    The building was looking tired. Stains in the carpets and update needed in the bathroom. No microwaves in the rooms and the ice maker on our floor was broken. Mattress was excellent. Have to pay to park. Very good location.

    We enjoyed our stay. The bar is good, the food was good and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. There menu impressed me. There is bar outside in the pool area nightly! We will return when needing to stay on the south end of Charlotte. Note, there is a parking fee.

    There was a bad leak from the ceiling in the bathroom that it was water all over the toilet and floor. It took maintenance 5 hours to come look and then I had to be moved to another room.

    Just had a quick stop to get off the road for a few hours had a 24 Hour Dr. Did explore the property much didn’t like the fact that we paid for parking because we weren’t aware that we were gonna get a parking pass The light switch in our bathroom had dried poop on the side of it There was no plug for the tub book the room with the tub purposely to be able to soak When we arrived very tired, stood in line behind some teenagers, opening trading cards and having fun with the person at the front desk had to interrupt them to get checked in

    I loved the amenities the hotel offered, especially the small store with quick and easy access by the front desk. Didn’t like that the room didn’t have a microwave, but there is one located on each floor at the end of the hall by the ice machines. The ice machines didn’t work either.

    Big convention there blew the place up for 2 nights. Staff great. Location not good for walkability to bars and restaurants. Convenient to airport and freeway. Parking good, pool good. No hot tub.

    Room and bathroom were not clean and when I asked them to clean it they just used spray which was too intense and still not clean. Sheets did look clean tho so at least that. Room was filled with dirt, all doors were dirty, bathroom was clearly not disinfected.

    I’ll be began by saying that the staff was amazing. Everyone was super kind and helpful. When I checked into my room, I took a look around and realized that the photos on the website aren’t the best representation of the rooms. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The lobby looks amazing, but doesn’t reflect what the rest of the building looks like. The first room that I checked into smelled like Clorox or some other cleaning solution but unfortunately they missed the headboard. The headboard had some kind of fluid that had been smeared. I informed the front desk who immediately upgraded my room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better. There was dust on the headboard, chipped wood on the TV console, an older AC unit, what looked like cigarette burns on the top of the lampshade. If I was staying in Charlotte for longer than one night, I would have changed hotels. I appreciate it how professional the staff was, but unfortunately, the rooms aren’t the best. Also, the parking lot was a whole different situation. There were people smoking marijuana in their cars, and a guy walking in front of the hotel at night, asking for money. When I told the staff person at checkout about my experience, she politely waived the parking fee, which I think was $15. I would not stay here again.

    Overall stay was great! Staff and was kind and breakfast was quaint and tasty. Only cons was the bathroom which could have been cleaner but due to the age of the hotel it was older and a bit moldy.

    When we were looking for a hotel in the Charlotte area and found this great hotel, great staff, room was great. We will definitely stay here again. The pool and patio looked amazing, but we didn’t have time to enjoy it.

    I got to the hotel on Saturday 12/30/26 at 2:44pm to check-in and was informed by Brandi that my room was not ready and for me to grab lunch, come back in about 30 minutes and your room should be ready. I go to Chili's for lunch, come back at 3:55pm waited in a long line to finally get to the counter and was told that my room was not ready by a gentleman with dreadlocks; so, at this time I very upset. I go sit in the lobby from driving 4 hours, and at this point, I all I want to do is shower and relax. I sat in the lobby until about 4:48pm, when the guy with dreadlocks saw me, and approached me asking me was my last name again; which I gave to him, he said that my room was ready. At this point I went from being upset to be angry, he apologized that it literally took 2 hours to get check-in to a room which I should have been checked in at 3:00pm, he gave me a 20.00 voucher to the bar, and a parking pass, needless to say, that I already paid the 17.16 for overnight parking. I get to my room, the leather on the arm of the chair is peeling off, the white blanket was dirty, this just got me angrier, and the sad part about it, management don't care. From the outside looking in on this particular day the employees don't care, Brandi was as nice, and the guy with dreadlocks tried to be accommodated, but at this point what can you say to me that will make the matter better. I don't need an apology stated that you apologize on behalf of your team; I want you all to do better.

