Willow Springs Motel is a budget-friendly option with a convenient location, but it is an older facility with some cleanliness and maintenance issues. The motel is close to the train tracks, which can be noisy, and some rooms lack basic amenities like a refrigerator and microwave.

We got here at like 1am and the guy that checked us in was very rude and didn't say more than he had to. The next morning he was a little bit better, at least he waved and smiled. This hotel is right next to the train tracks and it was very loud.

There were transients sitting in front of doors smoking cigarettes, the walk up to the third floor had the most hideous odor and there was vomit on 2 of the room doors. It was just a disgusting experience. I'm not one to to even take time to write a review, but this was deserving to hopefully save someone from our experience. This was worse than you get what you pay for.

A bare bones experience. No amenities like hairdryer, tissues, iron, or fridge. For the price and sketchy location, definitely not worth the price. I was alone, and the location (behind other buildings and next to the railroad tracks) set the setting for a Dateline episode in my mind. It was dark and scary, especially at night. Maybe great for truck drivers or guys on a road trip, but not a great environment for single women or families. Regardless of how old and run down the place was, I have to admit it was clean. So kudos there. Front desk person (not sure if owner) was very pleasant and helpful when I asked for a hairdryer and iron.

Avoid. Be advised, there are people living in the rooms there and this place is a public health hazard. The strong smell of urine at the base of the staircase by the office comes from a tenant living on the second floor dumping a bucket of liquid from their room in the morning. Biohazard. 3rd world stuff going on there. There are only a few rooms available and only about 3 cars in the parking lot. You do the math. If you absolutely have to stay here, the bed and room was not the worst I have ever been in. The train noise is constant. I checked out early and found another hotel which I gladly paid for to reward myself for making it out of there.

Parking was fine. However, the facilities are old and poorly maintained. Also, the motel is located immediately next to the railroad tracks that run thru town. We left after one night because of the noise. It literally kept us awake. So, despite having made reservations for two nights we stayed only one. We spent our second night at the Holiday Inn Express. Much better.

The room was cold when we arrived, which we understood. Why heat an unoccupied room? The problem was that we got to our room around 7pm. It took until after 1am for the room to be comfortable. Good thing we travel with extra blankets. The hot water in the shower lasted about 2 minutes and dropped to luke warm. My mother tried to take a bath. She found if she ran the water for 2 minutes, shut it off and then turned it on again she could get a little more hot water.

If you are looking for a bed to sleep in that's clean and cheap, this is it. It was tough to find affordable rates in a place that had two beds. This motel had both but........ We were there during some fires in the neighboring city of Medical Lake. That town is very close and had to be evacuated and this town-Cheney-was under a "Be ready to leave at a moments notice" alert level. This hotel had a very sketchy look to by the looks of the guests and some guests sitting outside smoking (while surrounded by the all the forest fire smoke) said they were living here. From that comment and the look of the building and its location, it had a flop house look to it. Well we survived the place and the fires, left early and probably would select another location if staying west of Spokane.

The check in worker was extremely rude and prejudiced. Was harsh about the animals and charged me a pet fee disregarding the fact they’re service animals and I have a letter that says to protect under the disabilities act. I also never got my money back but there were no damages. The area was overall very nosy and unsafe and a lot of chaos and fights happening around. I heard 4 gunshots on the property too and none of us felt safe. My dog was on edge and was having anxiety due to the sounds and chaos and I was held “accountable” for that but rhe people causing the chaos and unsafety were not held accountable for anything.

We stay at Willow Springs annually while we fish at the lakes south of Cheney so we don't need much as far as lodging is concerned. The rooms are just OK. Fairly clean. Somewhat comfortable bed. No microwave or coffee maker or refer in the room. I think there are people living at the motel so there are dumpy vehicles in the parking lot. One van filled with garbage bags? The owner greeted us at the counter when we checked in. He is a nice man and he and his family have owned the place for about twenty years. I was a little surprised to find that he was going to charge my CC $40 per room for incidental damages (refundable at check out) instead of keeping my card open. We booked our room through Expedia and I didn't expect any additional charges when we arrived at the motel. Willow Springs is an old, basic, three story facility. it is not the least bit fancy and there are trains running behind the building all night long. But the location is convenient to both the old part of Cheney and the newer part (lots of services and restaurants) a mile or so to the north. The room is an adequately clean place to sleep for a reasonable $90 a night. We will probably go back next year.

The outside of this hotel was dingy and unkempt and there was a strong cannabis smell when we entered the room. It went away after running the A/C for a while. Our bill was DOUBLE what we were quoted. We were charged extra for everything. For $20 more we could have stayed at the Holiday Inn. The bed was clean but the room was so out dated. There are serious building code issues here. Like the light switch inside the shower. No cold water in the sink, just hot. We had a kitchenette room that we did not request. The cleanliness was questionable, I wouldn't cook there but I wasn't planning to anyway. Besides there weren't any tools or pots for cooking. But we were traveling with our dogs and the Holiday Inn does not allow pets. The train noise was not a big deal. The a/c fan covered that up. Watch out for the speed bump in the drive way. This place has serious safety concerns. We wont be back even though it was a good location for where we needed to be. Not unless theres a serious remodel and brought up to code.

