I will not be staying at this hotel again. There needs to be someone patrolling the parking lot or something. It’s not very welcoming to other guests when there are people outside smoking weed! Thank you.

Ordered a room with 2 queen beds, was given two doubles. Made a hug difference and the hotel wouldn’t refund the price difference. There was no front desk personnel, just a video kiosk. Made it very uncomfortable when checking in late at night. Didn’t feel safe without anyone there.

Cancelation was easy. No AC. No human, you checked in via Kiosk. There were holes in the floors. It is a extended stay. This should be mentioned when you are charging 160.0 a night.

The room was clean, however, there is no front desk staff whatsoever. There is a kiosk. That's it. The continental breakfast was horrible, no protein, only waffles. Coffee was ok. The laundry soap dispenser was broken. Every staff member I communicated with could not speak English and held their phone up to me for it to translate for them so they could understand me. A maid knocked on my door yesterday and I asked her to come back to make the bed and whatnot and she never did. Overall, the stay was barely acceptable. At least the room was clean. That's about it though. I will not stay at this property again, and I travel to Suffolk VA all the time.

Kids said pool water was very cold so not heated. Rooms are ok beds comfy but need some updates no hooks go hang towels up after use and more detail to cleaning like the shower and floors.

Nothing. The hotel has a bad smell as soon as you walk in the lobby, someone was burning something to mask the smell. The room also has a bad smell and it's was nasty in appearance. Nothing. There was no one in the lobby to check me in person, it was virtual. I didn't feel safe as a 69 year old disabled veteran, I tried to cancel my stay but apparently I couldn't.

It served my purpose of having some time alone The place needs a good upgrade. Its accommodations are old and dilapidated with paint on it. Just seems inadequate for a good time.

It was unnerving to use a kiosk to sign in. Fortunately, a maintenance person was there to let me into the bathroom after being on the road for 6 hours! There was difficultly processing my credit card. My room had a double bed instead of a queen or king, which made sleeping very uncomfortable for me and my husband. The shower leaked onto the floor. Towels were not changed daily. The other hotel guests on my floor were noisy until the late hours. Breakfast was OK with waffles, cereal, coffee. The hallway rugs need cleaning.

The cleanliness throughout the property was unacceptable. The mattress and pullout couch were stained and filthy, and there were bugs crawling around on the bedding. The bathroom was also dirty, with visible stains, rust, grime, and buildup that clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. Overall, the property felt neglected and unsanitary, and I was extremely uncomfortable letting my children sit or sleep on anything there. To make matters worse, when I checked out, I was met with attitude, and they initially tried to refund me for only one night. After enduring such a disgusting stay, I made sure I was refunded for both nights. For the amount charged, basic cleanliness should be the bare minimum, and this property completely failed at that. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re prepared to deal with dirt, smells, questionable hygiene, and possible bugs.

The room was great and very clean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed this property and will be back if back in the area!

The only good thing I can say was the room was clean. They walls are extremely thin so you can hear everything in the hallways and get woken up every 2 hours to people’s conversations. Called the front desk about a girl yelling in the hallway at 4am for 30 minutes and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Had the temp set as low as possible because the AC would wait until it was 10 degrees above what it was set to for it to kick on. The shower had no pressure to it and water just kinda fell out of the shower head. The waffle mix thing kept getting suck during breakfast so you couldn’t get waffles in the morning. I booked 2 nights and only ended up staying 1 night there because of how bad it was. Was unable to get refunded for the second night, which I was fine for but I was not staying another night at that hotel.

The particular amenities I was looking for fell far short of expectation. This site claimed recently renovated. It advertised buffet breakfast and hot tub. Room furniture was well worn and showed corrosion on metal fixtures,handles and supports. Breakfast by industry standards was continental not buffet as advertised. The hot tub didn't work properly, no jet timer and on second night wasn't even warm. Doors to access side entrances and pool were not secure, any person could enter building and pool area. A friend her family travelling with me stayed in another and had similar experience

it was my 80 six-year-old mother's Mother's Day present. I asked my sister to come in and look at the room with me. You could see that the walls had been plastered over. The coffee pot was dusty.The phone look like it had not been cleaned in years.The wastebasket, when I took out the plastic trash bag was horrible; hopefully I can find the picture to send you. What made things worse was the fact that we turned down the sheets and there were stains on the sheets as well as the pillowcases were dingy. We didn't have a choice no to stay there because other hotels were book. When we were leaving , another guest was complaining about her room as well. In all fairness , I believe I should get my money back!

