The decor was nice. The food at Beatrix was great, but the service was not good. The way my concerns were addressed. We were placed in a room where the air conditioning was difficult to regulate. (I arrived first because my daughter was coming from a different state). I checked in and was asked if I wanted the room serviced daily or every other day. I opted for daily service to start. When I got to the room the temperature was set at 68, but the room was hot. I figured before calling the desk for help, I wanted to be sure there was an issue, so turned the temp down. After waiting 20 minutes there was no change so I called the desk. The desk person was concerned and stated he would send a technician up. 15 minutes after my call the room started to cool off. I called the desk back to tell them to cancel the tech. By the time my daughter arrived it was getting warm again. I called the desk and briefly described the air situation along with 2 additional concerns (The toilet tank did not fill properly, I didn't feel comfortable using the toilet and the shower door didn't close completely) my concern was the water would pool from leaking out of the cracked door while showering). I told the agent we were hungry and asked if the tech could work while we were out, the reply was yes. When we returned the room was cold. I turned down the temperature and all was well until the middle of the night and it got hot again. We were miserable the rest of the night and decided to wait until morning to call. When we woke up the room was comfortable again so there was no need to call. We dressed went out and when we returned that evening the room was not serviced and it was hot again. We called and placed the call on speaker, the concern was no longer present. (Instead of asking my daughter to hold on, he simply placed her on hold and someone else took over). The response had turned into annoyance, like we were complaining.

The perfect location with the perfect views! You are in the center of everything whether you want to walk drive or uber. The rooms are spacious and really nice. The restaurant attached is sooooo good we ate there three times I believe it’s called the Beatrix

Accessibility and the view No bathroom privacy the door, albeit functional for the space, did not keep out noise.

I loved the location. Very close to anything you’d want to do, unless you’re going to Andersonville, but even then, only a 20 minute uber. The rooms are listed as “soundproof” and the are not. There’s a huge gap under the door that feels like a safety hazard. You could hear the neighbors pretty easily.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aloft on Clark. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean. The location was excellent. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Chicago. My only suggestion for the hotel to add additional towel hooks on the bathroom. Thanks for the terrific stay!!!!

The hotel was great. Staff was nice and hotel itself was clean. The restaurant is also very good. My biggest complaint is how busy the restaurant was and they had to wait for breakfast. You’d think hotel guests would be prioritized.

Thin walls, I also paid for a city view and only got a rooftop of a crappy looking building. Idk, I felt like the room could’ve been a little better for what we paid

This was an amazing location and very clean hotel. The hospitality was amazing. We arrived much earlier than expected and the staff was kind and helpful and allowed us early check in without any additional fees. We will definitely return!

1. There’s no way to leave a light on in the bathroom at night or turn it on without disturbing everyone in the room. It’s just one switch that covers the open (no door) sink/closet area and the private toilet/shower room. A nightlight in the toilet area would’ve been useful! 2. Not the hotel’s fault but our neighbors were LOUD the first night. Their voices carried from down the hall. Lots of slamming doors too sounded closer than they were. And there was street noise too (we were on the 16th floor). Just normal sirens and such but just not the quietest experience. But overall clean, super nice and helpful staff, great location for food, Chicago Theatre, walking to Old Town, etc.

The climate control in the room was stuck at 72 and would kick on after a period of time no matter what you set the temperature to. Even if you turned it OFF. Other than that… the hotel is great. I am a return customer and will be returning again.

Perfect location, clean, spacious and very friendly staff. Only minor complaint, the toiletries in the shower were not refilled. Usually not a big deal, I only noticed because I forgot my body wash. Easy street parking, and there’s a Walgreens just a block away.

Location wasn’t terrible, but the noise was high (at least on a Saturday night). The in-room heating was loud, too. The space was well maintained and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and our room was great — we had a corner room with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows and very comfortable beds. Everything was clean and pleasant. The only downside was the poor sound insulation — at night we could clearly hear sirens from the street. Other than that, we were very satisfied with our stay.

And the best part was the beautiful city view, especially at night all the lights. We will definitely stay there again.

We really liked our room. I liked you could help yourself to coffee, napkins, plates and cups. My only complaint was the street noise that went well into the morning hours. Only on Sunday night did we catch a break. Excellent valet service too. Staff was nice.

I enjoyed my stay here at the Aloft. This hotel is right in the middle of where everything is, plenty of food places, bars, activities, stores. It was so convenient. Will definitely stay here again. My only downfall was, there is no Swimming pool.

Aloft was a great hotel for a visit to Chicago: beautiful facilities and an extremely helpful staff. Our bathroom door was challenging to fully close so I told the front desk staff about the issue and they had it fixed before we came back a few hours later. Beatrix (the restaurant) had awesome food and drinks and we enjoyed all meals that we had there. Would definitely recommend.

The only con is the area to eat inside the hotel where not hotel customer friendly since its independent from the hotel and you have to go outside and get through their doors and make the line which is for everyone i think they should prioritize hotel customers. Everything else was awesome

Check in was a disaster. There was a problem with my first payment type (my error), which caused something to happen with the system and no payment method was being accepted. Person didn’t try to figure out if the problem was at the terminal and left it up to me. Called my CC companies and the transaction had not been requested. Went back to the desk and everything worked. No apology, no accountability. Very disappointed.

The hotel is very clean and rooms are really nice. The staff is amazing and helpful. The amenities are great and it’s in a perfect location. My only drawback is the walls are so thin I could hear when the person in the other room was opening their blinds and the clear conversations of people in the hallway.

Was nervous because I’d never stayed here before, but Marriot properties tend to always be good so I went with it. Pleasantly surprised! Great staff, clean room for the most part. Great location. Only issue was no electric outlet in the bathroom area except behind the refrigerator. Had to get on the floor & move it to use. I’d definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Aloft Chicago Downtown River North was outstanding. Despite our late check-in around 8 or 9 PM, the staff greeted us warmly, and everything was prepared in advance, making the process seamless. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning city view from the 12th floor. The bed and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable, providing the perfect rest after a day of exploring Chicago. We enjoyed breakfast at Beatrix, the hotel's attached restaurant, and it was delightful. I had the lemon pancakes, while my husband opted for the ham and cheese croissant sandwich—both were delicious and satisfying. On evenings when we were too tired to dine out, ordering Uber Eats to the hotel was convenient and hassle-free. The hotel's location is ideal, situated in the vibrant River North area, close to numerous dining options and attractions. While the TV in our room was a bit glitchy, it didn't detract from our overall experience, as we weren't there to watch television. Additionally, the room featured a functional desk space, which was perfect for catching up on some work. Overall, our stay at Aloft Chicago Downtown River North was exceptional, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. We will definitely be staying again and shout out to Thomas and team.

Good place, only thing that bothered me a bit was the staff asking if we would like housekeeping during our stay and I said yes please, nobody came to clean or swap towels. Other than that everyone was friendly and very quiet place regard of the location.

Rooms and views were great! Staff is also very accommodating, my sister and her boyfriend checked in a day after us and they offered to put them on the same floor and they were able to put them a door down from us. I’d definitely recommend to a friend and I’d stay here again!

It’s reasonably quiet considering you are surrounded by a bustling city. You will hear sirens and construction if nearby, but wasn’t kept awake. View was great. Desk staff very helpful! The room lighting was really nice, lots of options to adjust brightness even individually over the beds. Overall very happy with our stay. For the price, it’s what I expected.

Great hotel in great location on N Clark St in Chicago. There was a restaurant in the hotel but there were great places to eat nearby as well. Small refrigerator was present. Room had great decor.
