When I got there . I was very upset that they didnt take certain cards. So I had to use their atm withdrawal the money. And came with fees and can only withdrawal $200 at a time. Since I booked for 2 nights it was close to $600 plus the 12$ plus deposit on the room. 672$ almost 100$ more than I was expecting to spend. When I got to my room . It wasn't the room I booked online. Carpet had holes and they left dirty towels in the room , tv wasn't working. I had to use my internet on my phone to work the TV. I will not book again

The Wi-Fi connection is terrible it would not hold a connection for longer than about 10 minutes and then would disconnect. The hot water is non-existent on the third floor - I let it run for more than 15 minutes and it still was barely lukewarm. The room was clean, but the hallways are dark and have a strange smell (maybe some type of cleaner). The bathroom tubs are not really practical for someone who needs assistance in and out of the shower - the grab bars are not in the right location or they need more than one.

The room was very clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was good and a lot of variety. We didn't have time to use the pool or the workout room or the hot tub, if there was one. But they look clean as well. We would stay there again without a doubt. Love that it's no smoking no pets.

It is an older property. Room was not comfortable, hot to sleep, cold in the middle of the room. Bathroom had mold masked with caulking. Gross to look at. One night stay good enough.

There was no phone in the room. I know we have cell phones, but in case of an emergency it would've been nice to have a land line. I didn't gave a remote to the tv. I went to the desk and the girl gave me 3 because she didn't know which one controled the tv in my room! The shampoo and conditioner were too small. I have long hair so they we were a joke. The refridgerator was sooo cold it froze my soda and when I opened it it shot all over and I had to clean it up! Other than this my stay was comfortable.

Our room was in serious need of a deep cleaning, I wouldn’t dare use the jetted tub, yuck! First time using the toilet and it wouldn’t flush. We were told they could give us a plunger for us to do it, because they wouldn’t have anyone there until the next day. Are you freaking kidding me, absolutely ridiculous!! My sister-in-law room wouldn’t lock (major security concern), thank goodness she checked because who knows what could’ve happened.

we booked this hotel due to it having a hot tub, we checked in on Friday 5-29-2026. nothing was relayed prior to check in that the hot tub was not working. as i was waiting in line to check in Friday afternoon my fiancé walked to use the restroom and he looked into the pool area and noticed there was caution tape around the hot tub. we asked the young lady at the front desk and she assured us that it would be fixed tomorrow (Saturday 5/30/26), which it was not fixed then. it was still not usable when we checked out Monday 6/1/2026. we went down to ask for a new set of towels at 8:00am on Monday 6/1 and the gentleman at the front desk said can you wait until housekeeping comes in they will be here later this morning. i was very aggravated at this point so i just said fine and went up to our room to get packed since we had to catch our flight home. we just used our dirty towels, as we were loading a cart up over an hour later to load our rental and check out the front desk representative walked upstairs to hand us a set of bath towels.

Cost, location, and the friendliness of the staff. The property is a bit older and the smell in the carpet on the floors wasn’t the best. You can smell that the property was cleaned but the floors in the lobby wasn’t sticky.

They gave us the room with tape on mirrors, plugs didnt work. Lights didnt work. beds were dirty, no towels were available and the manager said he would be sure I get a refund if we checked out. We checked out . And now they're saying refunds can't be offered.

The only good thing about this trip was the young lady who worked at the front desk. The room was old and dated and had a smell, we were supposed to have a dining room table and it was a folding table. Half of the outlets didn’t work, the bathroom was kept up well but everything was either peeling or covered in plaster. The front desk area is the only thing that looks maintained. The pool was closed. I’ve stayed at the Wingate in Short Pump and it’s very nice and the folks are hospitable, the gentleman who works Saturday nights was very rude and could not even help us with the Wi-Fi that didn’t work also. Just a truly awful experience that has turned me off from Wingate altogether.

