This was a phenomenal hotel in the price was amazing. This pool was very nice, updated and exceptionally clean. We got the family room with two queen beds and a pull out couch, I was shocked at the size of the room it was massive. The rooms were quiet and seemed to be well insulated, room was decorated fancy and forma,l very nice. The beds were comfortable, the linens or luxurious and very comfortable as well. Bathroom was very nice and having all of the bedding for the pull out couch already in the room was so convenient. It was cold and rainy when we went but there was a pool in a basketball court which would have been so much fun for my teenage boys if it wasn't raining and cold. Would absolutely stay here again and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very clean property and spacious suite. Conveniently located near the interstate and easy to find. Friendly staff, solid breakfast offering and a noon checkout. Would definitely stay here again.

Instead, it felt like they just didn’t care once they had the payment.

The first room wasn’t clean. There were bodily fluids in the bathroom, and on the wall. We were relocated to another room. After using the onsite laundry facility the washer wasn’t working correctly and soaked our clothing. All I could do was hang dry them. The manager offered a dry cleaning service on the house. The dry cleaners lost our clothes. The clothes that were dry cleaned were located at another hotel. A pair of $130 pants for work are still missing. Not a dime of our stay was refunded.

Very nice secluded area, closer to many great restaurants and shops.. perfect for our couples weekend staycation. Easy access inside the property.. One of our nights there, we encountered a homeless person walk in the hotel (staff was not at front desk) and hop on the elevator. He was unfortunately on our floor roaming the hallways when we made it up there.. I skids alert staff and was notified he was kicked off the property but had I been alone, that could have been a problem.

Our experience was overall great. We were there for an outpatient surgical/dental procedure and the location was great. The first room we were to check into had a four odor when we walked in, but the front desk employee immediately changed us into another room, which was very clean and odor free. The only negative was the large heavy table sitting in the front of the couch. We have one large and one small, absolutely dominated the room and took up too much space, especially if you use the sofa pullout.

However, my experience on Dec 15 and Jan 16 were very different. Though I made sure that I booked the same type of room (King/Studio) on both the occasions, the size/layout and the quality of the two rooms were vastly different. The room that we were given the second time were smaller, without the clear separation of bed and couch like the first time, and the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut. We did let the front desk know, but I guess once they assign you a room, it's too late to change. Everything else were good: breakfast is standard, location is good, no noise, rooms are clean, etc. Anyway, my overall impression is that the location works very well for us and the actual lived experience depends on what room we end up getting. It's also a bit expensive, to be completely fair.

The Location, it was clean and the staff were friendly I forgot my tooth brush and they even have a little shop but no tooth brush? Isn’t that a pretty big thing most people need? Also the room was dark! And there was no hair dryer.

Family trip for a NFL game with kids. Even though the pool was closed for the season it was nice to have the basketball court outside with the patio area to let them get energy out after a long drive. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was quiet and clean. Our room was very spacious. Having the extra space with a suite and kitchen space for longer trips and a large family makes such a huge difference. Extra bonus that it didn’t break the bank to get all those extras. Great restaurants in walking distance. It was close enough to downtown without being in the middle of downtown traffic and chaos. Saving this hotel for future stays for sure!!

The staff was extremely polite and friendly! The main issue was the smell in the room. Upon immediate checking into the room there was a terrible smell. I made front desk staff aware of it. It smells like a combination of stinky feet and pet odors. I was offered housekeeping or room switch. I honestly think the carpets need to be deep cleaned or replaced.

All staff from the front desk to the breakfast ladies and the housekeepers were friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The other guests in the hotel were quiet as was the area. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The staff was great, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and spacious, and breakfast was delicious. The location was very convenient to get to the interstate and Carowinds amusement park, the reason for our stay, was only about 15 minutes away. My only minor complaint was that the pool was extremely cold, but that was as much the weather's fault as the hotel's. It was unseasonably cool at night during our trip and I assume the pool is not heated.

The breakfast was included I forgot the lady name but the one from Tuesday to Thursday morning what a sweetheart my kids said they felt like grandma was making waffles for them. Steve or Steven from the front desk provided different places that were family friendly. Rooms and room service are just the pictures and the information provided. If i’m in town will stay there again.

Size of bathroom- TINY, like a cruise ship bathroom. Sofas- in BOTH rooms , the sofas were visibly dirty/stained and the first room we were assigned, it was actually broken.

It was a great stay at the Homewood Suites, I enjoyed the space and living room area. I think maybe it's time for a change of some of the furniture. But the staff was very professional and the Suites very clean, if you needed anything just ask and it is done.

The staff was wonderful. BUT the room was not what we were accustomed as a standard for a Hilton property. The room was not as advertised! We booked a King Suite which was promoted on their website to have an Ergonomic chair workstation. My hubby needed space to work. I pointed this out to the manager on duty. The carpet in our room was very dirty, gave the room a stale oder. The sofia was so old and dilapidated we couldn't sit on it..The rooms need an upgrade...Did not enjoy the stay. I do not recommend, would not stay here again.

I absolutely loved the location many restaurants in a 3 minute walk. Staff was great as well. The only bad part was the room. We booked a suite to give us plenty of space but there were food stains on the ottoman and the drawers on the tv stand were broken scratched up and crooked.

This was also our second property try and I'm not a fan of the mattress that looks to be standard for the chain. I think this is our last time at a Homewood.

I liked the size and cleanliness of the rooms. Location was perfect.

Our room smelled like dead rat& mildew coming from air conditioning unit. When I called the front desk they said they couldn’t switch our rooms because we were in a suite and none were available that they could only send someone to spray something. The basketball court had wasps that they needed to be sprayed for and no room service ever came to our room. The trash can in the suite is very small and never emptied.

