Property close to a function I attended. Friendly informative staff. Room clean and neat. Hall bathroom in lobby neat. Breakfast inside building very convenient. Plenty of choices. Visiting family. Excellent stay but there were issues with our reservation - when we arrived they didn’t have us in their system. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we got it all worked out. The hotel is in a convenient location, clean, and well maintained.

I checked into property thinking that the pool was open the person at the counter told me I could have booked somewhere else after she checked me in. If I knew that was an option I would of canceled then but I wasn’t told until after and I feel robbed out of my money especially when it was not even worth that price

When i initially went in I was told there are no Available rooms , I went on booking.com and it showed there were available rooms and I booked one went back inside and the worker stated he had already told me there were no rooms I explained I had booked on booking.com and he said he still don’t have any rooms then he magically fixed it so I could have a room.

I stayed in an accessible room and the bathroom and shower floors were tile. That was very dated and in poor condition. Especially around the drains. The water temperature was unstable to the point of being unsafe. With both the bathroom sink and the shower, you could adjust the water temperature and it would then either go to a freezing temperature or a scalding temperature without ever touching the handle. Sometimes the water never got hot no matter how long you let it run. This situation was not just uncomfortable, but also unsafe at times. I won’t be returning to this hotel.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the location was close to the highway and made traveling around the area simple. Breakfast selection was unique and good. Elevators and hallways were clean. Location was good. I travel a more than average amount and have stayed probably 200 hotels. I don’t often leave reviews, good or bad. I will say I don’t often opt for Hilton branded hotels because in my experience, you don’t get what you pay for. I was actually in the area for an even in Virginia Beach but wanted to be in a more central location and wanted an indoor pool so I chose this location for its pool and hot tub. Well, the hot tub was empty and the pool was FRIGID. The beds were hard, the pillows had no density, we had to lean our whole weight on the bathroom door to get it to latch. The conditioner bottle in the shower was empty. But that’s not the worst of it. I opened the bar of soap to wash my hands and it was already used. You could see dirt and dried bubbles on it. I am not a germaphobe but that’s disgusting. I didn’t say anything because we were booked for two nights and I am always wary of some sort of retaliation when complaining. If the hotel is willing to cut corners by not replacing a bar of soap that costs pennies, where else are they sacrificing cleanliness? I stayed in a Hampton Inn in Columbus, Ohio in January that was decent but also stayed in a DoubleTree in Dublin, Ohio that month that left a lot to be desired. Choice and Best Western are usually cheaper and much much nicer and cleaner than what I’ve seen from Hilton. This will be my last stay with Hilton because of clear lack of standards.

I was really disappointed with my stay. The room had a strong mildew smell that hit me as soon as I walked in and never went away. The hallways and overall atmosphere felt eerie and poorly maintained, which made it hard to relax. For the price, I expected a clean, comfortable environment, but this fell short. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The whirlpool is out of service. I called to confirm it was working and the pool was open/heated before making the reservation. The staff, service, cleanliness, and interactions were top notch !!! On the politeness/friendly scale we haven't come across many Grade A staffs in our previous travels……until this stay. Your staff is unique. Now for the toilet. Lol, it was fine for my 4’ 8” mother in law but for me and my sweetie not so much. The toilet is definitely a bit low, with my Sarcoidosis ( inflammation disease) getting up off of it was a bit rough. Also the bathroom door stop. Apparently my right foot and your door stop hit it off, they really made a connection. Other than the toilet a little low and the door stop on the floor you still are 100 percent worthy of a 5 star rating ! Thank you for everything!!!!

At 3am I woke up in a sweat. It was still 78°. I checked, and it was set to cool and air was coming out, but it was not cold at all. If my husband had been awake I would have suggested we switch rooms, but since he was sleeping, I let it go. We both mentioned it to the front desk the next morning. We got an apology and they asked if we were Hilton members. That was it. Breakfast: there were no serving utensils. There was a sign for Mexican omelets, but no omelets. The same for oatmeal. The sausage was questionable, and my husband was afraid to eat the hardboiled eggs. The coffee in the lobby was good and the bed was comfortable. The night front desk clerk was nice, but difficult to understand because he didn’t enunciate. I guess $111 gets you the same stay that $40 got you pre-COVID.

This was my husbands first time in Chesapeake in 30 years so we intentionally chose a Hampton hotel to attend his parents 55th wedding anniversary. The staff was phenomenal, especially Ebony. Our room however, was not great. The shower curtain was too short for the tub so water puddled on the floor, causing the restroom door to expand and not close properly. The sink faucet water was cold not matter how long it ran. Then there’s was the fire alarm the morning of October 27th at 2:30am. Great staff, but very forgettable experience.

The fire alarm came on around 2am, had to evacuate until the Fire Department cleared everyone to come back inside, and it wasn't any running water in the whole hotel to take a shower before I checked out this morning. I wasn't happy at all about that!

Arrived on Thursday, by Saturday , came in at 2:00pm. No Clean Towels,washcloths,trash baskets were not emptied,Bed linings were not changed or made up. Went to front desk for room to get towels washcloths ect. for room service, said they would take care of it. waited a hour and told them again. We went back out and came back in at 7:30pm. Nothing was Done! Paid for this service! Checked out early Sunday Morning! Will not be back!!

Enjoyed my stay. Housekeeping staff were top of line for friendliness. Had lovely chats in hallway. Coffee seemed a bit weak. Only real complaint is handicap parking being used as loading zone. I’m 76 with disabled niece. I lost my place each morning to rude families loading baggage. Saturday morning all 4 marked had no placards until after 11 checkout time.

