Staff was informative and friendly. Breakfast cafe wouldn’t take cash for some reason. Found a big spider in my room but otherwise the room was clean and the property as well. Close to shopping centers and restaurants.

No breakfast. No maid service. If I wanted trash removed or more coffee during my multi day stay, I had to ask for it. Sliding glass door to the shower was difficult to move. Plus at the shower was a door stop to the bath's door that I tripped on twice.

I liked the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the location. Unfortunately the smoke alarm went off twice during the night. I have had ringing in my ears ever since.The smoke alarms are so loud. I know they are loud for a reason. I will give it another week but I might go to and ENT to see if I can get some relief. Otherwise, I enjoyed my visit. I drove up from N.C. to be close for an early morning doctors appointment.

The hotel is old and outdated. It smells musty. They said they would clean our room every other day and that didn’t happen. I had to ask for clean towels and empty our trash. The elevator is not marked clearly. I would not stay at a Marriott courtyard again. The bistro was tacky and the soup we had was watery. However all the staff were courteous and friendly.

This is the worst Marriott Hotel we have stayed in. It was old and run down. The room AC was loud and would not cycle properly. The hotel was recently renovated and the room was clean with new furniture but the elevator and common are were dirty and poorly maintained. Only one elevator for the 3 floor hotel.

The elevator was not working and according to the young lady at the front desk it has been inoperable for a while. This should have been mentioned prior to reserving and also there should have been an attendant to assist with taking luggage to rooms.

The front staff were great BUT the hotel had no elevator for the 4 days we stayed. The room was never cleaned our entire stay. The fire alarms went off at 3am and then 345 am. When we called the front they just said “everything’s fine” as soon as they picked up the phone. When we brought all the these things to their attention we were offered free breakfast our last morning. For the area the facilities are lacking to say the least.

So overall, the experience was good outside of the elevator, not working and me having my mom who currently uses a cane and walker. But they were very accommodating and were able to actually find us a room on the first floor and we’re very helpful with the transition, especially the gentleman named Tyron

The phones do not work. If you need anything you have to go down to the desk to get it, we stayed two nights and did not receive fresh towels or a reset room. We received half a roll of tissue and when I called for some the lady told me I had to come get it. ELEVATORS ARE BROKEN, first room was completely dirty. Only 1 out 4 people were friendly. Definitely would not stay here anymore.

My stay was good. My room (226) was clean and the hotel was quiet. I did have three concerns to feedback. 1) The hotel elevator was out of commission and no status of when the elevator would be repaired was provided. 2) In the vicinity of Room 230, it had a strong smell of THC being smoked. I could not smell it in my room, so I did not bring it up to the front desk. 3) The sliding doors entering into the lobby were not locked after 10pm until 6am when the hotel staff returned to man the front desk. Other hotels I've stayed at have a better security posture by having guest use their room key to open the lobby door after hours. I understand the hotel is under renovation of sorts, but security and safety should still be a top priority.

I loved the balcony! The room was nice and clean. It was cozy and I felt safe. I think staff should be dressed more appropriately, I didn’t know if I was speaking to a staff member or a guest at the hotel because they’re dressed in jeans and ripped up pants. Other than that after the 3 day the toilet kept backing up on us. It wouldn’t flush completely. I stayed a total of 7 days

We requested cleaning service, and fresh towels at check in. We never received any of it. The elevator had holes in the interior walls. There was a strange odor in the room when we walked in and we never figured out what it was. The first floor at the elevator halfway looked like a disaster area. Glass doors were brown papered off, with "do not enter" written on it with a marker. Looked like a child did this. For a "Courtyard Marriot", it was shabby. The staff were very nice, but you rarely seen anyone at the front desk. For the price, it was a dud

It’s been a year or so since I stayed at a Marriott but thought I’d give them a shot since there were no balconies at the other hotels. And the same thing happened again as with every time I book with Marriott! I reserve and pay for a king suite with a balcony and inform them I’ll be arriving late. I arrive at 1am and end up with a standard queen room and no balcony! COMPLETELY opposite! I am so mad and will never book with a Marriott hotel again.

I want to state that this property was under construction at the time of my visit. Staff was great, lobby area beautiful, outside was a mess (due to construction so understandable). The room itself however. The couch visibly stained very dirty. The rolling offixe chair. Needed to be replaced 5 yrs ago, i had to put a towel down before sitting on it. The seat was ripped and worn, the arms gross. The bed was clean and the bathroom was clean.

