The hotel was great!!! Beautiful grounds, lots of amenities. The only issue was I was charged for parking, which was supposed to be included. Not a fan of paying for hotel AND parking.

Then hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Disappointed about the lounge being remodeled and there is not a welcome gift or ready made drinks or beer. They do have soda and juices available. Breakfast was pretty good. The bed was firm to medium. It was more firm than I like but not a bad bed. View was nice from 12th floor. Restaurant offered vegetarian options, yay! Super close to shops and food. Enjoyed our stay!

Upon our arrival the room was hot and the thermostat said to replace batteries. Called the front desk and someone immediately came up, but obviously didn’t replace them with new batteries because they were dead again the next morning so we just went and bought our own. Bathroom door barely shut and vent fan did not work. They also placed 3 different holds on my card and could not give me an explanation as to why my hold was in 3 different charges and was double the amount that other guests we knew were charged.

Our room had no towels or toilet paper. We had to pay $11 a day to park our car on top of an already expensive stay. The room had dirt and grime on the shower and shower door. The bed was super uncomfortable. All around wouldn't stay here again.

Stay was great. Easily one of the best Hilton experiences I’ve ever had. Digital check in and check out, room keys, etc were seamless. Hotel is beautiful, clean, and in a great location. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfy. Bathroom was spotless and shower was great. Water pressure good. All the important boxes were checked off for me. I will most certainly be back.

Went there for our family reunion and thought it was lovely. Our room was big with an updated bathroom with nice amenities like Evelyn and Crabtree soaps and lotions. The food was delish and the staff was very helpful. My only gripe was in the back of the hotel there was no wheelchair accessibility for my niece who I was traveling with. We wanted to cross the bridge to the broad walk but there was no ramp, just 5 steps. We had to carry her down, carry the wheelchair etc.

Would have appreciated complementary parking but it's an affordable 10.99/night. We had a great stay. Will definitely be back.

The only reason I didn’t reviews hotel better was due to elevator. We were with a group and assigned multiple floors. You can’t go to other floors with staying on that floor. We would have to schedule to meet in lobby then go to the others room for socializing. I understand the idea behind the elevator but a key card should give you access to each floor.

However, if you have an allergy to feathers, inspect the room carefully.

I stayed here last weekend. I ordered drinks with my boyfriend at the hotel bar and we paid with 100 dollar bill. The man at the bar gave us a fake 20 dollar. He pulled the change to give us from his own wallet. We called HR and never heard anything back.

Could not buy sparkling water. Could not make tea in my room because the water tasted like coffee because it was the same machine for both. So is annoying when you can’t get the water you want. Something so simple

The Hilton Charlotte University Place was about as good as it gets when you're not at home. The only thing I missed was a place to pick up some munchies late at night. But that was probably good, because I definitely ate too much at the great breakfast in the morning.

Overall, this property checks all the boxes: The property is well maintained, beautiful lobby area and views of the boardwalk. It's within walking distance of several restaurants with a variety of foods to choose from, however we did not find a breakfast place close by. This is also within a 10 minute drive to the Truliant Ampitheater. The staff was professional and pleasant. There were only two minor drawbacks: We wanted to take a look at the pool, but our key wouldn't work. When we asked the front desk representative, we were told that the pool does not open until after Memorial Day. Also, the morning of our departure, the lawn care service started edging before 7am. Because our room faced the parking lot, it sounded like the edger was in our room! This action didn't seem to take the guests into consideration. Despite these two minor inconveniences, we would definitely stay here again!

Cons- You have to pay about $11 a day for parking. Don’t park under the trees or your car will be covered with orange sticky pollen type stuff. This isn’t necessarily a con but the elevators only work with your key card for your floor number or the lobby. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

We live in town but wanted to be closer to uncc for graduation, have a relaxing dinner and get a good nights sleep, we ended up with the wrong room, a king instead of two beds, our hvac was so loud we could not sleep. Our phone in the room didn’t work, so we could not call down for room service or anything else for that matter, which I thought felt unsafe, when I called from my cell phone I would get transferred and then disconnected, finally i wentt down to place the order, an hour or so later I had to go back down and check on it, 20 more minutes it showed up. It was two chicken ceasar salads, when my daughter showered the hot water was scalding hot that she could not shower properly and neither could I, I let the front desk know and nothing happened. The relaxing night before graduation was a mess and of course no refund for anything.. definitely would not recommend