We staid two nights in a two bed room as soon as we went up the stairs entered our room we wanted to leave. It smelled horrible, humid, dead, pee smell just very unpleasant and gross… everything is old and not very good at their service either. The workers are sketchy and giving weird vibes. The morning after they took out dirty towels and let us know that they would replace them as soon as there were any clean ones… never returned either any towels at all and on top of that there was a cleaning lady who would just not stop staring at you. I had gone to the store and came back and since I arrived at the parking lot she would not stop staring at me I went up the stairs to my room and she had to go out her way all the way to the parking lot to be able to still see me. I felt really uncomfortable I asked her if I could help her with anything from afar she motioned no I then asked her why did she keep staring at me And she never said anything just kept looking. Never going back again definitely 0 that place should not even be open any longer. Very disappointed.

It was clean and check-in and check-out were easy. The room and the property are quite basic, but what you'd expect for the price. Trains run right by the property, so it's a bit noisy. There is a great breakfast cafe nearby called Bene's.

The property looks nothing like the picture. My guess is this picture was taken when the Motel was brand new. I'd very much consider this picture to be false advertising. The floors were peeling up on the corners, the bathroom was warped, and it was not possible to close it. The landscaping and walkways were unkept and very dirty.

Well, for 2 nites paying $ 260.00 the only word that comes to mind about the properties would be Bulldozer.

Property doesn't look much like the picture for Expedia. The building is many shades of brown now, no white or blue. The staff is very helpful and is manned all the time, but at night ringing the bell wakes them from their sleep.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The facilities are old, worn, and in need of refreshing, but the room seemed clean. The back of the property is adjacent to a train line so my White Noise machine definitely helped. The drive to and from Spokane airport is not at all difficult, though its by no means in "the thick of things".

This is a very no frills place but it’s reasonably priced and convenient to dining options within walking distance

The room smells terrible. You have to open the door for at least 15 minutes to air it out. Railway behind the motel and the train comes every at lest every 2 hrs.the sirens is too loud. Book for 2 nights and no sleep for that two nights.

Was our room clean, yes it was. Very clean. Bed comfortable? Yes, we thought it was. Smelt clean also. Bathroom, shower and all, were clean and in good shape. Did we hear train noise? Some... however not as much or as impactful to the stay as some others state or want to convey. The train horn blew several times in the night, some rumbling however I am a light sleeper and these really did not bother me much. Returned to sleep. Now, the all important - Would we stay here again? Yes, yes we would should we pass through here again. For what we were charged, it was a good deal.

The motel is very run down, dark and dank. It's a seedy motel. It sits right next to train tracks, if anyone is a fan of "My Cousin Vinny" you'll have a good laugh when the train goes by. To quote Manny on Modern Family, "You lose so many amenities when the 'H' in hotel becomes an 'M'. With that said the check in/out staff were very friendly.

Pretty much just a bed to sleep on. A key was broken off in the deadbolt so it was just a knob lock, which made me uncomfortable.

If you just need a place to rest your head, it’s ok. Not the nicest, but decent enough. The picture looks a lot nicer than what it actually looks like.

This place is a bed. Don't expect more than a bed. At least the bed was comfortable. This being the last stop on a week long road trip of ours, I was SO thankful for working AC and finally a comfortable bed. That said, you get what you pay for. Place was in the middle of no where, tucked back in a lot right next to the train tracks. The building didn't shake, but you could definitely hear the train. Honestly didn't bug me personally, I grew up always hearing a train in the distance and I was so dead tired I passed out and stayed passed out, plus the AC was pretty loud and drowned it out fairly well. Tub and shower looked gross, gross stains on the wall. Bed was about the only thing that looked clean. No fridge or microwave, luckily there's some food options a few minutes away. We got Taco Bell. Room smelled stale and almost like cig smoke at first, but the AC fixed that. Not ADA friendly, no way up the stairs but taking them. The balcony was creepy, creaked and swayed like it was going to break under you. Parking lot is tiny and hard to maneuver in. TV got basic channels. Dude who checked us in didn't seem super friendly, but the guy during check out was super nice and cheery.

Police calls, noise, heavy cannabis use. In Cheney, you vannot escape trains at night. 1, 2, 4, and 5 am.

Staff is nice Room was not clean- even had a shirt previous tenant left behind. Sheets were clean but rest of room was dusty and dingy. Feels like a $45 a night hotel that is trying to cash in on COVID travel. Definitely not worth the price.
