    The hotel was wonderful. It's in a great, walkable location and was well maintained. My room was a good size with a full kitchen which made preparing food in the room a breeze. Breakfast had a lot of options- pretty standard hotel fare. The front desk staff was helpful, and the room staff were quick to bring any supplies I needed. The outdoor pool area was wonderful, and I spent quite a bit of time relaxing there. As usual, the only items that detracted from my stay were other patrons. Some people felt that everyone wanted to hear their music by the pool and that full blast was the only way to play it. Other than that, it was a wonderful 6 days.

    This was a beautiful property. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, it was a wonderful experience. The front office staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast tasted great and the selections were more than one can expect. I was thankful that they had a microwave to warm up the eggs and meat provided. Breakfast burritos...wow! For one that does not eat pork, they had a great selection of breakfast sausage i.e. chicken or turkey to choose from. Most hotels do not provide this and I appreciated this. The room and bathroom were clean and everything worked perfectly. The bed was just right. If you are ever in Charlotte, I would highly recommend that you stay at this hotel.

    Perfect place to stay very clean and the front desk so polite and helpful. I watched them with other people and it was a pleasure to see the care they had for each person. The rooms were very clean breakfast was great and the bar was very nice including the beautiful sweet young ladies.

    I did not use this RSVP. Why I'm receiving this I'm unsure. I was told all 3 of my cards were declined and left after the disturbance in the lobby during checkout. So stop sending me this stuff. I only booked the RSVP. I did not go on any room floors I stayed strictly in the lobby check in areas on both sides for the two hotels since the staff boy had to cancel my original RSVP and change it to the neighboring hotel on the property. What a mess!

    Disappointing stay. The staff is nice and the location convenient but the service is minimal: rooms are cleaned every other day, they charge for water, they charge for parking and the linen and blankets had lot of pilling

    Nothing wrong with the property just the heater in our room. It was very cold in our room so we turned on the heater. It started making a most unpleasant noise. Went to front desk to inquire about changing room. No one at the front desk after hours. And no maintenance on site to make repairs. I've stayed at other Homewood Suites before and this experience just wasn't up to par!

    Nice staff. Between their computer system and their operators they could not get our reservation straight. We spent a week there with them not being able to fix what should have been simple - our mere presence in the hotel. Problems with anything a key card accesses.

    Poor Hotel Management. After 10 nights My family and were thrown out of this Hotel by Manager Anthony and Security for an email query for an over charge of $1111.85 on the threat of Police to remove us with security guards giving me my wife and my 15 year old child 30 mins to pack get our" ass" out of his hotel. In the middle of winter Traumatize Upon checking in and registered my master card with Reservations the attendant verified that amount was paid in full when I requested the hotel to take the full payment for the 10 day stay. Via bookings.com I extended my stay by 1 night 3rd-4th Jan however Homewood Suites claimed the Bookings.com did not pay for our stay in full paid only $585 1- Room was set up with towels and Crockery for only 2 Guests although notice for 3 guests were addressed when booking 2- Heating was not working for the first 2 nights- Maintenance had to disconnect the thermostat to enable temperature of 85 degrees to be attained by using the manual controls on the units itself. 3. Scalding Hot water in Taps only/No Cold during the first day stay maintenance had to rectify some problem in the Boiler Room. Another event repeated itself on our return when my 15year old taking a shower at at 2 am. no maintenance was available to rectify the problem therefore I had to use purchased Spring water from Whole Foods for my child to wash off the soap on his body. At approximately 10:00am the Maintenance rectified the problem citing a plumbing design causing the problem. 3. 5 Days no quarters (0.25) available at the Front Desk for use of the Washing machine and Dryer Guest laundry on the second Floor 4. Housekeeping Poor cannot properly prepare beds/ no vacuuming of carpets and Kitchen tiled floor poorly mopped. 5. Housekeeping failed to refill Body wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Wash, for 8 Days all bottles were almost empty on our arrival Room was poorly Prepped. I had to remind Front Desk 4 Days in a row.

    On the 10th Day Stay Terrible Manager Anthony abused and traumatized my family and on the threat of police had hotel security throw us out of the hotel in the middle of winter for an email query for email sent questioning over charges on our credit cards.Hurled profane abuses at us. My wife, 15 year old Child and I were thrown out into the streets. Manager Anthony lied to hotel security and called police that my family was creating a disturbance in the hotel lobby and we are banned from the hotel. All untrue. We have the entire event recorded and presently we are contemplating legal action.

    I hope the Hilton/Homewood company values the extremely hardworking front desk and cleaning staff at this busy hotel. They were working hard to take care of the many guests while I was there -- and some of the guests were rude and disrespectful of the front desk staff. The staff remained incredibly patient and professional throughout. Every one of them -- and everyone of the cleaning staff who have huge rooms to quickly clean (including kitchens) deserves a raise!!

    The King suite was clean and stocked with everything you needed for your stay. The hotel is pet-friendly, too. The bar had great food and drinks, and the bartenders were friendly. The staff was fantastic, and the breakfast was amazing!! I highly recommend staying here.

Staff was excellent, however, in providing flashlights and help during the “adventure”. Pleasantly surprised by above-average options on the included breakfast buffet, and restaurant-like feel to the separate dining area. Highly recommend.

