Outstanding! Except for the couple arguing every night in the room across from us! They kept us up, and scared! He was threatening to hurt her! I called the front desk, they didn’t help much.

Great experience, has bar and restaurant attached to it so you don’t even need to leave very clean place. They have a great hot breakfast eggs waffles cereal breads juices all you need to get your day started.

My boyfriend and I came from atlanta for a day/night getaway. We arrived right at 3pm to make the most of our time and was told our room wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be for at least 30 min but they will call me when it’s ready. We went to go eat at the restaurant in the hotel (which was pretty good!), and ended up just sitting and waiting hoping for a call. At 4:15 we went back to check and they said it was ready but they had no phone number to call us- I wish they would’ve emailed or thought to ask if they didn’t have it when we tried checking in earlier. They didn’t offer anything for the late room or inconvenience, I asked for a parking voucher- they accommodated but were hesitant. The room was nice and a good size but didn’t have any waters, any lotion, the bathroom lights were dim, and the TV was not in a place we could really even see it from the bed or couch- kind of strange. Not a bad hotel, just expected better for the price.

The property was well maintained and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The lighting in the room, especially the bathroom was very dim. Also not really sure why they charge $18 per day to park your car. Typically hotels of this type don’t charge for parking unless they are downtown with minimum parking. The restaurant, Scottie’s on the River, attached to the property was excellent.

Location was excellent for being downtown and on the river. We really liked that it was connected to Scottie's restaurant. Our dinner and service there was excellent! The temperature of the shower was directly related to the amount of water pressure. The ONLY way to not have a scalding hot shower was to barely turn on the shower. I would not have wanted to stay more than one day because of that.

The suite overlooking the river was stunningly beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was limited. I get efficiencies but really, paper plates? Look at your competition. You have a beautiful property at a beautiful location and then take away from that with minimal services. What a shame!

Wonderful staff, perfect spacious room, lovely outdoor area to have an evening drink/snack. Partnership w restaurant 💯! Tiny feedback is that the breakfast was just typical free fare… microwaved scrambled eggs and lukewarm vats of coffee, but perfect otherwise and would stay again!

Our room was clean but not the pull out trundle bed that goes under the couch. I had to notify staff and they came and changed the sheet but I was required still to make the trundle bed for my child. Staff were pleasant and pool was clean. Breakfast offered items for a child to eat like fruit loops.

Clean, good location. Nice having laundry for long trip. Front desk could've been more attentive when I called for a box of tissues as the room ran out and never received my box and went down to get them but front desk had a line waiting. Having a cold with runny nose was a bit of trouble.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was decent, location was awesome for what we were doing. Beds was very comfortable and shower was great. The only thing would be to have the Tv in the bedroom and one Tv for the couch area. Will be back.

Staff was friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean. The location was fabulous and we will stay there again. Breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast. There is a nice restaurant attached, but that can make parking tricky in the evening.

The breakfast could definitely be much better. I ate yogurt and a boiled egg the first morning, and none of us ate the second morning. There should be more meat and cereal options.

For Marriott and other hotel chains- it’s also high time to redesign their breakfast and include hot vegetarian option all they have standard - scrambled egg , some sausage

They do not provide daily housekeeping. We were there 2 nights, and twice I had to ask for towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc.

We booked the river side room , and i made several requests to hotel via email , message and phone to provide the best room with river view as we were going there to celebrate an occasion. But when we reached at the property they gave a room which has barely river view and said all the best view rooms are already occupied. So it was really disappointing as i made several requests before even check in but seems it wasn’t heard by them.

Had problems with the heating, room was too cold. When I asked if maintenance could check it, I was told they were gone for the evening and I’d have to wait until the morning.

Not enough food for large group. Meat was not avsilable if you were not there earl. Eggs were cold. Needed more selections

The hot tub and pool were a bit overrun in the evening so if you want a quieter moments in those rooms don’t go in the evening. The pool towels had run out, but I just went out to ask the front desk for more and they quickly obliged. We went down to the breakfast buffet pretty much as soon as it opened and it was what you would expect for a hotel free buffet. The waffles were decent. The scrambled eggs were fine, and the coffee was drinkable. Room had a nice mini fridge, microwave, and small coffee maker. We don’t need any of these items, but I felt like the set up was rather effective for someone for a longer stay. The closet was a nice touch and the bathroom was clean and I felt had a great set up. Any of the staff we ran into during our stay was quite pleasant and cheerful.

