    The location. The cleanliness of the rooms. I reserved three rooms at the Hampton Inn on Walden Avenue for my family while we were attending an event in the Buffalo area on the weekend of March 14, 2026. I checked in around 3:00 PM and specifically asked the front desk to ensure my family members could check in smoothly since all charges were being placed on my credit card and I had an important business conference call later that afternoon. The agent assured me my family would only need to show ID. That assurance turned out to be completely false. While I was in the middle of my business call, my sister-in-law called saying the front desk refused to let her check in without presenting a credit card. I then learned they had done the same thing to my sister moments earlier, forcing me to interrupt my call to deal with the situation. The agent working at that time appeared completely unaware of the arrangement, and the Front Desk Supervisor telling me to “calm down” while fixing their own mistake was incredibly unprofessional. Telling a customer to calm down when your staff created the problem is not how customer service should work. To make matters worse, my sister-in-law was also told they were hesitant to put their family on the 5th floor because her kids “could be loud.” That comment alone was inappropriate. The front desk staff working around 3:45 PM on March 14 clearly need better training in communication and customer service. Despite the convenient location, this experience makes me very reluctant to stay here again.

    We love staying in this hotel when we’re in Buffalo. It’s clean and in a convenient location for shopping, dining and is also close enough to the airport. The breakfast is pretty good for a complimentary breakfast. I’ve stayed here multiple times and will stay here again.

    The daily breakfast, pool, hockey room made the ideal set up for our group of youth hockey players. The hotel was close to everything imaginable. The Mall nearby is a rarity to see these days with foot traffic, restaurants, and kid activities. Quick food options and target are a stones throw away. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was welcoming & cookies were too good! The closet was small for our family of 4, and a little awkward with the dual barn style door for the bathroom. Not many drawers for clothing either. We made it work… and I wouldn’t let it deter me from staying here again.

    Went to a Sabres Game and chose this hotel for price and proximity to restaurants and stores! It did not disappoint! Check in was smooth and the room was spacious, clean and met all our needs. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options. We will definitely return if we go back to Buffalo!

    We checked in around 8pm. Front desk lady was not welcoming. Room was over 90degrees when we entered. Took over an hour for front desk lady to get us into a new room, while our 5 month old struggled with the extreme temperatures. She and one other guy were trying to troubleshoot the unit, we kept asking for a new room cause baby needed to go to bed for the night. Told her we could wait for the unit to be fixed. I had tried all the instructions have gave over the phone initially for over 30 mins so I knew it was really broke but still no concern for hospitality

    I recently stayed at the Hampton and overall had a good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a long weekend stay. I appreciated the hot breakfast each morning—it was fresh and well-stocked—and the workout area was impressive, especially having a Peloton available for guests. However, I wasn’t a fan of the room layout. The bathroom door opened directly in front of one of the beds rather than being tucked away, which made it feel less private when sharing the room. My biggest issue was the noise in the mornings. Our room was directly across from the cleaners’ area, and every day between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. we were woken up by loud talking and activity in the hallway. On the last morning, housekeeping even knocked at 8:30 asking when we’d be checking out, which felt rushed and forced me to get out of bed to answer. If you’re an early riser, this might not bother you, but for anyone hoping to sleep in a bit, I’d recommend requesting a room away from the cleaning station.

    We ended up in an accessible room, which we didn’t know meant that the shower was curbless. After showering, our room was flooded with water not just in the bathroom, but in the hall as well. We asked for another room and after coming up personally to assess the nature of the situation, Manager Keyahnah moved us to another room, though she warned us that it might not have a microwave. She must have seen the look of disappointment on my face because she offered a solution and I was blown away. Nothing beats customer excellence like carrying a microwave to another suite in order to ensure customer satisfaction. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable; not every client representative would be willing to do that, manager or not. We were overly impressed by Keyahnah’s commitment to customer excellence. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. We have stayed here before and though the breakfast was passable the last time that we stayed here, it was not extraordinary. This time around, they had all the usual items but in addition, there were hash browns that were not just tasty but also not oily, which is a rare find. Jarrett, who is a GM, was also very kind. He advised us on the happenings of the area and as a result, we decided to attend a couple of festivals in the surrounding area. We enjoyed ourselves so much so that we decided to stay anoth

    Shuttle driver was rude and I did not use the shuttle. I parked to check in and the front entrance was crowded with Uber drivers. I parked in front of the shuttle van with plenty of room and while I was checking in he continued to blow the horn at my wife in the passenger side of the car with no key. He backed up about 5 feet and drove around and parked next to my wife and stared at her then drove away. I would not consider that excellent customer service.

    All good except i arrived at midnight totally exhausted! What the! I get to my door as a big dog living next door starts barking. They said they could not move me. It barked loudly 3 times over 5 hrs. It was terrible. Not happy.

    We had ridiculously loud neighbors screaming and carrying on from10:00pm until after 1:00am. When you reserve here you get an email stating they tolerate NO PARTIES, it would be great if it were enforced. We reached out multiple times to the number we were given upon arrival that was to be utilized with any needs that may arise during our stay, however no one was answering so we had to look up the front desk number to get assistance. Due to booking through a third party vendor, the hotel said they could not credit us anything but they would have if we booked directly. We are very disappointed as we typically have enjoyed staying at this particular chain of hotels. We will not be staying again.

