Good Bathroom should be bigger and more grab bars for senior citizens.

That said, cosmetically speaking, the property is showing signs of wear, which is to be expected, I suppose. Overall, this is a great value, with a friendly and attentive staff, where you can get a peaceful night's sleep despite it being in a somewhat busy area of Chesapeake.

Parking was another significant concern. There were not enough parking spaces to accommodate all guests, creating unnecessary inconvenience. Furthermore, the number of designated handicap-accessible parking spaces appeared inadequate for the size of the facility. I have stayed in this area on many occasions and have found that competing properties offer more modern amenities and better overall facilities at similar price points. While this facility has potential, these issues detracted from the overall experience and should be addressed to better align with the rates being charged.

Hotel looked great from the outside. In room couldn’t tell if there was a blood or food stain by the bed. Front doors deadbolt was nearly impossible to lock. I went to use the body soap…empty, called room service up to replace, they replaced all three cause they were empty. Bathroom’s wallpaper was peeling, mold around soap holder, tiles looked like they needed to be replaced asap. Walls are super thin, heard the person above me walking around till 0330. The pool area smelled like rotten broccoli, had to leave after 5 min I just felt like I was going to get sick. For the price I paid a night for the weekend I was highly disappointed. I’ve never complained about a hotel before. Again just highly disappointed

The staff was so nice. We arrived late about 11:00 pm so we slept past breakfast. When we went down the manager saw us and brought out some fruit and yogurt. It was delicious and totally unexpected. He went above and beyond

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room I booked was a bit far for my husband who has limited mobility. They were nice enough to change it to a room on the first floor. The room was fairly clean except behind the toilet, which could have used a mop. Also it was set up kinda weird. They had to carve a piece out of the bathroom door for it to close otherwise it would hit the toilet LoL. Breakfast was nice. Something for everyone. I would definitely stay here again.

Parking lot configuration not the best. Parking spaces short closest to the building. The 1 night stay was comfortable. The refrigerator froze my fruit. Carpet appeared new. I would stay again.

The pictures isn’t accurate. I had to buy a handheld vacuum to get the trash up off the floor around both night stands. Clean the shower with Clorox due to pubic hair everywhere. No microwave. Couch had blood stains. I took pictures to front desk and his response was, “what you want me to do”? Sir, that’s not good enough! Breakfast was a disaster with old bread that smelt like wine. A guest got grapes and dropped the tongs. Breakfast attendant, pick them up off the floor and put it back for someone else to use. I’ll NEVER stay here again. Should’ve went to Aloft!!!! Do better Hyatt!!!!!!!! Only good this was…. Parking.

I had a room on the first floor which I did not like. The bathroom light was really dim and the bathroom was super tight. When I went to wash my hands the water in the sink was really slow to go down. Ultimate turn off. I called the front desk and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and didn't call back and they didn't call me back. I left and went somewhere else. I was over it.

This hotel has transformed into something unrecognizable. Very strange clientele and staff this time. We will be choosing other options for business travel next time around.

The elevator was broken. I couldn't get my luggage to my room. I asked for my money back and I'm still waiting on it.

The location. That’s it It was extremely outdated. The bathroom tile in the shower creaked and after a shower you get a mildew smell, the handle in the shower was wobbly, the door stopper in the ground was wobbly and not bolted to the ground. Also the tv was not a smart tv. It’s about time that hotel updated its rooms. Also the sheets were not completely free of stains

Very small parking lot at the hotel had to park in shopping area and walk over not far but still a bit of inconvenience. The hot water in room #114 was barely luke warm even after letting it run for 10 to 15 minutes. Thin walls could hear people and dogs barking.

The room is a little smaller than I thought, but it was still nice. The only issue I had is the people upstairs had kids and they were running around making noises until about 11 PM which was a little aggravating other than that my stay was OK

Hotel was fine. They are currently under some remodeling and light construction I think, so there is some wear and tear showing in the elevators and the hallways, but the room was fine. The gym was nice and the pool appeared pleasant although we did not use it. The breakfast was good and selections were prepared well for a hotel breakfast spot. Staff were professional but not overly friendly, and there were several signs warning about parties and other hotel policies that come with fines… made me wonder if it has been a problem in the past. Location was really good for our needs, and it was within walking distance of several quick eateries and a nice coffee shop.

The location is awesome Kids and adults upstairs very loud. The kids were running & jumping a lot. I had to call downstairs twice to get them to stop it was after 1 AM.