    I liked that it was close to the hospital where my mother was getting surgery. I liked that the hotel had an eating option. The price to eat and drink was rather high but I liked that it was on site. The room was okay but definitely not as clean as I'd like it. Some updating is needed. But i needed it for sleep so it was okay.

    Really bad, overall. Room was not clean at all, fixtures were loose and felt like they might break, sheets on the bed were threadbare, and it was obvious the room hadn't even been vacuumed. Front desk staff unfriendly at checkin. Property needs a major overhaul. $16/night for parking was ridiculous with their huge and empty lot. Stay elsewhere.

    The 1st room we were given was filthy, couch was covered with stains, bed skirt corner stained/wet (appeared to be where a dog relieved itself) blanket in a separate corner of the bed was stained and the toilet seat and bowl were visibly dirty. We were given another room immediately, the second was also dirty though not to the same extent. Before bed we opened the balcony door for fresh air air were overcome with the smell of marijuana which lingered long after closing the door. We checked our the follow day. The desk clerk apologized for the experience said that they were making moves to improve the hotel, new furniture has been ordered, and they were going to enforce the "no smoking" policy. Asked that we consider staying another time in 4-6 months. Also advised that since I had prepaid with a 3rd party a manager would need to handle the reimbursement. One of 3 managers was supposed to call and never did. I left similar information on their surveys. I attempted to obtain a refund from Expedia's website the day we checked out and noted that since it was beyond the window I would have to speak with the hotel.

    Great stay, nice hotel. Good location of I77. Staff wonderful. Room and beds comfortable. Nice bar/restaurant onsite in lobby, did not eat there but a nice vibe. nice in room soaps. Nice outdoor pool area, fire pits, pool bar.... was not open, assume is seasonal. Need more luggage carts!! 18 floor hotel and only a couple carts.

    Front staff lady was not helpful. Parking signs were up saying you needed to pay on an app and she never offered a parking pass. I only knew because I heard a different front staff offer it to someone else. It cost me $17 extra. There was also a loud barking dog that I heard someone else report to staff, they said they couldn’t do anything. It barked for hours and was in the background of my virtual meeting. The dumpster was picked up at 5am slamming around and woke up several guests, it was discussed at breakfast.

    prices did not match anywhere, parking was $16 nightly and the breakfast buffet was $23 and it was mediocre. Nice lounge. Pool outside was closed even tho it was it was in high 80s but that was alright. The bar was a nice touch wish it was open maybe an hour extra, midnight is early for a bar but it was so convenient being downstairs. Parking was no issue and plenty of space. Hotel rooms will never be perfect as too many people are in and out but 7.5/10

    Our bed sheets had some kind of brown liquid on them, it was a stain. We were told we could check in at 11, went to the hotel and then they changed it to 4. We didn’t even get to stay at the hotel 24 hours. 11 o’clock checkout. Staff was rude whenever we asked about breakfast. It was just horrible.

    I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place was too good to not. Let’s start with Brandy, excellent customer service. I had called earlier in the week to confirm we could drop bags off early, she was lovely then and then was amazing for our check in. Was able to get us checked in early and by time we left, she felt like one of the girls. Night time front desk staff was the same way. Always checking in, asking about our plans, making recommendations etc. absolutely amazing property, very clean, quiet and conveniently located. I will be staying here anytime I’m in Charlotte again!

    Everything was cool, I just didn’t like the placement of the bed. For a King bed suite, the bed was too close to the door. I feel like It should’ve been more in the middle of the room. The room also didn’t have a fridge and the entire floor has to share a communal microwave where the ice machine was. The ice machine didn’t even work.

    Upon entering the hotel, it was nice. It looked clean. The staff was nice upon check-in. It was a quick check-in process upon entering my room. It seemed fine. It was an adjoined room which I didn't like, but it seemed OK maybe about two or three hours after getting comfortable. I see a mouse went across the floor. I immediately packed my things and called the front desk. I was then given another room, which was fine. It was clean. You know the issue is people leave their food, trash and things outside in the hall for pick up all night long from the time I checked in until checkout time the same food and trash was out in the hallway, of course rodents.

