    The worst surprise for us was when we get to the entrance the staff told us we have to pay for the parking lot for every single day when we stay. Also there is no lobby, no mail entrance ( you have to walk in from the parking lot on a side of the building. If there was not holtel name on a building you would nave know this is a Hotel.

    The Hyatt part of the building was ok, the elevator and ground floor lobby was absolutely gross. The employees were super nice with only one in particular that completely ignored me during check-in while he stood there staring at his phone. I was the only person at the counter. Then he asked for my id and credit card, I told him that I had already checked in when I dropped off my bags earlier, he said there was no evidence of that, he took my cards, looked everything over, appeared confused and said " you have been checked in already." Also, I was told earlier in the day that I would receive a txt when the room was ready, I never received that txt. Room was very clean and comfortable. It did smell strongly of weed in the morning around 5 am. Overall, I won't be back. Not a good experience for the price. The building is just gross and smells.

    The staff was very pleasant and the room was spacious and clean. The bed very comfortable although it was very difficult finding extra pillows. They advertise it they have a restaurant open 24/7 with the implication that there's room service but there is not. You can order from a limited item menu and then you have to go pick it up yourself. My husband went to pick up our order and returned and my dish was missing. After a couple of phone calls we were told that it had been in the refrigerator and we could come back down and get it. At that point we were exhausted and asked that it be taken off the bill. They assured that they would. Before check out in the morning I asked again if they would make sure it was taken off the bill and they said it was. In the final analysis it was not taken off the bill. While the staff was very pleasant and appeared to be cooperative they simply didn't follow through and that was very frustrating. The other frustration was reading that parking was available but not being told that it was $42 a night. We were not familiar with Charlotte standards. Both the hotel and Expedia should be clear about these extra charges in the description of the property. We feel misled and would not stay there again.

    Breakfast was awesome every morning. Staff refilled anything that needed refilling. Regis at the front desk was very,very good at his job. He is very professional. You should probably reward him more as he does double duty-front desk/bartender duties. He is an asset to your company.

    The room was very spacious and it was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The bar area had plenty of comfortable seating for our group to hang out in. Check-in was easy. The breakfast was very nice with a ton of variety. I would definitely stay here again. My one suggestion would be to bring a night light for the bathroom because the bathroom door has frosted glass so anytime someone got up to use it at night, the bathroom light flooded the hotel room and woke everyone else up.

    The staff was very helpful. Our hotel room was on the 8th floor and a very nice view over downtown and it was very clean. We did like that it was in the center of downtown. Also, the restaurant Fahrenheit is on the rooftop of the hotel, so if you don’t want to go downtown where the crowd is, you could take a quick trip up the elevators. The one thing we had an issue with was the comfortability of the bed. Both myself and my spouse was uncomfortable each night.

    Front desk staff were helpful and efficient, however The downstairs entrance area was flowing over with trash the morning of our checkout. There was a couple sleeping in their car in the valet area. The remnants of Saturday night partying were pretty apparent, with no one taking action to correct it. Loud cussing from persons in room next to ours.

    Great Location, nice room, nice staff There is no free onsite parking! You will need to pay $42/night for unprofessional valet parking. Expect a long wait to pick up and drop off your car on Friday and Saturday nights. Also note that the valet will expect a tip each time you pick up your car.

    Overall property was great close especially if you are coming to any sporting events everything is within walking distance. Also from the valet and all staff inside of hotel everyone was helpful. I did not try out the gym but everything was great for the price to be in Uptown Charlotte.

    Photo used on Expedia is NOT the Hyatt Place lobby or check-in area, but of the high-rise building it is in - check in desk is on level 10 and connected to a tiny poorly-equipped bar with one TV that they could not get to work one night to watch the conference championship NCAA basketball game. There is a large sign that says: "Not owned or operated by Hyatt" which is a red flag. Rooms are old and dated with awful small TVs. I think it was a Holiday Inn that was converted to Hyatt Place - beware.

