    I got an email from Hampton the day of check in that parking in their parking garage was an extra $35.00 a day (part of their new and evolving policies) for their customers. They also no longer offer a free shuttle service. My husband is disabled. I wish I knew about these changes from last year's stay here. Free continental breakfast was disappointing. Staff tried their best with what they had to work with. But they ran out of OJ, the waffle maker was broken and they ran out of milk. They no longer clean or empty trashcans in rooms during your stay. Some staff were amazing, (breakfast service, evening desk) others were not, (morning desk).

    Other than the parking the hotel was nice and clean and felt safe We came back from a concert and could not find a parking spot. I call the staff and they advised that there is overflow parking down the street if we cannot find parking. We were not told that during check in and already had paid $25 for parking at the hotel during check in. I felt like not everyone in the garage was staying in the hotel even though in the booking it said you had the have a reservation.

    The times for the breakfast were given to us incorrectly so when we went to breakfast they had already cleaned it up and we did not get anything. We were initially told that breakfast was an hour later then what the actually time was.

    The beds are very uncomfortable. You have to pay $35 a day to have parking at a hotel that you’re already paying for. The staff is not the most friendly people. The room was clean and the hotel is clean. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of options to chose from. Overall, it’s an okay place to stay over night but if any longer than that I would definitely go elsewhere.

    However, after the initial hullabaloo of check in, we were very pleased with the room. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was great- with both hot and cold options available. The hotel is in a great location- close to dining, music venues, and downtown activities.

    Adrian was very accommodating. The sliding bathroom handle came off. So Adrian recommended we go to another room. Then the new room he had us use, the handle on that bathroom door came off the nail. We appreciated his timely response and quick action to assist with this issue. The parking garage and the access to my room using the elevator from the parking garage was very confusing.

    There was a knocking noise that I believe was coming from the elevators (that I was right across from) that went on all day and night and prevented rest. Additionally, both USB ports in the nightstand were broken.

    Everything was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good every day with a nice variety. People seemed to struggle figuring out the parking garage gates, and the pool wasn’t too special, but they did have one. Great location in Charlotte. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

    It was an overnight stay for going to the NASCAR Coke 600 race and it was great. It is right next to the NASCAR hall of fame which we also visited. It was a great nights stay. The staff was great and allowed us to stay parked so we could visit the hall of fame without having to find a parking spot. Beds were amazing and place was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

    The breakfast was fair. The muffins were "tough", the chicken sauage was a hockey puck and the bananas were disgusting. Looked ok on the outside but the inside was always brown and mushy. One waffle iron was broken so waffle lines were super busy and long. You maybe need some better options. The breakfast staff were all nice and pleasant.

    Zero safety (all entrances were unlocked without requiring a key card to enter), hotel was okay but dirty and not in great condition; room was not available despite checking in an hour after check in time; staff was hesitant to deliver extra pillows, evening onsite manager was friendly but unprofessional; day time onsite manager was unhelpful - we left a child’s blanket behind - he said housekeeping would look for it and call me back. He never called back, I called again, and he stated that they didn’t find it (although we are 100% sure it was left). The location was not ideal compared to other area hotels - would not recommend.

    He also helped me find a quick bite to eat. Very helpful and courteous staff. Morning breakfast was just fine. Coffee was fresh. I chose this property due to its proximity to the convention center. I felt safe walking by myself late into the evening to and from restaurants and events. (Unlike other cities) Room was clean, and even though I was in close to the elevator, it did not bother at all. Unfortunately I won’t be back as my annual event is back to its old (unsafe) city. But if it ever moves again, I will certainly stay here again.

    The breakfast was good The pool room was to small and way to much chlorine turned my granddaughters hair green right away. The bed I paid for was a king and they gave a queen. The pull out bed was super uncomfortable. There was no shampoo, conditioner or lotion in the bottles. The shower and sink was super slow to drain. The hot water did not work on the last morning :( Do t stay at this location. Garbage was left by the elevator for 2 days.

