This hotel decor is beautiful and so well appointed that I felt right at home. The hotel is well situated to enjoy a bit of Richmond. The food was very disappointing. I wonder sometimes if the kitchen staff ever eat the food they put out.

It was a bougie hotel close to the center so it was easy to walk around. Loved the room, sheets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Usually i take my own but this time i used what was provided because it was high end and lovely.

The bar is superb, and staffed by an exceptionally attentive staff. The level of hospitality offered here is truly exceptional. The hotel is built around a central atrium. It is quite calm and soothing to spend any amount of time in there. Throw in glass elevators that overlook the atrium, and a number of rooms with an interior view, and you've got an extraordinary experience waiting for you.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant staff and excellent location. The King Executive Suite that they gave us had unusually low ceilings and the view was a brick wall on a rooftop.

Great hotel and location. My family loved it! I was just surprised the hotel didn’t have a business center or a quiet space to do some work or take a business call.

My only negative observation were multiple stains on the carpet in my suite. My friend’s suite had the similar stains. The hotel was renovated last year I believe and I was surprised how noticeable the several stains were in both rooms.

Beautiful hotel with convenient location

This Omni hotel was perfect for a girls weekend. Staff was super nice and helpful, location was perfect for sight seeing and dining and the hotel from lobby to room was beautiful. Highly recommend and we will visit again.

Very nice, with a great bar area. Easy to get out and enjoy the mall and restaurants. Only negative is that the walls are paper thin. I could hear young people being loud next to me, and then a baby crying and the parents consoling them all at 1 in the morning.

Toast was very slightly toasted. Unfortunately, our breakfast was interrupted with a fire alarm. We were only about 70% complete when everyone was scurried out of the dining room. The meal should have been comped, however the server later tracked us down in the lobby for payment. The dining room Manager did a spectacular job in setting up an Anniversary display for us at 3 p.m. Overall, we had a great two-day stay. Thanks again! The Mosers

The staff was extremely accommodating when we learned that the room we booked was no longer available. We truly appreciated their ability to swiftly get us into rooms that worked best for our family!

Hotel guests need to be told when quiet time is. We were woken up by a group of drunk hotel guests in the room next door to us at 1:00 in the morning. They were shouting and playing music really loud. Totally ruined our sleep and our stay .

We had a quick one night stay on a family vacation. Great staff and they accommodated an early check in. Beautiful atrium and lobby area. Kids enjoyed the small indoor pool and hot tub. Loved being able to walk right out to the pedestrian mall and shops, restaurants.

Cannot say enough great things about this property and their staff. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Charlottesville.

The hotel itself was beautiful. Great location. 2 things that were not great were 1.conditioner provided had curdled and was like putting cottage cheese in my hair. Took a lot of rinsing and scrubbing to get it out. Snd 2. Friday night a nearby bar had live music playing very very loudly till 1am. I had a class early sat morning and could not sleep. Otherwise everything was excellent.

We loved this hotel, I took my husband away for some rest and relaxation. We thought the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff at check in were so sweet and accommodating. I asked to get checked in an hour early and our room was available! I asked for a room with a beautiful view, it wasn’t great but I’m sure they did their best. I would have loved a room with the view of the downtown mall side or even overlooking the beautiful lobby and bar area. We didn’t like that a can of soda was $5. Went to get breakfast on 2nd day there…asked for a menu to get food because I really wanted the biscuit and gravy because we had the buffet day before (which was great) and our man waiter who is older and has a slight accent told me pretty much that they were busy in the kitchen so it might take a while to get so I might want to do the buffet instead so I opted out and did the buffet again and then noticed others ordered from kitchen & it came out fast. So that was disappointing.

Excellent location, right on the pedestrianized "Downtown Mall" and about a 15-20 minute walk to UVA campus. Free self-parking in the two-level garage. Very nice bar/lounge area in a large atrium. Clean, comfortable - no complaints! No serious complaints, we had a good stay. Would definitely return.