    Location was good, parking always available ($10 per day), free coffee all day. Rude staff. Watch out for the breakfast lady! You better not slip and put something in the wrong place. She will let you know in a condescending way and give you a bitter stare down. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast food would get 4/10. For some reason our room was always damp unless the AC was on constant. Windows for fresh air would be nice. Refrigerator light bulb was out. Small details, but adds up. Seems the staff was either lazy or disorganized as we had to ask repeatedly for items lacking in the room like pans, hangers, and shower gel. Lastly we asked for check out extension, which was granted after the staff got the manager to approve it, but then we were called to check out sooner because the late checkout “was never approved.” They said we would have to pay extra to check out later. Had to fight to keep my late check out which I did not appreciate.

    The friendliness of check-in was average at best. The room was typical hotel room, average cleanliness. The bar/restaurant had 1 bartender/server on a PGA event weekend. The bar area and seating was full, with people walking out due to poor service. Saturday, we walked out after 15 minutes of no service, the lady was chatting with folks and cared less about serving customers. Sunday the guy was hustling, but again one man for a full bar.

    Hotel could definitely benefit with some updates. Furniture, decor and walls were definitely well worn, kitchen items were sparse, ice machines didn’t work, etc. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was a nice touch. Cleanliness was decent but could have been better. I wouldn’t stay again.

    I would not visit this hotel again in my life. Service was poor, I’ve seen motels have better service than what was provided here. The room was in terrible condition, fans weren’t working, ceiling vents almost falling out (safety concern?), blinds wouldn’t shut. Even during check-in, the man was sitting with I’m going to assume friends in the lobby while we were at the counter, he checked us in with barely a word and I’ve never had this happen ever but didn’t even tell us the room we had. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this hotel as you can.

However, the room had a slightly musty smell and the containers of shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap were all nearly empty (an annoying thing to discover once I was already in the shower!). Needed a bit more attention to detail but nothing terrible. Would stay there again if the most budget friendly option, but would likely choose another spot if the prices were equivalent.

    We had a 4-night stay at this Homewood suites in late September. The property, the room and the pool area are all very nice. It was clean and the staff was over the top (in a nice way) friendly. The only problem we encountered was getting someone to clean and bring fresh towels. Even after we specifically requested after 3 days/2nights being there.

    Horrible experience with this hotel. It is in very bad condition and in desperate need of an overhaul. The room was clean, but the blinds were broken, sofa stuffing falling out, barely warm water for a shower, toilet paper holder broken, one small lamp in the suite area. The sofa was so smelly that you had to sit on a towel just to use the sofa. The exterior of the hotel was filthy. Old food, swarming with flies left out for days, old cigarettes. This was all reported to the front desk and absolutely ignored. The absolute worst thing was the safety lock that sites beside the door so that the room cannot be broken into was hanging on by 2 loose screws, so it did not work at all. We felt terribly unsafe in the room with our 85 year old mother.

    Friendly reception and large rooms with convenient apartment-style layouts and kitchens, but disappointed in bathrooms and amenities…empty shampoo/conditioner containers (realized of course while taking a shower), no soap at sink, stained shower curtains, broken drain cover, run down doors (scratched paint) and no door to the bathroom area (only to the toilet) so if you’re looking for privacy at the bathroom sink, there won’t be any. $10/day parking which I was not expecting ( no other parking available anywhere nearby so it can add up quickly in additional fees). The room are not as bright and lively as pictured but pricing overall is reasonable for the size of room and location, although probably would not choose to stay here again.

    I traveled from SC with my fiancé, one year old and two month old for an executive exam. The representative named JB was extremely rude when I asked if I could check in early as I forgot the check in time was in the afternoon and not the morning. She said, “We don’t have rooms.”I called the office and I spoke with the sales director. She was pleasant and quickly found a room to accommodate us. When I entered the building the account manager was at the front desk and quickly tried to check us in. She was also pleasant. Once JB returned she stated to the accounting manager, “I don’t know why she’s here, I told her we don’t have any rooms for her.” JB wouldn’t help until the sales director asked her twice. Once she checked us in she handed my card to the accounting manager to hand to me. Every time I entered the building she was very intimidating. I am very disappointed with this visit and her behavior.

    The lobby of the hotel had an unappealing odor. It’s a dual property and only one staff person was working both desks. I was charged for parking without being told there was a charge. I only found out after I checked out and the bill was higher than I’d booked. I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.

    The hotel is beautiful, but the first room we received had a severely clogged bathroom sink, so we switched. In the 2nd room the ceiling fan did not work, the sofa was worn and uncomfortable and the eating table was completely unstable and wobbly. We could barely put anything on it. The hot breakfast was cold each morning and there was hardly ever anyone at the front desk. The coo de gra was booking through the site didn't disclose that there was a daily fee charged for using the hotels parking lot to park your car during your stay.

    I got bit five times from bed bugs, and it took 20 mins to check in because no one was at the front desk. They moved us to a new room, which didn’t have bed bugs but hair was on the towels. I stayed here because the hotel is only five years old. New night shift employees and cleaning staff is needed. We visit Charlotte often, but we will never stay at Homewood Suites. There are too many other hotels in Southpark to consider.
