Staff friendly. Parking plentiful. Room size good. Like that sink area outside shower / toilet area. #1- location is a bit awkward.... next to a deserted mall on "Fashion Square Dr." #2- EVERY room has motion detection lights in the entrance area and the sink area. If you use the toilet area during the night these lights automatically come on, flooding the room with light. Disturbing to any partner that might still be trying to sleep during the night. Not a fan.

It’s a very clean hotel but it has like a muggy smell. The place needs like an update with the dark hallways. Staff were great. Although everyone were woken up by thìs massive loud alarm that could have broken your eardrums that’s located right above your bed at 3:00am and went on for 45min.

We were very happy with our one night stay- they are actively working on improvements to rooms close to ours, our room did not need any repair but the black out curtains could not close so not sure why you have them???

The staff is very friendly, and it has a very nice patio, practically like its own park. If I were to return, I would definitely stay at the Marriott again.

We enjoyed our stay here, the service was great and the room was clean.

It was a pretty good stay, a body pillow would’ve made the stay better. Shower pressure was a little low and a hand held shower head would help with the low pressure so you could get the soap off better. It is nice having the complimentary bath supplies. $6 for a bottle of water is a little steep so I didn’t partake of it. I like fancy water but that was a little excessive. I will stay again if needed in Charlottesville it’s a good location and feels pretty safe with the lighting at night.

Location

Before booking the hotel, I called the property if the tv has streaming like netflix on it. I was in room 039 and the tv didnt work. A lady came from the front desk to come fix it and they said someone will call me from the frontdesk to see whats next. I wait 2 hours and then I left the property angry at them. I checked in around 10:30 pm and left the property around 1am

I liked the accessibility to my car. As a 76 year old senior I would benefit from your having grab bars by the toilet.

The staff at the food counter was AMAZING. The lady at the check-in counter was kind and efficient. We sty at Marriotts all the time on our couple get away weekend, and usually are very pleased withh the room adn amenities. This time however we were very displeased with the room. The air barely worked, the fridge would not stay shut, there was a dot what appeared to be blood on the bedsheet, there was no conditioner in the shower( we love the shampoo and conditioner at the other hotels), the couch had something yellow on it, and the window had a white substance stuck on it. Sadly, we will probably look at another hotel company for our next getaway this fall. For several years we have been using Marriott hotels for our getway every season.

The 2 gentleman at the checkin desk were super polite and had great personalities. They explained wverything very well, offered to answe our questions, and told us they hoped we got a good nights sleep.

The room was definitely not what we expected at all.Especially for the amount we paid. We ended up having to change rooms. Because the bed was horrible, there was nothing to put your ice in no bags in the trash cans.

Pet rate for one night is $100 so the cost of the room skyrocketed. Water was barely hot enough. Refrigerator in room was noisy. A water bottle was nearly $7. Most places provide feee water. This hotel is near, but not on, a major road. There were other hotels in the area, but this one is probably a lot quieter since it is set away from the busy street. Many restaurant choices nearby. The person who checked us in had lots of great recommendations. I always like a complimentary breakfast. There isn't one here. Also, they came and knocked on our door at 8 am to clean the room... that seems a bit too early!

The refrigerator was on overdrive. We put our glass ice tea drinks in there at 6pm and the next day, at 9 am both drinks were frozen, very lucky the glass didn't break. It was set too cold but I didn't even think to look when I put the drinks in the night before. Maybe something to add to what the housekeeping staff checks when servicing the room.

The Shower was wonderful. Room layout was comfortable, room was quiet, everything worked. Parking was convenient once you figured out the closet door to where you parked. The hallways were long and far away from the main lobby and services. Breakfast was not included so we did not eat at the courtyard.

This location is not flexible for families. They kicked out a disabled man who was on dialysis without any ability to adjust the issue. We won’t be using the Marriott brand again.

Wasn’t a fan to have to go around the building then take elevator to second floor then to walk basically a half mile to get to my room at 11:40p at night by myself! Carpet on hallway floors is not convenient to roll a suitcase.

I had come in from Manhattan in the evening where I had stayed at the Marriott Fairfield in mid-town. Breakfast was included there. I was surprised that breakfast was not included in the Charlottesville Courtyard, especially since the property was being renovated and not all rooms were easily available.

Had I known this was the outcome of what to expect from a Marriott brand, I’d definitely spend my money elsewhere, where it is appreciated. I would not revisit this brand hotel in future.

I recommend being on the top floor because I was on the first floor, and I could hear the water running through the pipes whenever the room above me took a shower.

I love the hotel, location and service is great! unfortunately it was fully booked due to a wedding so was assigned to a room next to the elevator and entrance door which was not ideal because it was very noisy

From the moment I walked in until the moment the shuttle left me off at the airport, the entire staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room was pretty basic, but had everything you need including a fridge and microwave. Nice and quiet in the area, too.

The associates were very friendly and helpful! We arrived early and still checked in immediately! The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was so relaxing and just down the hall. At the end of the night it was wonderful to relax at the Bistro lounge.

Signage to find the property was not easily visible. Even using GPS it took us several passes to find it.

Area around property looks like an abandoned mall. As you pull up to the property there are no visible signs that it’s the hotel you’re looking for. Rooms and hotel are fine. A little worn but clean. Again, staff super nice and friendly.

The interior design is very welcoming. There is a large tv and also.a sleep sofa available. Shower is large. The Bistro looked welcoming but at $25 per person was beyond our budget.

I would recommend this Marriott Courtyard to anyone visiting the Charlottesville Area. It was clean, quiet and they have a shuttle for the airport.

A very loud and rowdy high school soccer team checked into hotel. After letting front desk staff know about the noise and roughhousing they did nothing. They also told us that they could not move our room. It was awful.

The staff service offered to me, especially finding me a room late at night as I was coming off of a long drive was so helpful. The Desk Night Manager was so kind to me and was able to find space, even during a busy time of the UVA Football game. She was outstanding!!