    Great hotel! Good location not far from Spectrum Arena. Rooms are clean with great views of the city. Valet parking makes it easy to access your vehicle. Staff is so nice and helpful. Gave great recommendations to eateries including Midnight Diner which is right across from Spectrum. The food was delicious! Highly recommended this hotel!

    I believe Sydney was the receptionist. She was incredibly friendly but it was clear the hotel was understaffed. When I got to my room I noted the tv was not working. I informed Sydney of this and she said that she would have maintenance look at it and, if not maintenance, she would have a look. When I returned two hours later she said that no one had went to the room. By this time I was going to bed so I told her not to worry about it. When I went to take a shower I noted that the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner bottles were all empty and had to use the hand soap on the bathroom counter for soap. Probably my worst hotel stay in years.

    even though we didnt purchase extra protection. talking with the hyatt which was aware that the area had weather issues didnt offer anything stating that was there policy. so in the future we will not be using the Hyatt as a place to say. we felt that some reimbursement partial, or future accommodation could have been offered. we will not stay there again in our future visits which will be more.

    The beds were awful, myself and both of my grown daughters woke up almost every hour through the night because of how uncomfortable the mattresses were. Literally the worst we have ever experienced. We travel 50 days a year between us at least , so to be the worst speaks for itself.

    The bathroom art had water stains on the glass, everything else was satisfactory. East access to downtown, valet parking of car which was not cheap but able to use car in & out. Comfortable beds, pillows and toiletries.

    The hotel was ok . The valet parking was terrible. Being that I’m retired veteran I had to bang on the door for the valet person to wake and retrieve my car. I will definitely not recommend this hotel for any of my veterans friend. I never had my vehicle damaged ever in all the locations/ states I’m travel too.

    The fire alarm went off, and everyone at the hotel had to evacuate. I didn't even get a notice about when to come back inside, so I stayed gone all day. What a waste of money! I came back randomly as if nothing had happened. No, I wasn't refunded for that day, but I was extremely tired with nowhere to sleep. The supervisor stated that they weren't reimbursing me for that day because it was only a fire drill and that they don't alert people to let them know when they are able to come back unless they are standing in front of the building. But why would I stay if the fire alarm is going off? I've never experienced anything like it, so of course, I left and went far from the building. I wasn't too happy about that situation. Plus, my phone didn't work, so every time I needed something, I would have to go get it. I told two people on two different days, and nothing was done about it. I've been to this hotel five times on separate occasions when I visit Charlotte, North Carolina, but this time I wasn't happy with my stay.

There is a small downhill walk to the hotel door which is basically for cars. We primarily walked and it was very uncomfortable with cars backing up the hill to enter the building garage which was at the top of this small hill. Almost every car backed up at a fairly high speed and we had to jump out of the way. We found that whole thing very sketchy. Hotel lobby is on the 10th floor. It is part of what seemed like an office building. Overall we had a good stay. However we would not stay here again.

    Problem free stay from start to finish. We were in walking distance of everywhere we needed to go. The overnight valet was higher than I remembered but I chalked it up to the price of doing business. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

    But…the hotel is pricey. Our room for a quiet Thursday night was $350 plus valet parking. And that’s fine but the room was quite dated and very weird. It had a whole quarter of a room with nothing in it except one old chair. Then the king bed was set off from the tv, but the tv was also set off from the little sofa area. The room was very dark (the bathroom was like putting my makeup on by nightlight), the shower pressure was so low I had trouble getting the shampoo out of my hair, and the walls were sort of bare and scuffed. There was no actual nightlight and the door between bathroom and room was glass, so you could risk falling in the dark or sleeping in a light room. Worst, the AC was soooo loud. When it came on in the night it woke us up. Look, it’s downtown Charlotte so I get the expense. It just could have been a bit nicer for the price. Everyone was so nice, though. That turned the review from a 3 to a 4. I’d stay again but look for a better rate.