    Initially i was unhappy with the condition & smell of my room as the floor & furniture needed some TLC. After already having moved the evening I checked in; I was helped the next day by front desk staff & they moved me to a higher floor. I was informed that improvements & new carpet were being made/ installed floor by floor from the top down & they were at about midway down. I originally paid for a room by the pool which is on the first floor. I did miss having my balcony slider but the new flooring looked & smelled good and met expectations, the kindness of the staff made up for it. I was mostly by myself & felt very safe due to the hospitality.

    The main entrance was closed and check in took a really long time when we were here. The indoor pool area was nice. I wish breakfast had been included. Parking on site was very easy. In an industrial park so not super walkable.

    Parking lot was well lit and safe, did have to pay for parking. Room was just a regular hotel room. Gym and pool area were really nice. They have one interior pool that was big and had nice seating areas around it. The outdoor pool was not open yet but we still sat outside and it is a very nice area. You can hear the highway. Lobby was beautiful. Great location, close to everything.

    Overall, my stay was okay. I hated that I constantly had to keep asking the staff to clean my room and add more towels after leaving for the day. Also, a piece of metal that was attached in the shower was broken and it was left to side. It would’ve been nice if it was removed prior to me checking in.

    We stayed here for 3 nights, however, I will NOT book a stay here again. The main entrance is beautiful but does not reflect the rest of the facility. The facility definitely needs some updating. Dusty carpets and general hallway windows. Our room smelled as soon as we opened the door. The furniture was outdated, stained and dusty. The bathroom could have been cleaned much better. Visibly dirty light switches. The bed was comfortable, however, the uncleanliness and the need for updates took over my brain and diding allow me to rest as good. I expected a higher quality stay from Sonesta. You have to pay for parking at $16 a day, and the parking lot was trashy, overflowing trash cans and trash in parking spaces.

    The staff was super nice, the lobby was open and spacious, there were plenty of places to sit, there is a coffee bar available. The little store had self checkout making things easy. My room was great, however the balcony wasn’t very inviting. The chairs were too short to see over the actual balcony.

    The room didn’t seem cleaned well. Bathroom sink had short hairs in it like someone shaved and didn’t rinse the sink. Shower curtain had peanut butter sticky gunk on it. Couldn’t miss it. Looked gross. Room was very dated. Beds old and clumpy. Didn’t sleep well. Terrible overnight stay.

    We did not get the room we booked. The first room they gave us smelled bad, balcony was dirty, and toilet wouldn’t stop making a noise. We requested to change rooms and the young lady at the desk seemed to be upset at our request. She told us she will let us know once the new room was ready, she told us it would take about 10 minutes. It took much longer but we have her the time with no rush, and once 30 minutes passed I went to ask her for an update and she said they were ready. That told us that the room was ready and she was just looking at us waiting. It just seemed off that the room was ready before me asking.

    Absolutely EXCELLENT. There were some rude and obnoxious fellow guests. But, for the most part the staff did their best to deal with it. The room was clean, the bar and restaurant were excellent and the service was even better. We will most certainly be returning and recommending this hotel.

    To tell me I’d parked in the “employee parking” This is a relatively rural hotel outside the city with a big wide open parking lot. I stay in a LOT of hotels and not once in my many years of traveling full time for work have I had a hotel of this nature tel me what part of the parking lot I can or cannot park in BUT I would gladly follow that rule had I known about it. If there were proper/adequate signs, I’d have followed them. I definitely respect the workers wherever I am. We are the ones who make the country run. I’m always kind, respectful and generous to staff everywhere I go. But to wake a paying customer at 4am to let them know they parked in a prohibited area that was absolutely not well labeled is batshit crazy. When I came down to move it, I counted FOURTEEN open spots in the “employee parking” area AND I was parked in front of a “text to pay” parking sign. Let me reiterate: I was called at 4:17am to move my car despite being parked in front of the same “pay to park” sign that’s in the entire parking lot They also thought they should put a massive sicker on the driver side of my windshield blocking my view and soaking in the rain. This is an E class mercedes that was just detailed. If Sonesta wants to die on this hill, cool! I have 1.3 million followers across platforms and the videos about this go up tomorrow. Or you can do the right thing and we can let this be water under the bridge. apology is an excellent start!