This hotel is gorgeous and immaculately maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location perfect for its proximity to the mall. The service was excellent. The only downside is a steep pet fee, which appears to be customary in the area.

Close proximity to our event. Parking was inside during bad weather. Room directly across from elevators. Sheets were crisp and clean but a tad scratchy and not warm even if in bed for awhile. When checking in, not given WiFi password. We called down to front desk to get password.

We traveled to this property after celebrating my wife's birthday. I had informed the hotel of this and we were surprised to find a very nice card and dessert tray at out rooms door upon check-in. Hats off to the staff. We did eat a light dinner at the restaurant and dound rhe menu to be limited and the staff not as attentive. The room itself it niceand clean. Would stay here again.

The stay was fine. The WiFi situation was unacceptable. Your option for WiFi is to pay or join their rewards program. I was willing to join the program and spam filter the emails but trying to sign up was not working. Some glitch with the webpage. Other than that, the split pocket doors are suboptimal.

The Omni is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location. They also have a great restaurant downstairs. The one thing I was frustrated about were the daily charges for Internet; but I was told at the end of my start that they refund those charges to guests. 8 didn't get to use the pool and sauna, but I'd like to the next time I stay

Everyone from check in to valet to the restaurant staff were AMAZING! So friendly. The hotel is clean and so beautiful. And the food was *chef’s kiss* fresh and delicious. The pool and hot tub were luxurious and clean. It was a delicious stay and I will definitely be back.

The hotel was clean and convenient to the things we wanted to do while visiting Charlottesville.

booked a double queen two months before out stay, but was told they were "sold out" when we went to check in. This was prepaid, we were offered a king bed room and given a voucher for two free breakfasts. When we got to the room, the smoke detector was "chirping" every few seconds. By the time maintenance came by, it had stopped because my husband turned it the last quarter turn to get it settled. 10 minutes later it started chirping again. The sliding doors to the bathroom didn't close properly. The hotel is very close (3min walk) to the Paramount Theater and loads of shops and restaurants. Great location, easy parking, 8 minutes away from the Amtrak station. Other than some of the issues with the room, a nice place to stay. Great bar and restaurant in the building.

This is a beautiful hotel and we had a fun time here. The staff was friendly and nice. We had fun hanging out in the bar area. The room was nice, bed was comfy and the shower really great. The only negative is the area - we were really looking forward to walking around all of the shops and the Downtown Mall; however, there really were not any good shops for our liking and there were A LOT of homeless people in the mall area. We did have a great meal at one of the restaurants and hung out at a bar close by who had live music outside, but there was a friend of the band who had to run interference to keep a homeless person away from the band the whole time.

I was so happy staying at the renovated Omni. The beds and pillows were the best I have ever used. Better than high end luxury brands. The atrium is so beautiful especially at night. There is a great bar, and beautiful restaurants. And parking was so easy and included!

This is a fantastic hotel centrally located with walking access to shops and restaurants. The staff at this hotel is amazingly friendly and a big shout out to Ronelia at the front desk. Ronelia was so kind to stay on top of everything, providing umbrellas and incredible recommendations for dining. Every staff member gets a round of applause! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

From the time I pulled into the valet lane outside the hotel checkin to the check out process and review of incidentals I was thoroughly impressed. The staff was the remarkable strength of our experience at the Omni in Charlottesville, Virginia. We were first greeted by a staff member outside of valet parking (Jamell) who immediately provided us with a luggage carrier, waited patiently for us while we checked, helped us to find a room and transported our luggage to our room. The hotel manager that day (female) whose name I regretably forgot, assisted during a reservation/booking issue with the patience of a saint. Provided restaurant tips one night and called me one day when I forgot my car was parked in the loading zone. The rooms were spotless an dthe aesthetic was tasteful and consistent with the decor of the and culture of this almost historic hotel on the downtown mall. I'll be staying here often when I visit Cville. Hats off to you Omni and your well-picked staff members.