    Disappointing Experience – Misleading Marketing The marketing was 10/10, but the reality was far from it. - Our room had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the carpet was soaking wet — likely due to a leaking AC unit. - The bathtub didn’t drain, the toilet flush was absurdly loud, and the door slammed shut with a bang, just like all the other doors all night long. - Breakfast was basic. Scrambled eggs were mixed with milk — not what I expected. - The pool looked big and clean in pictures, but in reality, it was small, foamy, and uninviting. - I emailed ahead and was promised cheaper parking info, but the staff on-site knew nothing about it. - The parking lot was dirty and worn down, and I had to pay for it, but I was warned that they don't take any responsibility. - Free wifi? Yeah, if you fill out a bunch of data about yourself... So it is not free... I may have higher standards, but this was far below what’s acceptable for the price.

Also the business area had no computet and the printet didn't work.The stagf was resourceful and helped me get a cab when checking out. I would stay there again but plan to get a cab to and from the hotel

    The only issue was my brother drove down & the hotel wanted $35 per day to park; so he had to park on the street for $6 (which was cheaper) but every 4 hours up til 10pm & he had to get back to his car to pay for the next 4 hours bc the mobile app wouldn’t let him do that from a distance where we were at (Bowlero) so he had to go back to his car near the hotel & stand in front of it in order to pay on his phone & at times it wouldn’t let him do that until he moved the car up the street or across the street… That was the only issue we had… Also, just a SUGGESTION: I get ppl love their fur-babies (animals) but yall really should have a selective floor(s) that animals w/their families stay on bc we stayed on the 4th floor & the room my sister & her family stayed in #409 had my niece asthma flaring up & sneezing all weekend bc @ some point there had to have been an animal in that particular room bc that’s the only time her asthma flares up like that which is if she’s around animals (hair)… Thanks for the Amazing stay & I got to celebrate my #Chapter55th Birthday w/my family❣️ Stay blessed & Happy New Year to you & the staff🙌 Mrs Katena Felton Jersey City, NJ

    We chose this hotel from all of the ones in the vicinity only because of the indoor pool for our toddler—which was FREEZING! The entire room was very cold but the water was so cold we felt it and had to come up with other activities because we simply couldn’t use it. Why have an unusable pool. Such a disappointment! We tried for a long time to get in but it was colder than hose water. Also you could feel VERY cold and through the air vents (it was 20-40 degrees outside so a/c shouldn’t be on). There was coffee in the lobby but no creamer. Hot water but nothing to use it with—no tea or hot chocolate anywhere in the hotel. The parking is $35/night which isn’t advertised on Expedia or their site from what I could see. The keycard wasn’t working in the parking lot so we had to go back downstairs through the cold parking lot and into the main lobby doors instead of through the parking lot door into the hotel. I asked for an extra bath towel and got a floor mat. The charging ports in the room don’t work. The staff was very courteous and friendly and the room was clean. The woman in the continental breakfast was running around trying to refill everything as needed. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again having other places to choose from in the same area without a pool

    Check-in took forever and then some more. We arrived 2 hours after normal check in time and there were no clean rooms to accommodate us. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get a room. After we got our luggage and went upstairs the room they gave us was being cleaned up!! So we had to and request another one! Very noisy hallways and we could hear everything going on in the street, sirens, cars etc.

    When heat was used in Room 303, the room filled with a strong rotten egg smell for about ten minutes. Staff acted exasperated when I reported it. The most serious issue happened Saturday at 745am. A kitchen fire triggered evacuation but there was NO fire alarm or flashing alert inside Room 303. We were only warned because someone from our group ran to our door. Had that not happened, my two children and I would have slept through an active fire. The front desk response was nonchalant and dismissive. The fire alarm went off again at 958am, with burning smells and another evacuation. We also faced excessive 45 dollar nightly parking and had to walk in cold weather with a sick child. This stay involved physical injury, safety failures, and negligent staff response.

    I have stayed at Hampton Inn in various places all over the country. I am an honors member as well, but I must say that from the very beginning interaction was at best challenging. I was not greeted with a smile. Conversation continued to be condescending from a person named Ravon. He gave me the impression constantly that I was asking him to do me a favor instead of asking to do his job. He was not friendly or helpful.One thing that I’ve never ever heard of at all my stays at any hotel was for three days. they were not able to provide tea then finally on the third day I asked the other gentleman at the counter why isn’t there Tea available? He said I’m gonna run next-door right now which was the Hilton. He left the counter unattended to try to get some tea I thought that was so unprofessional. So my wife and I decided to walk to 7-Eleven about a mile and get her some hot tea. I also asked for some assistance. I left my charging cord in my car in Michigan very little to no effort was given to assist me in anyway of trying to get another cord. I’m also mentioned that I was an honors member that seemed to do nothing with him. I don’t expect much of anything to be done to change what has already happened but I do wish for the sake of the next person that comes, but there’s some coaching opportunities provided for the front staff .It would be nice to be greeted with a smile and a good attitude. Things I remember the Hampton Inn being known for.