We had a great day! The room was spotless and well equipped, the staff was kind and courteous, and the location is ideal to restaurants. The only thing to note, and I noticed it is temporary, but we booked an executive suite and we’re disappointed that we did not have access to the executive launch because it is under construction at this time. I do wish we had been informed of this when making our reservation. They did accommodate us and serve meals and snacks in a different room, but we were looking forward to enjoying the view and our time upstairs. We would definitely return on another trip despite that disappointment and are excited to see the improvements that they’ve made as a result of that Construction.

This was a quick trip ! The scenery was beautiful. I loved that the table in the lobby had charging ports everywhere and USB ports. Very modern. We checked in a little early which was wonderful for traveling guests. The restaurant had delicious cuisine. The pool not being opened until Memorial Day sucked. Not sure what the beginning of summer has to do with the pool for a Hotel. If it's listed as an amenity, it should be available OR it should be clear it's not open until a specific date. Our room was very far away . For guests with non-visible disabilities or injuries a question should be asked about closeness or if it matters. Walking that distance for the room was tough especially at the end of a trip. I really loved the hotel overall.

Room was clean and had a nice view of the pond and waterway. Our floor was having some remodeling done and restaurant was being remodeled, but didn’t affect our stay. Staff was professional and helpful. Quick check-in and check-out.

The hotel is generally fine.clean, nice bar_restaurant. But disappointed no complimentary breakfast. Beds were a bit hard and had issues falling asleep.

They gave us a handicap room which really effected the aesthetics and layout of the room. The bathroom was not nearly as nice as the ones pictured on the website. The carpet was also very dirty. There were a lot of crumbs and dirt around the furniture.

While I was disappointed that the pool was not operational during my visit, I do recognize that it was outside of the designated season for its use.

There was strands of hair on the toilet, shower, towels, and wash clothes. When asked for new towels there were stains on those and hair as well. I know these towels and such are reused but seeing someone else hair makes it hard to feel comfortable in any hotel.

Staff was good but couldn’t tell I paid for breakfast thru Expedia. There was a different code so it was not obvious at first. Make sure you show them your booking.

Everything is perfect except for two things: no water bottles in the fridge. No hand sanitizer in the gym. Otherwise, I absolutely love the place.

The first room I was assigned had no hot water for the shower. After reporting the issue, I was moved to a second room, but the air conditioning there was broken. On top of that, a generator was running constantly, and the noise was extremely disruptive throughout my stay. Cleanliness was also unacceptable. The shower had clearly not been cleaned — the previous guest had shaved and left hair all over the shower floor. I reported these problems to three different front desk staff members, yet no one ever came to fix anything. To make matters worse, the hotel phone lines were down during my entire stay, so every time I needed assistance I had to go up and down the elevator to speak with the front desk in person. I normally trust the Hilton brand, but this experience was extremely disappointing.

Nothing. A lot of pimps and prostitution going on at this hotel. We felt so unsafe we decided to leave shortly after arrival. Hotel manager was not helpful nor able to relocate our room which had clearly been kicked in before.

We were there for a professional conference. The inside of the hotel was great, clean and comfortable room, very modern and stylish, but several cars in the parking lot were broken into while we were there. The windows were busted out. I was afraid for my adult daughter and myself to go out and walk around in the area.

The queen size beds are more like fulls. They hurt my back horribly. We booked them for the view because the kings were booked for lake view but I would rather look at trash cans than feel the uncomfortableness of this again.

To begin with, the hotel was way too noisy. We heard music and people talking next door. The noise was loud that it kept was awake. We called reception to inform, but no action was taken. The noise was troubling next night as well

The hotel has been remodeled but the HVAC system is still trash. It was extremely loud ! It disturbed me when I tried to get to sleep and I had to turn the tv up really loud . This particular weekend was full of people who wanted to party all night with loud talking and smoking marijuana

Friendly staff, clean rooms! I think it was a great bang for my buck. I will definitely stay here again! There wasn't anything I didn't like. I'll be back again soon. I love CLT and I love this hotel.

