The shower in there is cold, so is not going to be used to wash off before entering or leaving the pool!
- 3/5
We had an accessible room with remotely operated blinds. The blinds were broken and for 7 days we had no daylight in our room. The staff offered to move us to another accessible room, but they realized the blind were broken in this room as well. The maintenance person tried to fix them but unfortunately was unable. We used my husband crutches to hold the blinds partially open.

Everything was great. When we arrived and went to our room, the keys didn't open the door. Without hesitation, we were moved to a different room. In the new room 2 tvs needed programmed. Right away they were programmed. Very friendly. Resolved issues without hesitation. Very clean, inside and outside. We didn't want to leave. No complaints.

Could have been better, but overall a nice enough hotel. Breakfast was very good. I had to change rooms on arrival due to the door to the hallway sticking and refusing to close. Looking at the door, you could see it was not level, and leaning down on one side. Front desk gladly changed my room. The automatic shades in the room did not work, and the dishwasher would try to fall out of the cabinet when the door was opened. I was only there two nights, so that was not a huge problem. As I said, nice enough hotel overall.
- 4.5/5
Location, size of the room and cleaning & kitchen personnel are very nice Toilet room not flush so strong.
- 5/5
Yes very nice 👍
- 4/5
The service was great. The guy who worked there went above and beyond to help us. Loved the fireplace and the spacious rooms. The original room we received was dirty. Staff immediately offered us another room and personally came with us to see that the second room was clean. Parking. I didn't appreciate having to pay extra. Turned out that the very small parking area was full anyway and we ended up parking on the street one night and at a restaurant down the street the next.
- 4.5/5
Convenience and it being newer looking Beds were very hard
- 4/5
Location
- 4/5
The staff were very nice and friendly during a winter storm doing what they could to accommodate guests.
- 4/5
The room was not 100% clean. There were hairs in the tub and mildew on all of the caulk seams. The elevator was in rough shape with ceiling tiles missing and damage to the walls. The breakfast area smelled like it had been wiped with dirty rags.
- 4/5
There was a noisy generator or something that kicked on at night very close to my room so I used my sound machine app to drown it out.
- 5/5
Very nice quality hotel with kitchenette. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Would stay again
- 4.5/5
Breakfast was good. 1 Elevator seemed to be out of service. Which caused you to have to wait 5+ minutes only elevator for it to be full when stopping at floor.
- 2/5
No Netflix or streaming for kids. Nickelodeon and Disney were not working on traditional tv. There was no baking sheet for the oven. There was only one elevator working. Overall not a pleasurable experience
- 3.5/5
Location was ok...why pay for parking if its not secured. Paid parking.
- 5/5
Great shower. Good pillows. Breakfast was very good Price was $60 more than Booking . com price but still much lower than if I paid Residence Inn price
- 5/5
The breakfast was exceptional. We also enjoy the indoor pool definitely made the entire trip. I did not like the paid parking. They were QR code, but the price was not listed once she scanned the QR code. I just automatically ask for your card information. I did not like that.

The room was large enough to feel comfortable for an 8 night stay. Clean, nice staff.
- 3/5
Hotel itself is very nice and clean and staff is friendly! The paying to park is ridiculous $10 a night plus incidentals!!
- 4/5
Nice but a bit outdated
- 3/5

- 4/5
Yes. Only complaint is one staff member told me certain water bottles at the front were complimentary. When my wife went down to grab one a different person said they were not.
- 4/5
The short needed a cleaning for mold.
- 5/5
Very nice Residence Inn. Staff was efficient. Location of my room was excellent and the room was very clean. Utilities in the room worked properly.