The location was ok That place was honestly disgusting and because I checked in EARLY around 2pm I was required to pay an additional fee!!! The sign outside said “newly renovated,” but that was completely misleading, and the pictures online were not accurate at all. I didn’t even feel safe touching anything!!!I ended up sleeping fully clothed on top of my extra clothes just to avoid the bed. The carpet was beyond filthy, the couch had visible stains all over it, even the ottoman was stained and dirty, and the counters were just as disgusting with stuff all over them. The whole room was nasty. The bathroom was even worse, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all, with two dirty rags holding up the shower curtain and a broken curtain rod which was hanging out of the wall!! There was even something hanging from the ceiling looked like slime or something which made it feel even more sickening. The smell was terrible !!! I took several pictures because I couldn’t believe how bad it was. I also couldn’t have felt more unsafe. The back doors were left open, there were people fighting and arguing at two in the morning, and I was honestly scared to even move from the threats I could hear a man make to a female in the next room !!!I packed up my things and tried to find another hotel but I wasn’t able to because of everything going on in the area made it impossible to find availability. Unfortunately we didn't like much of the location. Found the images on the booking.com page were night and day difference from what we found on our stay. Will provide more details below, but overall was very disappointed by the experience. We arrived, and, after examining one room, which had a disconnected bathroom faucet, were moved to a different room. This wasn't an improvement. Multiple areas did not appear to be properly cleaned in some time. For examples, several questionable stains on sheets, couch cushions and other areas suggest that they're barely cleaned or outright ignored. The room lacked multiple items for a suite location, bedding for the sofa bed, dishes and cutlery. After moving to the front desk the clerk provided bedding (not sealed in any plastic) and some paper plates and spoons. The pool area did not look properly cleaned, and the hallways looked to have some small litter around. The beds had questionable stains on the sheets and mattresses themselves. And were overall uncomfortable. The staff, at first, tried to be helpful with some missing items. Due to a personal emergency we left early the next morning, we asked for a refund for the remaining nights. We think paying for the first night is fair. However, the hotel charged for two nights, and despite numerous discussions which include poor phone volume, explained it as a promotion price and ignoring calls from Booking.com. I have more photos than what is presented below which include, dirty couch cushions, dirty table side phone, dirty hand soap dispenser in bathroom, broken lampshade and literal phlegm like substance on the wall. Overall I would not recommend this location to anyone and recommend the management overhaul the cleanliness and state of the property. Very disappointed will never be coming back.

The hotel overall is outdated. The bathroom had no towel racks, and the bath towels were just sitting on the floor. The breakfast was basically white toast and a waffle station. No proteins and no fruit. I would not recommended this hotel unless it was a quick overnight stop for sleeping only; then back on the road.

This place was disgusting. I do not recommend at all. Everything was dirty, pillows had black mold, when I mentioned to the guy that worked there about how it’s not what’s shown in pics he said there pictures are false adviti. Pool is green, extremely dirty. I’m more then positive people actually live there.

The pull out couch was dirty so couldn’t use it. The water pressure sucked. The sheets were itchy, I just felt dirty the whole time I was there. There was no trashcan in the room.

The owners are very kind and swiftly addresses all the issues that I had immediately which was appreciated. They are clearly trying to renovate and spruce up the area and there were signs of renovations and added decor. The family was kind that ran it. I never felt unsafe, and there is a lot of shopping within a 4 min drive with lots of food, an excellent restaurant Sakura across the street and a library within 8 min. I did not think that the cleaning staff had attention to detail at all. They got better as the stay went on, but that may have been a result of my issues. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. In some of the hallways they still need to update and clean. It was decent enough for an inexpensive stay.

My children enjoyed the pool. The staff do not enforce the non smoking as “permanent tenants” smoked in stairwells and inside their rooms often smelling the f marijuana. Also my children were asked to be quiet at 9am when eating breakfast however other renters could be heard at all hours of the night being exceptionally loud for long stretches of time. The staff were very lax in trying to accommodate our large group, the hallways were very very cold with heat sources unplugged, and the hallways were exceptionally dirty even after supposedly cleaned. A real let down to say the least.

It had running water & clean beds to give credit where due. But the carpet is gross and overall it needs alot of updates. There was a lot of questionable activities going on in the evening when we arrived. Then a group of young or middle aged african males hanging out in the hall and rooms next door. Talking loudly all night long. They must have been locals, because at 5:30 AM they finally exited the building and walked down the street. Not sure what all was going on all night long, but i have my suspicions... Needless to say, we barely got any sleep.

Connection room very loud, staff did nothing about it until 4am on second stay. Side door was not secured. Can get in without a key, door just opened. WILL NEVER STAY OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WVR AGAIN !!!!!!!