For a Hilton, this place is pretty subpar... some beddings were ripped and stained.

the room was nice (aesthetically) as was the rest of the building. Outside of the surface appearance, the hotel was severely lacking. Staff was unpleasant and arguably rude. There was no blow dryer in the room. There was no available food after I believe 10 or 11pm. The dining room was closed. There was no room service or even a vending machine. I had medication that required food to be taken with it. There was not even small items available for purchase at the front desk. It was obvious that major corners had been cut. It felt chintzy and a far cry from the Hilton that garnered an outstanding reputation in the past.

I was at a conference and I found bed bugs and the general manager was talked to and was supposed to get back with me. I haven't heard anything from him yet. Bed Bugs and your general manager not following up with the problem of bed bugs. I had to take my grandsons to the doctor for all of the bites and they confirmed that they were bedbug bites

The staff were friendly from the moment I checked in. The room was clean even though I did have some trouble with the shower door not closing all the way. It was close enough to shops and places to eat but not too far from downtown either. I would definitely stay here again!

We asked one of the staff cleaning the rooms for a washcloth and they didn't know what it was because they could not speak English. So we went without for another day

Currently under renovations but still very nice, room was comfortable however the toilet float was not functioning properly and made a horrible noise that would not stop until I jiggled the float, the bed was comfortable, has a decent restaurant and bar.

Room 340 needs to repair the thing that holds the toilet paper. Brown water came out of the faucet the first night.

The bigger issue was that the shower drain was clogged. Within seconds of turning on the water, there was over an inch of standing water around our ankles. I reported this immediately and was told maintenance would be coming, but from check-in to check-out, no one ever came to address the issue. Additionally, we were charged twice for the room and are still waiting for the second charge to be refunded.

When you shower the water temperature will fluctuate repeatedly between extremes I guess depending on other rooms use of water / flushing. Horrible shower experience.

This hotel is nice. The room was very big and very clean. No complaints. If I’m going to come up with something I’d say the trash can in the room was very sleek and very stylish and very useless. So tiny it holds nothing (same with the bathroom one). For rooms that have fridges and microwaves you know people are going to have food boxes to throw away so forget style and give us a real basket. Also it said no housekeeping unless you request it. I did not but housekeeping came in anyway. While you’d think this would be a pleasant surprise I actually wish I had known so I could 1 hide certain things better (though nothing was stolen) and 2 use towels like there’s no tomorrow instead of conserving. I don’t care how often hotels do housekeeping but please stick to what you say you’re going to do so I can plan accordingly. These things are very minor. I had a great stay and would stay again.

This place was great! The only problem was the escalator was broken so we had to use the elevators which was highly inconvenient since there was a tournament in the hotel. Otherwise it was pretty great:)

Nothing negative to say; our son goes to UNC-Charlotte and this a great place to stay(we are from out of state) that is convenient and has a lovely staff.

Ice maker broke on the floor I was on. Couldn’t get to another floor due to the elevator only allowing to your floor. Iron was broken. ( in several pieces) not even sure why it was left in the room. Never got the replacement that I requested. Went down for coffee in the morning and was rudely replied to by the lady in the restaurant that it’s normally for just people in the restaurant.

The room needs a lot of updating. Room had a stench to it.

I had to leave after 30 minutes due to an asthma attack because theirs is such a strong odor from the spray that this hotel sprays EVERYWHERE!! I couldn’t even make it to the desk and I messaged the desk on the app many times and no one bothered to ever answer. When I finally called at 3 am to ask them to please finish my check out and explained the situation they said to check with the app I booked for a refund they couldn’t do that and I had not even asked for one I simply wanted them to take in consideration the health hazard of these heavy aerosol sprays they were using and how they can be harmful for some. I would never ever stay here again and I’m very disappointed because I normally enjoy a Hilton hotel stay. You need staff that care and for someone to remove the harsh chemicals and replace it with something safer for people and more eco friendly.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Expedia gave a deal for $5 breakfast and the desk clerk said there is no free breakfast! Goodness. Said we should check the fine print with Expedia. It’s not the $5 but it is a major blow to my confidence in Expedia.

Convenient location 2nd time staying here, will probably content stay here when visiting family.

2 nights in a row several cars were broken into and vandalized. Dirty dishes from room service were left in the hallways for days.

