    Our room would not automatically lock when we left and the front desk did not seem to care about our safety. They said they would call maintenance and had no other rooms for the night. We never got an update. Luckily our room locked from the inside but we still had to keep our valuables in our car when we had to leave the property. The elevator dinged every time someone got on and off the elevator so bring some earplugs since the walls are paper-thin. That was the worst sleep I've ever had in a hotel. Also be prepared to pay for parking... which is absolutely ridiculous!! Was also disappointed the pool was closed. On the plus side the room appeared to be clean. Will be staying elsewhere when we come back to Charlotte. I felt ripped off by this hotel.

    Our only complaint was getting housekeeping to take our trash and dirty towels and supply us with clean towels. We never saw housekeeping our entire stay. We got towels from the front desk.

    We had an excellent stay very clean comfortable room, airport shuttle was a plus, breakfast was good, staff was great! We were disappointed the pool was closed. Staff told us it was closed for cleaning but didn’t look they were working on it. We were disappointed because that was the main reason I had booked this hotel for the kids to enjoy the pool.

    Great free breakfast. Beds were comfortable and the hotel overall felt very well taken care of. Nadiyah at the front desk helped me tremendously when my daughter got ill late at night. Very accommodating and helpful!

    I paid $263.40 for our family cruise and the room had left over coffee cups that was trash laying in between the chair and leg rest and also a pair of white sandals that didn’t belong to us were left in the bathroom obviously didn’t belong to us! Also had to ask for more pillows and blankets waited and no one came after calling front desk so I went down and had to get them ourselves again paying that much for a tiny room nasty with coffee trash cups left and shoes that were never picked up so obviously room wasn’t double checked before making sure someone else enters a room! Well it was old I was in second building in room 828 and I just feel it wasn’t worth the money that was paid, we had prior booked the hotel stay a bit ago to ensure their was enough time and room, we also wen ahead at a later time when our return flights got delayed on April 19th so we just ended up reserving another stay for April 19th -20th but not sure sure now!

    My stay here was the worst I ever experienced. I recommend anyone to not stay here at this hotel because the staff there is so unprofessional. They try to charge me more money to stay, when I already paid four four nights. They wanted to charge me a additional 175 dollars. The pool was nasty and smelled really bad! I had to call the front desk to get them to go clean the pool. It smelled like meadow! It was horrible 😢

    In the morning when I tried to catch the shuttle and they didn’t wait for me. I was even more aggravated. However, the manager came over to me, she completely listened to my issue that I had and why I chose this , she completely said she was going to correct this problem and then offered to drive me to the airport in her personal vehicle. Danyelle……(I think her name was)not only went way above and beyond, but she showed what real Customer Service truly is!! The kind you don’t find anymore. Danielle went way above to listen to my issue, to understand the issue, apologized, and stated that she would take care of this with her staff. I’ve never met a manager so genuinely nice and truly listened. She really wanted to know the problems and I believe she’s going to take care this issue. It was so nice to experience, genuine, customer care! I think I’m going to send her flowers. She was so human and showed real concern for my issue. Holiday Inn needs acknowledge this manager. She’s amazing!

    Location and bus shuttle. We had to wait an hour for our room to be ready. Requested a 4pm check in. . Desk clerk gave us the keys. We went to the room. The door was ajar and the bed was unmade. I have never experienced this before at a Holiday Inn Express.

    Room was clean and very spacious! Individual who checked us in was very sweet and pleasant. The only problems we encountered were during breakfast. One of your employees dropped an open sleeve of coffee cups, looked around to see if anyone had seen this, and then placed them on the other ones. Gross! The second problem, we encountered was an individual who tried to rush us after we had eaten breakfast. She then proceeded to tell us no rush, but was clearly trying to clean up the area we were in.

    The thermostat on the wall was very complicated, options were: Set, Hold, Run, Heat, Cool, Fan Auto, Fan On, arrow up, arrow down. I set it to Auto & set my desired temperature. The screen would display "Temporary." After a few hours, the temperature would change on its own. I was up and down all night readjusting the unit. I got 4 out of a potential 8 hours of sleep. Also the toggle for the bathroom sink stopper was broken. The sink never drained.

