Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Airport Lake Pointe

I had to book this Hampton Inn due to missing our connecting flight for bad weather. The free shuttle service, yummy breakfast, and the comfy beds were great to help with a stressful situation. Nice place to stay.

I informed the staff that the room felt dirty, but they dismissed my concern. They told me that because I reported the issue more than an hour after check-in, they would need to take pictures and send them to the manager before doing anything. However, I had left the room only 10 minutes after arrival because the Wi-Fi was not working and I needed internet access. I did not use the room; I simply dropped off my suitcases and left. After a long trip from Mexico, I did not have the energy to deal with unnecessary complications and arguments with hotel management. Later that evening, after a long day of traveling, I went to bed and discovered hair underneath the bed covers. When I requested clean sheets, the staff brought them to my room and I have to change it myself. I paid $233 for one night only to sleep in a dirty room and bed. There was also excessive noise from people partying and drinking around the pool after 11:30 PM, making it impossible to get proper rest before continuing my trip the next day. I called the front desk to report the noise, but nothing was done. My trip had been perfect until I arrived at this hotel. This property completely ruined what had otherwise been a wonderful travel experience. This hotel should not be associated with the Hilton Honors brand. After more than 20 years of staying at Hilton Honors properties, I am shocked and extremely disappointed by

The website shows the rooms have pull out sleeper sofas that is not true! Also you have to pay to park in their parking lot which was unexpected. Otherwise it was great.

Had an early flight out, left at 4:30am. They had "to go" breakfast bags since we were too early for breakfast there. Outside our room was the pool area. A big party was going on and quite loud (we needed an early bed time due to early flight). We called the front desk and they were very prompt in moving us to another room close by but on the other side of the hotel. Quiet there.

Very clean. Decor was less agreeable - clashing colors in rooms and carpet in shared hallway between both hotels. If that doesn’t bother you, your stay should be pleasant.

This was our second time staying here and we really enjoyed it. My son and husband had a great time with the pool table and they provide bottled water when you check in. Breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the waffles that we could make for ourselves.

The only place I always stay when flying in and out of Charlotte. The free airport shuttle is the icing on the cake to a perfect hotel stay.

The room was clean and spacious. The shuttle service from the airport was quick and super friendly. We had a great greeting, around 11:00 pm from multiple staff members. They were very friendly and informative. In the morning there was a gentleman working the breakfast who was restocking so fast we didn’t have a chance to miss having anything!

We weren’t allowed to schedule our shuttle took the airport until we arrived in property. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t get in until late and by that time all of the shuttles were full so we had to use an Uber.

This was the perfect place to get to where we needed to be..easy in and out, (be prepared to pay for parking $10 per day which was super affordable compared to nearby hotels). The pool area was so cute, and there were a ton of breakfast options on the buffet. The staff was super helpful, we will definitely be back.

This was a totally confusing experience. Part of the hotel is Blu and other is Hampton inn. BUT THIS WAS NOT MADE CLEAR WHEN I BOOKED THE HOTEL. This made for a difficult van pickup as the van was written both names. I called the number you sent but it was not answered for many attempts. People on the van which we finally got were also confused, this should be corrected.

My flight was canceled and I had to spend an extra night and was thrilled to book a room as I always enjoy Hampton Inn & Suites as one of my go-tos and the location was great. The woman at the hotel (purple/pink hair didn't catch her name) was delightful. When checking out I ended up at the Tru desk and the lady there was so disinterested in being helpful. Literally, she could not have been more apathetic.

We had a great experience; breakfast was great, I like the variety of foods served. The bathroom was clean, well ventilated and great lighting. The room was clean and smelled clean as well. I also like the location to restaurants and activities in the area. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying at this hotel again.

The property is close to the airport and not too far from various dining options. The property was not what we have come to expect from a Hampton Inn. In fact, I wasn't sure if I'd walked into the "attached" Tru Hotel. There were no indicators that we were in a Hampton and I felt like we were just in a non-descript property and wondered if I could've saved money by booking a room on the "Tru" side.

The free breakfast was really awesome. Great friendly staff to help you out also. The room is so nice and snug also, very comfortable & accessible from the lobby. Lovely place to stay, would definitely stay there again.

I checked in to the hotel, the evening staff was fantastic. When I got into bed, after being asleep for a little while, I felt something crawling on me. It was a tick. When I called the night desk, the person on duty was unhelpful. When I checked out early the next morning for an early flight, the night person didn't get up to discuss the issue. I even brought the tick in a cup to show her, in case she needed to see proof. Her rapport was less than expected. Very disappointed.

