even small details were neglected like the toilet paper rolls were already half-used, which felt unsanitary and careless. The customer service was equally disappointing. After waiting in line four separate times, the staff member was dismissive and rushed me rather than offering genuine assistance. At one point she told me to stand aside because she had “a lot of work to do,” leaving me waiting another 15 minutes before receiving any help. To make matters worse, the elevators were progressively going out of service throughout my stay. The last one still running felt unsafe, it shook noticeably when reaching our floor and the doors were slow to open. That’s a serious safety concern. Finally, the room itself was misrepresented. I booked specifically for a room with two beds and a full couch. What I got was a small, cramped sofa, nowhere close to what was advertised. Overall, this stay was not worth the cost. There are far better options in Chicago for the price.

The bed and TV out of 4 elevators, only one of them is functioning, I shouldn't have to ask for a face towel. No microwave in the room. The toilet tips to the side. the smaller parking lot has no lights at night.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast wasn't offered. Coffee on main floor was always available but only basic creamer. Flavored creamer would be a nice touch. No microwave in room but there are 2 on main floor. Although free breakfast is a perk, the absence of it got us out the door to see the city.
- 3/5
The best part was definitely the front desk lady. She was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful during our stay. Her amazing customer service truly made the experience even better Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing. The entire hotel smelled strongly like weed, and our room was not clean — there was hair everywhere on the bathroom floor and even on the bedsheets. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement.

We paid hundreds of dollars to stay at this hotel for ONE night and ended up not even being able to check in because we aren’t 21 even though we’re both legal adults. We have contacted this establishment multiple times in attempt to get a refund but we’ve gotten no response.

The room was spacious. Close to the Train and public transportation. Room 428. The shampoos were open and ripped off the wall sockets. The wall in the bathroom was moldy and bulging. Still use a shower curtain which were kinda stained at the bottom. Some hair strands that were long (both of us were males)

Great location next to a bus stop. Cheap, given that parking was involved. Big comfy beds in a spacious room. I wasn't entirely sure how to work the telly. Everything feels very dated and unloved, and there's no breakfast, but you really can't argue with the value, location and free parking.

I didn't see breakfast mentioned as an option. I'm the hotel was in need of an update. The overall needed updating in the rooms and hallways. The online photos were nice and the hotel itself did not live up to the actual property. The staff however helpful lacked life and enthusiasm. My wake up call for example was forgotten and overlooked consumed by other tasks of the receptionist.

Reasonable price and free parking. Staff is always helpful, polite and accommodating. The staff here is this property's biggest asset. Blankets are too thin to provide any warmth. We were able to get extra blankets but they were honestly worse. Very rough and scratchy They no longer serve breakfast so the value isn't what it used to be.

Reasonable prices given Food Convention was on. There is a coffee machine, fridge, tv, iron facilities and hairdryer in the room. Bath and shower also provided. Although there is no restaurant in the hotel or in the immediate area, if you were to bring anything in there is a microwave downstairs available to heat up. A coffee urn is also provided there. I used a taxi to get to my friends in a 5 min journey and used the uber app for Reasonable prices. Would definitely stay here again Nothing. It was perfect for my stay. Clean and comfortable

The only good thing about this hotel is the parking. The rooms are dirty, and they charged me twice. I still haven’t gotten my money back. I do not recommend this hotel for staying at all — find something else.

It's location is great and the parking is acceptable for the price. It's not the perfect hotel but you accept that the lighting is poor they don't change the laundry because of the price. If you are worried about any of the reviews don't book here. If you need a bed to lay down in it does that. The lighting is poor, the carpet is old and outdated. The bathroom soap is just dawn laid out in the corner.

Nothing really. The elevators decided when to work. The television only could be cut off if you unplugged it. The rooms are rated oddly. Just from my room, which was ( STK). but the bed was just a full size bed. Very uncomfortable for 2 big size people. Just about everything....

The location and car parking is only good thing The first room the provide it’s flush didn’t work, I called the front desk they changed room. I didn’t check the heat or ac that time after dinner when I went to the room and try to turn the heater it didn’t work I tried multiple times but it didn’t have any power the I called the front desk they said somebody will come and fix it but no one is there. After some time I tried calling them but they didn’t answer. The room and hotel is stinky and have a strange marijuna smell everywhere. They took 100$ deposits when I checked it. Hopefully i get it back. Not recommended.

I booked this hotel because it was close to the White Sox stadium. I’m not from Chicago so I went in blind. As soon as I pulled up and saw a few people just hanging out in the parking lot smoking, I made the decision to go elsewhere with my daughter. I even saw a guy locking his steering wheel with one of those bar. I’m like “nope, not staying here. Money lost, oh well. My daughter safety over this”. I trusted my gut to take her somewhere safer even if I had to pay for a better and well known hotel. Don’t trust pictures online. Pull up and left.

Decent space, good mirrors and tables for work. The bathroom was a little dirty and run down, as well as visible stains on the bedding. The provided amnesties such as conditioner was out, and the shampoo provided was dawn dish soap.

When I returned from trying to get into my first room unsuccessfully, they re-keyed the cards and gave me a new room. This place was HORRIBLE. The deadbolt on the room door did not work well. The bathroom looked like a run-down motel 6. Lamp cords stretched across the room so that I could fall over them when walking through the room. Of the three elevators in the buillding, only the one at the far back corner worked. On the trek to the elevator, there were a group of people gathered inside and outside an external door. They appeared to be gang-related individuals and were blocking hallways. Clearly, the "card entry only" policy was not in effect. BUT, there was a sign that said guns were not allowed!

The nite lady a nice and fair black lady was available when I checked in was very nice and presentable . She helped made my stay a comfortable one The hotel had a lot of ice machines, ice makers on the 4th floor and the 1st floor restaurant was closed off or not useful or working. I was somewhat disappointed ? at the Hispanics/Lantinos staff or day staff they were doing a lot of talking and consulting with others or having inappropriate conversations.
- 2/5
Close to the city The fact they never gave me my 100$ deposit back. Would never stay here again.

The moment we opened the door of the building it smelled like smokers village. The bathroom in the building is very dirty no napkins and the staff are so unprofessional.i was waiting for someone to talk to me when theres three people just talking and video chatting on the phone. The elevator is shady and looks like it’s about to break on you. When we found our room. It took us multiple times to unlock the door. The door hinges is broken looks like someone was trying to pry into it. We immediately looked at our beds curious because of how bad everything else was before the room. We found a mold on the bed covered by a small towel .the sheets have stains on it.the bed side light was broken and hanging. The bathroom was not flushed theres toilet paper seemed like someone just used it and not cleaned. Shower water was struggling to come out.

Unfortunately I needed to use a plunger ? and my room phone did not work at the time. So I had to go down to the front desk to ask for it and the desk person paid more attention to there personal cellphone than to me and my question.
