I like that it was close to the Aquarium and that we could walk to dinner. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. I would like a bigger pool.

CONS: the couch bed mattress was basically springs with a cloth covering, pillows were really bad Overall the hotel just needs a few things updated and it could be great.
- 5/5
The room was fabulous! Great space, very clean, cozy, and great bathroom. I ordered dinner and it was fantastic. I was shocked by how good the food was. I even ordered a drink from the bar, via room service. That was excellent. Definitely staying here again. The bonus is the great downtown location and backdoor to the Chattanooga Lookouts new stadium.

Breakfast was fine. Had to wait over 30 minutes for a luggage cart to get into my room ..too few carts and poorly managed. I finally found one on the 5th floor on my own. See comments about luggage carts above.

Not a bad location. Pool was like a giant hot tub which is nice. Needs some upgrades. For dinner they were out of almost everything. For breakfast they had nice buffet. To order other food would take too long. Needed to plan ahead on that. Room was spacious.

The property was nice until you get to the room. We stayed on the 3rd floor . Our room was clean until you looked at the floor it was dirty especially in the corners like bathroom and closet. The biggest issue was the AC did not work correctly. The room smelled so musky and the air blew like warm/barely cold. The room felt wet and gross. We checked in later in the afternoon around 6 and the air was off so I turned it on and we left for dinner . Came back around 9 and that’s when we knew it wasn’t working called and complained and waited for maintenance. He came and did absolutely nothing and said it was fine and if we didn’t like it then call front desk and ask to change rooms. By then it 10pm and my 6 yr old was sleeping and daughter in the shower so we stuck it out and had a miserable night sleeping in the room. We checked out in the morning . I would never go back. We stay at Hilton gardens often and this was one of the worst ones.

Breakfast and location were great. Wish it had a hot tub by the pool like some other Hilton Garden Inns do.
- 5/5
Our favorite place to stay when we are in town!
- 5/5
Very nice staff, clean hotel, room was great. Parki by was very convenient. Didn’t eat the breakfast, but it looked good. Only complaint for me and my wife were the pillows weren’t great but could be personal preference.
- 5/5
Staff was exceptional.

Breakfast was delightful and my son loved the indoor warm pool.

Clean room/ great staff/ excellent location

We had a neighbor on our non-smoking that continuously smoked a very strong stinky marijuana. It was so inappropriate and stinky. It made the children O had with me very uncomfortable. I told the staff about it on three occasions but it didn’t stop.
- 4/5
Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly and informative.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean, it was just older and small(the hotel and the room). The pool was also extremely small. It was ok overall but probably wouldn't stay there again.
- 5/5
Very pleased with our room. It was very clean and had everything we needed in there. The staff up front was so friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay.
- 5/5
The front desk rec was amazing! He was so nice and helped make our short stay wonderful. Highly recommend esp with kids bc its in a great location with lots of things to do within walking distance !
- 4/5
Massive Booger on terrace railing. Floor dirty. Black socks and black feet. Weird small slightly warmer than luke warm indoor pool. No hot tub. Maintenance painting doorway in our way during the day. Elevator shook and made strange noises. 4 extremely loose and thin pillows. Parking $18 per day Reading light out on one side of bed. Good: Otherwise clean rm Bottled wall toilettries smelled nice and provided. Courteous Staff: Attentive Bartender, allowed to check in extra early by kind front desk staff. Friendly maintenance man. Great location, walking distance to multiple streets w restaraunts etc, 3 blocks to water and baseball field.

I stayed here on 3/6-7 2026 in room 414. All day and night there’s an almost constant clanging noise that kept my wife and I up all night. Upon visiting the desk and notifying them of this they asked for our room number and upon telling them 414 they said oh yeah we know. So, they knowingly rented us a room with that noise issue. I don’t generally leave negative reviews but with their careless attitude I had to let others know to avoid this location.
- 5/5
Clean bathroom, amazing staff and great breakfast.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the hotel staff most helpful. Loved that the rooms did not have carpeting and motif was fresh and modern. Will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Nice property located in a good location
- 3/5
The ac did not work in the room. We were hoping it would cool off after we got there and had the air on low for a little while but it didnt change. We slept with no covers because it was so warm. They were helpful with extra towels and things we needed but it seemed like there was not enough help and was completely booked.
- 5/5
Really like this hotel, as usual, Hilton’s are always nice. Like that the indoor pool is actually heated, can enjoy it and not freeze. Will stay here again
- 5/5
Great service.
- 5/5
Staff were great; fast and knowledgeable. Breakfast was convenient and hassle free. Kids and wife enjoyed, all is well.
- 4/5
Loved everything about hotel, except breakfast prices are a bit high.
- 5/5
Chip was a great help and very pleasant to talk to about area points of interest.
- 4/5
The parking was a bit confusing however they did have chargers for my electric car which was unexpected and convenient. The room was a bit dated and the AC was confusing (was either way too hot or way too cold - could never yearly get it figured out). For the price it was pretty good. My me and my girlfriend were both kinda afraid of the elevators. They made some… non-confidence inspiring sounds.
- 5/5
A+ --- only wish a simple breakfast option for free was included.
- 5/5
Excellent, kind staff, great location
- 5/5
Rooms were spacious and clean and so quiet. Beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Hotel staff was wonderful. So friendly and helpful. They had a fantastic breakfast - both order from a menu (French toast, omelettes, pancakes, etc) or buffet (or a combo). Highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Great Ironman location.