Book a king size bedroom was given a two double bedroom and charge for the state of a king size bedroom. Rooms are not cleaned on the daily basis, but towels is replenished. Overall, the staff was nice and accommodating. The hotel inside and out was fairly clean. The hot tub could not be used. The pool is not open until 1 PM and close at 10 PM. The walls of extremely thin. The breakfast was better than most places I’ve been.

The manager was not helpful and not accommodating of us asking for extra towels and actual clean covers and that the housekeeper didn't clean. While not their fault but the elevator was down. No wifi or more power outlets, broken mirror.

Our room was pretty dirty, especially the bathroom. There was either mold or someones boogers all over the shower curtain. Someone else's hair all over the floor so it obviously wasn't swept or mopped. We were going to stay another night but opted to go to a different hotel. Also the Jacuzzi and elevator were out of service. A big reason we booked this was for the jacuzzi and being on the 4th floor the elevator being broken was annoying.

The hotel was clean, but older and not updated. The Jacuzzi in the pool area was not functional, and the outlet in my bathroom was not functioning so no use of hairdryer or other electric small appliances. Of the three Wyndham properties I stayed in on my travels, this was the most expensive but the least functional.

The room smelled of cigarette badly and was informed by the front desk that the reason was the entire hotel is on one ventilation system which causes the smoke smell to spread through the rooms but not the halls. The bathroom desperately needs updating and patching.

Not much The room was very dirty for a Marriott. The carpet had cigarette burns in it. There was used lotions in the shower. The toilet paper was an open roll. When checking out I wanted a receipt and the person working said I had to wait 10 mins. Rudely Just really disappointed.

Lightswitch by the entry door in the room controlled not only the overhead light by the door, but also the two wall lamps between the beds...which means that the only way you could use the power outlets (to charge devices) between the bed was to keep the light on by the door overnight! I have NEVER seen such a strange set up in a hotel. Housekeeping was inconsistent - towels and toiletries were not refreshed or replaced in a four night stay. Caulking around tub was gross. The entire shower area needed a refresh. The tub control was installed backwards - H gives you cold water, C gives you hot water. Breakfast area closed at 9 AM, which is a bit early. Breakfast area staff pretended to not speak English when asked for something. The yellow paint color in the hallways was nauseating! Absolutely gross. The flooring throughout the hallway needs replacement. Pool was drained and unusable. Otherwise, the room was a good size. The sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable. But overall, I don't think I'd choose this location again.

The pool was unexpectedly closed which was a bummer because my kids were looking forward to swimming. The bed sounded like we were sleeping with plastic shopping bags under the fitted sheet. Overall rundown room with stained walls, visible hand and finger prints on everything. The air conditioning unit made an inconsistent vibrating sound all night. The tv remote didn’t work. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

The pillow-top mattress was like sleeping on a cloud! The room was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a great breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, and fruit. I was surprised to find organic milk for cereal. There was a small gym, also. It was a very nice stay!

In the bathtub, there should be a mat or bathmats inside the bathtub, as the bathtub was extremely slippery.

The television channels were hard to maneuver, between local stations and channels being streamed. Streamed channels were consistently buffering. Furniture is needing to be replaced. Toilet had an issue with flushing. Breakfast was chaotic, due to a church group bombarding the area every morning, taking up every table, every seat, eating, then sitting to gossip, which forced every other guest to take their food to their rooms.

We stayed on the second floor room 214 where they was having a party next door the music was so loud we couldn’t sleep… I called the front desk from 10:15 to 10:45 to complain and no one answered

That it was close to my house and the front desk girl the night I checked in was super sweet and it was clean at first The night before we checked out we had very expensive box is chocolate and we put it in the little section where the coffee is above the fridge because it didn't fit in the fridge and the next morning there were ANTS ALL OVER THEM!!! MY EXPENSIVE CHOCOLATE!!! Not to mention that your internet sucks it's spotty... the TV kept buffering.... we tried to wipe away the ants for you all but there were more and more of them... and then when i told the desk they were just like..."what room"... not a sorry or anything...I would have let the internet go but the ants... we were in the 3rd floor to so how bad do you have ants for it to go to the 3rd floor...I was very disappointed...I don't think I'll come back... it wasn't dealt with... the 2 men in the morning were not the young girl from Friday night... she was sweet and nice... the 2 men Sunday morning were not...I go to a lot of hotels and yea i won't book this one again