I’ve stayed here over 5 times over the last few years and mostly enjoy staying at the SpringHill since it is next door to Scottie’s. Both the hotel and Scottie’s were subpar this visit. The hotel breakfast was not that great compared to years past and it looked like they could have benefited from having another person making sure that the tables were cleaned off and that the breakfast was hot. After this stay, I may elect to find another location to patronize since you pay a premium to stay here and eat at Scottie’s.

Hotel was dirty and poorly run. Imagine a place being so awful it ruins your vacation. Every time we called guests services, they would put you on hold and NEVER answer. We had a 4 night stay and had the cleaners come ONCE. Breaking was disgraceful. Dirty, just dirty.

We paid extra to have a river view but our river view was just a side view if I had known I would not of paid for that and just got a regular room… the hallways smelt like weed and we got woken up to a fire alarm at 5 am with no apologies or any kind of accommodations. I would probably not stay here again.

Made request for crib for the room when I made the reservation, they must have miss it which would have been ok because they did bring us one. Problem was when I called the front desk she was short and seemed mad, one of front desk brought crib to the room, I said thanks twice and she still act p-off. Blackout blinds not very blackout, room was nice but very awkwardly laid out. Shower was extremely slick and so was the pool and hot tub area. Pool and workout area (both were basic and small) on first floor, was nice amenities. Breakfast was eggs bite w/jalapeño and sausage, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, cerel, yogurt, and bread choices. Listed biscuits but there was none, and literally no real protein like bacon or sausage. Waffle batter dispenser was jakky and had to pull waffle out by hand, they did finally bring out a waffle fork. Was included so better than nothing!

The people were working went out of their way to be accommodating. They were all super friendly and great with kids. The room was clean and felt fresh. I loved this hotel.

The TV Was small and the picture was awful and the furniture was dated. Breakfast time wasnt very long .The gentleman working in the breakfast area was awesome and very friendly. I was disappointed to have meat with eggs only 1 time my stay.very friendly maintance guy and very helpful with information.

This hotel was a great find for a quick trip to Chattanooga from Atlanta. The river is just steps away. You can also walk over to Scottie’s Resturant which shares a patio with the hotel. Next time I will opt for a room with a balcony!

There is an amazing seafood restaurant basically attached to the hotel and there is a wonderful view of the river from the hotel. The studios are spacious and have a generous size bathroom. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We are definitely enjoying our stay and will be back!

We were in town to work a wedding. The hotel was convenient and wonderful. The staff was great and very accommodating. That being said, the river smells AWFUL. We went to sit outside on our balcony and couldn’t because of the polluted smell from the river. What a shame. This hotel is so nice, but the nasty smell ruined it for us. Once you drive away from downtown, the smell is gone. I know this isn’t the hotel’s fault and they can do nothing about it. We would love to stay there in the future, but Chattanooga has to do something about that!

My biggest complaint is the $18.00 parking fee. Really??! Will not stay there again for that reason.

The room was great. One bed did squeak every time my daughter turned over or moved. The breakfast was good. I couldn't get enough hot water in the shower for a comfortable shower....it was rather cold. And the morning of check out the elevators both stopped working. Thankfully we were on the 2nd floor, but some folks really had a lot of stairs to maneuver with luggage or just whatever. Felt for them. According to someone working maintenance they elevators were out all weekend, too and one had finally started working Monday. We checked in Monday evening and left Tuesday morning, so the elevators did not work for long.

Nothing huge. But elevators were not working and had to walk four floors for breakfast and then go back down four flights for coffee. Apparently someone was stuck in one of the elevators and once the fire dept freed that person they didn’t flip the breaker back on but took till the next late morning to fix. Was fixed before I had to carry all our luggage down four flights.

Overall this is a good property in a convenient downtown location. Check-in clerk was an amazing. Check-in valet was good. Check-out clerk was messy, slow & away from desk for 10 mins when we went down, & no check-out valet at 5:30 a.m. so paying extra for valet services was wasted (hubs had broken foot which is why we paid for valet). Walls are paper thin & we heard every footstep & noise made above us, including every flush, shower, & faucet use. Our own walls to our own bath were very thin, offering no privacy. Neighbor left tv on all night but it wasn’t loud, we could just faintly hear it. The room was clean & comfortable. The carpets throughout seemed a bit old, but no tears. One elevator of two did not work. Housekeeping still had cart in hall at 4 p.m. but it was a Sunday so perhaps the weekend had been busy. I never saw a river view but I didn’t walk around looking for it. Our room looked out on other buildings, the valet parked our car, & it was dark when we left in the morning, but I’m sure had it been daylight we would have seen the river. It sits too close to the hotel to have not seen it. Breakfast starts at 6:30, so we weren’t able to use that feature either. In all fairness we were there purely as a place to stay close to a place I was having a medical procedure done at 6a.m. We just needed a clean room, a good night’s sleep & an early valet. The room was clean, the good night’s sleep was constantly interrupted by the neighbors above us, no early valet.

