I am very disappointed with my recent stay at Le Méridien. While there were several staff members, particularly at the front desk, who were attentive, kind, and did their best to assist, the overall experience was far below what should be expected for a stay costing over $1,000 for four nights.Upon arrival and throughout our stay, there were numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues. Our room showed visible water damage on the walls, and the shower leaked. At one point, the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly, and there were also issues with the air conditioning in the hotel social areas. To make matters worse, our room smelled strongly of marijuana, which significantly impacted our comfort. Housekeeping services were inconsistent, and communication was often difficult due to language barriers. On one occasion, housekeeping left a vacuum cleaner plugged into the hallway, creating a safety hazard that nearly caused me to fall.The pool area was especially disappointing. My nephew received a splinter due to the poor condition and lack of upkeep around the pool deck. The cabana areas were dirty and appeared neglected. There were no visible showers or emergency phone available in the pool area, and security presence was minimal. During our time there, individuals were openly using marijuana near the pool, which made the environment uncomfortable and inappropriate for families.Valet parking also presented problems.

Absolutely everything about this hotel was AMAZING…the only hiccup was the elevators were not working properly and had to wait over 20 minutes just to get on elevator but overall I will forever stay here when I’m in Charlotte

Whole hotel was tired. Mouldy ceilings with peeling paint, leaky shower with missing grout, beds sunk to the ground, paper thin walls, pool tired and no towels outside. The lifts were a joke - stuck in one for 15 minutes as it just kept resetting. Reception understaffed. Room service did not make beds. Generally would definitely not recommend unfortunately.

The only complaint I have was that I didn't get the city view I booked but other than that, the stay was absolutely amazing. It was my first time in Charlotte (Drove from Alabama) The staff, INCREDIBLE! The Rooftop was my favorite honestly! Will be back!

The view of downtown Charlotte was beautiful. The rooftop bar is a great amenity. It was close to all the downtown activities. I was very disappointed in the room. For $230 a night I expect there to be no issues. The television was leaning forward like it was going to fall in the floor, we called the from desk who called maintenance. Maintenance comes and says the screws are stripped, they will put a work order in, but it won't be fixed while we are there. Then the mini fridge that was in there was missing a peg on the bottom, so it didn't sit straight and every time you go to open it, it nearly tips over into the floor. The outlets they had beside the bed to plug stuff into barely held the plugs, they constantly slipped out.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful whenever I had a problem. My room had roaches in the bathroom and had to be switched to another room. Where that room was still dirty. Only one elevator worked most of the time and had piles of people waiting to get on. Having to wait over 10 minutes for one at some times.

This stay was nothing short of disappointing. The room was dated, and efforts to hide that fact were rushed and poorly done. The bathroom felt gross and it was clearly assumed that a coat of paint could fix everything, but efforts were lacking as shown by the dried paint drips on the door. Doors slammed throughout the night, and the thin walls led to us being able to hear the neighboring room's television. Probably the most horrific aspect was the lack of a fitted sheet on the bed, which is a terrible thing to discover shortly before midnight. Foolish me had read this in someone else's review, but I didn't heed the warning. Even a shower the next morning couldn't seem to wash the gross feeling off. The towels were on a shelf so high that without my partner I would have been unable to reach them. The lobby gives off an illusion of a beautiful place, but I guess you can't judge a hotel by its lobby. The cherry on top was my latte from the hotel cafe, where despite being the only customer, the individual was clearly overwhelmed and I ended up with a cup of warm lavender milk. It was delicious, but NOT a latte. Staff was overall pleasant.

Just about everything about the room itself was great. The staff were super helpful with any questions that came up during our stay. However, the elevator situation was a problem. It was not uncommon to only have one or two of the four elevators working. This obviously created some major bottlenecks.

The rooms were wonderful! Nice size, bathroom was a little tight, but worked. The staff were great…very pleasant and helpful. The only reason for my good instead of excellent was the food at the City Lights rooftop bar. Not so great. However the bartender did take it off our bill since we didn’t like it. Maybe it was just that one item and the other items were good. The food in the adjoining Sheraton was good as well as the brewery next to it. I would stay again.