There was excessive construction being complete at the motel. Parking was very limited. Outside was not well-lit and I felt uncomfortable when walking at night from my vehicle into the lobby. Staff was apologetic for current conditions of motel and professional in check-in process. There was an additional hold placed on my card that I was not aware of until check-in.

The place was so nasty! The carpets were disgusting. The restaurant was never open and the hotel had the worse smell. It was by far the worse place zi have ever stayed. I will never stay at a courtyard by Marriott again. I have filed a formal complaint. The only good thing we're the sweet young ladies that checked us in and out. They are far to good to work at that place.

The exterior of the property was under renovation which we did not hear about until 3 weeks before our arrival. (We made our reservations months ago.) while we appreciated to notification, the rooms were a bit run-down and need of a good cleaning. The exterior and interior renovation should address this problem, but we would have appreciated notice before we booked of the renovtaions.

This was the dirtiest hotel I've stayed at in years. Stains on the carpets, stains on the couch in the room, desk chair cover was completely worn through. The room smelled of mold and cigarettes and the AC unit was loud and didn't work well. I can't believe they are renting rooms in this place. No coffee service in the lobby in the morning and front desk staff members were glued to their cell phones. Oh, and they're under construction which would've been nice to know because I would've avoided it. At $162 in Chesapeake, VA . . . this was a complete rip off and I feel cheated.

Property should be condemned. I had a hole in the bathroom floor (could see cement). The soft and carpet was unbearable. I was so afraid of the germs that I couldn't sleep in the bed. I slept in my car. I was robbed of a good nights sleep at a Marriott property and robbed of $200. for a dirty dump. Never will I trust a Marriott property on line again.

My disappointment rest in the fact that the hotel is very dated. It was clean over all but very dated and over priced..I really pickef this because of the name and being familiar with Marriot but this hotel needs a overhaul especially with more morden and updated places to stay surrounding it. With more to offer. This most certain was not the representation of the brand I am accustomed to. But clean over all other than the halway carpet which really needs replacing. It ok for one maybe two nights but nothing more than rhat for me.

The stay was horrible, we were there for my daughters wedding weekend. The TV didn't work in one of the rooms, we couldn't get access to the internet, we had 2 babies with no microwave in any of our rooms, the bath tub would not drain, there were bugs, no free breakfast and $12 for avacado toast, the telephone in one of the rooms didn't work but even with the other two working you couldn't get a hold of anyone at the front desk. The whole hotel smelled of marijuana, the staff was not helpful, didn't tell you how to get to your room or when checkout was, the front door to the hotel looked like it was coming off the hinges. The rooms next to ours had no handles and were left so anyone could go in there, we opened one of the doors and it looked like poop was all over the floor, two of our rooms had those rooms beside them. We overheard the cleaning staff talking about what they would be taking from people's rooms. WORST STAY EVER and it wasn't like it was cheap to stay there. That was not what you would expect from a Marriott.

Bed was hard couldn't sleep; pillows were the size of a small throw pillow for a chair. The bathroom tissue dispenser was rusted out. Asked to be moved to another room was told all the rooms were the same. The early morning someone tried to break into the room. After the second night, I spoke to another attendant and was relocated to another room with, which was much better. But my stay was the worst. I would wish a four night stay, like I had on anyone.

Loved it for location, restaurants everywhere within walking distance if you have too and a variety. Malls and other stores within walking distance. Indoor pool was out of order for some reason, sheets had been washed you could tell but still had some stains, bedspread and on the carpet. Need a microwave in the rooms, and couldn't get service in room or outside.

The rooms were old, dark and out dated. The water pressure was a steady drip in the sink, the bed was very uncomfortable and sagging in the center. The in-room coffee maker was dirty and dusty, the coffee cup lids didn’t fit the coffee cups, the ice container didn’t have a liner, instead had a small trash bag for a liner.

I had to change my room a few times because the rooms smelled like Mildew&Mold. The floors were still kind of wet the top of the wall paper was peeling . The ceiling was water stained the hallway smelled and was also wet. YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE AND SMELL THAT THERE WAS SOME WATER DAMAGE. The room floors carpet was stained and nasty. You had to make sure you wore shoes all the time. This was a trip for me to visit my daughter who is stationed in Norfork. My visit time ever staying in a hotel in Virginia. I was very disappointed especially for the amount of money spent to stay here. The environment was very loud. There's construction going on next door, directly across the parking lot.That also appeared to have water damage. I'm very disappointed that this property carries the Marriott name. The customer service at times could be more professional. The guest above me and in the side of me were extremely loud. I asked for a top floor room when I arrived and they gave me a second floor even through when i booked it was in my recommendations.
