    We had an issue with a whistle in our bathroom. It was loud enough to wake you up. Also woke up to an infestation of ants. I took pictures and showed the front desk but they did nothing to compensate us. 😢

    Came to visit a friend in the hospital. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They even provided me a toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as bags to make an ice pack when I had a migraine.

    The staff were helpful and hotel was clean. The breakfast was not very good. They also have a policy that no one within a 55 mile radius can stay at this hotel. Their reasoning was sound but would def make sure you live far enough away. We were from Richmond and they almost didn't let us stay.

    Clean room, good staff. My only issues were: not having detergent available at the laundry room. This could have easily been remedied by offering it in the vending machine area. I was not able to wash clothes. Not terrible, but inconvenient. The other was the proximity of the A/C to my face in the bedroom. The A/C has no vents to move airflow away from freezing you during sleep, so I built a "wall" using my suitcase and pillows to block the vold air directly

    I schedule to pay upon arrival and my room was canceled they told me because the hotel was booked and I didnt have card on file however they gave me a room...the room was clean the bathroom was horrible I complained and no one came to clean..I had to put a towel in the tub just to shower...the sup came to clean bathroom and told me that they will give me accommodation that never happen..however she did say the bathroom was dirty and maintenence will be fired bc of this...my whole experience there was horrible...

    Absolutely nothing! they do not clean unless you ask for it, not even to remove the garbage, my bed was not made, I did not felt spoiled stain there, the facet in the bathroom sink was completely loose, the paper toilet was leftover from whoever stay before, it is discus sting, they did not have drawer, so I had to keep my cloth in the suitcase, having to open and close the suitcase all the time. The breakfast was descent considering everything else, but for the price i paid maybe it was not good enough. I will never stay or recement that place, it was the worse place I ever stay.     Location and cleanliness This hotel would not accept cash in payment for our room and they called in the middle of the night and told us that wee would have to leave if we couldn't produce a credit card. The card we originally used had a fraud incident and was denied. We gave another card but didn't want it charged and we just wanted to pay cash. To be threatened with eviction in the middle of the night was outrageous. I cannot imagine a business not accepting cash for payment. Unrelated to that the hotel has a sign that says they will not accept guests who live within 55 miles of the hotel. I've never seen that restriction before. Just not a pleasant experience.

    The shower in my first room was broken. I was given the option to borrow a shower in another room. After discovering that the sink was broken and the room had ants, I asked to be moved. I returned to my new room to find a dirty shower and crumbs on the floor. I was also upset to find the juice machine was covered with fruit flies. It was definitely not eorth the price, especially with the upcharge for graduation weekend.

    Location. It was fairly close to our destination as well as well as restaurants. Room appeared to be cleaned. However, there was black mold in the sink around the top part of the basin. This was noticed when looking in the mirror. There were also small anomalies like dirt on the end of the bed which I thought was from my husband but it wasn’t as well as a washcloth that was hung over the curtain rod and a screw on the floor. On top of that, the tub faucet had a drip which could be silenced by closing the door. Told the front desk and provided pictures of the sink. Apparently, the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned.

    The bed was comfortable, however the bare floor was dirty, there was mold in the caulking around the tub and tub was dirty. Towels were at least clean. We purchased lysol spray cleaner, and cleaned the floors ourselves. My husband had a medical procedure done and we needed to stay one more night, after having already stayed 3 nights and they would allow us to stay 1 more night. We were able to go through Expedia and book a Comfort Inn at a different location for one night, it's much nicer and clean. We would not recommend Comfort Inn at Montecello VA, but Comfort Inn in Charlottesville definitely. Thanks

    Front desk staff was courteous, professional, and helpful at check in and checkout. The room and living space was tidy, but the bedding was not clean. Location was convenient off the main road. The shower drain was clogged with someone else's hair. We had to wear sandals in the shower to avoid the backup from the clogged drain. Clean towels should not be placed under the sink, next to exposed pipes that are covered in build up. The bedding linens were dirty and dingey with brown marks and smears.

    The staff was great all around. They were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast had plenty of options, so that was very appreciated. Our room was so hard to keep at a comfortable temperature. Although the temperature wasn't high outside, the room was humid to the point of being uncomfortable. We tried adjusting the temperature in the room but it was either too humid or too cold. The person laying nearest the vents took on an arctic blast. It didn't circulate around the room. The vents also smelled incredibly bad. I can only describe it as decaying butt. It was awful. There was also mold in the shower in the grout and mold started in the toilet bowl at day two due to the humidity. If you need an affordable place to rest your head for a night, this will due. If you're staying more than 2 nights, you might be a little uncomfortable.