When we checked in the night before we were told that the pool was available 10 to 10 daily, yet when we came down with our 3 year old the pool was closed. The hotel is being majorly remodeled, yet that wasn't indicated prior to booking it and there was a large amount of noise until 8 pm and the dust was awful. We were very unhappy

We never made it to the hotel and the hotel was supposed to refund money for the second day and never did. Called on the first day to explain and they did not cancel. And when I went on the app to cancel they called me. And it was in enough time for them to have the other room filled. I called them before 2:00 p.m. Eastern standard Time on Friday

The room needs improvements, it is like a Super 8 feel in the room, would prefer a shower to a tub, the breakfast area was a conference room and the limited food was lacking any flavor or taste. The staff was kind and friendly. They are improving the hotel lobby and entrance but it was not comfortable checking in.

Something about the front desk employees the younger gentleman was very helpful and nice but I received what I believe to a stereotyped and biased environment I walked through the doors and was followed down the hallway because I didn't look like I had a room.(not by the younger gentleman it was an older man)

The room was cozy but i didn't really get proper sleep from all the question asking. I was also told not to put my fur coat on the bedding ??? Hmm, ok. I was totally agrred with rthat. I did not like being asked, "which room am I occupying," each time I was seen (which was a total of three times). Is it protocol to ask guests, "which room are they in?" I've never been asked that so I ask, "do you deliver room service?" The answer was no. I made a couple purchases from the counter twice later on that day and also the next morning after having breakfast, I was asked a third time. Did not want to assume but icąrry! It's too many people going missing and you just have to stay ready for whatever. People just be careful.

I sat at the Bar area to watch the world series and he was very professional and friendly. I asked about local stuff and he was quite helpful. The only issue is the room could use the update option for connecting your phones. Im sad I dont remember the gentlemans names

The place was alright. I like the room, it was spacious though. Also, the way they designed the bathroom that the sink is outside the bathroom so other people can start taking shower.

Everything was wonderful. Very comfortable. Good location to dining options. Only thing I would mention (not a complaint) is that there was no hand lotion and the lighting in the toilet/shower was ver bad. The sink and mirror are separate and that was fine.

I liked that the property was clean. We would have loved everything except the a/c was not working properly in one of the rooms. We purchased two rooms. We would have canceled our booking except most of the hotels all around were sold out due to the college kids returning and our kid was one of them. They don't turn down the sheets until you checkout. We wish we knew that beforehand but other than that, the stay was okay

The a/c blows directly on the bed at night, making it very cold when sleeping. It is very loud when it cycles on/off and it frequently woke us up at night. The room wasn't cleaned one of the days of our stay. Breakfast was good.

Stuff on head boards, curtains dirty, couch gross on the arm rest, lobby and ice machine walk ways and floors had dirt and trash. Also, the bathroom is quite small. I did not check out the pool or gym. It was only a one night stay. I had no issues with hot water.

Hyatt Place is decent, meet expectations, no wow factor … definitely not worth $240+ a night, regardless of peak demand.

We chose to stay at Hyatt Place because we have stayed at other Hyatt Place locations and were really impressed with them. This one was ok, just ok. The blanket on our bed had stains, there wasn't any hand cream provided in the room, and the breakfast was eh. For the most part we had a nice stay but if we were to stay in the area again this hotel would not be our first choice, it wasn't worth the money.

The carpet was wet and the air conditioner was so noisy that it woke us up several times in the night. Housekeeping never cleaned our room or made the bed

The room was very comfortable with a seating area separated from the bed which allowed my husband to work without disturbing me.

Beautiful, comfortable , quiet hotel

Breakfast was ok, fresh and handmade, ok selection, hot pancakes and bacon.

Had to pay double because I was charged with my cash app card and then when I arrived to check in they said they do not accept that form of payment. I thankfully had the money in my main bank account to pay but I won’t be receiving a refund for a week. The hotel was not as nice as it looked in the pictures. No microwave in the room. The fridge didn’t even work properly on the highest setting and I had breast milk to store in the fridge for my newborn baby. Oh and to top it all off we got lice from the hotel!

We didn’t have any disturbances during our stay. It is in a quiet area with a lot of stores and restaurants nearby. The beds were comfortable, but the sofa bed mattress needed to be replaced. We enjoyed the pool. The staff we interacted with provided great service. Overall, our stay was good.

Front desk staff was rude and not helpful. Attitudes when ask for my mom and I to be placed nearby each other. Did let me any of us know about the restaurant hours or where the ice machines were located

The location of this hotel is good as far as restaurants, shops and a nice gym nearby if you need that, but it was not a very clean hotel and they weren’t accommodating when I had to leave early for allowing me to cancel my second night of stay. Is exceptionally overpriced for it is.