Exactly what we needed for our quick stay. Comfy bed, yummy breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location with wonderful restaurants/shopping in the surrounding area
- 3/5
Despite room change due to a leak, it was a pleasant and peaceful experience.
- 5/5
Great stay , very peaceful, room was spacious and spotless. Highly recommended
- 5/5
The room was incredible, with great blackout curtains to keep the room dark, it was quiet so I could rest, and all amenities were great! This was the perfect hotel choice for the circumstances I needed!
- 2/5
Pubic hair in the shower- phone didn’t work - ice maker didn’t work- no extra pillows available
- 5/5
Freshly renovated & just feels right and compl
- 4/5
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite so our adult son would have some privacy. The problem is that the bathroom is in the bedroom, so you have to leave the bedroom door open to access the bathroom. The bathroom sink is in an open area while the toilet and shower are behind a door. Breakfast was adequate. They charge $15/day for parking.
- 3/5
Staff was frequently not at their stations. Front desk was unattended whenever we walked by. On the morning of checkout, they were also in the back room at 6:30 am. Is this normal?
- 4/5
The only thing we did not like was the vent fan in the bathroom was very noisy. But overall was a great hotel and we would stay here again.
- 5/5
It was good. Clean and spacious. Near the mall and restaurants.
- 5/5
A great place to stay.
- 4/5
The facility was very clean. The staff was pleasant.

Great hotel in a really nice area convenient to mall and restaurants
- 1/5
I was not satisfied with this hotel so we checked out and left it was col in the room I did not get a king size bed but I paid for a king size the ice maker did not work it was running and screaming from somewhere