First arrived found roaches notified front desk they did spray the next day. We had to ask daily for toilet paper our shampoo were never filled for entire stay and found nasty bloodly underwear in the bathroom under the sink. Breakfast was very limited no eggs or bacon or potatoes. Probably not going to stay there again when we visit virginia.

Newly renovated, actually surprised me and was more comfortable and in better condition than I expected honestly. Staff was friendly and made sure I had everything needed. Place was very quite and peaceful. No complaints for the value, nice place.

Horrible. People sat out in ther cars and smoked. Hotel was outdated and the rooms were overpriced. A complete waste of money. The hotel was not clean, someone left french fries on the steps. A car parked next to me and they just threw that McDonalds food right beside my care in the parking lot. Also, the staff was very rude and unprofessional.

This was fine for one night. But no more than that. The rooms were clean but not in the best shape. There was a lot of noise. At the rear door there were a few men sitting against the wall drinking 40 oz beers. Not really a family vibe. The breakfast was poor. Overripe fruit and a variety of carbohydrates. Strong smell of chemical cleaner in the lobby and halls. Did not feel great leaving my car in the parking lot. I did not use the pool. I did see that the hot tub was functioning which is rare in hotels it seems. I don't recommend this location.

Sleep Inn was awesome! They took such good care of my special needs. I felt so comfortable and at home. The bed was so comfortable, the staff was so amazing and helpful. Anything we asked for they provided for us. We will definitely stay there again when we visit our family in Chesapeake, VA. ❤️

The hallways smelled like straight weed (funny for a smoke free hotel). The room smelled like rotten mildew. There was a random pillow on hallway floor that was covered in yellow wet stuff. The hotel outside side doors don't lock, anyone can get in. The fact that the room smelled so mildewy that it caused me to have an asthma attack after only 15 minutes being in the room. The management wouldn't talk to me directly, only on phone to a front desk clerk. Refused to refund my room, charged me for 1 night and only refunded me for the 2nd night because i flipped out. But still awaiting my refund... the health department should shut this place down.

Getting back that late made us feel a little uncomfortable with the amount of people surrounding the outside of the building. Strict no smoking policy but the smell of weed was strong outside. Upon entering the building, it also had a somewhat old smell. The room we had only had one trash can and the light switch wasn’t working, plus it was a bit noisy. The pictures I saw on Expedia didn't look like the room I wanted. After going downstairs to return my room key and speaking with staff, I was shown a room on the 1st floor which was a little more like the pictures and a very quiet space. Staff also explained that instead of leaving, it would be best to just transfer rooms because they can’t guarantee a refund. Although I appreciated the gesture, and the room and space was much better than the original, I still decided to find a different hotel. My husband is a germaphobe and he didn’t like the vibe of the place. We also felt uncomfortable in the area, it was late night and we saw some weird things by the other doors around the back of the building. I appreciate the staff being accommodating and helpful, but I feel like we should’ve gotten a refund since we didn’t stay at all. If you’re a single traveler needing a place to crash for the night, I’d recommend though.

Rooms didn't look anything like their photos. Rooms were dirty, the hotel didn't have any operating ice making machines. We wanted to check out immediately but were told they were still going to charge us for that night. We feared for our safety during our stay. People were noisy in the hallways and a couple of times someone tried our door handles to enter our room. We will never again stay in a Sleep Inn.

Rooms didn't look anything like their photos. Rooms were dirty, the hotel didn't have any operating ice making machines. We wanted to check out immediately but were told they were still going to charge us for that night. We feared for our safety during our stay. People were noisy in the hallways and a couple of times someone tried our door handles to enter our room. We will never again stay in a Sleep Inn.

Our curtains had holes in them. One of the outside doors was completely unlocked and open for anyone to get in without a key. There were homeless people living in and near that door and walking in and out all night. The people who stayed next to us were smoking weed and we could smell it very strongly. There was also people right outside our room partying outside by the door that was unlocked. Super unsafe with a family. The workout room was 80 degrees and couldn’t be turned down. The one thing I did like was the friendliness and professionalism of the front desk staff, which is important. My check-in was great, and my decision to reduce my length of stay was not seen as an inconvenience. Did not get a chance to eat breakfast, use the pool or the gym as planned. The room and bedding were very comfortable. I felt safe although the side door did not require a cardkey.