We stayed here because we were going to the PNC music pavilion for a concert. This hotel is awesome! Gorgeous, lake view was so cool, beds so big and comfortable! Felt posh and comfortable. Huge tv too! Such great shopping and food nearby. Very happy with our stay.

Bathroom was dirty including dirty towels. This was the 2nd room..1st smelled like smoke. Area was boring nothing to do. The shops next to were half empty either for lease or being worked on. Staff was nice.

I loved the shower being clean and no paint all over everything! The toilet was clean, just thought the design of the room was odd. There was no counter space for the toiletries so that was an issue, especially for 2 people. The breakfast was not cooked well or either bad from the store. The croissants were small, hard and definitely going bad. There were not good like the double tree WS university location. The fruit was going bad, the eggs were slimy, and the potatoes were too mushy, not solid at all. I could have bought a better breakfast, which is what we did the second morning of being at this location. Thank God we stayed the extra night because I was sick all day from the breakfast and needed a long nap to reset my body.

We were in town for the Dallas Cowboys and Panthers game and I must say the hotel checked all boxes for us and we will be staying here for every trip to Charlotte going forward! From the staff at the front desk, the bar staff down to the room attendants we were really impressed! We also like that it’s location is outside of the city so we don’t have to fight traffic to get in and get our daily! 10 stars!

Hotel is gorgeous! overlooking cute lake with a walkable boardwalk. gotta eat at Boardwalk Billys right on the water. outer surrounding areas a little less safe so stay around hotel and lake. room service excellent, fresh and delivered quickly! be sure to request a lake view room, it's worth it !!!!

The staff was very helpful and attentive to all of my needs. The hotel was clean the grounds were beautiful. I took a walk around the lake that’s on the property.

Was not a fan of hotel; area was dirty (not hotel, but surrounding area,) we were put in same room as another patron, double room booked… front staff did fix it, but was incredibly awkward.

Room was nice and clean however the beds were terribly stiff. I found it hard to get comfortable. This was my second stay here and my previous bed was the same. I called down to the front desk to ask for makeup remover and was told they don’t have any. The exit sign was hanging off the ceiling into the hallway on floor eight, it seems maintenance needs to work on a couple things.

Good place

We attempted to check in at 4:00 and the room wasn’t ready. When we did get a room the window faced a brick wall of the hotel. The room was “well used” and not very comfortable.

Nice hotel, great location close to the university. Room service ended at 10pm and no vending machines on premises so make sure you have what you need before you get there.

The property is in a good location and is very scenic. However, the walls between the rooms are very thin.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially when we told them my fiancé was scared of heights and didn’t want to be on a super high floor. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had at any hotel I’ve stayed at. The room was extremely clean as well as the facility. The location was also easy to get to and was very beautiful! We will definitely be back when our concert we were supposed to attend gets rescheduled!

Property is great and very convenient, sadly I had a jewelry bag go missing...which I never like to place blame but after 6 calls, conversations, and messages to the property I've gotten no return call to address or even to look "in the lost and found." This is VERY disappointing as my daughter is a new student at the university and I would have loved to stay here often but this will make be thing twice!

Clean, great location for us while we visit our daughter at UNCC. The hotel is huge. There's a nice workout facility and close to so many things in the area it's located at. We plan to stay a lot in the next four years!

I stay at this hotel weekly

The hotel room itself that I ended up in was great. But the first hotel room that I checked into smelled like smoke so I had to go downstairs and get another room. The room was comfortable, the temperature was comfortable. But I did get locked out of my room twice Saturday because evidently the battery in the door was dead so I did have to go to the lobby in my pajamas to get someone to let me back into my room. they were fairly quick to get me some help. Probably just a fluke and I would stay here again.

It was a very disappointing stay to say the least. Our refrigerator button was broken so we couldn't even keep our drinks cold. I'm truly hoping for someone to reach out to me because that stay was horrible. .

Property is close to the PNC arena. Check in and out was easy. Room was comfortable. Small refrigerator was a bonus.

Hotel is modern and very clean. The negative parts of the stay were exceptional loud air conditioning unit that kept kicking on and off throughout the night. The beds were also very uncomfortable. I understand that these things were at no fault of the employees however we did not enjoy our stay due to these things.

