We were very plesantly aurprised by our entire stay at Moon River- Dave and Elizabeth were excellent hosts, andnthe inn itself was extremely interesting (especially for a lifelong musician and music fan of all musical styles). Breakfast was exceptional by any standards. All in all an experience to remember.

Elizabeth and David were outstanding hosts! The Property was exactly what we expected. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and all of the amenities were perfect. The breakfast was delicious. If we are back in the Chester area we will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast in the morning was really nice. The food was great. I have never stayed in A bed and breakfast before it was a great experience The bed description on the website I booked described the room a little different. The host explained they've tried to make that change but that was minimal. Overall. I had a great stay. Highly recommend this place. It was enjoyable

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The House is beautiful and filled with memorabilia of great artists from the jazz and blues fields. The area is very quiet and picturesque. I look forward to my next trip up to the Chester, SC area. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

This is a very unique B&B and Dave and Elizabeth do everything and more to make your stay enjoyable. The inn is beautiful and breakfast was wonderful. What a unique experience, and such a refreshing change from the standard hotel experience! They do it from the heart.

The host was extremely warm and knowledgeable about blues history .they served homecook breakfast with heart efforts. Room was verywell decorated and furnished in southern plantation style...everything just beyond our expectations..what a beautiful memories .we sure will be back again!

Finally, as if we couldn't possibly enjoy our stay any more, Elizabeth prepared a fabulous breakfast at which their friend, pianist Patrick Hudson, played from his vast repertoire of music. It was a stroke of luck we ventured off Rt 77 to stay at the charming Inn in the quiet town of Chester, South Carolina. If you're anywhere near Chester and need a respite from the road or life in general, it's a great place to stay

The hospitality was genuine southern. The breakfast was exceptional, providing every breakfast option possible. The owners / hosts ate with us, leading an enlightening, interesting discussion of southern history. We will have lifetime memories of our stay.

We stayed in 2 rooms. They were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with David and Elizabeth. Their love of the blues led to a breakfast sing-off! Most memorable bnb yet!!

Inn on Half Moon Plantation is a 5 star bed & breakfast. Quiet, beautiful home that has a blues music 🎶 history beyond imagination. Love this place. I stayed in the Memphis room which features Elvis and B.B. King.

I extend my gratitude to Elizabeth and Dave, we had a lovely time at their house. I only wish we could have stayed longer! The house is rich in history and our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. I honestly can't say anything bad. Chester is not necessarily a destination town, but that is no reflection on the accommodation. We stopped through Chester on a road trip and really loved the little town.

The hosts were lovely-we enjoyed their company as well as the history of the home including the pictorial (art) history of black musicians and leaders. The breakfast was amazing, as was the company. The dinner recommendation was spot on-go to the local Italian restaurant there if you can! Fairly significant stairs leading to the sleeping/bath areas. Bath outside the room in hall. Most concerned about the number of extension cords all around the bedroom. TV was the size of a computer screen if that is of concern to you. Every surface contained items that were interesting, but gave less space for guests to put their personal items-lots of clutter everywhere. The back of the property needed cleaning up-old cars and such behind the property. Chester is a very small community, so go there for rest, not entertainment. We enjoy small towns such as this.

We had the best time during our stay here!! David and Elizabeth are wonderful hosts!! They are very welcoming and such a joy to talk to! Staying here was a treat for us and we would definitely stay again!! Oh and they made the best breakfast ever!! It was delicious!!

Breakfast was de-licious. I'm not sure whether Dave or Elizabeth prepared it, or a combination of both of them. The bacon was perfect, the eggs were sweet and lovely, and the potatoes and onions were yummy! Carrot juice was offered as an option to orange juice to suit our preference! Nothing. All B&Bs should be this comfortable, clean, and inviting. Elizabeth and Dave have a great place and it was a pleasure to share it with them.

The house is beautiful with a great history and decorated inside with fun blues memorabilia. The hosts, Elizabeth and Dave, were exceptionally friendly and fun to be with. They graciously gave us free ice when we came in late. The breakfast was cooked to order, especially appreciated because of being a vegetarian and needing to eat gluten free. We were able to park in their yard off the street. We had difficulty figuring out how to get hot water in the bathroom. Booking.com's description of the property led us to think that there would be a fridge and microwave (which admittedly we didn't really expect for a bed and breakfast); they were accessible and I am sure the hosts would have let us use them if need be but perhaps the property description needs to be fine tuned?

Beautiful old home with unique and eclectic decor. Very clean and secure. The front door’s security system needs to be replaced. On numerous occasions we could not unlock the door and had to arouse the owner to gain entry.