Location The hotel took my money when my stay was paid for through the app by a family member. I was not refunded the deposit of $50 and I was charged for the room. I kept telling the front desk the issue and several attempts to refund my money back was made, but no success. I even told them I was uncomfortable leaving the hotel because when they refunded my money back while I was there, it was successful. But once I left the premises, I was charged. I had to go through my back to file a claim. I will never stay at. Wyndham hotel again, nor will I recommend it. I still don’t have my money. Now I’m awaiting on my claim.

Checked in and given room keys. Went to enter room and cleaning staff was standing in the doorway. Room was still being cleaned. Cleaners were rushed to finish. Room was not clean when we entered finally. Trash on the floor. Mirror sticky debris and bathroom sink not wiped clean. Bed was horrible condition, sloped to center so bad you could see it. Paint on shelf in bathroom bubbling and peeling up. Water pipes sounded like world war three when turned water on in sink. None of the staff wear any type of uniform and looked like they just walked in off the street.

Upon a late arrival, the desk staff was friendly and efficient in getting us checked in. Our room was tidy and ready for us. Everything was very clean and in great condition. The breakfast menu was a nice variety of options, especially on the weekend. The cleaning crew were friendly and helpful if anything was needed. All around experience was really good and if ever in the area again, it would be our choice for lodging.

The room was clean. In need of repairs in the room amd bathroom. Maid service needs improvement. We stayed 5 days and we received clean towels 3 out of 5 days and garbage was taken out the same amount of days. Bedding was not changed. Beds were not made except for the day we arrived. One of the top sheets had stains and the curtains had brown substance on them. Shower stopper was permanantly up could not run water in tub, rust stains inside tub. Light fixture above mirror falling off. Lots of wear and tear on walls. Also you have to sign a sheet stating any stains on towels or washcloth, it is $50.00 per item that you have to pay. I would not stay again for the price that you pay.

Overall, if you’re a single male who does not care about where you are staying I’d say go for it. If you are taking your wife to VA beach or your family, I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

We felt uncomfortable during check-in, and by the time we were heading to our room, we had already decided never to stay there again. We had to wait a very long time to check-in, as did another person staying there who was requesting another refrigerator for his room because it was frozen solid. The person checking us in was so soft-spoken, we could hardly hear her, and spoke so fast that we didn't get half of what she was telling us. We didn't ask her to repeat because there were people behind us trying to check in. There was a sign beside the one checking us in that said that that other desk person would arrive back in 5 minutes. They didn't arrive back in 30 minutes! It was uncomfortable and chaotic. Also, there was NO ONE at the desk when I checked out. There was a bowl and a note saying to just drop the keys into it. I had wanted to let them know that we had been disturbed by loud banging noise (and loud voices) from the next room, lasting from about 10 pm until after 12:30 am. My son was taking a very important national test early the next morning at a nearby testing center and the noise was very disturbing. We will certainly NEVER stay at this place ever again!

There were many issues, but we had to go to the front desk three times due to key issues that resulted in us receiving a key to the adjacent room at 10 pm. We do not expect to pay for all 4 nights and will be calling you shortly for a refund. The party on our first night, with a deep base played until after 11 pm. The king bed was so close to the wall in a huge room, that you had to walk sideways to get to the far side.

Staff was amazing. Room conditions werent the best. The shower spot were the shower heat attached had drywall missing as well as wall paper coming down in sections. Upon exiting my room there was a strong odor of weed coming from several rooms. Seeing how this is a nosmoking facility.