The hotel was very nice, nice room, nice dining/bar area. However if you just need a place to sleep don't spend the money. A room is a room is a room. We would have been just as satisfied spending half the price on a hotel outside the shopping district, the shopping district didn't live up to expectations. Lots of homeless hanging around, sad.

This is a very night, well renovated hotel. Just be mind full that half the rooms have windows that face the inside restaurant with no tint on them so people can see straight in your room while they are grabbing a drink at the bar.

Nice hotel with easy access to Downtown pedestrian mall. Keurig coffeemaker in room did not. Called front desk about the problem, but no one showed up. Signed up for Omni Guest program to get free WiFi, but was charged anyway. Had to contact front desk to get the charge removed from my bill.

My friend and I love this hotel. Our room was lovely. Hotel was beautiful, especially loved the restaurant bar and atrium area and all the live plants. The service was top notch. The location was walking distance to so many wonderful things. I recommend and will be back.

I was visiting from New York to move my daughter into college. My children and I stayed at the Omni. I have to say one of the biggest highlights of my trip was the incredible service from RS, the supervisor. She made us feel so welcomed from the very beginning. RS went out of her way to make sure everything about my stay was comfortable and stress-free. You can really tell she cares about the guests, not just in a professional way but in a genuine, personal way too. The room was very "tired". There was a reoccurring beep on the icemaker one door down from our room that I reported but they said it was not an issue and would stop at 10p. It did not- beeped every 3 minutes all night long.

The Omni Charlottesville is an absolutely beautiful hotel. It is conveniently local next to the downtown mall with all the restaurants and shops. The pool, hot tub, and fitness facility was a hit with my family. The atrium was a great spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing location. Great room

Property was recently renovated. Rooms that face bar/lounge area are so loud. Hoyle moved us for next night .rom was was not as nice and we had to walk past garbage and room service trays on the floor for two days.

Beautiful, well kept hotel. Staff very friendly. We will be back.

Internet connection was difficult to make without getting the $9.95 charge. Had to work with front desk twice to remove the charges.

The Omni seemed to be the biggest hotel in the downtown area. It is 7 stories and is very classy and cozy. It has an atrium that is as tall as the building. Tons of sunlight flood the lobby, making for a bright and airy feel. We stayed in a Deluxe room, which was about 350-400 sq ft with 2 Queen beds. The hotel and rooms are very clean and spacious, with ample closet space and several drawers. The location was perfect for us. It’s at the starting point of the Downtown Mall, a quaint pedestrian-only street that spans about 6-7 block and is lined with several restaurants, boutique stores and more. Finding a place to have a meal or grab some snacks/drinks/coffee was super convenient. The Charlottesville City Hall is right next to the Mall. The hotel is also located at the starting point of W Main Street, one of the major streets in Charlottesville. A leisurely walk to the entrance of the UVA campus took about 20 minutes and there are several restaurants and stores along the way. The Amtrak station is about 10 minutes into the walk towards UVA. For those driving to the Grounds, it takes about 10-minutes maximum to any spot within the Grounds with no traffic. On the flip side, there were some aspects that kept me from giving 5-stars for this review. They are as follows: Although our room was spacious and clean, the window faced the interior of the hotel. Beautiful lobby and bar! Great vibe! A few steps from the walking mall. Beds were extra comfortable. Aaron the valet attendant was super helpful, welcoming and efficient! Overall experience was excellent.

Central location

The hotel was actually better than expected. Parking was super convenient. The pools were small, but having two of them that didn't matter. The gym was superb for a hotel gym of its size. Overall, the place had the feeling of a well-maintained/renovated downtown conference hotel from the 1980s or 1990s -- you can't date it from the interior, only from the core architecture. And that just blends in with Cville.

The staff were all very helpful and attentive.