The rooms could use a remodel but aside from that it was an overall good stay. the room had peeling wallpaper/paint. the furniture and stuff had scratches and chips on them. the bed sheets had a stain or two so i bought my own and toss the ones I bought after. I would stay again if they fix this issue

The housekeeping staff was great. The guest services in the morning were great but in the evening were terrible. Asked for some mouthwash and said there was nothing and to go over to the next hotel. There was none there and we ended up paying 8$ for 2 little tiny bottles of scope. Was annoyed with the treatment when I know Le Méridien Properties are better. The fridge in the lounge did not work and sodas were warm. The food didn’t feel like it was getting replenished and some of it was flat out stale. Very disappointed with that kind of stuff happening at this quality of a hotel.

The location is perfect. I didn’t anticipate it being so family inclusive. It wasn’t the quiet or calming environment I wanted for my party of two. Additionally, there was a couple that was arguing at full volume in my hallway for at least an hour at 3:00 AM. Finally, the line to check in was practically out of the door.

Our first night, we were awakened by the hvac system making a terrible sound. I called downstairs and 2 maintenance guys showed up quickly. The hvac needed to be fixed. So the maintenance guy got us a new room and brought a trolley so we could move quickly. The next morning, we received vouchers for 3 days of free breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was excellent too. The service was very kind. The amenities were very good. I cannot complain about anything. The response time of the staff was very fast. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms are small but very clean.

Cool Property. Unfortunate they did not have the Hot Tub open, as it was covered up with a Wood Deck?? Also, they need to have a few more Convenient Items in the Shop Store they share with Sheraton. Common Tooth Paste and other essentials besides all the crap junk food. Lilly Coffee in the rooms was the BOMB DIGIIDY, keep that going!!!! The Toilets, why are they sooooo low?? In addition to being soooo low, my ball sack gets to float in the water while I'm trying to get my PooP on. Can the water be lowered so those with big nuts don't have to have them floating?? Otherwise, All Good.

Bar tenders were great, but the actual hotel staff. Not so much. They didn’t answer the phone for service and I asked if I could get a late check-out, but because I didn’t pre pay for a late check out I couldn’t get one. I stayed on the 15th floor and they only had one elevator working. It’s took almost and hour just to get to the lobby.

Le Meridien caught my eye when I was searching online for a place to stay while visiting Charlotte. Upon arrive, the valet greeted me, and offer service and directions. The parking area was well lit at night. The receptionists were kind and welcoming. The check in process was smooth and informative. The lobby, amenities, and elevators were clean. Everything functioned properly. The room was clean and spacious. It was on a high floor with a city view. The bed slept comfortably. The bathroom was small, but worked for what it's there for. Show pressure and temperature were great. The gym provided enough options for a good workout and cardio. The food provided by the restaurant was very good. Checkout was a breeze. I would stay at this location again. 5 star!

There was a lot of easy access to rooms with a lot of junk or supplies around the pool too, and it was hard to get to sometimes from the first floor if you wanted to go just to the second floor and not hold up an elevator. A few things in my room 17 61 were broken or had fallen off the wall, like the body wash.

Overall the hotel was good. The toilet in our bathroom was so low I could not use it. I think it came from a school bathroom for 2nd grade. The room across from us had a little dog that barked for 50 minutes while the owner went to breakfast. Except for the toilet, the room was fine, very clean/

The following night- and the ONLY reason booked this hotel was for the rooftop experience for sundown...- they closed it for a private event for 3 hrs- no one told us this was going to happen and staff had no knowledge . Went to take hot shower- no hot water. This place is basic and for the cost NOT WORTH IT.

This place is a dump. Marriott should be embarrassed to have their name on it. The elevator service was horrible. My 90 yr old mother had to walk down 7 flights of stairs to get out of there. The rooms are dark and run down. You can do better.

From the moment I checked into the hotel with Stephanie everything was top tier. Jared and Fabio were very helpful in guiding me thru the parking process after I got a rental car on my second day to attend a wedding that was an hour drive in South Carolina.

Not the le meriden luxury it usually gives. Blinds didn’t slide on one side, mold and dust on the vents, wall paper coming off, wet tissue in the shower, and toilet seat peeling. Very disappointed

Lastly, this hotel appears to be a gigantic waste of electricity, and hosts no attempt to reduce environmental impact. Honestly it just seemed like no one cared about the quality of our stay. And a partial refund was refused. Stay somewhere else!

For the most part the hotel is nice. The main issue was that the front desk line was always busy and no one can help for towels or toilet paper. We had to get it from the Sheraton side downstairs.