That same evening, my 12-year-old niece was trapped in the swimming pool bathroom for 15 minutes because the door knob malfunctioned. The staff was unable to locate a key, and I ended up calling 911. Thankfully, my brother managed to break the door open, but my niece was terrified and in a state of panic. Despite this traumatic event, no one from the staff offered an apology or took responsibility, instead insisting the door knob wasn’t broken. Saturday brought more issues. A man claiming to be maintenance entered my father’s room (room 228) without notice, saying he was there to fix the TV. This was alarming as we were never informed about any maintenance visits. The next day, my father discovered that a sweatsuit was missing from his room. When I reported this to the front desk, I was met with defensiveness—the staff member refused to check the cameras and simply said, “I trust my employees,” which was incredibly dismissive given the circumstances. Throughout the stay, I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and was told one would be available Saturday morning. No manager ever showed up. The hotel was nice and so was the customer service. The guest near our room were very rude and disrespectful. They allowed their children to run, scream, play in the hallway and the adults were just bad, if now worse because they should know better. The front desk associate did address the issue, but it lasted a short time. They eventually started up again and it was worse!!

The cons: the doors do not go all the way to the floor so you hear everything. Bathroom is very small, ceiling was stained and peeling. I found hair in the shower.

My was good. The hotel is located in a quiet area near restaurants, stores, and highway. It was easy to check-in. The room was clean. The breakfast had very limited food options but the waffles were delicious.

Overall recommend. Area has mulltiple food places, easy accessed to hotel, and etc. Parking is behind the hotel which I enjoyed. Negatives would be locks on doors outside doors have been removed so anyone can enter, no cameras out in parking lot, and pool/work out center is at the end of the hotel.Otherwise high enjoyed my stay. Would stay again.

All in all for the price we paid, it was expected. Cleanliness could have been a lot better. Main concern was all side entrances from the outside says 24 hour locked but they were never locked at any hour day or night. Safety issue for sure.

The hotel wasn't very clean. The floor in the elevator was dirty, and the sink and shower drain were dirty. The hotel management didn't seem to take care of the property. There were small cosmetic things that could have been easily fixed that wouldn't cost a lot of money. There were dings to the paint and furniture in my room. And part of the window shades were hanging down. About 1/3 of a washcloth was bare. The toaster and waffle maker were malfunctioning and there were very limited breakfast options. The beds were too high and hard. There weren't any towel racks in the rooms. I was also charged $9.80 more than what I agreed to pay when I booked on Expedia. I was told this was a "facility fee". Overall, I was disappointed with this property. I should have taken the previous negative reviews seriously. We won't be staying here again when we visit the area.

I checked in and they charged what was not from Hotels.com, I booked a room with a kitchenette that was not furnished with ANYTHING. Why charge people for a room that can’t be used with a kitchen. Jacuzzi was down for maintenance, pool was dirty. Breakfast looked like something given as a snack. I would not recommend this hotel.

Was given a room with a broken tv, phone, chair, and air conditioner. Fixed TV and air, but it was extremely loud and cycled on and off constantly. Phone never fixed. Chair replaced but then taken away the next day. Yelling in the hallways until 10:30pm. No shower pressure.

Booked a weekend stay, and ended up discovering bedbugs. Man at the front desk showed no concern or urgency for the situation.. very inconsiderate.

Well after we got all the mold out of the shower and Jacuzzi everything was good. The shower and Jacuzzi had soap scum and mold but bleach cleaned it right up. Other than that everything was good

The staff was sooo nice. When we commented on it, we were told that they get treated like family, and it shows. The breakfast was plentiful, and staff asked if you needed anything else before removing the buffet even passed breakfast time. We were impressed. Will stay there again. Also, kiddiecorner across the street is the most amazing Japanese Restaurant SAKURA SUSHI & GRILL, with welcome drinks on the house, free little icecream for dessert, and free sushi gift to take home. Not expensive, huge portions, and very friendly owners and staff.

The beds were comfortable. The staff was nice . The chairs in the lobby and on the 2nd floor were very dirty and the door to the bathroom needs to be replaced . Very sloppy pain job in our room .

It was pretty decent. Had a couple of bugs to deal with.. we had to be moved from our initial room due to a leakage in the AC unit but the staff was for the most part very nice and pleasant.

Totally disgusting and crappy. You might as well stay on the street. The place was honestly like a homeless shelter(unsavory clientele).

When checkin into the hotel , I got a room that wasn’t clean , shower was outdated / dirty, no tissue in the bathroom , floors in the hallway/ room was very dirty.

The room smelled like urine and the shower could have been cleaned better. The water coming from the sink even had a foul smell..

Doors do not lock from outside- it’s a free for all. Odd clientele in the parking lot this includes possible prostitution and drug deals. Friendly staff at front desk and clean main office area, rooms are another story. Got my keys and went to check room out, holes in bathroom wall, shower was filthy. The rooms look nothing like the photos. Dirty sheets, the whole second floor smelled like marijuana. Not a safe place to stay with children. Front desk refunded me. Went to another hotel down the road.