    The hotel looks better online. It’s not bad aesthetically, but TV in the room was small and I did see roaches outside the hotel in the parking lot which isn’t a good look. The free breakfast was subpar, but it was free so I guess you can’t complain completely.

    My stay was disappointing. The room wasn’t very clean, and we even found marijuana packages left behind. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and poorly maintained. Definitely expected better attention to cleanliness and room checks before guests arrive.

    The room are spacious. The rooms could use better cleaning especially the bathroom, stained bath tubs , our bathroom sink was clogged and draining water so slow ( called front desk and they addressed the issue right away). The carpet in the rooms could some deep cleaning. The curtains had stains on them, they need to be cleaned too. Overall our stay was there was ok, location is very convenient, very close to the airport.

    When we landed, called front desk to ask where we get shuttle and she was not helpful (just go out there where shuttles are). It was so busy and crowded, and waited, so had to pay taxi $38.00 for short trip. Hotel was nice and staff were nice, but it was so NOISEY (loud trucks, etc) all night long - did not get sleep. Shuttle service going back to airport was excellent and gentleman was so friendly.

    The dresser, night stand, and desk still had stains. There were cup rings on the night stands. The escutcheon was detached from the shower wall and The floor around the front of the toilet wasn’t cleaned well. Other than those issues, it was a good stay.

    The late night staff wasn’t friendly, I also wasn’t aware of the pay for parking until I had to ask. I thought you only had to pay if you were keeping your car there during vacation. Also still waiting on my money to be put back on my card for the $50 inconvenience fee.

    We were disappointed to learn onsite that they don't clean the rooms at all during your stay, no matter how long you're staying. They only bring you new towels and empty your trash, nothing else. Otherwise, they said you can request a full cleaning, which we did, and they still never did. They also only brought us towels and emptied our trash on one of the three nights we were there. As a young family with a baby and diapers, this was a hardship. Other than that, it was a good stay. The daily breakfast was hot and tasty, property was in good condition, bed and shower were good The gym was totally decent, we used it multiple times while there.

    The rooms need a good deep clean and some care. There was a broken tile with an inch diameter circle missing from the tile. Around the the tub fixtures and behind the bathroom door need a good scrubbing along with the fixed shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser.

Our room was as booked, however it was not deep cleaned. Sheets appeared to be changed but corners were dirty with dust and hairs, counters were not wiped down, the shower/tub was clean however the caulking had pink mildew and rust stains, the shower head also had pink mildew so we didn’t shower, our carpet had a sticky spot and a there was a faint mildew smell in the hallway. The hallway didn’t appear to be vacuumed well as there was debris including a q-tip outside of a room for more than 24 hours. Parking is $10 per night, just an fyi. We may have had an off-day or they were short staffed on cleaning teams. Overall it was convenient for flight travel, just wish our room was cleaner.

There seems to be staffing issues. The coffee area which is suppose to be available 24/7 was always unkept, always low on coffee creamers, and one evening unusable because trays needed to be emptied. The front desk staff appears to be in charge of breakfast and taking care of entire front area of lobby which is a lot. Floors were always dirty by elevators, garbage by elevators always floor, very little to no towels by the pool. Staff was very friendly and approachable but they gave way to much to do. The front desk ladies were all really nice. They assisted in checking me into a room early afternoon because my flight was early so I didn’t have to wait in the lobby. Biggest issue was that housekeeping never came to take out garbage and change towels during my entire stay (3 nights). They was irritating. When I called about it, I was told I could get my own towels at the front lobby. If you’re not going to provide housekeeping service during people’s stay, they should be told up front. Larger bins for garbage should be provided along with extra garbage bags in each room. I did like that my room had a safe, a large fridge and microwave. Room was fairly clean at check in but floors were not super clean. Beds and pillows were pretty comfortable. Overall an average hotel with very nice staff!