- 5/5
We had 3 week nights here so parking was fine, never had a problem. Hotel was very clean with a good clean smell! Bed was comfy and room very clean! Walked to breakfast and supper so very convenient location. Great place to stay with kids with Discovery Place right next door. And the Aquarium one block down. I would definitely stay here again!!

air conditioner didnt work. $16 a day to park in the hotel parking lot. i dont think so. park across the street at the parking deck for $5 cheaper

Hotel is great. Only downside is there isn’t enough parking on premises. You may have to park in the parking deck across the street for $12.

The hotel is very nice, just a bit dated. Nice big rooms and a great lobby and pool. The floors are pretty dinged up, but nothing else was too terrible.
- 4/5
Mattress was not as comfortable and was low
- 3/5
Location is a plus with this hotel. Very walkable for downtown Chattanooga. Beds, linens, and pillows are due for an upgrade. We asked for extra towels as there weren't enough for my family, but we never got them. Breakfast isn't free but it was delicious and service was excellent.
- 5/5
The metal bedframes in 602 were a hazard. All three people in the room scratched their legs. My 5-year-old grandson drew blood.
- 5/5
We will definitely stay here again
- 5/5
The staff was great
- 4/5
The property was in walking distance from everything. Great location! Overall, the roo.s were nice. I think they could have been cleaneda little better. It looked like my room had not been swept in days. Monique at the bar was holding it down by herself on Saturday. The restaurant was full and she had to work the bar and restaurant. Kudos to her. Would definitely stay again.

Guest parking not gaurenteed.

Super clean and modern, everyone so friendly. Food and drinks downstairs and all around the hotel in walking distance.

The staff were all vwry nice and considerate to us. They lisgwned to our issie
- 5/5
Our room was spotless. Very nice, with a balcony.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom. Sergio was very helpful and informative at check in. Candi was very informative and polite in the restaurant.
- 4/5
Everything was good, the staff was so nice, only thing I was disappointed was the breakfast,I personally didn’t like that, they charge 20 dollars for person for breakfast,I think is a little bit to much,of course when they told me the price I just walk away, but beside that it was good I love the bar area they just need a little bit music I think
- 5/5
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and it was excellent! I raced in the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga and this hotel was perfectly located for the race. The staff were exceptional!
- 5/5
Amazing!
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Easy parking. Convenient location. Problem free.
- 3/5
It's fine, all the way around. Wouldn't share a digital key until I was there with ID in hand, kind of defeating the purpose after a long day in the car. I can never keep track of which breakfasts are free and which are paid, this one was paid and did not seem worth it so I left. As a place to stay in the middle of a long road trip it was fine.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a great location downtown, especially if you want to see a ball game, go to the Children's Discovery museum, the aquarium or riverfront. There are restaurants in walking distance as well. The hotel staff is very nice and hotel was kept very clean. It is definitely a thing like friendly and pet-friendly place .Only complaint is an issue with the air conditioning unit in the room as we couldn't quite get the temperature to stay set. Otherwise it was a great stay. We had a great time on spring break.

Very expensive at the bar. Everything else was fine.
- 5/5
Great location. Balcony room was perfect.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice, the room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially the lady that ran the breakfast area, I wish I’d gotten her name because she was so sweet and helpful. The breakfast was good, offered a good assortment of breakfast items. I picked the hotel due to its proximity to the aquarium and couldn’t be happier. Just a quick walk up the street so we didn’t have to worry about parking. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again if ever in the area again. Oh and if you like to try different foods, there is a great place called Little Venezuela Restaurant just a few blocks away that’s delicious.