    My girlfriend and I had a great stay at the Sonesta hotel. The ladies at the front desk were attentive from the beginning of our stay to the very last second - especially Brandy. Brandy is awesome and needs a raise! The breakfast buffet was also good - they have turkey options for non-pork eaters so that was a win for me.     Stayed during the 2026 snowpocalypse - got to the hotel at midnight due to flight being cancelled, only one person at the checkin desk, longest line I've ever seen at a hotel, took 2+ hours to check in, no arrangements made for the 2 heavily pregnant people in line, got to the room - freeezing cold due to the heat set to 60F, bedside lamps unplugged so had to crawl in the dark to plug them in, thinnest blanket on the bed - slept in our jackets. At least it was clean and the shower water was warm. But no, I would not call the stay pleasant.

    I didn't like that you charged for parking. It is not like it is the city. There is ample parking on site. The ice machines didn't work. You couldn't control your heat. The Keurig didn't work. Coffee is essential in the morning.The internet was not working and they wanted to charge $25 for an early check in. The nickle and diming people was a turn off.If you cant check in until 4 pm(extremely late) and check out is at 11. You are not getting a whole day. An earlier check in would've avoided the long lines for the one employee that was there. There was a guest checking in, he went to pit his things away and the hotel staff ticketed his car. You were wrong for that.

    Dirty brown rag in my bed, ice machine was broken, had to pay $20 to park in a parking lot that was near nothing. spackle on the ceiling in places falling down. Table covered in dirt or something brown shaved up. Just for as much as they nit pick and charge for every little thing that is standard with most hotels you would think they would be nicer and cleaner than this.

This is my third stay and I find it odd that such a nice hotel does not maintain empty trash cans in the exterior areas from right outside the front doors to all the parking lot cans. Over 24 hours and not one was ever emptied. Just pointing it out since as a manager I would want to know.

    The room had this awful smell like a dog peed on something in there. I stayed 5 days and it took 3 days to get new wash clothes bc they said they ran out. No one came to give me room service until our 4th day of staying there. The refundable deposit of $250 is way too high for that. The ice room was disgusting as if no one has ever cleaned it. I had no interest in going to the pool after seeing how the hotel was kept. The staff up front is great but none of the house keepers speak English and that was a little annoying. The breakfast was too nasty to be as expensive as it is. I just don’t recommend this hotel for a long stay. It should be a 2 star and not a 4, lol.

    The room was cool. I had a ladybug come visit me, which was pretty awesome. The room service was good, but they had this thing in the hallway blowing air really loud; however, once in the room you couldn't hear it. It just annoyed my walking past it because I wore dresses while there, and it blew hard enough to lift them. Lastly, the receptionist was exceptional. I liked my view of the highway, so I could gauge traffic throughout the day (this helped with Lyft/Uber requests).

    Sonesta looks beautiful, from the lobby decor to the room but there were several issues during my stay. CONS: The room took forever to heat up on a very cold night. There were spots/stains on the sofa in the king room. In the morning, there was some type of bug that crawled across the sheets and the shower clogged. I spoke to the front desk agent, who was wonderful and accommodating with apologies but, I could tell it was 'known'/recurring problem. No compensation was offered. PROS: The staff is friendly/professional demeanor

    The front desk person told me that the room was not ready when I arrived at 4pm check in time. She completely ignored me and let me sit for an hour and a half!!!! Completely unacceptable! When I finally asked if my room was ready she acted like she never saw me. When I told how long I waited, she said "why didn't you tell me?" Like it was MY Fault! Horrific and inexcusable rude condescending and dismissive attitude from her. I didn't get her name and she acted like she didn't know what she was doing. She was wearing a dark jacket with short hair. Her attitude was disrespectful and abhorrent. I have stayed here twice before and always had great service, NOT THIS TIME! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I highly doubt I will return and I will advise people not to choose this poorly run establishment. And the room was not that clean. Blackout curtains have some kind of gross stains, and broken. The carpet is filthy and stained. The desk clerk did NOTHING to rectify this abysmal failure. This location has gone down hill.