My stay was okay. The parking was easily accessible and check in went smoothly. However, the rooms could use remodeling and there was consistently a wait for the elevator, since one was down. I thought it was just me, but other guests were commenting on the elevators, as well.

I had an amazing stay with you all. I just wanted a day to celebrate me and my new promotion. When I arrived James was very professional and informative of the property. He was very welcoming every time i passed through. Dinner at the Sheraton was really good with the exception of the crab dip but that was not anything major the manager was nice enough to take it off my bill. Valeria I may be spelling her name wrong but she was my waitress who was also very nice and professional. Overall I had a great stay, I was able to eat dinner, swim a little and visit the roof top as my day away. The beds were nice and comfortable and the room was nice and clean. As a general manager in the hotel industry we know some people will take time out to do a bad review before they do a good review so i always feel like it’s important to give credit when do. I will definitely visit again when time allows me.

My room was dusty and poorly maintained — the base of the bed hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like ages. Lighting in the room was terrible, with very few mirrors and no proper lighting for getting ready unless relying on daylight. I was also never informed that breakfast was served at the Sheraton side, so I missed out on that for the four days I stayed. The pool area was constantly messy, with no towels available and trash left around. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful, which was surprising given my great experiences at other Le Méridien properties. Also, charging for BBQ sauce with a $15 side order of tater tots was ridiculous. This location isn’t very walkable to restaurants or stores, and constantly having to pull out your room key for elevator access felt excessive. I won’t be staying at this property again and hope management seriously reconsiders the accessibility and guest experience issues here.

When i arrived at the property it was super busy with a wedding but staff was friendly and helpful , the hotel is very overpriced its basically a holiday inn , they offer snacks in the hotel pantry which are crazy priced $5 for a pepsi $ 4 for chips etc i choose this hotel for its indoor pool feature which i was told closed at 10 i scheduled the day around pool time with the kids after dinner we came back around 7pm and the indoor pool wasnt operable due to "maintenance" and the outdoor pool was closed already for no explained reason ....its the ONLY reason i booked here ...our room was very clean although the toilet seemed to get stuck when flushing

Just bad! Room was musty and dated…smelled of stale booze and mold. A/C stopped working while we were out, came back to an 82 degree room. 3 calls to the desk, no one ever came up. Had to go to the front desk where after 5 minutes someone finally showed up. Stated they have no rooms to move us to and the engineer says it may work in a few minutes but may not. They gave us a little fan as a solution! We finally gave up and had to drive 2 hours home at 1am as they had no other rooms.

The hotel was pleasant and aesthetically pleasing. Currently, they’re undergoing construction on their parking deck, which initially caused some confusion regarding parking arrangements. However, this issue was resolved promptly. The hotel offers beautiful views and a lovely rooftop bar. I encountered a minor problem with the air conditioning, but the pleasant weather made it unnecessary for us to use it. Overall, it’s a great hotel for the price.

It wasn’t amazing the room was small the beds were even smaller, I wasn’t told at the time of checkin that $ 100 deposit would be held and I’ve never had that large amount held on my card and then to find out it will take 3-5 business to release the hold which is ridiculous. The platform bed had seen better days. It was chewed up and scratched up. The AC unit was noisy when it kicked on. Somewhere there was an alarm going off with an annoying whistle that wouldn’t quit The Illy in room coffee maker requires an advanced degree to use Not user friendly at all. Never got coffee from it After the show we thought we’d have a drink at City Light rooftop bar. It’s down a looong hallway and up a flight of stairs. It was depressing. A basement has better ambience. After one drink we left and as we passed a kitchen area we caught a whiff of sewage. Glad there was no food Overall this hotel is a roof over your head and at least no bugs. It does give off a sketchy vibe with a generally dingy feel.

This is not a 4 star property. The room was okay, but bathroom had bandaid/cheap repairs and ceiling was gross. We were out of our room all day each day, and when we returned at 3-4pm each day the room had not yet been serviced. We called the front desk to request service and they said they continuing servicing until 5pm. This made it difficult for us to shower and get ready for supper as we had to vacate the room to get service. The indoor pool is disgusting. The pool itself is in disrepair (rust, peeling paint, poor filters (hair balls). In addition the pool area had many drains but they were completely clogged so there was gross standing water all over the floor. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you are expecting a 4 star hotel.