Everything was great! Chip was outstanding!
- 5/5
Our son is getting married in Chattanooga next fall. His fiancé just recently moved to there, and even though they plan to live in the area almost all of the guests will be coming from out of town. Since we are looking for a hotel (or two) where we can set up a wedding block for out of town guests we decided to stay at HGI on our last visit. The hotel is very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay in downtown, rooms and service was great.
- 2/5
The bed was hard as a rock. I was there for three days in room. Service never came in and the pool had something floating on top of the water that was disgusting.
- 5/5
Other than that it was perfect. Perfect walking distance to everything & anything. Very clean. Breakfast was so good!
- 5/5
I was there for a few days to relax and recharge. The cleanliness was one of the first things I noticed when I arrived. I always appreciate an immaculate and welcoming hotel entrance. My check-in was fast and very friendly. My room was perfect for me, as I was alone. I would stay here again with no hesitation. My stay was great overall, and Chattanooga was precisely what I needed for the week.

Excellent hot breakfast
- 4/5
The hotel staff at the property were all great. We were promptly greeted upon arrival by a super helpful and friendly front desk attendant. The breakfast was great and the server was friendly and attentive to everyone. We had a great stay. My only negative is that we booked this as a fall break trip with our kids. The picture of indoor pool was a big factor that made me book this hotel over other, more affordable properties. The “pool” appears MUCH larger than reality. I expected it to be a little smaller, but this pool was at capacity with 2 teens, 2 kids, and 3 adults. It was about the size of two hot tubs put together.
- 5/5
i had left an item behind and they quickly shipped it back to me
- 4/5
Always stay here when we vist chattanooga. Location is convenient for all our activities.
- 4/5
Close to the river and aquarium
- 3/5
Rooms and lobby were fine, the entrance ways, and building were dirty and in need of updating.
- 4/5
Parking is limited and shared with other popular attractions in the area. One reason I choose to stay here was because of the advertised "business center". I had to do some work overnight while my family slept. Well, the "business center" was a countertop across from the check in desk with a computer and printer. I ended up finding a spot in the lobby to do my work.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Check in process was efficient. Limited parking and surcharge for parking pass was required. This information was not disclosed until check in.
- 3/5
When we arrived around 10 pm to check in we were placed in a room that had not been cleaned. Bed was unmade, trash was in the room, dirty laundry in the bathroom. We had a toddler and a baby with us so it was frustrating. The front desk was apologetic and immediately gave us a new room so it was fine. He did state that the housekeeper that worked on that floor was not great. Obviously I didn’t want another room on the 3rd floor then. This was just something I’ve never experienced before. Made it worse with two little kids after a long ride. Once placed in a clean room the stay was overall good!
- 5/5
Great stay! Staff was very hospitable and very quiet rooms!
- 5/5
Wonderful experience and fantastic staff, especially Brenden! Every inch of the hotel was spotless. Loved how easy it was to walk to the aquarium and nearby restaurants. We'll definitely be back!
- 5/5
Our stay was wonderful. The property was clean the employees was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend to anyone.