    The hotel was packed with teens. They were running up and down the halls-yelling and screaming. We called the front desk 3 times to address the issue-the 3rd time, nobody answered our call. We confronted them and told them they needed to quiet down-this led to pounding on the walls outside our room and an prank call on our room phone very late at night. In the morning, we weren't able to get anywhere near the breakfast area due to the volume of adolescents. During checkout, we requested to be reimbursed for the stay and reported what happened to the staff and manager. Due to our booking being through a 3rd party, they were unable to do that. They said they would arrange for us to get a free night in points, but those have not shown up in our account yet.

    Quickly booked this hotel on a whim so we would have somewhere to stay while in town for a concert and it did not disappoint! It seems it was in a nice, safe, not too populated area so that was great! The bed was so comfy for me, I had such an amazing sleep. The pool was nice as well! I wish there was a hot tub but that's all good! The hotel was decorated in a nice modern way and everything was so clean! Upon checking in we realized that our room's A/C was not working and they immediately switched us to another room so that was great! In terms of the breakfast that was also quite good! DIY waffles were nice, and usually I don't like the eggs and bacon that come with continental breakfast at hotels but this was not bad at all! Over all, a great, easy, safe stay and would come again!

    Not what it used to be. Breakfast should include an egg option. The first room had no air conditioning working and resulted in room changes after check-in. Even the dark roast coffee was weak. The staff was pleasant and attentive to the room issues.

    Overall the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the facilities were good. The staff was a bit grumpy and the outside trash bins were always full. The walls are a bit thin and the people on our sides were talking loudly at 10pm. Overall not a bad place for a night, but there is room for improvement.

    There was a group of teenagers running around, knocking on doors, and yelling at each other all three nights. The staff was totally ambivalent even though we called the front desk three times in one night. The pool was closed for renovations which wasn’t disclosed until a week before our stay when it was no longer refundable. Breakfast was good but we noticed on the first day that the apple juice was full of green and red floaty things that were really disgusting. We had a different juice on the last day that was fine. Otherwise the rooms were clean and check in went smoothly

    Front desk staff was very nice. Hotel is being renovated & new rooms are nice. Only issue was at 9:00am the day we were checking out, cleaning staff knocked once & then came into our room before we had a chance to answer. Check out is at noon and we had not checked out yet.

    Nothing worked. Card maker was broken when we arrived so we had to be walked up to the room by staff and let in. TV didn't work. Internet did not work. Thermostat on the wall didn't work but I was able to adjust the temperature using controls when I opened the panel on the air conditioner/heater located under the window. Room was not clean with garbage on floor by curtains. Sharp bedsprings poked out the side of mattress which was dangerous for anyone walking by.

    Paid almost $350 for this one night stay so we could attend the bills game the following day. I expected it to be at least average. Nope- place is very run down. Rooms are dated, mold on the bathroom ceiling, heat made a squeaking noise all night long. Wouldn’t stay here again especially for the price.

    When we arrived our room was 63 degrees. The heating system was fixed quickly for us which we appreciated but it took time to warm the room. The pool was quite cool as well and the hot tub was not working. The person who checked us in was matter of fact and did her job but a little friendliness would have been nice. Would not choose this hotel again.

    I would give 4.5 stars if possible. We had a great stay here. The location is great and the service we received at the front desk was excellent . They were very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. We had a small issue with our first room and we requested a switch, they made it super easy for us to do so and didn’t act like we were a bother at all. We figured we would go to McDonalds across the parking lot in the AM for breakfast, but no need! There was a nice hot breakfast right in the lobby from 6-10am. Hot coffee and cucumber water was available at all hours it appeared. The room itself was standard and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet as well. Even at check out there were some nice fresh cookies to take with us, it was just very pleasant from start to finish. I would stay here any time I am in Buffalo!

    Great place to stay, we’ve stayed at this Hampton Inn many times based on cleanliness, friendly staff, proximity to plenty of dining options and shopping! Everything from Cabellas for my husband and Macy’s, Lord and Taylor for me! Parking is free and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. Also very close to the airport and downtown. We’ll be back 😊

    We had a great 2 night stay at The Hampton Inn. Check in was great, friendly service! Fantastic hot breakfast in the lobby from 6-10am eggs, sausage rounds, toast, bagels, oatmeal, make your own waffles, cereal, juice, coffee!! The room was clean, shower was great! We were 3 gals there for a shopping weekend & it was perfect for us!

    Room 218’s toilet doesn’t flush. I asked the housekeeper to have a plumber look into it. Nothing was done. The room’s furniture is old and worn out, and breakfast was terrible with fake scrambled eggs, and sugary options including sugary yogurts. All the breakfast food, excluding the hard boiled eggs, was substandard.

    Paid for a Whirlpool did not work nothing else was available so we had to stay in that room no discount was given. If you came down late for the continental breakfast by late I mean 9:00 when they serve till 10:00 there was limited options available half the time that they're not refill even when you asked for more they would say that's all they had.

    Overall good hotel. Just was very noisy in the mornings when we stayed. Got woken up by people running in the hallways each morning. Also staff at the chrck in were quite slow checking guests in and long waiting time trying to ask questions
