    Location No hot water in the morning. Then I was charged for a additional night when I checked out and was told I had to wait for the money to be replaced. When I clearly didn't authorize the transaction. I will not be staying with this hotel again.

    Location was good. Bathrooms were dirty. I took pictures to show the front desk. They said they would tell housekeeping. Dirt on floor and on baseboards. Dust on cabinet under sink that you could write in. Breakfast was not good. But the kitchen workers were wonderful! They were amazing and friendly. The pictures I took are not great. Lighting was bad. But you can write in the dust.

    Location worked well for us. Rooms and bedding were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate with numerous selections. Staff was outstanding - front desk, breakfast attendant, everyone we dealt with - very friendly and helpful! Lightning in bathroom was especially dim. Bathtub and sink stopper in Room 303 could use some attention. To be fair - did not mention this to staff.

    I didn't really eat breakfast because we were doing a lunch cruise at Spirit of Norfolk. However, the coffee was excellent!! The space in the room was a bit tight for two queen beds. There was hardly room enough to bring the luggage cart inside.

    It’s an older property as fast as HI’s go but still clean and comfortable. Even better, the staff were great! Bryan at the front desk is someone I remembered from a stay at the HGI in Chesapeake - top notch. Karen hosted breakfast and sang softly to the soundtrack. I had my headphones and YT music but didn’t need them. People make the difference and this team rocked it! Don’t hesitate at all to stay at this one

    I had a great stay thankful to Eugene who made sure I had adequate accommodations for an elderly person. My only concern was having a door with 2 peep holes which I covered with tissues but was something unusual. I &am a regular at all Hilton properties throughout.

    Once we checked into the room we notice the bed was broken, we tried to call guest services from the room but the phone wasnt working so we had to go downstairs to inform them. The front desk employee stated that maintenance was on break but as soon as they got back she would send them up to check out the bed....well its no fixing that bed just give us another room. After explaining that to the front desk employee they decide they would give us another room. After finally settling in after a long drive my family is exhausted so we go to bed only to keep waking up hot we didnt have access to control the air conditioning, it kept cutting on and off all night. We couldnt wait for morning to get here, at check out we explained about the air and the front desk employee said she will see if her manager can give us some points back...ma'am I don't want points back I want a discount on this room! But nothing as of yet....

    This is not the best Hampton Inn I've stayed in but it was clean and adequate. The staff was welcoming, efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable but didn't have all of the toiletries I have gotten at other locations. The only snacks available were from a vending machine. It would have been nice to have some snacks available for purchase in the lobby. Breakfast was nice but a little lacking in pastries, fruit and yogurt. It was fine for one night but I just didn't feel as comfortable here as I have in other Hampton Inns.

    This location is very unlike other Hampton Inns in which I’ve stayed. Check-in was okay, but we weren’t told breakfast hours. Coffee in the lobby was cold in the evening. It took an hour for someone to come address the sticky bathroom floor and non-working t.v. Everything seems just a little shoddy: extra lock on the door was loose; toilet tank lid had large chips out of it; toilet ran off and on all night. I cannot recommend this site. (Plus we were given a room next to a pretty busy road. It wasn’t much of an issue for us but could be for others.)

    This property was disgusting. There were pubic hairs all over our shower right when we checked in. The window shades were broken and would pull down so our window stayed open and had to use pillows to block out the light. And the peep hole to our door was broken. I told the front desk staff and said we can move you to a different room. We were headed out to dinner so I said when we get back we’re pack and move. When we got back it was a new front desk lady and when I told her the situation she said “sorry I’m new, I don’t know what to do”

    It was a quick sleep and shower stay on the way to Norfolk cruise terminal. Great stay as usual for Hampton. The hotel is under construction/remodel and it’s obvious. It did not impact our stay in any way but we are also not picky people and go with the flow as long as it’s comfortable beds, hot showers and clean rooms. Will stay here again for our next cruise!

    Was greated by Karen at the front desk. Very kind and humble . Stayed there for 2 nights. The 2nd day housekeeping Angie cleaned the room. People working there are very nice. The area where the hotel is has Wawa near by and if u need to order food they were all 6 miles away but has variety. Yhw hotel has some construction going on but we had jo trouble .everythign was clean . Totall recommend it .

    We have stayed here many times a year for decade. This is the first time we met two employees that were horrible to say the least. Nicole who gave us trouble at check in claiming we hadn’t paid when Expedia had also told us at 3pm she was canceling our reservation when we were there at 2:54pm. Made me pay all o we again using my credit card. When my wife asked about Karen’s who runs the breakfast there was stare and dead silence claiming she had no idea who that was. I came back down after consulting with Expedia and she brushed me off telling me she is done for the day. That’s when I met with Will and he was less than cordial and raised his voice. Well they both did. My wife wanted to check and leave so came back down again to meet Jennifer who took less than 3 seconds to look up account and confirm it was paid by Expedia and returned my credit card funds. Jennifer saved the day but I’m hoping to never see Nicole or Will. Thank You Jennifer. You made our visit turn corner to happiness

    Enjoyed the coffee service in the lobby. Room location very noisy with traffic! Loud cars, trucks and motorcycles until after 2:00 AM. Good breakfast. Lost money in the drink machine on the 4th floor. Notified the front desk and was told to contact the vending machine company. Really? For $3.00? Hotel should have a petty cash fund to reimburse guests up to $5.00. This should not be the responsibility of the guest! Hotel management should be responsible for having a plan in place to accommodate their guests. Probably will not stay at this location again.

    First and foremost, the staff was great but that is the only good thing about the stay. The king suite was small and right next to maid service room. There seemed to be drilling noises coming from there and when my wife informed the front desk, they said that they were working on the internet service and the noise could not be avoided. The shower would not get hot so we took cold showers, the carpet through out the hotel looked old and dingy. I have stayed in many Hampton Inns and usually they are pretty good but this one does not live up to their standards.

    It was very comfortable, The stuff was very friendly and respectful, especially the friend employee will. He was very friendly understanding and patient. Also the kitchen employee named Karen what a lovely lady very friendly willing to help no problem with her service overall all the stuff I met in the hallway, cleaning bringing towels and all they were the most funnest people I met, and I’ve been to a couple of hotels, if I have to recommend some one or my friends or my family, you guys gonna be the first choice thank you. I enjoy my stay at the Hampton Inn.

    My room was very stuffy and smelled like it had mold. The staff was very nice. I was really impressed with the breakfast service with Angel and Shaq. They went well above to make sure our experience was wonderful. When I wanted a waffle the mix came out needing stirring. Angel asked me to give her a moment. When I looked around Angel had made my waffle and delivered it to my table with everything I could possibly need with it. Her kindness made my day.

    If you want a restful night’s sleep this is not the place. My son and I went to bed at 11pm in preparation for a soccer game. For hours cars/trucks drove by like it was a drag strip. I thought our window was open it was so loud! Now at 3am, a car alarm has been going off steadily for the past hour or so. I am typically a deep sleeper but this was so bad I actually went to the front desk to complain only to hear there was nothing they could do and I was welcome to leave…at 3am. On top of not being able to sleep, I was greeted with no-solution, no-remorse customer service. There was no offer to switch rooms…or a refund…(even after I asked). The only option was to leave. I asked for a manager’s card and will hopefully get some resolution, but this mom is exhausted, frustrated and not looking forward to a 5-hour drive tomorrow after consistently interrupted sleep.

    Needs updating. First room smelled like a wet basement. Second room was fine. Very small room. Bathrooms shower could be cleaner with some bleach! Furnishings are so dated!