After being stranded by American in CLT, the Hampton Inn was a Blessing to arrive at midnight. A very friendly desk staff and super clean room as well as Very Comfy Bed!. The free breakfast was great as well.

The level of sound proofing is simply unacceptable for an airport hotel: you hear every plane that flies over. Moreover, there is insufficient airport shuttle capacity to guarantee a spot at the desired time. We had to get up 30 mins earlier than necessary because the shuttle at our desired time was fully booked. Again, unacceptable for an airport hotel: why stay near the airport except so that you can get up a little later for an early flight? Finally, the breakfast starting time of 6:30 am means that people catching an early flight can't have breakfast before they leave.

The breakfast selection was awesome! The shuttle service is great as well, we received a email before our stay explaining how the shuttle service works. I don't like the fact that there is a fee to park a vehicle, $10.00 a night.

Our flight was cancelled late night so we were stuck. I logged in and found this Hampton close to the airport. It was quick and easy to make the reservation, and 15 minutes later we were being greeted by the front desk clerk with a smile on her face. The location is perfect if you need a place close to the airport. The included breakfast starts early, which was perfect because the hotel shuttle took us back to the airport for our morning flight. Nothing.

The air conditioner (or something else by the window) made loud pops all night like someone was throwing rocks at the window. Not a great experience but maybe they were just having an off night… Very clean, other than the rocks at the window it was very quiet.

Paying for parking using the QR code and app was difficult since there were glitches during the process. If someone didn’t have a smart phone; how would they pay the fee? There should be a work around for difficulties.

This was the perfect stay I had in a long time! I stay there for 4 days and everyday was perfect! The staff was great, the hotel is clean, the rooms are set up nicely and the king sized bed I slept in was so soft and comfortable I didn’t want to leave the room! All in all I would definitely come back and recommend to others. Oh and one more thing as far as food the hotel is not situated close to many choices so keep in mind you have to drive and find what you’re looking for. Other than that I had a great stay!

The hotel was great even though I paid in advance and when I checked in the clerk really spoke like I was illiterate when it came to using a card for accidental fees. I paid for my room with a chime card but when she asked for a card to keep on file she pointed at the card machine and said what does that say- yes there is a note on the machine that they don’t take Chime but that how I purchased the room and for her to point and say what does that say made me feel some type of way. But other than that the rooms were great and it was very clean. But they do charge for parking which I think is crazy as well. When I checked out I asked the guy for a receipt so I can show my job since I was there for a funeral and they needed to pay me back his response was oh since you paid on Hotels.com they emailed you a copy- ummm that’s not what I asked but okay. I’ve booked many hotels through this website and when I ask for a receipt it’s never a problem.

The 3rd party parking is advertised on the hotel counter as $10, when in fact after "fees" it comes to $12. Just advertise it as $12. A roach crawled across the floor in my room (I have video proof) but because I used Expedia and didn't book through the hotel, they wouldn't do anything about it. :(

Two things I wish I had known: parking is not free and there is another Hampton inn by the airport (so make sure you put the address in instead of just clicking whatever comes up in Google Maps).

The man who drives the shuttle was extremely rude. The room had an odor and the bathroom was not clean.

My kids were delayed on an airline; needed a place to stay. I called and asked about age limit and they sent me paperwork so my kids could have a hotel room until the next flight out on the next day. Peace of mind knowing that my children could sleep somewhere other than an airport for 12+ hours. So lucky this place was willing to work with me at the midnight hour and beyond.

I ordered two rooms with king size beds connected. We got one room with a king size bed and one room with two queens. That’s not what I ordered.

Upon arrival to the airport, it took several calls and a wait of over an hour to get a shuttle for pickup. Departure from the hotel was much smoother without any delays. Convenient location. Very pleasant staff. Thank you for accommodating me with early check in so I could get ready and go cheer on my Panthers. I would stay again!

This hotel has an airport shuttle. It was the reason we booked this hotel because it was just an overnight stay between flights. The shuttle took maybe 30 minutes but we were in no rush. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel

Nice hotel. Evening staff was great. Morning staff was a disaster. Booked a 530am airport shuttle that left early with no warning and without us. This significant lapse in customer service was of no apparent concern to the pair behind the front desk who insisted we arrived late although we clearly had not. We waited for the 6am shuttle while they laughed and joked with each other. Very unprofessional.

The stay was wonderful. The food was amazing. The only issue I had was before I checked out I informed the lady ( busy on her phone), that I had to drive to another city in NC to get handicapped husband meds. Just an hour before I was due to check out I called her and let her know I was in traffic and got lost. She said it was okay, however she failed to inform other staff who disturbed my husband and called me to find out when was I checking out.. Upon checking in I had issue with electric blinds not closing, Chelsea took care of extending our stay but the maintenance guy came knocking on the door too early for us when I instructed them not to until late in the day. These were the only two issues I had ( Communication) .