- 5/5
Great area, very safe, a million things to do (especially if you have kids). Will definitely be back someday!
- 3/5
For the cost and location, I was disappointed. The room was clean but it was dark. There was one dimly lit floor lamp and a Desk lamp in the living room. It was depressing. The hotel already stocked the room with extra pillows, blankets for the pullout bed and extra towels. So our party of 5 was considered before hand. This was very nice however it was piled on the desk and made the room appear messy. We didn’t receive any information on the breakfast cost or any information on the amenities etc. It seemed they were understaffed too as the bar and front desk were often empty. The staff was very polite and the drinks from the bar were good.
- 4/5
Staff was great!! Beds were comfortable. The only thing we thought needed cleaned were the hard floors in our room. They weren't gross but could tell they hadn't been done in a while.
- 4/5
Don’t plan on parking here. For $18 a night you can’t find a spot and still have to pay to park up the block. They share parking with the Children’s Museum so there is absolutely no room. Better off paying $11 up the street and it’s only $11 each time you leave. The pool is so so. Very small for the size of the hotel. Cleanliness seemed alright but my toddlers feet were filthy after walking barefoot in the room only. I think next time I will try somewhere else but if it’s all that’s available I will stay again. The easy walk to everything is very nice!
- 4/5
The parking lot is small and shared with nearby attractions so it fills up fast. We had a balcony room and dealt with 3 very large roaches coming in from the patio. Aside from the bugs, the room appeared cleanly. Staff was great and check-in was fairly easy.
- 5/5
Very clean! Nice customer service
- 5/5
The bartender/server was especially sweet and gracious. Her name is Dee. She was wonderful.
- 4/5
Our stay was very nice it was close to everything. Hotel cleanness was 100; the staff was great the only problem was pretty much parking but other than that I will most definitely go back.
- 5/5
We stayed here the week before and everyone was wonderful. The hotel is very nice and quiet as well as pet friendly. The bed was comfortable. Will definitely book this hotel again
- 5/5
The only problems I had were Room 506 had the shower door was on backwards and so you could not get in the shower unless you can squeeze by the toilet because that was the only way to get in and out of the shower. Also, the food in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. I would never waste my money there again. Other wise everyone was very nice and clean
- 3/5
Our floors were incredibly dirty and we had to wear shoes in the room, coffee maker was so visibly dirty we opted not to use. Overall the stay seemed expensive for the quality of linens/pillows and no included breakfast. Parking is more limited in daytime when the museum is open -- it's a shared lot. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Overall stay was great. Customer service was outstanding and food service was great.
- 3/5
This hotel is a budget option. It is well located for the aquarium and the riverfront. However there were issues with our room and we had to move to another room which although better was not perfect. The hotel is let down by poor maintenance. However it was very clean and the staff on reception were very pleasant and helpful.
- 3/5
Stayed here for a business trip after being transferred from another hotel that was absolutely disgusting. The Hilton was good and lived up to it's name. The only draw back is the cigarette smoke that may enter your room from the people smoking on the outside patio. I had to switch my rooms 3 times until I was comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. Some of my rooms could've been a little bit cleaner but the last room I stayed in was great. Breakfast here was convenient, delicious and the service was A . Further, the hotel was one block away from great eats and the Tennessee River, where I was able to walk 5 miles each day to get exercise. Will visit again for sure.
- 5/5
Was very clean and within walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel. Staff, pool, work out area, room and location.
- 5/5
Very convenient to all that we were doing during our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
I did not like having to pay for parking
- 4/5
Nice place in the middle of entertainment. Parking was $18 perday. Ten you had jocky for a spot to park. Breakfast should be included and a enclosed smoking section.
- 5/5
Very accessible from downtown and aquarium. Next to children museum. 5 mins walk from aquarium, 10 mins from river.
- 5/5
Alot if things for kids in the area
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly and helpful . Only complaint is not really a complaint it just our preference the pillows were too soft.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spacious. The balcony was also very spacious and provided a perfect view of downtown. The front office staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the view from our room in the 6th floor.. Perfect size (king size). Comfortable bed Spacious bathroom. We also used the indoor pool to relax, met up with friends at the lobby and convenient shop by the lobby.
- 5/5
I was just a little disappointed with parking but other than that everything was top notch!!
- 5/5
The staffs are very friendly
- 5/5
Very nice property close to a lot of activities that we had planned. The staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay in. Front desk was very plesent, room is clean and nice. Overall A
- 5/5
Great location in downtown!
- 5/5
The a/c and interstate traffic (in our “Mountain View” room) is moderately loud. Everything else was perfectly fine for our 1-day stay. Definitely would recommend.
- 4/5
The beds were really soft, so we slept well. The room was clean. A few maintenance things, but nothing major. Staff was helpful with questions. The pool was really warm, do it felt good to swim in, and not too deep so having children in there was alright.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice, clean and convenient. Parking was a bit of a hassle as there is a small lot behind the hotel, which is not included in your hotel cost. And you were not guaranteed a spot there.
- 5/5
Great area of Chattanooga with tons to do. The hotel staff were responsive and lovely. Ideal place to stay while enjoying the aquarium, CDM, waterfront, etc.
- 5/5
Nice room and bathroom. Great location, walkable to many restaurants. Parking lot is shared with the Discovery Museum, so it took about 10 minutes to find a parking spot. We had to sit and wait for someone to leave a spot, as the lot was completely full when we arrived.
- 5/5
The hotel was so clean and comfortable. It was a short walk to the Riverwalk and right next to the Children’s Museum.
- 5/5
hotel is in wonderful walking distance of several attractions ( riverfront, aquarium, discovery museum and restaurants). There is an additional fee for parking. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Only problem was air did not cool room well
- 5/5
Very clean. We’ll maintain
- 1/5
Terrible stay. Very loud all night, banging on shared door, people yelling, music blasting. Bartender was very odd and said the drinks on the menu weren’t available because they were just “corporate drinks” and attempted to make me a drink he invented. It was horrible and honestly almost a SNL skit. Didn’t sleep a wink so finally just up and left at 530 am