    Front desk worker and the maintenance guy that fixed our shower were the only reason this isn't 1 star. Picked my room out on the app and prepaid. Arrived a bit early at 3:49pm(for check-in at 4pm) and room wasn't ready, okay thats no big deal. Come back at 5:30pm after going to runners expo to be told the room still isn't ready. Get into a room that isn't the one I chose or even the same type (chose a king suite with pull-out that was 'available' on the app) after 6pm and 3 screaming kids who just wanted to go to the pool. All this after checking-in online and requesting a digital key. Room was fine expect for the broken bathroom door handle and the broken shower dial that wouldn't allow the water to be warm. The pool was also a disaster. You might as well call it a cold plunge and we had to cut the kids pool time short because they were shivering. Not exaggerating to say it was the same temperature as a cold plunge tub......in November. Usually always look for hampton inns to stay when traveling but this one will be off the list permanently.

    Room was in good condition. Staff were not too friendly. Had prepaid for the room but was asked for a $200 security deposit on check in. The front desk person could not really explain the reason why. He went from security deposit to “incidentals” but couldn’t explain what those were. On checking out this morning, I asked the front desk person why I had to pay the $200 on arrival and he said incidentals as well. Again I had to ask him to explain. He mentioned the vending machine for example and told me that I opted to pay the $200 which I did not. I did not have any choice when I checked in. I finally asked him when I was checking out if it was refundable and he said yes in 2 days time which could have been explained on check in. Staff needs to be better trained and act more professional in my mind. Also, internet service was sporadic at best

    Great check-in, was very quick and the front desk receptionist was nice. Explain how to quickly get to my room from the parking garage and loved the free cookies. Room was clean, loved the amenties like Netflix on the tv and other steaming services. Although the room was clean, it could use a little dusting and the bathroom is a little outdated. A short walking distance to the Spectrum Center and surrounding restaurants. One thing to note: one of the ladies from housekeeping was rapping a very explicit song and playing music loudly from the phone while cleaning the rooms on the 5th floor. Although I did laugh a few times because she was rapping the lyrics so strongly and probably didn't know I was in the room, other patrons could have been offended by the words that she was rapping. Overall, nice stay and I will be back if in the area again.

    A good stay on a budget. However, hotel management have questionable judgement in placing Tip QR code based cards in each room for room cleaning !! For goodness sake, the tipping culture is already out of control without having to pay extra for something Ive already paid for. Pay your staff properly. Cleaners shouldnt expect tips, and shouldnt have to factor them in as part of their compensation arrangements.

    Went to check in at 4:00. Lobby full of people waiting on rooms. Didn’t get to check in at 4:00 had to wait. Late evening reception desk very rude and dismissive. Won’t stay at a Hampton Inn ever again, and will discourage family, friends, and clients from staying and to steer clear. They used to be decent, good even. Not anymore apparently.

    The room smelled VERY strong like a wet dog. Did I say anything? No, because I had a very early flight and got into the hotel at 10am. They said they would let me check in early at 1pm. I just opened my laptop and kept my luggage close. I was thankful they let me in early. I didn't want to spend any more time in the lobby, so I just dealt with it. After that, I didn't want to pack up all my things to move to another room.

    Compared to other Hampton Inns we have stayed at it was below average. Just a lot of small things. Coffee in the lobby wasn’t hot (checked three times). Luggage cart not available at check-in, and they are the small ones. Parking was 25/35 a night, can’t remember which. That is common in the city though. The AC at the window doesn’t do enough for the full room. Sliding door on bathroom. No microwave to heat up the luke-warm coffee.

    Great hotel close to the convention center! It’s about a 5 minute walk. I felt very safe walking to and from the convention center as a single woman. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the employees were so nice! I didn’t eat the breakfast, but I was happy they provided yogurt, bananas and apples to go. The ac unit was a little loud (not an issue for me, I like white noise), but if that bothers you, be aware. Nice beds and towels, which was appreciated.