Amazing stay

I am disabled and in a wheelchair- I was able navigate the very thing. I was with family and we were overwhelmed by the amount of food options! Extraordinary locations with great access to most places !

Just one disappointment but they wanted to charge me for in room Wi-Fi. Made me feel as though I was flying on one of the cheap airlines.

A little noisy in the room because of the bar (4th floor room overlooking the bar/restaurant) but nothing a sound machine couldn’t block out. Very comfortable room/bed, great blackout curtains.

Common areas are nicely decorated, rooms are outdated, carpet is pretty stained, towels are very rough. Location great.

Omni Charlottesville was wonderful! The location at the downtown mall was perfect. The only criticism we have is the pool area needs to be attended to. The outside pool specifically was fairly dirty. There were kids toys at the bottom & a broken boogie board on the side. These items were there both days we visited the outside pool. I would also not eat breakfast in the hotel as it was very expensive with limited choices. Otherwise, all else was great. Staff was excellent! Room was excellent! Bed was very comfortable!

This hotel is PERFECT! My favorite place to stay in Charlottesville! It’s right in the center of downtown, the staff is so kind and helpful, the rooms are impeccable, the lobby is insanely gorgeous and unique, the decor is classy yet comfortable, and they have the BEST breakfast in town.

I had an okay stay, nothing special

The hotel is very nice, clean, modern. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

I happen to hit it on a very busy end of week where they were doing huge amounts of maintenance ....washing huge amounts of windows… Sitting at the pool was excruciating in that the machines that were washing the windows and workers were so loud. That was very disappointing and I thought the pool area looked a little downtrodden...The rest of the hotel was lovely. People were very accommodating.

The whole time was perfect except for my car being vandalized by a local vagrant who was trespassing in the parking garage. The place was very clean, very professional, and very appropriate for a multitude of events.

Needed some relaxing time away after the business was all in order following the death of my father..used the omni like a resort. It was perfect. Clean. Luxurious. Centrally located. Able to walk to diverse types and costs of restaurants in every direction. Indoor and outdoor pool. Proper gym. Great service. Couldn't have asked for more.

Power went out from 4-2am. Unbearably hot. Had to sleep in the car. Not their fault, but nothing was said to us on checking out. No credit, refund, or apology.

It was a beautiful hotel for a weekend excursion with my daughter!

Our stay at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville was exceptional. The staff was friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. I especially appreciated the daily cleaning of our room, the fresh towels provided, and the made beds. I will definitely choose the Omni in Charlottesville for my next trip.

The hotel is beautiful. It is clean and well managed. We enjoyed the stay. The staff were accommodating. The downtown mall however was not a place I want to visit again. It was overly populated with homeless and drug addicts. Sad to see the historic place going down like that

Wonderful staff

Lack of stand-by immediate power for such a prestigious hotel is poor.

The front desk workers were very pleasant and check in was efficient. The room was nice and the location is within walk distance to restaurants and shops.

This property was beautiful. Their attention to the tiny details in everything makes it an amazing stay.

The staff was very professional and friendly. While the hotel did experience a power outage when I called the front desk he was very pleasant and thanked me for calling to say I saw the transformer blow. it as handled quickly and concerned.

It is a lovely property in a great location. The rooms are cute and functional especially for a short stay.

Great location, free parking, beautiful hotel, with excellent service.

What was once, I am sure, a luxury hotel really is not anymore. The rooms still smell of stale smoke from days gone by, even though they’ve been renovated. I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately. The one up side are definitely the employees. One was more helpful than the next.. just for that price..I’d look elsewhere.

The hotel is at the end of the Charlottesville walking mall and therefore very convenient for dining, shopping and entertainment.

The indoor garden.

We had a great stay at the Omni Charlottesville. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the location was great, and the room was comfortable. Our 3 year old enjoyed the indoor pool. There was no free wifi, which was kind of surprising these days, but otherwise everything was great.