Front desk receptionist was nice even though it took a while for my reservation to show in the system because it was booked through a third party (expedia). Room was very spacious and clean. Loved that it had microwave and refrigerator. Smart TV was nice. Good shower pressure, spacious bathroom. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner needed to refill though. It is connected to Tru Hotel which is nice. You can use their facility and lobby (pool table) as well. Parking cost $10 which is crazy, given that it's not that close to any restaurants in the area or downtown. Went to check-out, no one was the front desk and a lady who was sitting in the chair told me to put my room key on the desk. I guess she was the receptionist. Overall, I would probably stay again if in town again.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was top notch with a variety of options and a rotating menu from day to day. Would definitely recommend!

Very quiet for sleeping,However there are no restaurants within walking distance which was unfortunate for us because we was dropped off and had no transportation.But we called our ride back to take us to get carry out.

A great place to stay. Clean, safe and they even gave us a breakfast bag to go since our flight was leaving earlier than breakfast being served. The hotel shuttle was super convenient too.

Beautiful property and clean and comfortable. Did not like having to scan and pay for parking separately however.

The stay was great, the fact that we have to pay for PARKING is absolutely ridiculous. I wish I had known that prior to booking, I would’ve stayed somewhere else. I have never in my life had to pay for parking at an establishment that I was already paying to stay at. Though the hotel was nice, I will not stay here again.

Clean room near airport

Booked a last minute stay here when my flight got cancelled. I love Hampton Inn because it’s predictable: you always know what you’re getting: a clean, quality room that’s updated, comfy beds and friendly service. This location did not disappoint, although it is a bit further from airport than I had anticipated. Great stay.

Was pleasantly surprised by how quiet this location was considering how close it was to the airport. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had great options including smores waffle batter!

Everything was perfect except for the fact that there’s nothing close to the hotel, if you want to go to a restaurant or even a convenience store, you’ll need either a car or uber. But the hotel was excellent, the breakfast and everything.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. After our first night stay, we were shuttled to the airport. Upon arrival back, our flight did not get back until 12:30 a.m. Our shuttle was there to pick us up within 10 minutes. Everyone made our stay great.

BUT Paying for parking was not nice! This was not disclosed when I made the reservation. I CAN stay in other hotels and not pay parking.

Everything was great! From check in to check out.

Showed to check in and was told, not offered, to pay a $50 "incidentals fee" and then to give my contact information to a third party while standing in the parking lot in order to be charged $10 to park in a lot so full I had to park by the dumpster. "Security" was a sign in front of the building warning about security cameras in the parking lot. Ridiculous! Room was laid out with television on a wall you couldn't watch from the bed and the microwave was at ankle level.

Great place for an overnight layover! Great location, safe, super comfy bed and pillows and 24/7 shuttle which was why I booked for a 6am flight.

Hotel over all was clean the only thing i didnt like it that they charge to park your car there

The stay was nice. Parking is super crowded. There’s not much around it, so you have to drive to get to things. DoorDash was on point. Room was nice and cozy, the door to the bathroom is not my favorite. It’s a sliding door with no track on the bottom so it swings wildly. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Staff was kind! Front desk associate was amazing, I wish i could remember her name. She had red lipstick and a slick back ponytail, black woman and she was so hospitable and kind! Giver her a raise! 5/25 around 12noon.

The place was clean. Great hospitality and customer service. It's very close to restaurants, the airport and shuttle. It's $10 per night for parking-which is quite affordable. I will definitely visit again.

Never experienced this at a Hilton property before and hope i never do again. Running into other guests in the hallways commenting about how unhelpful desk staff was also compelled me to write this because it made me realize that it wasn't just me being overtired. Hilton- retrain or find folks who like to assist people. You seem to have it figured out in other locations.

Room was a good size. Bed super comfortable and large walk in shower. Breakfast was decent with fruit, eggs, meats, grits, oatmeal, breads, and waffles. Front desk staff and shuttle drivers were all very nice and efficient.

Convenient location to airport. I find this side of the hotel to be much more quiet than the conjoined sister hotel. Rooms are nice, beds are comfy. They do charge for parking as an FYI. Stay here every time I fly out of CLT.

Evening and night time was good but the next morning had a bad sewage smell in the room and outside the building.

It was a nice hotel. Nothing really stood out, over the top good or bad. The breakfast was good and the room was clean. Nice snack area in the lobby’s and a nice pool table. Had one small issue of a slug on the wall of the dining room near the window. Outside of this, we had no issues.
