Great stay

Bar in the lobby was great. Elevators a bit slow but that was literally my only complaint about the hotel.

staff unhelpful and rude, when I asked what I was being billed for at the beginning of the stay they said just a deposit and then billed me 3 additional times for the hotel stay neither hotel.com or Marriott assisted me. When I called both locations they said to call the other and hung up on me

the room size was bigger than expected. i would say that if you plan to take the metro, get to midway first using the free shuttle and take the orange line. helpful staff.

Check in desk had one (1) poor soul, who was clearly moving slow & concentrating intensely…..betraying the fact that he was new (and left to fend for himself on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend). One elevator was out of commission. The restaurant was swarmed for breakfast & couldn’t keep the mob from getting frustrated by the lack of available warm food (unless you chose to try & toast an English muffin with a toaster that couldn’t warm up a pat of butter if it were placed on the top). Bad all the way around. Avoid this sad hulk of a property that now dishonors the name Marriott.

Great stay for a first time visit in Chicago. Was about 30 minutes from everything but no matter where we went it was traffic.

I DID get charged $25./night for parking in a HUGE surface lot shared by 4 hotels, and I drove around a lot before finding a space pretty far from my hotel.

Transportation to Midway was excellent

I love the overall vibe of the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I just wish the coffee maker are the pods types but it’s not a biggie.

At 1:50 a m. the fire alarms started ringing, and continued for about 2 or 3 minutes until they finally stopped. In the morning, the desk staff had no idea what caused it.

Location was a perfect distance to the airport, and we appreciated the accessible shuttle. The hotel was also very clean and nicely updated. Rooms were a great size and very clean, and it was nice to have a restaurant on site, which was open fairly late. Overall, we had a great experience. Nothing. It really was a perfect stay, which is what we needed since our flight was canceled and this was a last minute booking.

This hotel is clean but the rooms do not match the pictures online. The Barcelona bathrooms are very outdated.

I didn't have an airport shuttle. I was a little difficult to distinguish between the two properties. Breakfast was inexpensive but realky should have come with the room expense. The bar and bartender were warm and welcoming. The restaurant at night looked closed and uninviting. All in all no complaints.

Room was nice. Didn’t like that buffet breakfast wasn’t included. Didn’t like paying $30 extra each day for parking. The location is excellent as many food options and Walmart are within a block.

The staff was great when we checked in! Gave us waters, a great explanation of the facilities and shuttle. We were leaving too early to enjoy the restaurant but having a Starbucks in the lobby with an early flight out was very convenient! We heard from multiple people, don’t walk around the hotel properties. Apparently it’s a high crime area. We felt very safe inside the hotel and had zero issues. I would have never known that was a possible issue.

Was no breakfast. Staff hates their jobs, unapproachable, abrupt answers, inefficient The guy at checking hates his job. Why would you design your room doors to lockout guests. Safety issue, how did this meet safety.

The property was gorgeous, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and filled with lovely pillows. Front desk staff was knowledgeable, friendly and the location is exactly 30 minutes to downtown. Surrounding hotel was a lot of great local restaurants, grocery stores etc I loved everything 10/10 experience

Spent a night! Wish I could have stayed longer. The space was clean and beautifully designed, and the hotel staff were extremely accommodating to my needs. Wish I had gotten to enjoy the menu items, but I had to get back to the airport. The shuttle was also great; it came every 20 minutes, and I loved saving money on ride-sharing back to the airport in the morning. Overall great!

The breakfast was not very tasty and for the charge of breakfast, the options were not great. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. However the rooms had a funky smell. Like moisture/musky smell.

The staff was great. The location is very convenient. The shuttle to and from the airport is great help. The only negative was we can very clearly hear everything outside of our room.

Room was clean but the next morning someone was loudly cleaning the carpets outside our room (9:30 Sunday morning) as well as their walkie talkie going back and forth.

I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Midway Hotel! The property is very clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The shuttle service to the airport was a huge convenience, making it easy to catch the train from Midway to downtown Chicago. Everything about my stay made traveling stress-free and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel with an attractive looking lobby. On site restaurant with a variety of meal options. The room was cleaned every day however there’s room for improvements. No towels were left one day, no complimentary water during our stay. Bathroom had 2 conditioners but no shampoo. Iron did not work and front desk said they were there alone and couldn’t bring up a replacement. 😔

I normally stay at the Eaglewood resort and spa, but they were all booked due to lollapalooza the Marriott midway Chicago was closer to Lala Pelouze only took 20 minutes to get to definitely recommend Love❤️💕😍 the Eaglewood resort and Spa though too

We appreciated that this hotel was very clean, had good space, and allowed us to check out at 12pm, giving us time to sleep in and recuperate after a long, late night at a local hospital.

We got there at 3:30PM and our room was not ready. They gave us breakfast coupons for the next day which was fine. Then we left for the day and came back around 1:30PM and our room was not clean yet - I would say they have a housekeeping issue. I don't want to be put out of my room just so they can clean it - should be done earlier in the morning.

The hotel was under construction but the rooms were updated and nice.

First assigned room wasn’t clean. Next room had 1 towel for 4 people.

The property is currently under a major renovation, so there were areas that were not completed yet. The staff was very accommodating, responded quickly to requests and tried to make us as comfortable as possible during this construction.