- 5/5
The room and staff were excellent but charging $10 per night for parking is too much, parking should be included with your room.
- 3/5
Booked this hotel for the indoor pool, but we didn't find out it was out of service until checking in. Our rooms still had supplies sitting on the counter that hadn't been put away. The bathroom fan was so loud and sounded like a helicoter. Trash was all long the doors in the hallway where other people had left it out and it created a smell. The breakfast and fitness center were great. Not someplace I would have chosen without the indoor pool...
- 5/5
I love that it was clean, well stocked, and had friendly service. My kids loved the indoor pool. I loved the breakfast. And it is very convenient to multiple places of interest in the city.
- 5/5
Perfect for business trip
- 5/5
Staff were very sweet and accommodating! Only issue was that room(with a kitchen) smelled awful. It was clean but someone before us must have made something awful and they couldn’t get the smell out
- 1/5
I went somewhere else. I wound up losing 200 dllrs
- 3/5
Construction outside of hotel was dusty and noisy. Also, my hotel room had slow draining sink & t.v. that did not work.
- 4/5
This was actually a pretty nice place to stay. We had a king bed and a pullout, which was great for me & 2 teens. I liked having a kitchen tho the fridge froze our eggs 😄 The layout was roomy, tho the hotel should put a partition between the closet/sink area and the bed so people can dress there. Bldg had some construction so we got to park for free, which was good, but that hotel shouldn’t charge for parking because the deck was huge and bleh. Parking should be free if you’re paying for a hotel room! It’s not like the deck was short on space or there were options for mass transit or even walkable destinations nearby. Breakfast was a nice perk, cheers to the waffle maker 😄 Overall, slightly overpriced for August but otherwise a good stay and a decent value.
- 5/5
Spacious room, great for family of 3
- 3/5
The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a convenient location. I was just a bit disappointed with the cleanliness. I'll likely not select this particular hotel again.
- 4/5
The stay was ok. The hotel constantly ran out of towels. The rooms were updated recently, but the carpet was filthy.
- 2/5
Need to improve the communication between staff and shifts.
- 5/5
Staff were great!
- 5/5
Staff was great!
- 5/5
All of the staff were wonderful and helpful! The room was clean and spacious. Even though it was in town it was very quiet. The complementary breakfast was good and they had a good variety of things to eat. The pool was recently renovated and was really nice.
- 4/5
The hotel was in proximity to desirable restaurants and stores. The hotel itself was in fair condition. The amenities were nice but sometimes odd. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
FRONT DESK AMANDA WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ATTENTIVE! HAD DINNER AT EL TORO RIGHT ACROSS FROM HOTEL AND THE FOLLOWING DAY AT RICKORY RIVER SMOKEHOUSE. BOTH DELICIOUS!
- 5/5
It was perfect. Everyone was so nice and all was great with my stay. Nice suite and quite in halls, it was really great!!!
- 5/5
Nice & Quiet facility . ..... Very clean .
- 5/5
Lots of construction going on, noise, banging, paint, fumes, cones. But great part of Charlotte to stay in, love being so close to everything.
- 5/5
La habitación muy limpia y súper cómoda
- 5/5
We very much enjoyed this stayed. Nice, clean, safe.
- 2/5
The whole building is under construction. Pool doesn’t exist and we had ants in the room on 7th floor. Construction should be mentioned in the description and reflected in pricing. Otherwise Charlotte was good.
- 5/5
Great room and friendly staff. close to dining and shopping.
- 5/5
Clean and Safe environment
- 5/5
Great property in good location. My only negative was the coffee in the room was not good but the breakfast in the common area surpassed my expectations.
- 3/5
Inadequate access. Limited parking before check in. Exterior appearance very substandard, more bare ground than grass. My suite room was reflective of a past time where the emphasis was to provide the cheapest room by offering industrial type furniture, ceilings that hardly accommodate tall people, and TV with the minimum offering of channels. The floor plan was adequate, but nowhere to open luggage in the bedroom, therefore the living area became the only option. Most important was the swag in the parking area between parking and hotel entrance. In a rainstorm clients and their guests must walk thru water that comes over the top of your shoes, there is no other way to enter the Hotel. Fortunately the hotel provides an excellent hair dryer which clients can use to dry their shoes if one has an hour available. The noise factor in the room is very acceptable and the complimentary breakfast was first class. Summary: Charlotte has other much better options for your next stay, choose one of them, not this ancient relic which has the minimum of upgrades and carries the Marriott brand.
- 3/5
Room we stayed in was still being finished and door had to be manually locked and the AC couldn’t be adjusted
- 4/5
Old rug left feet black Construction had pool closed
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
Lots of renovations on going. Lots of dust on the ground floor and below. The renovation was not mentioned during reservations
- 4/5
Pool area was under construction.
- 5/5
The only thing I didn't like was the indoor pool wasn't available and before I booked this hotel didn't said anything I was with my kid and he was very disappointed.
- 5/5
Nice large rooms
- 5/5
The property was being renovated, therefore I can't comment on anything other than the staff was great.
- 5/5
My stay was great!
- 5/5
Marriott should clearly note that property is undergoing renovation work. As the work is well coordinated, the work had little impact to our stay.
- 5/5
Marriott should clearly note that the property is under renovation. As Marriott manages renovation work well and uses good contractors, there is no reason not to clearly advise guests in advance.
- 5/5
10/10 even with the construction this place is awesome
- 5/5
Great room, service. Although renovations were taking place, they did not impact on our comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Will definitely be my go to whenever I’m in Charlotte
- 4/5