The hotel wasn’t bad

The Lobby was Absolutely Beautiful decorated for Christmas. Our room was clean, however the bathtub didn’t work, only the shower…but all was clean! My husband and I took our 2 grandchildren on a shopping weekend. I booked this particular hotel online for the sole purpose of the indoor pool. That was the kids only request. When we go to get in the pool, it was closed for maintenance. I must say we were all very upset. This should have been on their website. We could have found somewhere else because like I said, the pool was the most important part for the kids. I will say, all the staff was super friendly. Would I stay again? Probably so…but will definitely not be doing it online

Omg this is my 4th time staying here and i love it always clean and smells good and fresh and the service is truly amazing I'm from Jersey and i always visit my family down here and this js is my second home in Virginia

Our rooms had dirty sheets and there was roaches in both rooms. We booked those rooms for the amenities but the pool and jacuzzi was closed.

The rooms has bedbugs. I wasn’t going to do a review but I checked my account and this hotel has took 133.06$ out .How can they do that when I booked their hotels.com.

The room was filthy, it smelt like cigarettes and the shelves were falling off walls in the bathroom. Paint was peeling off the walls. Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I will never stay at a Wyndom hotel again.

Clean and affordable, especially for a holiday weekend. Check in was quick and easy. There was a strong chemical cleaning smell in the halls, but I'm very sensitive to smells anyway. The room was as advertised. Parking was plentiful. Will come again.

This hotel use to nice and we come here every thanksgiving but this year will be our last, pool was unavailable, the room smelled like 20 packs of Newport, bedbugs, hole in my bedroom door and burn marks and the rugs and the shower didn’t work. I will never go back that was it for me and my family.

The staff were nice but the overall condition of the hotel was not clean. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Common areas such as the elevator waiting areas and hallways were dirty. One room was on the 4th floor and one on the 3rd. My mom and daughter stayed on the 3rd floor and had to be moved to another room the 2nd day of our stay as my mom was bitten by something in the bed with bites on her neck and arm. Our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator area was not cleaned during our stay. There were some sort of crumbs on the floor as well as spots where someone had spilled a sticky drink of some sort. The hallway carpets were dingy and smelled. They could clearly use a good cleaning at the least. The same for the room carpets. The rooms were relatively clean but we definitely wont be staying here again. We booked this hotel quickly and just saw the 8/10 reviews without reading them thoroughly. Please don’t make the same mistake.

Everything was great except the fact the Internet was not working in our room on the TV, there were a group of teenage girls blasting music and doing a dance competition right outside my window at 8am then right after that, landscaping people were outside my window for almost two hours with a leaf blower and other loud equipment. Between 5 and 7 this same morning doors were slamming and kids were running up and down the hallways. No type of quiet time morning or night during our stay.

Had to call front desk to at least come change my towels as I checked in Saturday about minutes after 3am and from then until I was ready to leave my room was not cleaned.

I should have listened to my gut when it told me to leave after being assulted by the smell of mildew and weed pouring from the room and seeing the stained shower curtain and what I assumed to be snot on the sheet of the second bed, but sadly I stayed....and lived to regret my decision. I Wish I had slept in the car. I feel like I need to bathe in bleach after one night there.

There was a big church conference that happening in there conference room. Live band playing until 8 pm then the kids rting running up down the hallways banging on the doors, banging on walls and madmen wouldn’t do anything about it. Elevators were soaking wet. Only half the lights worked in the room.

Our room smelled like urine. The bathroom shelves were falling off the wall. The shower over-flooded on the bathroom floor.

Stayed overnight because my flight was canceled, and I must say this hotel was one of the best in terms of room space and comfort. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I had a really nice experience. The room was spacious, the bed was tall and very comfortable, and it came with a fridge and working TV. The hallway was quiet, and the front desk staff was professional and friendly. The free breakfast was a plus — with waffles, juices, cereal, fruit, bagels, and more. The hotel also has a pool, gym, and a cozy lounge area. The only downside was the toilet didn’t flush properly, but overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely come back.