    They must be paying for these 10/10 reviews. Stay FAR away. Lobby is nice. Rooms are DISGUSTING. Dirty carpet, water damage in ceiling, old worn out furniture. The floor we were staying on had two rooms covered in plastic I know that is done when treating for bed bugs. Loud music, parties in other rooms. Questionable clientele. We needed a place to sleep for a couple of hours to catch a flight, I couldn’t sleep due to how disgusting the room was. I asked the front desk woman a question and she had earbuds in and completely ignored me. BEWARE consider yourself warned.

    The king size room was very spacious and clean - although the chaise lounge was quite stained. Waited close to an hour for the shuttle but it did come and was very efficient both evening and morning Looked like a very nice hotel but I was in late and out early so didn’t frequent the bar, restaurant or pool.     Nice lobby and nice bar. Overall the place smelled like weed and tobacco. While we were staying in our room it smelled like someone was smoking in the room next to us. Room was not cleaned entirely. There was trash behind the bed and dust on the lamps. I would not stay here again but it did it's purpose for our quick trip.

    Check staff was very accommodating. I asked for a an early check in & they accommodated me for a fee which wasn’t a problem. Once we get to the room we were greeted at the room door with a bag of trash and linen on the floor. Then after doing an inspection of the room for cleanliness we discovered soled underwear a soiled wash cloth & $1 under the mattress…we were immediately accommodated to another room. The hotel needs a good cleaning and or updates.

    $14 charge for suburban parking that was not obvious at booking. Rooms and hotel were very worn. Worst gym I have ever seen with treadmills that made loud gear grinding sounds. One treadmill had a footlong tear in the tread. Staff was nice was the only plus.

    I came in town for a business trip, you can buy breakfast in the hotel which is plus. The bad part of my stay is that there were a cluster of bugs on the balcony and one of them was in the room, so I didn’t get to enjoy the balcony. I took pics but i didn’t get a chance to show the front desk. in addition to the carpet with a stain in it. Also you’re paying for daily parking, which is not great at all. But besides that, the staff was great, very friendly.

    Everything in the actual hotel rooms was outdated. My shower was clogged and the water would pool after about 2 minutes of running the shower. My sink was also pretty dirty as I could see residue of toothpaste before I had even used the sink. The chairs were peeling and the furniture was just very outdated.

    The stay was comfortable and pleasant complete with friendly and welcoming staff. Overall the facility was clean. I did run into some questionable staining on the bed linens to which I requested and was given clean linens (Sheets with staining should trashed not placed on a bed for the next guest). The sofa in the room also had some spots which resembled pet drool, I would recommend the facility to invest in a steam cleaning machine especially for rooms that house pets. Also, we were only given 2 towels and 2 wash cloths for a 3 night stay for 2 people therefore we had to request more of those from the front desk. The facility should consider the number of patrons and days of a reservation when stocking the rooms. Having to request clean linens and bath towels can be a real inconvenience especially those in town on business. Overall, the facility and staff did leave a good impression with a few minor tweaks this property could be on the 5 star rating.

    Worst of all, upon arrival, there is misleading parking signage that indicates that you must pay in order to park, but when I checked in I was told by one of the staffers that it’s not valid. Because I paid with a debit card, I had to make a few attempts via email to get refunded for the $46 charge that I paid. I’ll never stay at this dive again.

    Dirty room with roaches. I had to change rooms at 3 am with my 2 month old who was sleeping peacefully!!! If I didn’t have a 2 hour drive back home I would leave right now at 3:11am!     There was only one front desk agent, who I did not get her name, but helped me when I purchased dog items. Otherwise everyone else had a horrible attitude and seemed annoyed we were there. I understand it was busy due to the home football game but that shouldn’t matter. My husband and myself have past work histories of being front desk agents in Charlotte and the behavior shown by these employees would never have been allowed. We also had it clearly boated when we booked the room we had 2 service dogs and at check-in the woman was rude and claimed it wasn’t notated. If the property got a complete over haul remodel in rooms and staff training, we might be back. The state that it currently is in? No, we will not be back.