Everting was good with the exception of the dining area-due to the construction going on there was drywall dust all over to the point where you had to take your breakfast and go outside or back to your room. You wouldn’t want to eat in 5he area reserved for dining!
- 5/5
It’s getting there remodel wise. Had trouble with HVAC in our room (was of the remodeled ones), air vent only worked in the bedroom, not in the living area (couch/tv, kitchen, entry way). Unit would not go below 73 even with a flip off/back on of the electrical panel. A bit stuffy, enough to call and report it, appeared needs to be tweaked and ensure vent in the living room works.
- 3/5
I wasn’t told they were renovating the property. The workers were leaving back door propped open with a rock due to sensor not working. There was a screaming fight in hallway one day, the next day when we left very early, found vagrant sleeping on a landing in the stairway. The workers were very nice, just didn’t feel safe.
- 2/5
Elevator working intermittently .Had to walk from eigth floor .Breakfast was terrible Fruit, pastries, and dairy old and tastlesss.Food tables not cleaned . However the room was clean .
- 1/5
Water off from 930 AM till 330 pm first day lots of things in room need to be fixed they comped both days
- 5/5
We stayed on a newly renovated suite. It was very nice! Bed was comfortable. We liked the shower but the only downside of our stay was the water temp. It did not get hot, just warm shower water. That def needs fixed. Staff was very pleasant! Breakfast was excellent! Lots of options (more than most places I’ve stayed) and well stocked. I would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
Rooms are spacious and have nice kitchens, which is a plus for a family or a couple staying a bit longer (like us). However, the facilities are outdated including unreliable HVAC (room was either boiling or freezing), old televisions, and subpar showers with small tubs and shoddy water pressure. We did not recieve any room service despite our multi-night stay (which seems to be the default in hotels post-COVID) and had to reuse towels and linens. Complimentary breakfast was actually good, with eggs/sausage in addition to cold cereals and fruit. We did not use the pool or gym facilities, but they did look nice. There is also a nice grill and fire pit area. Onsite parking is convenient, and it is nicely situated in an area with restaurants and amenities. They did appear to be in the process of updating, so I would consider staying again post-renovations; otherwise, the facilities, while acceptable, as-is are not worth the price tag in my opinion.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Theybwere doing renovation in yhe middle of the day Saturday, we tried getting a nap in from the long drive and it was to loud to do anything.
- 3/5
Dated and run down. Breakfast options are limited and no dining available after breakfast.
- 2/5
Only one elevator was working which resulted in delays coming and going. Staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Breakfast included was pretty standard and tasted good. Starbucks was super close so I liked that too!
- 4/5
Great for a single night stay. The hotel is out dated but is being renovated.
- 1/5
This Residence Inn was under construction and it was noisy, dirty and disgusting. There was nonstop drilling noise from the time I checked in at 11 until 4pm. The furniture was stained, the mattress and box spring was worn, dirty and stained, there was mold in the shower with buckled and peeling paint. The pool was ice cold and I never got a wake up call and missed my flight.
- 1/5
Not a clean hotel.
- 5/5
Nice property will book again in the future
- 1/5
Desk clerk had to switch my room, and then immediately rented that same room to someone else who walked in on my fiancé with a key in hand. The desk clerk still kept a pleasant attitude even with all the guest complaints she was receiving. It seemed she could only do her job to the best of her ability with what she was provided with to do so.
- 2/5
I picked this hotel so I could stay in Sunday morning, have breakfast, and do some work prior to an outing with my daughter. Well, the cook evidently had car trouble, so the continental breakfast was subpar at best. I submitted an email that morning and have yet to hear back. If the cook had car trouble, wouldn't it make more sense for the company to pay for an uber than disregard the guarantee of a continental breakfast?
- 5/5
Everyone was kind and helpful. The property was clean and easy to access.
- 4/5
The renovation will be good.Staff were great. Obvious construction a detractor
- 3/5
Fairly run down for a Marriott and lots of smoking (tobacco and pot) outside by the fire pit was not great to walk through on the way to the parking lot.
- 5/5
Lorraine at the front desk was AMAZING!!
- 1/5
We were given a room that already had people in it! The rug in the room was ripping up and there was hair in the bathroom. Get it together people!
- 5/5
Room was very spacious. It had all the convenience of home.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was amazing excellent customer service. The room was dusty and smelled. The bathtub was dirty so we had to put a towel In the tub to shower. The bed was very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
The hotel is very nice. The persons that greeted us at the check in desk were very polite and professional.
- 3/5
We liked the staff, who were very friendly.
- 5/5
Had a great experience
- 3/5
Staff were fine. Room was nice. Trip ruined due to problems with AC…..it was hot !!!
- 5/5
Very clean and great location. Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
I am pleased at the location and cleaniness of the property and my room. I will definitely return. For a Friday night it is definitely quiet.
- 4/5
Clean and great location. Facility is nice, but restaurant and bar were closed (permanently) per staff.
- 5/5
Very nice room and accommodations. Great people at the front desk.
- 4/5
Hotel currently being renovated. No air in some hallways. Front service desk was unattended when we arrived—we waited over 5 minutes for someone to show up. Room was nice.
- 5/5
Luxurious stay with a friendly warm staff. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. The man and woman at the counter were very helpful. We loved the room!
- 4/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel a lot over the years. It is getting a little dated! Service continues to be very good and breakfast also is still very good. Great location!