Drains in the room, hardly drained. Homewood suites used to be our favorite place to stay with the family, but it’s starting to fall down the list now.

Hotel itself was OK, but be very careful with parking. My truck and another Ram truck got broken into. Driver side rear windows were smashed. No security cameras to catch act and we were both parked under lights.

Our 3 day stay was nice. I have no complaints about the service and the room was big and fairly nice.

The room, facility, and grounds were very clean. It was great to stay in a place where smokers weren't congregating by the front door, so the smell of smoke wasn't noticeable as I walked in. The front desk staff and those who worked in the breakfast area were extremely pleasant and cordial. Breakfast was good, with a lot of choices to select from. The hotel is also in a great location, with a lot of places to visit and dine. I will definitely stay there again when traveling to the area.

The property is beautiful. The room was spacious, but the AC units for the room and common area were not created equal. 65 degrees in the common area felt cool, while the same temperature in the rooms where we slept were way warmer than it read. Sleeping was not comfortable due to the temperature, but other than that we enjoyed our time passing through. Great location if you don't want to go far

Management (Dax) at the hotel was did not represent the Hilton Brand with his lack of concern regarding the broken car window that occurred on the property. There were several vandalized cars(smashed windows). Essentially his attitude was it wasn't his responsibility. Either Dax need additional training or removed as a Manager and believe me I don't want anyone to lose their job but his lack of not even providing a resolution to ensure guests are comfortable to return this property wasn't non-existent. It's my understanding that this type of vandalism has occurred on this property before. The guest who was standing outside with me stated that this was the 2nd time this has happened to him on this very property.

I liked the location, close to many stores. I didn’t like, that we found a hoodie on tv stand from previous guests. Beds were creaking badly, thought they were going to fall apart. Pillows were almost flat. Shower head was leaking between tubing and the thread causing the bathroom floor to get soaked. The bathtub spout was loose, thought it was going to fall off. Booked for 4 and was provided 3 towels.

Very clean, very quiet property. When I checked in the room was not ready which bothered me a bit. However, the staff offered me a complimentary bottle of wine for my trouble which helped ease the pain ;). Overall I had a great stay and would come back if ever in the area again.

Definitely a home away from home. My only two complaints are that the couch in the room was stained and the breakfast was underwhelming. Those are not deal breakers so it would not deter me from staying again.

This time, two days after we checked out, our account was hit with a $500 charge for a broken television that was in full working order and in one piece when we left the room. We received nothing but static from the front desk and the manager and no proof of the television that was actually broken. Clearly a lot can happen in two days after you check out of a room and at this property, YOU PAY FOR STUFF THAT BREAKS WHEN YOU’RE LONG GONE! If you decide to take the risk and stay at this property, I recommend photographing and recording video of everything in the room as you leave with a member of hotel management on camera and supervising the exercise. You are at risk of giant charges placed on your credit card with no proof and no recourse. We’ve disputed the charges with Hilton Honors and with my credit card company, but I don’t expect to get satisfaction from this terrible hotel property. The property has gone downhill since we first stayed here when it first opened and is a bit shabby. We overlooked this because it’s generally been clean and we don’t spend much time at the hotel except to sleep.

I forgot an important item in my room and when I called the front desk, Steven found my item and arraigned for it to be sent FEDEX, all in less than 30 minutes. Thank you Steven!!!

Room was perfect size. Spacious with Plenty of room for the kids with two tv’s. Only thing I can say bad was the cleaning service kept trying to come in our room at 9 am. Two different time with in 5 minutes.

It was my first time in Charlotte and there were many hotel choices, I chose this hotel because of the reviews and the shuttle. However, I learned that the shuttle does not take you anywhere, I was told it was only for the corporate and business travellers to take them to meetings. I wish this was made clear on their write up. Some of the staff were amazing yes, but one guy, not so much. He was never at the desk just the TV and he was not friendly or courteous and I decided it was best to keep to myself and not interact with him. Feeling this way at a hotel travelling alone at a hotel very far from many things, is not a good feeling. The Breakfast staff were amazing (they make your waffles for you) and they are very quick with clean up and do not leave a lot of anything out. I had to ask for peanut butter and extra syrup each day. But they were nice about it. Also the two ladies that worked the desk were just lovely. The lady that was there at night and the other early in the morning. They were kind, courteous answered questions and made me feel good about my decision to stay there.

Bad: The hotel appeared to be very clean however there was a roach in our room one morning and another one in the hallway - gross. When I told the employee at the front desk, he didn't seem to be worried and just said that he'd let the manager know. I paid a bit more to stay at this property than I could have if I had stayed elsewhere and definitely wasn't expecting to have to share my accommodations with uninvited insect guests. Our reservation was for 5 guests and we were only given 3 bath towels, which I found odd, but had no problem getting additional towels upon request.

The hotel was clean and located near shopping and dining. The staff was very friendly. I also liked the ability to stream Netflix and YouTube. The only downside is there is no door between the bedroom and vanity sink. I wake up early and there's no real way not to disturb my husband lol.

Room was spacious ✅ because handicapped. Toilet ran with a trickle the whole time. The real disappointment was breakfast- miserable selection not even enough for guests by 9:00.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. the only reason I gave comfort 1 star less is because the bed liinens were too hot with duvet comforters and we had to remake the bed with linens in the closet! I know that's a personal choice, however, Charlotte folks aren't used to European type of covers when the winters aren't that cold. It makes us crank up the air and isn't comfortable.