    Everything was awesome except for Garry at the check in desk. He acted like he had a chip on his shoulder at all times. To give you an example I told him that I had lost my door key. He got me another key, but he looked real stern at me and told me never to lose lose that key again. He was very hard to talk to, and I did not want to talk to him about anything that I needed. I didn’t feel comfortable to do that cause I didn’t like his attitude. The other Desk clerks were awesome.

    Checking in was smooth and easy. Once we arrived to our room we saw a dying roach (not a water bug) on the floor next to the bed. I went down to check-in and let the gentleman know what I found and he told me that they were fully booked and could not give me another room so he said he would not charge me for parking during my stay. I agreed and went back to the room but when we were removing the sheets and the comforter from the bed we found a dead bug between the sheets and comforter. I went back down to check-in and told the gentleman about the bug we found in between the sheets and comforter and how we were not comfortable staying in that room. He was able to find us another room but that room was very dirty. The sheets and comforter had stains, the pillow cases were dirty, the countertop sink in the bathroom was dirty, and the carpet was stained and dirty. We had to run to target to get sheets, pillow cases, a comforter, towels (we did not trust that the towels were clean), Lysol, raid and Clorox wipes. I would not recommend staying here it was awful. The location is great but the hotel was not worth the price. I had to pay for my hotel stay AND cleaning supplies plus sheets etc. to feel comfortable. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you’re planning a trip to charlotte.

    The pool was closed due to maintenance with no advance notice to guest. I booked this hotel so that my kids can enjoy the pool during the day. Unfortunately, I had to find other ways for my kids to enjoy their stay. I was called multiple times about a noise complaint as I watched a movie with my kids. I was told by the manager that he did not hear any noise other than a TV but requested to lower my TV due to the noise complaint. I find this extremely unprofessional. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay. I recommend families with children to book elsewhere.

    I stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall, the experience was just okay—not terrible, but definitely not great. My room was never cleaned during the stay, which was disappointing. We also had to keep asking for pool towels, and it was frustrating that our key card never worked to access the pool. On top of that, the room had a stale smell, and there was a large blower set up in the room to dry the carpet, which made it feel more like a maintenance zone than a comfortable space. Definitely not the relaxing stay I was hoping for.

    I've stayed at many hotels in the Charlotte area and many in the Hilton chain across the U.S., I don't think that I would stay at this one again. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, the ironing board fell apart when I lifted it off the wall rack, and no sheets in the room for the fold-away bed. The breakfast was okay, the personnel on duty were all super friendly and helpful. Kudos to the staff for doing a great job!

    Bath tub drained poorly. Faucet and bath controls were loose—thought they’d break. Someone in a room above us was bouncing a ball at midnight. Called front desk and they said they’d take care of it. Called again and they said they called a few rooms and no one answered and that’s all they could do. Bouncing went on for who knows how long. Had to wear headphones to fall asleep.

    We were not told online that you had to pay a $150 deposit upon checking in. That really thru a monkey wrench in our plans. When we were checking out we could not even get a receipt for what we paid or for the deposit. Lady at desk when checking out was not very friendly, act like we were disturbing her from her phone. I had to ask for housekeeping & for what we paid I should not have to ask for housekeeping. First room we were sent to was not even clean. Bathroom had hair and soap residue in the tub and sink had a stuck stopper where water would not drain. Then moved to another room that had no stopper in sink at all just a open hole, microwave was non-existent. I was not changing rooms again so decided to tough it out. We were very disappointed.

    I will get straight to the point. The two issues I had with this place are this; (1) we arrived to a room with a clogged sink. Due to the time of our arrival we couldn’t get that fixed till the following morning which made things like brushing teeth and washing hands problematic. Second (2), we discovered that at some point prior to us, someone had bleed and left a large blood spot on the mattress. Dried or not, that’s not something that should just be covered with a new mattress cover and left there. The entire mattress should’ve been replaced. We told the front desk about it and they agreed as well as stated we’d get some portion of a refund. Though I don’t believe we ever got that.

    Blood on sheets. Found a pill and hair pins on floor. Got woken up at 725 and 755am by a wake up call we never requested. Went downstairs to request this be taken off for our second morning and were assured it was fixed. Nope. Got woken up twice on morning two as well. One star for the bathroom storage and counter space. It made getting ready super easy.