We arrived at the hotel midnight, room was dirty there was a used towel hanging in the bathroom door, bedding was obviously not changed but just tidy up there was hair on the pillow and under the comforter, sofa bed linen full of brown stain, there was trash in the trash can. Surrounding very dusty. We called from desk about problem she sent somebody and the guy was caught off guard to find out the problem obviously he jas no idea he said they told him just bring some blanket he just got clock inn for the shift he was so embarrassed and apologetic we help him change all the linens. How ever the front desk shows no care I even went to the front desk in the morning and explain the promblem the response I got was jus ok. Didn't even apologized or anything just ok showed no cares as well. Very terrible experience.

All in all it was fine but there was a issue with the drain in the shower and by the time you were done you were standing shin deep in stopped up water and took forever to drain so you had to wait for another to shower which was pretty inconvenient.

Also, the hot and cold water could not be adjusted in the shower. And it took FOREVER for the water to warm up. We opted for a room with a roll in shower to accommodate our son who uses a power chair. The shower stall itself was very nice. But there was a 2-3 inch high step to just get in the bathroom, which is not wheelchair friendly. The step should at least have a glow-in-the-dark strip so nobody breaks a toe on it in the middle of the night.

No complaints about the main traffic areas of the property! Clean and well maintained. Breakfast was great everyday! Staff were mostly kind and approachable. Housekeeping and breakfast staff were really kind and helpful. There were a few staff that were more interested in interacting with each other than to even acknowledge customers but that was only a handful. The rooms on the property need some updates potentially brightening up the rooms would enhance the look of cleanliness. I would definitely stress the need to replace the carpet. In fact I would suggest starting with that carpet. It only took one time barefoot for seconds on that carpet and then never forgot my slides again

The Hotel smelled like Clorox when u walked in. It was in terrible shape mold and ripped wallpaper. Lamp shades in the lobby were all torn and we had to request housekeeping three times to make up our room and get towels Staff answered but didn’t act upon requests. Room I booked on Expedia was not even an existing room at this property. Had to purchase an air mattress to use in order for my family to all have someplace to sleep. If you lose something, forget about being able to get it back. Left non monetary value items in my room (item never left the room went from suitcase to hotel bed ONLY) and the items have vanished into thin air two days later. No one physically looks for items, just look at a log on a computer.

I arrived early and asked for an early check-in. They said the room was not cleaned yet, but would be in an hour or so. This is absolutely fine. However when I came back 2 hours later they checked me in to a different room! They didn't even tell me they had done it. I got up to the room with my luggage only to find out they had given me a small (sleeps 4) room instead. Please keep in mind I had prepaid for this room! When I went down to the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do. They did not have any of the bigger suites available. They offered no recourse to their actions. On the contrary, they actually became rude and seemed to be upset I was not OK with the situation. I spent an hour on the phone with Hotels.com. Through this I was able to get a price difference refund.

I paid for my stay at Hampton Inn & Suites through hotels.com and Hampton Inn charged me AGAIN for my stay by them. I had brought this error up to the hotel clerk during my stay since it kept popping up on my banking app and they assured me that I would not be charged. I then covered myself by calling hotels.com during my stay to make them aware if the situation and a representative called Hampton Inn directly to make sure they were aware that my stay with them was already paid for through them. I was assured by hotels.com that I would NOT be charged. Then I returned home a charged showed up by Hampton Inn & Suites and I was charged by the hotel anyway for a stay I had already paid for through hotels.com.

The staff was absolutely amazing! We were in town for a cheerleading competition, and my wife put a picture of our daughter in her uniform on our door. The maid saw the picture and noticed her in the hallway and told her how beautiful she was and wished her luck, and gave her a hug. The sweetest woman ever! I can’t say enough about the entire staff! Great people.

My air did not work in my room, I got no sleep and can probably be seen walking the halls at 3:30am trying to get some air……there was no hot water, maintenance was called to my room to get the hot water working And he was BLEEDING all over my room!! I was told by the office manager that I would get a full refund and then I never received a refund!!! This was the worst stay I’ve ever had at a Hampton Inn!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The room was definitely not the cleanest. The hallway smells of roach spray. The breakfast was good. Service desk was excellent. Bathroom was dirty and carpet was dirty. Hallway leading to the room smells sour.

The rooms are dated. Pillows are sub par. Air con and heat unit blow right onto the bed. Sink fills up immediately and drains slow.

I wish they'd get the hot tub fixed. I guess most people don't care, but this is an amenity I look forward to. This was the second time we had stayed there with the two stays separated by about two months, and both times they said they were "waiting for a part."

We stay here every Dec 25 when visiting our daughter in NC. It is the closest and most convenient to 168. Not bad for the price.

Bathroom has a short so the light would not turn-off. Also, the bathrooms smelled like cigarettes. Noticed cigarette ashes on the back of the toilet. We had to sleep with the bathroom door closed because of the smell and the light. AC and Heat unit has a short. When it reached the target temp, it continued to run and started blowing cold air instead of shutting off. The unit fan was on AUTO and not ON.

The staff is excellent at the Hampton Inn-Suites Chesapeake Battlefield Blvd. They will go out of their way to listen to your concerns and make you feel welcome. There are also many dining options located in walking distances from the Hampton Inn. You will not be disappointed. The atmosphere at the Hampton-Inn Chesapeake Battlefield is very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the mornings and coffee is available in the lobby all day long.

Room smelt like weed but was overall clean besides the pair of shoes left in a drawer from previous guest. Hot tub was broken which is unfortunate as that was the main reason I picked this location for the indoor pool/hot tub combo.

Our room was spacious and clean. We are impressed with how comfortable the bed was the layout encouraged relaxation. However, the room’s phone was not working. They did not have breakfast the first morning. The lady said the juice machine was broken. She said that was why she couldn’t make the biscuits and gravy because she was cleaning up juice. the second day the breakfast was dry and it made our stomachs hurt. The coffee was fresh and flavorful.