Room cleaning in our hall happened late in the day. Our bathroom was never cleaned during our 4 days. We had to ask for fresh towels. My husband emptied the trash.

Very displeased about it. The ice machine was only working on the 3rd floor. Bed was comfy but due to the condition I wouldn't stay here again.

Our room smelled horrible, there was wallpaper peeling off the walls, the shower wasn’t in good condition, and the gym was very sad. Machines didn’t work properly.

Place was a bit humid leaving carpets and common areas a bit sticky, but the rooms were comfortable and clean. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The free breakfast came in handy for the kids before going to school.

Easy check in and staff was friendly. Room was ok enough for just a place to sleep. Some mildew in the tub in the caulk could be fixed but otherwise ok.

Property is basic, you get what you pay for. Beds are quite comfortable, which is a plus but trash truck came at 4 AM and it was horribly loud ruining the rest of the night sleep. Also, front desk staff hygiene needs to be addressed, the odor is rough.

The comforters were dirty. Breakfast options are almost empty and did not fill them up on time.

I booked a room with one King Bed and I had lots of open "room in my room" with chair, foot stool, desk work space, microwave and mini fridge. Everything I needed for a 3 day retreat. Hot tub, indoor pool, and some hot breakfast items were good. All the staff were helpful, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. I would have like the pool to be open for morning swims instead of 1pm. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will book again when I need some time a way.

The whole property has a musty smell. Our first room it was noticable when we walked in, so we requested to change from a first floor room. The one the fourth floor was honestly probably worse. If you have a very sensitive nose or allergies I don't reocmmend staying here. We didn't run the AC because it seemed to make it worse.

Room was clean although a bit dated. The breakfast selection was not that great, but not horrible. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and the noise level was quite minimal.

Hotel rooms and grounds were well kept and clean but starting to show age in some areas. Breakfast fare was good and there were vending machines as well as a small hotel shop options. Parking is confusing as property shares grounds with another hotel chain and there were large dumpsters taking up several parking spots close to the entrance. Beds were great & room was spacious. Water was hot but the pressure was not great and shower/tub floor were slippery- thankful for the grab bar but still banged my shin hard when I slipped.

This has been my go too hotel for over 8 years but recent visits i do not care for the establishment anymore. This last stay there was a party going on in the room until 2am until I made a call to lobby to complain. And i believe it needs to get rid of the carpets it hold smells.

Overall decent stay. Hotel staff were not as friendly as the other hotels I stayed at recently, I don’t know that they even spoke to us outside of a little bit at check in and check out. The property could use a remodel. It was ok on cleanliness. Some of the tables and stuff needed wiped down upon entering.

My wife and I enjoy a night together away from the kids. We enjoy this property, the staff and location is perfect.

The room we were given smelled of old basement and mold, there was mold on the lamp shades as well and hair in the beds as well as in the bathroom all over the door. We did end up getting our room changed after complaining. I asked to speak with a manager or someone in charge the morning of check out, i was told that they weren't in. The person at the desk stated that I would get a refund from expedia, that never happened. I would not recommend this hotel nor will I stay there again.

Bed was extremely comfortable, AC cold, and shower hot (tho no working bathroom exhaust fan). Room and hotel shared spaces show age and lack of maintenance but nothing bad enough to impact my stay. Super outdated drink machine on my floor took my money lol but I charged it to the game. I was there for 4 days and my room was tended to once. Not really an issue except needing the trash can emptied. Overall, I will stay again.

I will tell you overall my wife, and I enjoyed our stay. I will say that the customer service at the check in desk I felt was lacking majorly! When I checked in I felt like I was a burden to the clerk. He didn’t make eye contact with me, and no warmth from when we checked in, and out.I feel in this day and age, we could’ve spent our money numerous other places.