The hotel is being renovated. You have to pay for parking.

it would have been helpful to know prior to booking that construction was underway and that it was close to the airport

The hotel had a lot of construction going on, the pool and restaurant were closed, and there was only one elevator for all floors. It was very noisy and inconvenient. Staff did their best to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.

Valve in the bath tub was damaged and won’t stop the hot water and I was not able to take a shower I have to use water cup to get water from the hand washing faucet back and forth to take a shower very very uncomfortable I have a video

Hotel was nice on the inside, could use some more cleaning in the elevators and doors to rooms need to be cleaned more often.Bathroom floor tile was cracked and I cut my foot on it while getting out of shower.Felt I paid too much for that room especially since if the floor hadn’t been cracked so much then I wouldn’t of gotten hurt. Few stains on carpet.Can’t believe I had to pay $24 to park in the hotel parking lot while I stay there. That should be free since I’ve already paid to stay there. Got pics of the bathroom floor and what it done to my foot.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleanliness however was terrible. There were stains on the toilet, the bed skirt was stained. It just seemed like there’s a lot that gets skipped over.

I had a delayed flight until the next day, so I was looking for a nice place to stay for just the night, and leaving early in the morning. Beautiful lobby. Upgraded room, very clean, great countertops. The shuttle to and from the airport is very convenient.

Our stay was a 2 night for a Volleyball tournament. We received a paper slid under our door informing us the next morning the water was being shutoff at 9am until late day for a scheduled maintenance. We were not informed during our booking or at checkin to prepare for this but rather the night before after getting back late from all day games. This is unacceptable I know emergencies occur but this notice stated scheduled. We had to get up early just to ensure everyone could be showered and use the water instead of being able to sleep and rest. For the nightly rate charge I expect to be able to have basic personal care like water. No discount or compensation was offered in either way. Had I have know and been informed of time I would have booked a different facility to ensure we could rest and shower like expected. Very frustrating and unprofessional.

The room had a strange knocking sound coming from the shower during the night. You could hear every door close in the hallway as guest came and went.

Already informed this property of my issue with this stay and they refused to do anything to correct it. Ended up charging me an extra $173.40.

I booked an easy reservation via Expedia to stay at Marriott Hotel near Midway, prior to my flight the next morning. Upon arrival, check-in was smooth because the lobby was empty. I received exceptional service by a representative and mad I didn’t get her name to shout her out for her hospitality. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was soft, I slept like a baby. The free shuttle to Midway Airport came right in time, it comes to property at the top of hour and every 20 minutes after. The shuttle buses operate 24/7, 365 days. Lastly, they have a restaurant and Starbucks inside hotel. I will stay at the Marriott from here on out. Thank you, to all Staff.

We stayed here overnight before our a.m. flight the next day. Beautiful rooms, nice restaurant, & starbucks. We will definitely stay next time we fly.

Our dinner server on Thursday night was awesome.

We needed a hotel near the airport for an early flight. This Marriott was a good price, had shuttle service and a restaurant. The front desk clerks were helpful, friendly and quick. My question about gas stations and the shuttle were answered thoroughly and pleasantly.

My room was on the first floor near the open lobby door which made it noisy, as it appeared that an event was taking place.

Got in extremely late and had no issues with checking in. Was only able to grab a few hours of sleep but everything I experienced in that short amount of time was excellent. Bed and pillows were top notch!

Decent place to stay near the airport. The check-in process was a little rough (no flexibility in checking in early, given the wrong room, and then given an unclean room) but the overall stay was good for what was needed.

It was a good stay. Everyone was friendly. The parking is a little bit horrendous because a bunch of other hotels all share the same lot. It was a good time all in all and would probably stay there again.

When check out on Saturday morning. Only 1 person working the check desk and was a line of people waiting to check out. Not that big of a deal. It took 20 extra minutes

This was the second time I have stood at this property. The housekeeping is nice and eager to please. As for the staff at the front desk can sometimes be very rude and short with patients as for the property itself for the two times I have stayed there. The elevator seems to always be broken and you have to wait for one elevator. The rooms are nice for the size and clean

front desk workers were extremely rude and weren’t polite to you if you weren’t an elite member. they ignored us, never greeted us, were rude on the phone when they finally answered, just not a friendly or welcoming environment. they made it clear you have to be apart of their elite club to be treated nicely there

Victoria is always AMAZING! Check-in is always pleasant and welcoming with her. She is one of the main reasons I frequent this hotel for church services.

We stay in this hotel “block” when flying out of Midway. This hotel has a lot less road noise then the other hotels.

For the price I paid it was not worth it. The rooms are dated and the tv did work. The elevators were dirty and slow.

I didn't like the fact that complimentary breakfast wasn't included. Room too expensive to not be included. The room 334 bathroom needed some repairs and replacement; however, maintenance did come right away to make it right. Bathroom do not have air fan in it.

Called and said I would be late, but nevertheless the room was returned to inventory and I was billed twice. Very derogatory comments about me booking through Expedia and pretty much zero effort to make it right.

Being near airport

The lady that checked us in initially was very rude. No eye contact whatsoever.

Seemed like a rougher part of town with panhandling on the corners and people just hanging at the corners all around the hotels.Also, noticed broken car window when coming out in the morning.. luckily not our rental car. Definitely felt like an unsafe area and would've cancelled, but was told too late for a refund. Wouldn't recommend and would never stay again.