    Felt like it was not even close to what the pictures tried to show on line , breakfast was not more than continental with what tastes like powdered eggs , the restaurant Fahrenheit is so overpriced and so under deliveries!! Bar area wasn’t welcoming at all it was hard to keep stall from talking to each other to even get you a drink !!!

    That being said it was like staying in a better up kept holiday inn. Not very luxurious or along the lines of what the Hyatt place was advertised. Thought now looking at some of the images it looks like a lot of them Have been heavily edited. The bed and bedding were some of the most uncomfortable I’ve slept with or on. We asked for extra pillows which we had to go down and get ourselves, only to go down and then tell us they don’t have any spares, we wound up going to tj maxx and getting pillows for the trip because it was honestly unbearable. Don’t opt for a room on a higher floor since the hotel doesn’t even start till the 8th floor so paying the extra 60/70$ for a “higher floor” is misleading. All day long you hear the sound of bricks falling but after walking by the one of the house keepers, i noticed they all have huge rocks they use as door stoppers and they just free drop them on to the tile floors. The hotel is combined with residential condos as well but they have their own separate elevators. There is a rooftop spot called Fahrenheit but was told to avoid it by staff at our hotel due to the high traffic of sex workers that camp out there for easier access to the business men that stay at the hotel I’m sure. The ac worked really well.

    My stay was not good I never had a room where I had to pay for parking the valet parking should have been included with the room, I never had a room with no microwave, the phone in the room didn’t work, there was no pool, the bed was suppose to be a king but it was more like a full size bed. It was just a terrible experience and I would never book here again and they don’t tell you anything up front it’s all a surprise after you go to check in and I had to wait a whole week to get my deposit back from the room. 😡😡😡😡never again spoiled my whole birthday weekend

    The Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown (HP) is located adjacent to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention center, both a short walk. There are many dining choices nearby. The hotel is located on the middle floors of a tower. The lobby is on floor 10 and the guest rooms are floors 10-14. This is a bit of an odd situation, but manageable. The staff was very friendly and the room was well appointed and large. Everything worked well. There was daily housekeeping. Breakfast is included - and it was high quality. Condition of the hotel is new-like. There is a fitness center if you want jog/run indoors. If you wish to run on the streets, I recommend going south away from the city center. There is small park in the midst of the adjacent government buildings.

    The only small issue is how long it took to get the car from valet as we followed the directions told to us by texting a particular number. After 20 minutes, my son inquired and he was told it is so busy on the weekend that they don't have time to "check the system" so it's best to just tell them when you need your car.     We've stayed here several times and it is our favorite in Charlotte. Quiet, great breakfast and very clean. We love the bar and lounge area. Staff is amazing and very helpful. Can't wait to go back!

    The Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful about the surrounding area for dining. Plus, the buffet breakfast was top notch. Because one has to catch the elevator to check-in, it felt strange but gave one an extra feeling of safe. And it neat the convention center and other major event sites.

    The hotel staff kindly sent us an email before our stay with clear instructions that made finding the valet a breeze. Everyone we encountered was extremely kind and helpful. We were given a large, gorgeous room that was even better than we anticipated. The breakfast was also delicious. A 10 out of 10 stay. Would recommend and would stay again.

    Bed was very comfortable. Room was very large. Clean bathroom and furnishings. Actually very dark at night. The blackout curtains had no "leaks" of light. Great night of sleep.

    I know breakfast was free was it was very meh. The sliding door for the bathroom was not the easiest to close. The cleaning lady came into our room around 10am speaking mostly Spanish. She asked if we were checking out today or tomorrow? Should probably be on a schedule for them so they don’t have these awkward interactions with guests.