    A good basic hotel to stay in. You need a room key to use the elevator so it's safe in that regard. Surrounding area isn't bad either. Room had some typical hotel wear and tear but it wasn't dirty.     Rooms were clean, but it smelled so stale when you walk in, and that's with the AC running. Of course you get use to it after being inside. We reserved a queen bed. That was not a queen bed. The bed headboard and box spring we're not that was a full mattress. No fitted sheet on the bed, it was a flat sheet folded and tucked to make it look fit. Came right off No outlet on one side of the bed, BUT a power strip under the bed. Following the power strip to the plug in showed a severe fire hazard. There were literally 2 power strips plugged in today to reach my side. This on top of a regular outlet having the adapter plug in to make it 6 plug ins This was our 2nd time staying here and husband told me not to book again with the safety hazards

    From the very first day, I requested daily room service for the entire duration of my stay, and the staff confirmed it would be noted. However, no service was provided. I called to remind them the same day, and they assured me again that it was arranged — but nothing happened. The next day, I contacted a staff manager who told me they "didn't have time" to provide room service. I found this unacceptable, so I escalated the issue to the main manager, who repeated the same thing — no time, no service. Both managers were incredibly rude and unprofessional in their responses. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Despite my repeated requests, room service was never done — not even once. Eventually, we decided to leave and change hotels. I will be reporting these incidents as a violation of customer rights. This hotel has serious issues with management and basic guest service. Avoid at all costs.

    The only thing I didn't like was that the room had an adjoining room and you could hear all the noises. But, the "neighbors" weren't too noisy. Also, you almost always hit traffic if you need to get on Tyvola.

    Staff were excellent my only concern here was that the room I got had a patch in the carpet. If the carpet got ruined don’t put a patch remove that carpet and put a new one. It was room 1201 but other than that everything was excellent

    I was told when I got there that they charge for parking and that was an additional fee that I wasn’t expecting. I was told they would comp the parking but when I received my cc statement it was added on! So they didn’t live up to what they promised and I didn’t appreciate being lied too! I wouldn’t stay here again for the price.

    The staff were very friendly and our room was clean with some nice amenities. The one and only suggestion i would have is to take care of a musky odor outside the entrance and exit area of the elevator on the 18th floor. We will certainly go back if we need a stay in that area.

    There were bed bugs all over our room. We called the front desk tonl report it and get a new room. The lady told us she was off the clock so wed have to come down there to speak eith someone. We walked down there and The lady who was off the clock and couldn't help us was still there. After standing there 10 mins and listening to them tell multiple people with reservations at 11pm they had no rooms available. The other front desk person was struggling to get staff to clean up some rooms because they had no house keepers. There was about 6-8 parties in the lobby waiting for a room. I walked to the front to speak to them about it. Was told again they had no where else to put us. Then proceeded to check in 2 people into rooms they were currently cleaning. I asked to speak with a manager who apparently not a manager but came over to pretend to be one. He verified our room had bed bugs and they'd figure something out. So at midnight and several more parties checked in, we told them we were leaving. We packed up and left. 15 mins down the road we realized my son left his shoes next to the bed. We called and they sent someone down to check. Mysteriously those disappeared but no one had been in the room since we left. They said they'd have a manager reach out for compensation for it, but 5 days later and still nothing.

    The lobby is beautiful, and the room was nice and spacious. However, the bed had a noticeable dip in the middle, which affected comfort. Breakfast was limited, and for the price, I expected more options. On the positive side, dinner was excellent, and the staff was outstanding—especially Tyra, who went above and beyond. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay. With a few adjustments, this hotel could definitely reach a true 5-star experience. The $250 hold is a high, but it worked out for the best.

    Tv did not work so we were moved to another room. Left property to see a concert and could not get or keys to wor when we returned.. Took staff 45 minutes to let us in our room. Same thing happened the next day. Staff was not a bit worried about our inconvenience. Also lobby is very presentable, but once you go past that it's very run down and misleading.

    Comfortable bed. Convenient location. Attractive interior. Helpful staff. Able to charge my EV car while I slept. Much better value through Expedia than through their own website. Starting to show signs of aging as evidenced by chipped places in walls and paint. Would definitely stay again.

    Room was underwhelming for the price. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and had low quality linens and a lack of comforter. Most of the furniture was dinged on the corners and beat up. One of the side table lamps did not work and the hair dryer smelled horrible when turned on.