The property sits adjacent to a lake with a lovely view. It provided for an added amenity to an already beautiful hotel site.

Second, Housekeeping didn’t clean the room right and than we called the front desk and the bar to bring us clean glass cup they never did, I had to go down to bar and grab 2 glass

Got a great view of the AC units, Room 615. Could see the lake off to side but it was not as shown in photos. Asked for another room but sold out and since I booked through Expedia not much to do. No vending and they were out of water. Forgot a couple toiletries, they don’t offer toiletry items Walkable to restaurants and nice area.

Great service

The staff were very helpful with questions we had about transportation to PNC Arena. We had access to the executive lounge and found the view to be wonderful. Towels and amenities in the bathroom were great. The only fault we found with the room was the coffee that went with the coffee maker. It was not that good. Overall we had no complaints.

Rebecca at the front desk is truly exceptional! I had some issues over a few days, and she went above and beyond to ensure my next room was perfect. She genuinely made up for the lost sleep and inconvenience caused by the toilet, sink, and missed room service. Rebecca was incredibly pleasant and attentive, making me feel valued and never rushed. She's the main reason I chose to extend my stay with Hilton. She's a tremendous asset, and I'm so glad she's the first person I encounter when I arrive. Because of Rebecca, I have rated this so much higher.

Stayed one night for the Rod Stewart concert at PNC. Close to venue. Close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very pretty and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a safe area. We would definitely stay again.

The rooms are okay, nothing special. There was no A/C in the hallway, room A/C worked great. Ice machine on our floor did not work. The property is nice, pool was great. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. The restaurant and bar are ok, a little expensive. "Don't use cash at the bar". Long story.

HORRIBLE! I came to the hotel an hr before check in time after driving five hours & was told I could not check in. Sat for 30min & saw the same lady tell others they could not. Then noticed other employees checking people in. Walked over to one & was checked in w/no issue. Explained their were people in the lobby & bar that were also denied check in. I have a disability & request a room close to elevator access. Was given a room at the end of the hall on the far side of the hotel. I came back from the event w/no handicap parking available. I had to park six rows from the hotel. There was no lighting which was extremely dangerous. It could barely walk to the hotel entry. The front desk employees were talking & laughing. I even stood there for a few mins & was not addressed. I gave up. I have never been so dissapointed staying at a hotel. I will NEVER be back and will NEVER recommend!

The night shift staff was rude. No vending machines and nothing open late. No waters in room. We had 2 rooms with 6 people and she gave me a hard time about getting a water for everyone. Finally gave me enough for everyone, and basically said that’s all we could get. I wasn’t asking for anymore.

Lakeview was beautiful

The hotel was beautiful, and our room was clean and comfortable. When we arrived, a very bad storm had just started, and caused the entrance of the hotel to flood. We had to walk through large pools of water to get to a side door just to enter the building. The staff was helpful, though, and made us feel better when we checked in. My main complaint would be the elevator situation. The hotel had a large convention going on, which backed up the line for the elevators that were already running slow. When we left the next day, people had been waiting in line for the elevator for 40 minutes! We decided to take the stairs, which was 8 flights down. It was awful having to carry our suitcases down a stairwell that wasn’t air conditioned. It was very inconvenient, as we were on a time crunch to get to a college orientation.

It was okay they just need more options for the expensive breakfast they have but other than that everything was great

The only downside was the pool closing at 7:00.

I liked that there were many restaurants and shops around the hotel. The night staff was welcoming and very helpful but the morning staff was kind of stand offish and didn’t really want to be there.

the air condition unit was making nose off and on. the front automatic doors were not working. unit 321 only a lower rack in the closet to hang pants but no upper rack for hanging dresses. slept with the lights on. surrounding area was nice.

Great location if visiting Concord, NC area. The access to the restaurant and walkablity around the hotel was a plus. Beautiful pond and paddle boat area. The personal welcome on the TV was a nice touch. The staff was VERY friendly and courteous with every interaction I had with them, professional. The hotel was close to the highway and closer to many stores an things to do.

My stay was great. Every time i visit down Charlotte this is where i stay. The people are always friendly, very nice and will do anything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This is definitely my home away from home. 10/10 I will always recommend them to my family and friends!