Visiting family in town. Stayed 1 night. Room ac was very nice, the bed very comfortable and the bath was clean. Room had a musty old smell. Tv would turn on and the volume would go up and down, that is it. The screen had options for apps to connect if you had a stream service, which i didnt have, but live tv wouldn't work and non of the other functions on screen didnt either. Upgrade the TV ans get rid of the smells and this would be a nice place to stay.

The room looked clean but there were several long hairs found in various places and the smell was musty and off putting.

My wife had a medical emergency 135 miles from hotel and couldn’t continue. Hotel refuses to void penalty payment.

Property was very clean as well as our room. Bed was comfy and all areas including pool area is well kept. Staff was non communicative. You have to ask common questions that should of been apart of registration. There are good food options not too far, Urban Hot Pot and Metro Diner was very good. Out at VA Beach Bubba Seafood was awesome. Hospitality at all of them was top tier!

I really loved staying here. I attended a conference in Norfolk, and this was my hotel of choice. The room was pretty modern and clean. The staff was kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was really convenient because I was up early each day to attend my conference. They also had a nice selection of quick buy items in the lobby if you needed last minute food or supplies. I only wished I could have used the pool. I would definitely stay here again.

Did a 2 day stay with the family. Its obvious the hotel is older with some sprucing up but overall it worked for our needs. The kids enjoyed the pool. The hot tub was super hot & the jets didnt work the best but were functional. Breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable but small....definitely not queen size beds in those dbl rooms. It's close to banks, gas stations, a grocery store, etc.

Cleanliness didn’t exactly match the reviews, could use a lot of elbow grease and some standard maintenance.

Liked the hot water, however the TV was not working properly. We called and was told someone would come fix the internet problem No one answers the phone at the front desk. Had to find someone to look into it.

Great stay

First stay was great. Came back 3 months later. Quick Check in and breakfast were great. Requested a room change post first room's issues. Second room didn't have a phone or tv remote. Bathroom exhausts don't seems to work in any rooms as it didnt our first stay either. Wifi didnt work the duration of the stay. Front desk doesn't answer no matter how many times you call from the room (the first one) or your phone; seems to be bothered when you come to the front.

There is a convenience store called Wawa nearby. It is crowded because there are several hotels. The restaurants in the neighborhood close around 10 o'clock. The hotel pool is open until 10 o'clock. Towels are provided. There is a jacuzzi. The breakfast is good, with fruit, yogurt, hot scrambled, potatoes, etc. The shower and water handles are a little old but they work. There are no towels in the gym, so please bring your own. There is a TV, but I don't know how to turn it on. It would be nice to be able to listen to music. The air conditioner filters were clean! The refrigerator cannot be frozen. The parking lot is spacious. It was a good hotel.

The accommodations and location was good. My concern is the bath tub NEEDS a none slip mat or something, before someone gets hurt.

Landscaping and parking lot are not kept up on. The rug in the hall getting to our room was wavy and old looking. The hall and room had a musty smell. The door to get into the room kept getting stuck so it was extra noisy getting in and out. Our room had a fridge that had poor suction so it was warm when we got there (they did bring us a new one). The shower was good but a lot of rust in and out of the shower. Finally, I had to plug in the fan and phone charger near the bed but when I did the hallway light had to stay on in order for them to work. If we turned off the hallway light then the outlet that we needed didn't work.

Loved the location and quietness of the area. Hotel was very clean and my room was the perfect space for me. Will be back soon.

The room was comfortable and clean. It could use a little minor maintnance. There was some chipped paint and worn furniture. The bed was extra comfy. Breakfast was good. There were lots of options, hot and cold.

The floors throughout the facility were sticky, both hard and soft surface floors. The air conditioner in our room would not lower, even when the knob was turned to the lowest setting. The double beds seemed smaller than expected. When asking for clean towels for a family of 4, we were provided with 2. The associates at the front desk were nice.

Everything would have been much better if the bed had been better. The pillows are awful. They're like sofa throw pillows with pillowcases over them. They are small, square, and not comfortable at whatsoever. I think it made the whole sleeping experience really bad. The pillows are enough to make me not come back.