    Our flight got cancelled, so we were unable to fly in to NC. When I called to explain the situation they were very rude, and told me it was my fault for poor planning even though the airlines didn't tell me me they cancelled our flight till 10 PM and after I purchased insurance as well.     I was not pleased to find dark mole in the bathroom ceiling. In addition, it didn’t make sense to pay $10 each night for parking when we drove up there for basketball tournament. It would be understandable if we used the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, but we drove down from Suffolk, Va! So why there’s a parking fee which doesn’t make sense at all.

    This was the nicest Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed in. It was free airport shuttle but I felt like they went over and above to help us! They were there waiting for us once we got off the plane, took us to the hotel. We went back down stairs to ask if they could help us get a taxi, so we could go get some food, the front counter lady was like "let me see what we could do," and talked to the shuttle driver. The shuttle driver, Ali, said, " heck ya, let me take you to this restaurant that wont disappoint you." She took us to the restaurant, stopped and helped us get a back of beer, and picked us up from the restaurant and took us back to the hotel. Ali went over and beyond for us and we could not be any more grateful! We would 100% come back and recommend this place to anyone traveling!

    Lobby and breakfast were nice. When we arrived check in was smooth. When we got to the room a housekeeper was "checking" the room. The room was very hot and we set the AC on 68 and left for the event we were there for. We arrived back 6 hours later the room was still 73. We had a rather hot uncomfortable night but it was late and kids were tired so we stuck it out. We were "surprised " that morning at 0900 while getting dressed when a housekeeper walked into our room without knocking and we didn't hear the card reader. We did let the manager know of these issues upon check out.

    Charged $11 to self-park in the lot. I have NEVER had to pay for parking in a hotel’s parking lot. Shameful.

    Called for shuttle service at 11:30pm. The nicest gentleman picked us up in about 5 minutes. Van seats were super clean. Check in was so easy. We made it to bed by midnight. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. overall a great experience.

    The room was comfortable and clean. We were grateful to have full size pillows instead of the small square ones. However, we were not expecting to have to pay $10 for parking per night, which is ridiculous considering the hotel was not downtown and there was plenty of space.

    The staff and cleanliness were good. The idea of paying for parking is ridiculous. The fold out couch mattress was really bad. My grandson was very uncomfortable.

    Overall a nice hotel. Would stay there again. The only issues we had was the commode wouldnt flush at first and the hair dryer was missing. Housekeeping was suppose to bring one, but didnt bring it before I needed to leave. Hopefully it still got replaced for the next guest.

    It's very close to the airport and has a shuttle service for it's guess which is a plus....it's a nice quiet area of Charlotte that's very cozy.

    The hotel could have been cleaner ex. There was urine around the bottom of the toilet, and on the last day we saw a roach in our room. The room itself was pretty ok, I would stay there again, because i understand things happen

    I can’t seem to get anyone attention from reservations all the way to the front desk I became Ill the day before the trip I never made it to charlotte and they charged me for 3 days stay I could understand if u charged me for 1 day but not three days I just feel like I should get some kind of a voucher or credit the fee back to my account

    Great place for the price. Short drive to downtown. Everything is good except that rooms on one side of building are a bit noisy at nights due to the proximity to highway and airport.

    Checked into hotel and my husband killed a cockroach in the lobby. That should have been a sign because we found one in the bathroom at 430 am and didn’t sleep the rest of the night. Room was dirty too. Told the front desk in the morning and they did nothing. Just said “sorry”.

    Staff is amazing always with a smile and a hello. Breakfast was so good the best I have yet to see for a complimentary breakfast. Fresh brewed coffee all day. Room super clean comfy clean bathroom very quiet not even sure we had people next to us it was so quiet. So close to the airport and the highway.

    The staff and outside area for this hotel were great. Overall the room was a great size. We had two queens and a sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was ver uncomfortable. The metal springs were very uncomfortable. The room was semi clean. Just surfaces, walls had stains and floors not very clean. Queen beds very comfortable. Quick and convenient for the airport but not many dining options nearby.