    Very dark parking lot on arrival. Lights were not on and did not feel very safe. Also our bathroom was not cleaned and had the previous guests soap still on the sink and in the shower and also the shower tub did not drain water. There was a smell in the shower coming from the drain area as well. Very unacceptable. When we checked out in the morning we notified the front desk of the problems and the lady said that she would talk to her manager and have the manager give me a call which has never happened, as of yet.

    Puddle of water from leaking pipes between floors in our bathroom on arrival. Moved us to another room, but it was a much farther walk and pain to move everything, and my husband had a broken foot, so being placed in the farthest room from exit possible was a little inconvenient, and the tv in the new room kept having picture go out a couple minutes into watching, so that was useless, but thankfully we didn’t really need it. The sheets, bed, & pillow were comfy, and it had black out curtains and wasn’t loud, even when fully packed out. Sufficient enough bathroom but vents would be nice. Decent free breakfast. Just feel like for the price it was, we’ve gotten similar quality for a lot less $, but that’s dynamic pricing I guess.

    The room wasn’t very clean, dirt on the window sill, stains on the curtains. Everything seemed to be falling apart like the faucet handle coming off and the drain in the shower. They do not clean your room like you would typically expect. We left the room (without the DND sign) one morning (roughly 8am), returned around 4pm and it wasn’t cleaned so we called and asked if they could come by today and we were told yes, we left and returned later at 7ish and it still wasn’t clean. Called again and they said the cleaners left for the day but could bring us towels and sheets to do ourselves! Also note that their TV’s are out of date, there isn’t even a guide option, definitely no option to stream or even mirror your screen. They have like 20 channels. The AC unit in the room blows right on the bed closest to it. And it blows right on your face. So you have to pick either having it blow right on you all night or turn it off and let it get hot in the room. The back entrance is sketchy, people hangout around there so it’s pretty uncomfortable going in and out especially when it’s dark. Also people woke us up around 11 from honking obnoxiously

    The room was disgusting. There were multiple bugs on the floor, windowsill, pillow. The duvet had stains and/or food on it. The fitted sheet on one bed had stains on it. We had to grab clean sheets and remake the bed. One person had to sleep with just sheets since the duvet was so disgusting. The drain in the bathtub was the worst. When we walked into the room there was a wet postcard on the nightstand and that was covered in profanity -- clearly left from the previous guest. We will 100% never stay there again. We were in town for a concert and had there been any room available anywhere within a 10 mile radius, we would have immediately left. I will say that we interacted with the maintenance gentleman in the hall and he was very welcoming and nice. We cannot comment on breakfast because after the lack of cleanliness in the room, we chose not to take our chances with food.

    Nice place. Good breakfast. It's a little tricky to get there if you're unfamiliar with the Charlottesville mixing bowl of intersections with 64. And I'd recommend better signage in the hallways to get back to the lobby. Otherwise it's great. I'll be back!

    Check in was fine. Door to room looked like it had be kicked in and rehung wrong and it didn’t close on its own, you had to us a bit of force. Didn’t like that! Breakfast was a hard no and the coffe was terrible. Old fruit and old pastries. Some kind of uncooked barely warm hash, husband said the potatoes were still hard. Staff didn’t seem very happy to have to bring some waffle mix out. On a good note. Room was clean and shower was too. Good water pressure and hot! Parking lot is well lit. Room key needed to enter the secondary entrances. Other than the breakfast staff everyone else was friendly and asked if we needed anything. Close to highway and one exit to UVA about 5 miles driving.

Shower pressure was fantastic but tub filled up somewhat with water. Location perfect for getting on and off Route 64. Close to Monticello. Overall would recommend.

    Comfort Inn at Monticello was surprisingly very good! Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast fine... the bathroom was slightly outdated, but still worked perfectly and was very clean. We'd stay here again and again. It's a little far from UVA...maybe 15 minutes, so location for UVA isn't perfect but it's a very nice hotel for less.

    Rooms are always in excellent condition if you have a surgery scheduled at Martha Jefferson Hospital this is the best hotel to stay at we didn't even get checked out today came back after the doctor visit to stay another night checked right back into the same room the staff is wonderful parking lot is well lit and the pool was extremely nice we have stayed here multiple multiple times and are always will satisfied

    Since the other hotels around the neighborhood were well above the price for the Labor Day weekend I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a “cheap” experience. As soon as I pulled in everything was wonderful and the front attendants gave me restaurant recommendations. The room was super clean and quiet all around. Well worth it.

    Reserved a queen bed but got 2 doubles. First room was musty. Got another which was better, but had ants, tv kept pixelating, coffee didnt work, and breakfast not great. So would not return. Good news - cheaper than most, close to presidents houses.