    My wife and I loved staying in this hotel. The area was great, easy to get to places. Valet parking was great and likes not having to find a place to park. Very quiet area and inside hotel. All the staff was very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

    The staff were very friendly, informative and helpful! However, I had a problem with my room where there was a leak in our bathroom. The ceiling was leaking and a puddle of water formed beside the toilet. We also had to dry the toilet seat every time we used the bathroom. We didn’t realize it until late because we got there with just enough time to get there and get dressed to make it to our event. We noticed the problem late but called and there was no maintenance in the building. We felt entitled to a discount for our inconvenience but they said because we made our purchase through a third party, they couldn’t discount our room. I am not sure about going this route in the future because if I can’t be reimbursed for mishaps like this, that is a loss on my end!

    Overall my stay was pleasant. The breakfast was good and varied daily. It was quiet in the hotel which was a plus. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were ultra thin. The location was phenomenal because it was in the center of downtown. Parking was horrendous because it is valet only ($38/daily) and street parking was just as expensive.

From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding — the staff are genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve encountered. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, making the whole experience smooth. The hotel’s location is super convenient — it’s within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions, yet far enough from the nightlife to stay quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a Deluxe King room on the highest floor, and the space was impressively large for the price. It felt like a great value. The included breakfast was a huge plus — fresh and delicious. The amenities and overall facilities are excellent. We were very impressed with everything and absolutely feel that it was worth the money. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Charlotte!

    Definitely worth it. My room was nice, quiet & clean. Stayed on The 11th floor with a nice view out my window. You can basically walk to where you want in the uptown area. It’s a whole vibe. Oh, the breakfast was on point as well as the Restaurant/Lounge Fahrenheit rooftop with crazy views day and night. I’ll be back soon🌟

    Charged $40 for early arrival even though housekeeping had clearly finished the entire floor. Breakfast was better than expected but late putting it out and Jo raisins even though sign clearly said raisins. Valet parking efficient. Room very large with good shades

    The hotel was close to the Charlotte Convention center for a Mary Kay convention I was attending. I booked through Expedia but the hotel put a hold on my card for the whole $1050.00 instead of just an amount for incidentals. This limited my spending while in Charlotte.

    I can't say enough about the excellent service, breakfast options, and the space I had in my room at Hyatt Place in downtown Charlotte! Every employee smiled and was so helpful from the moment I stepped in on Monday afternoon until I left Thursday morning! This was the best free breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. There was plenty of food and it was replenished regularly. I roomed alone on this trip and I was ecstatic when I saw my space!!! I had a corner suite with tons of windows, kitchenette, dining room table, large living room, king bed with a seperate dressing room for all of my clothes, and the bathroom was so spacious. This hotel is also walking distance to the convention center, so I never had to use my car or get an Uber. The rooftop restaurant, Fahrenheit, is a must, when you visit Charlotte.

    If they could have fixed the air conditioning in the room, our stay would have been great. Our room was 77+ degrees for 2 nights. We were assured the HVAC guy would be there first thing in the morning, and we were first on the list. He called in sick and we were never told he wasn't coming. On day 4 we finally moved rooms, which wasn't an easy task for 2 women who completely unpacked for a 5 night conference with a formal event.

    I loved the staff. Very nice and respectful. Spent some time down in the lobby at the bar with the two front counter guys and they were amazing. Enjoyed every experience with them. I eventually booked a 2 queen for me and my gf with our son but they mentioned a king suite since he was only 5 and can sleep on the pull out bed. Counter person gave us a free upgrade for that. Valet team was very nice also. This place took care of us for our visit. Will be coming back soon!!!

    Room was spacious and clean. Front desk staff member was unfriendly and was ranting to another staff member while we stood waiting to check in. The description of the hotel didn’t explain that valet parking was the only option and received an email from the hotel the morning of the reservation explaining the parking situation. We had an issue with blockage in the bathroom (around 10:30pm) and was told there was no maintenance on site to fix. They did offer another room but my kid was already sleeping.

    Room was clean. Refrigerator was old and loud but not as loud as the air conditioner. It was VERY loud and kept me from sleeping. Woke up to the sound of it coming on at least 3 times each night i was there. The weather was hot so there was no choice but to have the AC on. Not the most restful sleep for 2 nights.