Property was great… restaurant was great, location was great. Tried to get water in the AM. Card only, I asked the guy at the desk (who had 2 coolers of water), if I could have 2 bottles. “No, only for our Titanium Members”. I asked could I buy two.. he said “no, we don’t sell it”. So back to the room for my card and over $10 later, I had two small bottles of water. Thought that was a bit much.

The hotel is close to downtown, but not so close you experience the noise and congestion, and feels secluded. It is next to the river and a green way and a short walk to the riverfront area (aquarium etc .. ). The indoor pool is small but heated, and there is a hot tub. Self parking is $18. The free breakfast is standard for hotels: eggs, sausage, biscuits, fruit, gravy, muffins, etc ...

We have stayed at this property a few times. This time we were missing an integral part of our family for the first time and everyone still made us feel so welcome.

I never stayed at this hotel. Paid for trip insurance and was denied refund. Will never use your services again. I will book directly with the airlines, hotels, and rental car companies. Expedia is a scam company that doesn’t honor their agreements!!!!

The hotel was exactly as described and shown by Hotels.com. The location was in walking distance of Ross Landing where they have free concerts during the summer. The restaurant food was good and the prices were reasonable between 10-25 dollars a meal. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Chattanooga and wanted to stay in the downtown area. Excellent customer and valet services.

The view of the river was beautiful. The walk to the aquarium was easy and relaxing. There is a free trolley that will pick you up at the aquarium and take you down Broad Street. Wear your Walking Shoes! It is beautiful down by the River.

I always hate paying for parking and I really thought this was gonna a more walkable downtown area, but the hotel felt like it was in the middle of a bunch of rundown warehouses or student housing. We were able to walk a mile to where most of the restaurants were, but I had hoped they were closer. It was very easy to get in and out of town from this hotel, but stayed the second night in the suburbs near Hoover and ended up enjoying that experience much more.

The room was wonderful, breakfast was delicious and just what we needed for the last leg of our trip.

Forgot my favorite sweatshirt in the clean closet, and they shipped it back. At a charge to my card, of course - but they took care of the issue with like no mess. And I got my sweatshirt back today. So that was cool.

Like friendliness of staff. Have valet option. Have bicycle rental as we were on riverfront boardwalk and there Re bicycle drops in thw downtown area. Have breakfast in morning and there is a restaurant on site. The patio over looking river is lovely and near bar so families can be out there together.

The pool, while not deep, was a good length for swimming laps, and the gym was basic but functional. The lobby featured a nice bar and comfortable seating area for relaxing in the evening. Only downside was the hot tub—jets pointed upward rather than out, which made it less enjoyable. Overall, a solid stay with the consistent quality and comfort you'd expect.

Understand the app discrepancy between the two companies. Tired of young people acting like you’re an idiot because you don’t know their technology. Wasn’t my fault. Turns out a desk clerk didn’t send the right code to the valet guy, blah, blah, blah blah blah just tired of it.

The stay was great. The only downside was that I paid extra for a river view room. While the room did have a river view it was obstructed greatly by the restaurant and the other half of the hotel. We checked in very late at night so the family was tired and I did not want to try and change rooms for the better view. View was somewhat important to me but it was more so important for my young children who wanted the view. So if booking a river view room ask for the rooms with an unobstructed view. Other than that room and stay was great.

The Staff were extremely friendly. The check in desk lady helped me out with splitting payments on 2 different cards. I really enjoyed the pool area with the kids. The breakfast staff was extremely friendly as well. I was disappointed with the breakfast as there wasn’t much to choose from, one of the days the oatmeal wasn’t cooked and the sausages were burnt and tasted like plastic. Overall good stay rooms were clean and big enough for our family.

I wasn’t impressed that we were given a room that accommodates wheel chair. Also, for some reason the tv wouldn’t turn on in the morning. The room was clean, it looks a little tired and could use an update. Breakfast wasn’t much and was very busy. They need more options and maybe more staff to keep everything replenished. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.