    We asked for an extra cot for our third kid. They didnt have one so we went out and bought an air mattress. Then, we asked for an extra bed sheet. They would not provide one. They said we couldn’t have an air mattress because it was a fire hazard. Interesting, considering we had exposed electrical outlets in our room. They still would not lend an extra bedsheet. I would have booked somewhere else if I had known so little help would be offered or if we knew we were not to have a fifth person in the room. We weren’t trying to break rules but the inhospitable response from the hospitality industry seemed silly. Breakfast was great though!

    The woman at the desk was very kind. However, upon arriving to Comfort Inn Monticello at 11:00pm, we discovered that they will not accommodate any locals within a 50 mile radius. This is due to the fact that they have had a lot of damage and rule breaking from local residents. I did not see anything regarding this policy when booking our room. While we understand the frustration on their part from damaged rooms, it seems a bit unfair to deny someone a room because of where they are from. I really hope that we will get our money back.

    Lost cable service for a few hours. Layout is strange, register at front door, elevator and luggage carts in back. Unable to figure out how to get from 1st floor to front lobby, no signage. No signage for rooms at an intersection.

    Our first room had ants. Staff was accommodating and gave us another room. Second room had a dirty bathroom sink. What else wasn’t clean, beds? Don’t know because we immediately checked out and got another hotel.

    Location is good, right off exit and it seemed like a quiet area. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Pool was a good size but was kinda dirty. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Outside could use some maintance. Id stay again.

    After asking if He could book it himself, I was rudely told no. “ We cannot take the chance of locals staying with him.” I asked for the amount charge to my card to be refunded. I was told I would have to take it up with hotels.com. I called the hotel and I was told that there was nothing they could do. There is no refunds for cancellations from a third-party site. This is fraudulent behavior. And they are aware of it. There is no information regarding this policy on the comfort in website or Hotels.com I would call the hotel to make sure there is a policy in place and clearly advertised on the website. Finally booked a room another hour away.

    The front desk staff was friendly and the hotel room was clean. However, we had a lot of electrical issues with the bathroom lighting and the key pad access into our room. On the second day we had to go down to the front desk twice to get access to our room. The front desk agent came up the second time and also had difficulty letting us into our room. We felt there should have been some form of discount for the inconveniences but none was offered.

    When we arrived for check-in we were greeted with a notice at the front desk with a memo that states they do NOT rent rooms to locals. I am appreciative that I was allowed to continue with my reservation because the general manager wanted all rooms to be filled. I think it would be nice that when making a reservation people are made aware that if they live in the surrounding counties they will not be allowed to stay at this hotel. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and the room was nice except for the ants.

    Didn't like that at first they put us in a room that had a connecting door to the next room and we could hear all their conversations so loud. However, we requested to be transferred to another room and that was done immediately, so we appreciated the staff for that. In the second room, however, we could hear voices coming from other rooms when using our bathroom. Overall, an okay experience given the cleanliness and the good breakfast.

    Asked for a handicap room and had to climb a set of stairs ti get to the first floir room. Room was just down the hall from the laundry rooms that ran during the night. Key cards stopped working when ever we left the building resulting in multiple trip to lobby to recalibrate the cards and trips up and down a flight of stairs.

    The property was great, staff was fine. Not much interaction while checking in. That was the only time we talked to anyone. The room was clean and quiet. Lot of options for eating and shopping. Very close to downtown. Getting into the property was tricky. Overall an enjoyable stay.

    We have stayed in this hotel 5 or 6 times it is very newly remodeled very nice breakfast if you were having surgery at Martha Jefferson it is the perfect location that is why we have stayed here The only bad thing is when Need a cart To how your luggage You have to push the card outside in the dark To get to your room You cannot do it from the inside of the hotel They need to have a ramp instead of steps to keep your cart on the inside of the hotel for safety

    The hotel is freshly remodeled the lady at the front desk was very kind my surgery was later in the day and they allowed us to check out at noon the only negative thing I would say is if you're pushing a cart with all of your luggage you have to go outside and back in another door you cannot do it from inside the hotel that is a safety factor for me especially at night we are staying there again next week it is a nice hotel

    The hotel has only been newly remodeled for 7 weeks the bed is very high the keys did not work the hotel staff walked us to our room to make sure the second set of keys work that was very nice. The water dripped in the shower the whole time. I would definitely stay there again they have a little bit to work out since it is 100% newly remodeled the lady that helped us was very nice

    Didn’t get a chance to stay. My power went out at my home and needed a place to stay just one night until power came back on. My wife and daughter and I booked on hotels.com and just went to check in, explained our situation and was rudely turned away because they say their policy doesn’t accept locals. Even with our circumstance we were told we can’t stay and now I’m out of 140$ and still had to book another hotel that gladly accommodated us for the night in the same area!

    Rooms werent ready umtil 5pm. Smelled like smoke and carpet were filthy. They painted over water damage and there are exposed wired coming from the wall. I left and didnt stay there. Didnt even touch the bed. Highly not recommend.