Stayed here for a swim meet and the pool was right across the street. There are not many dining options in or nearby for families unless you want to hoof it for 15 minutes. Great pool and workout room (it is connected to the Sheraton--they are owned by the same company). Sports bar has local brews which were really good.

I paid for king bed, city view. The room they put us in was not facing the city and did not have a king bed. I had paid extra for this. They told me they don’t have any king beds on the whole property and they can’t put me on the city side. even though, they was on my reservation. i would’ve booked somewhere else if i would’ve known this information prior to booking.

The elevators are so messed up. There was constantly a line of people waiting for elevators because they system is screwed. In attempts to check in and go to floor 12, it took TWENTY MINUTES because the elevator system wont remember your floor and you have to re-tap your hotel card every time the doors open and hurry to put your floor in. In the time you are doing that the elevator re-routes and takes you back down to the ground floor. It was a nightmare. We had to take the stairs multiple times and ALL the guests were complaining about this.

Check-in desk was very helpful, got us a single room with a king bed after one of our travel partners backed out a week earlier. I tried calling ahead about this, but the Marriott phone number here is broken, doesn't call-route via touch tone. Room was nice, and housekeeping responsive when I alerted the hotel to a malfunctioning shower soap dispenser: new bottle, but didn't remove/replace the broken one any subsequent cleaning visit. Around 11PM Fri, guests on their way to CLT nightlife got a lil' noisy in the hallway. Rooftop bar is a cocktail hangout with a beautiful city skyline view, somewhere to enjoy a mixed drink and small bites, not a meal. People were chatty and out to have a good time; I enjoyed reading with a glass on the patio. Unfortunately for diners who wanted a meal on-site, the attached bar and restaurants in the next-door Sheraton were near severe, ongoing maintenance during our stay. We wanted something light after supper in CC, and had take-away because of a severe, headache-inducing odor, like paint or a chemical solvent, all throughout the two restaurants' area. All said, would stay again at the hotels.com rate!

This hotel was my go-to in the previous years but this time didn’t do it for me. We had to change rooms due to the hall way light being out, water was cold….just to change rooms and the water still being cold. The outdoor pool was off limits, you could sit outside but couldn’t swim?? The indoor pool was open but it was extremely dirty, sides of the pool was rusted. The Craft restaurant has a MAJOR leak (not sure if it’s from the pool on 2nd floor or what) but leaking to the point it sounds like rainfall pouring out the sky. Notified staff of the issue and they put trash cans/buckets down, which i thought was super unclean in a restaurant. The staff was SUPER nice though very professional!

The hotel was pretty nice overall. It was definitely a step down compared to the Sheraton that’s connected to it though. The hot water in my room was luke warm at best for my entire stay. I reported it multiple times and nothing was ever done about it. The parking garage is under construction so you have to use the parking lot, which wasn’t a huge deal but I wasn’t expecting it.

The ac system was way out of date and struggled to keep room clean. Service was not what i would exspect at a 4 star. Especially maid service. Room was clean overall but furniture uncomfortable. Bed was amazing! Parking is extra not disclosed anywhere. Parked for 4 days had to pay vellet daily $35. Roof dexk was great view. Drinks were crazy prices but par for a roof top hotel bar. Lounge was very small. Breakfast was excellent. But not worth the $40 + upcharge.

The hotel is in a convenient location. I don’t believe the price fits the overall stay. The room is basic, the outdoor pool was closed but I was told it would be open. The indoor pool is rusted. We were even told by workers the Sheraton is a better option.

Staff were great. Our rooms shower leaked. The shower unit was installed backwards so it could barely produce heat and turning the fixture all the way on produced only cold. There was no fan in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder was broken and randomly fell off producing a loud thud if left on The parking garage was closed for maintenance but the lot next to it was still $25 a night. The pool had rust in it. The elevators were slow and clunky. It was a visibly old room so maybe the one next door would have been a slam dunk but we would likely not stay at le Méridien again

Staff checking in were excellent. There is a very strong smell of an air freshener in the corridors which is awful. The room was small and could have been cleaner the surfaces need to be dusted. The beds are old and need updating. The bed linen is clean. The bathroom is very small and need cleaning the towels were thread bear and we only had one bath towel between 3 of us !

The bed is a terrible style - the feet stick out and my husband smashed 2 of his toes the 1st 10 mins we were in the room. I called the front and everyone we spoke to was helpful and professional. But it ruined the next few days as my husband’s blood toe was painful to walk around on