Clean and comfortable!

Whenever I come to Virginia, this is my hotel of choice. This visit was not good. We had horrible people over top our heads. Quiet hour is 9:00 pm, but the people upstairs, they wrestled, played ball, running, jumping, slamming doors, etc until apx 1:45 am in the morning. I had to call management to get relief. When 5:30 am came, the horrible noise came again! It was double the noise! The quiet hour needs to be taken more seriously! Our stay was horrible. We paid our money, and just wanted a peaceful night rest. Breakfast was ok, until people came down, with inappropriate attire on. See thru robes, with underwear and bras showing, kids running everywhere, making a mess of everything! This wasn’t a good stay at all. I’m a regular at this hotel, but, after this stay, I won’t be anymore.

Just took some time to get away and enjoy a nice quiet evening away for the night.

Whenever, I come to VA, this is my favorite place to stay, but this stay was different this time. The people over top of us was serious, rude and loud after hours. We had to call the front desk for relief!! I’m thinking that they need to be more assertive with the noise ordinance at 9:00 pm other then that, this is a great place to stay.

Great location with easy access to the surrounding shopping areas.

I booked for myself and 4 kids for a birthday so we could enjoy the pool with a small amount of noise. The pool was fine, it was very dim in the area and not bright at all which was pretty okay. When we got back to the room I noticed the front light didn’t work, AND there were ants in the sink then on the bathroom floor. I cleaned them up and I was going to let it go, HOWEVER, when I pulled out the sofa bed there were chips all crushed up on the mattress pad thing all folded up in the bed. Lifted up the coach cushions and there was a scrunchy, a ring, HAIR, and white stains that I can almost bet what it was.. I lost it after this. I called the front desk which they were never pleasant and very monotoned and nonchalant, they switched my room however that’s the ONLY compensation they did offer, very ridiculous. I had to pack up myself and 4 kids and move rooms at 11pm at night. Very unfortunate. The next room you could smell the cleaners which leads me to believe the first room was never cleaned at all.

I stay at a good number of hotels and this place is really good, highly recommend.

The overall appearance of the property was decent, its obvious some care and thoughtfulness was put into the ambience of the lobby. The rooms were fine except for come foul smell seeping from hallways. I did enjoy the eatery/dinning area in the lobby, the complimentary breakfast was enjoyable. All in all my stay was fine.

The hotel must have new owners and they are rude. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was lovely. It has declined a great deal and had a strange odor on the couch and towels. Not impressed and I will not return.

This is a beautiful hotel and although it felt a little lacking in friendliness of staff from first impressions. It turned out to be a very nice getaway. The things that kinda disappointed were the space of the room, no tub in room, no microwave in room, however they did provide a general are where one was located. I feel that although the space was smaller than imagined, the peacefulness, cleanliness, and overall presentation of things made any initial disappointments subside. The breakfast tasted great and was laid out beautifully. It was also in walking distance to many surrounding stores.

The hotel has exceptional and accommodating staff; hands down, it has the best breakfast compared to other hotels like the Hilton.

The manager was extremely nice, unfortunately my partner is allergic to animals, and the website stated not pet friendly, but it is, so if you have allergic reactions to animals, not the place, also a $30 late check out fee is absurd, out of every hotel I have ever stayed, I have never had a charge for going past the check out time, so I was not happy about that. The place was clean, but still could smell animal dander and the couch was dusty.

There were several issues with my room. The door stopper was almost torn out of the floor. Upon arrival. There was a stain on my couch. Part of the molding was frayed around the room. There was no microwave, which I thought was odd. The icemaker on our floor also did not work Checking in was less than pleasant due to the fact that we were on a business trip and I had to handover my personal card for the incidental fee

I was there for 3 nights. I'm a handicapped senior citizen. My room was very accessible for my walker. Everyone was so very nice and accommodating to me, even the housekeeping staff. The breakfast was delicious as well. I will definitely stay there again.

There were a lot of children and Adolf Hitler supporters running around the Sunday morning of check out and it was very uncomfortable otherwise great stay

Hockey tournament had the hotel overrun with loud families. People were coming and going all night and every step and toilet flush was heard.

The hotel was very clean and check in was easy. The staff was excellent and the place was very well laid out and in a good area.

The property only takes major bank credit cards... so I had to stay at a different hotel because although they took my money from my debit card which still hasn't been refunded a week later.. and the desk person was quite rude with me..the hotel looked nice and I would have loved yo have stayed..
